"Zeke and Ye Shall Find" Total Drama: All-Stars Improved - Episode 10
(Narration from Chris) "Last time on Total Drama: All-Stars! Alejandro was pretty upset about the elimination of his pal Justin at the hands of Jo, but Jo seemed to have other plans. She suggested Alejandro join her alliance, but he seemed to be pretty on the fence about that decision. Considering how it'd be with someone responsible for your friend's elimination, I'd say that's reasonable! At the challenge, the Heroic Hamsters had to water ski across the lake while picking up ten flags, while the Villainous Vultures would shoot golf balls at them to try and stop them. It was close, but ultimately, Zoey pulled through for her team, while Dawn couldn't do the same on her team out of fear of hurting her friends! Cameron did talk some sense into her later, so maybe it all worked out, who knows? And at the elimination, Dawn was supposed to be eliminated, but since she had an Invincibility Idol thanks to some help from Zoey, Anne Maria ended up getting the boot for slacking off during the challenge! She seemed to take it pretty well though… Now it's time for our real 100th episode! Yep, this one is the big one, without any Aftermaths or specials! Wonder what'll happen for such an important occasion? Only one way to find out, and that's by seeing this episode of Total! Drama! All-Stars!"
After the intro, the episode starts deep in the same cave Izzy was in in the previous episode. A mysterious, shadowy figure shuffled through the cave while groaning, before placing one of its sickly green feet towards the light. The camera pans up and reveals feral Ezekiel, who seemed to have been hiding in this cave and waiting for a good time to exact his revenge on a certain somebody for driving him to insanity. He let out a groan before shuffling back into the cave, where he would soon find some toxic waste from the previous season stored there. He started cracking a sinister smirk as he gazed upon the strewn barrels, and the scene cut to him pouring them into a giant vat with intent on submerging Chris in it, and also constructed some wooden cages in case anyone else tried to stop him. Once he was finished, he let out a happy grunt and left to find the host who ruined his life, as the screen faded to black.
Things faded back in to show the woods of the island, during what was a particularly rainy day. The camera then slowly panned over until the Spa Hotel was in view, however nearly glazed over by the gray, misty atmosphere.
Cameron had woken up a few minutes ago and was watching the rain outside, with his friend Mike eventually noticing him and walking towards him. He stopped as they both just stared out the window at the inclement weather. "Not looking so great out right now, huh?"
"Not really," Cameron sighed, "But I'm sure the show will go on anyway. It'll probably be hard for me though, since my glasses would not deal well with the rain…"
"Have you ever considered wearing contacts?"
"I used to wear them, but they irritate my eyes, so I just prefer wearing my glasses." He wiped them off with his shirt before getting up and saying, "We should probably join the rest of our team in the buffet. Brick did say it's not a good idea to do physical activity on an empty stomach…"
"Makes sense to me," Mike said as he and Cameron left the room to join their teammates.
Back outside, Owen was racing through the heavy storm trying to make it to the Spa Hotel, and he was going surprisingly fast, considering his less-than-stellar history with physical activity. He hurried up to the stairs, and found the front doors to be locked, so he had to charge forward and bust the doors down.
Meanwhile, the Heroic Hamsters (with Cameron and Mike) were all eating and talking amongst themselves at the buffet before Owen burst through the door, soaking wet, to tell them something.
"Owen! What are you doing here?" Gwen asked as she looked up.
Owen was nearly out of breath from all the running. He was panting, telling everyone what was going on. "Chris wanted me to show you guys something for the challenge today," Owen pulled out his smartphone and played a video with Chris for the team. "Good morning, final thirteen!" said the host, "And great job making it to the big One-Double-0! That's right, everybody, it's our official 100th episode!" The video then showed a banner rolling down to show a big number '100' with confetti falling down. Chris blew into a party blower, before continuing, "To celebrate, today's challenge is gonna be"- But before he could finish his sentence, he noticed something was a bit off nearby. "Hang on, what the heck is that?" he said to himself. He walked over to examine what was going on, but all that could be heard was some groaning and the sound of something hitting someone's head before the camera turned off.
The Hamsters all gasped, as the video confused them a fair deal. "What happened to Chris?" Lindsay asked.
"If I had to guess, he's probably just being all theatrical like he is for the challenge, because I'd know about stuff like that," Zoey shrugged as she continued eating some french toast.
"I was sure we'd all be used to it by now," Cameron added.
They would both soon turn out to be wrong, however, as Chef would barge into the hotel and shout, "EMERGENCY MEETING OUTSIDE! STAT!" The Hamsters worriedly left the buffet and went outside, where the Villainous Vultures were also waiting.
