Author's note: well a lot is about to happen, this is where my story really starts to change and I hope you enjoy what is yet to come. So please enjoy!
2 months earlier...
It was eerily quiet. You could hear the wind blowing through the hallways as not a single sound was silence was deathly and fearful, people cower in corners trying not to breath hoping to not be heard, not knowing the sounds of their hearts racing was louder than any sound they could make. In the distance, no one knew how far a blood curdling scream was heard.
"INSOLENT BASTARDS, ALWAYS DOING EVERYTHING FUCKING WRONG" the sound of a fist connecting with the person's body could be heard, the body whistled through the air before cracking into the wall. The man was seething with rage, "Every fucking thing I do has gone wrong! Every. Fucking. Thing." the man screamed out between breaths as he wailed on the man for no reason. The man he was beating was beyond dead but he cared not. The man was so lost in rage all he saw was red, that or the man's blood was in his eyes. Again he didn't know or care.
After a few minutes of wailing on the dead body, the man stopped before looking to his underlying. "Find another one and we try again." the man knew better than to speak he had never seen his master so angry before. Or ever.
His master was used to failures, that's how science worked, trial and error until you got it right, but recently things in life in general had gone wrong, and his brilliant masters head was clouded with unneeded emotion, and it was taking its toll. The man couldn't seem to do anything right outside of killing people. What exactly this new project was, was a mystery but he knew it would have to be great. He hated being in the dark about projects, he was a genius in his own and enjoyed helping. Kabuto sighed as he got up and walked out of the room to find more test subjects, he never understood why they would all pile up in a corner as if that could hide them.
He opened the cage door, "So, who's next up to serve Lord Orochimaru" Kabuto smiled as all the people in front of him screamed in horror begging and pleading not to be taken back to the monster of a man known as Orochimaru. Kabuto didn't care who was next and walked forward grabbing someone by the collar of their shirt and dragging him along bringing him to the back room where Orochimaru was experimenting.
"Took you long enough to bring another one, knock him out and leave" Orochimaru wasn't in any mood for back talk or disrespect, Kabuto quickly rendered the man unconscious and left the room.
The snake of a man approached the man, "Usually I keep people awake when I experiment to see how they react to my procedures, but not this time. I need precision and with you squirming around I can't get any work done. Now stay asleep" with that Orochimaru got to work. Meanwhile the other test subjects were in fear, usually they could hear something but the absence of any sounds was even more terrifying than the screams that usually accompanied with other people leaving. After a few hours though a chill went down everyone's back though, the most terrifying sound they could possibly hear was heard. "Ku, ku, ku…" Orochimaru was happy, whatever it was scared the people in the cell.
"Looks like its your lucky day" Kabuto said as he approached the cage and opened it. Everyone finally thought this was it, they could leave and go home, be with their families again. "Instead of being subjected to experimentation and most likely being killed painfully through trial and error you're all free," everyone screamed in happiness, meanwhile Kabuto just stood there waiting for everyone to calm down. "I never said you were going home, you're free to now die painlessly, by my hand, though if you squirm or run it will be painful" everyone's face quickly turned to fear, while Kabuto smiled an evil smile before he charged the group of men left. He quickly slaughtered all of them. After he finished cleaning up the mess, Kabuto walked back to the experiment room, "What do you wish next of me Orochimaru?"
"Get ready to travel, if I'm correct our next plan of action will finally bring the demise of the leaf village. Calling off the attack really hinder our plans, but it has given me the time to research something I had almost forgotten about. I have half of my answer with that dead body back there. The next half should give me a power beyond everyone, including that Pain bastard. Its a good thing they still believe I'm working with them, that Akatsuki has proven its worth that is for sure." Orochimaru continued to ramble for a moment, meanwhile Kabuto was kind of scared. He's never seen his master this overwhelmed and excited about something.
Orochimaru was giddy though, something no one has ever seen the man be. Orochimaru like anyone else has been happy of course, but to be visibly giddy was almost terrifying. It's unlike him to be like this, Kabuto still wasn't aware of what exactly was going on but he knew it was big. He just wished he knew what exactly it was that the man's body provided him. The village where they found these people was across the sea! It was amazing to be on the other side of the ocean, not many people travel to the other side of the world, most of the world is connected besides random islands. But this part of the world was a land all on it's on just like this side of the world. Whatever answers they find will indeed be something amazing.
