Meanwhile in another dimension, a large black dragon with someone riding on top of his head was flying against some fierce winds
"Come on Dharak, hold steady." a voice said as they tried to keep a steady altitude.
"I can't." Dharak snarled as he continued soaring through the winds which continued to intensify in strength.
"You have to, or else we can't get back to the others," the voice told Dharak
Suddenly multiple dimensional gates appeared out of nowhere.
"We have to be careful not to go through." the voice said. "Who knows where those dimensional gates leads to"
"You don't need to tell me twice," Dharak replied.
However a portal suddenly opened up and a blast came through and struck Dkarak causing him to roar. "Ahhhh!" Dharak roared.
The person was also in pain as he saw they were falling towards a random portal, "Dharak, we need to move or we'll be sent to another dimension!"
"I don't have the strength…" Dharak said as they began to feel towards the gate they were both blinded by a great flash of light.
The man opened his eyes and was met with the sight of the bright blue sky, as he sat up and rubbed his head as he rose to his feet, he noticed he was in a park, as he saw many people walking by, "it looks like we are back on earth?"
Dharak who was now in ball form flew up to his partner. "Yes, but something seems off…"
The man pressed a few buttons on his watch. "Alice, are you there?" no one had responded. "Mana, Grandma, Keith come in!" just like last time no one had responded. The man looked up his family history, what shocked him when he saw they didn't exist.
"We don't exist here, not that I'm not surprised," the man said.
"Then let's get out of here," Dharak said.
"With what? There's no Kaiba Corp, Vestal or Neathian and Gundalian technology to even get us home," the man said. "Until we find our way home, we'll have to make due for now," he said before began walking out of the tree line, he then made his way into the city which he had learned was called Odaiba which wasn't so different from Domino.
"Well, at least the geography is still the same." the person muttered
"No bakugan or Kaiju being played though… it is weird." Dharak added.
They suddenly heard shouting from an alleyway, the man wanted to ignore it, but he choice to see what was going on, he walked down the alleyway, he then saw someone thrown to the ground the man rushed to the end of it but stopped along the edge of wall, he peered out and saw what was going on. He saw a bunch of thugs in blue school blazers on the ground, while the remaining ones were glaring at a kid that looked to be 12 years old who was in a black jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and black boots. The leader of the group glared at the boy.
"It seems you need better fighters Sai, these fools are not worth the effort much like you," Xeno mocked.
"I don't want to hear that from an asshole like you." Sai muttered
"Asshole? I'm not the one who started this fight, but this is good exercise for me," Xeno smirked. "So you ready for round 2 Sai Sauce?" he asked while his knuckles.
"That's it, I have it with you and that idiot Motomiya calling me that. My full name is Sai Yamato you jackass." Sai snarled
Both Xeno and Sai were ready to fight, when the man interrupted. "Excuse me, gentleman." the man asked, interrupting their fight. "But can you please help me, I'm new to town and wish for directions."
"Sorry, Granny hair, I know nothing now beat it, we're in the middle of something," Xeno said in a rude tone.
"Tch, children these days." the man said. "They have no respect for their elders." he said before cracking his knuckles. "Looks like i'll have to teach it to you myself."
"You want to fight old man? Then I'll show why my gang is feared." Sai said.
"Both of you, give me your best shot." the man said.
"Gladly," Xeno said, he pulled out a black gun and fired a bullet at the man who dodged it with ease. "You did say shot."
However to Xeno's surprise, the young man suddenly appeared in front of him and punch him in the stomach extremely hard. making him gasp in pain before passing out on the ground.
"Xeno," Sai called out in disbelief.
'Xeno.' the man thought in surprise. Before he ran up to Sai and punched in the Chest, knocking him out as well.
The members of Sai's gang charged at the young man who took them all out without breaking a sweat, he looked at the unconscious Xeno and Sai until he heard some voice.
"He's down this Alleyway," a boy's voice rang out.
"He's always getting into trouble, why do we even bother," a girl's voice complained.
"Let's just hope, he and Sai haven't killed each other yet," an older boy's voice rang out.
As they entered the alleyway they saw Xeno and Sai and the members of Sai's gang all unconscious, they rushed over to Xeno and Sai and the gang members.
"Xeno…" Davis called while shaking his unconscious friend. "Come on man, get up."
"Is he ok?" Kari asked in concern.
"Oh, you dork," Yolei said, not surprised Xeno would be unconscious from a fight.
Nobu was busy trying to wake up his brother. "Sai! Come you idiot get up!" Nobu said before slapping him.
"What could have happened to them? Daigo?" TK suggested.
"No, if this was him, they all wouldn't be breathing and would be covered in blood, someone else did this," Nobu said as Sai began to regain consciousness.
"Grr, Nobu?" Sai stuttered, as he sat up he looked around, "where did that old guy go?"
"Old man?" Nobu questioned as he help Sai to his feet. "There was no one here."
"What did he look like?" Davis asked.
"He had grayish white hair and golden eyes, he was clearly a master fighter given how easily he took me and Xeno out like we were nothing," Sai answered.
"Anything else?" Yolei asked.
"He was asking us for directions and said he was new in town, first Daigo and now some weird old man now, can things get any worse?" Sai growled.
Xeno grunted as he sat up and glared. "Where is that bastard?!" he yelled in anger.
"Calm down Xeni." Nobu said. "The guy already left."
"Don't call me that, and he has some nerve brushing me aside like I'm nothing!" Xeno exclaimed
"From what I heard he just asked the both of you for directions and both of you were being your rude selves and he was just doing self defense." Nobu deadpanned to both his brother and Xeno
"The guy threatened us first, saying we needed to learn to respect our elders,: Sai said.
Nobu again deadpanned at them both "Yeah which I bet because you replied in a rude tone, which you both deserve." Nobu stated
"I don't need this, the next time I see him he's dead," Xeno said, turning his back to the others and walked away.
"Well, just another screwed up day on the streets," Davis said flatly.
Unknown to them, the man was overviewing them from the rooftop, before turning to the retreating form of Xeno. "Xeno… I never thought this world would have one," he said before he walked away.
The next day, the digidestined had entered school. There was talk about a new school teacher, Davis, Kari and Xeno who was still upset about what happened yesterday.
"Come on Xeno, you need to let it go," Kari said, she was getting annoyed which didn't have often but Xeno's new obsession was a little much for her to take.
"Kari's right, the guy is probably halfway across Odaiba by now, the chances of you two meeting again is zip," Davis said, making a 0 with his hand.
"I don't care, once I find him he's dog meat." Xeno scowled, both Davis and Kari sighed knowing this would surely last a while.
Suddenly the door opened, and when the new teacher came the classroom
He had shaggy grayish-white hair, a black suit with a white dress suit underneath along with a red tie, he had matching black pants and brown dress shoes. Xeno glared at the man, knowing he was the guy that knocked him and Sai out while Davis just cursed himself feeling like he just jinxed it.