It was still pouring down hard. Zoey was standing just inside the doorway with a nervous look on her face. "Uh, what's wrong, Molly?" A nearby Lindsay asked.
"I don't think this rain's good for my hair since, well, I actually dyed it," Zoey explained.
"Ohhh! I bleached my hair a while back, so at least we have something in common!"
Zoey said nothing else as she slowly made her way outside, pouting as more of her hair dye was washed off her naturally brunette hair, but knowing she could apply some more later, she just shrugged and went with her team to hear what Chef had to say.
Once the Hamsters arrived, Chef started announcing on a megaphone, "Listen up, everyone! We have a situation! You all saw that video Owen showed you on his phone, is that correct?"
"Yeah, we saw it a few minutes ago," Duncan pointed out from his team, yelling against the raging downpour.
"We did, too," Mike chimed in towards him.
"Yeah? Well, bad news," the co-host continued to explain, "After he got knocked out, we haven't been able to find him anywhere on the island! So, new challenge! Find Chris, and bring him back to me!"
"Hang on," Mike said as he raised an eyebrow. "Why are we even looking for him when all of us know for a fact that he wouldn't care if this same thing happened to one of us?" Everybody else started nodding in agreement.
"No host, no prize, boy! Now get lookin'!" Chef barked.
(Confessional: Alejandro)
"Honestly, Mike does bring up a fair point. It was thanks to Chris' sheer irresponsibility and narcissism that I was burned alive and nearly killed at the end of season three, so why should I help him? Well, he did pay my medical bills after my parents sued him to oblivion, so I guess there's that, but still…"
(End confessional)
"Vultures!" Jo announced to her team, "As your self-appointed captain, we need a strategy for this challenge!"
"Oh really?" Heather asked sardonically, "And what makes you qualified to be in charge?"
"Well, no one else volunteered, so I figured it'd be best if I led this team!" The Jockette explained.
"Hey, if anyone can lead this team, it should be me! I was the original villain of this show! I was a finalist! I should be the team captain!" Heather moaned.
"Quit crying, ya big baby! We got a challenge to do, so how about you attempt a coup on our team after we find Chris?" Duncan complained.
Heather signed and said, "Whatever, now where would that slimy jerk be…"
Back in the cave, Ezekiel had tied Chris up to a stalactite above a vat of toxic waste. Chris woke up with a wicked headache and said to himself, "Ugh, where the heck am I?" before noticing who was responsible for him being there. He was terrified. "Is that… no, it can't be…"
Ezekiel simply let out an animalistic screech at the host, drawing the attention of both teams.
Outside, the Villainous Vultures heard this, with Jo telling Dawn, "Dawn, use your magic powers or whatever to see if there's anyone in that cave over there!"
Dawn put her left hand on her head while pointing her right arm towards the cave. "Yes! Chris and… Something else… Are in that cave."
"What is this 'something else' you speak of, chiquita?" Asked a nearby Alejandro.
Dawn widened her eyes in shock. "No," she warned, "someONE else…"
Back in the cave, Ezekiel has already climbed up to the rope holding Chris and began lowering it ever so slowly. "Hey, now hang on! Let's talk about this, man!" Chris said nervously. "Alright, fine, that might be a little hard given your current state, but do you really want these campers' hard work this season to be for nothing again? Besides, I'm, like, way too beautiful to die! And also, like, 36 is just too young an age to die at, dude!"
Ezekiel paused and pulled Chris up to his face. The Homeschooled Weirdo grunted at the host before spitting on his face. "Uuuugh!" Chris screamed, "Not the face, man! Gross!"
But Ezekiel was far beyond recognizing Chris' emotions of disgust and fear. All he wanted was for him to be gone. He returned to lowering the rope, with Chris worriedly sputtering, "Okay, seriously dude, can we actually just talk about this? Yeah, yeah, I know you just ruined some thousand-dollar makeup, but, like, if you stop, I promise I'll finally pay off your medical bills!"
But Ezekiel just kept lowering him down to his certain doom. The camera cut to a close up of his face, staring Chris down as the host reflected in the feral teen's bloodshot eyes. All Chris could do now was scream. "Heeelllllp!"
