Check out Naomi's Gift, Melione's Curse by MikaRauch on Wattpad to see an awesome Original Story I am writing.

I am also stewing another idea... I want someone to bounce Ideas if you'd be willing to listen. What do you think would happen if a human was experimented on, in the womb, with vampire blood that had been tampered with... what powers would they have? I have so many thoughts...

Flying high in the sky in pigeon form, Aaron used his strong bird eyes to locate the location of the Maze's entrance. Naturally, his guess had been beyond accurate and the Labyrinth was indeed nearby. Or rather an entrance to the Maze was located about three football fields away from the Entrance to New Rome. This was his first time seeing it... situated just inside another tunnel near the Caldecott tunnels, it was currently closed off to Mortal drivers under the pretense of construction work. Aaron had been sent there at that moment to cast some powerful wards to repel monsters, people, and mortals... which was a monumental task all its own. Still, it was a worthy one, a good reason to put off his studies on the duality of the Greek-Roman Split

Landing nearby, he swiftly returned to his true self, glad for the ease in which he manifested this power. The Legionnaires nearby all jumped in shock, their armor clamoring loudly. He laughed at them softly, smiling at Jason and Alex, both of whom were watching the entrance. Only the Fifth Cohort bothered to do anything about the monitoring, the others seeing as beneath them... except for Reyna, who joined them in watching over the Maze's entrance. She was a dedicated one if nothing else. She was also intensely skilled and very powerful, he was glad to have her nearby.

"Howdy... so, any signs of... well, anything?"

Jason nodded. "Twelve monsters have come through, none survived." It was then that Aaron realized how tired they all looked, a wornness oozed around them alongside a sense of fear and accomplishment. "Mostly they were Cyclopes for some reason. We took care of them all."

Alex jumped up, the Little Lar's powerful aura shinning a bright purple. "Yeah, they kicked butt!"

Nodding, Aaron grabbed his pouch and pulled out a paintbrush and some ink. "This is going to take a while. I can't make any mistakes... this ink is made of blood, regular Ink and water from the Little Tiber. It bears the magic of Rome itself and it will be tied to D'Anthony, All of the Centurions, Octavian, and myself. It's why I needed your blood yesterday. Thank Terminus for being a sweetheart and teaching me wards and protective spells, remind me to honor him with a serious sacrifice. We all owe him for this incredible spell."

"I'll keep that in mind," Jason said, smiling.

Reyna nodded, but her eyes narrowed. "Wards are complex magic, difficult to manage. Are you sure you are skilled enough for this?"

"Yes, I am. It is an open ward, one that will scare off anything that comes near. Repelling them with fear, disgust and doubt so strong it will fill them with a sense of panic. I wouldn't have the magic to cast this, but the catalyst of Demigod blood allows me the means to manage such magic." He offered her a smile, appreciating her worries. She had her feet firmly in reality, he respected that. "I confirmed with Pluto if it will work, he assured me it will."

Reyna frowned. "I heard you are dating Lord Pluto." She said it like he contracted Syphillis or something.

Alex on the other hand beamed. "Lord Pluto is really nice, he let me return as a Lars even though I was only a child. I think it's great!"

" I appreciate that, Kiddo." Aaron smiled at Alex, drinking in the boy's kind but powerful aura. "Now, watch my back so I can cast this spell. It will take about half an hour... and I need it to be perfect." Gathering his strength, Aaron grabbed onto his talisman and tapped into Agnes' strength.

"Oooh a ward, difficult magic, I wondered when we'd try one. I willingly give my power for this one." She all but oozed excitement, the challenge of the spell exciting her.

He was glad for that, it made casting the spell all the easier.

Staring on the bottom of the entrance, marked with the mark of Dedalus, he started drawing runes in an arch around the entrace. The magic of the spell, the power of the divine blood echoed around him. He was sure even Jason and Reyna could feel it, their weak magical senses would have been overwhelmed by the potency of such a spell. For one such as him, it was like someone was screaming in his ears. The Mist thickened, the Maze shuddered subtly under his fingers.

"The Maze is pure earthen magic, only an element equal to it's might can hold it back. You must invoke something equal in strength, it cannot be the Earth itself. You must draw on a pure element. It must be an element that can be channeled safely by your mortal form, one that can hold back the Intent of the Maze, it's evil manifesting. Otherwise, the raw magic and lifeforce of the Maze will wash aside any spells you cast." Terminus said, his tone urgent.