"Greetings students." the man said. I'm your new teacher for this semester. My name is Jaden Yuki." Jaden said as he introduced himself. "Let's get along with each other."
"Chance are zip huh?" Xeno growled at Davis.
"Don't blame Davis Xeno, this is probably why he was asking you and Sai for directions," Kari said.
"Yeah, he's trying to find his way to the school," Davis said.
"I don't buy it for 1 second," Xeno said with his arms crossed.
"You kid with the bad attitude." Jaden said pointing at Xeno. "I would normally give you detention but since it's my first day here and since I was told that you wouldn't listen to authority which would explain alot, I'll give you a warning but don't think that you could get away from that I know alot of people like you and it didn't end well for them." Jaden said with a sad smile before he started class.
The team had met at lunch, as they ate lunch Yolei was asking what the new teacher was like.
"So what's the new teacher like, is he handsome?" Yolei asked.
"He's an ugly motherfucker," Xeno growled.
"Oh shut up Xeno, let it go," Davis said.
"And to answer your question, yes he is handsome." Kari answered.
Davis scowled at what Kari had admitted which Xeno just gave Davis the middle finger with a smug smirk.
"So what did he teach you?" TK asked.
"Just basic stuff, he's very the way he taught us is much different then other teachers," Kari said.
"Good looks and big brains, me likey," Yolei said in a dreamy voice.
Xeno just got from his seat and began to walk away
"Where are you going?" TK called out.
"Far away from all of you, got a problem?" Xeno said before he left the lunch room.
"I wish he would just open up," Kari said, she knew underneath that jerkiness was a good person but all Xeno even does is push away.
"Hey isn't that your new teacher?" Yolei asked.
Davis and Kari looked over and nodded. "Yep, that's him alright. Jaden Yuki." Davis confirmed.
"Jaden Yuki… so he's the guy who beat both Xeno and Sai?" TK asked.
"As far as Xeno and Sai said, yeah. But he's an good person," Kari said.
"Miss, Kamiya, Mr Motomiya it's nice to see you both," Jaden said, as he looked over at the others, "these your friends?"
"Yes, we are, it's nice to meet you mr. Yuki, my name is Takaru Takashi, but everyone calls me TK," TK said.
"My name is Cody Hida, it's a pleasure to meet you," Cody introduced .
"My name is Yolei Inoue, it's nice to meet you, and i'm sorry for Xeno's rude actions towards you," Yolei smiled.
"It's alright." Jaden said. "Trust me, I have friends who done the same thing."
"I bet, they aren't Xeno." Davis frowned. "At times when we try to help him, he just brushes us off and says I don't need friends and I don't need you,"
"Me and Davis have known Xeno since all three of us were little, and he's still going through some tragic times," Kari added.
"But I'm going to give up on him, even when he says he doesn't need us, we'll still be there to help him whether he likes it or not," Davis smirked.
Jaden smirked. "He's really lucky to people like you in his life,"
"Hey guys!" a voice called out they turned to see Xion walking towards them. "Sorry, I'm late. I had to help put away the gymnastic equipment."
"Friend of yours?" Jaden asked.
"Oh, where are my manners," Xion bowed politely. "My name is Xion Jameser. Nice to meet you mr…"
"Yuki, Jaden Yuki," Jaden answered, while holding his surprise.
"Xeno's Twin sister, and a much better person to be around," Yolei smirked.
"Hello, I'm your brother's new teacher." Jaden introduced himself to Xion.
"It's a pleasure, I hope my brother hasn't tried to shoot you like all the other teachers?" Xion said in an embarrassed tone.
"Wait, what?" Jaden asked
"Yeah, he's not a fan of authority. Not long ago, he smashed a teacher's head into his desk for telling him to do better in class," Davis answered.
"And now you tell me this?" Jaden asked, glaring at Davis with his eyes twitching
"You never asked, and you are new here," Davis answered.
"And when you get a new teacher would you warn them about something like this?" Jaden asked annoyed
"Woah teach, I just came here to learn not work, the principle or teachers should have told you that before you applied," Davis said.
"No they didn't." Jaden said
"Then you shouldn't blame Davis for what your bosses forgot to tell you," Kari said.
Jaden turned his glare over to her. "Than I supposed you want me to tell your parents why you have detention?"
"Wait, you can't just give us detention for not telling you something the school was supposed to warn you about!" Kari said offended.
Jaden smirked, "I'm just kidding with you."
"Oh great a teacher that jokes," Davis muttered under his breath.
"But seriously, someone should keep Xeno on a leash before he hurts some innocent bystanders by accident." Jaden explained
"That's usually Davis and Nobu's Jobs, you want advice, go to Nobu," Xion said.
"Well, everyone have a good day." Jaden said as he left
"What a weird guy," Xion said. 'It's a good thing he doesn't know that our uncle in the school board which is why Xeno isn't expelled from here,'
At that time Xeno was on the roof of the school with Yaamon sitting next to him, eating a few candy bars Yolei had brought for the digimon.
"This can't be coincidence, it's just Daigo, Luna and Rich kid, suddenly appearing after we met them, and this guy appears after he kicks me and Sai's asses," Xeno said out loud, he knew there was something off about Jaden Yuki.
"I hear you," Yaamon said before taking a bite of a chocolate bar, "i've felt a strange presence for a short time in this world then it was gone,"
Xeno turned to his partner. "Demon Lords?"
"No, it was a different kind of dark energy much similar to the crest of miracles power but with darkness instead," Yaamon answered.
'Maybe I'm overthinking things, this is why I stopped being the smartest guy in school, such a boring thing,' Xeno thought as he laid down on back thinking about skipping his next class to take a nap. Xeno then began to drift off to sleep while Yaamon continued to eat the chocolate, however the intraining digimon looked aboved near the top of the roof, he had a weird feeling they were being watched. Above them Dharak who was in ball form looked down at the two before floating away.
Meanwhile in the Digital World, the demon lords had gathered for an urgent meeting.
"Why have you called us here Lucemon?" Leviamon demanded.
"Yes, this is out of the blue even for you," Lilithmon frowned.
Lucemon scowled. "You all have to have felt it? A dark power suddenly appearing in the human world?"
"Yes, it felt similar to the power of miracles but only dark," Barbramon more intrigued than upset.
"How fascinating," Astamon smirked.
"Should we send Vulturemon or another assassin to check it out?" Daemon questioned.
"No, we'll let it linger, a power like that can't remain hidden for long," Lucemon answered. "Until then warn our 'partners' to remain vigilant."
Elsewhere in the Digital World, Ken was currently typing on his computer yesterday he was studying the dark rings, still trying to figure out how Knightmon had broken free of his control along with dealing with the Demon Lords who had been causing more trouble then he cared to admit, and now some anomaly had happened back in the real world, from what his computer had told him it was a time space anomaly.