But right as Chris' face was hovering only a few inches from the acid, both teams rushed towards Ezekiel. Brick called out, "Stop right there, criminal scum!" while Heather cried, "Hey, we heard him first!" She was about to keep shouting, but stopped dead in her tracks. "Wait…" She tried to look closer. Ezekiel's figure was but a silhouette as he clung to the rope. Heather gasped as the camera smashed in on her face. "That's…"
Before anyone knew it, Ezekiel jumped down from the rope and revealed himself to everybody.
"Zeke?!" The contestants all cried out, except for Dawn. "I told you all that's who was in here!" She said smugly. "Maybe I can try talking to him…"
Dawn approached the feral beast, who was giving off a low growl. She held her right arm out. "Ezekiel," the girl said in a soft tone, "Listen to me. I know you didn't want this to happen to you. I myself find it unimaginable that an innocent soul like yourself ended up in this state solely through sheer unwillingness to accept your fate."
Ezekiel stared on at the Aura Whisperer as she came closer to him. "But I know that the real you, the real Ezekiel Jebediah Miller, is still in there somewhere. So please, even if Chris may mistreat us, don't do this to him."
Ezekiel started lurking towards Dawn, shuffling around the girl while making weird groaning noises. He eventually made eye contact with her, finally finding someone who was truly able to reason with him and glanced back at Chris, who shouted, "Can someone get me down? Please?"
But even if Dawn could get through to him, Ezekiel looked to the ground in spite. A small puddle of the acid was sizzling on the cave floor, he looked into it, only to see a reflection of his former self. He shook his head and grunted a few times, which Dawn translated as, "I KNOW ME IS THE REASON FOR WHY ME IS LIKE THIS, BUT HE NO HELP ME WHEN HE HAD TIME. I NO GET ANYTHING OUT THIS SHOW. NOW I DESTROY HIM."
When Ezekiel finished groaning to Dawn, he pushed her back towards her team and jumped back up to the ropes holding the cages, cutting them and trapping both teams in the process.
(Confessional: Dawn)
"I really thought that would work… But I suppose not all problems can be solved with my abilities."
(End confessional)
The Hamsters began to worry after getting trapped. "Crap! How are we gonna get out of here?" Tyler asked his teammates.
"I don't know," Cameron responded, "But I'm sure we'll figure something out!"
Back in the Vultures' cage, which was relatively close to the Hamsters', Duncan shouted, "Hey, dorkwad! Maybe you should figure out how to get with a girl who doesn't screw us over like this!"
Cameron quickly became pretty disgruntled by this, and he retorted, "Dawn was only trying to reason with Ezekiel! She's the only person here who could've made that sort of connection with him!"
"If she could do that, then why'd Zeke trap us in these cages? Besides, I got off parole a long time ago!"
Dawn stepped in and said, "He said something about wanting to take revenge on Chris for not intervening on him stowing away in his airplane two seasons ago…"
"Shut up, I'm talking to your boyfriend, not you!" Duncan paused and increasingly became more angry. "Hang on, how could you even like him to begin with? He's a scrawny little dweeb with glass bones and paper skin!"
"That doesn't matter!" Dawn snapped, "Cameron is the nicest, most understanding person I've ever met!" Tears began to leak from her eyes as she continued, "Honestly, Duncan, when I ran into you during the fifth challenge, I thought you could be different. Cameron changed for the better, why can't you just regret your poor behavior and become a better person for everyone here. I guess I was too naïve to know any better."
Duncan's eyes widened when Dawn brought up the interaction they had where Duncan revealed his past and even cried in front of her, but he knew he'd gone too far now in insulting her boyfriend, so he turned away and scowled, even if some regret could be seen in his facial and body language. He soon punched against the wooden bars of the cage with his fist, somehow breaking it in the process. This impressed the rest of his teammates, but before they knew it, Duncan had wriggled out of the cage and stormed towards the Hamsters.
"What are you doing?" Zoey asked the Delinquent, furious at the way he treated her friends.
"Teaching this pipsqueak not to mess with me!" Duncan cried as he began lifting up on the cage holding them down.
(Confessional: Mike)
"I mean, he's freeing us, but I can't imagine what'll happen with him and Cam… Actually, I can, and it looks pretty ugly."
(End confessional)
Cameron put his hands back against the cage to prevent Duncan from reaching him. "Duncan, stop it! You're acting extremely irrational!"
"Oh, I'm acting irrational?" Duncan snarled, "Then why are you stopping your teammates from escaping?"
He didn't notice, however, that Mike, Zoey, and Brick had already crawled out of the cage to help. While Brick threw over the cage and ran to save Chris, Zoey grabbed hold of Duncan's arms and restrained him, with Mike transforming into Chester due to being overwhelmed by what was happening. "Can you darn kids quit your yammerin'?" He complained, "Back in my day, if someone got you out of somethin' like that, you'd have yourself a best friend for life!"
