Author's note: Well here's the next chapter, I hope it's good for you guys. I try to be good with fight scenes, but they are a weakness of mine so I hope this is good for everyone! Let me know what you think, anyways go enjoy.
Naruto's face turned as he fought the two men. His sage mode just ran out and he still hadn't beaten them, which meant one of two things. Either he wasn't as strong as he thought, or last time he fought Akatsuki they underestimated him a lot more than he thought they did. Which wasn't something that sat well with him, he knew last time around they underestimated him a bit, because he was inexperienced and didn't seem like much. He also wasn't well known and they had to keep him alive, but now seeing them fight him while considering him as a real threat he saw that these people weren't randomly placed up. Hidan and Kakauzu actually made a strong tag team and covered each other's weakness really well. They were also a lot faster than they seemed, including Hidan when he didn't have that huge Scythe in hand. Naruto had picked it up at one point and noticed how heavy it was, which surprised him that the man used it with one hand so easily, it was like Zabuza with the Executioner's blade.
"It seems like you're going to lose this boy, your sage mode has run out" Kakuzu said, he had been staying in the background for most of this fight, Hidan took every punch and hit like it was nothing. Anytime he would lose a limb too Kakuzu would just sew it back on within a second or two. Which let the man stay back and attack with ninjutsu while Hidan focused on trying to get a drop of Naruto's blood. Which now without senjutsu seemed like it could actually happen because his skin lost the toughness it had.
Hidan smiled as he charged full speed at Naruto Scythe angled up ready to strike at Naruto who had a kunai ready to block the attack. "Time to die kid!" Hidan went to strike but his body froze in place, he looked confused as he tried to force his body to move but it didn't work, Naruto grinned his backup finally arrived. He sensed his clone dispel and felt the little bit of nature energy flow into his body, it wasn't much but it was enough for at least one good rasengan. "What the fuck" Hidan's face was obviously displeased.
Naruto readed a sage powered Rasengan and shoved his arm forward, "Whoa close one, warn me next time" Shikamaru said barley releasing his jutsu before Naruto attacked the man before joining Naruto at his side.
"Sorry Shika, I had to attack while I still could," Naruto said, his eyes never leaving his enemies as Kakashi and Sasuke landed next to him.
"What's going on Naruto, be quick" Kakashi said before Sasuke could even try to say something.
"These guys are pretty damn strong, they've outlasted my sage mode. They aren't underestimating me in the slightest, they make a pretty powerful tag team, if we split them up though I'm certain we can beat them. Kakuzu has multiple hearts, but I don't know how many so until those are taken out he won't die. I haven't even gotten close to him though because of Hidan. If we remove Hidan's head his body will stop working, he won't die, but he won't be able to fight anymore. Kakuzu can use his threads though to sew Hidan back together. He's mostly been using Earth and water type ninjutsu against me. I feel like you and Sasuke should attack him, me and Shika can get Hidan" Naruto said. Kakashi just nodded understanding everything.
"Ok me and Sasuke will do what we can, Sasuke has gotten powerful with his Ration and fire jutsu, and I'm naturally strong with earth and fire, so hopefully we can do good against him." The group split up as Kakuzu attacked with some earth spears.
The minute everyone's feet touched the ground they attacked their intended targets, Sasuke knew better than to question calls made in the middle of battle. He would have rather prefered to fight with Naruto and see how strong the boy was, but knew this wasn't the time to question anything even if he was a jounin and technically outranked Naruto now. He knew rank met nothing in battle, there was the person in charge, and the person who knew the enemy, and in the midst of battle you never question the guy who has been fighting the enemy.
"Shikamaru, stay hidden and use your shadow to try and trap this guy. If we can remove his head we can help Kakashi-sensei and Sasuke beat Kakuzu. Don't let this guy cut you though, if he gets even a drop of your blood he'll kill you before you know it" Naruto said, Shikamaru nodded and jumped back hiding in the shadows. He liked this cave because it was just dark and light enough for him to use his shadow as much as he needed to without it running out of room.
"Oh you're dead motherfucker" Hidan shouted charging at Naruto full speed with his chest caved in, how he was even breathing right now was beyond Naruto. He was sure that the man needed to at least breath to do anything. Maybe he wouldn't die but just stay conscious he needed air in his lungs… right?
