Someone on Reddit, Eeveesan, saw my story when I posted it on a reddit post about Oceanus and she agreed to post the story on Quotev. My only story to get on there... check it out there too if you please. I am so happy for that. Eeveesan

This beginning was awesome to write.

Metis was shaking with pain and pleasure as she sank into the waves, her body aching so terribly but also soothing as she reconnected with the vastness of the worlds ocean. Her lifeforce expanded, and almost immediately she saw her once muscular body slowly regain it's former power and grace. It may take months before she was at full power. She had never been weak, she was the second strongest of her sisters and brothers. Only Styx could surpass her and not by much, and never in combat. In that area, she was unrivaled, though having been able to see through Zeus' eyes as he absorbed her she now knew her daughter was near her equal.

"Thank you, Apollo, Amphirite... I feel so much better." Her aura settled and she now knew she was nowhere near fading. "You honor me with your actions."

Apollo frowned. " How do you know me?"

"I saw things through Zeus' eyes. He is far more powerful than I am and I was in him for so long he was consuming my power. In truth without me empowering him, he is quite a bit weaker." She smirked, happy about that. " Why do you think Athena is so powerful? My daughter carries much of my strength. Thank you for helping her, Dear Niece, even if she is as bad as her father."

Amphitrite smiled at her. " I missed you so much, dear aunt. I remember all of your lessons, the days we spent learning combat and how to act wisely. I could never have forgotten it. I taught much to Posiden, there is a reason he is so good at his job."

Her smirk annoyed Metis. "Not well enough, even from my place in Zeus I felt the pollution of the world's waters." That made her Niece cringe. "Tell me, did any of you try and save me? I risked everything to make a better world for you all, and no one CARED!" She screamed, memories of her agonizing existence rushing through her mind. Memories of being stuck in a tiny form, cramp with her powers being leeched by a man she once loved. Her very essence being corroded away... it was the sheerest of agony and no one fought for her. That last part was the worst of it.

"Mother..."She turned to see her daughter, her form that of a small child, looking at her having materialized during her rage. "I..."

Metis kicked her away, sending her flying back. "YOU DID NOTHING TO SAVE ME!" Her voice broke, her hate overwhelming her. "YOU ABUSED COUNTLESS MORTALS AND GODS ALIKE, YOU SKINNED PERSES FOR NO REASON, YOU TURNED MEDUSA INTO A GORGAN AND HER SISTERS FOR BEING ASSAULTED! YOU TURNED A WOMAN INTO A SPIDER FOR BEATING YOUR WORTHLESS ASS IN WEAVING, SHE HAS TORMENTED YOUR CHILDREN FOR EONS! BUT THE WORST THING, THE THING I WILL NEVER FORGIVE IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO MY GRANDBABIES. YOU SEND THEM TO RETRIEVE YOUR STATUE, COSTING HUNDREDS OF LIVES. YOU ALONE STARTED DOZENS OF WARS OUT OF PETTINESS, YOU HAVE CAUSED MILLIONS OF DEATHS. YOU ARE NOT A DAUGHTER OF MINE, YOU ARE ALL YOUR FATHER!"

Athena shrank more and more with each word, until she was a literal sobbing toddler, but Metis was unmoved. Her niece and Apollo were looking at her, terrified and overwhelmed by her rage.

"Mother... I..." Athena' voice was pitiful, weak and weary, her aura unstable as Metis' will overpower her.

"No Athena, I will never be your mother again. I look at you and all I see is evil. Tell Hera that I will not only take my place on the council, but I fully take your title of Goddess of Wisdom. You are undeserving. I will also be working at Camp Halfblood and Camp Jupiter, it is time someone helps those places." In that moment, Athena and Minerva both screamed, their status as the Goddess of Wisdom being literally torn from their bodies forever. Metis sighed in pleasure, her power expanding as she evolved and healed. "It seems the Fates agree with me... good. They seemed like good girls. Now... begone from me. I will only speak to you in a business manner. You disgust me." She threw her hand at her daughter and Athena faded away, banished by her mother to her temple.

Turning back to her healers, she saw both stunned and terrified. "How?" Apollo asked, stunned. "She is so powerful and you just took her domains..."

"I was old before Rhea married Kronos. I am skilled in all forms of magic. Who do you think taught Hecate? I helped her forge the Mist itself. I taught Prometheus how to play with clay. I spent centuries with the Cyclopes and Heckatonkaries learning to forge and fight. I was not born to my title as Titanness of Wise council and Wisdom. I earned it, daily.

