Inside of the bridge of his mothership, Apophis, furious, expected an explanation from Brontes. The Goa'uld's face, like the others except Amaunet, was visible on a screen. Apophis was standing in front of it. A few Jaffas were in the bridge, two were at the control panels.
"I did not do anything! How dare you accuse me!?" Brontes vociferated, enraged, seated in the captain's chair.
"You're the one who's coming late without telling us and you're coming right after the destruction of Amaunet's Hat'aks," Apophis retorted.
Klorel nodded, in agreement. He was as furious as Apophis. Nirrti and Qetesh remained more calm although they were very skeptical about Brontes's timing.
The Goa'uld jumped from his throne. "This is unacceptable! I have no obligation to explain everything I do !" he vociferated. He looked at the Jaffa standing at the panel controlling the weapons. A thunder inside an eye shape was the mark on the Jaffa's forehead.
Brontes ordered something in Goa'uld. Apophis and Klorel gave the same order to the Jaffas at the same console panel in their ship. A moment later, Brontes's, Apophis's, and Klorel's motherships fired at each other, as they were close to each other. Nirrti and Qetesh watched without doing anything. Their fleet were at a safe distance from the others.
In the ship where Nirrti was, Jonas Quinn, who was at the panel controlling the vessel's major systems, noticed something on the hologram screen. "My queen, I detect the presence of two other ships. They're at the other side of the planet." Jonas turned around to receive Nirrti's orders. He saw her frown. She looked perplexed by this news...
