A few days later, the younger digidestined were relaxing in class talking about Ken and what their next move was going to be if the demon lords strike again.
"You know things have been pretty quiet lately, mostly from the demon lord's side." Davis stated. "We haven't heard of any activity or anything."
"Let's be happy they haven't gotten involved, dealing with Ken is already annoying as it is." Xeno said, who was still angry about being swept aside by Daigo a few days ago.
"Still grumpy after Daigo kicked your butt huh?" Yolei teased.
"Oh shut up! I don't need your input." Xeno snapped at her.
Kari then changed the subject. "You all heard of the new students?"
"Yeah, don't know their names." Cody said.
"I can't wait to meet them." TK smirked.
Just then the teacher entered the room and spoke. "Students please be seated." After everyone was in their seats she continued. "First off I would like to introduce you all to some new students today." As the door opened, Davis, Kari, TK, and Xeno were surprised to see Daigo, Luna and Kiri enter the room.
"The hell?" Davis whispered in shock and he could tell that Kari, TK and Xeno were also shocked to see all three they encountered just 3 days ago.
"Is that Kiri?" Yolei questioned, she had seen him on TV and in magazines but she never thought he would be attending their school.
"Daigo." Xeno growled, wondering what he was doing here, a serial killer in a school only meant death for everyone here.
"It's nice to meet you all. My name is Kiri." Kiri introduced himself.
"My name is Luna." Luna said.
"Names Daigo, no one bugs me." Daigo said with killing intent, that made most of the students even the teacher sweat.
"Behave yourself Daigo." Kiri ordered. "I'm sorry about him, he has a very bad temper."
The teacher composed herself. "Why yes, well you three take your seats." the three took their seats, Luna sat behind TK, Kiri two seats from Kari, and Daigo in front of Davis and Xeno.
'We need to talk to Nobu about this.' Davis said, even he knew that Daigo and the others attending their school just a few days after they met them couldn't be coincidence
(Gym)
The gang was sitting on the bleachers dressed in their Gym clothes while Nobu was dressed in his kendo uniform.
"I swear Nobi something is wrong with this picture." Xeno stated.
Nobu responded by striking Xeno with his Shinai. "First of all, don't call me that, Xeni, second of all your right it is strange that we see them in our school after we met them." Nobu said
"I'm more worried about Daigo than Luna or Kiri, after what Luna told us and what he did to Xeno, it's strange that the school is allowing him to enter." Davis added.
"Don't remind me." Xeno grumbled.
"What do you think this means?" TK asked.
"Actually, his records were forged somehow." Nobu commented, "The school doesn't know that he's a killer."
"Son of a bitch!" Xeno growled. "No way he has sources to forge anything, unless that's what rich kid's for."
"You mean Kiri? That doesn't make sense, he's the youngest business man. Why would he forge Daigo's records?" Yolei said.
"Which also begs the question why is he attending our school if he's a businessman?" Cody added.
"And I'm not really sure about Luna though she seems like a nice person but it's surprising to see her." Kari stated.
"Everyone we're can't just make accusations without evidence." Nobu said.
"Nobu's right, we'll be accused of false claims." Kari said.
"Well we'll just have to keep an eye on them." Davis said, folding his arms. "Still, just a few days after we met them, something is wrong here." just then their D Terminals went off.
"So much for down time." Xeno stated.
Nobu checked his D-Terminal. "Great Ken's on the move." They all left the room, while Daigo, Luna and Kiri watched.
(Digital World)
Everyone had entered the digital world along with Matt being the only older Digidestined available at the moment.
"So what is it this time?" Jun asked Nobu.
"I hope this doesn't take too long today. I was really enjoying my nap." Labramon said with a yawn.
"Ken's been spotted in the area, I don't know what he's up to but some of our allies say he's been gathering data on ultimate level digimon." Nobu said.
"Could have something to do with Knightmon breaking free from his control." Xeno stated.
"Very likely." Nobu replied.
"So where do we begin?" Matt asked.
"The last sighting of Ken was dew north." Nobu said, pointing north.
The group then headed north to see what Ken was up to, unaware of the danger that was instored for them.
Meanwhile with the Demon Lords, Luna reported what happened from her end.
"They were as expected, surprised to see us, and they are suspicious." Luna said. "However, they have no proof of anything."
"As long as Daigo doesn't kill anyone here things will be fine." Kiri said
"For your sake." Leviamon growled, still not happy with partnering with humans.
