The plate had to be changed completely, it was completely calcined and melted, it was a headache to remove the sticky and extremely hot plastic, it took about 30 minutes, Brooklyn and Kane were ready to start the third battle. Both were already in front of the new plate tired of waiting so long, but during those 30 minutes the fans did not stop running their names while Dj Jazzman was recovering and refreshed with the two ice packs tucked in his vest.
—please do a great battle Brooklyn and don't worry about holding back, let's put on a good show for the crowd that ran our names to entertain us —Kane pulled out his blue blade.
—believe me the word hold back never crossed my mind and yes, let's have fun here Kane —Brooklyn armed his thrower and was ready for combat.

The blades were thrown to the plate. Kane's blade tried to hit Zeus but Zeus moved with incredible speed, dodging every attack ordered by his rival; it was even as if Zeus anticipated the direction of the attacks long before Kane moved his lips or maybe even before he thought about it.
—Brooklyn is faster than last time —said Tyson —look at the way he anticipates Kane's attacks, he makes it look too easy.
—yeah, definitely —said Daichi who had gone back to the dressing room for more food, Kai hadn't returned.
—Are you going to dodge me for the whole fight? Do you think you can beat me with one move? , I know I'm not Kai or Tyson but this could be humiliating for me —said Kane with irony.
—come on don't try to make me feel bad, of course not, I was just analyzing my rival...—Brooklyn smiled and Zeus disappeared for a second leaving everyone surprised and reappeared giving a strong blow to his rival that by centimeters almost went out of the plate.
—What the hell happened to Zeus!, he disappeared for seconds?
—no Brad, everyone in the stadium and on TV lost track of him too, he has the name of the strongest Greek God of all for a reason —replied Aj.
—What happened Goki, Jim! —Salima stood up.
—what devastating power..., Tyson and Kai faced this? —thought Kane already a little worried, he didn't think the difference in power would be so noticeable from the beginning.

Zeus was hitting his rival with brutality, each one of his attacks made Kane's blade fall several centimeters, it seemed only a matter of time before he stopped spinning, three dry blows made part of Kane's defense fill with small cracks, seeing this Goki almost pulled out part of his hair and Salima gnashed her teeth.
—I'm starting to get stuck in a dead end, I shouldn't have provoked you Brooklyn —Kane dragged his head and began to massage the back of his neck.
—don't worry, you didn't provoke me, I had already decided to attack with everything —said the orange-haired boy serenely.

—I never thought I'd see anything like this —said Max —I only saw Tyson and Kai as the only ones capable of competing head to head with Brooklyn, I know it's disrespectful to say it but... no one imagined Kane to be one of those people.
—I don't know where he gets all his strength from, but the crowd and I love these sudden bursts of brute force —said Topper.

The luck didn't last long because Zeus increased the intensity and controlled the fight again, something that caught Brooklyn's attention were Kane's gestures, they were gestures of feeling pain in his head, not only he had noticed them, but also Kai who stopped crossing his arms while frowning.

Brooklyn increased the intensity and Kane returned to match him, a situation that lasted about two minutes, what surprised everyone was that for a few moments a kind of tornado formed around the blue blade making Zeus retreat, but it lasted a few seconds.
—Kane has earned my respect —said Jhony —is amazing the way he is fighting against the divine power of Brooklyn and Zeus.
—I knew it since I saw the movements of Salima's blade, when I saw Max's face I knew the others noticed it and they must be thinking the same thing..., first Salima and now this, there are no more doubts —thought Ray.

—I thought so too —Kane began to sweat, but deep down he was grateful for the request.

The two blades took a moment to recharge all their energies and collide with everything, a white glow illuminated the entire stage for seconds, when the light dissipated, people could see that only Zeus was still spinning.
—Brooklyn wins and advances to the semifinals! —Jazzman announced.
—Kane can be happy; he left nothing undone —said Topper.
—when you lose giving all your effort, nobody reproaches you for anything —said Brad besides, now the door is open for a possible semifinal between Tyson and Brooklyn, which we were all waiting for with some fear, if Mariam doesn't get in the way of the current world champion —added Brad.
—Are you all right? —asked Brooklyn.

—I'm back guys, it was too long a line but I thought of you too and brought burgers for everyone!-Aki had gone out to the bathroom —I saw Ray, Hilary and Max bolt out of their room, they must have been holding their breath too.

Kane didn't know whether to go back to the dressing room, he didn't know where he was going either, he felt like his vision was failing him, he took slow steps while he helped himself to the wall to walk until he just fell, luckily Brooklyn caught him just in time, he decided to take Kane and now he knew it was the right decision.

—I know it's complicated but it's not what you think —Salima rubbed her chest and adjusted her hair —that time we were just victims of our ego and search for power, we didn't see what was the real objective of those experiments, it's just complicated to explain —with fear she walked to remove Tala's hand from Kaner's shoulder carefully, the russian didn't put any resistance while Goki and Jim were trembling.