'What is this?' Ken wondered to himself. ``According to the data, there was a break in reality,' he chose to ignore it for now and focus on the dark rings and a way to end Davis and Kari who he had learned after looking up their profiles along with their pet dog Xeno.'
"Is something troubling you, master?" Wormmon asked.
"Nothing!" Ken replied in a harsh tone, as his computer had picked up a signal that a Digidestined Digimon had been spotted near his control spire, Ken got to his feet and began to walk away from the terminal. "Wormmon, we're leaving!" Ken ordered.
"Yes, master," Wormmon said, he had a bad feeling about this outing but followed after his partner.
Meanwhile back in the human world, it was now PE the team was in the gym Davis, TK, and Xeno playing basket ball, Kari and Xion dressed in there cheerleader outfits while Cody and Yolei were sitting on the bleachers along with Nobu who was done with Kendo Practice were watching. Davis and Xeno were on the same team while TK and a Boy named Subaru Tsubasa, he had short brown hair and purple eyes.
Standing by the door was Jaden watching the class. "Ah, how it feels to be young." Jaden said to himself.
Davis was dribbling the ball with TK next to him preventing him from making a move, Davis then quickly turned and passed the ball to Xeno who was making his way towards the hop with Subaru on his tail, as Subaru went to swept the ball Xeno elbowed him in the face calling him fall backwards in pain with Subaru off his tail Xeno then shot the ball and made a three point shot.
"Yes!" Xeno smirked.
"That was uncalled for Xeno!" Yolei yelled.
"Foul, Xeno." Jaden shouted
"Foul? that's how we do with streetball," Xeno scowled.
"Well this isn't streetball kid, or a basketball tournament kid, just a friendly game." Jaden said.
"Me and motomiya play with gangs and men who got out of prison, if you can't take the pain you'll never get respect," Xeno remarked.
"Like talking with a monkey." Jaden muttered to himself before correcting himself. "No wait, even a monkey could understand."
"Just let it go Xeno," Davis said as he helped Subaru up. "You ok?"
"Yeah, thanks." Subaru said, appreciating the gesture.
"You don't need to continue if you don't want," TK offered.
"Na, i'm going to keep going, it'll take more than an elbow to the face to get me down," Subaru answered.
"TK's team turn," Nobu called out as he bounced the ball to TK.
Xeno scoffed as he got to position, Jaden walked up to Nobu and sat next to him as the boys were ready to continue their match.
"So, is he always like this?" Jaden asked Nobu.
Nobu knew he was referring to Xeno. "unfortunately yes… that attitude of his has been a pain for a long time,"
Jaden nodded "Yeah, I known guys like that as well," Jaden said "Trust me if they keep going on that path they'll just end up pushing everyone away and eventually lose everything sooner or later until it's too late."
This caught everyone on the sideline to look at Jaden, "you almost talk as if it's from personal experience?" Nobu said.
TK was dribbling in place while Davis and Xeno were blocking his path, TK looked and saw Subaru holding his hands out, TK bounced the ball to Subaru who took the shot and scored the winning point,
"Way to go you two," Kari caled out.
"Great game everyone," Xion cheered.
Xeno grunted while Davis was jealous that Kari was cheering for TK, but said nothing.
"We would have won if it wasn't for that foul," Xeno growled.
"You're the one who cause the foul that cost us the game Xeni," Davis said.
Xeno glared at Davis, "don't call me that or i'll kill you!"
Davis just scoffed at that. "You tried that before and have fail regardless Xeno,"
Xeno and Davis glared at each other everyone in the room could the feel the tension building between the two, Jaden looked between them, he could feel two energies building in side both boys, he could see a dark purple aura surrounded Xeno and Davis he could see a golden aura surrounding him, however the tension was cut when Kari and Xion got between them.
"No fighting, and blaming each other. You both did your best," Kari said standing between the two.
"She's right, let it go Xeno," Xion said to her brother.
Both boys just backed off, but Xeno turned on his heels and left the room.
"Well see you, it's been nice talking to you kids again." Jaden said as he left the Gym and walked through the hallway
Xeno was still walking through the hallway, until he heard a voice that irritated him.
"You know, if you keep going on this path you'll regret it for the rest of your life eventually." the voice said, making Xeno turned around to see Jaden.
"I think I heard that in a fortune cookie once?" Xeno dismissed.
Jaden gave a cold chuckle. "Alot of people said similar things and eventually it all caught up with them and eventually it ruined them."
"Get to the point, I have places to be grandpa," Xeno said, turning to face Jaden.
"My point is that you have friends to back you up and if you continue to push them back eventually you'll lose everything." Jaden said "Oh yeah and FYI I'm only in my 20's." Jaden stated before walking away
Xeno just glared at Jaden's retreating form, 'I don't need friends, when they'll eventually die,' Xeno learned from his father's death at the hands of Myotismon is that when you have bonds with people most of all friends and family, it'll only bring misery when they die.
Later, after school, Jaden went back to the house where he was invited to.
"I'm back." Jaden said.
"Right on time, I'm getting dinner ready," a female voice called out, walking out of the kitchen was young woman in her early 20s, she bore a resemblance to Jaden's wife Alice with the exception of her hair which was dirty blonde along with green eyes, her name was Nozomi Tetsuya, how was a student at a locale collage living on her own while she pursued her education.
"Thanks again Nozomi and sorry to inconvenience you." Jaden said.
"It's no trouble at all, I was taught to show kindness towards others, plus you seem more responsible then the others who rented out the house," Nozomi said, she had rooms for rent but most of the time she had taken in people who neglected some of the rules she had placed, they had to clean after themselves, help with the groceries and help with paying the bills for their stay and most of the time Nozomi had to kick them out, but Jaden came along telling her that he had nowhere to stay and promising he would contribute to the house. "So how was your first day at work?" she asked as she walked back into the kitchen.
"It was relatively well." Jaden admitted
"The kids give you a hard time?" Nozomi asked
"Just one." Jaden said..
"Well. that's always bound to happen," Nozomi said while looking over the dinner. "What's his or her name?" she asked out of curiosity.
"A brat named Xeno Jameser…" Jaden frowned.
"Jameser?" Nozomi said in surprise.
"You know the kid?" Jaden asked eyebrow raised.
"Not personally, but I knew Xeno Jameser Sr. who was my professor for a semester," Nozomi answered. "A really great man, definitely years ahead of his time," Nozomi said in a sad tone.
"I see." Jaden said "Anyway what's for dinner?" Jaden asked
"Rice balls and sushi," Nozomi smirked. "Another 20 minutes and it'll be done,"
"Nice, next time I'll fix dinner alright." Jaden offered
"Thank you, I knew you would be different, the real test is you contributing to the bills," Nozomi stated.
"Okay, I'll do my best." Jaden stated as he gave a mock salute. Nozomi rolled her eyes and smirked.