Hidan began violently swiping at Naruto as fast as he could, Naruto had a kunai in each hand blocking best he could. He was doing all he could not to get caught by the Scythe he knew if he did that he was done for unless shikamaru got to him first. The man was proving more than enough to keep Naruto on guard while also expertly avoiding Shikamaru's shadow. Though when shikamaru made his shadow 3D to stab the man he didn't even try to dodge it he took the hit as he attacked Naruto still.
"That's not my first Nara that I've faced kid, as long as his shadow is 2D I just have to avoid it catching my shadow, and as long as I stay here in the dark of the cave my shadow won't leave my immediate body. So unless he can catch me he has no chance" Hidan said which was surprisingly smart for the man. Naruto didn't like this, these guys were strong and now smarter than he ever knew, and these two are supposed to be bottom of the chain. He already knew not to fight Kisame though, that man took on B full power and won technically. B got lucky and hid long enough to heal and get away, but Kisame was obviously one of if not the strongest of the Akatsuki aside from Pain, Obito and Itachi. Even then in a four way fight he's not sure who would come victorious out of that group of fighters, they were all extremely powerful and dangerous.
Naruto shook his head, he was getting distracted by things that didn't matter. He kicked Hidan in the stomach and took out his sword. He wasn't a master by any means, but neither was he a novice, thank you kage bushin, and he channeled wind chakra through the blade. "Come on Hidan, I thought you were an S-rank ninja. I'm just a chunin, aren't you going to beat me?" Naruto taunted the man, one thing he learned is that everyone in the Akatsuki save for like 2 people had a huge ego and it could very easily be played on.
Hidan though was like Deidra and thought to highly of himself, "Oh you'll fucking see how good I am you brat" Hidan said through gritted teeth as he charged the boy down swinging harder and faster with his Scythe. Naruto found it easier to block and dodge though, because now Hidan was swinging more violently but also he wasn't planning his attacks as much and just wildly swinging which made him more predictable. Naruto didn't believe it would be this easy to mess with Hidan. The two started to exchange blows and Naruto saw that Hidan's head was starting to cool down, and the man was slowly starting to get better with each attack. Naruto was gritting his teeth and he saw Shikamaru out of the corner of his eye bent over, it looked like the guy was thinking. He just hoped the boy would hurry up so he could get the help he needed, now that Hidan could fully focus on Naruto it made the battle that much harder. It was at this point he realized just how dangerous Akatsuki was. Just because he could face Jiraiya one on one, didn't mean he was as strong as the man. He had been watching the Sannin fight his entire life, it only made sense that once he got some real power, speed and skill that he would be able to match the man. That didn't make him better than the man and he was now realizing that, he just got comfortable fighting the man, he learned Jiraiay's fighting style inside and out.
"Naruto make a clone and send it my way!" Shikamaru yelled out, Naruto gritted his teeth, that was easier said than done in this situation.
Naruto then took a deep breath and focused wind chakra in his lungs before blowing out a powerful gust of wind pushing Hidan off guard before he cut off one arm with his sword and then kicked the man back. Naruto then quickly made a clone which left to go to Shikamaru while he got ready to keep fighting. "You bastard, that was my swinging arm!" Hidan shouted, making Naruto sweat drop at that response since the man had been swinging with both of his arms. "Yo Kakuzu, help me out with this" Hidan shouted picking up his arm and just waving it while blood poured out from the wound.
"Help yourself, I'm busy with these two" Kakuzu shouted back making Hidan pout as he just tossed the limb to the side.
"Useless zombie" Hidan mumbled as he faced Naruto who was now on top of him, his clone had dispelled and he knew Shikamaru's plan now. "Oo goodie, you came to me" Hidan shouted as he brought his leg up kicking Naruto in the chest hard. Naruto rolled backwards coughing as he quickly got up, barely being missed by Hidan's Scythe. Naruto brought his sword up just in time to parry the next attack which gave him the ability to also stand up now as he stopped the attack. "Really? Same trick as last time? I told you his shadow can't do anything to me!" Hidan yelled as he moved faster and kept attacking.
