At least two days have passed since the reveal of the Newest member of the Seven Demon Lords Astamon and the death of Andromon which had caused sorrow amongst the team but more with the older Digidestined since they had a very close bond with the Cyborg Digimon Nobu decided they needed time off from the digital world so they could gather their thoughts.
At the Kamiya apartment, Kari was still feeling sorrow after witnessing Andromon's death, normally she would be hopeful that their friend will be reborn as a digiegg, but after what Nobu has told them about Digimon absorbing the data of others, she knew that Andromon wasn't coming back. Suddenly a knock came from the door and Tai stepped in.
"You ok?" Tai asked.
"I'm fine, Tai." Kari said.
"Kari, I know you're sad about Andromon's death, heck me and the others are feeling the same." Tai said.
"I know, it's just that we just freed him and now he's gone." Kari stated.
"I know, but right now we have to move on. I'm sure he would want that." Tai said. "Me, Sora and Davis are heading out to get Ice Cream and we thought you would like some to get your mind off of what happened."
Kari gave him a small smile. "Sure, let me get ready." Tai walked out of the room and smirked. It was Davis's Idea to get ice cream and he knew Kari loved ice cream. It would help her feel a little better.
Elsewhere in a courtyard near the school, Xeno was practicing his gunsmanship on some empty bottles, he had been avoiding the others for the last two days. Andromon's death reminded him of how his father died at the hands of Myotismon every time he aimed, the memories came back.
Brief Flashback
A younger Xeno Jameser had blood splattered on his face, his eyes widened in fear and shock as he saw his father was impaled through his back and out his chest before the being behind his father pulled his hand out Xeno's dad hit the ground unmoving as the young boy look down at his father's corpse a whirlpool of emotions flooded his mind and the only thing could do was cream, as the monster who killed his father let out an evil cackle.
"Noooo!" Young Xeno yelled in pain and anguish.
End of Brief Flashback
"Ahhhhh!" Xeno yelled as he shot all but one of the bottles in his rage, when he realized he was out of bullets he began to come down and breathed slowly.
"You alright?" a voice called out.
Xeno turned and saw Yolei. "I don't need your pity."
"I think you need to be nicer to me." Yolei frowned with her hands on her hips. "I'm only trying to understand."
"I don't need you to understand me, I don't need Nobu, Motomiya, or Kari to either." Xeno countered, but he sighed. "My father was everything to me, and what happened two days ago had brought back some things I wish I could forget." as he walked over to a bench and sat down.
Yolei sighed, and sat down next to him. "I know what it's like to lose someone important, you know, I lost my aunt when I was 7 she and I were really close."
"What you went through was nothing compared to me, his blood flew on my face." Xeno said grimly. "I can never unsee it, the doctor I've been to told my mom that it might stay with me for the rest of my life."
"Maybe, but that doesn't mean you have to face it alone, you have Davis, Kari, Nobu and me. We'll be there to help you get through it even if you don't want us to." Yolei smiled.
Xeno smirked but scoffed. "I doubt that, but thanks for the talk. I needed to get that off my chest." he said before standing up. "You need to be walked home? Don't want you to get jumped again."
Yolei glared at him, it was a fact that they first interacted was when She was cornered by a rapist and Xeno had saved her, it was a hard fight for him and he got stabbed in the side by the man but he was able to win and she had called Sakura on Xeno's cell to come and help him, and from that day forth she could see that underneath that bad attitude was someone who was just in pain. "Very well, lead the way Xeni."
"Don't call me that." Xeno growled, as they both walked to Yolei's apartment.
Two more days later the team was back in action and were following a lead Leomon had given them about some control spires in the area which didn't really seem out of the ordinary but when he said a demon lord could be involved Nobu and the others had dropped and everything headed for the spot where Leomon had told them to go. However they encountered a problem along the way.
"Damn it, don't these creeps ever stay down!" Xeno said, as they were facing off against hordes Meramon, Airdramon, and Tyrannomon as they fought off some as many as they could, destroying the dark rings they possessed.
"I agree, unless we destroy the control spire this will never end." Devimon said before grabbing a Meramon by the face and slamming him to the ground which he used his free hand to rip the Dark Ring off him, which an Airdramon tried to attack from above, Nefertimon fired her rosetta stone and shot him out of the sky.
"Well, I may be a devil, but it seems I have a guardian angel." Devimon said.
"Don't even go that far." Nefertimon countered.
"Mega Flame." Greymon roared as he launched a stream of flames at a Tyrannomon
"Energy Ray!" Seasarmon howled as she fired a ball of light into a group of Meramon, which sent them all flying.
"Alright, keep knocking them down Seasaramon." Jun cheered.
"Fire Rockets!" Flamedramon shouted as his attacks hit multiple Airdramon in the sky and destroyed the dark rings.
"Gold Rush!" Digmon exclaimed as he placed his drills in the ground making a fissure which caused all the Tyrannomon to either sink into the ground or lose their balance and fall over, which gave Halsemon and Pegasusmon the perfect opening.
"Tempest Wave!"
"Star Shower."