Back to the present
"Jiraiya-sama, how close are we to finding Lady Tsunade" Arashi asked as the trio walked down the road to the next village.
"She's in this next village actually, if memory serves right from what Naruto showed me than we will definitely run into her. Lets not look for her but enjoy ourselves, we'll see her when we see her." Jiraiya was confident they would find her so he didn't have a care in the world at the moment.
"So what are we gonna do first Ero-sennin?" Naruto asked as he walked with his hands behind his head. They had been walking for most of the afternoon, the village was now in sight though, being a tourist town they had nothing to worry about. There was no ninja to stop them, they had a minor police force, but no real ninja in the village, but being in the Land of Fire the village was protected by the Leaf and the Daimyo's forces regardless.
"Let loose, I'm gonna go find a bar, you two do whatever, meet me at the restaurant tonight ok Naruto?" Jiraiya told Naruto, not really looking for a response back. Naruto nodded and he and Arashi veered off the path, Naruto wanted to train and Arashi wanted to follow the boy.
"Naruto-sama, what is it we are going to do?"
"I don't know about we, but I am going to train, you are more than welcome to join me though. We are family after all, I'm doing work on seals anyways, working on speed with my finesse. I want to make sure my handiwork comes out clear but quick." Arashi smiled at hearing this.
"If that's the case I can help you, I can check your work for you and watch how you write, see where you're messing up and how you need to improve, what kind of seals are you going to make?" Arashi asked, finally getting excited, this was something he could easily do to help.
"Not sure, just a bunch of random ones, small seals to large seals. Being able to seal the undead, to storage seals, to writing seals for explosive kunai and anything else I can think of." Arashi nodded thinking to himself.
"Ok what hand do you write with?"
"Well my right hand obviously" Naruto seemed confused by the question, and the man smirked.
"So you don't use your left hand to write at all?" Naruto shook his head no, again Arashi smirked. "Alright make about 50 clones. Today you're gonna work on writing with your left hand, don't worry about speed and finesse yet, worry about only using your left hand" Naruto's face dropped.
"What!? Why the hell would I do that?"
"What if you need two different kinds of seals? What if you lose your right hand/arm? You want to get better use your opposite hand, now make the damn clones" Arashi demanded. Naruto sighed seeing the logic, he grumbled out an ok while making the clones. The clones broke off getting space for themselves to work with and each one struggled to start writing with the left hand. The original Naruto also did the same thing, finding space to work with so he could work with his left hand. The minute he put the pen in his hand everything just felt wrong, it was uncomfortable and weird. His hand was shaky, he didn't like it, but Arashi's points made sense. So he tried the best he could, after ten minutes he finished making a storage seal. He was appalled by how disgusting it was. Naruto looked at his clones and saw some were adapting already. He quickly got rid of all fifty clones to get back the information from them, and he tried again. This time it was a little better, but nowhere near usable, he sighed making more clones letting them get back to work.
"This is going to take a while isn't it?" Naruto asked, making Arashi stop his training.
The man walked to Naruto took out two pens and two pieces of paper. Within seconds he made two different seals. "It sucks and it takes time, but you need both hands more than adequate with writing. Once you master that, then you can do this. Now get to work don't expect this to be easy it took me years to get it down" Arashi admitted, but the way he said it made him seem proud as if it was faster than other people. Naruto smirked though, if it took this man years, than he would need more clones. A lot more.
"Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu" Naruto smirked as a couple hundred clones filled the entire area around them. Each clone got their own spot and started to write, each time one got comfortable with writing they would disperse to share the muscle memory and information with everyone else. Naruto smiled this was the last bit of training, so he would have to go all out.
Elsewhere
"Ku ku ku… Kabuto…. Summon it." Orochimaru commanded his second in command.
Kabuto shuddered.. Ever since that day his master has changed, he still has no idea how the man did it. And how he found that summoning contract was beyond him. He never even knew it existed. The power that came with it is terrifying, he never thought Orochimaru would abandon the snakes.
"H-hai, Orochimaru-sama" Kabuto couldn't help but stutter, the man actually scared him now. Instead of the slick appearance he used to have, his body was more lean, he had more muscle on his body. His eyes were still slitted, but now his face was more defined, and his body radiated power. Kabuto was happy to be the new successor of the snakes, so with a quick few hand signs he summoned as many powerful snakes as he could. "What are you going to do Master?"