Shikamaru smirked when he heard this, but of course Hidan didn't notice it, only watching the shadow and Naruto as the two men fought. Shikamaru turned his shadow 3D using the shadow sewing jutsu to stab the man. Naruto quickly made a clone and they held the man in place as the shadow removed itself from Hidan, Shikamaru quickly used his shadow possession jutsu and made contact with Hidan.
"WAIT! What the fuck is this shit! You gonna stab me and than hold me in place just for that fucking brat to hold me in place!" Hidan shouted pissed.
"Honestly I'm disappointed with myself, it took me way too long to figure out to do that. I was focused on finding a way to catch you while Naruto fought you, that I didn't even think about having Naruto just hold you in place long enough for me to catch you, which I only needed a second to do." Shikamaru explained lazily as he put his hands in his pockets, Hidan's one arm mimicking the boy best he could. "Alright Naruto, go ahead and remove his head, I'll disconnect the jutsu right when you're making contact so I don't feel the backlash from that" Shikamaru said. Naruto just nodded and swung down with his sword.
"Oh cool, I'm decapitated now, so what! I'm still not fucking dead you assholes!" Hidan shouted, Naruto meanwhile ignored the man while Shikamaru looked on in amazement, he didn't believe the man could still talk without being attached to his body. He didn't even have a voice box now, this shouldn't even be physically possible. He didn't even want to think about it because it hurt his head.
Naruto meanwhile pulled out a scroll, while Hidan kept cursing at the two, "It's time for you to be quiet" Naruto said before sealing the man's head into the scroll and then shoving it into his shuriken pouch. "Alright Shika, let's go help Kaka-sensei and the bastard." Naruto said, Shikamaru just groaning at having to do more work.
"Kakashi cover me I'll test his defenses out" Sasuke said shooting ahead of Kakashi, the man just mentally shrugging as he moved his headband up and took his sharingan out to better keep up with the battle.
"Okay so I got an Uchiha, and someone whose half an Uchiha?" Kakuzu said/asked as he only saw one sharingan on Kakashi. "Oh wait, I've heard of you, Kakashi of the Sharingan of course how dumb of me. Your bounty is 100 million ryo brought back dead, more if brought alive to iwa though. Hidan parried Sasuke's attacks while making sure to avoid looking the Uchiha in the eye. "And of course Sasuke Uchiha, younger brother to my comrade in arms Itachi. Your bounty is only worth 200 thousand ryo, you haven't made much of a name for yourself, your brother though, his bounty is worth more than Orochimaru's and Orochimaru did and does some fucked up things" Kakuzu said before detaching his leg but still keeping it connected with the threads going through his body as he kicked Sasuke in the side. Before his leg retracted back to his body.
"You can say Itachi's name all you want, but I'm past the point where I get so frustrated at hearing his name, I'm not a child anymore" Sasuke stated proudly.
"Boy you don't know how much of a child both you and Kakashi are to me, I fought your first hokage and lived, I've even been in battle against Madara" Kakuzu said, putting a bit of fear into Sasuke as he heard that. He looked at the man thoroughly confused though, he looked Kakashi's age, it was scary to think that this man could be that old and still be this powerful.
Sasuke remembered what Naruto told him though, the man has multiple hearts, he's only lived this long from picking on the weak. "You may have fought my ancestor, and the first hokage, but you also lost to both of them." Sasuke said taunting the man, "It's not like you ever stood a chance against people like them either. That was also like a hundred years ago, you sure that you're still in your prime like us" Sasuke stated as he activated his Sharingan, he could tell the man was pissed.
"Oh I'll show you true strength boy" Kakuzu said as his arms shot forward at amazing speeds, Sasuke and Kakashi both dodged the attack and charged the man down with intense speeds. Kakuzu smirked and threw his arms back catching Kakashi off guard, missing Sasuke though as the boy used his sword to slice off the man's arm. Sasuke channeled Lightning chakra through his blade to cut off the threads around Kakashi's body. Kakashi landed on the ground rolling before quickly getting up and nodded a thanks to the boy.