Both launched their signature attacks which hit point and destroyed the dark rings on them, but suddenly more Tyrannomon and Meramon had shown up.
"Ok, this is not fair." Yolei said.
"If this keeps up, we'll be overwhelmed." TK added.
"That's it, I'm calling this." Nobu said, not in the mood for this crap. "Greymon, Mailbirdramon, Digifu-" Nobu didn't get to finish.
"Magma Blast!" a Meramon shouted as he fired a fireball at Nobu.
"Nobu! Look out!" Davis called out, which Nobu barely dodged the attack which exploded sending Nobu flying a few feet away making hing drop his fusion loader which upon hitting the ground shot out two beams of light that headed one headed towards Davis and Xeno while the other to Kari and Yolei which all four shouted as the blinding light stopped the fight between the Digimon when it died down in the fours place where two beings a boy and a girl, the boy was a mixture of Davis and Xeno, his hair was still black and spiky but it had highlights that were the color of Davis's hair and was wearing his goggles, his eyes were a flaming gold color a mixture of both Xeno's golden eyes and Davis's crimson eyes he also had the scar on his right eye. His jacket looked like Davis's but it was black and it maintained the flame pattern with the absence of the fur collar, his pant's were the ones Xeno was wearing but the color was that of Davis's shorts as well as keeping Xeno's boots.
The girl looked like Yolei, but there was some Kari in her. Her hair went just to her shoulders and was purple with some brunette highlights she had bags which were from Kari and were brunette. She didn't have Yolei's Glasses but she maintained Yolei's helmet. She also had Yolei's vest which was white and her long sleeve shirt which was now pink and her gloves were like Yolei's but they were pink and fingerless like Kari's, the girl's pants were like Yolei's but they went just to her kneecaps probably because of Kari's shorts and they were yellow too, much like the boy who was wearing Xeno's boots the girl was wearing Yolei's shoes.
"What the hell?" Nobu and the others said at the same time, not believing what they were seeing.
The girl looked over herself while she looked into a nearby puddle. She was shocked by her appearance which she did the last thing she thought she would do. "AHHHHHHH!" She screamed so loud everyone including the controlled digimon who had hands covered their ears from the girls high pitched scream which was the combination of Kari's and Yolei's voices.
"What happened to us ? Uhh I mean me?" the girl said.
The boy uncovered his ears and spoke. "Damn it woman, any louder and we all would have gone depth." his voice being a mixture of Davis and Xeno's
"Well excuse me!" the girl replied. "I didn't plan on being turned into one being today."
Nobu couldn't believe his eyes. He's never seen anything like this before but then he remembers they needed to destroy the control spire. "Enough arguing, Xen- Davi-" Nobu couldn't tell what to call them since they were one being. "Xenovias, you take Yolari and destroy the control spire." both just stared at him for calling them those names but they decided they would figure it out later just as Nobu had retrieved his fusion loader.
Both Halsemon and Nefertimon landed before the newly named Yolari which she could decide which to board. "Umm, this is confusing."
"You're telling, I can't tell which is my partner." Xenovias said, as he looked between both Flamedramon and Devimon.
"I'll stay behind, while you, Devimon, Haslemon, and Nefertimon go destroy the Control Spire." Flamedramon said.
"Alright, just be careful." Xenovias said, as he boarded Haslemon.
"Alone at last without him huh?" Devimon said as Nefertimon and Flamedramon just growled at him.
"Enough with the flirting Devimon let's go!" Xenovias said as they left to destroy the control spire.
"Good luck." was all Nobu said with his back turned to them. "We need to end this quickly, Greymon, Mailbirdramon, and Deckerdramon digifuse!"
"DeckerGreymon!" the fused Digimon called out. "Now let's take this from the top."
The two fused kids and their partners were making their way towards the control spire, but it seems that their minds were elsewhere, 'Mind' was the keyword as both seemed to have two sets of memory from each half of them. Xenovias was experiencing both Davis's memories of how he was alone long ago before he had met Tai, Sora, Nobu, Xeno and Especially Kari and how much he truly cared about her. On the other side he could see Xeno's memories of his family when his dad was alive and how much he wanted to be like him up until Myotismon killed him, leaving a long mental scar on and when a kid Xeno tried to attack Myotismon which Myotismon used his crimson lighting to give Xeno the scar that he had till this day. He could also see the feeling of both boys towards Kari and Yolei, which the fusion boy blushed as he looked at Yolari. While with the fusion girl, could see the memories of Kari and Yolei, Kari's memories of her childhood were when she had met both Davis, Xeno, Sora, Nobu and Haruka as well as the rest of the team. She also saw that she spent most of her time confined to her bed because Kari had a weak immune system, and Kari hated it when Davis and Xeno couldn't visit she had felt lonely without her friends, she even experienced Kari's adventures, from when she willingly gave herself up to Myotismon, Wizardmon's death and from her battles with the Dark Masters and Apocalymon. She also saw Yolei's childhood, her family most of all her aunt who had died of Leukemia which was the saddest day of the girl's life, and most of all when she met Xeno, which she never truly interacted with him and she would always watch him hanging out with Davis, Kari, and Nobu the only times they would was when he was slacking off and Yolei would argue with him about him taking school seriously and stop fighting people at the school, on that day on her way home she was jumped as some man was trying to rape her. As fate would have it Xeno came out of nowhere and had saved her but he was critically injured, when the guy stabbed him in the side which didn't stop Xeno from shooting the guy in the chest right through the heart, luckily Nobu's mother was able to help Xeno live, and from that day Yolei could see that underneath that bad attitude was a good person.