Aaron nodded, eagerly jotting down this onto his notes. "Would water work? It is the element I seem best able to manifest."

"That would work, I would add the Little Tiber's water to bolster you spell, but remember to ask before you just take."

"Of course... anything else?"

"Keep your mind strong, less you be overwhelmed by the Maze's malevolence. It has a spirit all it's own and that spirit contains eons of power and hate, drawn from the countless deaths within it and magnified by their lingering regrets. As with necromancy, you must weather the storm of the mind."

Rage, not his own, oozed from the Mark of Dedalus, shooting into him like the cold of brainfreeze. Thankfully he was used to that, what with practicing empathy and necromancy. It was a struggle though, to hold back the raw rage and hate that filled him. He wanted to scream, his skin crawling, his vision turning red, but almost two years of practicing magic made him an expert at managing his emotions. Instead of giving in, he channeled the pain into his magic, bolstering his reserves as he continued to write his runes into the wall of the Tunnel.

After half an hour, he stepped back and raised his hands, and focused on the Blood on the walls. The heady power oozing from the mixture of blood and divine waters, it was with this in mind that he started to chant.

"Potestates sanguinis et vitae essentia. Dico vobis faciem aquae. Lava a qua manent sceleris odium loco isto: quia non derivantur ab illis, fluxus et depellenda uigilemus quaerite ut tandem abutere in virtute. Quasi harena maris tempestates tollunt odio metum et iras permoverent. Sit iram illius invocetur est aqua! Per sanguinem alligatus es: tu autem proiectus es ex aqua!"

Power and Mist gathered around him, charged and drawn by the blood of the gods. Thrusting his hands forward, the magic sank into the ink, the runes glittering with power before they oozed an aura of warning, rage and fear that was palpable. The might of water, the element of change, charged the air. He felt the spellbind to him, via the portion of blood he added to the spell, linking him to it in such a way that he would be alerted to any one leaving the entrance and if the spell broke.

"There, it's done." He coughed then, feeling a wave of weakness overtake him. "Damn that was exhausting." From within his casters bag, he grabbed a bottle and downed it's contents. It was a mere mixture of Unicorn draught mixed with Gatorade, giving him a boost of sugar, electrolytes, and mystical power leveling him off somewhat. once he was stabilized, he turned to the stunned group. They were shaking, even Reyna. "Sorry bout that... but the spell is cast."

Jason smiled, but he looked pale. "It's good, man. Just a bit... odd really. You okay?"

"Yeah, just fine. The spell was exhausting though... so that was a bust, but otherwise, it wasn't too hard." he masked the mental strain that he started to feel from the power of the spell. The effect it had on his mind, where it pressed on his consciousness. It was not a pleasant feeling in the slightest, but he could handle it. "Do you feel it Jason?"

Jason nodded. "Yeah, it's like a string is tied to my mind... it's the strangest thing."

"Good, now... I must rest, after I get back to camp... see you guys later." Turning back into a pigeon, he rushed into the sky and flew back to camp, eager to take a nap.

"NO!" Octavian felt it, but he never believed it. Looking at the remains of the stuffed bear only confirmed it. "Lord Apollo, where... where are you! Why have you forsaken me?" He called out, looking skyward, screaming loudly.

To his shock, the Statue of the Sky Father himself seemed to answer his question. The Great God's voice seemed to echo in his mind. "He was banned from interacting with you or anyone he is bound to by blood, binding your access to his powers. You are no more an augur so long as his punishment lasts."

Octavian stumbled back, shaking and barely holding back the urge to blaspheme. It took all he had to behave. "It must be the Mortal's fault, everything started going down hill when he arrived!" Crazed and wrathful, he turned on heel and marched down the stairs, ready to destroy whomever he had to in order to regain the powers now denied him.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was beyond fun to write.

Powers of blood, the essence of life. I call to you, presence of water. Wash from this place lingering hate, stem the flow and repel those that would seek to abuse the power within. Like the storms of the sea and sand, banish with fear and hate and rage. Let the wrath of the Waters be invoked! By blood you are bound, by water you are cast!

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
