Chapter 17:

Family Ties

Arendelle 1806

The castle was full of guards this morning. Many of them were in training and preparing for tomorrows big celebration between the two nations.

A blonde headed royal guard passed by his men as they all saluted him with respect. His cool and authoritative walk passing down the hall and through the castle to go up to where the king had requested his presence.

He made his way up the stairs towards where two personal guards were in front of the king chambers. They both looked at the blonde headed man and saluted him with respect.

"King Ruenard requested my audience." Said the blonde man.

The two guards nodded together and slowly opened the large doors. He entered the large chamber where he found the king leaning on his desk, laughing with his deep voice at the young crown prince who was wielding a wooden sword in his hand.

While the young Lieutenant Mattias was wielding another one in his hand, countering the young prince's strikes while grinning at the same time.

"Yah!" Screamed the prince as he went for a high strike but Mattias very easily walked away unharmed before gently striking the young prince in the arm. "Oww!"

Mattias chuckled. "Try to not lift your heel up, your highness. It'll lose your balance if you do."

"You heard the Lieutenant, Agnarr. Focus and strike hard when you can!" Said the king pridefully with a deep chuckle.

Prince Agnarr focused his eyes on his target and curled his nose as he jumped forward and ducked a slow strike from Mattias. He then turned full circles and with his heel planted made impact with his wooden towards the stomach of Mattias.

"Oh! You got me!" Exclaimed Mattias dramatically as he fell to the ground in exaggeration.

"YES!" Exclaimed Agnarr with a giant smile on his face as he turned to face his father.

"Very well done." Chuckled the king as he applauded his son and stood up. He placed a firm hand on his shoulder. "Keep practicing Agnarr and one day you'll be stronger than me."

"You think so?" Asked the young prince innocently with a smile at the corner of his lips.

"Of course! You must show strength, bravery and pride when being king of Arendelle, Agnarr. Our people depend on us and you must show neighboring kingdoms and enemies that Arendelle shall never fall and we shall always stand tall."

"Your Majesty." Said on of the guards suddenly who had been guarding the doors as the king tuned around. "The Lieutenant has arrived like you requested."

"Ah, perfect. Let him enter." Said the king.

The blonde man walked forwards with his hands behind his back respectfully. His heavy blonde sideburns made his demeanor far more noticeable as he took a deep bow with respectfulness towards the king and the prince.

"Your majesties." He said.

"Lieutenant Hansen. It's a pleasure to see you again." Said the king as he nodded and looked down towards his son, waiting for him to follow and do the same.

"O-oh, yes. Good day, Lieutenant Hansen." Said prince Agnarr with a acknowledgeable nod and smile.

"Good day, prince Agnarr." Nodded the Lieutenant with a smile. "And good day to you, your majesty. I have come to meet with you as you requested."

"Of course, thank you for doing what you were told. Lieutenant Mattias, will you please escort prince Agnarr to his dorms so they may prepare him for bed. The queen will be waiting for him." Said the king, turning to the other lieutenant who was standing firm and respectfully.

"Yes your majesty." Nodded Mattias as he approached Agnarr.

"Aww man.. do I have to? I was just about to show you more moves I learned!" Whined the young prince.

"You can show me later when we head to the forest tomorrow, okay? You need to rest for tomorrow is a big day for our people. Remember-"

"Arendelle comes first, I know..." sighed Agnarr as he started marching out the door with Mattias following close behind.

"Good lad. Now go, don't keep your mother waiting." Said the king as he rubbed his sons forehead and watched him leave with Lieutenant Mattias following close by.

Mattias passed by Lieutenant Hansen and gently patted his colleagues shoulder. "I'll catch you later, Christian."

The young blonde man nodded as he watched them exit the large doors as they were closed behind them. He then turned to the king who gestured to the empty chair.

"Please sit, Lieutenant Hansen." Said the king.

"Thank you, your majesty." Bowed the blonde haired man as he approached the seat and respectfully waited till the king sat first before he too joined him.

"I must say that you have been doing a mighty fine work in building the Royal guard, especially the young recruiters." Began the king as he made himself comfortable in his large chair.

"Thank you for your kind words, your majesty. But I mustn't take all the credit. Lieutenant Mattias has been on par with helping Arendelle's future as we expand." He replied.

"Of course. It seems it was a wise choice to mark you two lieutenant." Said the king.

The king was silent for a moment as he looked over to his doors, almost as if he was making sure no one was around before he turned to face the Lieutenant again.

"So tell me Lieutenant Hansen. You are a family man aren't you? From what I remember at the ball this past summer, you and Mrs. Hansen share one child." King Ruenard said.

"Correct, your majesty. My wife and I will have been married for 18 years this October. We have one daughter."

"And how are they fairing?" Asked the king as he retrieved a rather large golden Arendellian krone.

"Very well your majesty. My wife's health has improved so much since last year with the illness going around Arendelle." He explained. "And our daughter is doing great. She always loves to help around the home as much as she can."

"Well I am happy for you Lieutenant." Nodded Ruenard as he started to reach towards something in the side of his desk. "I did want to ask you something however that I found intriguing."

"Yes your majesty?"

The king flipped gold Arendelle krone with his finger, moving it around in circles as if the coins material satisfied him until he finally spoke again.

"I never knew you were a farmer, Lieutenant Hansen..."

The kings statement caught the Lieutenant by surprise but he ended up smirking softly with a slow nod. "That is correct your majesty."

"Interesting." Nodded Ruenard. "I just never took you as a farmer. And if I may ask... why are you here then?

Lieutenant Hansen pressed his lips as if he was trying to find the right words to give a reply to the king.

"I mean after all, farmers usually don't make a good living here in Arendelle, and you're making a lot more here, being enlisted into our guard."

Lieutenant Hansen took a long sigh. He never shared this with anyone, save except Mattias.

"So what is the purpose of being a farmer while a guard all at the same time?" Asked the curious kind as he continued to play with the golden krone. "Unless you have other ambitions..."

The young Lieutenant was quite again before finally speaking. "My father was a farmer... and his father too... it is our way of life even though it is not easy-"

"What do you mean by that." Challenged the king.

The Lieutenant blinked a couple times before swallowing and answering. "Farming in our countries is not always easy... our winters are tough as you are well aware, your majesty. And we don't usually have as much crops as other countries outside of Scandinavia do."

"And so you enlisted as a guard at a young age to make extra money?" Asked the king suspiciously.

"Not exactly, your majesty..." he began. "I make these sacrifices for my family... for my daughter. You see we own a small land that does not process enough provisions to satisfy our families needs. And I want my daughter to one day take over my land. But in order to do that my land needs more value."

"More land you mean." Corrected the Ruenard.

"More crops. More provisions and more work that will make my families job easier so when the time comes that I do leave this world, I want to leave my family all that I can give so they can make it through tough winters. That is why I enlisted a young age to help my father, and continue to be here to leave a legacy for my daughter."

The king was silent for a long time as he stared at the Lieutenant. Almost as if he was calculating a sneak attack.

King Ruenard inhaled deeply as he turned to look out towards the large widows behind him where he saw the small crowd of people at the marketplace. "And so being a guard is not a career you wish to permanently have."

Lieutenant Hansen pressed his lips and looked toward to the king to answer. "I am grateful for all I have learned and for what I have accomplished this far. But no, it is not something I wish to do forever."

The king didn't answer. He didn't even acknowledge the Lieutenants words and deep silence hung in the air as the king still faced the marketplace.

"Ahem, if I may ask, your majesty. Why am I here?" Asked Lieutenant Hansen, hoping to break the awkward silence.

The king slowly turned his chair back around and focused his eyes on the emerald eyed Lieutenant and stared deep into his soul. "I want to help you."

The Lieutenant's eyes widened. "Help me?"

"Yes, only if you help me." Said the king with a very serious tone.