"You two alright?" Nefertimon asked.
"Yes, we are." both said at the same time.
"Let's just focus on destroying the control spire and worry about our problem later." Xenovias said.
Meanwhile back with the others who were just done dealing with the group of enslaved Digimon.
"Rock Cracking!" Digmon shouted as he dig a hole causing a group of Meramon to lose their balance
"Star Shower!" Pegasusmon shouted as he fired his attack freeing the Meramon.
"Rain of Fire!" DeckerGreymon roared as he fired a beam from his weapon that became a sphere of plasma before it fired beams of plasma against the groups of enslaved Aidramon, Tyrannomon and Meramon, knocking them out as well as freeing them.
"Well that was quicker than I thought." Nobu said to himself out loud.
"We should catch up, Xenovias and Yolari." TK said which was weird for him to say.
"Nobu, has that ever happened before?" Cody asked.
"Now that you mentioned it...No." Nobu answered. "But still we should probably hurry up and catch up with them, just to be safe."
"You know that bad part, how am I going to tell my parents, I'm going to be grounded for life." Jun said.
"Which Is why, they are staying here until we figure this mess out, no buts, whys, or ifs about." Nobu insisted. "Besides we have to tell the school why all of a sudden 4 students vanished while two new ones with characteristics similar to them appeared."
"Should we tell Tai and the others?" Cody asked.
"Going to have to, and we have to tell Xion too." Nobu said, not looking forward to telling Tai that had gained another sister.
It didn't take them long, Xenovias and Yolari had arrived at Control Spire and defeated the digimon guarding it.
"That wasn't hard at all, now let's destroy this thing." Xenovias said, however, like Karma more mind control digimon appeared, more Airdramon, and a single knight-like digimon, which was holding a sword in his hand as well as a shield on its back which had the symbol of the crest of hope on it.
"What is that DIgimon?" Yolari asked, her Kari memories didn't recall any Digimon like him. "It has the Crest of Hope on his shield."
"That is a Knightmon, he's an Ultimate Level digimon." Halsemon said.
"Doesn't matter they are all going down." Xenovias said cracking knuckles.
"Xenovias are you crazy? You could barely handle Leomon and Ogremon as Xeno and Davis and they were champions." Yolari said.
"Sometimes you have to take chances, woman." Xenovias smirked, as he pulled his guns. "Hey, King Arthur, want to play?" Yolari just facepalmed herself at Xenovias's antics which were Xeno's personality.
The Knightmon just raised his sword and charged at Xenovias, accepting his challenge "Berserk Sword!" Knightmon screamed as he wildly swung his blade with such precision forcing Xenovias to evade all while at the same time destroying one of his guns in the process.
"You son of a bitch that was my father's gun." Xenovias exclaimed as he loaded his remaining gun with a bullet with an orange tip on it and shot it at Knightmon.
"Grand Smash!" Knightmon yelled as he swung his sword creating a force gust of wind that blew away the bullet back to Xenovias which then exploded as it neared him.
"Damit!" Xenovias said as he covered himself.
"Exploding bullets?" Yolari questioned in shock. "When did you make those?"
"Xeno made them about a week ago." Xenovias answered.
"Let me handle him." Devimon said.
"Fine." Xenovias said reluctantly.
"Demon's Ray!" Devimon exclaimed as he fired his attack at Knightmon.
Knightmon however just swung his sword to cut through the attack and just as he was about to strike them again, to their surprise he started turning around and started to head towards the control spire to destroy it.
Meanwhile back at the Digimon Emperor's lair, "No, no, no, what is he doing?" The Digimon Emperor ranted, as he saw Knightmon about to destroy the Control Spire.
"What the hell is he doing?" Halsemon asked.
"It seems that the Digimon Emperor's control isn't absolute after all." Xenovias said. "The Dark Rings probably doesn't completely work on any Digimon above Rookie or Champion for too long."
Knightmon had reached the Control Spire. "Electric Slash!" he yelled as his blade became covered in electricity before he began striking at the Control Spire, bit by bit, until it was destroyed, finally freeing him as well as all the other digimon.
"Haza, thou are all free." Knightmon declared.
"That's an attitude adjustment." Yolari said.
Knightmon began to walk over and bowed his head. "I'm so very sorry if I had hurt you, fellow Knight and Fare maiden."
"It's alright, i'm just glad that you are free." Yolari said, showing some of Kari's caring personality.
"I'm fine, Sir Metalhead." Xenovias said as Yolari elbowed him in the gut for being rude.