"I don't need you scolding me." Daigo growled.
"It's called lying low, and remember I'm the one who forged your records so be grateful, you serial killing fool." Kiri said.
Daigo just snarled as he laid down, bored. "Whatever."
"You are to keep an eye on them, pretend to befriend them, which Luna is the best choice for that." Lucemon said.
"Understood." Luna nodded.
"Kiri, you are tasked with finding weaknesses of each digidestined especially Nobu, Davis and Kari." Lucemon said.
"What am I going to do?" Daigo asked.
"Your task is to don't cause trouble at school but out of school, go wild." Daemon stated, while grinning beneath his hood.
Daigo smirked. "Don't need to tell me twice, I think I'll rough up that gang in this area."
"As a matter of fact, you don't have to act as an honor student, you may act as a bully to others as long as you don't kill the students or teachers." Daemon smirked
"Fair enough." Daigo grumbled.
"We'll be in contact, stay on the down low." Lucemon as the computer screen shut off.
"We all know our roles, so let's begin." Luna stated as all three left the room.
(Digital World canyon sector)
The gang had arrived at the spot where their allies informed where Ken had been but they saw nothing, all they saw were steep cliffs and mountains perfect for an ambush so the gang was on high alert.
"It's quiet." TK started.
"Too quiet." Xeno added. "You sure this is where they say it was Nobu?"
"Yeah, this place is deserted." Veemon stated. "Only rocks and more rocks for miles."
Nobu shrugged his shoulders. "I was given this info 10 minutes ago, for all I know he could have gone through this area already."
"So this was a waste of time?" Impmon questioned.
"I don't know I feel at home here." Armadillomon said.
"That's nice to hear Armadillomon." Cody said.
"I don't think so." Davis said as he looked around. "If Ken was here and he knew we wouldn't be far behind, don't you think he would have left us a surprise here, an ambush, a trap or something that's usually how he does these things."
"We would have seen it by now." Nobu stated.
Suddenly the ground began to shake.
"What's that?" Gabumon questioned.
"Grounds shaking." Labramon stated.
"Oh great, you had to jinx it Davis!" Yolei yelled.
"Hey don't blame me for remembering how he does these things!" Davis countered.
Nobu sighed as if he was expecting this 'Great, just great." Nobu thought.
Xeno glared as he looked around and saw nothing. "Underground attack?" he questioned.
Out of the ground, came a huge green-dragon like digimon with a spiked flail on its tail with huge limbs on its back ending in huge claws meant for crushing and grabbing enemies.
"What's that Digimon?" Yolei asked.
"Groundramon, Ultimate Level." Nobu said as he took out his Fusion Loader, preparing for a fight.
"I've heard of this Digimon, his power borders on a mega's." Gatomon said.
"Let's just get this over with." Xeno said. "Ready Impmon?"
"I've been bored all day, let's rock." Impmon replied.
"Impmon Digivolve to Devimon!"
"Let's go Veemon!" Davis said.
"You bet." Veemon smirked.
"Veemon Armor Digivolve to… Flamedramon the Fire of Courage!"
"Gatomon?" Kari asked, looking at her partner.
"Yes, let's try it." Gatomon said.
"Gatomon Armor Digivolve too… Nefertimon the Angel of Light."
"Guess I still can't use the the Digiegg of Love without Yolari yet." Kari stated, she and Yolei had discovered not long after their fusion that they now had 2 digieggs in their d-terminals and she and Yolei had been trying for a while to activate each other's respective digi eggs but to no avail.
"Hawkmon your turn." Yolei said.
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to… Halsamon Wings of Love."
"Armadillomon Armor Digivolve to Digmon the Drills of Knowledge."
"Patamon Armor Digivolve to...Pegasusmon Flying Hope."
"Labramon Digivolve to… Siesamon."
"Gabumon digivolve to Garurumon X."
"Greymon, MailBirdramon…..DigiFuse…..MetalGreymon."
"Let's start this off with a bang Devimon." Xeno ordered.
Devimon wasted no time, and flew right in.
"Demon's Ray!" Devimon shouted as he fired his attack at Groundramon.
Groundramon however wasn't fazed at all, and used his one of his arms on his back to swat Devimon out of the sky like a fly
"Idiot!" Matt said not even surprised Xeno would just rush in.
"Really?" Yolei sighed. "Don't you two ever go in with a plan?"