"I will always help no matter the cause, your majesty." Said the Lieutenant as he placed his hand over his heart with respect. "Arendelle will always be my duty."

"Than serve Arendelle well tomorrow, Lieutenant Hansen." Said the king with seriousness in his voice. "For tomorrow we go to war with the Northuldra." Said the king as he rose up to his feet.

The young Lieutenants eyes widened at the sudden declaration as the king passed his chair with such authority in his walk. He quickly rose to his feet, almost knocking the chair over while doing so.

"S-sire?" He croaked out, still taken aback by what he heard the king say.

"Tomorrow we shall meet an hour before we leave."

"Your majesty-"

"To make sure we have enough men to go to the forest-"

"Your majesty, please." Said the blonde Lieutenant respectfully yet with panic in his voice, finally stopping the king from taking another step. "Please help me understand why we need to go to war with the Northuldra. Did they do something that I am not aware of?"

The king stared at Lieutenant Hansen with seriousness in his eyes, almost as if he was staring at death.

"Are you with me or not." Declared the king bitterly.

"I am always with you, your majesty-"

"That what is the problem." He declared.

"Your majesty, there must be another way we can avoid bloodshed. What has changed in this treaty of peace we just established with them?" Asked the Lieutenant.

"Those people can never be trusted, Lieutenant Hansen. Now I suggest you go home and think about this through since it seems you aren't set on a decision."

"But your majesty-"

"I am giving you a chance to help your family. To help your daughter and her children's children. But to do that you must decide if you are with me or not."

The Lieutenant couldn't think of anything else to say because before he knew it the king was out the door, leaving him alone with his thoughts and confused feelings.

He summoned the courage to finally step out of the kings office where no one was around except the guards who had been guarding the doors.

They bowed at his appearance while he continued to pace down the hall with millions of thoughts crossing his mind.

The king had just asked him for his help and he didn't understand why. And why it is he only told him and not his other co Lieutenant. What was he getting at?

He rubbed his face and his sideburns stressfully, unsure of what he needed to do. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice.

"Christian!" Called out his old comrade as he approached him.

"Hey, Destin." Replied the Lieutenant as he nodded at him.

"I was wondering where you went. How'd it go with the king? Is everything all right?" Asked the young co Lieutenant Mattias.

"Everything is... fine. He just wanted to go over a few things. How are our men doing?" Said Lieutenant Hansen quickly, hoping to change the subject as soon as possible.

"They just finished training and should be good to go for tomorrow- hey wait stop." Said Mattias as he grabbed his friends shoulder and looked at him straight in the eyes. "Are you all right?"

"W-what do you mean." Replied Lieutenant Hansen quickly.

"You don't look so good man. You look paler than usual and almost sick. You sure you're all right?" He asked again.

"I'm fine, Destin." Chuckled Christian as he patted Mattias on the arm. "I've just been stuck in this castle all day. You know I would much rather prefer to be back in my farm and the outdoors."

"I forgot about that." Chuckled Mattias with rolled eyes. "A big farm boy who hates being in the kingdom. Don't you ever get bored out there?"

Liutenant Hansen laughed as they walked together down the hall. "Not when I have my lovely wife waiting for me with a bowl of food. She's a pain in the ass sometimes and puts me to work but at least she satisfies my needs."

"Well lucky you. You're lucky you beat me to asking her to dance with me or she would've been my wife." Teased Mattias as Christian erupted into loud laughter and began to walk away.

"Hey finders keepers, you just focus on finding the guts to ask Halima out to the ball." Called out Christian with a smile as he started to walk away.

"I'm working on it all right, lay off me! You just get going and don't forget to give Amma a big hug and kiss for me." Countered Mattias as the his Comrade disappeared into the hallway. Leaving him worried and confused all at the same time.

He went straight home that day. After his conversation with the king, Christian was in no mood to stay any longer in the castle. And after all, what he said was true. He preferred being at his farm than anywhere else.

He walked up the green trail and towards the Biden mound. There just over the mound was the farmhouse he and his family lived. He smiled as he clicked his tongue, commanding the horse to proceed.

They had a perfect sized farm, small but sustainable. They lived right on the top of the mound and the roof was covered with green grass. Where they lived was the greenest spot in all of Arendelle with flowers and trees just behind their home that covered them and made their life all the more private.

And the view was unbeatable all at the same time. For they were the only home near by that was living right below the massive fjords with the sea splashing just a couple of trails down.

There he could always see ships coming and going and just across to the right side you could see all of Arendelle. Which the castle looked rather smaller than what it normally looked like up close.

He approached the farm, passing by the smaller barns that were behind their home and dismounted his horse, petting his loyal steed as he tied him up with the other horses.

He walked past the stacked logs as the lieutenant began to hear a heavenly and soft humming entering his ears.

He smiled as he started to make his way around to follow the heavenly noise.

Just across and in front of the second barn he saw her, feeding the chicken like she always did. He smiled as he watched her hum the familiar song, Tarantella by the famous Norwegian composer Johann Friedrich Burgmuller.

The girl had a love for singing. But he blamed her mother for that.

She began to even sing the song as she scattered the grains with one hand and holding the bucket with the other.

He smiled again as he kneeled down and watched proudly. She was already twelve years of age and was growing too fast before his eyes.

She was becoming a beautiful young woman. Fair skin like her mother and blessed with her beauty too.

But to him she was still his little girl. As least as long as she would allow it:

He picked a few pebbles that were on the green ground. He carefully placed them in his hands and flicked one across the air and past his daughter as it hit the barn next to her.

Her eyes widened and her humming seized all at once at hearing that unusual noise. She looked around, wondering if perhaps someone was near by.

But the lieutenant only grinned as he placed another pebble in his hand and threw it towards her again, this time landing in front of her.

She slightly jumped but quickly tuned towards where it was thrown. Her eyes widened when she realized who it was.

There her emerald eyes met with her fathers very own.

"Papa!" She exclaimed as she ran into her father's arms, even dropping the grains into the floor as the chickens quickly took advantage to eat their scattered food.

She hugged her just as tightly as she did as he twirled with her in circles and placed sweet kissed on her cheek.

"Oh my dear, you are getting heavy." Christian said as he groaned and placed her on the ground again. "Or maybe I'm just getting old.."

"How dare you papa!" Exclaimed the girl as her father erupted into laughter. "It's you who's gotten old!"

"You may be right, love." Said Christian as he placed his arm around his daughter and walked towards their home. "But, then again. For an old man I'm still able to keep up with youuuu-"

"No! Stoooppp!" Exclaimed the girl as she started to run away from her fathers tickling fingers. Jumping over fences and hiding behind barn animals to make sure he didn't catch her.

The door had been opened and out stepped a beautiful woman. She watched from the porch with a smile on her face.

Her hair was deep ginger. Making it far more dominant in red than her daughters auburn hair. But her skin fairs like hers too.Yet her eyes big and brown and with beautiful feckless that covered her face.

She smiled as her husband started playfully chasing their daughter around the field.

She had a dress on with a apron over her body. Drying her hands with it from the obvious kitchen work she had been doing.

She still had a few things to do, but seeing her husband and daughter laugh and play was all worth the wait.

She chuckled lovingly as she saw her husband finally seize their daughter in his arms as he began to tickle her until she finally surrendered and pleaded him to stop.

"Okay you win! You win!" Exclaimed the young girl as her mother laughed once again.

"All right you two, that's enough tickling for one day." She said as she walked down the steps towards them.

"Hello, my dear." Smiled Christian as he placed a deep kiss to his beautiful wife wrapped her arms around his neck. "Sorry I'm late. But I brought the peaches you requested from Mrs. Larsen."

"It's alright. I'm just glad you're home safe. And with the peaches." She said smiling as she turned to her daughter. "Nora."

