Paris, end of day. The sirens went off. A squadron of Death Gliders flew over the city and fired at will. The people leaving the garden at the Eiffel Tower after enjoying it screamed and ran in all directions, terrified. A few of the Death Gliders came back over the garden and fired again, wounding and killing more people. A blast hit the tower. The French armed forces and police on site retaliated with anti-aircraft weapons, assault rifles, and machine guns; and covered the civilians running away. Other people of the army and the police guided these civilians and those who hadn't left their apartment on time. Indeed, the buildings in the area were no longer safe places. The Gliders targeted lots of them, windows broke, clouds of smoke and dust rose. Mayhem broke out in many parts of the city. Mayhem broke out in many parts of the globe, like in...

… Tokyo, night. Sirens going off. Ambulances and fire trucks rushing everywhere. People running below alien ships. People falling. People targeting the alien ships with cannons and missile launchers. A glimmer of hope when a light missile hit a Death Glider. The fighter craft ended its trip into a skycraper, provoking an explosion and a fire. Shouts of victory rose from the street where the soldiers had launched the missile. Unfortunately, a Tel'tak appeared in the sky and bombarded the small outpost, wiping it out. Then, it transferred a group of Jaffas on the street. The group met people trying to escape the chaos. They fired. They weren't the only ones on the ground because in another country...

Cheyenne Mountain.

… Somewhere else over Colorado, USAF fighter jets were striking back. A jet eliminated a Death Glider. The pilot, a man in his forties, gave a status into his microphone, "Peterson, Delta 1 speaking! We neutralized five alien ships! Lost Delta 3! Crap–" The pilot avoided a shot from an alien. A Tel'tak changed its direction and fired at the pilot's aircraft, while flying to it.
"Major Elliot?!" General Mitchell called into the microphone, in the control room. He obtained no response. He glanced at the officer standing next to him, Major Johnson. The two men could only exchange worried looks. The young woman at the control panel called Delta 1, Delta 2, and Delta 4 into her headset. No response. She, Mitchell, Johnson, and other operators nearby looked at a screen showing the fleet's position. Sadly, they saw the remaining three small green circles disappearing one by one.
Like on that Tok'ra planet, in another life, Elliot gave his. Now, a miracle was needed. Cameron Mitchell hoped that Aiden Ford and his team would be able to take down motherships.
