A/N: it's been a while since I wrote, this is my first original Chapter so please go easy on the reviews. I hope you all enjoy this Chapter. Xeno and Xion are my OCs Nobu, Haruka and Sakura belong to my Co-Writer Skylanderzilla make sure to look up his stories they are nice.
Davis opened his eyes, and saw that he was in a destroyed city. He was shocked at what he was seeing, the streets were particularly destroyed with flames seen through parts of the area. Buildings were destroyed or were mostly still standing, the sight of this made Davis feel uneasy, this was like something out of a horror movie.
'Is this… hell?' Davis thought to himself, did he and the others die after being cornered by the Tyrannomon. He suddenly remembered his friends.
"Hey! Anyone out there? Nobu, Xeno, Veemon, Kari!" Davis called out, but nothing no one had called back. "Where is everyone?"
Davis was now walking through the devastated city. As he searched he had found not one soul since he had arrived. He found a newspaper, as he picked it up and was shocked to see what was on it.
"Demon Lords conqueror the world, humanity's last hope, the Digidestined all killed." Davis read in shock. 'It can't be… Nobu, Tai, Xeno… Kari.' Davis thought his friends were dead. but who were these Demon Lords and did they have something to do with the Digimon Kaiser. Suddenly he felt an ominous wind envelop him as he got into fighting position. Suddenly he was surrounded by 7 shadowy figures each with red eyes, because of the dark aura they were giving off made it difficult to see them clearly.
"Well, well if it isn't the so called chosen one." shadow 1 mocked, getting Davis's attention.
"Nothing more than a pathetic kid." Shadow 2 mocked, sounding female.
"You bastards! You won't get away with this!" Davis shouted in anger.
"Hahaha. Funny, that's exactly what Nobu and Tai had said before we killed them." Shadow 3 said.
"And you will be no different. But before we end you, our slave has something to say before you die." Shadow 4 said, causing Davis to raise an eyebrow as a dark portal opened as a figure fell from it onto the ground. As he just looked at the figure who looked to be female, who was wearing a black slave bikini. Davis saw that the girl was dirty and covered in bruises, his eyes widened in fear when he recognized the girl.
"Kari!" Davis called out as he rushed towards her and took the child of light in his arms as he shook her firm yet gently hoping to get her up. "Kari! Come on get up, speak to me."
Kari let out a weak groan as she slowly opened her eyes and saw Davis as she began to cry. "Davis… it's over we failed, i'm sorry Davis." Davis never saw Kari like this, she would always smile and help people when she could, the very person that always supports him was like this. but before he could respond he was knocked away by one of the shadows. Davis had skidded to a stop as he groaned in pain as he looked as one of the shadows was over Kari.
"No! kill me, but not her." Davis pleaded he didn't care if he died, all that mattered was his best friend's well being.
"Hahahaha, not happening, it's time for Queen Kari to die, say hi to Nobu and your brother for us." Shadow 7 laughed as it's hand hovered over Kari who shuttered in fear, but her body was too injured to even move.
"Noooo!" Davis screamed in anger and fear, as the shadow launched it's attack before everything went black.
Davis shot up and was breathing heavily and was drenched in sweat, he took in surroundings realizing that he was in Sakura's clinic.
'It was a dream? Thank god.' Davis sighed in relief. He noticed that Demiveemon was sleeping soundly at the foot of his bed. He smiled happily to see his partner was fine, he then heard low breathing not far from him. He was surprised to see that Kari was sleeping with her head down on the desk next to him with Gatomon curled up into a ball next to Kari.
'She must've stayed the whole night.' Davis thought but smiled this wasn't the first time she did this. Whenever he or Xeno would get into a fight with each other or with Sai, or any other gang she and Xion would sleep at their bedsides to make sure they were alright.
At that point, Nobu's younger sister Haruka came in. "I see that you had a nightmare."
"You can say that again…" Davis dryly replied, as he rubbed his head. "Are the others ok?"
"Yes, everyone is fine, thanks to you." Haruka said, leaving Davis confused.
"Me? What did I do?" Davis asked in confusion.
"I and Nobu will tell you when Tai and the others get here, My mom is making breakfast and will bring you some too, so just relax and stay in bed." Haruka said before she exited the clinic.
Just then Demiveemon woke up and just jumped on Davis's chest in joy oblivious to see that he was hurting Davis's ribs. "Yeah Davis you're awake I was so worried!": Demiveemon said out loud which woke Kari and Gatomon.
"Ow! Demiveemon stop, you're jumping on my ribs." Davis said in pain, Demiveemon got off but was still happy.
"Can you be any louder?" Gatomon yawned as she stretched before she jumped off the desk.
"I'm glad to see you're fine Davis. I was so worried." Kari said.
"Thanks, and I'm glad to see that everyone is alright as well." Davis smiled. "But I feel like a drained battery what happened."
"Let me tell you, it's a long story." Kari said.
Meanwhile, Nobu was in his room at his computer working on a program. "Finally the X-Antibody is almost complete." Nobu said.
"X-Antibody? What is that?" Xeno asked as he leaned against the wall, while Yaamon was hoping beside him.
"Xeno how long have you been standing there?" Nobu asked.
