Check out Naomi's Gift, Melione's Curse by MikaRauch on Wattpad to see an awesome Original Story I am writing. Here is the Synopsis.
Cursed with mortality among a sea of demigod and legacies, Naomi struggles the shine. Desperate to matter, to gain a fraction of the power and influence of her peers, Naomi applies herself to become a heroine unlike any other. One powered by ingenuity and strength of character instead of divinity and nepotism. She seeks the only form of immortality available to mere mortals like her, that which came from being remembered forever in the stories of men. Nothing will get in her way,... except maybe her nephilim brother and those that see that her place was as a breeder for the gods.
Melione on the other hand sought only one thing... freedom. Freedom from the burden of her bloodline and the curse they bore. As the last legacies of Harmonia, they carried the curse of her wedding night and the gifts given to the one time goddess. It was Melione's turn to bear the curse, as her aunt had before her. Desperate to be free, she will do anything to break the curse on her family and finally end the cycle of misery so engrained into her bloodline. It doesn't matter the cost, she was willing to lay it and fight against the child gods who cursed her bloodline so many eons ago.
"Very good guys!" Aaron smiled as the children and legacies of Vulcan slowly built the fountain of the Royal Sea family. Each brick was made of limestone, engrained with seashells like a Nyphaeum. That alone made it radiate subtle sea magic, the kind of power that Neptune was bound to appreciate. It would make it easier for the God in question to bind his magic. "It's looking lovely!"
They had found a random hill, unoccupied by any of the temples, where there was a small natural underground resevoir of water from the River Tiber, and started construction right there. Drilling deep had been a pain, but soon enough they hit water and it was there they started building the Fountian. It was a massive fountian too, the size of a small building, and it had Five main statues. Neptune, Salacia, Triton, Kymopelia ( Aaron had to do some serious research to learn about her), Rhodes and Benthesikyme. He had been sent dreams to the images of each girl and guy, probably by the gods in question, and used his magic to translate those images onto paper for the forgers to craft said image onto stone.
They looked amazing, each statue, and each one had personally blessed by invoking the essence of each god or goddess in question... which a rather unpleasant, especially tapping into Kymopelia, who was a wrathful insane women that wanted nothing but the fear of all beings. He could taste it with his newly found emapthy, it was a struggle to just exist under her power, but somehow he managed to put her essence into the stones that made up her statue.
Rhodes' essence was warm, kind and made him think of the sun. He wondered if Helios' essence, as he was her husband, was present even a little in the form of Sol his Roman self. Benthesikyme was cold and comforting, like a deep crystal clear wave of water that washed across the beach. It was a lovely feeling...
Then there was Salacia, who's essence brought a calm to the agression and power of her son Trition. She was the balm to his everything, a soothing wind that brought peace and calm. He enjoyed channeling her more then any of theirs, though he wasn't dumb enough to say such a thing.
To make the magic of Neptune more... complete, Aaron had them deconstruct the old Shrine and turn it's remains into benches that would sit around the fountain, allowing for people to connect to Neptune and his family all the easier. Those with the blood of the seas and waters came to help with this, there were a lot of them and they were eager beyond measure. They scrubbed the limestone, added their blood to the sacrifical magic he cast onto the fountian pieces, and added their own prayers and chosen sacrifices. A line of denarii, food, and other such offerings were ready to be made and cast into the waters as soon as the fountian was operational.
It was an overall exciting day for Aaron, and one of great success. His title of Priest felt earned, even with his technically taking in the curse of Lyacon and thus almost becoming a monster. There was a power in doing all he could, serving the ungrateful gods and benefiting the mortal beings that lived in Camp Jupiter and New Rome.
"You are doing well, Aaron. I can see why the gods would be eager for your services." Dylan's soft voice drew Aaron from his thoughts. The one time werewolf was climbing the hill toward the fountain with a posse of other dogs, Aaron could taste his pride through their connection. "Do you intend on building us a shrine?" His voice was teasing, slow and low.
"Why, do you want one?"
The Dog laughed. "Not at all, but it is a nice thought, isn't it?"
"Quite."

It was with great pleasure that Octavian finally figured out a path to success. Apollo had told him to mimic Aaron, to steal the traits he needed to bolster Apollo's power. He had been so lost before, but now... now he knew what he had to do! It was so simple...
But where to start...
'His shrine is powerful and bright, but I cannot just suggest they supplant Mars to make Apollo the most important. This must come slowly, naturally, organically less the Romans rebel.'
Contemplating this, Octavian watched Aaron's construction of the Shrine of Neptune, feeling the potent power of the Gods worshiped there radiate outwards. Even from atop Temple hill, surronded by the power of Olympus, he could feel it's power. That was not a good thing, Neptune's place was to be feared, hated, despised... not adored and loved and given a massive Shrine! It bordered on blasphemy, he was stunned the other gods were not rebelling.
Perhaps Neptune bulied them into submission, would make sense for that god...
"Where do I start... I must give Apollo a better Temple, but perhaps I could start by creating a lesser shrine, one dedicated to the Sybilline books? That might do it, all Romans worship that... then I can slip in more worship towards Apollo... this is going to take me some serious time."
:::
It was only when Aaron found himself alone, by the completed Shrine of Neptune, that the god in question appeared to him. It was sudden, he smelled the God's power, that of Salt and Seaweed, before he appeared. The god looked like Percy, only with more Roman features. He looked more like a king, garbed in green robes and a ring of seashells for a crown. In his hand was the trident, radiating the might of storms.
"Thank you, for your service." His voice was deep, but again reminded Aaron of Percy. "I do not have long, so in return for this incredible gift, I have a suggestion. " The God twirled his fingers, creating a miniature storm. "Medea, Calypso, Pasiphae, Circe... all of these god level witches could control the elements, Medea and Calypso excelled with wind spirits on a level comparable to a child of my Brother. Circe is a master of fire, Pasiphae a master of Earth magic. It would behoove you to learn the same, you will need it in the days to come. I foresee as much, should you survive long enough to take part in the final battle."
Aaron bowed. " Thank you, Lord Neptune,... but am I strong enough for such magic?"
The man smiled. "Barely, enough to at least learn the basics...I would start with water. I will allow you to hold domain over the water, so long as you remain respectful. Learn to control this element and so much will be yours. Elemental magic assists with healing, divining the past and future, actual combat and so many other things."
"That is going to be hard, I was told controlling the elements without divine blood requires channeling a spirit like a venti."
"It can, in some cases... which is why I suggested water, you do not need to channel a water spirit to control the water, though you can. Same with Fire and Earth actually. Only wind requires controlling a Spirit, though to maximize your power all Elemental forces requires channeling a spirit for someone like you. A simple truth I am afraid...Telling you this is the least I could do for you... be safe, my child."
"Can you explain why the gods are so much more... talkative with me? I mean I appreciate it, but why me instead of your children?"
The god sighed. "We cannot talk to our children, but we can you who seeks to help our children... it really is that simple." He vanished then, in a swirl of salty wind, leaving Aaron with another monumental task...
Controlling the elements. It seemed any free time had utterly vanished for him...
Lovely.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was beyond fun, even though it was short. It was inspired by Medea from the Trials of Apollo part of the series... I am almost done with those and I love them! I am aiming for a longer chapter next time, but I wanted to put this out there for the mean time since I am not as inspired as usual...
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