"Shut up, you weirdo!" Duncan barked as he swung his feet towards Mike/Chester and kicked him in his groin. "Owww!" He cried out in pain, "What in the Sam Hill is wrong with you, boy?"
Duncan freed himself from Zoey's grip and stormed towards Cameron to grab him, but the former bubble boy held his arms out in defense before the Delinquent could do anything. "Get your hands off me, you punk!" Cameron scolded him as the two were going head to head, until Duncan punched Cameron in his stomach before shoving him to the ground. Dawn had also left her team's cage and cried out, "For the love of Mother Earth, stop it!"
"Why should I?" Duncan growled as he put Cameron in a chokehold, "Everyone knows me as a mean, brooding bad guy! If I can't be anything else, then I mind as well give you all what you wanna see from me!"
"But we don't want to see this from you, Duncan! None of us do!"
Back in Vulture's cage, Jo said to the rest of her teammates, "I dunno, this is kinda interesting."
Meanwhile, Mike pulled out a fedora and transformed into Manitoba to pull Duncan away from Cameron. "'Right now, ya bogan, I think we all know what you're trying to get at here, so why don't ya do yourself a favor and get the bloody 'ell on outta 'ere?"
"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?" Duncan asked with a venomous inflection in his voice. To respond, Mike/Manitoba scooped up a good-sized clump of dirt and chucked it at Duncan's face. The Ex-Convict yelled as he dropped Cameron to wipe his eyes. Once he could see again, however, he opened his eyes to Cameron forming a fist and clocking him right in the face before tackling him to the ground.
While all of this was happening, Owen and Chef (who was holding what looked like a dog kennel) arrived to get Chris to safety. Chef noticed Brick holding down Ezekiel as he twitched and screamed while biting at the Military Cadet and rushed towards him, plucked Ezekiel from his hands, and shuffled him into the kennel while Owen untied Chris' ropes and got him back on his feet. "Took ya long enough," Chris said sarcastically, with Owen shooting him a dirty look. Chris stared at him for a second and said, "Uh, I mean, thanks?"
"Whatever," Owen shrugged, "I just feel like something's missing from all of this…"
Before he knew it, Izzy emerged from deeper in the cave. "Oh, hey guys! Didn't know you were here! What'd I miss?" She said to everyone, before noticing the fight breaking out between Duncan and Cameron, Dawn crying while curled into a fetal position, and the rest of the competitors (including the Vultures, who had also escaped their cage) standing around awkwardly, yet mortified. Owen rushed towards Izzy and told her, "A lot, actually, but at least you're alright, Izzy!"
When the scene went back to Cameron and Duncan's brawl, the former was actually doing quite a number on his current adversary. He was throwing punches and kicks left and right, and even grabbed Duncan's neck and slammed him against the cave wall.
As Chef was about to close the door to the kennel, Ezekiel let out one last ear-piercing screech, which echoed across the cave and caused the rocks and stalactites in it to begin falling. Cameron got up from Duncan after this happened, but was simply pushed aside as everyone else began panicking and trying to rush to safety. "Are you okay, Cam?" Zoey asked the Former Bubble Boy as he adjusted his glasses.
"Mhm," he said, although a bit wearily.
"We have to get out of here!" Mike exclaimed. He, Zoey, and Cameron soon caught up with everyone else, who were all running towards the outside world behind Chris, Chef, and Owen, the latter of the three carrying Izzy on his shoulder. Some of the contestants struggled, as Heather had to pluck a rock from her sandals while Lindsay had a hard time running in the boots she was wearing, but one person would soon come to struggle more than everyone else.
Cameron was obviously winded from running due to his poor physical condition, but he kept going since he wanted to make it to safety with everyone else. But after accidentally tripping on a slightly bigger rock, several large stones fell from the cave with Cameron being buried beneath them, outside of one of his arms on the outside holding his glasses, which fell off his face as he tripped. After this, the cave-in seemed to have stopped, but now a new problem arose in Cameron being stuck beneath a pile of stones.
Immediately after this happened, Dawn turned around to discover what happened and was immediately mortified. "CAMERON!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, racing towards the pile of stones and trying to lift them one by one to make sure her lover was alright. Soon enough, the rest of the Heroic Hamsters joined her in trying to free Cameron.