"Yes mother?" Replied the young girl.

"Please set the table, it's time for supper."

"On it." Said Nora as she started to walk up the steps and inside the home.

Her father watched her with a proud grin on his face, his emerald eyes soft and expressive too.

"She's getting so big, isn't she Christian?" Said his wife as they followed slowly behind. "She's even gotten to the point where she doesn't need my help putting her corset on.."

"We'll, she's wise like you, Amma." Said Christian as he pulled his wife into a hug.

"And beautiful like me too." Winked Amma at her husband playfully as she followed it up with a laugh of her own.

"Oh very much so." Agreed Christian. "Let's just hope she doesn't start kissing boys behind my back-"

"Christian!" Exclaimed Amma as he erupted into laughter.

As fast as supper came and went, so did the afternoon. And soon enough it was the evening and they were hearing Nora's adventure of her whole day.

"And then I took Freya with me and went to the marketplace to grab the ingredients mom needed for the lapskaus." She said as she stuffed a full spoon of stew into her mouth.

"Did she ride well? Last time I took her out for a spin she almost knocked me over." Said Christian as he folded his arms and leaned back on the chair while Amma sat behind him and massaged his broad shoulders.

"Ah, well that's because she prefers the company of women rather than men." Said Nora with sass as she took another full spoon of lapskaus into her mouth again.

"Pah, you're hilarious. Can you believe this girl?" Said Christian turning to his wife. But when she saw her blank expression he raised his brow up. "Wait, don't tell me you agree with her.."

Amma shrugged. "I rode her myself yesterday and she's been nothing but kind to me."

"Unbelievable." Said Christian as he threw his hands up in disgust. Amma and Nora snickered at one another. "I can never win here at a house full of women."

"Well we are the dominant sex." Said Nora as she rose to her feet and began to pick up the empty bowls.

"We are the dominant sex, pah. What happened to that wide gapped tooth little girl who used wake me up from naps just to have a tea party with her." Said Christian.

"Don't tempt me, I'll do it again if it means annoying you." Winked Nora as he placed the bowls inside the sink to wash.

"Very funny young lady. I see you've developed your mothers sass now. Do you want to miss tomorrows great event at the forest!" Said Christian as he rubbed his sideburns as Amma chuckled and rolled her eyes.

Nora gasped loudly. "You wouldn't dare! You know I've been looking forward to going to enchanted forest for months now!"

Christian erupted into chuckles.

"Nora, darling. Leave the bowls and cups there. I'll take care of them." Said Amma.

"You sure?" Asked Nora with a raised eyebrow. "It really is no problem mother-"

"Nora, it's fine, really." Said Amma smiling at her. "Now go wash up, you've been around the animals a lot today."

"Fine. I was meaning to wash my hair anyways. Oh, I'm out of lye soap mother. May I-"

"Yes, of course darling. It's in my dresser." Said Amma.

"Thank you mother." Said Nora as she placed a kiss on her mothers head, not before giving her father a playful shove with her elbow. "Catch you later old man."

Amma laughed as she watched her daughter skip up the stairs while Christian shook his head with a small smirk in the corner of his lips.

"She's so much like you." He said.

"You're wrong, Christian." Said Amma as she rubbed her husbands arms gently. "She's so much like you. Do you remember how you were at twelve years old? You were so much like her."

Christian chuckled. "I suppose I am to blame then."

"Not to blame, my dear. But to be grateful for." She said as she placed a kiss in his cheek. "She's growing up to be a fine woman."

"She is." Nodded Christian as he slowly stood up. "I guess I'll get showering too."

"Of course my darling." Smiled Amma as she watched him leave. But her smile soon disappeared the second he was gone from her sight.

She could tell something was very off.

Knock-knock

"Yes?" Called out Nora as she continued to brush her wet auburn hair.

"Nora, it's father. Are you decent?"

"Yes, papa. Come in." She replied as Christian entered the room. He said he would shower but he still wore his rolled up sleeves from the Royal guard uniform.

"Hey kiddo." Said Christian as he walked forward with his hands respectfully behind his back.

"Hi dad." Smiled Nora as she faced her father with half her face while the other she combed.

Christian said nothing as he only stared at Nora lovingly with so much pride in his eyes. Nora noticed it and quickly frowned. "Everything okay, papa?"

"Everything's okay, darling. I just... can't believe how much you've grown." He said softly.

"Stop..." chuckled Nora. "You know I'll always be your little girl, no matter what."

"I know." Said Christian as he placed a gentle kiss on her wet and clean forehead. "Than allow me to tuck my little girl one more time like I used to every night."

Nora chuckled and jumped to her bed. "Fine, but just this once."

Christian smiled as he gently began to do so, putting the sheets below her body and adjusting her pillow so she would sleep comfortably.

"Thanks papa." Smiled Nora as she rested her head comfortably.

"You're welcome darling." Smiled Christian as he stood up and began to walk towards the door.

"Papa?" Asked Nora.

"Yes darling?" he said turning sounded.

"How are the Northuldrans like?" Asked Nora. "I mean you were there when King Soren first met them. Are they kind people? Are they mysterious.

"Hmm. That's a good question." Said Christian as he sat back down in the chair next to her bed. "Mysterious wouldn't be such a bad word to use for the Northuldrans but I don't think that's all they are. You see the Northuldrans they are a lot like us. Except they're ways are different."

"How so?" Asked Nora as she raised her head from the pillow.

"We'll, they are deeply connected to the earth. They believe the earth has a spirit and can feel the pains and sufferings whenever humans kind harms the planet.

They also are deeply connected with magic and respectfully use it for their resources.

"Magic?" Said Nora with widened eyes. "They use magic??"

"They only borrow it, Nora. They don't possess magic themselves. They only is it to help their lives if the magic seems it worthy at the time. They respect its resources." Said Christian.

"Well.. I'm not sure. But they call them spirits." Said Christian as he saw Nora try to hide a loud yawn. "But guess we'll have to find out tomorrow."

"No--no. I can stay awake--" Said Nora until she yawned again.

"Sure you can, darling." Said Christian as he tucker her in again and brushed her cheek. "Now get some sleep. Tomorrows a big day.

He turned to leave until she called him again.

"Hey papa."

"Hmm?" Said Christian turning to her.

"Thank you. For everything." She said suddenly.

His eyes widened as he stopped hallways to the door and his emerald eyes met hers.

"I know how much you sacrifice for us papa. And I know how hard you work to make sure our farm survives. I promise I'll do everything I can to help out too." She said as she played with one of her auburn locks.

Christian smiled with pressed lips. Emotion getting to his throat and tears starting to build up. But just like any other father, he quickly hid them away with one blink.

"I know you will, darling." Said Christian as he smiled at her and began to walk to the door. "Now go to sleep and don't sneak out."

Nora laughed at her father as she slowly closed her eyes and went fast to sleep.

Amma had been watching from outside the door. She too wearing the same cream colored nightgown Nora had on. And her hair washed and cleaned as well.

Christian smiled as they left a small creek of the door as they watched their daughter sleep.

"She was tired." Whispered Amma.

"Very tired. She must've worked hard." Replied Christian with a deep whisper as his hand rested on top of the wall, looking deeply at his daughter sleep.

Hey." Amma said soothingly as she stood next to her husband and started massaging his tense shoulders. "What's troubling you, my love?"

"Hmm?" Said Christian with his brows raised as he turned to face his wife.

"You can't hide anything from me, Mr Hansen." Smirked Amma as she continued to massage him.

Christian sighed heavily. His wife knew him so well. They've been together since they were children after all. "King Runeard asked something of me today."

Amma's eyes widened. "And?"

"And I don't know what to do about it." Said Christian as he licked his lips. "Part of me wants to help him but..."

"...But part of you doesn't know if it's the right thing to do." Finished Amma for him.

