In the Exam Room
Everyone in the room just stared at Anko with looks of disbelief.
"You really need to learn to grasp the atmosphere, Anko" Ibiki stated with a dull look on his face, where the violet haired woman blushed in embarrassment.
After getting over her embarrassment, Anko counted the number of remaining Genin, where she found that there were more left than she expected "Ibiki you let twenty-six teams pass? Your test must have been too soft" said Anko
"Or that there were quite a number of excellent Genin this year" Ibiki replied.
"Huh! Well it doesn't matter…" Anko replied before a sinister grin approved on her face"…as I'm going to make more than half of these teams fail the next test."
Upon hearing this many of the Genin became nervous especially give the sinister looking smirk on Anko's face.
"Now everyone to the Training Ground 44, be there in 20 minutes or you fail, LET'S GO!" Anko said and everyone followed right behind.
Outside of the Forest of Death
The Training Ground 44 also known as the Forest of Death which is one of Konoha's deadliest Training Ground that is reserved only for Chunin, Jōnin and ANBU, the forest itself was home to various plant's and deadly animals from big spiders to gigantic bears and tigers.
"This place gives me the creeps" Sakura said nervously as she held onto Sasuke's right shoulder as she looked at the dark forest.
"Well it has to be or it wouldn't be known as the Forest of Death" said Aika.
"All right maggots! This is the place for your second test, Training Area Forty Four, or better known as the Forest of Death!" said Anko.
Just then Naruto sensed someone with high levels of Chakra entered the group and it felt dark but it was well disguised preventing Naruto to figure out who it was.
"Who the hell is that? If it wasn't for my strong sensing ability their disguise would make me think that their around Chunin level?" Naruto thought curiously.
"And soon enough you kids will find out soon why this place is called the forest of death'' Anko said with a sinister smirk making most of the Genin's gulped out of fear while some just shuddered it off.
Anko hold a piece of paper ''In this part of the exam killing is allow but I don't want to be responsible for your deaths so you have to sign these wavers, I will explain the test before you sign these wavers. This part of the exam will be a survival test, Training Ground 44 has locked gates, a river, as you can see a pages forest and a tower at the centre and from each gate there is about 10km until the tower" Anko then paused for a moment to allow her words sink in.
''In this Training Ground you will compete where each team will be given one heaven or earth scroll, for your team to pass you have to present both heaven and earth scrolls at the tower, there is a time limit as you have only five days to get into the tower with both scrolls to pass the test. If you arrive after 120 hours you will fail the test and there is no quitting once you enter the training ground you will be in there for five days'' Anko announced to the listening Genin.
''What do we do about food?'' Choji asked while eating bag of chips as he was very worried that he would have to be trapped in the Training Ground without any of his favourite food barbecue and chips.
''The forest is full of food, all you have to do is avoid man-eating bugs, poisonous insects and plants'' The Genin shuddered at the thought of being eaten by bugs ''The forest will be full of enemies, so if you get to the tower faster with both scrolls you will avoid enemies, now let's get on to who gets disqualified, the first I have already told you, which is not being able to get to the tower with both scrolls and in time, second is those who loses a teammate or a teammate gets killed and lastly you must not open the scroll before you reach the tower. As Chunin you be expected to courier important documents so this will be a test to your trustworthiness" Anko finished her explanation to the Genin's.
''Come over here and take the wavers and sign them!'' Anko ordered as the Genin's went over to her and took the wavers to sign. Some were hesitant to sign it at first but every single one of them eventually did and they then handed them back over to Anko who then given each team their scroll either a heaven or earth scroll which she made sure that no other team would know which team held the scroll that needed to pass the exam as this was to avoid any team going after a specific team and it would also cut down numbers because a team would take the scroll from another team they have defeated even though it is the same as theirs. She did not tell them that, they did not need to know it ''Final word of advice before you lot head out, don't get killed!'' She said and each team went away to their assigned gate and got ready for the second part of the Chunin exam's.
Sometime later in the Forest of Death
Currently a red haired young Kunoichi from Kusa trapped with a large tree behind her and a large brown fur bear stood in front of her and was ready to attack her at any moment. The Kunoichi had been separated from the rest of her team and she had been chased by the large brown fur bear for several minutes before she finally being cornered by it.