I know how magic works. My will is like iron, I resisted Zeus' mind crushing my own for eons. Taking Athena's domain was effortless, she has grown complacent, too used to be unchallenged. She presumes she is the strongest and smartest, she is not. I can think of many who could effortlessly defeat her in logic, reasoning, tactics, and wisdom. Rhea for one, I owe that bitch by the way. She could have saved me. If she does not make amends, she will fade by my hands. Speaking of fading, Apollo, I will be taking your domains of Truth, Logic and Reasoning." The boy screamed, her will easily taking his over. She grew in strength and felt her powers level until she became Olympian level, barely but there. "I will be taking Justice from Zeus."

Apollo collapsed, shivering, his powers waning. "Why?"

"I know what you have done... So much hate and damage over the eons. Your son Haylcon Green... I could see him through Zeus' eyes. I know he is the reason, or at least a big one, why Luke Castellan went to Kronos. You have much to answer for, Apollo. I will not be complacent. I will change the world, the Gods and Titans alike need my council it seems. I will be cleaning house." Standing tall, she turned and glared at her niece, who quivered before her. "Tell my father I will be in his court soon. He will not serve Kronos. I will be going to Camp Halfblood, to mold those poor children into real warriors. Then, once I recover more, I will be sending a copy to Camp Jupiter."

"You cannot do this!" Apollo cried, only to freeze, his holding his head in agony, golden blood dripping from his eyes.

Metis smirked, a cruel expression across her face. " I told you, I taught Hecate. I know magic better than any of you young gods. I could make you fade if I really wanted to. Your evils, you gods are worse than the Titans. Try me boy, even weakened as I am, you are no match for me. Tell Zeus I will be coming for the title of Goddess of Justice."

Turning on Heel, she vanished, moving her powers to the waters of Camp Halfblood. She walked into it, relishing in the bounty of nature, the power of the Golden Fleece easing her pain and strengthening her. She had been bluffing before, she could not take on Apollo, she was too weak. She needed more time, some worship and some practice. Still, it was a good bluff...

As she approached, she felt the power of the Demigods and Saytrs and smiled, she missed this...life. She missed choice and challenge and the chance to do something valuable. She missed battle and conversation and power. Doing this, being here... it was exactly what she needed!

She reached demigods, who were sitting around and listening to young Aaron weave the tale of her escape from Zeus. They were all eating at the Dining hall, looking awed.

It was only when he finished that she stepped forth, making Chiron gasp. "Metis?" He asked, stunned.

She giggled. "Yes, Chiron. Oh, it has been so long, you look so old, my little love." She relished in the gasps from the others, especially her grandbabies. "Hello to you all. I am Metis, Titanness and Olympian of Wisdom, Wise council, Truth, Logic, Reasoning and eventually Justice as well." She relished in the silence.

Then Annabeth, her most powerful grandchild, stood up. "Um.. Grandma, you weren't the Titanness of those before..."

"Naturally you are right. I took it from Athena and Apollo and Will be taking Justice from my ex-husband."

They all gasped. " How?" They asked as one.

"My will is stronger, my understanding of magic rivals Hecate's and the Fates are on my side. I am a better fit for those domains than anyone who's hate them so far. Now... I will also be working here as well. It was actually my idea to create this camp in the first place, Zeus was absorbing my best ideas for eons. We have a lot to do. I will be teaching combat and magic, Aaron is right there are far too few sorcerers in this world. Annabeth, you will be learning magic directly from me. All of my grandbabies inherited that power from me as well as your blonde hair... oh and don't worry about losing your wisdom, That is part of your essence. Your later siblings will not have it, but you will keep it.

Now... There is a war brewing and a great many changes on the horizon. I expect you all to work your hardest to fight, to not give in to tyranny. You all have so much potential. Should you have to fight, no, but you will have to fight and I will help you become the greatest you can be. All of you!

However, I should also let you know this. I will be accepting baby Cyclopes into this place, they do not deserve to be homeless for no real reason. I will also be organizing, after the war, Mortals and Legacies to come here. A great many heroes, such as Jason and Odysseus and Perseus and even the Witch Medea come from a line of Old Heroes. If it wasn't for legacy blood, Hercules and Dionysius would never have been so powerful. Aaron here has shown how powerful mortals can be, his power is comparable if not greater than even a child of the Big Three! I will send out a call and we will turn this camp into the true powerhouse it is... Chiron. Bunker Nine will be used starting now."

Chiron gaped. "Really?"

"Yes, child. It is a vast resource and we need it now."

"Very well, my lady..."

"Good. Now, I will be your Codirector alongside Chiron. I am not blast happy like my idiot successors. I will never hurt a child, so feel free to come to me with anything. I swear by Styx to take care of you eternally." The world thundered, her sister's great power filling the world. "Now... where do I sit? I am quite famished, I haven't eaten in almost five thousand years."

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This was really, really fun to write. I really wanted to expand Metis, to make her as important as she could have been... to explain why Athena was so powerful...

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