"No they don't, and me and the Kamiya's have known him since childhood." Nobu sighed before glancing at Yolei. "What do you see in him anyway?"
"Probably female hormones." Davis stated before Kari whacked him in the head. "Ow! What was that for?"
"Nothing." Kari said with her arms crossed.
'Geez, little bro more jokes like that will ruin your chances.' Jun sighed.
"I don't need scolding from you guys!" Xeno glared.
"Ah, Xeno…" Nobu said. "Look"
Groundramon then grabbed Devimon in its arms and Devimon was struggling to get free and was nearing his jaw.
"Shit." Xeno cursed. "Put down my partner you medieval reject."
"Well, At least Impmon's in a better place now." Nobu jokes.
"Oh shut up Nobu!" Xeno yelled.
"Flamedramon, aim for his eyes." Davis called out.
Flamedramon leaped into the air. "Fire Rockets!"
Pegasusmon joined in. "Star Shower!"
Groundramon uses the other limb to cover his eyes from both attacks before swinging it down on both Flamedramon and Pegasusmon to the ground.
"Pegasusmon!" TK called in worry.
"This guy's tough." Davis said.
"What was your first thought?" Jun aid.
As if that's not the worst part, Groundramon then picked up Flamedramon in his limb with the intent to devour him.
"Put me down." Flamedramon demanded.
"Oh no." Davis called out in fear.
"MetalGreymon!" Nobu called out.
"Garurumon." Matt called out
"Right." MetalGreymon shouted as both he and Garurumon X charged in
"Giga Destroyer!" MetalGreymon shouted as he fired his lasers.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon X shouted launching a blue blast
Both attacks hit Groundramon forcing him to let go of both Devimon and Flamedramon.
"About time." Devimon said, dusting himself off.
"Be grateful that he saved us." Flamedramon said.
"I could've just let Groundramon devour you Devimon but then the idiot had to have his partner charged in." MetalGreymon said
"I think he's talking about you." Xeno said to Davis.
"You're the one who rushed in, in the first place." Davis countered.
"I'm blaming both of you." Nobu said, "Right now, we're in a fight for survival and it looks like Groundramon intends to devour us one way or another."
"Too bad greeny Digidestined and Digimon are off the menu." Xeno mocked.
"You're one to talk, Devimon was about to get devoured." Davis mocked.
"And what do you think you all are for it?" Xeno asked.
"Enough you two." Kari said. "Bicker after this battle."
"She's right, so stop being idiots." Yolei added.
"Rosetta Stone!." Nefertimon shouted as she fired red rocks at which had no effect.
"Gold Rush!" Digmon shouted as he launched his drills but it had no effect.
"Tempest Wave!" Halsemon shouted.
"Light Ray!" Siesamon shouted
All four attacks hit home but they didn't faze the ultimate.
"Damn it, can nothing hurt him?" Jun questioned.
Groundramon then began charging energy to the point that the red scales on his back was glowing.
Nobu's eyes widened. "Everyone! Brace yourselves!"
At that moment Groundramon unleashed a deviating blast of energy from his jaw blowing away all the digidestined back as well as their partner digimon, all the Digidestiend and Digimon grunted in pain.
Davis struggled to get up as he looked at Nobu. "Nobu you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm still in one piece." Nobu said,
Xeno growled. "I'm starting to hate Digimon."
"You ok Kari?" TK asked.
"A few bruises, but I'm fine." Kari said.
Yolei was feeling around for her glasses which had flown off from the attack, she had finally found them. "Thank Kami they aren't broken." She said before putting them back on."
"You ok Jun?" Matt asked.
"I'm fine Matt." Jun said while in her head. 'Ohhhh, he's worried about me, he's really concerned about my well being.'
"If this keeps up we won't last another attack." Davis stated.
"So how do we take him down?" Cody asked. "Brute force alone won't be enough."
"We attack him all at once." Nobu said. "When I give the signal attack together alright."
Everyone nodded." On you signal Nobu." Davis said.
"MetalGreymon digivolve to….ZekeGreymon."
ZekeGreymon then flew at Groundramon right as Groundramon opened his mouth in preparation for charging energy.
ZekeGreymon thrusted his claws into Groundramon's jaws before he closed them down as he began charging energy for an energy blast.
"Everyone, once ZekeGreymon forcefully opens his jaws, fire with all the power you have." Nobu stated
"Right." the others said.