Seeing that she was trapped, the girl called out to her team-mates for help but sadly she received no answer and as the bear readied to pounce on her, the young girl ducked underneath it and tried to run away however as she ran, she tripped over a large root and fell to the ground and hit her head temporarily knocking her out.
The bear quickly turned around and right when it was about to kill the young kunoichi but luckily Sasuke suddenly appeared and he delivered several powerful kicks to the bears head knocking it out and once the bear was subdued Sasuke propped the girl up against a nearby tree and searched her for any scroll.
"So does she have the scroll we need?" Naruto asked as he walked up to the Uchiha.
"No" Sasuke replied.
"Damnit then it has to be with the two who I can sensed nearby" said Naruto.
As the two boys walked away from the young Kunoichi who was slowly waking up and saw two blurry figures walking away from her, she quickly grabbed her glasses and put them back on where she saw the two boys jump up to the tree's and jumping away but before they disappeared from her the Kunoichi saw Sasuke turn back to her and smile for a brief moment, after which he and Naruto regroup with Aika and Sakura who was nearby.
However just as the regrouped a sudden massive gust of wind appeared out of nowhere came and separating Naruto from Sasuke, Aika and Sakura.
"OH COME ON!" Naruto shouted angrily as he was sent flying away from Sasuke, Aika and Sakura.
With Naruto
After being blow away by the sudden massive gust of wind, Naruto found himself alone in the small clearing in the forest.
"Uhhhhh, what the hell was that" Naruto said as he pick himself up
Just as Naruto got up his Shinobi trained senses kicked just in time and told him to move which he did just as a giant Snake appeared right above him and tried to eat him.
"Shit! That was close!" Naruto thought, as he landed on the ground a few feet away from the giant Snake.
Seeing that it had missed its prey the giant Snake lifted its head and eyed Naruto with hungry in it's eyes, where it hissed loudly and showed its long fork like tongue and large sharp fangs.
Seeing the giant Snake looking at him, Naruto could tell easily tell that it was thinking and readied himself and the next moment the giant Snake struck and charged at Naruto intended to eat him whole however Naruto managed to dodge it by jump but as the giant Snake saw Naruto in the air it knew he wouldn't be jump away again so it try again and charged at Naruto who extended right arm pointing at giant Snake with his palm open and he began channelled his Chakra into it.
Spirit Laser
Naruto fired the powerful blue beam of energy from his hand which hit the giant Snake straight in it's head causing it to explode but then the remains proof away in smoke.
"That was a summon but who went it? They would need a bit of Chakra to summon something that big, I need to get to the others" Naruto thought as he raced back towards where his teammates.
With Sasuke, Aika and Sakura
Sasuke and Aika stared at the strange Kusa Shinobi who appeared right after the gust of wind that sent Naruto flying, they turn around to look at Sakura who wasn't injury but they could tell that she was clearly terrified and just after the gust of wind Sasuke saw a large snake chased right after
"I hope Naruto is alright" Aika said worry for her teammate.
"Don't worry about Naruto, he can take care of himself so instead just stay focus on the enemy in front of us" Sasuke said firmly as he narrowed his eyes which he had activated his Sharingan at the enemy Shinobi.
The Kusa Shinobi seemed to like seeing Sasuke's Sharingan being activated "Yes, that's it Sasuke show me what you can do" The Kusa Shinobi thought as he continued to chuckle menacingly which unnerving the three Konoha Genin.
Sasuke and Aika dashed forward at the Kusa Shinobi where Aika attempted to punch him on the face with Sasuke try to slash with Tantō Blade but the Kusa Shinobi managed to dodge them, Aika stop herself from punching the tree branch and then try to kick while Sasuke tried slash at the Kusa Shinobi gut but their enemy jumped away to avoid being hit however Sasuke and Aika dashed forward not giving their opponent rest any time to rest.
Aika did a couple of hand signs and said "Wind Style: Air Bullets" where she then shoots multiple bullets of air at the Kusa Shinobi who managed to dodge them however Sasuke appeared next to him where he attempted to punch the Kusa Shinobi while earth pulled him down but the Kusa Shinobi brought out both his hands and blocked Sasuke's attempt.