"Long enough to know that you are working on something behind our backs." Xeno smirked. "So what is it supposed to do?"
"Something to give our Digimon a boost as well as hopefully give them immunity to the Dark Rings power." Nobu answered.
"Well you've been pretty busy Nobi, you're still playing with forces out of your control." Yaamon mocked.
"Shut up Yaamon, I'm too busy working to listen to you." Nobu said as he continued to work
" It doesn't matter Yaamon after what happened yesterday we'll need every advantage we can get." Xeno told his partner who nodded in response. "You forgot to carry a fraction." Xeno pointed to the computer.
"Shut up and go get some breakfast." Nobu said before Xeno and Yaamon left the room, despite his appearance Xeno was much smarter than he looked he could be in college now but chose to be an underachiever.
"Those two are a ticking time bomb waiting to go off Nobu, they barely care about anything. I still don't trust Yaamon nor Xeno" Hackmon said.
"I know, but it's Yaamon I don't trust the most. If the Demon Lords have returned it's possible he'll betray us, so we'll both have to keep an eye on them both." Nobu replied while he continued working.
Meanwhile, in the Dining room, the rest of the DigiDestined had arrived including Jun who was clearly fawning over Matt who was feeling uncomfortable.
"So Matt what's your favorite color?" Jun asked.
"Umm… blue." Matt replied nervously.
"That's so nice, what's your favorite movie?" Jun asked.
"Umm Jun maybe you're making him a little uncomfortable." Labramon said to her partner.
"Labramon I'm just trying to be nice." Jun replied.
"I don't think I'll ever understand humans." Poromon said with Upamon nodding in agreement.
"Shouldn't you be worried about your brother?" Sora asked.
"Of course I'm worried, but if I know Davis he'll be alright." Jun replied. "So tell me about this Digimon Kaiser?"
"Not much to go on, he's an evil human that is trying to take over the Digital World, but we just don't know why." Izzy answered
"He has our friends under his control, Leomon and Orgemon." T.K said sadly.
"Don't worry T.K we'll save them in no time." Patamon reassured his partner.
"Hmph, humans you all are the same. You cause as much harm as we Demon Lords do." Yaamon commented.
"What?! We are nothing like you monsters." Matt countered.
"You humans all slaughter each other in droves in this world, while you idly threat when you come to the digital world. Need I remind you that you nearly killed your leader." Yaamon replied, making Matt glare at him, Tai, Sora, Izzy, and TK, could see that Yaamon's words were getting to Matt, as they remember the time when he went rogue.
"It was Cherrymon's illusion mist that manipulated me to try and kill Tai." Matt countered with rage, not wanting to remember that time which was one of his worst memories.
"Tch, hate to break it to you rock star, but that's a myth." Yaamon said, gaining everyone's attention. "It's true that his illusion mist creates illusions. But they don't work unless the person has a weak will, but it does have a secondary effect. It brings out the victim's inner darkness and feelings that they keep down deep inside, meaning you resented Tai all along, and with those restraints gone you order MetalGarurumon to kill him and Wargreymon."
Before Matt could respond Xeno spoke. "Yaamon that's enough, he and Tai have already put the past behind them, there is no need to antagonize them." Matt was surprised Xeno hated him as much as he hated Davis for him to defend him was shocking to say the lease.
At that point, Nobu came into the room and was looking tired. "Well, it's finally finished." Nobu said.
"What's finished." Tai asked.
"The X-Antibody that I've been working on at last." Nobu answered.
"What's that?" Matt asked
"Well with the X-Antibody it should theoretically give certain Digimon a boost to their power as well as grant them immunity to the Dark Rings hopefully." Nobu answered.
"Prodigious, Nobu, may I have a look at the program?" Izzy asked.
"Of course." Nobu said as he and Izzy left.
"Hmph, nerds." Xeno huffed.
"Oh, you're one to talk Mister College Mind." Haruka said, gaining everyone's attention.
"College Mind? You mean..." Matt asked.
"Yes, despite his street punk appearance, Xeno is a genius and could have skipped several grades, but he chooses to be an underachiever," Haruka said. "He's as smart as Izzy and my brother which is partially the reason why he's annoyed with Xeno's laziness."
"Wait! So all this time you have been a child genius!" Yolei shouted at Xeno who just shrugged.
"Tch, it's none of your business women." Xeno replied.
"That explains a lot." Matt muttered.
"What did you say blondie I could kill you right here and now!" Xeno threatened.
At that point, Nobu's, Sai's, and Haruka's mother Sakura jab Xeno's pressure point in his neck with her finger causing him to fall on the ground. "No fighting or threatening at this house please." Sakura warned.
"Huh? Can you teach me that? It could be a good way to shut him and Davis up sometimes." Yolei asked.
"Sorry family secret dear." Sakura smiled.
"I doubt he or Davis can go to the Digital World today since they are still banged up from the last time." Tai said.
"Like that would stop those idiots." Haruka commented. "Those two and Sai would never back down from any challenge that includes Xion too."
At that point, Nobu came back along with Izzy. "Hey guys we're bac-" at that point they both noticed Xeno was unconscious on the floor. "What happened here?" Nobu asked.
