A week and missions had passed since the encounter with Leviamon and when Xia took the Crest of Darkness from Nobu's room, which Xeno returned the next day after. Making Xia apologize for taking it, however Nobu had noticed the Crest of Darkness was glowing slightly with Xeno's presence and stopped as he left. Today Nobu was still trying to understand why it reacted to Xeno.
"I say it's nothing Nobu, you're the owner of the crest." Hackmon said.
"I know, but sometime the Crests have wills of their own, and it probably was reacting to Xeno's darkness meaning it sees Xeno as a potential successor." Nobu replied.
"The day that boy holds that crest is the day he finally beats you and Davis." Hackmon mocked.
"Oh, trust me. He won't beat me anytime soon." Nobu smirked.
Later, the entire group were at FullMetal City in an attempt to destroy a Control Spire, which Nobu had confirmed were the source of the interference that prevents the Digimon form Digivolving, but because of all the machine Digimon in the city they weren't able to successfully able to destroy it and decided to do retreat.
"Grenade Destroyer." groups of Guardrmon said in a monotone voice as they fire missiles at the group
"Machine Gun Arm!" groups of Tankmon said as they fired bullets from their arms
"Twin Beam!" Groups of Mekanorimon said as they fired laser beams
"I can't believe we have to retreat. Why don't we stay and fight?" Xeno exclaimed, as he and others avoided the attack while MetalGreymon countered the attacks.
"Because you dumbass, there's too many, we'll be overwhelmed." MetalGreymon countered
"Oh, so you aren't invincible huh Dino-Breath." Xeno mocked.
"Xeno, unless I want to destroy the entire city as well as most of the Digimon inhabitants with them, I suggest shut up and keep on moving unless you have a better idea." Nobu said
"Xeno let's stop insulting people and regroup for now." Davis said.
"For once one of them is using their brain and one is supposed to be as smart as Nobu and Izzy." Yolei mocked.
"Shocker." MetalGreymon muttered.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Davis and Xeno exclaimed in anger,
"Davis, Xeno just dropped it." Kari said not in the mood for their antics.
"I can never understand you humans." Hawkmon said.
"Yeah, they are even weirder than us." Armadillomon added.
"Especially Google head and Scar face." MetalGreymon said referring to Davis and Xeno which both boys took offence to.
"Keep on moving everyone." Cody yelled as the enslaved machine digimon kept on attacking.
The group eventually made it to the TV and MetalGreymon separated into Greymon and MailBirdramon, one by one they went back into the real world, first was Cody and Armadillomon, Than T.K and Patamon, than Yolei and Hawkmon, Xeno and Impmon, Davis and Veemon, Just as Nobu followed, a group of Guardromon unleashed their attacks that not only injured Mailbirdramon's wings but also blew up the TV trapping kari in the digital world.
Just as Nobu came out of the digital world.
"Alright is everyone here?" Nobu asked
"No… Kari's not here." Davis said in fear.
"Kari!" Xeno called out in the same worry.
"Damn it, you just left her there!" Davis yelled at Nobu.
Nobu glared at Davis before punching him in the face, shocking everyone. "Be careful of what you say, we don't know what happened."
"We have to get back there now Nobi, cause if Kari dies Tai will be all over our asses." Xeno said to him, not worried about Tai, but was worried more for Kari than anything.
"Fine, I'll see what I could do about the teachers while you go on a rescue mission, I'll go contact Kari and see how she is doing alright?" Nobu said
"Nobu, I'm sorry." Davis said in shame.
"Apology accepted." Nobu smiled as he walked out of the computer room and pulled his Cell to make a couple of calls.
"Ok let's see if we can find the nearest Digiport." Xeno said while typing on the computer and found one just about 3 miles outside the city. "There we go, until Nobu comes back we need a leader."
"And let me guess you?" Yolei asked.
"No…. If I was the leader I would have had all of us killed." Xeno said he was not cut out to be a leader knowing his own personality well enough. "You're up Motomaiya."
"Me? Xeno I can lead a soccer team, maybe you and me into a street fight, but I'm sure about this." Davis said unsure if he could lead the team like Tai and Nobu could.
"Come on, Davis you will be a great leader." Demiveemon said.
"I have a feeling Tai would have made you leader even without Nobu around." Xeno said he didn't want to give Davis too much praise cause it might make him throw up.