—We just want to help you —said Hilary worried —you both looked very tired after your fights, I fear for your health guys, I saw it that day, you weren't yourselves, you only thought about winning and if it wasn't for the guys you would have died.
Kane pushed Kai's hand away to continue walking, Kai grabbed him by the collar of his shirt to throw him to the ground. Goki and Jim were going to help Kane, but Max stepped in front of them, his look was peaceful despite what was happening, they both understood that maybe it was something that needed to happen.

—Kai is so manly when he's angry —Suki whispered, she was running at full speed when she saw Tala and Pasha, which increased her suspicions and she followed their pace towards the exit doors, Pasha decided to take her out.
—I admit it —said Pasha —I must thank you for bringing me back, this is much better than those silly TV soap operas that Brian loves so much and wants to keep secret —both girls were hiding in the bushes.
—Kai relax! —Max got between them —come on Kai violence is not the way to solve this, we can talk like calm people and understand the situation more, if there is something I am 1000 percent sure of is that they are not bad guys so I don't think there are bad intentions in the middle.
—You're crazy if you think the only truth are your words! —Kane shouted angrily —don't talk like you know what this is all about, you have no idea what we've been through, if we think this is a positive thing for us then you and anybody don't have to care.
—You're an ashole! —I don't know how you did it, but who the hell knows how many people went crazy trying to control and use that power, how many died undiscovered because of Dr. Zagart.
—you don't know that! —Jim shouted — let's stop being so paranoid besides I don't think he would be so heartless to let children die!.
—in fact he is telling the truth, my mother did more research on that mad scientist and found evidence of children going insane for life and the mysterious disappearance of four of his test participants to this day.
—my God, Max I swear we didn't know...—Salima felt a shiver run through her body.

—don't mess with me Ray, or I'll knock you out! —Dunga threatened him ready for a fight—I don't give a shit if she's your friend, she must pay!.
—I won't let you touch her again, believe me I don't want to hurt you —Ray's cold stare made Dunga back off but he was still enraged, he felt his senses screaming danger.
—no one is going to touch Kai without going through me first! —Suki came out of the bush she used to hide next to Pasha —come on you damn nomads if you want to attack me all four at the same time! —she soon regretted when she remembered his bet with Kai and bowed her head which surprised Pasha.
—I'm going to shut her up once and for all —a huge vein appeared on Mariam's forehead.
—Suki! —shouted the bladebrakers while Kai just hit her head.

Mariam ran so fast that she surprised everyone, she made a huge jump to give her a right that hit directly Suki's mouth, Pasha's pupils dilated when she saw that Suki didn't flinch, she only had her eyes closed, when Mariam was going to give Suki another blow, Pasha stopped her hand.
—enough girl —whispered the Russian in a threatening tone.
—I'm going to prove right here that you're also just a talker! —Mariam made a deadly forward move to break free and try to hit Pasha's face with her heel, but the russian expert in all kinds of fights caught it and showing a display of inhuman strength lifted her up like a rag doll to throw her through the air but before falling she was caught by Max, who threw himself like a runner.
—shit...—whispered Hilary, she knew she was to be feared but not to that extreme, she was definitely on another level.
—Mariammm! —Joseph ran to check on his sister. Dunga was more furious, the cyber beasts and now to see her friend being thrown like a rag doll, Pasha seeing her coming just smiled and took off her military cap.
—oh you will not reach her...—whispered Tala.
Tala's dry voice stopped Dunga's run, the russian slowly walked in front of Pasha —who am I kidding —Tala smiled —come on tough guy, I haven't known what it's like to kick someone's ass in a long time.
—I did not know you follow us Tala, maybe I am getting old —Pasha whispered with a small smile.

Kai shocked with what he had just seen walked until he was in front of Suki, he gently lifted her face to wipe some drops of blood on her lips, she looked extremely affected, not physically, emotionally, she did not hesitate to fulfill her bet if it even meant receiving a blow.

That's right BITCH!, run like there's no tomorrow, next time you won't be so lucky, shouted Suki, Mariam tried to stop but Tyson's fear of being disqualified was stronger.
—let's stop this before it gets worse —suggested Max to everyone —let's go back and when the tournament is over, we'll meet quietly to discuss this.

Kai crossed his arms and walked too, Suki stood next to him and took his arm to walk next to him, now she was glad she let him hit her because for a few moments Kai showed her that deep down he really cared about her.
—come on Salima —said Goki and Jim.
—I'll come later guys, just let me get some fresh air —said the redhead —I just need a few seconds to feel better, Ray was the only one who stayed to wait for her. Salima didn't know why she felt so bad, she started sobbing and dropped to her knees on the floor, she started crying inconsolably.