At that moment in the Digital World Greymon X was patrolling his area for any signs of the Demon Lords or the Digimon Emperor, however his stroll was cut short when Stingmon and a few Airdramon appeared.
"Come and get it! Let's go at it one on one Stingmon!" Greymon X threatened.
"As much as I appreciate the offer, I rather we play ring toss," Ken countered calmly, as a Dark Ring flew towards him, Greymon X didn't move at the Dark Ring clasped itself around Greymon X's neck for the second Ken thought it work but was shocked when Greymon X grabbed the Ring with his claw and ripped it of.
"What's the meaning of this!" Ken demanded in anger.
"Your leash doesn't work on me," Greymon X snorted.
"Stingmon!" Ken shouted, Stingmon then flew at Greymon X as they began to battle.
Meanwhile the situation was being observed by one of the Demon Lords, mainly the Demon Lord of Envy, Leviamon.
"Send in the Soundbirdmon." Leviamon ordered to his minions.
"Nova Flame!" Greymon X roared before he fired an intense white flame at Stingmon, who used his superior speed to dodge the attack.
"Spiking Strike!" Stingmon exclaimed as his shoulder armor raised up releasing energy before he flew down with the intent to skewer Greymon X with his spike on his arm.
Greymon X held out his arms and grabbed Stingmon's arms before slamming the insect digimon to the ground.
Stingmon, however quickly recovered and flew back into the air, he then heard something. "Master, we should retreat." Stingmon advised
"No, I want Greymon captured," Ken remarked.
"Master, I must advise we leave. They are coming," Stingmon said.
Greymon X was confused for a minute until he heard something too. "No, not that digimon," he grumbled, knowing what this noise was.
"What are you blabbing about Stingmon?" Ken demanded.
"Soundbirdmon." Stingmon dreaded in fear
"Soundbirdmon?" Ken said in surprise, knowing that the said digimon could control other digimon with a sound that would put them under their control, the Digimon Emperor gritted his teeth. "We're leaving, let's got out of here fast," he ordered.
"As you wish." Stingmon said as he and the Airdramon left the area.
Greymon X knew it was time for him to leave, even with the X antibody he wouldn't be able to resist the soundbirdmon's power as he was about to leave the Soundbirdmon appeared.
"Just my luck," Greymon X growled, he knew it wasn't the Digimon Emperor's as he had ran away, "the Demon Lords…" he said, as he fired a Nova Blast at the Soundbirdmon hoping to destroy however it evaded his attack before it began to emit a noise, Greymon X tired to hit it with his Nova Blast multiple times but to no avail, he then tried to run away but he could feel the noise began to take him over. 'I need to resist,' Greymon X thought as he roared to the sky, while Leviamon just looked down and smirked, soon they would have control of one of the digiDestined digimon.
The next day the school day started as usual, at the moment Davis, Xeno and Kari were in the middle of Class as Jaden began to teach them about complex Theory. Xeno just glared at Jaden who just ignored him.
"For today's students, we'll be talking about multiverse theory," Jaden said, surprising most while Xeno arched his eyebrow. "Can anybody tell me about it if you can?"
"The Multiverse theory is the theory about how there are multiple universes that coexist with us on parallel dimensional planes," Xeno answered to everyone but Davis, Kari's surprise.
"Very good." Jaden said. "I guess that's the only positive thing about you." Jaden muttered
"To understand it, is that each choice a person makes or don't makes affects what happens causing each of the universes to branch off into different tangents," Xeno added in a bored tone.
"Very good assumption," Jaden said,
The day had gone by fast and school had ended. the group had met in the computer room on Izzy's request with the exception of Nobu who had to take care of some things but promised he would join them soon.
"So what's the matter Izzy?" TK asked.
"I was contacted by Tentomon who has bad news to share." Izzy said, worrying the group.
"Just spit it out" Xeno said rudely.
"Greymon X has been taken over." Izzy said. "And before you all freak out it wasn't Ken who did the deed."
"The Demon Lords?" Davis asked.
"Yes." Izzy said. "Based on what Tentomon told me they used a Digimon called Soundbirdmon to do the deed."
This confused the group of kids. Until Yaamon spoke. "Why am I not surprised, you all never heard of them."
"What is a Soundbirdmon?" TK asked.
"They are Digimon that have the ability to take over other digimon with it's soundwaves," Patamon said in concern.
"That's right, the Demon Lords uses them to take control of other Digimon making them their minions or slaves," Yaamon said.
"So a Digimon Pied Piper in a way?" Xeno asked.
"In a way, but on a much more dangerous scale," Yaamon answered.
"We need to go save Agumon," Kari said, concerned for her friend.
"Hold your horses, if we go in like this we'll end up being controlled too," Yaamon said.
"He's right, even Myotismon would have trouble breaking free from those overgrown turkeys," Gatomon said.
"We can't just sit here and do nothing, we at least need to try," Davis said.
"Motomiya's right, Greymon is an ally and we can't just sit here, let's go," Xeno said.
"Yeah, let's go," Demiveemon agreed.
Izzy saw their determination and nodded. "Alright, you convinced me, now's the time for action," Izzy said
Outside, Jaden was secretly listening to the Digidestined before walking away.
Jaden then took out his cell and dialed Nozomi's phone. "Hello Nozomi, it's Jaden, I'll be back home from work early and I will fix our dinner before you return alright."
"Thanks, Jaden, I'll see you after classes are over," Nozomi replied.
"Alright I'll see you later," Jaden said before hanging up.
"So where is Greymon's current location?" Cody asked Izzy.
Izzy typed on the computer. "According to Tentomon Greymon was last seen heading for this volcano region," he said pointing at the map.
"While you are there, I'll contact Jun and Nobu as well," Izzy told them.
"Alright, let's go!" Davis said with the others they held their digivices to the computer screen and were sucked into the computer.
Izzy looked at the door, he had felt like they were being watched. However he shrugged it off before contacting Nobu and Jun.
Meanwhile, back a Nozomi's house, after Jaden got back home from work, he immediately cook dinner, which was Ramen as well as some Riceballs, after having his share, he left a note on the counter letting Nopzomi know that her share is ready and is in the fridge and just needs to be heated up.
Jaden than went to his room in the house. "Dharak." Jaden called out
"Yes," Dharak said floating up to Jaden. "Will I finally get to battle something in this boring world?"
"Of course." Jaden said. "Those kids were able to enter into a computer, but to where I don't know."
"A version of Cray?" Dharak asked.
"Possibly… I don't know who they did it, but I think I might be able to track the energy of Davis," Jaden said, out of all those kids, Davis, Kari and Xeno seemed to give off a lot energy especially the goggle head, the power he gave off felt similar to his gentle darkness which would make it easy to find him. Jaden then closed his eyes and began to concentrate as he began to focus he as he felt Davis's energy however he suddenly felt a jolt of golden power surge through him making him lose balance for a second before he stood up straight.