Not long after the others had arrived and saw Knightmon with the two fused Digidestined.
"Are you two ok?" Nobu said as he hopped off DeckerGreymon.
"We are, but my gun isn't." Xenovias said as he looked at his Father's white pistol.
"I can't believe that I'm doing this." Nobu said to himself out loud as he walked over the remains of the broken pistol and grabbed them. "I'll fix it up, and make it good as new for you."
"Jezz thanks Nobu." Xenovias smiled. "And while you're doing that, can you unfuse us, I don't think my moms or dad would like to see that they had gained a new son?"
"I agree, I don't want Tai to freak out." Yolari said.
"Yeah about that, I was thinking, while this was definitely through the power of my Fusion Loader, some outside interference caused this." Nobu explained
"You mean we're stuck like this!" Yolari yelled at him. "Xenovias give me your gun so I can shoot him in the head." that had shocked everyone, that was definitely Yolei's anger.
"Ah, okay, So I'll take it, you won't like my idea then until we solve this mess?" Nobu asked as he rubbed the back of his head
"Oh, Nobi. you better do something or I'll be the one to end you and not her." Xenovias said as his body gave off a small golden glow.
Nobu back away smiling nervously. "Well the plan was for both of you to stay here since four students suddenly vanishing and two new kids with both of your characteristics will be a hassle to explain to the school board as well as your parents." Nobu said
"Nobu, school is one thing but our families are another. They'll be asking for where we are, especially Kari's" Yolari said in panic.
"Which is why, we only tell the original digidestined this information, maybe say we do a sleepover?" Nobu suggested
"But how long must we stay here? You also have to tell them about how long we'll be away at your 'sleepover'." Xenovias added.
"Fine camping trip, whatever." Nobu said starting to lose it
"That's fair enough, but what am I going to tell Tai it's gonna be awkward just talking to him." Yolari said.
"And for me it's talking to Jun, I mean I kinda have three sisters now and one of them is annoying." Xenovias said.
"Say that to my face squirt." Jun growled.
"That's your problem, not mine, besides it seems like you're handling it well." Nobu said
"What do you mean you don't know how to unfuse them?!" Tai exclaimed.
"Tai please calm down yelling won't help Kari." Sora said Tai was visiting her house today for a movie night with both Sora's parents out of town for a few days, so they decided to spend the week with each other.
"I'm telling you, I don't know how, all I do know is that someone interfered with the fusion process and caused this." Nobu explains "And that someone could probably fix this."
Tai just grumbled. "Ok, just contact us and we'll come as soon as we can, I'll tell my mom you decided to take Kari camping with the others and I'll tell Xion about it too."
"Yeah and I'll look into what caused this mess in the first place." Nobu said as he nodded before looking at the wrecked remains of Xeno's white pistol. "Still can't believe that I said I'll fix this.
Tai sighted. "My mom is going to be hard to explain it to."
"It's ok, Tai things will be alright, Nobu will figure out and Kari will be back home before you know it." Sora said.
"Yeah you're right." Tai smirked.
"By the way, I have new underwear I've been meaning to show you." Sora said with a lustful smile, which Tai smiled back as the red-head tugged him towards her room and locked the door behind them.
Meanwhile back in the digital world Xenovias was sitting on a long with a stick in his hand as he drew in the dirt while Yolari was talking with Cody TK and Jun while their digimon were just relaxing and were tired after the fight they had today.
"So… what's it like being fused?" Jun asked.
"It's weird…" Yolari answered.
"That's an understatement." Xenovias remarked. "For me it's like having two sets of memories, and I know what both Xeno and Davis feel and what they've been through." as he continued to write in the dirt which Cody looked at and it seems Xenovias was making complex equations about Digifusion.
"Are you doing equations?" Cody asked.
"Yeah what of it?" Xenovias said rudely.
"It's nothing, we've just never seen either Xeno or Davis do that." TK said.
"It must be the Xeno part; he's as smart as Izzy and Nobu after all. But Davis is more open about his passions." Yolari said.
At that point Nobu came back. "Hey guys, I'm back." Nobu shouted before tossing Xenovias his white pistol. "I upgrade your father's old pistol so that it has a blade now along with its basic gun functions." Nobu explained.
"Thanks, I should have you upgrade the black one too later." Xenovias said, as he placed the new pistol back in it's holster.
"Xenovias isn't the only one experiencing two memories, I've seen through Kari and Yolei's eyes and I have seen some more interesting thoughts too." Yolari said blushing.
"Well just keep it to yourselves, we need to find the person who's interfering with my fusion loader." Nobu said.
"But who could it be? The Digimon Emperor?" Patamon asked.
"Could be, could also be the Demon Lords too." Nobu added.
"I'm thinking we should look more into the Control Spires, if his Dark Digivice is draining the digimon and preventing the digimon from digivolving. It's kinda like a radio tower which bounces the signals to all over the Digital World and we could theoretically track the signal back to his base." Xenovias suggested, everyone just looked at him; they knew Xeno would never be open about his theories.
"Why can't you talk like that when you are Xeno? You sound smart." Yolari said.