"Take this." ZekeGreymon shouted as he forcefully opened his jaws.
"Now." Nobu shouted.
"Fire Rockets!"
"Demon's Ray!"
"Rosetta Stone!"
"Tempest Wave!"
"Gold Rush!"
"StarShower!"
"Sun's Courage!"
"Howling Blaster!"
All the attacks passed by ZekeGreymon as they entered Groundramon's mouth, his back began to turn red with his body starting to expand from the attacks.
"Hyper Launcher!" ZekeGreymon shouted as he delivered the finishing attack
Groundramon's body began to bulge before he exploded, leaving a giant smoke cloud in its wake, at that moment all the Digimon with the exception of ZekeGreymon returned to their previous forms.
"Phew, that was almost touch and go for a minute." Davis sighed, wiping his forehead.
"At least we're all ok." Hawkmon said.
"I could use a nap." Larbramon yawned.
"You idiots need to start thinking before doing anything." Nobu said, looking at Davis and Xeno.
"Oh shut up, I already had enough for today." Xeno countered.
"Strange though, your intel said Ken was here, but Grounddramon had no dark ring." TK said to Nobu.
"Indeed, It's as if we were lured to this area." Nobu said before his eyes widened. "Shit." Nobu muttered.
Suddenly, a bullet of sand hit ZekeGreymon knocking him down.
"What was that?" Yolei said in shock.
"That's a sniper shot." Xeno said as he looked around. "In this open area we're sitting ducks as the shooter has many places and vintage points to attack us from using the cliffs to conceal their position"
"Of course you would know that." Matt stated.
"Oh shut up blondie." Xeno said glaring at Matt.
Meanwhile from a distance "You can run but you can't hide." The sniper said, revealing himself to be a digimon known as Vulturemon before he took aim and fired at Impmon, knocking him to the ground.
"Rah!" Impmon grunted as he hit the ground.
"Impmon!" Xeno said in concern.
Impmon grunted. "I-i'm fine."
"Where is he?" Davis said as he looked around and saw nothing. "Even if he could have a good vantage point, we would be able to see him."
"We need to take cover." Cody said.
Meanwhile Vulturemon took position in another vantage point before concealing himself with his camouflage cloak.. "Alright then, time to hunt." Vulturemon smirked as he aimed at Veemon before pulling the trigger, firing a bullet of sand.
As the bullet was about to hit, Xeno fired his own bullet at it which saved Veemon.
"Woah!" Veemon said in shock as he was almost hit. "Thanks Xeno."
"No problem." Xeno smirked.
"Interesting, so you want to play? Fine, let's play." Vulturemon stated." as he pulled the trigger and fired 5 bullets of sand at Xeno, Impmon, Nobu, Cody and Davis respectively.
"Hmph." Xeno scoffed as he took both his guns and fired five shots at the sand bullets which stopped them.
"Woah, nice shooting." TK said, he's seen Xeno practice with his guns and know he was good but not good enough to shoot bullets out of the sky
"Not bad aim, why don't you show yourself!" Xeno called out.
Vulturemon smirked. "Very well." then as he unconcealed himself, revealing himself to the group. "I'm known as Vulturemon."
"I've heard of him, he's an ultimate level digimon, one of the digital world's best assassins." Zekegreymon said.
Xeno just ignored him. "Not bad for an overgrown chicken." Xeno smirked.
"Funny I was about to say the same thing about you being a hot tempered reckless idiot." Vulturemon stated
"Oh he got you there Xeni." Yolei said, while Xeno glared at her.
"Whatever, so Vulturemon, what's your beef with us?" Xeno questioned.
"I'm just a mercenary doing his job." Vulturemon stated
"Who sent you?" Nobu demanded.
"You should know by now." Vulturemon answered.
"Demon lords, should have known." Nobu frowned.
"Are they resorting to assassins?" Matt questioned.
"I think this answers your questions." Davis said.
"Enough about them." Xeno said. "So Vulturemon, feel like a SHOT at the title?" Xeno said, pointing Dusk at Vulturemon.
"Sure, I could also tell that both your guns were also modified for close ranged combat like mine." Vulturemon stated
"Don't Xeno, this is stupid use that 300 IQ brain of yours and don't do this." Davis said, trying to get Xeno back out.
"Motomiya, this is a battle between skill marksmen and I'm not passing up this opportunity." Xeno countered with his back turned to the team, he was one of the best gun users in Odaiba, and over time not many have been able to match his skills aside from Nobu and Davis, this was his chance to take his skills to the next level.