"You ok, Jaden?" Dharak asked in concern.
"Yes, for a second I was overwhelmed, but I'm fine now," Jaden said. "Now, we can go to where they are," he then began to chant as a portal opened in front of him. "I won't be going in person this time Dharak but I have an Idea who to send with you,"
"Hmm." Dharak muttered
Jadne smirked as he used his power, to create a figure. The figure has shaggy grayish silver hair. He wore a dark grey mask featuring four long red stripes with a dragon motif, the mask only showed his glowing red eyes and his mouth. He wore a long white sleeveless tailcoat with a high collar and red accents, a black and red bodysuit underneath, and a matching gauntlet on his left arm. This was Jaden when he was Dragon.
"Your evil alter ego?" Dharak uttered he had heard about the Dragon persona from Jaden himself. "I thought you said that Dragon is dead?"
"Trust me, he is." Jaden frowning Dragon was one of his biggest mistakes, which almost cost him not only his family and friends but his wife who had been affected by it the worst. "I'm not planning to be him long, this is so those kids won't know who I am. I can't have them learning I'm from an alternate world just yet."
"Very well, let's go." Dharak said, as he rolled into ball form began landing the avatar's hand, as it went through the portal.
While Jaden looked at his hand, wondering what the power that surged through him was. It was a strong power of light which felt as powerful as his power. It made him think that Davis Motomiya was similar to him. However he can tell that the boy was untrained unable to control or access the power, unlike him who was trained by his world's Xeno and his grandmother to control and access his powers at will, it got him thinking maybe and a big maybe he could help the kid control it like his Xeno did for him, and maybe he could help save this Xeno from himself he could tell the boy was suffering from a pain that runs so deep it caused by something horrible but he knew from his past experience is that shutting out people that care about you would only make it hurt a person more.
Earlier as the Digidestined arrived in the area where Greymon X was last heading for, the landscape was that of a desolate rocky area with lava pools spread throughout the area.
"Reminds you of hell, doesn't it?" Xeno said flatly.
"No, I figure hell would be worse," Davis replied.
"Cut it out you two, let's find Greymon X," Kari said, as she began walk with Gatomon not far behind, she didn't want to waste time Greymon X could be in trouble. The rest of the team soon followed after her.
A fair distance from them, keeping an eye on them was Jaden in his Dragon avatar. "These kids sure don't know the meaning of patience, than again I can't blame them." Dragon said.
"With their friend under the control of the enemy, it's no surprise," Dharak added, who was still in ball form.
"We'll hang back for a time, and only intervene if needed," Dragon told his partner, who nodded.
After a few minutes the team were walking along the path between the lava pools, Xeno stopped and looked at the lava. He picked up a stone and dropped it in, which sinked below the surface.
"Yeaaah, wouldn't want to take a dip in this hot tub," Xeno frowned, glaring at the molten fire.
"Are you coming Xeni?" Yolei called out. Xeno just glared at her before he and Impmon began to catch up with them, however the surface of the Lava began to to bubble before several figures shot out and landed behind the children getting their attention, the figures were Meramon.
"Should have seen this coming," Davis said, not surprised.
"Meramon, and they don't have dark rings, so this is definitely a demon lord trap," TK said.
"That's right." another voice said as a figured jumped out of the lava pool, the figure was SkullMeramon.
"Who's that?" Yolei questioned.
"That's Skullmeramon, an Ultimate Digimon." Gatomon answered
"Yes, he caused the heatwave back when Myotismon invaded Odaiba," Kari said. She remembered Tai telling her about this Digimon and how powerful it was.
"Where's Greymon X?" Davis demanded.
"As if I would tell you brats." Skullmeramon said with his arms crossed. "I will burn you all to a crisp,"
"Will see about that, ready Veemon?" Davis asked his partner.
"Ready!" Veemon smirked.
"Let's go Impmon," Xeno said.
"I'll extinguish this overgrown candle," Impmon said
"Digiarmor Energize!" everyone but Xeno called out.
"Veemon armor digivolve to… Flamedramon the fire of courage!"
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to… Halsamon the wings of love!"
"Armadillomon Armor Digivolve to… Digmon the Drill of power!"
"Patamon Armor Digivolve to… Pegasusmon Flying Hope!"
"Gatomon Armor Digivolve to… Nefertimon the Angel of Light!"
"Impmon Digivolve to… Devimon!"
Not far away, Dragon had witnessed the creatures transformations, he wasn't that surprised however intrigued. 'Interesting, seeing this is almost similar to a Kaiju where they are able to evolve as well as the old methods for evolving bakugan where they're able to change into a stronger form before changing back into their normal form to sustain energy.'
"Hmph," Skullmeramon huffed as he snapped his fingers causing the Meramon to bombard the digidestend and their partner Digimon with rains of fire.
"Incoming!" Davis called out,
"Tempest Wave!" Haslamon called as he began to spin creating a strong current of wind that deflected the multiple fire attacks.
"Fool, don't you know wind only makes fire even stronger?" Skullmeramon said.
"We need to get them to safety," Flamdramon said, knowing they couldn't fight as long as their partners were in the line of fire.
"Hop on," Neferitimon said, as Kari Yolei and Cody hoped on her back, while TK, Davis and Xeno were carried by Pegasusmon as they took the kids far enough away to be out of danger and so if they needed them.
"Gold Rush!" Digmon exclaimed bringing all his drills to the ground creating a fissure getting toward SkullMeramon.
"Too weak." Skullmeramon exclaimed as he slammed his fist on the ground creating a wave of fire that canceled out Digmon's attack
"Then try this, Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon shouted as he fired multiple fire balls at Skullmeramon.
"Heavy Metal Fire!" Skullmeramon shouted as he launched a destructive ball of melted metal at Flamedramon, when it collided with the fireballs they were absorbed by Skullmeramon's attack making it stronger before it hit the ground causing a huge explosion.
"Flamedramon!" Davis called out.
As the smoke cleared Flamedramon was still on his feet, but had taken heavy damage. "Is that all you got?" Flamedramon taunted.
"Nope." Skullmeramon said. "Blazing Iron Whip!" Skullmeramon exclaimed as he struck Flamedramon with the many chains on his body, knocking him to the ground
"Ahh!" Flamedramon yelled, in pain..
"Starshower!" Pegasusmon shouted as he bombarded the ultimate level digimon with endless shooting stars.
"That tickles." Skullmeramon muttered
"Then try this Demon's Ray!" Devimon roared; he fired a few beames from his eyes.
"Rosetta Stone!" Neferitimon shouted as she launched multiple stones at the ultimate digimon.
"Heat Chain!" Skullmeramon shouted as he used a flame-covered chanin to deflect the attacks before setting his eyes on Devimon. "You Devimon are nothing but a traitor and the other Demon Lords have requested for your death." Skullmeramon snarled.