"Oh me? Don't worry about that" Orochimaru made the hand signs for the summoning jutsu as well, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu" Orochimaru poured as much Chakra as possible, summoning out the boss. The people in front of the two were already running about preparing defenses and fighting off the snakes, Orochimaru's forces were also moving in for the attack too. The village was in a panic, "Go on Kabuto, and don't die" Orochimaru said as his summon appeared and he jumped onto the head of the creature.
The beast hadn't been summoned in near a millenia. He smiled as he felt the wind brush his fur, he grinned his teeth and licked his lips as he let his power roll off his body. The beast leaned his head back and let out a roar. "So mortal, you are the new summon huh?"
Orochimaru grinned viciously, "Yes master, and what should I call you." The monster scared him, but everyone around him was frozen still in fear, the ninja ono both sides stopped attacking, even the snakes coward in fear, ready to disperse themselves if need be.
"Call me Kira, it stands for killer, and trust me as the leader of the hellhounds... whenever I'm summoned all that happens is killing" The beast grinned and with another howl he lept into the village.
Orochimaru grinner, now the Leaf village would stand no chance. Meanwhile Hiruzen was trying to get his forces together, "Everyone! Get your wits together this is war damnit" Enema was already by the man's side they were getting everyone out of their trance. Hiruzen knew it had to be Orochimaru when he saw the snakes, but this… beast. He left off a foul aurora worse than the Kyuubi. Hiruzen was truly terrified and this time they didn't have Minato to save them. He could just hope Jiraiya would be back soon with Tsunade, he didn't know if they could beat this beast. For the first time in his long life he wasn't sure if the village would prevail. Hiruzen prepared himself for a fight he never knew he would have to have. His troops saw him in his war uniform ready to lead the fight from the front, and that helped raise moral, Shikaku was already in position linking Hiruzen to everyone else so the god of shinobi could help strengthen everyone else.
Everyone was scared, but they couldn't afford to give up here, everyone was moving in position, surprisingly even Danzo was helping out. Hiruzen couldn't help but stare wide eyed at his old teammate charge in next to him, with hundreds of root agents coming from the shadows to help the fight. "Don't seem to surprised Hiruzen, I'm only helping out because even I don't think you could beat that beast. I can't believe it still exists but that's a hellhound. We should all be terrified right now." Hiruzen just nodded and took the extra help, lord knows he could use all the help possible.
"Take the left flank I'll go right, I'll leave all the root soldiers to you, don't order around any of my shinobi though unless it is absolutely necessary. They don't do suicidal missions without my authority." Danzo nodded in agreement, even though he didn't want to, and then shot off towards the other side of the village ready to fight, a handful of his agents following in kind. Hiruzen could only hope for the best.
With Naruto and crew
"So we're finally here huh? Can't believe it's already been three months" Naruto couldn't help but smile as they stood outside the village.
"We had fun traveling nonetheless, but from here on we've got to be a bit more serious, if it's like last time he's here too." Naruto nodded, he knew his master was talking about Orochimaru, the man has no reason for being here, but if this is anything like last time than the man would still show up regardless.
The three walked into the village sticking close by, it was busy, but that was to be expected it was midday. No one knew where to start looking for the senju princess so they just started walking around. Checking bars and gambling halls. Hopefully they could find her soon, if not Naruto knew where they would find her later that night. After a few hours of searching the 3 linked back up knowing where the women would be. Tsunade was as elusive as ever seeing as not a single one of them could find her or Shizune the entire day.
Jiraiya was joking around with the guys as they walked into the dinner, everyone was laughing and as soon as they walked in they heard a yell, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE" Tsunade slammed her hand on the table standing up and pointing at Jiraiya.
"See told you she would turn up eventually" Naruto said with a foxy grin. "Wait you can't be Tsunade she should be some old hag, you look 20" Naruto was purposely egging her on. He hasn't seen her in so long and it was fun to play with her.
"Well some people can just keep their good looks kid" Tsunade said all smug like.