"Mom knocked him out for threatening to kill Matt." Haruka answered.
"Figures." Nobu said as he shook his head. "Alright we're going to the digital world now and initiating my program and hope it works."
"What about Davis and Xeno?" Cody questioned.
"As soon as they get back up tell them to catch up with us okay." Nobu answered.
"Hey, Nobu where's Kari?" Tai asked, he had not seen his sister in awhile.
"She's with Davis, Mom said she's stayed at his bedside all night." Nobu answered.
"Ok so let's get going." Tai said as they all made their way to Nobu's room before they all left for the Digital World.
The Digimon Kaiser was tying on the computer looking through all the archives on the Digidestined Legends trying to figure out what was the cause of the golden light that the goggle headed kid had given off. He saw it once and thought it was just a flook, but after seeing it a second time, he then knew it wasn't a coincidence and that kid could be a threat to his plans and would need to be terminated soon.
'What was that light? It has to be in here.' he thought as he found what he was looking for.
"Found it!" The Digimon Kaiser proclaimed as he looked though. "Child of Miracles? A power that is said to be more powerful than the God of Digimon, which is bound to with the Child of Light. Both are opposite to the crest of darkness, which is meant to keep the digital world in balance. So if that Goggle head is Miracles…. Then that brunette girl is Light. They are taken care of." Just then his dark digivice started beeping meaning his enemies had just returned to the Digital World. "They just don't quit, Wormmon!"
"Yes master…" a green caterpillar walked up to the Digimon Emperor.
"For once you'll make yourself useful." The Digimon Emperor said as he pointed his Dark Digivice at Wormmon as the room filled with light.
The team had arrived in a forest, Jun was surprised that she was in another world, and she was surprised that She was now wearing different clothes that were similar to Davis's but the Jacket white with a purple stripe going over the right shoulder, and a light purple T-shirt. Instead of tacky shorts, she had black Jeans and purple mid-heel boots.
"Whoa, talk about a change of clothes." Jun stated as she spun around.
"They suit you Jun." Labramon said.
"Reload Mailbirdramon." Nobu exclaimed as Mailbirdramon appeared. "Let's go find your Digimon, they should be with Greymon."
"Digi Armor Energize!" Yolei and T.K showed as Hawkmon and Patamon Digivoled into Halsamon and Pegasusmon.
"They changed…" Jun said in surprise.
"No time for sitting around Jun." Nobu said as he, Tai, Sora, and Matt boarded Mailbirdramon, while Cody and Armadillomon rode with TK on Pegasusmon, and finally, Jun and Labramon rode with Yolei on Halsamon as they all flew to find their partners.
"So Nobu how does this X-Antibody work? Does it work like a pill." Tai asked.
"Wait till we reunite with the others then you'll see how it works." Nobu answered.
Davis was currently talking to Kari who had woken up not too long ago as she filled him in on what Nobu had told her. "So I have a power inside me?"
"Yes, and me too. But he also said that we are connected by those powers." Kari said while blushing.
"Oh… that's awesome, I can't wait to get back out there." Davis said as he tried to get up but Kari forced him back down.
"You can't leave yet, Doctor's orders." Kari said sternly.
"Don't you mean Kari's orders." Davis joked, Kari just giggled at that.
"Yes, MY orders so don't think about getting up." Kari said.
"Looks like you two are playing nicely." Haruka smiled, starting them both.
"How long have you been there?" Kari asked in embarrassment.
"Long enough you lovebirds." Haruka said.
"It's not like that." Kari countered while blushing.
"Well, either way, Nobu said that you idiots that being Davis and Xeno will probably go back to the digital world soon so they're already there okay." Haruka said. "But my mother will punish both of you for endangering yourselves while still healing. Just letting you know."
"Don't worry Haruka I won't let those two leave anytime soon." Kari said.
"Sure you will, by the way, Haruka Kari said I have powers like her can you tell me about it." Davis asked.
"Sure, your power comes from the Crest of Miracles. The very first crest where all the others stem from, originally the order had planned to use it to fight out the evil in the Digital World, but it wouldn't listen to them, so they split its power into 9 crests Courage, Friendship, Love, Serenity, Reliability, Knowledge, Hope, Kindness, and Light. As it would seem the Crest of Light was bound to the Crest of Miracles, both are opposite to the crest of darkness, which is meant to keep the digital world balanced." Haruka explained. "As you know, Kari has the Crest of Light, and you have Miracles Davis, when one of you is in danger the other will feel it."
"Woah! So we and Kari can feel each other's pain?" Davis asked.
"Yes, but that's enough information, for now, I'll tell you both more when you are ready." Haruka said before she left the clinic.
"You had your fingers crossed right?" Davis asked and Kari smirked.
"Yep, come on let's go get Xeno, but no fighting either of you." Kari said, back then she would never lie to Haruka or anybody but hanging around with Davis and Xeno, Kari had developed a mischievous side to herself.
"Way ahead of you both." Xeno said as he and Yaamon entered the room.
"You alright to go?" Kari asked.
"I have to beat Motomiya before I die, let's go, I'm itching for a rematch." Xeno said, a few minutes later all three had snuck out of the Clinic and into Nobu's room, as they left for the Digital World.