"I don't need to answer that Yolari, it's just that I don't like to talk like that out loud all the time." Xenovias said as he turned away with a slight blush on his face.
"Hmph… it's almost cute how they act towards each other." Jun whispered to Larbamon who just nodded.
"I think what we need to do and figure out the range of who is sending the signal, maybe we can narrow down some possible locations." TK suggested.
"Already ahead of you." Nobu said as he looked for some possible locations. "Alright I found a few possible locations that could be sending us the signal."
Everyone looked at the information.
"He's right, there are a few." TK said
"Well everyone where should we go?" Nobu asked
"I think we should split the difference, it'll take forever for all of us to search in a group." Xenovias said.
"That's too risky." TK said. "We should stick together, you have to be patient."
"Try being fused from two people and forced to stay in the Digital World with the thought of your parents flipping out and then tell me about patience T-Fink!" Xenovias yelled, which TK just backed away.
"I think we should split up, we can cover more ground that way and once we find the location we'll contact the others." Gatomon said.
"What do you think Nobu?" Cody asked.
"Usually I would be against this Idea, but the sooner we get these two unfused the better." Nobu said. "We are all to remain in contact if you see any mind control digimon don't fight, until we get to you, show me your digivice and i'll download the map to them." everyone gave him their digivices, he and everyone else was surprised to see that both Xenovias and Yolari's digivices seemed to have fused as well, Xenovias's digivice looked like everyone else's but one side had blue and the other dark purple and Yolari's was pink and red.
"It seems like they weren't the only things that fused." TK said.
"And it's well discussed later, let's find this signal and unfuse them." Nobu said, as he finished transferring the cordinaints before they all left for the locations.
it took 10 minutes for TK and Cody arrived at their location but didn't notice anything.
"Don't see anything out of the ordinary." TK said.
"We should look around though I'll write Nobu and the others." Cody said as he typed on the D-Terminal telling the others that hadn't found the source but they'll keep looking, unknown to them they were being watched.
At that time Nobu and Jun had arrived at their location, when Nobu's D-Terminal started to go off.
"It seems that Cody and TK have come up empty too. And they'll keep searching." Nobu said.
"So who do you think is the one interfering with your Fusion Loader?" Jun asked.
"I have a couple ideas." Nobu replied. "I just hope that I'm wrong."
"We should keep searching, and catch up with Xenovias and Yolari." MetalGreymon said.
"He's right, we shouldn't take too long. Who knows what this person might do since we are divided." Seasaramon said.
'I just hope it's not him' Nobu thought, as they continued to search, unaware they were being watched.
Meanwhile Xenovias and Yolari had arrived at their destination and had found 5 Control Spires in a circle, the weird thing to tell they all had a weird symbol on them which Impmon immediately recognized.
"Oh no!" Impmon said.
"Watch wrong Impmon?" Yolari asked as she got off Nefertimon and Xenovias and Veemon got off Halsemon.
"Nobu and I should have known he was behind this." Impmon muttered, suddenly they were surrounded by Vilemon, as well as a whole brigade of of zombie-like digimon in a rubber suit wearing a gas mask on it faces called Troopmon as well as two sludge-like digimon called Raremon
"Like I didn't see that coming." Xenovias said in a bored tone.
"No dark rings, a Demon Lord is responsible for this." Yolari said.
"Quite right my dear." an old man said as he appeared from behind the control spire and placed his hand on it. "Isn't it strange? A human able to hinder a digimon's ability to digivolve, and seeks to rule over it. He is one of your own and yet he turned on the people he's supposed to work with."
"Be careful, that's Barbamon The Demon Lord of Greed." Impmon called out. "Out of all the Demon Lords He's one of the three strongest."
"Hmph and the traitor speaks, you are a disgrace to us and your title for teaming up with our worst enemy and fighting at the side of a former royal knight." Barbamon sneered
"Who the hell are you to judge anyone? Impmon has changed to an extent and has done more good then bad." Yolari said.
Barbamon then chuckled before he blew out and laughed. "Hahahahahaha, done more good than bad, that's a laugh."
"What's so funny mother fucker?" Xenovias demanded, not liking how this Demon Lord was laughing at his partner.
"Myotismon worked for us Demon Lords back then, and Impmon never told you, in fact Myotismon was ruling Beelzemon's territory and Beelzemon could've stopped him but didn't care as it wasn't his business." Barbamon revealed
Xenovias, Yolari, Nefeitmon, were shocked by this information.
"You sent him to kill me?" Yolari asked the Kari side of her was unnerved by the information.
Xenovias didn't say anything as he was trying to Process what he had heard if Myotismon worked for the Demon Lords and Impmon allowed him to enter the human world to kill Kari he was the reason his father had died.
"Now, I believe that you must perish." Barbamon said as he raised his wand and aimed it at both children. "Dark Inferno!" he muttered as he fired a powerful blast of dark flames at them
"Night of Fire!" Impmon shouted as retaliated, but his flames were overwhelmed, before they all got out of the way. "Xenovias!"