Davis thought for a few minutes about Kari, she was in danger and with her alone and with Greymon and Mailbirdramon unable to fuse the Digimon Emperor or the Demon Lords would take the opportunity to kill her, She needed them.
"Alright let's go." Davis said.
"We're doomed aren't we?" Yolei asked T.K.
"Maybe." TK answered he thought it was a bad idea to make Davis lead and thought he would be a better choice since he's dealt with the Digital World longer but with Nobu gone for a while with someone who carried weapons with him all the time there he decided to keep it to himself.
"TK, we should give Davis a chance, he's not Tai you know." Patamon said.
"Yes, Yolei. We can't just diss someone who hasn't had a chance." Poromon said to his partner.
"Fine, but if we die, I'm blaming you." Yolei said pointing at Davis who just growled.
"What are we waiting for, let's go!" Xeno said as they all held up their digivices as they entered the Digital World to save Kari.
Meanwhile back in Fullmetal City, Kari, Gatomon and the others were all hiding from the enslaved machine digimon.
MailBirdramon at the meantime was trying to see if his wings could work but was having no luck.
"Well? Any luck?" Greymon asked.
"None, my wings are too damaged. I can't fly." MailBirdramon answered in a calm tone. "The only way for my injuries to recover is to heal while inside Nobu's Xros Loader."
"What do we do?" Gatomon asked.
"I think we should try to find a way out of the city." Kari said.
"We might have a problem with that." Mailbidramon said. "With my wings damaged, and Gatomon losing a majority of her strength due to losing her tail ring and not being able to digivolving to Ultimate as well as only being able to armor digivolve, our offensive strength has been cut in half."
"We only can hope Davis and the others will come." Kari said. "Until then, we need to find a place to hide."
"Very well we could do that." Greymon said.
"I may not be able to fly but I'm still able to walk and fight but not as effectively as I usually do." Mailbirdamon said
"Alright, just don't over assert yourself, ok?" Kari said as the group began to move to a more secluded location.
Meanwhile back in the real world after Nobu told the teachers that he was using the computer room for an important assignment, he called Tai and told him what happened and that a rescue mission was on the way.
"And that's what happened." Nobu said
"You left Kari!" Tai exclaimed in anger.
"Okay one, I already had this discussion and argument with Davis alright and he's on his way to rescue her along with Xeno as we speak, just want to let you know what's happening." Nobu said
"Alright, I'll tell the others as well. And I'll contact Jun and see if She can meet them." Tai said. "And Nobu, if my sister is hurt you better hope Hackmon can protect you from me."
Nobu shrugged. "I'm not worried after all. Those two are idiots but their hearts are in the right place." Nobu smiled referring to both Davis and Xeno.
"Nobu, who's leading them since you're not there?" Tai asked.
"My guess is probably Davis." Nobu answered
"Hmph." Tai smirked. "I know he has what it takes to be a great leader, probably better than I was, that's why I gave him my goggles cause I knew he would lead them."
"I know, you better contact the others I see you all soon." Nobu said as he hung up.
Meanwhile in the Digital World, Davis and the others had just arrived and were making their way towards FullMetal City. with Davis and Veemon flying with Xeno and Devimon, Cody and Armadillomon riding with Yolei and Halsemon, and T.K riding Pegasumon.
"Hey Davis, Nobu said you and Kari are connected right? Can you sense her or something?" Cody asked.
"I don't know, I haven't even tried to use them. I think I can only use them if my emotions are high." Davis said.
"Aren't they alway with the way you act?" Yolei asked.
"What was that?" Davis growled.
"Maybe we should focus on getting to Kari, and less on killing each other." Xeno said.
Devimon growled, catching Xeno's attention. "You ok Partner?"
"Yes, but I feel gluttony heading towards FullMetal City." Devimon answered.
"What do you mean, You can feel gluttony?" TK asked.
"We demon lords have the power to sense someone with the sin we represent, and we feed off it to make ourselves more stronger, and this is my Sin it's almost or even stronger then when I was still Beelzemon." Devimon answered.
"We have to pick up the pace, or my gut tells me that it's after Kari." Davis said as all the Digimon doubled their speed.