For what seemed like hours the team was in a mountain range. Suddenly a fireball was shot up into the air, acting as a signal flare coming from the chasm below them. Nobu knew exactly who it was.
"That's Greymon's signal, let's land." Nobu said as Mailbirdramon flew towards the direction where the flames came from followed by Pegausmon and Halsemon as they landed they were greeted by Greymon, Agumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, and Gabumon.
"Gabumon!" Matt hopped off Mailbirdramon and ran to his partner and hugged him.
"It's been so long Matt you got much taller, and your hair has grown longer too." Gabumon smiled.
"Hmm, it's very quiet Nobu. those four fools aren't here?" Greymon said, referring to Davis, Veemon, Xeno, and Impmon. "I like it when they aren't here."
"Agreed it is very quiet with them gone." Mailbirdramon added.
"Alright here's the X-Antibody." Nobu said as his Fusion Loader materialized a blue sphere with a red x in it. "The Digimon just needs to absorb it into their bodies."
"Will it hurt?" Agumon asked.
"Hard to say." Nobu answered as he shrugged his shoulders
"So you're basically using them as guinea pigs, I won't let you do that to Patamon." T.K said he didn't want to risk his own partner's life.
"Well since I kind of saw this coming, Reload Velgemon." Nobu said as he reloaded Velgemon
Velgemon appeared and spread his wings. "Finally fresh air."
"Pretty cramped in there isn't it?" Tai asked.
"You have no Idea human." Velgemon answered, before turning to Nobu. "What do you want?"
"A little test to see if this power boost succeeds." Nobu asked. "Not only that you'll no longer be Enslaved by the Digimon emperor ever again."
"Power and not being enslaved…" Velgemon said as he thought for a minute before he came to a decision. "So what do I do?"
"You know how to absorb Data right?" Nobu asked, which Velgemon nodded. "So just absorb the X-Antibody into your being."
"Very well." Velgemon said as he absorbed the x-antibody into his being before huge amounts of data appeared around him.
"That's right Velgemon, show the world your determination to become a truly free bird soaring the winds becoming strong enough to crush anyone opposing you." Nobu encouraged
"And I thought Xeno was egotistical…" Yolei muttered.
"Velgemon X-Evolution." Velgemon screeched in fury as winds starting to pick up
Suddenly the winds stopped, and a being flew out of the cavern at supersonic speed startling everyone. "Not Velgemon anymore. Velgemon X." Velgemon X said before landing in front of everyone showing them his new appearance.
Velgemon was now completely humanoid, his legs were now more humanoid and gained armor, he also gained arms with blackish red armor and gauntlets while his wings moved back, he now gained black armor on his chest along with a helmet shaped like a crows head.
"I feel incredible." Velgemon X screamed
"So that's what the X-Antibody effect is. It's Incredible." Izzy said as he typed on his laptop.
"That's strange, X-Evolution was an unforeseen side-effect." Nobu said
"Wait, you're saying that it wasn't supposed to happen?" Sora questioned.
"No, perhaps the X-antibody can cause certain digimon to undergo X-Evolution through the X-antibody." Nobu theorized.
"At least we know it works, and now we'll have the edge over the Digimon Emperor." Tai said.
"So any volunteers." Nobu asked.
"Feeling up to it Agumon?" Tai asked.
"You bet, i'm tired of sitting on the sidelines while my friends suffer." Agumon agreed.
"Alright then." Nobu said before materializing another x-antibody which Agumon absorbed.
"Agumon X-evolution." Agumon shouted as he became more muscular, with his talons and claws sharper and gained blue stripes on his body.
"Huh, he barely looks different?" Tai raised an eyebrow.
"Maybe in appearance, but not in combat ability." Nobu added.
"How about a test, let's see what he can do?" Izzy suggested.
"Multi Moon Shooter!" A voice called out as multiple spikes were fired at them.
"Black Winds." Velgemon X shouted as he flapped his wings creating a wind to knock the spikes off balance.
"Spitfire!" Agumon X shouted as he launched a stream of fire which destroyed the spikes.
"Where did that come from?" Matt asked, Matt's question was answered when a humanoid insectoid Digimon with a humanoid green and grey exoskeleton, pincers on its feet, "Spikes" on its forearms, and claw-like fingers on its hands, two insect-like wings on its back and two long antennae on its head landed not far from the group, but he was not alone, MadLeomon, as well as Saberdramon, was also with him.
"The hell are those Digimon? Two of them look Like Leomon and Birdramon." Tai asked while Sora and Biyomon were shocked to see a dark version of Birdamon.
"That's Saberdramon, a relative of the Birdamon family." Nobu explained before turning to Madleomon. "The other one is MadLeomon, a naturally evil version of Leomon who chose evil over justice."
"But what about the third one." Cody asked.
"My name is Stingmon." the insect Digimon introduces himself.
"He has no dark ring, like the others…" T.K said.
"Yeah, MadLeomon hates humans so it's possible that's why a Dark ring was necessary." Nobu admitted. "Isn't that right Wormmon."
"Yes, I was ordered to destroy the Children of Miracles and Light." Stingmon replied.
"You won't lay a hand on my sister." Tai said.
"And I won't let you kill my brother." Jun added.