The two men continued their charge and met them man in a dual hand to hand fight against the man. Kakuzu was annoyed because he couldn't reattach his arms due to the fact that these two wouldn't leave him alone. He had his threads and his legs and not much else until he could get his hands back. He was doing good fending them off, but he had to admit the Uchiha was fast and getting some good hits in. Kakuzu saw his opening and shot his threads out and wrapped them around sasuke's legs tripping the boy, he ducked under Kakashi's punch and kicked the man in the knee, making the man buckle underneath himself and fall over also. Kakuzu used his threads wrapped around Sasuke's body to throw the boy across the cave and shot forward to reattach his threads that were connected to his severed arms. Once attached he summoned his masks out from his body to help him fight. He had fire, water and earth threaded monsters and now felt a lot better about this fight.
"Sasuke be careful, I'm not sure what those things are" Kakashi said as he helped the boy up from the ground.
"Should I use the Mankeygou sensei? I can end this fight a lot faster if I do" Sasuke said, edging to use his eyes in battle.
"This isn't the time or place, we don't need you going blind from overuse. You still have itachi to fight, and the longer you keep that a secret the better" Kakashi stated, Sasuke sighed, he knew the man was right, but he wanted to test out his Amaterasu. He found it was so easy to use the ability, he wanted to see how damaging it was.
"What should we do then? I have a few lightning techniques I could use, but I don't know how good he is with wind jutsu" Sasuke said,
"I'll stick with earth and fire jutsu, you use lightning, we'll cover each other's bases." Kakashi said, Sasuke nodded and the two rushed forward.
"Doton: Furaingubōrudājūtsu (Flying boulder jutsu)" Kakashi shouted starting the offense.
Sasuke responded in kind, "Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu (phoenix flower jutsu)" covering the rocks in fire as he kept charging down.
Kakuzu met the attack with his own, "Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Encampment Wall)" He shot a stream of water out putting the fire out, and slowing down the rocks enough to make them lose their speed and fall before they could hit him.
By the time Kakuzu stopped the attack he had a kunai out to block Sasuke's sword. He quickly kicked the boy as his fire element mask automatically attacked the boy too with some small fireball's. Sasuke quickly jumped back dodging the attack before using his next jutsu, "Raiton: Chitenraisou (One-Thousand Heavenly Spears)" Sasuke shouted as Lightning bolts started to take shape and attack Kakuzu in a rain like pattern.
"Doton: Chika purojekushonfisshutekunikku (Underground Projection Fish Technique)" Kakuzu said as he quickly went underground avoiding the S rank lightning attack Sasuke sent towards the man. Kakuzu quickly moved underground to get to a safe area, he could feel the vibrations of the attack and was thankfully he got away when he did. There was now a crater where he was in the ground.
"Yo Kakuzu, help me out with this" Hidan shouted picking up his arm and just waving it while blood poured out from the wound.
"Help yourself, I'm busy with these two" Kakuzu shouted back making Hidan pout as he just tossed the limb to the side. Kakuzu silently hoped that they could find a way to kill that man while he also won the fight just to be rid of him. They made a good team but that's because he didn't have to worry about killing Hidan in battle. The man annoyed him to no end though, he looked back towards his enemies though. It looks like they were better than they seemed, he was actually giving his all against these two.
"Suiton: Mizu no tatsumaki (Water tornado)" Kakashi shouted as Kakuzu's eyes widened as he was sucked into a tornado of water. Sasuke met the technique with a lightning jutsu, Kakazu felt his body being electrocuted as he was also suffocating. He used his threads the best he could to protect his body from the damage of the torrent of water but it was hard to do so.
Kakuzu landed on the ground coughing out some water, silently commanding his masked monsters to send out some earth and fire attacks to distract the two. He quickly recovered and got on his feet only to get stuck in place. His eyes looked down and he saw that the Nara had trapped him.
"Good thing he was stuck watching these two, he didn't see us beat his partner" Shikamaru said as Naruto nodded.
"Kakashi, Sasuke, are you two good?" Naruto shouted out as Kakashi took a seat on the ground giving a thumbs up and Sasuke just nodded. Narut's clones destroyed the three masks, thus ending three of the man's hearts. One dispelled itself as the other two surrounded Naruto as he started making his rasenshuriken. "It's time for your reign of pain to end here Kakuzu, you've lived long enough" the man's eyes looked in horror at the attack Naruto made, he knew his chance of survival was nonexistent.
"Don't you want to know our plans?! What we're doing! Make a deal with me" Kakuzu started to beg.