"Really? As if I really care," Devimon dismissed.
"This isn't going well, nothing they do is even denting Skullmeramon," Cody said nervously.
"We can't just give up," Kari said.
"I have an idea," Xeno said before taking out his freeze bullets. "I just need a clear shot,"
However, Meramon approached them, glaring at the kids. "Oh crap, we forgot about them!" Yolei exclaimed as the Meramon began to walk towards them, taking advantage of their partners who were fighting Skullmeramon.
"No!" Pegasusmon said as he tried to fly to them, a chain wrapped around him, before he was slammed to the ground, with a hard smash.
"I won't let any of you leave," Skullmeramon said, before he wrapped all his chains around them to keep any of them from leaving, as they struggled to break free.
The Meramon where charging their final attack, while the kids braced for the end, Davis and Xeno just glared at the fire digimon while Kari and Yolei hid behind both boys scared that this would be the end, both TK and Cody were thinking about their families back home. "Magma Blast!" as dozens of magma rocks as the kids while the digimon could only stare in horror as the attack were launched at their partners.
The attacks hit their mark causing a huge explosion, all the Digimons eyes widened in feared.
"Davis!" Flamdramon called out.
"Kari!" Neferitimon called out in fear.
"TK!" Pegasusmon yelled.
"Yolei!" Halsamon yelled.
"Cody!" Digmon yelled.
Devimon said nothing, he was indeed scared, a feeling he had not known he was capable of. He had become close to his partner and for the first time in his life felt deep pain. 'I'm sorry Xeno…' Devimon thought in despair.
As the smoke cleared, they saw that their partner were safe and were protected by a majestic looking golem wearing gold accented armor as well as a cape.
"What?!" Skullmeramon exclaimed in shock.
The kids opened their eyes and saw that they were alive, and in front of them was a golem.
"We're alive…" Davis said in relief.
"Thank you Kami," Xeno sighed,
"But who's that?" Yolei asked while relieved she didn't die.
"I've never seen a digimon like him before," TK said.
"Thanks for saving us," Kari smiled, however the Golem didn't reply.
"What is that thing?" Skullmeramon said, he had never seen a digimon like him before, or if it is even a digimon to begin with.
The golem than began to swat away the Meramon with ease with nothing but raw power, even though the Meramon were fighting back the golem wasn't slowing down or was showing signs of it.
"They aren't even hurting him," Devimon said as he and the others continued the watch.
"Let's get some distance while they are distracted," Davis said, as they moved away from the Golem and Meramon who continued to fight. As they moved far enough away from the looked back as saw the Golem was tossing the Meramon away one by one.
"Well this is entertaining," Xeno said as he looked at the battle.
"We're lucky to be alive and you find this entertaining!" Yolei shouted.
"We have other things to worry about," TK said, gesturing to their partners who were still trapped.
"That's enough!" a familiar voice called out, stopping the fight, everyone looked up and saw Leviamon with Greymon X next to him.
"Leviamon!" The digidestined called out, shocked that the Demon Lord, but they saw Greymon X with him.
"Greymon!" Kari called out, however her friend didn't reply.
"Don't bother, your voice cannot reach him, he is now a loyal pawn of the Demon Lords," Leviamon said, he then gestured for Skullmeramon for something, the ultimate digimon nodded as he shifted the chains and sent the Digidestined partners flying as they crashed to the ground.
"He let them go?" Davis said, surprised by that.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Cody said nervously.
"I think it would be fun, to have Greymon be the one to end you and your pathetic partner's life," Leviamon smirked through his teeth.
"Now Greymon X digivolve into MetalGreymon X and become a servant of the Demon Lords." Leviamon shouted
A Black lightning bolt suddenly struck Greymon X causing him to glow
"Greymon X…Digivolve to…MetalGreymon X"
MetalGreymon X looked very different from the first time he became MetalGreymon X, the cybernetics on his body were now enhanced, his skin color was now blue, his hair loks like its flames, and his wings look like they're flames as well. On his left arm he's now equipped with the Alterous which Metal Greymon X in his vaccine form used.
"What just happened?" Kari asked as she just looked at her mind controlled friend's dark digivolution.
The golem just walk in front of the children, in an attempt to protect from from the battle before pounding its fists together.
"I don't know what you are, but if you want to die then so be it, MetalGreymon X destroy them all," Leviamon ordered.
The Digimon Partners stood by the Golem ready to fight and defend their human partners at all costs. "Give it your best shot, we aren't going down without a fight," Flamedramon said even though he was still injured from before he would not let Metalgreymon X hurt his friends.
MetalGreymon X gave out a feral roar "Giga Destroyer!" he exclaimed before shooting out two missles from his chest at them
Everyone avoided the missiles, but as soon as the missiles hit the ground, they exploded. The shockwaves forced most of the digimon to revert back to their weaker forms, Hawkmon, Armidillomon, Gatomon and Patamon were down for the count, as their partners who were protected from the attack thanks to the Golem rushed over to their fallen partner with concern and fear. while Flamedramon and Devimon were still barely standing and were to the point of collapsing.
Meanwhile watching from afar was Dragon and Dharak who were up until now just observing the situation but did send Metagolem to protect the children.
"Leviamon, hard to believe he exists in this world," Dragon said, knowing the demon lords in his world, so it was safe to say the others were in this world as well, but it seems like they were hell bent on killing those kids.
"Should I enter?" Dharak asked.
Dragon nodded, it was time to make themselves known.
"Hahaha, you fools are finished to bad Nobu isn't here to see your end," Leviamon laughed,
"I'm… not… done yet," Flamedramon said as he breathed heavily.
"Me… either…" Devimon stated equally as tried but was not willing to give up.
"Hmph, so be it Greymon X end this," Leviamon ordered.
MetalGreymon X than steady and aimed the Alterous at them "Pandemic Destroyer!" MetalGreymon X roared as he released viral energy from the Alterous towards them.
Meanwhile from afar, where Dragon and Dharak are.
"Dharak." Dragon called out as Dharak landed on Dragon's hand. "Bakugan Brawl, Dharak Stand!"
In a flash of purple light Dharak emerged in his true form and launched a powerful blast of black energy towards MetalGreymon X's attack, canceling out the attack. The shockwaves however caused both Devimon and Flamedramon to revert back as well.
At that point Dharak landed in front of Metalgreymon X
"What is this? Who are you?" Leviamon said not only was mad that the attack didn't kill his enemies but there was another creature he didn't recognize.
"Yes, who the hell is that thing?" Xeno asked himself as he kneeled down at his partner.
"You're not worthy of my name." Dharak replied, making Leviamon angry.
"So I guess he's an ally, like the Golem," Yolei said as she held Hawkmon close to her.
"You dare talk down to Leviamon the demon lord of envy?!" Leviamon roared in anger.