"I see you all are doing something behind my back." The Digimon Emperor had teleported onto the battlefield right beside Stingmon. He looked around and saw that Davis, Kari, and Xeno nor their Digimon were to be seen. "Where are they? Hiding like cowards."
"So he's the Digimon Emperor?" Matt asked Nobu.
"Yes… don't let his appearance fool you, he may be Davis and Kari's age but he's Dangerous." Nobu warned. "Matt, you, Sora and Izzy and your partners take cover in the cavern while the rest of us take care of this."
"I'm not sitting this out! Use that X-Antibody on Gabumon." Matt said.
"Very well." Nobu said as he materialized another x-antibody for Gabumon.
"Curious..." The Digimon Emperor said as he watched the display.
"I don't think doing that in front of him is a good Idea." Labramon said.
"Thanks for telling us now, Velgemon run interference." Nobu said
"With Pleasure!" Velgemon said as he took flight and flapped his wings creating strong winds Stingmon grabbed the Digimon Emperor to shield him from the winds as most of the army were either blown away or barely kept their ground.
"Alright now." Nobu said as he gave the X-antibody to Gabumon causing him to glow.
"Gabumon X-Evolution" Gabumon shouted as his appearance changed with his fur pelt now becoming bigger and longer and covering his left arm while no longer covering his right arm while the fur pelt on his left arm now has sharper and longer claws.
"Looking good buddy." Matt complimented.
"That's not all the x-antibody did for you two, both of you could now digivolve again." Nobu explained.
"Alright time to show the younger kids how we roll Agumon!" Tai exclaimed, as his Digivice glowed and Agumon-X began to Digivolve.
"Agumon-X Digivolve to… Greymon-X." Greymon-X shouted, he looked like the Regular Greymon but his claws were long and his horns were longer as well.
"How does it feel pal?" Tai asked.
"Feels good." Greymon-X said before he turned to Nobu's Greymon. "I bet I can give you a rough time."
"Keep Dreaming." Nobu's Greymon replied.
"Our turn Gabumon." Matt called out, as his Digivice glew as Gabumon-X began to Digivolve.
"Gabumon-X, Digivolve to… Garurumon X." Garurumon X shouted, his fur has hardened, as well as losing his stripes but gaining three blades attached to armor on the sides of his body as well as metal braces on his forelimbs.
"Awesome…" Matt said in surprise.
"It's time we joined in, Labramon can't let the boys have all the fun." Jun told her partner as her Digivice began to glow.
"Labramon Digivolve to… Siesamon."
"Whoa! You look cool." Jun said with stars in her eyes.
"Thanks." Siesamon smiled.
"If she can Digivolve, then let's do it Patamon." T.K said as his Digivice glowed.
"Patamon Digivolve to… Angemon!"
"Welcome back Angemon." TK Said
"It's good to be back." Angemon said.
"Ready Cody?" Yolei asked which Cody responded with a firm nod.
"Digi Armor energize!"
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to…. Halsamon the Wings of Love."
"Armadillomon Armor Digivolve to… Digmon the Drill of Knowledge!"
"Greymon, Mailbirdramon Digifuse!" Nobu said, as both Greymon and Mailbirdramon fused.
"MetalGreymon!"
Just as the winds stopped the Digimon Emperor ordered Stingmon to let go and was surprised to see that his enemies had Digivolved. "You all won't escape alive."
"Giga Destroyer." MetalGreymon shouted as his cannons plus his tail took aim and began charging energy at the army before firing at them.
Both Stingmon, as well as Saberdramon, managed to avoid the attack while Madleomon jumped back also avoiding the attack as well before both Greymon X and Garurumon X tackled him together.
"Tempest Wave!" Halsmon fired at Saberdramon.
"Mach Shadow." Saberdramon yelled out as he spun his body deflecting the attack before ramming into Halsemon
"Halsamon!" Yolei called out in worry.
"I'll don't Dig that at all." Digmon joked.
"Spinning Spiking Strike" Stingmon called out as he unleashed a flurry of kicks at Digmon knocking him down.
"Heavenly pounce!" Siesamon shouted as she leaped at Stingmon.
"Moon shooter." Stingmon called out as he shot the spikes from his wrists at Siesamon, knocking her down as well as reverting her back to Labramon.
"Labramon!" Jun shouted, running to her fallen partner. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine Jun, but I don't think I can fight for awhile." Labramon replied.
"One hit… Stingmon is that strong?" Cody questioned.
Meanwhile back with Madleomon and Greymon X and Garurumon X.
"Poison Claw." Madleomon roared as he attempted to slash them with his claws but they both avoided him causing him to hit some boulders causing the poison to dissolve the rocks.
"Careful of any of the Madleomon's Poison Claws!" Nobu called out to the others.
"You don't have to tell us twice." Tai said.
MadLeomon then began concentrating and was focusing energy in his fist similar to when Leomon does his Fist of the Beast King attack. "Beast Blaster!" he roared as he let loose a lion-shaped blast of energy from his fist at Greymon X
"Nova Blast!" Greymon X retaliated as both attacks collided, for a moment they pushed on each other before they exploded, leaving a smoke cloud in their wake. Greymon stared at the smoke cloud, when suddenly Madleomon burst through with his Poison Claws, as he slashes Greymon who barely dodge the attack as Madleomon's claws left a small scratch which despite its size Greymon X screamed in pain.