Christian looked to the floor and nodded. "As always my love, you are right."

Amma chuckled and rested her bed on his broad shoulder. "I am sure that whatever choice you make will be the right choice. Just as long as you follow your heart."

Christian turned to his wife. "You think so?"

She nodded. "I know so. And even if it turns out that the outcome is not what you wanted, the sun will rise the next day and you will still be a proud father to Nora."

She placed a deep kiss on his lips and then looked up at him. "And a proud husband of mine."

Christian smiled at her as he breathed heavily again and turned to watch his daughter still asleep.

She was right. No matter what, he was still a proud father to Nora and blessed to have a wife like Amma.

"Now come. Let's retire to bed." Said Amma patting his shoulder.

His brows furrowed. "Already? It's a little early don't you think?"

He turned to look at his wife who was now leaning on the wall, purposely flashing her curves so he could see through her nightgown with her devilish smirk and lustful brown eyes.

"We're going to be up all night, darling." She said, smirking at him once again.

Christians eyes widened and he had the most dumbfounded face. She didn't need to say more. He quickly closed his daughters door shut and quickly paced toward his wife who ran away from him to make sure he followed her to their bedroom.

Laughing and giggling as the door shut behind them.

When he arose the next day he found his wife sleeping beautifully beside him. Wrapped in his arms as her naked leg laid rest on top of his abdomen.

He gently moved her naked body to the side as he rose up from the bed and went straight to bathe to clean himself from last night's luxurious activity.

He was quieter than usual this morning. He even had a longer bath than usual. He readied himself with the full Arendellian guard uniform put on.

He looked at his reflection almost as if he was staring at his future. Full of uncertainty.

He turned to his sleeping naked wife who was still in deep sleep. He smiled as he watched her crazy ginger hair all over the place.

He bent down gently and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek to which she twitched and grinned slightly all while still asleep.

"I love you. I'll see you later at the festival." He whispered before he rose up again and headed out the door.

Every morning before he left the house he did the same thing. Kissing his wife goodbye and going to his daughters room to which he barely just opened a small crack of her door.

He peeked inside and much like her mother she too was in deep sleep with her auburn locks all over the place and her eyes dead shut.

He smiled lovingly as he watched his daughter sleep warm, gently and secure in her own bed.

"Our lives will change starting today, darling. I promise." He whispered. Then he closed her door and walked out his home door.

The fog was still out and the weather hung in the air in a cool breeze. It was still rather dark and very early in the morning.

He jumped on top of his own horse, adjusted the reigns and began to trail down towards the trail that led to the castle.

He looked back quickly at his farm again. His home. Savoring the beautiful view. Than he continued down towards destiny.

Arendelle's castle was as expected. Even at such an early day as today the castle was already awake and in full movement with the whole staff making wary preparations before the hour.

The whole Arendellian guard was there in it's entirety. All of it. And this worried him greatly.

He looked around the faces of his fellow men who were all sharing laughter with one another, even enjoying breakfast like they were excited for today's celebration.

They were so young... so full of life...

Even Mattias was enjoying himself. Clearly flirting with Helima who just so happened to be at the castle today very early, contributing todays festival with her goods from her shop.

"So... I'll see you at the festival?" Said Mattias smirking at her.

"Hmm. I'll guess we'll just have to wait and find out." She replied with a smirk on her face.

Mattias had every right to be interested in her. The woman was very beautiful he thought to himself as he passed through the large crowd of people.

"OOF!"

THUD!

Christian's eyes widened as he realized he had bumped into a young maid carrying a basket full of clean, folded laundry. "Oh my goodness. My apologies miss-"

"I'm fine! I'm fine! It was my fault my lord. Please forgive me." Said the young maid as she started picking up the fallen clothing with panic.

Christian noticed that she was fairly young. She had a uptight nose and brunette hair and was very thin.

"What's your name, young lady?" Christian asked.

"Hmm? Oh! Uh- Gerda. My name is Gerda, my lord." She replied shyly.

"Pleased to meet you, Gerda. I'm Christian." The lieutenant greeted with a slight bow. "How long have you been working here?"

"Not long. I just started about a week ago..." Gerda explained as she finished putting the clean clothes in the basket she was carrying and stood up.

"Lieutenant Hansen is my servant bothering you?" Came a haunting and rather judgmental voice as he turned around.

Gerda gasped and her eyes widened at the familiar voice.

"Queen Rita." He said with a respectful deep bow.

The King's wife wore a large purple dress. The largest dress he'd ever seen on a queen, not less a woman.

Her presence wasn't rude but it also wasn't respectful. Her gaze was like a hawk, always ready to snatch at the worst in you yet she always seemed to be gullible.

Her hair was dark and her skin clear white and she had a rather rounded chin.

"I apologize if she has. The girl is not rather smart as you can tell and she just started a week ago. Can't you see you mustn't bother the Lieutenant girl?" Said the Queen with judgmental brows and rather calming yet frightening voice.

"I-I'm so sorry, Queen Rita. I did not mean-"

"She wasn't a bother at all." Said Christian suddenly with his hands behind his back. "I was just complementing young Gerda here how impressed I am with the work she's done. Considering the fact she's been working here only a week."

Gerda's eyes widened. He was defending her.

"Hmm, I see. Well I suppose hiring them young has its benefits after all." Said Rita.

"I suppose so, your majesty." Said Christian with a smirk and fast wink at Gerda.

"Well, I suppose I'll be excusing myself then. Your majesty." He said bowing before the queen and then turning to Gerda and doing likewise. "My lady."

He turned to leave and walked away further into the hall towards where the king was.

Gerda was left dumbfounded. Impressed and surprised how a Lieutenant of the guard of all people defended her.

"Well then. What are you standing around for girl. The prince needs fresh laundry. Is that not it what you process in your arms?" Said the queen.

"Right! Of course my apologies!" Said Gerda as she hurried up the stairs to Agnarr's room.

Christian arrived at the grand chambers. The two same guards on duty from yesterday. He inhaled deeply before nodding at the two who nodded in return and let him enter.

When Christian entered he found the king speaking with a young man. He was a rather skinny man and his hair brown with a hint of red but his nose was very large.

He held up several capes in his arms. All a variety of flashing beautiful colorsfit for a king.

They turned to look towards the doors where Christian was standing tall. But King Ruenard didn't acknowledge the lieutenant whatsoever. He only stared and then turned back to the capes and the young man.

"Leave us, Kai." Ordered the king. "And leave the green one here."

"Yes, your majesty." Said the young man as he bowed and quickly excused himself out of the chambers, passing by the lieutenant who know stood with his hands behind his back.

Painful silence hung in the air again. And this time Ruenard was not turning his back.

"Have you come to a decision yet, Lieutenant?" He spoke boldly.

Christian sighed deeply and looked back at the king. "Your majesty, I am with you. But I must know-"

"There is nothing to know. You are either with me or you are not." Said the king boldly as he grabbed the cape and his gloves as he started to walk towards Christian.

"Your majesty please-"

"I'm entrusting you to be prepared to give the signal of the attack and to arrange every man in position." Said the king as he tied the cape around his neck."Open the doors."

The guards did as they were told and king Ruenard stepped outside to the hall. Christin quickly followed behind.

"King Runeard, I'm sorry, I... don't understand." Said Christian as he walked down the hall with his king just ahead of him.

"We bring Arendelle's full guard." King Runeard replied firmly as he stuffed the gloves firmly into his hands.

"But they have given us no reason not to trust them."

King Ruenard stopped dead in his tracks, causing Christian to accidentally bump into him. He quickly looked down as the king turned to look at Christian with fiery eyes.

It was clear he was tired of Christian asking. And so if he wanted to know he would tell them.

"The Northuldra follow magic. Which means we can never trust them." Said King Ruenard as Christian listened with furrowed brows.