"Xeno listen to Davis." Kari said.
"Kid, don't go getting yourself killed." Matt said
Xeno didn't listen as he shot two bullets at Vulturemon, who flew up as they hit the ground before retaliating by firing 6 sand bullets at Xeno.
Xeno did the unthinkable and used the sides of his guns to deflect the bullets, which shocked Digimon, TK, Cody, Yolei and Matt while Nobu, Davis and Kari weren't since they've seen it many times.
"How did he do that?" Patamon asked in surprise.
"Yeah, I've never seen a human being able to do that." Labramon added.
"Yeah, I had no idea I could do that." Yolei said in shock.
"Did you guys know he could do that?" Jun asked Nobu, Kari and Davis.
"In a way." Nobu said
"His guns are made of a material that is very sturdy, but with Nobu's modifications they are much stronger than before." Davis explained.
"He's going to get himself killed." Matt said.
"Yes, what he's doing is crazy." TK added.
"Well now, it seems you have some skill." Vulturemon said, slightly impressed.
"Like that was my best?" Xeno stated, as he loaded new bullets. "Let me show one of my personal favorites."
Xeno fired some bullets at Vulturemon, however thanks to Vulturemon's senses developed during his time as a mercenary, he knew that there was something unusual about those bullets.
He then flew off the ground, just as the bullets hit, they exploded.
"Impressive, but I face tricks like these everyday." Vultruremon stated as he fired 10 bullets of sand in rapid succession at Xeno.
Xeno then dodged out of the way rolling on his side as the bullets flew by him. "Damn it…"
Vulturemon then began firing more shots, Xeno quickly got to his feet and began running and dodging the bullets.
"Xeno!" Yolei called out in worry.
"Idiot, now he's gotten himself in trouble." Nobu said, thinking that he'll have ZekeGreymon interfere soon.
"Don't bother, my partner's got this." Impmon said.
"Are you serious?" Matt said.
"Look, your humans are always talking about trust, then trust in Xeno." Impmon said.
"I hope he doesn't get hurt." Kari said in concern for her second childhood friend.
'He's good, I can't keep dodging forever. I need to get a clean shot in.' Xeno thought, as he turned towards Vulturemon before began to run towards him.
'What is this fool doing?' Vulturemon thought in confusion.
"What the hell's he doing?" ZekeGreymon said. "Is he trying to get killed?"
"Don't worry, when it comes to this thing Xeno's got this." Davis said.
Xeno continued to run toward Vulturemon as he continued to fire at him waiting for the right moment, he observed the shots until he found it.
"Now!" Xeno yelled as he fired from Dawn, as a sand bullet hit him in the shoulder, the bullet he fired had hit Vulturemon in the arm which he roared as his arm instantly froze up.
"Ahh!" Vulturemon roared as he dropped his sniper gun, before holding his right arm.
Xeno held his shoulder which was now bleeding from the impact. "I hate this word, but Jackpot." he said weakly as he fell to his knees as the others rushed over to him.
"Hey you alright?" TK asked in concern.
"I'm fine, I've been shot worse than in my shoulder." Xeno shrugged it off like it was nothing.
"You are an idiot Xeni." Nobu scolded.
"I agree, what were you thinking?" Matt added.
"I agree, what if you have gotten killed?" Yolei said in worry as tore a piece of her shirt, it would repair itself once she left and returned. She began to wrap it around Xeno's shoulder, stopping the bleeding. "That should do until we get back."
"All my time I thought Tai was reckless but Xeno's on another level." Patamon said.
"Who cares that was badass." Impmon said.
"Of course you would approve of this." Gatomon stated rolling her eyes
"Umm, guys." Kari spoke as she gestured up above.
Everyone looked above and saw Vulturemon glaring at them, mostly Xeno, who stood up and glared back.
"He's still standing?" Jun said in surprise.
"I must admit this, you're definitely more resourceful than the average human." Vulturemon said. "The next time we meet kid, I'll be the victor." he then vanished.
"And I'll be waiting for you chickenman." Xeno replied.
"You ok man?" Davis asked.
"Yeah, that was some hit you took." Kari added.
"I'm fine, but it looks like I have a Digimon Rival." Xeno said.
"And that's a bad thing." Nobu said, turning to Xeno. "We should get you home and get that properly treated."