"Greymon X!" Tai yelled in fear.
"This is bad if this keeps up we won't last much longer." Izzy said.
"If only we could digivolve." Tentomon stated.
"Even if we could we probably wouldn't last long, if only we had our tags and crests." Sora said
Elsewhere Davis, Kari, Xeno, and their partners had just entered the Digital World. Davis and Veemon were flying with Kari on Nefertimon, while Xeno was flying with Devimon, over a forest following their Digivices to Nobu and the others.
"How much farther?" Davis asked.
"No much longer, they are just past those mountains." Xeno said.
"We better hurry, I feel multiple energies dropping." Devimon said
"Help me!" a child-like voice called from the forest.
"You heard that?" Kari said as Nefertimon stopped.
"Forget about it, we need to get to Nobu and the others." Xeno said.
"Xeno someone could need help, Nobu has Hackmon and Greymon with him so they can last until we help this person." Davis said as Nefertimon flew towards the source of cries.
"Those four should focus on getting to their teammates." Devimon said.
"Doesn't matter, let's go." Xeno said as Devimon followed after them.
At that time a Pink Rabbit was running through the forest from dark rings, as she was barely able to dodge them when she made her way out of the forest. She suddenly stopped when she saw a cliff, she knew that it was the end of the line. It was too far to jump and she couldn't turn back. She turned around and saw 5 dark rings floating above her, as they flew towards her.
"Help me!" She screamed and closed her eyes knowing that she was going to be enslaved when she heard a voice.
"Rosetta Stone!"
"Demon's Ray!"
Followed by an explosion, she dared not open her eyes. When she heard a kind voice that was clearly female.
"It's ok, you're safe now." the voice said as she opened her eyes to see three human children and three digimon standing before her.
"T-Thank you for helping me." the Rabbit said.
"Your welcome, my name is Kari and these are my friends. Davis, Xeno, Veemon, Nefertimon, and Devimon." Kari said.
"Nice to meet you all my Name is Cutemon." Cutemon smiled.
"You are cute." Kari smiled. "But why are you out here all alone?"
"You see before the Digimon Emperor appeared I lived in a village in the forest. But all my friends were captured and I barely got away. I've been running for so long, trying to survive, but I've been so lonely since I lost my friends." Cutemon said as she cried.
Kari was sad to hear what Cutemon had been through, so she brought her into a hug. "I'm so sorry to hear that. How about you come with us."
"Really?!" Cutemon questioned in surprise.
"Why not we can't just leave you out here alone." Davis added. "You can stay with our friend."
"Thank you all!" Cutemon smiled.
"She's coming along, why don't you two have her heal you." Devimon suggested to Davis and Xeno.
"Heal?" Xeno questioned.
"Cutemon has the power to heal allies from any injury." Devimon explained.
"Really? You mind helping us?" Davis said bending down to Cutemon's level.
"Sure, just standstill." Cutemon said as she hands glow with green energy as the aura surrounded Davis and Xeno.
Meanwhile back with the others, who were struggling to keep in the battle. Jun and Labramon were hiding with Sora and the others, while Greymon X was still in pain from Madleomon's Poison Claw but shrugged it off, as he fired his Nova Blast a second time and was able to destroy Madleomon before the pain of the poison was too much which forced him to return to Agumon.
"Agumon!" Tai yelled, running over to his partner. "Are you ok?"
"I'm ok, Tai. but I don't think I fight anymore." Agumon replied.
At that time Both Angemon and MetalGreymon were fighting off hordes of Saberdramon in the sky.
"As much as I like target practice, these guys are like cockroaches no matter how many times we squash them they keep coming back." MetalGreymon said, as he fired his Giga Blaster at some of Saberdramon and knocked them out of the sky.
"Hand of Fate!" Angemon shouted as he fired a beam at a Saberdramon knocking it out of the sky when several more appeared out of nowhere.
"Night Roar!" all the Saberdramon called out as they launched feathers from their wings at both Angemon and MetalGreymon causing damage to both of them.
"Angemon!" TK called out in fear.
At that point, Angemon reverted back into Patamon while MetalGreymon still remains in the air but was looking worse from the attacks.
"Nobu, I don't know how much longer we could hold on." MetalGreymon said
"I know," Nobu replied. 'Davis, Xeno, Kari were the hell are you three?'
"Black Saber" a Saberdramon called out as he struck MetalGreymon with his claws causing him to unfuse back into Greymon and Mailbirdramon again but yet they still got back up to continue fighting.
Meanwhile, in the air, both Velgemon X and Stingmon were engaging each other in a vicious dogfight with neither side giving up.
"Black Spiral." Velgemon X called out as he spun around creating a black tornado and was charging towards Stingmon.
"Spiking Strike" Stingmon yelled out as his shoulder pads rose up releasing energy before charging at Velgemon X intending to skewer him with the spike on his arm.
Both their attacks collided with each other creating winds, which cause most of the DigiDestined to hold on to the ground for dear life or they'll blow away but the Digimon Emperor wasn't so lucky causing Stingmon to break away from the battle to save him.
