The search for Jebediah and Sigyn begins.

Differences mentioned in this chapter: All of it. T_T

The Quinjet flew through the sky, Ariana guiding it through the clouds expertly. Loki and Thor talked in hushed whispers. Wanda felt like an outsider with the Gods and went to talk to her chosen sister-Goddess.

"So, they won't tell me what's going on, сестра - sestra," Wanda said. "Why did you bring me with you if you weren't going to tell me anything?"

Ariana glared back at her fiance and his brother as she said, "They won't tell me what they're hiding either. But we are dealing with Loki's ex-fiance and my stalker ex-boyfriend. We know they are in the ruins of Sokovia."

"Okay, but that doesn't tell me what's going on. Why are we looking for them?"

"Because my ex is the Iron Menace and it was Loki's ex that freed him from SHIELD custody. We are going to kick their asses and send them to the Raft."

"So, why me? Why not Steve or Stark?"

Arianna sighed. "We need to fight magic with magic. Sigyn is an enchantress. You can nullify her powers, Thor will take on the Iron Menace armor, and Loki and I will deal with them in the end. We have to deal with our mistakes."

Loki and Thor's heads snapped to Ariana. They hadn't told her of the prophecy, yet she seemed to know what needed to be done. They joined the women in the front of the jet.

"You seem sure of this, my queen," said Loki.

"We need to do it this way," Ariana said.

She put the jet on autopilot and stood up. She looked at Loki and Thor. A smile graced her lips and Loki shook his head, fighting her own smile. He knew what she was going to do.

"Oh, Thor," she said, drawing out each word.

"Yes, sister?" he asked, recognizing the look on her face as one Loki would get when he was planning something.

"You seem to be keeping secrets." She walked up to him, her smirk growing and her hands clasped behind her back. "And I know you wouldn't keep important things from me, right…" she looked up at him, a glint to her eye that made Loki want her more than he already did, "big brother?"

Thor gulped. It was the first time she had ever called him that. She made him both nervous and excited with that statement. He started backing away from the deceptively innocent woman following after him.

"W-well," he stammered, "I'm not r-really…"

She managed to get him backed up against a wall and said, "But I thought you would trust me enough to tell me anything. And I thought I could ask you anything if I needed my big brother."

"And you can, sister."

"So, what are you keeping from me?"

"Oh, nothing. Certainly not a prophecy."

"A prophecy?" She straightened. "I see."

"Ariana," Loki said, "you know Thor is an…"

Wanda hid a smile. She was enjoying what Ariana was doing. She watched Ariana turn towards the God of Mischief, changing tactics for her beloved.

"What is the prophecy, Loki?" she asked.

"Why would you want to know what someone long gone from this life said?"

"But my king, this is information that could keep me safe." His eyes darkened, a sign that her ploy was working. "And you always want to keep me safe." She turned away, sadness pouring off of her. "Or… I thought my king wanted that."

"And I do." He turned her to him and pulled her into his arms, her face buried in his chest. "I want nothing more than you to be out of danger."

"So why are you keeping things from me?" She gripped his shirt, her voice wobbling. "I thought we were past keeping secrets, my king."

"My queen, I…"

"Secrets almost tore us apart before, Lo. Please, I don't know if I can do that again."

Loki sighed. "It only said we have to face mistakes of our past to move into the future. There was nothing else to it. But I fear that this is the battle where that prophecy comes true."

"Why?"

"Because the Book of Prophecies in Asgard showed a confrontation with Sigyn and the Iron Menace. I had hoped to stop the prophecy from occurring so that you would not have to be in danger."

Ariana stepped back and looked up at him, her smirk back. "I see. So you thought you would keep all the fun to yourself."

He chuckled. "You not once uttered a lie, yet you were able to twist the truth. Are you sure we should not be called the Goddess of Mischief?"

"That was low, sister," said Thor, clenching his fists.

"So was using illusions to win bets, yet you still come to me when you need me for fun and battles," Ariana pointed out.

Thor sighed as Wanda and Loki laughed. They all knew Thor would always trust Ariana and Loki. He loved them both. No matter the tricks they played on him, he would always turn to them when he needed them.

FRIDAY chimed through, saying, "Miss Stark-Tonysdottir, we are nearing the Ruins of Sokovia."

"Thank you, FRIDAY," said Ariana, sitting back down, before looking back at the others. "Get strapped in. We will be landing in a minute."

Wanda joined the boys and said, "You both are wrapped around her little finger. And you both should know better than to try and hide things from Ari."

"True," said Thor. "Sister is very perceptive."

"My queen is certainly the best," replied Loki.

"And hiding the prophecy from her led us to this point," said Thor. "We should have told her as soon as we knew. We may not have been able to avoid this, but we could have helped her."

They looked at Ariana. She looked relaxed, but Loki knew that she was tense by how white her knuckles were. The jet landed and they exited to what remained after the attack by Ultron.

"This place was devastated," said Ariana, Wanda putting her arms around her. "Loki and I should have been here from the beginning. We could have…"

"No, Ultron would have still caused this," said Wanda. "You helped when we needed you."

"We could have done more."

"You could have saved my family," said Zemo.

Ariana turned to him and growled, "How did you get out of prison?"

"The Falcon and the Soldier needed me, but I took a detour to say goodbye."

"You wanted to ruin our family with that damn tape! But we came back, stronger than ever!" She pulled out her hair stick and donned on her Asgardian armor. "We built a new empire, Zemo."

"I was away when they needed me, trying to get rid of the super soldiers I feared. The Winter Soldier was the prime example of what I was afraid of. I wanted to rid the world of them… of you."

"Yes, the things given to us make us stronger and scarier, but that is why we mustn't let more be made. Zemo, the only super soldiers in existence should be all there are. We can agree on that. You went about it the wrong way. You helping Bucky and Sam, that is a good thing, but that doesn't change the people you killed."

"I know. But I must say, you make a good goddess."

"Do you at least know where we can find the Iron Menace and Sigyn, a woman with fiery red hair and dark eyes?"

"The far side of Sokovia. Good luck… Avengers."

Zemo walked off. Ariana watched him until he disappeared before turning. "Let's go. We have a bitch and an asshole to fight."