"Magic makes people feel too powerful. Too entitled. It makes them think they can defy the will of a king." Runeard explained before he walked away.

Christian blinked several times before he too walked down the stairs in the grand hall to follow him. "You see, the dam will weaken their lands, so they will have to turn to me. They will come in celebration. And then, we will know their size, and strength."

It was hard to hear but the king has this all planned since the beginning. He followed him until they reached the large palace where the king was welcomed with great applause.

"May I present to you, King Ruenard of Arendelle." Announced the young Kai with Gerda next to him as all of the guard and many of the folks people joined in harmony, praising the king and applauding in union.

Christian watched as the king raised his hands and waved, taking in the glory. He watched as Queen Rita joined her husband side and curtsied to him. She too enjoying the glory from the people.

And then there was the young prince. Agnarr, who only followed his mother nearby, standing tall and politely as he was repeatedly told to do.

Everyone grew silent as they waited eagerly for him to speak.

"Today we go to the forest visit our neighbors, the Northudlra. As you are all aware they have generously provided their friendship with us, as we do share northern borders with them-"

Many of them nodded and agreed with the king as they listened to him speak. But Christian was not at all pleased with his words. His worries only grew larger the more the king talked. He could even hear his heart beating heavier and heavier as the kings words seemed to fade away.

"-so I want us all to go and enjoy our time together. Let us learn their ways, bond with them, laugh with them and as well teach them our ways." Said the king as many of the people agreed again.

"For we are a kingdom of friendship." The large crowd cheered louder. "We always look out for others around us. And we will always honor our kingdom well!"

"Everything we do, we do for our great kingdom!"

Mattias and even all the men were cheering along. There was not one person in that room who wasn't cheering except for Christian.

"For Arendelle!" Exclaimed the king with his fist in the air.

They cheered in union all together. Loud and proudly that it filled all of Arendelle's ears. Repeating after him.

"FOR ARENDELLE!"

"FOR ARENDELLE!"

"FOR ARENDELLE!"

The crown prince looked up at his father proudly and with amazement like he was the greatest hero of all time, he too joining in with the crowd.

All while Christian watched with worry.

Northuldra

Deep into the enchanted forest there was peaceful wind that passed through the trees and through a peaceful people.

The environment surrounding the trees was full of beauty and the reindeer trailed among the forest in a large heard as several men commanded them to return to their shelter.

There in next to the lake was a man who was sticking his fingers into the lakes water, feeling disgruntled with a concerned expression on his face.

It was clear that whatever he was feeling in the waters did not seem like a good thing.

But he has no time to wait. For he stood up and headed straight back to the camp.

There the mysterious Northuldra people prepared their provisions with much food, grain and endless reindeer coating and meat to give around.

The people were in the matter of happiness, full of life as they made sure not one family member stayed behind in their tents for this great celebration today.

And among this peaceful crowd of people was a young girl, running and skipping across the her people. Her home.

She grinned endlessly as the wind and fall leaves followed her almost as if they had been playing a game of tag.

And out of all the teepees pitched around, there in the middle stood the tallest one with the largest space that could fit a whole town inside.

The man walked though the people as they all acknowledged him. Nodding their head in respect to him as he headed to the largest teepee in the camp.

He held a staff in his hand that was decorated with feathers and pearls. He had long grey hair and much like the Northuldra people, his cheekbones were high.

He seemed older than most of his people but at the same time his good health and slimmed body put him in competition with men half his age.

He looked around as he watched his people in active business. Moving around many gifts and baskets they forged. Stacking many coats in one place with pearls and all fine matter of material found in the forest.

But then that's when he noticed her.

His bright blue eyes smiled as he watched the young girl dance around and play with the fiery chameleon who was jumping with happiness around her.

He watched proudly as her brown hair danced with the wind as well.

"Iduna!" Came the call from a woman.

Iduna stopped dancing immediately as she turned to the voice. "Yes eadni?"

Which in translation meant mother in their language.

"Can you run down to the lake and fetch me two buckets of water my dear?" Said the beautiful woman. Her hair was brown like her, her eyes like honey and her skin fair.

And much like the people, her cheekbones were high and attractive.

"Yes mother. I'll get on it right away!" Said Iduna as she started running towards her tent to grab the bucket.

But she stopped and widened her eyes when she saw the man standing in front of it, smiling lovingly and proudly.

"Áhčči!" She exclaimed. Which in translation in their language meant, father.

Her eyes widened with happiness. Her smile was wider than anyone around as she ran straight into his arms.

He laughed and twirled her in a circle as he too embrace his precious and beautiful daughter.

"My daughter." He spoke in their language, for that is the language they lived by. "You look precious this morning."

"Thank you, áhčči. I am very excited about today!" She replied.

"And you should be, Iduna." He said caressing her cheek and then gesturing to the enchanted forest. "Today we welcome our friends to our home to enjoy this beautiful day."

"Ahčči?" She asked.

"Hmm?" He replied as he turned to look at his daughter.

"How do you think they'll feel about the magic all around them? We live with it but... I don't think they're used to it like we are." Said Iduna as she too joined her father and looked around the forest.

"Well, I suppose it'll be a little weird at first. But give them time, Iduna. They'll come around." He said.

"You think so, áhčči?"

"I know so, daughter." He said smiling lovingly at her as he placed his right hand on her shoulder. "Just as I know that you'll be a great chief one day."

"You are our chief, áhčči." Replied Iduna with a chuckle.

"For now." Smirked the chief as he stood straight and grabbed his staff with his two hands and gently brought it to Iduna's hands. "But one day this staff will be placed in your hands, as well as the security and well being of our people."

The chief allowed Iduna to hold the staff as she looked at it with widened yet shy eyes. She saw her reflection in the staff as his words hit her heart.

She looked up at her father with those soft blue eyes he loved. "I promise I'll lead our people when that day comes."

"I know you will." Said the chief as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Now go and do what your eadni said before we both get in trouble."

Iduna chuckled as she hugged her father back and ran off towards the direction of the lake.

"Iduna." The chief called out.

She stopped dead in her tracks as she turned around with furrowed brows.

"I believe you have something that belongs to me." He said smiling at her as he pointed to his staff she was still holding in her hands. She had forgot to give it back to him.

"Oh, duh!" Exclaimed Iduna as she threw the staff across the air to which he caught easily. "See ya later, pops!"

"Wait." He called out again.

She stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face him again. Now wondering why he was calling her.

"You're forgetting the buckets." He said smiling at her again.

Iduna's eyes widened. "Oh... right..."

She quickly ran towards the teepee and as soon as she entered she was out again with the two buckets in her hands. "Okay now bye for real this time!"

The chief smiled as he watched his daughter run up the hill. His heart happy with love and pride.

"She's quite excited today isn't she?" Came the familiar voice from a woman. He turned to face her and smiled when he saw her.

"Yelena." He acknowledged with a nod.

"Beahkká." She nodded back with a smile of her own.

Indeed it was Yelena. Much younger and in youth and in spirit as she approached the chief and they embraced each other.

Even her hair was darker and not grey like the chiefs yet.

"She's got such a joyful spirit. There's nothing in this world that break it." Said Yelena as they watched her run over there hill till she disappeared.

"At twelve years old too. Let's hope she continues this as she grows older." He said with a sigh.

"How's my older brother doing?" She asked after a moment, smiling at him.

He chuckled and turned to the view in front of him again. "I am happy today, Yelena."

"Don't get too ahead of yourself. You're happy all the time, even as kids. Even when I annoyed you." Said Yelena as she playfully shoved her older brother.

He chuckled again, this time playfully shoving her back. "I believe you meant still annoy me. I suppose I should make an exception once in a while right?"

Yelena chuckled with her brother before her smile drifted away. "Beahkká... should we-"

"I know what you are going to say, Yelena." He said cutting her off. "I know how outspoken you've been about having our warriors patrolling our forest as to make sure nothing happens."