The Kusa Shinobi try to punch Sasuke on his chest but thanks to his Sharingan he was able to see the attack where he jumped back to avoid being hit. The Kusa Shinobi rushed at Sasuke and kick him but Sasuke blocked the kick with his knee and Sasuke then sent his right fist at the Kusa Shinobi's face, but he bended down to avoid the attack.
Sasuke saw an opening and went down attempt to do a leg sweep but the Kusa Shinobi jumped avoiding Sasuke's kick and sent a kick of his own to Sasuke's face who was unable to neither dodge nor block the in coming attack which sent Sasuke flying into a tree and Sasuke hit the tree he let out a grunt of pain.
''Is this all you can do Sasuke, even with your Sharingan?'' The Kusa Shinobi said while chuckling earning a glare from Sasuke.
"Leave him alone!" Aika demaned as she threw a oddly shape Kunai at the Kusa Shinobi who managed to dodge easily thinking that Mito must have poor aim however he noticed there was a seal on the Kunai's handle.
"That's.." Before the Kusa Shinobi could finish his thought Aika appeared in a red flash right where the Kunai was and she threw a punch at the the Kusa Shinobi chest who attempted to block however the moment Aika's made contact with the Kusa Shinobi it was too powerful for him to simply block it like it was nothing and he was sent flying back.
"Wow!" Both Sasuke and Sakura thought in amazement.
"Oh how interesting you've been taught the very technique that made your father famous the Flying Thunder God Jutsu and you know your great auntie's secret technique which grants her monstrous strength however nowhere near her level of fully mastering that technique" The Kusa Shinobi said as he pick himself up.
Aika then changed straight at the Kusa Shinobi in a Jōnin level of speed with her right fist glowing blue with Chakra but the Kusa Shinobi managed to dodge Aika's attack where she instead hit a tree destroying the tree trunk around where she hit causing the top half to fall to the ground. The Kusa Shinobi then did a swing kick with his left leg at Aika who block it with her left arm and with her right fist she try to punch the Kusa Shinobi leg in hopes to break his leg.
The Kusa Shinobi quickly used his right leg to jump up avoiding the attack and landed on the tree trunk using his Chakra to stay on it however Aika wouldn't give up as she use her Chakra to run on the tree trunk and gave chase at the Kusa Shinobi
"She has also inherited the Chakra Chains ability from Kushina" The Kusa Shinobi thought as he jump backwards to avoid the Chakra Chains which impaled into the tree trunk before they burst out from it and continue to go at the Kusa Shinobi.
"But it seems her Chakra Chains has evolved to where it allow her to physical damage not only suppress someone else's Chakra, how interesting?" The Kusa Shinobi thought as he dodged the Chakra Chains while also did hand signs.
"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Bomb Jutsu" The Kusa Shinobi said As he breathes fire from his mouth and the flames are manipulated into the shape of a dragon and divided to strike Aika from the left, right, and front all at once.
"AIKA!" Sasuke and Sakura callout seeing her teammate be consumed by the flames however much to their surprise as well as the Kusa Shinobi as they saw the flames disappeared revealing Aika unharmed as her Chakra Chains had protected her the flames.
"Oh how interesting you can also use your Chakra Chains to protect yourself from attacks" said the Kusa Shinobi.
While this was happening Sasuke threw multiple Shuriken's at the Kusa Shinobi who saw them and was able to easily dodge them however they had wire string attached at one end and the other end attached to Kunai's, they loop around a tree and with a pull Sasuke pinned the Kusa Shinobi against a tree and Sasuke began doing hand signs.
"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu" Sasuke said as he spits flames from his mouth that travel quickly down the wire string and hit the Kusa Shinobi
"Did it work?" Sasuke said hopefully however as his flames burnt away the wire string which free wire the Kusa Shinobi who began to walk towards Sasuke however Sasuke's attack did damaged him as his face was badly burnt but the skin around his right was gone revealing that he had another face underneath which had very pale skin, it show his true eyes golden with slitted pupils and he purple markings around his eyes.
"Is he who think he is! If so then why is he here!?" Aika said scare at who she thought the Kusa Shinobi true identity.
The Kusa Shinobi then used a strange technique to paralyze Sasuke, along with Sakura and Aika, so to make sure that they couldn't interfere.
"Such mastery of the Sharingan at so young an age, you're a true Uchiha after all!" The Kusa Shinobi stated, where his voice changed to a different and much older persons "Yes…you may do nicely after all".