Stingmon was fast enough to save the Digimon Emperor as he placed him down. "Are you alright master?"
"Hmph, I'm fine, now destroy them!" The Digimon Emperor ordered and Stingmon flew back up to Velgemon X who was ready for round 2.
"You are truly a worthy opponent." Velgemon X complimented
"As are you." Stingmon said as they both engaged yet again in battle
At that time Halsemon and Digimon were dealing with a Madleomon and a Saberdramon respectively of their own.
Digmon just stared down his opponent. "Allow me to Drill some sense into you, Gold Rush!" firing multiple drills at Madleomon it screamed in pain as a cloud of smoke was left in its wake.
"Did he get him?" Cody asked.
As the smoke cleared they heard a roar. "Beast Blaster" before an attack was launched at Digmon who narrowly avoided it.
"This is bad, if this keeps up we'll lose." Izzy said.
"Tempus Wave!" Halsamon shouted as he fired its attack at Saberdramon who quickly retaliated with a Nitro Arrow which both attacks left an explosion in their wake. Haslemon didn't get a chance to relax when Saberdramon rushed towards him.
"Black Saber!" it's claws began to glow black as it slashed into Halsamon with no mercy, sending him crashing into Digimon, forcing both of them to revert back to Hawkmon and Armadillomon.
"Hawkmon/Armadillomon!" Yolei and Cody shouted as they ran to their fallen partners.
"I think my shell was knocked loose." Armadillomon said in pain.
"I feel like my feathers have been plucked." Hawkmon groaned.
Meanwhile Garurumon X was dealing with his Madleomon, both were evenly matched. With both sides were giving it their all.
"Beast Blaster!" Madleomon shouted, firing his signature attack, but Garurumon X dodge it with ease before charging at his opponent.
"Freeze Fang!" Garurumon X shouted, as his fangs gleamed white as he bit down on Madleomon's shoulder making the dark lion scream in pain as it began to freeze.
"Alright. Great job Garurumon X." Matt called out, Suddenly MadLeomon retaliated with his Poison Claw and slashed Garurumon X on the side making him howl in pain before he was kicked away, before he digivolved back into Gabumon.
"Gabumon!" Matt called out as he ran towards Gabumon, but suddenly the Madleomon got in the way as it glared at Matt, while the Madleomon and Saberdramon approached Yolei and Cody who were frozen in fear, despite their conditions Hawkmon and Armadillomon stood in the way of the evil lion ready to protect their partners.
"Fire Rockets!" As fireball hit Madleomon, making him burst into flames. While Yolei and Cody were bracing themselves for their Madleomon's attack when they heard a loud bang, followed back a loud struggling scream, when it stopped they felt a cold feeling then opened their eyes and saw that Madleomon was frozen solid and the same thing was done to Saberdramon as it fell to the ground and broke into pieces.
"And jackpot!" a familiar voice called out, everyone turned to see Davis, Xeno, Kari and their partners, plus an unknown Digimon.
"Hey Nobu! I hope we aren't late for the party." Davis smiled.
"No you all are just in time." Nobu replied.
"It's about time you got here squirt." Jun added.
"Shut up Jun!" Davis shouted.
"Less insulting, more fighting!" Xeno said as he glared at the Digimon Emperor. "I hope you've said your prayers cause this place will be your grave." Xeno said as drew out his Pistols.
"Hmph, I think it's the other way around punk." The Digimon Emperor said.
Suddenly Stingmon swooped down and tackled Xeno down.
"Damnit!" Xeno said as he glared at Stingmon, when Davis shocked everyone when he punched Stingmon in the chest, but Stingmon just stared at him before punching him in the face.
"Master, we should retreat." Stingmon advised as he saw Velgemon X flying towards him.
"Hmph, very well, I know what I needed to learn." The Digimon Emperor said as he glared at Davis and Kari.
"You running away?" Velgemom X asked
"For now, but I'll be back for a rematch." Stingmon said
As Davis got both he and the Digimon Emperor glared at each other. "Children of Miracles and Light the next time we meet you both and that pet juvenile delinquent of yours will die." The Digimon emperor said as he, Stingmon and his remaining forces teleported away.
"And I'll be waiting to take you down." Davis replied.
"You alright Davis?" Kari asked since Stingmon punched him in the face.
"I'm fine, I've been hit by much worse." Davis smirked, when Kari punched him in the gut, shocking everyone except Nobu and Xeno. "Why?" Davis asked in pain as he held his stomach.
"Don't do something that stupid again you baka!" Kari yelled making him flinch.
"I've never seen Kari act like that…" TK said, surprised that Kari would hit someone.
"It's only natural." Sora smirked.
"Only natural?" Tai asked.
"How do you think I would react if you did something that stupid." Sora said, making Tai fear what she might do to him.
"I think she's been spending too much time with Davis, Xeno, and Xion." Matt spoke, knowing that Kari has spent too much time with three people who practically fight every day..
"Did he just call me Motomiya and Kari's pet juvenile delinquent?" Xeno said in rage, ignoring the exchange between Kari and Davis.
"You act like their pet, so yeah." Nobu countered.