Kari began to pant, she and others have been kept out of the sights of the machine digimon for about an hour to find a good place to hide but everytime they found a place they would be spotted and forced to move to another location, Gatomon, Greymon, and Birdramon won't tired at all, because they were Digimon they had much higher stamina then a human.
"I think we should rest, Kari isn't like us, she needs a break." Gatomon said.
"No, i'm fine, we should keep moving." Kari said, not wanting to be a burden on them.
"She's right, you need to rest." Mailbirdamon said before a squadron of Tankmon appeared
"Can't get a break can we?" Greymon asked, getting annoyed with this game of cat and mouse.
"Blaster Tail." Greymon roared as he spun around before slamming his tail on the ground creating a shockwave that destroyed the control rings on the Tankmon while at the same time causing them to stopped moving
"That should do it." Mailbirdamon said.
"Yeah, until much more appears we need to get out of this city soon we can't fight forever." Gatomon said.
'Davis, Xeno where are you two?' Kari thought it was always them or her brother saving her, one thing she hated at times is being constantly rescued. She knows it's because it's they cared about at times she wishes she could help herself and not be a burden on everyone, she wanted to be strong so she can walk alongside them, especially Davis.
"We can't stay here, your attack will have surely caught the attention of any Tankmon in the area." Kari said.
"Right, you ride on my back if you are too tired." Greymon suggested as he lowered himself to her.
"Thank Greymon." Kari said as she got on his back before they all left to find a new place to take cover.
Meanwhile at the Digimon Emperor's lair, he was watching everything.
"Hmm, things seem to be very interesting." he said
"How's so master?" Wormmon asked.
"It seems the child of light is all alone withtwo of that Nobu character Digimon." the Digimon Emperor said before a list appeared which showed a list of enslaved Digimon for him to choose from. "Now who should I send, to kill her?" he asked himself. "I know how about these three."
"I think the Digimon Emperor knows, we are alone? And now he's aiming to kill you Kari." Greymon said.
"Why is he trying to kill me and Davis so badly?." Kari asked, she knew the answer of course he sees them a threat because of their powers.
"We need to get you out of the city." Mailbirdamon said before an attack was called out.
"Lightning Blade fire!" as a beam of energy at Greymon.
"Mega Flame!" Greymon quickly retaliated, both attacks clashed creating a cloud of smoke, as it cleared Kari was shocked to See both Leomon and Ogremon again and was even more shocked to see her old friend Andromon who was now under the Digimon Emperor's control.
"No… not Andromon too." Kari uttered sadly.
"Kari, you need to digivolve me." Gatomon said.
"Wait, maybe I can get through to them." Kari said.
"We can't risk that." Greymon said, as he lowered himself which Kari got off.
"He's right, we just have to hold them off until Nobu and others get here." Mailbirdramon said.
"Kari…" Gatomon said.
Kari gave her partner a sad node. "Digi Armor Energize!"
"Gatomon, Armor Digivolve to…. Nefertimon the Angel of Light."
"Take shelter." Mailbirdramon said, as Kari rushed to an alleyway to stay clear of the battle.
"Horn Impulse!" Greymon shouted as he charged at Andrmon.
Andrmon however just grabbed him and lifted him by the head and threw him over his shoulder.
"Greymon." MailBirdramon shouted. "Plasma Cannon!" he shouted as he fired a barrage of energy orbs
"Rosetta Stone!" Nefertimon shouted as she summoned a megalith with ancient inscriptions and fired it.
"Fist of the Beast King!" Leomon roared
"Pummel Whack!" Ogremon growled
"Lightning Blade!" Andromon shouted
All the attacks clashed creating smoke. "Gatling Attack!" Andrmon shouted as he fired missiles from his chest
"Plasma Cannon." MailBirdamon countered as he once again fired an energy barrage.
At that time the others had just entered Full Metal City. and had just caught sight of the explosions taking place.
"Well it seems like Kari is having all the fun." Xeno said.
"I wouldn't call being hunted by controlled Digimon fun." Yolei remarked.
"Depends on how you define it." Xeno replied.
"Ok, we can't all go in. TC, I want you and Yolei to do air support and keep on a look out and defeat who's near us, while Me, Xeno and Cody will go help Kari and the others." Davis said shocking TK and Yolei. "And Cody I want Digmon to Dig underground that will give us the element of surprise."