Xenovias didn't respond to his partner. "Veemon let's rock." Veemon just nodded knowing the situation was bad.
"Evil Inferno!" a voice shouted as a vicious inferno headed towards them.
"Giga Destroyer!" a voice shouted as lasers intercepted the blast, before MetalGreymon and Nobu appeared.
"About time got here." Xenovias said. "Where are the others?"
"I told them to stay back, it will get dangerous here." Nobu replied.
"Indeed." a voice said as a digimon wearing a cassock-alb that looks like a member of the KKK Clan along with devil wings.
"Another one?" Yolari said in fear.
"What are you doing here? I could take care of this myself." Barbamon said.
"To Answer Barbamon's question. I'm here so that we could stop wasting time and get things done with and to answer those who don't know who I am, my name is Daemon the Demon Lord of Wrath and the second strongest." Daemon introduced himself
"I don't care who you bastards are, you all are going down." Xenovias said with Bravado.
"Foolish human, you couldn't even defeat Leviamon and he was going easy on you back then but don't worry I won't." Daemon sneered. As he gathered dark energy and intense heat in one of his hands before propelling it outward. "Evil Inferno!" he shouted as he launched a stream of flames at them that reduced Nefertimon, Flamedramon, and Halsemon to their in-Training forms in one shot as well as badly damaging MetalGreymon.
"He's too strong, we have to leave." Yolari said.
"You go, I'll stay." Xenovias said.
"Okay there's a difference between brave and stupid, an this is stupid , so let's retreat and get out of here." Nobu said as he punched Xenovias in the stomach, knocking him out before dragging him along and escaping.
Not long they landed before the rest of the team which shocked them to see MetalGreymon was damaged, Xenovias was out cold and three of the 5 digimon were back in their intraining form.
"You guys alright?" TK said as he rushed to them
"No, we're not, as you can see." Nobu said in a sarcastic tone that he rarely uses unless he's annoyed
"What happened?" Jun said in concern.
"Two Demon Lords attacked us and Daemon took us out without even trying." Yolari said, before turning to Xenovias who was still unconscious and glared at him. "And this Baka is so stupid and he nearly got killed."
"Nobu, you know more than anyone. But did Myotismon really work for the demon lords and did Beezelmon send him to kill Kari?" Yolari asked Nobu.
"No, All I know is that the Demon Lord's Influence was deep and that other digimon work for them." Nobu answered.
"Even so, I think that's why he acted like that. Thinking that Impmon is the reason Xeno's father is dead, Xenovias is acting on how Xeno would feel." Yolari said.
"Maybe, but that doen't give him the right to be stupid." Nobu scowled.
"Why don't we ask from someone's point of view?" TK said as he glared at Impmon who had his back turned to them.
"I don't need to answer any of you, sometimes I wonder why I was even revived and placed on this team." Impmon said. "I've done horrible things in the past, conquered, tortured and was thrilled to do so, however since I've been with you all things have been different."
"What do you mean different?" Larbamon asked.
"I've been spending time with you all, eating human food and watching TV with Xeno's family. Heck even his mother is treating me like I've lived in that house for years, I can feel a change happening in me." Impmon said. "It's like i'm feel love. It's a strange emotion that we demon lords cast aside."
"There's nothing wrong with feeling love, Impmon, it's what makes life great." Yolari smiled, before looking at Xenovias. "That baka maybe made of two bakas, but I still love them, and Nobu loves them too"
"Yeah at times, I hate Xeno more than anything. But that doesn't mean I won't be there for him." Nobu said.
"Yeah, me and my brother may fight, but I still love him deeply. And please don't tell him that when he wakes up." Jun said.
Xenovias groaned as he sat up. "Are we dead?"
"No we are not." Nobu answered dryly.
Xenovias sighed. "I'm sorry, the Xeno half of me was what took over me, and I couldn't think straight."
"Just be glad that you are ok." Yolari said.
"We need to go back." Xenovias said shocking everyone.
"Are you kidding? We barely survived." Nobu exclaimed.
"Nobu the 5 control spires are the reason you can't unfuse us, we need to destroy them." Xenovias said.
"We can't, you need to drop that pride of yours cause it's only going to kill you and everyone else you almost got you and Yolari kill!" TK exclaimed, which Xenovias pushed him against the wall with a death glare in his eyes.
"I'm willing to get myself killed, but I would never get Yolari killed TFuck!" Xenovias growled.
"Ok, that enough!" Nobu said before breaking the two up.
"Nobu we have to do this, we can't stay like this forever." Xenovias said.
"I know, but those two are not going to just let us destroy those control spires." Nobu said.
"I have an Idea, only you have to trust me." Xenovias said.
Nobu just sighed he was going to regret this. "Alright, what is your plan."
At that time both Barbamon and Daemon were still guarding the control spires.
"They've probably gone back to the human world, it makes me furious I don't kill them?" Daemon said with anger.
"They'll come back." Barbamon said he knew they couldn't leave until they unfused the Child of Miracles and Light from their teammates.