"What I serve no one!" Xeno said as he pointed his guns at Nobu who just raised his eye at him.
"Really? Remember the last time you try that because when you try shooting me I immediately avoided those shots and immediately knocked you out." Nobu said while yawning
"Tch, I'm no one's pet!" Xeno growled as he put his pistols away.
"Never said you were their pet, just that you act like one." Nobu countered
"Whatever… so most of you got your asses handed to you. I was hoping that Lion would have killed Matt." Xeno smirked, making the Child of Friendship glare at him.
Nobu just facepalmed himself. "Seriously and you wonder why people hate you, which reminds me I need to work on a program to help our Digimon to be able to digivolve safely to ultimate as well as to mega."
"I'm glad all of you are alright, but what happened and who was that bug Digimon with the Emperor." Davis asked.
"Well, I successfully implanted three x-antibodies in Velgemon, Agumon, and Gabumon which cause them to evolve into their new appearances." Nobu explained. "As for the bug, that's Stingmon, a champion level Digimon and the evolved form of Wormmon and is the emperor partner Digimon."
"Partner? Hmph didn't take him for a people person." Xeno commented.
"Agumon and Gabumon took the most damage in the fight. I doubt they can fight anytime soon." Matt said as he turned to Agumon and Gabumon who were still injured by the battle.
"Don't worry we bought a new friend that can help." Kari said as Cutemon stopped forward which Sora, Jun, and Yolei began to fawn about how cute she was.
"Cutemon is that really you?" Nobu said
"Nobu? It's great to see you again!" Cutemon exclaimed as she jumped into his arms.
"I missed you so much, what happened to you?" Nobu asked
"My village was overrun by the Dark Rings and all my friends were captured. So I was forced to run away, I could have become a slave if it wasn't for your friends." Cutemon pointed at Davis, Kari, Xeno, and their partners.
"Thanks so much, you guys." Nobu said to them.
"Your welcome Nobu, me and Xeno should be thanking Cutemon. We would be in pain if it wasn't for her healing us." Davis replied.
"Yeah, Long ears came through for us both." Xeno added sincerely.
"Yeah, she was useful during our journey." Nobu said before glaring at Impmon. "Right Impmon?"
"Wait is he really?" Cutemon asked, pointing at Impmon.
"Yeah, he's Beelzemon unfortunately." Nobu explained.
"So what's your history with Long Ears Impmon?" Xeno asked out of curiosity.
"Nothing, in particular, I just enslaved her and forced her to heal most of my army when they were injured, back then though before Nobi broke her out." Impmon said. "And I thought we were close, Cutie?"
"Not even close, you destroyed my Village and killed my parents." Cutemon countered in rage.
"You certainly don't have much luck with the ladies do you Impmon?" Xeno stated.
"Don't worry they always come around." Impmon smirked as he glanced at Gatomon who just glared at him.
"I look the other way if I were you before I claw those eyes out." Gatomon threatened.
"Question though how did Madleomon and Saberdramon turn to Ice?" Izzy asked as he looked at the now frozen Madleomon.
"It's my new type of bullet. I call it a freeze bullet. It's made of a freezing solution made of Liquid Nitrogen compressed into a small space, once the bullet hits it's target it instantly freezes the victim in its path." Xeno explained while most of the Digidestined except Nobu just stared at him as if he grew a second head.
"Really?" Nobu asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"What do you think I spend all my time just attacking Motomitya and Sai, I make all kinds of bullets and guns." Xeno replied.
"How can you be smart, but also be a punk at the same time?" TK asked.
"You say something? Or do I have to make an ice sculpture out of you T-Fuck." Xeno said as he pointed one pistol at TK, making a move back.
"Enough Xeno, let's head home we all deserve some rest." Nobu said. "Cutemon you stay with Greymon and heal our friends."
"Roger." Cutemon replied.
Back in the real world, everyone had gone home for the Day while Nobu was with Haruka who was happy to see that Cutemon was alright.
"It's so great to hear Cutemon is alright." Haruka smiled.
"Yeah, it's like the old days." Nobu replied. "But back to the topic at hand."
"Yes, Wormmon wasn't supposed to Digivolve yet. Not until Ken was freed from his darkness, something is wrong, I think us knowing about the future has started to change certain events." Haruka theorized.
"Well, our mother was one of the original DigiDestined and since joined the government dedicated to monitoring the digimon." Nobu added
"I know but if things are changing so much like this. I worry that Ken's behavior is much worse than what was originally thought since he nearly dropped Kari into a canyon." Haruka stated.
Agreed, that means the demon lords are coming soon which means I need to work faster on the program to digivolve our Digimon to their ultimate as well as their mega forms." Nobu said
"Nobu, I have a feeling they know who the Chosen Ones are, and Davis and Kari will have to learn how to control their powers to win, not only that we need to figure out who the Child of Darkness is as well." Haruka added.
"I know, but it's still too early and I have some Ideas who the Child of Darkness is. But for right now let's get some rest and think over it tomorrow." Nobu suggested as he left for his room where glowing in the corner was the crest of darkness.

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rainfall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile, at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he looks up and saw Kari standing across the street, both DigiDestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each other's eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, as their crests appeared in the sky above them.