Xeno scoffed but nodded. "I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him, it makes me wonder if there are more assassins out there." Xeno questioned.
"I have a feeling that might be the case." Nobu said, as the gang made their way back to the real world
(Demon Lords)
Vulturemon was now before the demon lords, holding his arm that has yet to defrost from Xeno's freeze bullet.
"You dare show your face here after you failed your mission?" Daemon roared.
Vulturemon just ignored Daemon as he took out a heat stone and defrost his frozen arm before working on his rifle.
Lilithmon frowned. "You are supposed to be one of the digital world's greatest assassins and yet you were matched by a mere human child."
"I'll pretend I didn't hear that." Vulturemon stated as he examined his prized rifle.
"Enough of this." Lucemon said. "Vulturemon, we've observed your battle and I saw that you were just playing around with them, especially Xeno care to explain."
Vulturemon put his rifle away. "I was only observing them and studying their movement. I prefer my targets to put up a fight before I end them, and the boy… he has intrigued me. Not many can spot my rounds right before they hit or deflect them."
"It seems you have started a rivalry with the boy." Astamon said.
"Don't let your foolish search for competition blind you." Lucemon said. "The next time you see those children, you finish them."
Vulturemon nodded, before he left the room. 'Xeno Jameser huh? The next time we cross paths I will be victorious.'
(Nobu's House)
The team had made it to Nobu's house while Sakura was busy tending to Xeno, Matt and Jun decided to head home for the day leaving only Nobu and the gang.
"Grh." Xeno grunted as Sakura had finally stitched the wound shut.
"You're lucky your mom's one of my friends or else I would be paying extra for all the times I've treated you." Sakura said.
"No, please charge him extra." Nobu said. "That's probably teach him to try anything stupid ever again."
"Sorry buddy, I'm flat broke." Xeno stated. "Anyway, what are we going to do about chickenman?" He meant Vulturemon. "He's probably going to be gunning for us at almost every turn."
"We'll deal with him when he appears." Nobu said. "The demon lords are resorting to hiring assassins now, this is going to be very annoying."
"As if Ken and them aren't bad enough." Yolei stated.
"Yeah, we're going to have to be more careful." Kari said.
"We'll deal with it in time, right now we should rest." Nobu said
Suddenly banging came from the front door.
"Now what? Can someone get to the door?" Sakura said.
"I'll do it." Davis said as he walked towards the door, as he opened it he was shocked to see Sai who was leaning on one of his gang members, Sai had a few slashes on his body, even some on his face, and his clothes were torn. "Sai what happened?"
Sai grunted in pain. "D...Daigo."
"Nobu, Sakura!" Davis called out, as he helped bring Sai inside the house.
Sakura had finished fixing Sai up. "You're lucky you're alive." she said in worry.
"I know." Sai said as he winced in pain.
"Brother, you alright." Nobu asked, worried.
"I'm fine, I need to beat those two before I die." Sai said, pointing at Davis and Xeno.
"I can't believe a human did this." Patamon said.
"Not all humans are goody-two shoes like your partner" Yaamon said.
"Knock it off Yaamon." DemiVeemon said
Davis chose to ignore his partner's bickering with Yaamon. "What's this about Daigo?" Davis questioned in a serious tone.
"Me and my friends, we were just relaxing in our usual hang out then Daigo showed up, saying that this district belongs to me." Sai said. "He took us all on without even trying, I'm sure he put most of my boys in the ICU after that fight."
"That's awful he just attacked you." Kari said.
"How can someone just do this to people?" TK said in anger.
"Daigo's a psychopath TJ, they don't need a reason." Xeno said.
"What did Daigo want?" Nobu asked
"He said to fight against the strongest fighters in our district, he told me to pass on a message to you and Davis to fight him." Sai said in shame. "I've never been so humiliated, and I thought Moto Miya and Xeno were bad enough."
"He wants to fight? Then bring it on." Davis said arms folded.
"Davis, I don't think you should do it." Cody said.
"He's right, after what he did to Sai and Xeno I don't think you would stand a chance." Kari said.
"She's right, it's suicide." Nobu warned.
"I have a feeling it doesn't matter if I don't go or not he'll come after me eventually." Davis stated.
"He won't cause I'll deal with him soon enough." Nobu said.

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rain fall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him, before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he look up and saw Kari standing across the street, both digidestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each others eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, with their crests appearing in the sky above them.