"That's a good plan... I can't believe i'm even saying that." Yolei said in disbelief.
"We can worry about it later, let's go help Kari." Cody said took out his Digivice. "Digi Armor Energize."
"Armadillomon Digivolve to… Digmon the Drill of Power."
Digmon began to drill underground before he was out of sight.
"Come on let's hurry." Davis said which the others nodded.
Kari was worried she saw that the battle was mostly evenly matched, but Mailbirdramon who was fighting Orgermon wasn't doing to well with his wing still damage, she could see that Nefertimon was starting to show some signs of fatigue with her fight with Leomon, while Greymon seemed evenly match with Andromon.
"Lightning Blade Fire!" Andromon shouted, firing his signature attack.
"Mega Flame!" Greymon quickly retaliated which both attacks exploded, Before Greymon could react, Andromon had knocked him to the ground as he was about to use his Lightning Blade to slash into Greymon.
"Fire Rockets!" Flamedramon called out as his attack sent the android Digimon Flying back.
"Demon's Hand!" Devimon exclaimed as his arm stretched out and grabbed Leomon before swinging him into a building.
Orgremon stopped as he heard Gunfire before he felt himself begin to slip and he fell to the ground which was now suddenly Frozen, Mailbirdramon took advantage of it and used his tail to send him flying into a building.
"Your welcome birdbrain." Xeno said, before blowing the barrel of his pistol.
"I was handling myself fine without you interfering." Mailbirdramon countered.
"Yeah, just keep saying that." Xeno said.
"Kari, are you ok?" Davis asked, rushing to his friend.
"Yes, but we need to free them." Kari said.
"Can't we just kill them and say we tried?" Xeno asked.
"No!" Kari yelled at Xeno.
"Umm, guys we have company." Cody said as they saw hordes of Tankmon, Guardromon and Mekanorimon
"Oh shit." Xeno cursed, before pointing his guns at them.
"What we do?" Neferitmon asked.
"Wait for it." Davis said, as the Machine Digimon kept advancing everyone before to get nervous while the their Digimon prepared to fight. "Now!."
"Star Shower!"
"Tempus Wing!"
As both Pegasusmon and Halsemon fired their signature attack at the crown of Digmon with some have their dark rings destroyed and immediately stopped moving, while others who's Dark Rings weren't destroyed kept on moving forward as they were about to attack felt the ground beneath them tremble for a bit before falling into the underground as Digmon resurfaced.
"I really Dig Davis's plan." Digmon quipped.
"Plan?" Greymon uttered, before looking towards Davis. "You thought of this?"
"I'm not stupid, I come up with something once in awhile." Davis said.
"Less, talking more fighting. The big guns are getting back up." Devimon said, pointing at Leomon, Ogermon and Andromon who had just got pack to their feet.
"Rematch." Xeno smirked, before glaring at Leomon.
"You mind if we cut in?" a familiar Voice called out, everyone looked above to see Tai, Matt and Nobu who were riding MetalGreymon X.
"but time you got here." Xeno said before shooting a Tankmon with his freeze bullet stopping the Machine Digimon in his tracks.
"Shut up Xeno, your just luck we got here in time." Matt countered, as he and Gabumon got off MetalGreymon X.
Tai was the second to leap off and rushed towards Kari and hugged her out of worry. "Are you ok?"
"Yes Tai I'm fine, but we need to free Andromon and the others." Kari said.
"Andromon?" Tai said as he looked and was sad to see another one of his friends were underneath the Digimon Emperor's control. "Hey! Andromon, Leomon, Ogremon don't any of you remember me or Matt?"
They said nothing but they suddenly began to attack.
"Looks like we have to do this the hard way." Nobu said.
"Ready you two?" Nobu asked his partners who nodded "Digifuse!" as both became MetalGreymon.
"Ready Gabumon?" Matt asked
"You got it Matt." Gabumon replied, as he began to Digivolve. "Gabumon Digivolve to… Garurumon X"
Leomon charged Devimon with a strong desire to destroy him. "Fist of the Beast King!"
"Hmph, Demon's Ray." Devimon quickly retalited which both attacks collide and caused an explosion, before the Devil Digmon could react Leomon jumped into the air and tried to impale him, but Devimon grabbed his blade and his other arm which both Digimon struggled for superiority.