Naruto ignored the man as his face turned to anger, "You attack me and my kind and ask for mercy," Naruto's head shook as he shoved his arm forward, "Rasenshuriken!" Naruto shouted as the attack tore into the man's body, his screams horrific as the blades of winds tore into his body. The attack started to explode outwards before it finally ended the man flying backwards into the wall, what little of his body was left.
Naruto was breathing heavy as he fell to one knee, he used a lot of chakra in that last attack. "We could have kept him as a prisoner" Kakashi said.
Naruto shook his head, "Not with his threads he would get out of any prison, plus we have Hidan's head, it's still talking so we can use it." Naruto stated. Kakashi nodded and everyone sat down. They earned a small break, unbeknownst to them though a plant man watching the entire battle slowly left the scene to go report to his leaders.
"So Kakuzu and Hidan have been defeated? And what about the jinchuriki of the seven tails? Were you able to recover her?" Pein asked as Zetsu looked at the man.
The white half responded, "We were not able to get her with everyone there, there was a good chance we would have been defeated. But the Nine tails power has grown tremendously. He can use sage mode of the toads, and the jutsu he uses is terrifying indeed." Zetsu said, the black half nodding back, "If we leave the nine tails unchecked we won't be able to capture any of the jinchuuriki" The black half said.
"I understand, I will have to handle this myself then, thank you for telling me. Send in Tobi please, we need to talk, and I have a village to go see." Pein said, his face unchanging as if it didn't matter too much.
"Yes sir, we will go get him now" Zetsu responded before inking back into the earth.
"Alright guys, we've taken a long enough break let's pick up the Jinchuuriki and get going" Kakashi said, everyone nodded as they got up to their feet. They took time to eat and rest after confirming the girl was still breathing and alive.
They walked over to the girl when a man popped into existence in an Akatsuki uniform. "Well hello there everyone. I'm not very happy you took out two of my coworkers, but you see I still need this girl so we'll be going now" 'Tobi' said as he reached for the girl.
Naruto and Sasuke both were instantly on top of the man trying to attack him, but they both phased through him, losing momentum Sasuke crashed into Naruto. "Good try, but not good enough" Tobi grabbed Fuu and the two left just as quickly as he appeared.
"Ok what the hell was that? Who the hell was that? What just happened!?" Shikamaru was beyond confused. Somehow this man came out of thin air, and when there two best fighters attacked him nothing happened. The fell through him like he was a hologram.
"That's Tobi" Naruto said through clenched teeth. He and Kakshi knew the man's real identity, but he couldn't say anything. "He's an Uchiha, or so we believe because of his Sharingan eye, and he's very good with space time ninjutsu. He could be anywhere by now" Naruto said as he punched the ground as hard as he could, the earth cracking underneath him.
Naruto knew what he needed to do, "Kakashi take everyone home and tell Tsuande I'm going to Mount Myoboku. I'll be back soon but there's something I have to do." Naruto stated. He quickly pulled out two scrolls one he rolled out over the ground the other he tossed to Shikamaru. "Shika, that has hidan's head, take him to T & I. We need information" Naruto then activated the seal in front of him and was reversed summoned to Mount Myoboku leaving the group extremely confused.
"Does he have the authority to do that?" Shikamaru asked out loud.
"Doesn't really matter now, he already did. Let's hurry and get back, we're about to have one very upset kage" Kakashi said, everyone else just nodded in agreement.
"Naruto-kun, what're you doing here" a small toad asked as Naruto poofed into existence.
"Ma, perfect I need a favor from you. Can you please find Jiraiya and bring him here to me. Tell him it's time to release the fox" Naruto said, the toad was shocked.
"Are you sure? This is very dangerous, can you handle it?" Ma asked the boy.
"Yes I'm sure, we don't have a lot of time to waste so this has to be done now" Naruto responded, he wanted to wait but Akatsuki was about to come at him with their full power, and he could no longer wait. Even if that meant going rouge.
"Ok I'll go get Pa and we'll get him, please wait for us to get back" Ma said, Naruto nodded and just headed towards the middle of the toad's city. He needed to clear his mind, and the best way to do that was practice his sage mode.
Author's note: Well the ending was kind of rushed there, I'm sorry about that. But some big things are about to happen, who can guess what it is? Anyways I hoped this was a good read, if not well…. I tried is all I can say, until next time!