""Yes I dare." Dharak roared, giving out just as much power, even more power
"This power… it's even greater than Leviamon's" Impmon stuttered through the pain. "Whoever this guy is he's in a different league all together,"
"Dharak, enough." a voice called out causing everyone to turn attention to the direction of the voice.
"Who's that?" Yolei said with a blush at who she saw.
"I don't know," Davis said as he looked at the new arrival.
"Who are you Human?" Leviamon demanded.
"My name is Dragon, and I think you should surrender to their friend before I have Dharak end you," Dragon said calmly.
"Dragon?" Yolei arched an eyebrow. "Who names themselves that?"
Dragon gave a subtle glare at Yolei, almost daring her to say that to his face.
"It seems like he didn't like that, Dragon, how about the snake that sounds much scarier," Xeno smirked.
Dragon just rolled his eyes, although his mask covered his face so that they couldn't see it when he rolled his eyes. 'And suddenly I'm regretting saving Xeno.' Dragon thought as he turned his attention back to Leviamon. "Last chance, leave or I'll tear you apart."
"You dare threaten me? Metalgreymon X destroys them," Leviamon ordered.
MetalGreymon X's arm began to transform and became a rail gun, as he aimed it at Dharak.
"Careful, that's his most deadly weapon," TK called out.
"Dharak." Dragon called out
"Right!" Dharak smirked as he began gathering electrical energy around his body. "Thunder Prove!" Dharak roared as he fired a massive blast of dark lightning towards Metalgreymon X
"Fire!" Leviamon roared, as Metalgreymon X retaliated with his own blast.
As the attacks collided they created shockwaves the force causing rocks to fly and destroying surrounding landscape as Metagolem stepped in front, protecting the children and their injured partners
"I think a tactical retreat is in order." Dragon said.
"We can't just leave metalgreymon x," Kari pleaded.
"Kari he's right," TK said. "We're in no shape to fight we need to fall back,"
Kari was about to refuse again until Davis spoke. "We'll save him, but we need help if we're going to," Kari looked at Davis and reluctantly nodded.
"Hey Dragon? Do you mind giving us some cover?" Davis called out
"Why do you think I'm here?" Dragon said Davis gave him a thumbs up before they gathered their partners as they began to make their escape while Xeno looked at Dragon for a second before he followed after the others, after seeing the kids were out of harm's way Dragon called out. "Dharak pushed him away, so we can leave!"
Dharak understood before putting more power into his attack, pushing back MetalGreymon's attack, surprising the mind controlled Digimon before the attack exploded, the force pushing the ultimate digimon back.
"Let's get out here!" Dragon called out as Metagolem vanished and Dharak began to take fly as the Dragon leaped on his partner's back as they flew away.
"Gaahh!: Leviamon roared as he saw Dragon and Dharak leave, as Metalgreymon X got to his feet and prepared to follow. "No… let them go." Leviamon ordered MetalGreymon X standed down as Skullmeramon walked over to his master.
"I'm sorry, we weren't able to kill those annoying kids," Skullmeramon bent to his knees.
"It matters not, we would rather them feel helpless first before ending them," Leviamon said before turning to Metalgreymon X. "they'll come back, as long as we control MetalGreymon X they will no doubt return to try and free him." however they also had to deal with an unknown human along with creatures he had never seen before, and they will have to destroy them as well.
The team had arrived in the real world, and had arrived at Nobu's house to recover, as they did they told Nobu about what had happened. Nobu was disappointed in them for heading into the Digital World recklessly and that Izzy had allowed it, but he was happy they had returned safely, but there was something that was bothering him.
"Dragon?" Nobu arched an eyebrow in confusion.
"That's what he called himself, and man if it wasn't for him we would be dead," Davis admitted,
"If you asked me he's an asshole." Xeno gave his opinion before Kari hit him in the head. "Ow! What was that for?" he asked while rubbing his head.
"For being ungrateful, we wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't for that 'asshole'." Kari said glaring at Xeno.
"But who is, and what were those creatures he used?" Cody asked. "Is there a Digimon called Dharak Nobu?"
"Nope, I believe it's something different just like that golem you described." Nobu gave his opinion.
"They aren't digimon, but their power was greater than Leviamon and he's one of the strongest," Yaamon said.
"I think Dragon was handsome, like a superhero saving the day,' Yolei said with a dreamy look on her face.
"Foolish woman," Xeno scoffed.
"But we failed to save MetalGreymon X," TK sighed in pain. "He's still under the control of the Demon Lords,"
"We'll think of a plan, but right know I think you all need rest especially your partners," Nobu said and the younger kids and their digimon couldn't agree more, after the near death experience they all had earned rest however their failed mission did leave some mental wounds that would stay for awhile, as they left home Nobu began to think about Dragon, who is he and is he really an ally next time he had to make sure that he was there to meet him.
Not long after the Digidestined had returned to the real world, a portal opened in Jaden's room as Dragon and Dharak who had returned to ball form had walked through, Jaden walked in the room wearing an apron, he had sensed they had returned, Jaden waved his hand dismissing the avatar of Dragon before he spoke.
"So what's that world like?" Jaden asked Dharak.
"On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give it a negative 10 for being a habitat for weaklings." Dharak replied.
"That weak huh? What about the kids?" Jaden asked.
"Had to save them from their mind control friend, what's more annoying is that Leviamon was there," Dharak answered.
Jaden frowned. "So the Demon Lords exist here to after all…those kids must be like me and the others, chosen to save that world,"
"Well they are doing a terrible job considering the fact that they almost got killed." Dharak dismissed as what he saw those kids didn't stand a chance as they are now,
"Well considering whose on their team I can't blame them." Jaden said, thinking back to Xeno and his attitude, which remind him that he needs to speak to the school board for his preferential treatment.
"Yes, he even jokes about Snake being a scarier name than Dragon." Dharak stated.
"I see." Jaden said.
The next day at school, Jaden went to the school board as he told Dharak to talk about Xeno.
"Excuse me, can I come in please?" Jaden asked
"Yes you may," a male voice replied.
Jaden entered the room. "I'm sorry to interrupt you but I wish to speak about a student and why he hasn't been expelled or disciplined yet?" Jaden asked
The man had short black hair and golden eyes wearing a suit. "You mean Xeno right?" he sighed. "The names Nathan Jameser it's nice to meet you Mr Yuki," this surprised Jaden a lot but, now it all made sense, so he kept quiet. "And I already know what you are thinking, I show favoritism towards my nephew and allow him to do whatever he wants,"
"Pretty much yeah, why don't you or his mother discipline him?" Jaden asked
"We do," Nathan answered. "Sorry, me and my family have been grieving for the last 3 years when my brother died," Jaden then thought about what Nozomi said, that Xeno Sr. was a good man. "You see me. Yuki, my little brother and his son had a strong bond with each other, Xeno the 3rd used to be a kind, loving and brash child until it happened…"
"You mean those creatures appeared 3 years ago right, I read the internet of what happened." Jaden said.
