I know from experience that most people don't even read the little blurb before the story, so I'll try and cut to the chase.
This is my first fan-fic ever, but I've had a pretty good idea of what it should be about for a while. Personally any fic involving a second ghost kid annoys me, so don't worry, Cari doesn't have any ghost powers.

Night had not yet fallen. The skies were darkened with storm clouds when it started to drizzle. A young girl looking about fourteen or so was hunched over sitting on a boulder. She had her head tucked in her hands, crying. She was surrounded by a lush green forest of tall oak trees.
If only I had listened. None of this would have happened, I would be home, surrounded by my friends and family. If only there was some way to undue what happened.
The girl heard a shouting. She didn't expect anybody to be able to find her. She was quite deep in the forest. As she listened closer she could make out to voices. One belonging to a young man, about her age. The other voice sounded much more sinister.
"Hello?"
She lifted her head up, revealing two bright round yellow cat-like eyes.
"Is anyone there?"
There was a vacuum-like sound, and the voices slowly died off. The girl, Cari slowly rested her head back on her arms. Maybe tomorrow she would go back into town. She reached into her pocket and pulled out $20.
"Well, I can't expect it to last forever; I'll have to use it sooner or later."
And with that said she got up and started hiking her way out of the woods.

"Aww, c'mon Sam! Please?" Danny and Tucker pleaded.
"Not even in your dreams" Replied Sam. "There is no way I'm going to the Outback Steakhouse."
"But it's the last day before summer ends, and you got to choose the restaurant last year!" Complained Danny.
Ever since they started middle school, they had celebrated the beginning of the school year by going out to dinner together. And every year they had this same argument.
Sam Moaned. "You're not gonna drop this, are you?"
Just as Sam predicted, Danny nodded his head.
"Fine, but at the end of the school year we're going to The Veggie Barn." She clenched her fist.
Danny leaped up in the air and gave Tucker a high five.
"Man, I never thought she'd give in!" Said a surprised Tucker.
Sam groaned. "Lets just get this over with so I can get home and make myself a salad."
The three walked off to celebrate the last day of summer, and the start a very different school year.