"Well, I'll be leaving now to finish my own work, you should do the same." Daemon said as he vanished
"Hmph, I am, studying those kids strengths and weaknesses." Barbamon smirked before he vanished as well but not before he left behind a minion of his.
"And that's the plan." Xenovias finished.
"You know that's suicidal?" Greymon stated.
"Maybe, but It's our best chance." Xenovias said, before turning to Yolari. "You can say no if you don't want to."
"I'm not all for this, but you are right we need to defuse and go home." Yolari said.
"Alright, Nobu you and others get ready." Xenovias said.
Back at the area where the 5 control towers were, Nobu and everyone notice that both demon lords are gone but guarding the place was a centauric demonic digimon called Gulfmon.
"Well, there's good news and bad news." Nobu said. "The good news is that both Demon Lords are gone, the bad news is that a Mega Level is guarding the place."
"That's going to make this difficult, but we don't have to beat him, we just have to destroy those control towers." Xenovias said.
"Just make sure you all cover your ears, if you hear his voice, they say you'll die." Nobu warned.
"Thanks for the grim warning Nobu, come on Yolari." Xenovias said as both fused Digidestied moved into position.
"Ready MetalGreymon?" Nobu asked.
"Hpmh, Nobu there's a high chance of this failing." MetalGreymon said,
"I know, but when haven't we taken chances like this before?" Nobu replied as he took out his Fusion Loader. "Metal Greymon digivolve to ZekeGreymon."
ZekeGreymon then ram straight into Gulfmon at high speed. "Hurry and destroy those 5 control towers, while I have this guy under control." ZekeGreymon said as he struggled against Gulfmon's strength.
"Ok let's go!" Xenovias exclaimed as he, Yolari and the others made their way to the control towers however they were cut off by Vilemon, Raremon and Troopmon blocking their way.
"No these guys again…" Yolari said.
"We don't have much time or choice." Xenovias said as he and the others pulled out their digivices.
"Digi Armor energize!"
"Veemon armor Digivolve to… Flamedramon the Fire of Courage."
"Patamon Digivolve to… Pegasusmon Flying Hope."
"Armadillomon Armor Digivolve to… Digimon the Drill of Power."
"Impmon Digivolve to… Devimon."
"Labramon Digivolve to… Seasaramon."
"Gatomon Armor Digivolve to… Swanmon."
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to… Harpymon.
Everyone but Nobu were shocked by the new Armor Digimon.
one had wings for arms as well as a humanoid upper body as well as taloned feet, that was known as Harpymon
The other was a swan-like digimon known as Swanmon
"I feel a different power, this is love." Swanmon said.
"And I feel the power of light." Harpymon
"That's great." ZekeGreymon said as he was busy struggling against Gulfmon who still hasn't used his voice that causes death yet. "But can you please hurry up and destroy all those control towers so that we may leave, this guy is tougher than I thought."
"Alright guys we need to get past these bastards quickly." Xenovias said.
"We'll clear the way!" Flamedramon exclaimed. "Fire Rockets!" as his flames traveled across the ground taking out a few of the enemy.
"Demon's Ray!" Devimon said as his attack had blasted away some Raremon.
"At this rate we'll be here all day." Jun said. "Squirt, you and Yolari go destroy the control towers and we'll take care of this."
"Don't call me that!" Xenovias exclaimed.
"Shut up and go already." Zekegreymon demanded before he was sucked-punched and knocked across the area and almost crushed them. "Bastard." he muttered as he got up before aiming his rifle at Gulfmon. "Plasma Railgun!" he shouted as he fired a barrage of plasma shots at Gulfmon who flew to avoid them.
"Well? Get to it." Zekegreymon said
"Right." Xenovias said as he and Yolari boarded Swanmon and flew towards the control towers with Devimon who was carrying Flamedramon with Harpymon flying with them.
They had made it to the towers but they were greeted by more Raremon and Vilemon.
"Down Tornado!" Swanmon shouted as she flapped her wings making a tornado made of her feathers which engulfed most of the enemy digimon.
"Wind Seeker!" Harpymon shouted as he flapped his wings releasing a gust of wind that resembles a blade of air that hit more of the enemy digimon.
"Laser Wing!" Devimon roared as he fully extended his wings and began firing energy from them at the Vilemon, keeping them at bay as well as destroying one of the 5 control towers leaving only 4 remaining.
"Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon shouted as hu jumped in the air before he was engulfed in a flame-like aura and shot towards a Vilemon like a rocket ramming it against another control tower destroying it, leaving only 3 Control Towers remaining.
"This is like fun, I love demolition." Xenovias smirked, smirked before shooting what he called a burst bullet and destroyed another tower, 2 still remained.
"Let's finish this guys, I don't think the others can hold off much longer." Yolari said.
"As you wish my lady." Xenovias bowed, which made her blush. "Ok, Flamedramon, Devimon time for the grand finally."
Just as both Digimon were about to finish the job, they and others were knocked away by a strong gust of darkness, as they recovered they were greeted by the source of the darkness.
"The hell is that ugly thing?" Xenovias said.