She closed her eyes and sighed heavily. "I just want our people to be safe, Beahkká. You never know what could happen or what these people are capable of. I mean look at our forest, is that dam really supposed to help our waters?"

He smirked at his sister as if it was meant o be forcible. "You've become as serious as our father was, Yelena."

"Hey now. I'm only doing my job. You know I'm the leader of the Northudlra warriors. And it was you who chose me, remember?" She said crossing her arms.

He laughed and patted her arm gently. "I remember. But had I known you've become as serious as our father I would've chosen a reindeer in your place."

"It's part of the job." She said smiling at him as he continued to laugh. "But at least allow me to have two groups patrol the outskirts of the forest. Just bedside the fjords.

He sighed. "Since I know you won't let this go, fine. But only for two hours. And they must rotate with other warriors so everyone enjoys the feast."

"Deal! I'll go inform my troops now!" Said Yelena as she took off towards the opposite direction of the forest.

He laughed as he watched his sister run off and over the hill. But soon his smirk disappeared the second he was alone again and soon his worries returned.

"Chief Beahkká?" Came the voice from a young man. He turned to face the young Northuldra. "You're wife is in need of your opinion for the grains."

"I'll be right there." Said chief Beahkká as he followed the young man.

It was late in the afternoon when the Arendelle contingent arrived at the enchanted forest. The chief has been sitting inside his teepee as he watched his wife braid her hair with the help of their daughter, them too on their knees.

Iduna and her mother were wearing colorful and traditional Northuldra clothing. Light reindeer fur and even leather stripes hanging from their sides.

A custom they wore when performing the dance of the spirits in which her, Iduna and many other women and their daughters were going to be performing today.

And the chief watched lovingly as he smiled and his heart touched while his beautiful wife sang the lullaby she had always sung to Iduna.

Where the North wind meets the sea

There's a river full of memory

Sleep, my darling, safe and sound

For in this river, all is found

In her waters, deep and true

Lie the answers and a path for you

Dive down deep into her sound

But not too far or you'll be drowned

Iduna chuckled as she and her mother finished the last verse together, their voices in beautiful harmony while the chief smiled lovingly.

"You look very beautiful, Sárá."

Thank you, Beahkká. But it's all thanks to your daughter. I forgot how much she loves to braid her." Said the woman smiling as Iduna continued to braid the long lengths.

"It's just very satisfying. Makes my hands feel at ease. Look I even did one myself." Smiled Iduna as she pointed at her one piece of braid in the side of her hair.

The chief chuckled as he his wife turned to look at him. "Beahkká, do me a favor and hand me the casket of scarfs."

The chief nodded and stood up on his feet. He walked over towards the large basket and brought it in front of his wife.

Iduna stepped aside as she watched her mother uncover the layer that was hiding the inside of the basket.

There were many scarfs neatly folded on top of the other. Each one with it's own unique coloring. She went by each scarf one by one until she pulled out the one she she had been looking for.

She took out a fine purple scarf with beautiful engravings in it that told the story of the spirits, a scarf Iduna knew so well and had seen since she was born.

"I love that scarf on you, eadni. It's one of my favorites." Said Iduna as she admired her mother placing it on herself.

Sárá smiled at her daughter lovingly as she bent down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Than after today's performance it shall belong to you."

Iduna's eyes widened. "Really?"

Sárá nodded and caressed her daughters chin. "Really."

"Chief Bhakkeá." Came the voice from outside the tent.

"Yes?" Called out the chief.

"They've arrived. And in great number." Said the man from the other side.

"I see." Said Bhakkeá as he turned to his wife and daughter.

He smiled at them and opened his arms. Iduna and her mother stood up and wrapped themselves in his warm embrace as the three of them held each other for several seconds.

"It's time." He said as they backed up, gently letting go of each other.

"Iduna, why don't you go and make sure the rest of your group is ready." Said Sárá.

Iduna nodded with a smile as she began to walk away. She turned to her father and quickly gave him a hug before running out of the teepee. Beahkká chuckled as she disappeared through the entrance.

Once they were alone, Sárá gently approached her husband and wrapped her arms around his back, resting her chin on his shoulder as she swayed him back and forth.

"Are you going to speak with him?" She asked gently.

Beahkká inhaled deeply before exhaling a stressful sigh. "I feel I must."

"Good." She said placing a gently kiss on his high cheekbone. "It's the right thing to do."

"I hope so." Sighed Beahkká. "He is the king after all."

Indeed the young Northuldra man was right. Arendelle had come in great number as the king led the way in the front of the multitude with his son next to him.

They stood straight with posture respectfully as they met the Northuldra multitude half way. Christian and Mattias were in the front as well, the two co lieutenants leading the example with their hands behind their back to their younger corporals.

Prince Agnarr looked around the majestic entrance to the forest. His brain imagining many scenarios of what the magical spirits truly look like.

"Stand tall, Agnarr." Said the king as he tapped his sons chin.

The prince closed his mouth and did what he was told, smiling at his father as he followed his example and walked to meet the chief who was in the front of his people as well.

The chief met them in the middle, his people following behind and his staff still firm in his hand as he smiled at the king. "King Ruenard, welcome to Northuldra."

The king nodded and smiled as he stuck his hand out. The chief took his hand and firmly shook it up and down in respect. A greeting the king had taught the chief.

For in Northuldra they did not greet with handshakes. They greeted with their hand risen in the air and their elbow in perfect ninety degree angle.

The greeting made Iduna's brows furrow as she stood next to her mother in the back. "Eadni, why do they that? They're hands interlocked??"

"They are greeting each other, Iduna." Said Sárá. "It's how the king and his people greet each other."

"Well that's weird." Said Iduna with her brow up. Her gaze returned to her father and the king but she suddenly noticed the young boy standing next to him. In fact he stuck out so well since he was practically the only young boy there.

She furrowed her brows as her gaze focused on him. He seemed to be her same age or somewhat close to it.

She was about to turn to her mother and ask who that was until her mother placed her finger over her lips, reminding her to be respectful and stay quiet.

"We are honored to be here, Chief Beahkká. And as you have welcomed us, we welcome you. Our neighbors. Our friends." Runeard said, making sure everyone in the crowd heard him.

The chief smiled in return. It was almost as if he forced it again. He stepped back and gestured the king to pass through. "Come, king Ruenard. Let us enjoy this day and feast together."

King Ruenard smiled gratefully as he marched forward with his son and the whole guard following behind.

And indeed it was a feast for the Northudlra had arranged many great gifts, provisions and even food. So much food that it could feed all of Arendelle for two months straight.

King Ruenard likewise brought many of his own kingdoms provisions as they traded gifts, clothes and even grain.

Sharing with one another and delighting in each other's different culture as the king promised true chief and its people that there were more gifts where that came from.

For it was true. There were many families from Arendelle still on their way, including Nora and her mother.

Arendelle surprisingly took the magical spirits rather well. None of them seemed scared by them and they each were shows how the magical spirits help in every day life for the Northuldra.

Even Prince Agnarr was amazed by the spirits and all the many things in the forest. He would stop to look at everything it offered him, even something as simple as the different colors of leaves.

But King Ruenard kept his distance. Instead he looked to be as if he was supervising or planning something.

Than suddenly prince Agnarr's eyes widened as he heard the sudden loud rhythm of drums. He turned to crowd that was gathering in the middle.

He quickly picked up his feet and dashed where in the middle was a wooden floor base set on the ground, almost like a stage.

There he saw a large line of men in the back, drumming all in union. They wore colorful tunics with reindeer fure, face coverings that hid their eyes and reindeer antlers on their heads.

Then a long line of women came from behind danced to the woofer floor. Them too wearing colorful tunics with pears and bracelets, all matter of colorful and precious things tied around them.