"You think I'm that other Devimon? But you're wrong I'm more terrible than him." Devimon growled as used his strength and threw Leomon over his shoulder into a building. "Dark Wave!" as he held out his hand and fired a strong wave of Darkness causing the building to fall on Leomon.
"Nice one Devimon." Xeno smirked.
"Remember we're not trying to kill them!" Davis called out.
"Oh shut up, Motomiya, if he's as strong as Tai says it'll take more than a falling building to kill him." Xeno said nonchalantly.
"Lightning Blade, Fire!" Andromon Shouted as he launched his attack at MetalGreymon.
"Trident Arm!" MetalGreymon roared as his arm equipped with his clawed gauntlet, destroying Andrmon's attack, before ramming him into the ground, knocking Andromon unconscious.
"I'm sorry Andromon, I hope you can forgive us." Tai said.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon X shouted.
"Fire Rockets!" Flamedramon exclaimed their attacks heading towards Ogremon who Barely Dodged it.
"Pummel Wack!" he retaliated which both Digimon Dodged without problem.
"He's relentless." Flamedramon said flatly.
"Pummel…" Ogremon started as he was about to release his attack again when suddenly MetalGreymon appeared from the behind.
"Trident Arm!" he shouted as he slammed his gauntlet covered arm on him hard knocks him out cold
"Well that's that." Xeno said, before putting his guns back in their holsters.
"Alright now that they're unconcious quickly destroy the Dark Rings on them alright." Nobu said. "I'll go destroy that Control Spire."
"Don't take too long Nobu." Davis said.
"I won't." Nobu said as he boarded his MetalGreymon, while Flamdramon destroyed the Dark Ring on Ogermon and Devimon who had dug Leomon out of rubble of the destroyed building, destroyed the Dark Ring.
"Ok, just one more." Tai said, as his MetalGreymon destroyed the Dark Ring Andromon began to come around.
"Huh? Where am I?" Andromon questioned as he stood up.
"You ok?" Tai asked.
Andromon looked at Tai for a second, at first he didn't recognize him mostly because he looked a bit older, but he couldn't forget his hair style. "Tai? It's great to see you again."
"We're glad you are safe." Kari smiled.
"Kari, you've gotten bigger since I last saw you." Andromon smirked.
Just then Leomon and Orgemon had just woken up.
"Where the hell am I?" Ogermon questioned before he looked at the Digidestined and groaned. "Aw great it's you brats, but new brats."
"Who are you calling a brat you ugly troll?" Xeno countered in rage.
"Just ignore him." Leomon said as he got to his feet. "I must thank you for freeing us, I could see what was going on while I was under the Digimon Emperor's control."
"Me too, and no one forces Ogremon." Ogermon said.
Meanwhile everyone heard an explosion as everyone turned around and saw the control spire being destroyed, at that point all the enslaved machine digimon stopped moving.
"Well, it looks like Nobu did it, now all the Digimon are free." TK said.
"We did it." Patamon said.
"Are they all right?" Yolei asked since they all stopped moving.
"They'll be fine, now that the Digimon Emperor's influence is gone, things will go back to normal in no time." Andromon said.
At that point, on top of one of the towers in the city was a Demonic Digimon wearing clothing similar to that of a mafia member cross with that of a businessman along with a mask of a hellhound was watching the scene and was smirking before vanishing.
All of a sudden, before anyone could react, Andromon was pierced by a clawed hand from behind.
"No!" Tai yelled, as Andromon's body emitted a fractal code before his body disintegrated with all his data being absorbed by his killer
"No… no!" Kari said in anguish falling to her knees.
"That was a good meal." the unknown digimon said. as he turned around and was about to leave.
"Fist of the Beast King!" Leomon exclaimed, launching his attack at the unknown assailant.
"Maverick!" The unknown digimon muttered as one of his feet was covered in dark energy before he swiftly turned around and deflected Leomon's attack. "Was that all you got?" he asked
"Who are you?" Davis demanded in anger.
"My apologies." the unknown digimon said as he gave a bow before saying his name "My name is Astamon, and as of right now I'm Beelzemon's replacement on the seven Demon Lords." Astamon said as he introduced himself.
"What?!" Impmon exclaimed in anger.
"Don't act so surprised, after all you were chosen to help those kids save the Digital World. And the only thing that stands in our way is the power of Miracle, Light and Darkness." Astramon said, staring at Davis who was trying to comfort Kari.
