A/N: Just a short little thing. Haven't written EEnE in ages but I caught an episode tonight that made me want to write 'em. No real purpose.

Eddy sits on his bed, head in his hands, sounds from the polite party below echoing up and chafing his eardrums like his cheap black tux is chafing his shoulders.

There is a knock on the door, followed by two pairs of footsteps coming over to him. Familiar depressions on either side of him and then an arm from both friends reach out, one around his shoulders and one around his waist.

"Don't worry, Eddy," Double D says with that understanding, contemplating smile he always has on, "Just because your brother is married doesn't mean he's any less your brother."

"Double D's right, Eddy," Ed adds, "Besides!" He leans against Eddy, lending familiar, comfortable weight, "We can be your brothers!"

Eddy raises his head and looks at a slightly flushed Double D and says, "You guys are more than brothers."

The polite party below them suddenly degenerates into gales of laughter, and Momma's voice shrilly tells Eddy's brother to "not put that there, for heaven's sake!"

The three friends decide to sneak out and sell tickets to the last time Eddy's brother will be in the cul-de-sac for a very long time.