The older woman had scarfs wrapped around them while the younger ones did not.

They danced in rhythm to the drum. Moving their body as if they were praising this land and the spirits within.

Stomping their feet, skipping in union and purposely moving their arms in rotation like a raven as the cut end strips of their tunics moved like a bird flying.

Everyone who saw this beautiful performance cheered and clapped. Taking in the beautiful movement by the Northuldra women. Dancing their heart away.

Iduna was within then, twirling in circles as her beautiful hair flowed with the wind. She took the center stage with the rest of the young girls her age as they skipped up and down while her mother and other women behind her stepped in union.

Within the crowd was her father, the chief. His staff on his right hand holding it and giving him support as always.

The pride he felt towards his daughter could not be any larger that day. He watched her intake the dance and move so easily with her body, calling their ancestors before her.

Christian than made his way over to see the beautiful performance as he wrapped his hands in front of him as he watched.

He stood right next to the chief. None of them said a word to each other or even acknowledged they were next to each other. Perhaps they didn't even see each other.

For they were too focused on seeing the girl in front of them. For Iduna made Christians thoughts turn to his daughter.

Her dancing, her smile and her spirit reminded him so much of Nora.

Who just so happened to be dashing through the forest with her mother. Each riding a horse of their own as they enjoyed the cool Scandinavian wind blowing through their hairs and laughing with one another.

She too eager to see her father and enjoy time with him at the feast in the enchanted forest.

As Christian watched Iduna dance there was only one thing that ran through his mind.

That whoever her father was must feel really proud just as he did at this precise moment. And little did he know that her father stood right next to him.

It was then where he realized that this girls dancing changed his heart. And it was when he realized that he couldn't possibly go through with what king Ruenard was requesting.

For that was not who he was. Nor what he would want his own daughter to see or remember him by.

And these people were a people of peace. There was not one sign of them overtaking the kingdom or their thirst for power.

And so he made a personal decision that day. That he would not go forth with the kings plan. And all this occurred as Prince Agnarr watched with his father, the king.

And the young crown prince was also amazed by the beautiful dancing, especially from the girl with beautiful brown hair and blue eyes.

Chief Beahkká had been staring at the king from the corner of his eye. Although he didn't tell anyone, he had planned to talk with the king like he had mentioned to his wife.

For truth be told he was angry. Angry for the dam he constructed and the short supply of water that they were suffering from.

Angry that it was hurting the forest. Their home.

The king stood with unamused with his fake expression. His hands resting on top of his sons shoulders as his eyes did all the talking. Almost as if he was executing a plan already.

The dance of the spirits ended and everyone clapped loudly in union. Iduna smiled at the praise as she and the rest of the women walked off the small wooden floor and back to the teepees to change out of their clothes.

The chief needed to talk with the king alone. And he needed to do it quickly.

He started walking through the crowd where the king was whispering with three guards in secrecy.

"King Ruenard." Said the chief.

The king turned around and quickly forced a smile. "Chief Beahkká, to what do I owe the privilege. Leave us." He added to the guards as they did what they were told.

Christian had furrowed his brows. He had watched the chief go up to the king and noticed his whispering. Those three guards happened to be trouble makers in their militia. Skilled fighters but always looking for trouble.

So why were they whispering with the king?

"The reindeer riding competition is about to start!" Came the loud exclamation followed by a thunderous cheer and applause.

"Reindeer riding?" Chuckled the king. "I'd never heard of such a thing. Should we go and see what it's about, Agnarr?"

Agnarr nodded but the chief quickly stepped in. "Actually there is an important matter I wanted to discuss with you, king Ruenard."

"It can wait. Let us go see what this is about." Said the king as he and Agnarr started to walk away.

"King Ruenard, our home is dying!" the sudden loud exclaim from the chief.

Agnarr's eyes widened at hearing this and the king was clenching his fist. But soon he chuckled at the exclaim. "Agnarr, go on and watch the reindeer. I'll catch up."

Agnarr didn't know how to feel at first. But Ruenard tapped his chin. A gesture meaning to do what he told. And so Agnarr did and went to the reindeer.

Christian however had been one of the few who had heard the exchange. He stood at the back of the large crowd and had been studying both the king and the chief since he made the decision to not go forward with the kings plan since seeing the dance of the spirits.

He took notice as the Northudlra chief spoke with the king. His body language in obvious distress.

"King Runeard, the dam isn't strengthening our waters, it's hurting the forest. It's cutting off the north-" chief explained urgently until he was cut off by the king.

"L-let's not discuss this here, let's... meet on the fjord, have tea, find a solution." Runeard replied with his hand risen.

Christian had a bad feeling in his heart. His brows furrowed at the strange exchange as the crowd continued to cheer enthusiastically.

"Corporal." He said turning to one of the nearby guards who had been cheering with the large crowd.

The Corporal quickly seized his cheering and stood straight for his commanding officer. "Yes lieutenant?"

"Find Lieutenant Mattias. I need to speak with him urgently." He said as he walked away.

The Corporal nodded and immediately ran off to find Mattias. Christian walked towards the hidden trees where he saw the chief lead the way to the trail and before he knew it they disappeared to where the fjord was.

Christian's eyes furrowed again as he started to take a step to where they had gone but was soon pulled back by a man as he erupted into loud laughter and cheering.

"Can you believe this?" Laughed Mattias. "Reindeer riding! Who would've ever thought this was more exciting to watch than cornhole."

"Mattias, there's something I need to tell you-"

"Mmm, that reminds me." Said Mattias cutting him off as he set down his cup of ale and wiped his lips. "Our outside patrol guards gave me word that our people should be here soon."

Christians eyes widened. "Soon?"

"Yeah you're daughter and wife too. They're about 10 minutes away." Chuckled Mattias before he scratched his goatee. "Hey how do I look. Think I should've shaved for Helima?"

His heart was suddenly pounding as he looked around the cheering crowd full of Arendellian guards and Northuldra citizens. Even children were among them.

And worse, now Arendellian citizens were on their way with children of their own. And in Christian's case, his own child. Because he knew war was going to break out soon unless he stopped it.

His panicking eyes turned to the crown prince who's attentive eyes seemed to be drawn to the outskirts of the forest where a young girl was playing with the leaves and the wind, running in circles as her beautiful brown hair flew freely.

Christian quickly started sprinting towards the trail where the king and the chief had gone to, he needed to stop whatever was about to happen.

"Hey! Where you going!? Amma and Nora are gonna be here soon-"

"Mattias, listen to me!" Exclaimed Christian as he turned to face his colleague. "I need you to tell our men to stay alert!"

"What? Christian what the hell are you talking about-"

"Please just listen!" Exclaimed Christian even louder. "Tell every single men, get the word around and protect the crown prince at all costs!"

Mattias couldn't even reply because Christian took off again, holding the handle of his sword as he ran through the trail.

Mattias was still confused with what was going on but decided not to argue further as he quickly looked over to where prince Agnarr was making his way through the crowd.

"Corporal." Said Mattias suddenly to one of the nearby guards.

"Yes lieutenant?"

"Be on high alert. Get the word around." He said.

"Yes sir." Replied the Corporal as he took off to tell the others. Mattias furrowed his brows and lifted his ale to his lips again before joining the crowd in cheers.

The chief led the way to a hidden field just right in front of the majestic fjord where not a soul was around and where they can be in private.

"Here we are. I'll start on the tea." Said the chief as he walked forward to a bush just nearby.

Ruenard adjusted the gloves in his hands as he watched the Chief bend down and pick out the herbs from the bush, carefully making sure to separate what was good and what was not.

Ruenard kept tapping his finger on the handle, almost as if he was thinking about something.

"You're forest seems fine to me, Chief Beahkká." Said Ruenard suddenly as the chief stopped and turned to look at the king with furrowed brows.