"You monster! You won't get away with this." Tai said. "MetalGreymon X, let's show him what happens to those who hurt our friends."
Astamon then glared at Tai while at the same time releasing an enormous amount of power that kept everyone at bay, even Impmon was on edge because the amount of power he had was even equal or even greater than when he was still Beelzemon.
"I can barely breath with this power he's emitting." Cody said seeing the power of a Demon Lord wasn't to be taken lightly.
"I...I not scared of s...some ganger wanabi." Xeno said summoning enough of his pride to not be afraid of Astamon's power, which Intigued the New Demon Lord of Gluttony.
"Hey!" Nobu called out as he and Metalgreymon landed.
"Well, well, if it isn't Nobu." Astamon said.
"Well, I thought it was Impmon giving off that energy but, it seems like the Demon Lords have a new monster to add to their ranks." Nobu scowled.
"Monsters, oh no... we are demons." Astamon smiled grimly. "I've made my point, the next time we meet, you and the Children of Miracles and Light will die at our hands Ciao." Astamon said bowing before he vanished.
"Is everyone ok?" Nobu asked.
"No, he killed Andromon and absorbed him." Matt said in anger.
"Andromon." Kari said sadly, as Davis tried to comforted.
"I'm sorry Kari, I didn't know him very long. but I can see he was a great friend and I wished I got to know him better." Davis said he wanted to make her feel better but he had no Idea what to do.
"So what do we do Nobu?" Xeno asked not feeling good at what he experienced. Andromon's death had brought up some bad memories of what happened to his father when Myotismon had killed him.
"For now we leave and regroup alright, Astamon appearance as well as everything that happened tonight was entirely my fault." Nobu admitted
"What does it mean your fault?" Tai asked.
"From Kari being trapped because of carelessness even though I was right there, to Andromon's death, tonight was a disaster." Nobu said
"Nobu, I wouldn't say it was your fault. Sometimes things happen that's just out of our control no one is perfect and no plan isn't without its flaws too. I mean I make more mistakes than you or Tai have ever made." Davis said, placing his hand on Nobu's shoulder.
Nobu smirked. "Thanks, let's just go home, I think we've had enough for today."
"Question about this Fullmetal City, it needs a leader and Andromon was its leader." Leomon asked.
"Can't one of you be a leader?" TK asked.
"As much as I like to, but it should be a machine digimon." Ogremon answered.
"I'll have MailBirdramon be acting leader to keep an eye on things once he recovers." Nobu said.
"Good, but will you two do?" Tai asked Leomon and Ogremon.
"We'll lay low and help any Digimon who are still hiding from the emperor and we'll see whatever information we can find, and report it to you." Leomon said.
"Alright, come on let's go home." Nobu said, as he looked at Kari who was still in shock after seeing one of her friends destroyed. Which made him think he could have down better.
Later Nobu was telling Haruka about today's mission.
"How horrible, they had just freed Andromon and now he's gone." Haruka gumbled.
"I know, it feels like it's my fault." Nobu growled. "And Kari is in shock, I'm sure she'll recover, but it's still awful that it happened, and now we have a new Demon Lord of Gluttony to deal with and he's completely different from Beelzimon." Nobu said.
"I know, but you should be relieved that you made it home alright, and I heard that Davis led them today." Haruka said.
"Yes, Greymon admitted that he handled it well. And that's really something if Greymon comments on someone like that." Nobu smirked, but then his expression turned serious. "I need to perfect the X Antibody Quickly with each day the Digimon Emperor grows stronger and so does the Demon Lords, and we need to find the Crest of Miracles too."
"It could be anywhere, one of the order hid it in a place not even Gennai knows to keep it safe, only the true wielder of Miracle can find the crest." Hakuka reminded him.
"Then that means we need to start his training soon." Nobu said grimly

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rain fall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him, before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he look up and saw Kari standing across the street, both digidestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each others eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, as their crests appeared in the sky above them.
A/N: it's been a while since I did a chapter I hope you liked it, and I know it seems I'm skipping over some episodes and some of the human world stuff, I'm just focusing on episodes that have an impact and I will add some problems in the human world which shows the Digidestined's personal problems and flews and how they will get past them soon.
