Summary: The one lie that Izzie made left her shaking and breathless. Dizize One-Shot
Disclaimer: I do not own any of it, it all goes to Shonda Rimes.
Author's Note: Okay, I just wanted to write some Dizzie one-shots, get it all out of my system. And then I'm hoping to write a semi-long Dizzie chapter ficlet, so stay tuned for that.
One Lie.
Izzie Stevens hung up the phone with her shaking hand. She was breathless, her one lie left her that way. She told Burke a lie, something she couldn't take back, but it wasn't one she wanted to take back anyway. Looking around the sugerical floor Izzie knew what she had to do, but she didn't all at the same time. Denny was everything to her, the first man she'd ever love and she wasn't going to let him die because of 17 seconds.
Nodding her head quickly Izzie walked from the phone that she was standing at. She had to do something and she had to do it quickly. Breathing hard she managed to move her way through the hospital, but she couldn't think. She couldn't manage to get even one sentence out in her mind, she was freaking out too much for it. She couldn't let this heart get away, she couldn't. Denny had waited way too long for this, he needed this heart. He wasn't going to be left without again. Izzie walked quickly through the hospital, earning herself quick glares at those she quickly rushed passed. She was shaking and all Izzie could think about was Denny, she had to get him that heart, it was all up to her.
She was angry, she realized as she made her way to where she was sure Mer and Christina were, she was angry that Denny might not get the heart after all he'd gone through. Denny deserved the heart, she wasn't sure if he needed it more then the other guy, but he still needed. Izzie found her two best friends, she spilled it to them about what happened. She told a lie and she had to make it look real.
Christina was the one who have her the initionive she needed to go through with anything, her words were the ones that made her realize what she had to do. Izzie Stevens grabbed the medical equipment that she knew she'd need and she drove it into Denny's room. He looked up at her from his bed and she knew she had to do it, it was the only way. And she needed to get Denny that heart. She loved him and he deserved nothing less.
