Bra'tac entered the room containing the transportation platform. A Jaffa wearing a long cape like Bra'tac and bearing the mark of Amaunet, a deshret, was accompanying him. Behind the two men, an escort of five Jaffas bearing the mark of Amaunet and two serving with Bra'tac Klorel. The escort was carrying staff weapons. But nothing to worry about, Bra'tac was here as a guest in one of Amaunet's ships. He stopped a meter before the transportation platform. He turned to the other Jaffa with the cape. The latter listened to Bra'tac with respect. "I will inform my Lord Klorel. He will be pleased to–"
Bra'tac turned to the transportation rings that were rising all of a sudden. The other Jaffas looked at the rings, too, as surprised as their very experienced peer. The rings disappeared and the Jaffas saw a strange device at the center of the platform. Cylindrical shape. It didn't look Goa'uld. The Jaffas, except the two leaders, aimed their weapons at the unknown object. Bra'tac raised the right hand, as a signal for the Jaffas not to fire. They stayed still but ready to react when necessary. The other leader remained calm, like Bra'tac. The latter approached the device, perplexed. Definitely not Goa'uld. What could it be? He had never seen that before. He noticed a small screen. Symbols appeared one by one. Like a sequence. In an unknown language. Bra'tac frowned. Did his lord expect him to take it out of the platform so he could arrive and tell his plans?

An enormous explosion wiped out the mothership, causing a ripple effect. Indeed, the destruction of the mothership wiped out the two others nearby. There was nothing left but wreckage floating in space. The explosion made Apophis, seated in the captain's chair that looked rather like a throne, in the bridge of his mothership, jump, extremely confused and furious. At the same moment, two motherships exited hyperspace, not far away from the aliens' fleet.