The Vultures watched everything from the sidelines, not wanting to intervene and make things even more tense. An incredibly battered Duncan, however, was feeling horrible for himself after what he did to Cameron and his three closest companions. He looked at the struggling boy, when his mind suddenly started morphing the figure from Cameron into Harold, and then Nigel, the boy who was at the very start of his bullying spree.
Duncan shut his eyes, and slowly approached the rubble to join the rest of the Hamsters in freeing Cameron. Dawn glanced at him, seeing the pain and regret in his eyes, but said nothing and continued to pick up the stones encapsulating Cameron before he was finally unearthed. His eyes were closed and he wasn't breathing, concerning everyone around him. Dawn placed her index and middle fingers on his wrist to check for a pulse, eventually announcing, "Cameron's alive. He's just unconscious right now."
Owen rushed by Cameron's teammates and said, "I'll get him to the infirmary!" He quickly picked up Cameron and army-carried him out of the cave and into the pouring rain, with everyone (particularly Duncan) feeling relieved, but still concerned.
The scene then cuts to later that evening, where it had finally stopped raining. The same people who helped free Cameron anxiously waited outside the infirmary. No one said anything, only awkward stares were exchanged. Duncan was there, too, although he stood quite a distance from everyone else. Eventually, Dawn turned towards him and asked, "Why did you help us? Even after you attacked Cameron?"
Duncan let out a heavy sigh, knowing how much he had affected the people around him with his behavior. "I… I-I wasn't… thinking straight… at that moment. I was so… Frustrated by what was going on, and the only person I thought I could channel that all in was Cameron, since he seemed like a perfect example of the kind of person I'd usually pick on." Everyone was looking towards him as he continued, "But I know he meant so much to you guys, and I saw that happen to him, and I thought for a moment that he was dead…" He started to clearly choke up. "And now I know that I… I… I messed up." By that point, he had fallen to his knees and began sobbing, and everyone started to understand what was going through his head by then.
Dawn stepped forward and kneeled towards Duncan, putting her right hand on his shoulder. "I've been studying psychology for several months now, so I fully understand how you feel, Duncan," she said as he looked up towards her. "What you did was wrong, but given how hard your life has been up to now, it only makes sense as to why you'd end up going to such extreme measures."
Duncan was still sniffling. "But I've gone so far down this path, and it's probably too late for me to change by this point."
"I know, but it's always important to start somewhere," Dawn said before pulling Duncan in for a hug, surprising everyone as he bawled into her shoulder. "It's okay, Duncan," she said, "Just let it all out."
After Duncan had finished crying, Owen came out of the infirmary with Cameron on a wheelchair. He had been awake for some time now, and had the top of his head all bandaged up while his left arm and his right leg had large casts. "I heard everything from in the infirmary," he said. "And yes, Duncan. I forgive you."
This surprised Duncan a fair deal. "You do?" he asked.
"Dawn was right, it may be hard to improve from your wrongdoings, but we all have to start somewhere, and hopefully everyone here will be able to see more of that from you soon." Cameron explained in a somewhat tired but still genuine tone.
"Actually, no, they won't," said Duncan. "I'm quitting." Everyone gasped upon hearing this, but he then explained, "I just don't wanna cause any more trouble around here, so I think it'll be best if I just left the show altogether to get myself back in check. Dawn, thanks for being able to still see the tiny bit of good in me, and good luck to the rest of you."
Chris and Chef stood nearby, with Chris asking Duncan, "You sure you wanna do this, dude?"
Duncan turned towards Cameron, Dawn, Mike, and Zoey, with Dawn nodding at him. He nodded back and turned towards the hosts again, simply saying, "Yeah, I'm sure."
"Well, who are we to deny someone their final request? Chef, escort Duncan to the Sling of Shame, will ya?"
The scene then cuts to Duncan getting himself into the slingshot without Chef forcing him to. Everyone else, even the Vultures who were originally waiting in their cabin, came to see him get sent off. He didn't say anything, and instead threw up a peace sign before flinging himself into the horizon.
Chris then arrived with Owen to give some news to Cameron. "So, because of what happened to you today, we're gonna have to have you medically evacuated from the show." Chris explained.
Cameron shrugged and said, "I figured. Well, I'd assume I'll have to get into the slingshot too, correct?"
"As much as I wanted that to be the case, the producers gave us a big thumbs-down on that since, well, that could get you even more injured and could even kill you, so we're gonna take the more lame option and have you and Owen leave on the old Boat of Losers instead."
Dawn became angry at Chris for his seeming disregard for what had happened to Cameron. "What is wrong with you?" She scolded, "Were you wanting him to die?"