As the Kusa Shinobi watched Sasuke try and break free of his paralyzing technique, he simply smirked in amusement. "You are indeed his younger brother, if anything your eyes are even more keener than Itachi's".
"Who the hell are you? How do you know Itachi? What do you want with me?" Sasuke asked angrily, as he glared at the Kusa Shinobi in anger.
"Who I am is unimportant…and as to what I want, well that'll have to wait until we met again, which won't happen unless you finish this exam with one of the top scores and you must defeat the Genin of Otogakure, who are under my command" said the Kusa Shinobi.
"I don't care what kind of sick twisted game you're playing, but I've no interest in being part of it!" Sasuke yelled angrily and in a burst of Chakra free himself from the paralyze technique but also his Sharingan now had two tomoes in each of them.
"His Sharingan has reach the second level" The Kusa Shinobi thought with a smile.
Aika also channelled her Chakra to free herself from the paralyze technique as well as however for a brief moment Aika's eyes turn red with slitted pupils.
"Oh they have also began to train her to use the Kyuubi" The Kusa Shinobi thought curious as too way Aika was being taught these advance techniques so early "Could they already know about them?".
Aika changed at the Kusa Shinobi where she try to punch him however the Kusa Shinobi jump away just causing Aika to punch the large tree branch damaging it greatly however Aika then channelled her Chakra into her left hand and as she lift it up a Chakra Chain shot out from it which wrap itself around the Kusa Shinobi legs.
Sasuke seeing this as a opportunity ready his Tantō Blade "Uchiha Style: Halo Dance" Sasuke said as coats his Tantō Blade in fire and with a quick gesture unleashes a wave of flame towards the Kusa Shinobi.
However as Sasuke's flames hit the Kusa Shinobi they saw his body turn to mud, revealing that the Kusa Shinobi replaced himself with a 'Earth Style: Shadow Clone'.
"I must say you two are highly impressive" The Kusa Shinobi said as he pulled off his face, revealing his true face which Mito recognised.
"It really is you! Orochimaru Hikura!" Aika said in shock as she recognised him from old photos of her great auntie Tsunade Senju.
"That's the Orochimaru!" Sakura thought terrified as she remembered back in the Academy she read about the rogue Sannin who were three legendary Konoha Shinobi who were trained by the Third Hokage.
"Why are you here!?" Aika demanded to know why the rogue Sannin was attending the Chunin Exams.
"Oh to simply see how strong the next generation of Shinobi is" Orochimaru said with sinister grin.
"We stand no chance against him! He's just been toying with us! We need to get out of here right now or else!" Aika thought while trying to come with a plan to get herself, Sasuke and Sakura away with their lives.
"Sasuke do your one of Fire Style Ninjutsu!" Aika demanded which Sasuke nodded his head as he knew Aika wouldn't tell him to do that if she didn't have a plan.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu" Sasuke said as he let out a middle size fireball though his mouth.
"Wind Style: Immense Breakthrough Justu" Aika said as she gathered chakra in her stomach and then expelled it as a gust of wind.
As Aika and Sasuke unleashed their Jutsu's they combined where Aika's Wind Jutsu enhanced Sasuke's fireball which made much larger and as their attack hit Orochimaru directly it also damaged the tree he was standing on greatly.
However Orochimaru's head burst out of the ground with his neck extended in a length that no normal human being neck should be capable of and Sasuke froze not knowing what to do as Orochimaru's dig into Sasuke's neck causing Sasuke let out a pained scream before Orochimaru released him allowing Sasuke to fall down in pain as he held his neck.
''SASUKE!'' Sakura yelled out while she rushing at the fallen form of Sasuke.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO SASUKE!" Aika demanded angrily which reminded Orochimaru of whenever Tsunade would get angrily.
"I have simply given the boy a gift, something I know he truly desires" Orochimaru said with sinister grin.
Destructo Disc
A familiar voice callout as a orange razor-sharp disc came flying at Orochimaru forcing the rogue Sannin to jump back which made the disc cut right though the tree branch.
"What was that?" Orochimaru thought curiously as he never seen a Jutsu like that before.
When they looked in the direction where the disc came from they saw Naruto standing on a large branch on another large tree and he looked annoyed.