Appearing was a white-haired winged muscular masked devil wearing a golden mask, he has long clawed arms and black jeans and boots with spikes on the tips on the boots.
"That is NeoDevimon." Devimon said. "One of my evolved forms." he said while glaring at Xenovias for that comment.
"Sorry I didn't mean to offend you, you're definitely more handsome than he is." Xenovias said nervously.
"When you are unfuse, I'm going to haunt your dreams Davis." Devimon threatened Before flying to engage his evolved form in battle.
"He seems to have forgotten that Xeno is a part of you too." Yolari said.
"Never mind that, let's finish those two towers off." Flamedramon said.
"Fire Rockets!"
"Down Tornado!"
"Sky Seeker!"
All three attacks have combined and destroyed the last 2 towers just as Devimon was knocked to the ground by Neo Devimon, who had his foot on Devimon's chest.
"Graa.." Devimon uttered in pain, as he struggled to get him off his chest.
"You are a disgrace." Neodevimon said as he raised his claws to end his foe however he was knocked back a couple of feet by beams of gold and pink light.
Devimon turned to see both Xenovias and Yolari who had their hands out and looked to be drained after using their powers.
"Let's get out here, partner." Xenovias said as they hopped on Swanmon as Harpymon grabbed Flamedramon's arms and flew away with Devimon following.
NeoDevimon just watched them leave before vanishing.
Meanwhile in the battle between ZekeGreymon and Gulfmon, their battle was still evenly matched.
"Hyper Launcher!" ZekeGreymon roared as he aimed his rifle at Gulfmon and fired an energy shell at Gulfmon who endured it.
Gulfmon was just about to use one of his attacks when he stopped and suddenly relaxed his guard and vanished as well.
"Why did he leave?" ZekeGreymon questioned.
"It must be me, they did it." Nobu sighed with relief, just as Jun and her team arrived. "You all alright?"
"Yes, in the middle of the battle the digimon just vanished." Cody said.
"Does this mean we win?" Armidillomon asked.
"Yes." Nobu smirked, just as Xenovias, Yolari and their partners returned.
"Mission accomplished." Xenovias smirked.
"Good, and I can tell you use your powers." Nobu said.
"Yes, but it seems to have drained us." Yolari said. "I wish I could use it to keep Xeno and Davis in line."
"Oh yeah of course you would." Xenovias muttered.
"What was that?!" Yolari exclaimed in anger.
"Enough! Now that the towers are gone, I can defuse you two." Nobu said, as he led up his Fusion Loader. "Defuse!" both kids began to glow as they separated into their original selves.
"Finally! I will never fuse with you again!" Xeno said, glaring at Davis.
"Come on Xeno it wasn't that bad, being Xenovias was a good experience." Davis said. "I've seen from your point of view, I know how deep your trauma goes."
"Yeah whatever." Xeno said before turning to Nobu. "You and I are going to have a talk later."
Nobu glared at Xeno. "What do you mean by that?"
"You, me at your house and you and Haruka better answer truthfully." Xeno warned.
"Be wary of your tone of voice cause your attitude nearly got all of us killed today and I had enough problems already." Nobu warned.
"Very well." Xeno said calmly.
"That was an interesting experience, right Yolei?" Kari whispered.
"Yeah, and we know each other's thoughts." Yolei whispered back they both could recall seeing each other's more exotic thoughts for both Davis and Xeno, they decided to not talk about it further.
After everyone left the Digital World, Xeno went with Nobu to his house and was in his room.
"Okay, what the hell do you want to know?" Nobu asked.
"How do you know so much about the future? It seems strange how you and Haruka know so much in which Tai and the others don't." Xeno asked as he glared at Nobu, he didn't like when people secrets and he knew that sometimes they only led to mistrust from the team. "And not just that, you said that the Crest of Darkness was lost but you have it, what else are hiding from us?"
"I can't tell you all, but I can tell you that I'm the chosen for the Crest of Darkness." Nobu answered.
"Hahahaha!" Xeno just laughed which annoyed Nobu.
"What's so funny?" Nobu asked.
"It's just you? You're too kind, how-"Xeno started as he laughed
"I have very repressed darkness in me that you all see sometimes." Nobu answered annoyed
"It seems like you have better control of it then me." Xeno said. "Is it true that Impmon sent Myoistmon to kill Kari which got my father killed?"
"As I said before, the Demon Lords have many high ranking servants that I defeated and some that I never met personally but most likely." Nobu answered.
Xeno sighed. "I don't know what to think anymore, I'm mad that I lost my father and almost lost my best friends but my partner is probably the one who allowed it to happen. What do I do?"
"Xeno, I can only tell you this. I know deep down you're still hurting but that doesn't mean you are alone, you're changing even if it's only a little, and I can tell impmon is changing too." Nobu said.
"Thanks. I'm going home, seeing you in school." Xeno said as he left.
Nobu sighed and looked at the Crest of Darkness. 'If he's going to succeed me, I need to help him move on.'

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rain fall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him, before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he look up and saw Kari standing across the street, both digidestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each others eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, as their crests appeared in the sky above them.