"Yes, you see, before that time my brother worked as a professor of science and Archaeology and he had a theory like most about other dimensional creatures, who had shaped humanity throughout history. '' Nathan explained. "But that's for another time, you see during that time my nephew was about to be captured by those monsters, but my brother had tried to save him and was killed by a vampire who put a hole through his chest, his blood splashed on Xeno's face and from what I heard he tried to attack but was hit by some lighting giving him a scar down his right eye," Nathan said while tracing his hand down his eye. "He acts tough in order to hide the pain that he has been feeling for the last 3 years, I'm happy that Nobu, Tai, and Davis are there for him when he needs it,"
While Jaden understood the reason behind Xeno's behavior, he wishes he could just accept his friends like Yusuke Fujiwara, a fellow student from Duel Academy.
"Sorry but while I do sympathize with him, his reasoning for not accepting friends is just proving that he's a coward as well as a hypocrite." Jaden said.
"Hahaha… I'm pretty sure his father would have said the same thing," Nathan laughed. "If you want to help him, please do, me, his mother and everyone would like to see him accept his friends especially his father,"
Don't worry, I intend to." Jaden smiled as he walked out the room.
Meanwhile back in class, the class were waiting for Jaden and until then were currently told to do self-study until he came back as was written on the board.
"Ahhh.." Xeno yawned out of boredom.
"Tired Xeno?" Kari asked.
"Bored out of my mind." Xeno clarified.
"He's not the only one, I know we're taking a break from our side job, but I miss the action," Davis said with his hands behind his head.
"Unlike you two, I prefer peace and quiet once in a while," Kari told them
"I couldn't agree with you more." Jaden said as he entered the classroom. "Sorry I'm late everyone, I wanted to talk to the school board about something." Jaden stated.
"Please tell me it's your resignation?" Xeno quipped.
Jaden just looked at Xeno with a deadpan stare. "Why can't my wife be here for this?" Jaden told himself out loud as he facepalm himself in annoyance.
"Xeno, why don't you show respect?" Kari scolded Xeno.
"Whatever…" Xeno dismissed.
"Anyway, Time for our next lesson." Jaden said. "Tell me what would a counterpart be?"
"A counterpart?" Davis asked.
"You remember what he asked about the multiverse?" Kari asked Davis. "Basically there's a you in this world and another version of you in another world.'' Kari explained.
"Oh," Davis said, blushing slightly.
"Yes, that's basically the gist of it. Of course depending on the world there could be differences between the Davis here and the Davis in those worlds." Jaden clarified.
"Such as?" a male student name Rito asked.
"Well, he could be a reckless idiot." Jaden said
"Try telling us something that isn't true?" Xeno stated.
"What was that Xeno?" Davis glared at Xeno.

'If only you knew, kid,' Jaden thought. "Well it's almost time for all of you to go home now." Jaden said. "Remember to study."
After class Davis, Kari and Xeno met up with the others outside the school.
"So how was your lesson?" TK asked out of curiosity.
"Not bad, learned about counterparts," Davis shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm surprised that Mr. Yuki is teaching you about that complex theory," Cody remarked.
"True, many people think it's a wild theory about multiple universes," Xion said.
"Well well, if it isn't Davis and Xeno," a familiar voice said, they all turned to see Daigo smirking,
"Daigol, I knew I smelt your disgusting odor," Xeno scowled.
" aren't worth my time anymore , especially since I beat your sorry ass Xeni." Daigo said.
"You dare call me that name!" Xeno shouted in anger
"I only heard it from other students but damn they are right you really do hate that name." Daigo said.
"What do you want? Just here to insult us?" Davis frowned.
"No, I came to fight you, like I said I've already defeated Xeno and Sai, only you and Nobu are left," Daigo answered with a sinister smirk.
"I'm tougher than both Xeno and Sai, so the only thing you need to worry about is if I'm stronger than you," Davis smirked, while Daigo also smirked.
"Don't do it Davis, he's crazy," TK said.
Both of you stopped right now." Jaden said, getting in their way.
"Out of my way old man, this is between me and him," Daigo warned.
"I don't think so," Jaden said.
Daigo was about to pull off his knife until a voice called out. "Daigo, let's forget about your ridiculous fight." Kiri called out, getting Daigo to growl.
"We'll fight soon Motomiya, so you better watch your back," Daigo warned before leaving with Kiri,
"What a jerk," Kari frowned.
"Well that's real life for you, remember that." Jaden said.
"Oh trust me, me and Sai know that," Xeno frowned, remembering the real bad slash Daigo gave him, and how Daigo left Sai and his gang members in bad states.
"That's Daigo, a real nut job, think Xeno's bad, Daigo is 20x worse," Davis deadpanned
."Heh, trust me that kid is nothing to what i've seen," Jaden said "To me it's just a child doing a temper tantrum like your friend Xeno."
"What did you say motherfucker?" Xeno seethed.
"And you proved him right big brother…" Xion sighed, shaking her head.
"Thanks for getting rid of Daigo." Davis said.
"You're welcome." Jaden said. "Happy to help my students," he replied before leaving. Jaden then stopped. "Oh yeah, Xeno, I want to tell you something, you're a coward plain and simple as well as a hypocrite. You said that you don't need friends right? Then what do you call Davis as well as your sister and even your partner? If that's not being a hypocrite then you're just a coward." Jaden said as he walked away.
"Coward! Did he just call me a coward?" Xeno frowned.
"He did, but he did bring up a point, you don't see any of us as friends? Not even me?" Yolei asked.
"And even if you do, what about me and your partner Impmon, are we your friends? Because if so then you are a hypocrite when you said that you don't need any." Xion sadly said.
Xeno just looked at everyone and frowned. "I'll see you at home Xion," he said before walking away from everyone.
"Xeno…' Davis uttered softly, he could see that Xeno did care about them, but the pain of what happened 3 years ago was only blinding him to what was right in front of him, but he wouldn't give up on Xeno, not on his best friend, suddenly Kari held his hand making him look at her,
As if she read his mind. "We both won't give up on him," she smiled while Davis smiled back.
"Wait, I just realized something," Cody gasped, gaining everyone's attention. "How did Jaden know Xeno had a partner?"
Everyone's eyes widened, knowing that Cody was right, as they looked in the direction where Jaden had left in wondering what else he knew about them or their partners.

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rain fall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him, before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he look up and saw Kari standing across the street, both digidestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each others eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to
stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, as their crests appeared in the sky above them.
A/N: sorry I haven't updated in a long time, I hope you like this chapter, and how MetalGreymon X and this was an Idea my co write to do a crossover like in tv and movies, i'm going to try to get the next chapter out soon since in this Greymon didn't get capture by Ken, the Soundbirdmon is a digimon from the 2020 remake so the next chapter will be different to it's anime counterpart.