Chris nonchalantly shrugged and continued, "Not really, I doubt that'd be very good for the ratings…"
Dawn's blood was boiling by this point. "Wow, I never thought you could sink any lower, but here we are now. Christopher McLean," she turned towards the host, "You are one sick (censored)." Everyone was shocked by Dawn's sudden profanity, but she turned and said, "What? It's not like he didn't have it coming!"
Later, Owen pushed Cameron's wheelchair across the Dock of Shame, but stopped so he could say goodbye to his friends. "Guys," he said to Mike, Zoey, and Dawn, "I want you to keep going and not let me being gone deter you from winning."
"We can do that for ya, bud," Mike said as he patted Cameron on his shoulder.
"Thanks for being a great friend as always," Zoey said to the Former Bubble Boy, "Get better for us, Cam."
Dawn then stepped towards Cameron with her hands behind her back. "There's something I wanted to give you before you left."
"Oh? What is it?" Cameron asked.
Dawn then revealed to Cameron the same rabbit the two of them freed from a bush not too long ago. "I found him in the forest earlier, and I think it'd be nice if you had something to remind you of us while you're away."
Cameron's tearing eyes lit up upon seeing the rabbit. "Thank you, Dawn," he said, as he picked up the bunny from her hands, "I'll take good care of him."
After the two depressedly stared at each other for another moment, Dawn pulled Cameron in for one last passionate kiss. After which, the former said, "Goodbye, my love."
"Goodbye, Dawn," Cameron responded. "And thanks again for everything."
Owen was silently ugly crying behind them, but he wiped off his eyes and said to Cameron, "Alright, buddy, let's get you home." He wheeled Cameron across the gangplank and placed him on the Boat of Losers, with Izzy already sitting there and quietly waiting for them, but the three soon noticed a familiar face also there. "Huh? What are you doing here?" Owen asked this person.
"Oh yeah, and one more thing," Chris then announced. "Since Cameron had to be medically evacuated from the game, we're having someone else join in his place. Come on out!"
A familiar contestant stepped off the boat and began walking towards everyone else, with the first thing he said to them being, "Uh, hey, everyone!" The "someone else" turned out to be none other than…
"Cody!?" Everybody exclaimed.
"Yeah, the one and only Cody is in the game now!" Chris then announced. "And he's joining you, Hamsters! Get used to him being here!"
Cody stepped towards his new team and said to them, "Sorry about what happened to Cameron, he seemed like a really nice guy…"
"Yeah," Mike then said to the Geek, "But we're gonna keep going strong, because I know for a fact that's what he'll want from us. Am I right, everyone?"
"Yeah!" The rest of the Hamsters said in agreement.
Cody looked on at his new team, when his eyes landed on Gwen. She noticed, and gave him a smile. Of course, he had to smile back. "Well," Cody proclaimed, "Let's hope for the best!" And with that, both teams returned to their cabins.
Chris then stepped towards the camera and said, "Wow, that sure was something! Two campers are down for the price of one, and Cody E.J. Anderson is now a member of our mostly all-star cast! Not my ideal way of celebrating our 100th episode, but at least no one got hurt! Well, Cameron got hurt, but not me! And that's what's important here on Total! Drama! All-Stars!

NOTES FROM AUTHOR: Whoo boy, that was a juicy one! But now I'm sorta going more towards the canon show with this being the episode where Cameron leaves! Of course, I wrote Mal out of this version, and I feel it'd be a bit too hard if Jo got him maimed instead. While she is the main antagonist here and while I am still writing her as an arrogant bully, she won't be going to the same extremes as the likes of Mal or Scarlett. She's just kind of a jerk who happens to have good social skills. Also, I know it's kinda weird how I developed Duncan quite a fair deal in this episode only to have him quit (which was actually a last-minute choice I made), but I felt like him quitting out of regret for his actions seemed like a good decision for him to make if he wants to redeem himself. Plus, we're still gonna have the Aftermaths, so who knows what'll happen there…
Also, for why I chose to have Cody join in Cameron's place, it was for two main reasons. He was the only character to have previously made it to third place that wasn't in the story from the start, and I wanted him to have an arc that didn't involve being harassed by Sierra. Of course, he's happy she's trying to clean up her act, but his experience with her would serve as a massive wake-up call for the way he interacts with other people, particularly with Gwen since he did frequently simp for her in Island. Man, this story's just full of redemption arcs, isn't it?
Thanks for reading this chapter/episode, and I look forward to bringing you what the team and I have in store!