"Sure baa-chan, whatever you say, I bet your just trying to hide the way you look so everyone doesn't see how old and ugly you are!" Naruto grinned when he heard the table crack, now she was pissed, "Hell I bet I could kick your ass any day of the week with how old you are"
"Alright Naruto settle down so-"
"No no Jiraiya, let the kid talk, thinks he knows what he means" Tsunade was obviously drunk, at this point the owner came out due to the commotion.
"Alright you all take it out back, there will be no fighting in here"
"You heard the man old lady, let's take it out back" Naruto said.
Tsunade had half a mind to throw the kid so hard he'd be out back in less than a second. "Lets go kid I'll show you a fight, not like you really know anything" Naruto grinned, this was going just as planned.
Jiraiya and Shizune both sighed at what was going on, the group made it to the alley way. "It'll only take me one finger to beat you kid" Tsunade said with a smirk, she didn't want to actually kill the kid, but he needed to know his place.
"Fine by m-" all of a sudden a poof of smoke appeared in the middle, everyone got ready to fight thinking it was some kind of surprise attack.
"JIRAIYA-BOY!" it was shima, one of the toad summons.
"Shima-chan what is it that you need that is so important?"
Tsunade and Shizune watched in interest, Tsunade knew the toad from the past, she also knew how high of a status this told held, for the little thing to be appearing and calling for her teammate must have been important. "Jiraiya-boy, the leaf is under attack I need you, Naruto and Arashi to come with now so we can help fight, Orochimaru found the hellhound contract" Jiraiya narrowed his eyes, Naruto was confused and scared by this. Even he had never heard of such a contract existing.
"So it actually exists? But how did that snake find it?" Jiraiya asked, he knew time was of the essence but he had so many questions.
"We don't know, we had thought the contract was finally destroyed since no hound has been seen from, or heard of in so long. But that no longer matters" By this time Shima noticed Tsunade, "Oh Tsunade-chan thank god they found you, hurry up and get over here so I can reverse summon you with them. We need all hands on deck for this battle." Shima practically ordered the women.
Shizune looked at Tsunade as the women seemed lost in thought at what to do, she wanted nothing to do with the leaf after what happened, but it was also her home. "Tsunade-chan we can talk later but for now come with us and you can leave afterwards if need be" Jiraiya said, all the joy gone from his face. This face he wore now was that of a battle earned shinobi, the Jiraiya she knew from war. She knew this must be serious, she nodded and grabbed Shizune and walked over to the group.
"Alright everyone let's hurry" Shima said clapping her hands together, in an instant they were in the home of the toads, Mount Myoboku. "Bunta, Fukasaku, everyone hurry and get here" Shima's loud shrill voice erupted through the valley, within moments they all came hopping along. "Ok good everyone's ready for battle, wait here I will use the portal to get to the leaf and I'll summon you all there."
No one said a word as Shima quickly left the group. Everyone's minds were racing but Naruto was scared. He had no idea what was happening or going to happen. Where could Orochimaru get this kind of power, how could he have found such a contract what the hell is going on! He didn't know where to start, but he knew that he would do everything possible to keep everyone safe. He just hopes that this isn't like the time with pain and when he shows up everyone's dead.
"Jiraiya" Naruto kept his voice low enough to catch the sage's attention, the man looked at the boy, "Hurry and get into sage mode, we won't have the time to wait when we get there, utilize the time now, I have a feeling we'll need it. If need be make one clone to stay here and utilize nature chakra for you and have it disperse that way you can use your sennin mode" Jiraiya nodded, how could he not think of that he had the time to go ahead and prepare. Naruto was smarter than he looked, but Jiraiya knew that.
The group stood there awkwardly waiting, unsure of how long this would take, but nevertheless prepared for war. Tsunade looked like she would be sick, Shizune was quietly talking to her, most likely calming her nerves. That's when it clicked with Naruto. The women hadn't gotten over her fear of blood yet. Naruto walked over to her, "Hey baa-chan you ok? You seemed worried, I thought you were supposed to be some kind of legend"
"Don't worry about it kid!" she snapped at him initially before saying, "I'm sorry it's just… its been a long time since I've been in a battle I don't know how I feel about this" She was also drinking not that long ago, of course she was already purging her body of the liquor, but the neurologic affects the liquor would have on her would still linger and she wasn't sure that she could help. This really wasn't good, she didn't want to activate her creation rebirth just to get over a drunken state, but at the same time if she had to she knew what to do.
"Well your a medic right?" she raised her eye at him as if to say 'no shit,' "don't fight than, do what you do best and heal people, that way they can fight for you, or just watch my back because I'm gonna be the next Hokage, and I can't afford to die just yet" Naruto grinned a foxy grin when he said that. Tsunade's eyes widened when he said that. All she could think of was Dan and her little brother. She looked down at her necklace and instinctively wanted to give it to him but instead she got harsh, "The Hokage is a fool's job."
It was more than a whisper but Naruto heard it, "You can think that if you want, but your wrong. It's not a fool's job some of the bravest men have given their life being hokage. They gave their lives protecting a dream of a free future that could be better for everyone, something your sensei, my hokage is doing now. So don't say it's a fool's job, because it's not and I'll be damn sure to prove that to you. Every day I'm getting stronger just to prove that even an orphan nobody like me can become the hokage." Tsunade just looked at him. She could go off on him, hell she wanted to but for some reason his words really hit home with her. So all Tsunade could do was stare at him speechless.
Tsunade didn't even know this kid but for some reason she was inclined to believe the words coming from his mouth. He was like a natural born leader. This kid made her start thinking on how much she really has missed in the last 17 years she was gone. After the death of her brother and Dan she left. The war ended and so did her ties to the village, but now she's realized she's missed an entire generation grow up, and this next one if they are anything like this kid she knew they would be great. Maybe it was time to start opening up, she didn't know yet. "Ok-" before any more could be said the entire group was pulled via summoning and what they saw was horrifying.
It was nighttime and the village was burning, or at least what was still standing, off in the distance the group could see Hiruzen fighting against Orochimaru, and the snake seemed to be winning, the hellhound was off destroying. Bodies lay everywhere whether they were sound or leaf it didn't matter. Jiraiya was still sitting still, Fukasaku watching him carefully making sure he doesn't lose control of the natural chakra. Naruto quickly hopped into action making clones by the hundreds and without a word they all dispersed into the village. Everyone quickly let the fear and worry of what happened wash over them and then let it go so they could hope into action.
5 Hours earlier…
"Everyone let us fight together!" Hiruzen yelled as he rushed to the front lines of his soldiers. Hiruzen quickly made 3 clones, one to utilize water ninjutsu, wind ninjutsu and fire ninjutsu, he would focus on his strongest element earth. Two of the three clones stayed close, the other one went to find certain ninja and give out orders, those being Kakashi, Gai, his son Asuma, Iruka, and a few others. He needed to get everyone in check and the fact he didn't have a microphone didn't help. He could use Inochi to help, but he doesn't want his plans scattered to everyone just his generals. Because they could make necessary changes if need be and he would trust their judgement. He knew not what Danzo was going to do, but if the man wanted to seriously help, than he had every reason to be worried and ready to go all out. Around him he quickly saw the fighting explode, he just hoped the villagers could get to safety quickly. The sun was just setting and the village was just getting ready to celebrate nightlife and go to bed, Orochimaru chose the perfect time to attack.
'Inochi, connect me to everyone real quick I need to make a clear statement to our forces.'
'Yes Hokage-sama, give me a moment' Inochi quickly did as he was told and started linking the minds of every ninja in the village, after he was done he prepared them, 'Everybody this is Inochi, do not be alarmed, I have connected you to the Hokage he has a few words for you, Hokage-sama'
'Thank you Inochi, now everyone be prepared for the fight, I have clones dispersed to certain Jounin to give out instructions and to do what is necessary, but I do not want a single genin in this battle, chunin and up only! No exceptions, only engage an enemy if you must, I want all the genin to get as many civilian and academy students to the hokage monument for protection now. It is up to everyone else to protect them as they make there way through the village. Now everyone this is not the time to bitch, this is war on our footsteps and I will be damned if we lose to this snake. Now everyone give the enemy hell!" With that Hiruzen stopped talking and swung Ennma into a group of enemies quickly knocking them unconscious. That was good enough he quickly through a few kunai to make sure they would not be a threat later. He had no time to play nice, it was time to finally take care of his student. He just hoped he could hurry before to much happened.
Author's note: So yea… big chapter here, a lot happened give me some thoughts, on this I'm still trying to figure out how to do this because in all honesty I didn't want to follow cannon on what happened I want something big to happen and mega changers to come because of it. So please read and review, let me know what y'all think.