"Well it's not." Said the chef boldly. "Our plants are dying and with it our grain. I've seen it myself. We have to put in double the work just to find water to farm."

"That shouldn't be possible. The dam is supposed to help at all times. Perhaps someone in your tribe is causing all this."

"What?" Asked the chief with furrowed brows as he stood tall.

"Perhaps someone in your tribe is a traitor, Chief Beahkká. Maybe using some sort of dark magic." Said the king this time more serious.

The chiefs brows furrowed with annoyance as he gripped his staff. "There is not black magic in our forest because we are a peaceful people. The spirits assist in our needs when they choose to and have since the beginning of our peoples story."

"All I'm saying Chief Beahkká is to be careful with magic around you." Said Ruenard in a deep and mellow voice. "Because it can make someone too powerful."

The chief stood his ground. He didn't know what the king was getting at but he had heard enough. "Believe me, king Ruenard. Our people don't care for power. We have no interest in it."

Painful silence hung in the air before the chief turned around and mashed the herbs and pouring boiling water from his reindeer feathered canteen.

Then he grabbed two small ceremony wooden cups from his pouch and with it filled it with herbs and slowly poured the boiling water into the cups.

The king watched bitterly as the chief knelt down and offered the drink to spirits, thanking them in his language before held it in his hands and closed his eyes to bring the ceremony drink up to his lips.

King Ruenard had had enough of him and his people. He slowly drew out his sword and started marching towards the chief who was about to drink the tea with his eyes closed.

The king raised his sword up to the heavens as he brought it down to cut the chief in half and send him to whatever he place he came from.

But the chiefs eyes opened and he quickly grabbed his staff and blocked the sword. Spilling the ceremony tea on the all over the dirt ground.

He held the kings sword with his staff as the king tried harder to push down on him. But the chief rested on leg up and then flicked his staff up which caused the king to lose his balance and step back.

The chief rose to his feet. His grip hard on his staff while the other hand formed a fist. He stool tall and not at all afraid.

"Leave our forest. Now." Warned the chief as Ruenard eyed him angrily.

"You're forest?" Replied the king darkly with a demonic smile. "Because of the dam; you're forest belongs to me now. As do you'repeople."

"I knew you built that dam to hurt us." Said the chief shaking his head angrily.

"How smart you are. I suppose I didn't take the indigenous to actually think with their brain." Hissed the king as he started to encircle the chief who still stood his ground.

"Why are you doing this." Demanded the chief. "What have we ever done to you."

"What have you ever-" chuckled the king darkly before exclaiming loudly. "Everything! You and you're people are dangerous and should be left out of our society!"

"My people have been nothing but peaceful to yours and we have never bothered anyone until you arrived." Retaliated the chief.

"For now. But what's to say you wouldn't use that dark magic of yours to conquer Arendelle. Or worse, to conquer kingdoms. You people possess too much power. Even over a king." Said Ruenard darkly as he stopped encircling stared at the chief.

The chief let out a unamused snark. "For thousand of years my people have sought nothing nor desired power over their neighbors, nor even kingdoms. Even your ancestors, the great Vikings, we always left alone and as did they."

"And look how they turned out." Growled the king meanwhile the people back at camp continued in celebration of the reindeer competition.

The chief inhaled deeply. "Leave our home."

The king looked down at his sword, gripping it hard before he looked up at the chief again.

Christian who had been running arrived at the last entrance to the fjord but there were only two trails of trees to choose from. A left side and a right side. His mind went blank.

He breathed heavily and with panic as he looked at the two trails, unsure which one the chief and the king had gone to.

"I will.. once I make sure the last Northuldran takes it's final breath... YAH!" Exclaimed the king.

The king charged at the chief who immediately raised his staff up and began to counter every strike the king threw at the chief.

Christian quickly took a chance and dashed through the left side of the forest where the trail went.

King Ruenard's strikes were viscous. The large man was strong with every lethal attack that all the cheif could do was block every coming strike at him.

The chief raised the staff with the hands, stoping the king from striking him again. But the king slid his sword down his staff and cut the front side of his right arm.

"Uhhh!" Hissed the chief as he grabbed ahold of his upper arm, stinging with pain. He was already bleeding though the sleeves in his tunic.

Prince Agnarr finally made his way through the cheering crowd as he hid behind a tree where he saw the young Northuldran girl be lifted up by the wind, practically guiding her around like she was a raven.

Christian dashed through the forest trees, going as fast as he possibly could to get to the king and the chief.

Chief Beakkhá held his arm as he continued to counter the strikes the king was performing. But once again the king took advantage of an opening and cut the the Chief this time his left thigh, straight across to the bone.

"Uhhhh!" Exclaimed the chief as he grabbed ahold of his thigh, falling to his knee and just barely hanging on by the staff.

The king waved his sword in circles as he was ready to sling it across the chiefs face. But the chief bit his tongue and quickly rolled out of the way.

Then he lifted his staff again and slammed it across Ruenard's face.

The king grunted as he grabbed his chin, adjusting it and wiping the blood from the opened up bruised lip. He spat into he floor, looking at his red blood before looking up at the struggling chief who was back on his feet, bleeding through his breachers now.

"All that for a drop of blood." Grinned the king madly.

He tightened the grip oh his handle and sprinted forward as he began to strike at the chief harder and faster than before.

The chief tried his best, countering as many strikes as he could with only one hand. But he was losing his balance and was losing too much blood. He was barely able to stay out in his feet.

The king continued to throw strikes at him, even causing the chief to no longer be able to raise his staff upright as he continued to step further and further back.

Meanwhile Christian was about to arrive to the entrance of the fjord while prince Agnarr was slowly coming out of the hidden tree to go up to the young girl to talk to her and play with her as she laughed while the wind carried her beautifully.

Then in one fast move the king spun around and sliced his sword upwards across the chiefs back, causing him to gasp and choke for air.

And it was at that exact moment that when Christian arrived at the entrance that his eyes widened.

Dead end.

The king watched as the chiefs eyes widened at the pain. He walked back to the front and this time ran his blade across the chiefs chest, even digging in and causing the chief to gasp for air again.

The chief fell slowly to his knees as blood spattered out of his chest and out of his back. He looked up at Ruenard who looked back at him. His eyes full of satisfaction and hatred.

Then the chief fell backwards as the staff slipped out of his hands at the same time.

And at that precise moment, three of the guards who had kept hidden within the crowd jumped from behind. The same guards the king had been talking to earlier.

They drove their blades into three Northuldrans, including one of them, a pregnant woman.

A little Northudlran girl nearby watched as her mom screamed in agony at the realization her womb was opened. She fell to the floor, trying to cover her pregnant belly but soon bled to death.

And the little girl who watched this screamed loudly that the whole forest heard it. Even Christian as he turned around with widened eyes.

"No..." he whispered.

Mattias and his men looked around to see where that came from. "What's going on!"

One of the drummers who performed during the dance of the spirits came running to where the screaming girl was.

He looked down and his eyes widened when he realized one of the dead Northuldrans was his pregnant wife.

He fell to the floor and tried picking her up, hoping there was some sort of breath in her but she was gone.

His eyes focused on her dead and pale face. He looked back to his screaming daughter and then followed footprints on the dirt from boots he'd never seen before.

There he found three Arendellian guards running through the crowd, trying to escape from the brutal crime scene.

The Northudlran man's face grew dark. Tears still in his face as he rose up from the ground and grabbed his spear inside the teepee.

Than he ran past his crying daughter and lifted his leg on a nearby boulder. Than with the push he lifted himself up and jumped high into the sky.

Mattias saw this from the corner of his eye and was able to see the antlered Northudlran man flying in the air as he shot his spear forward and into the crowd.

He followed the spear as it flew over their heads of many in the crowd until it struck one of the Arendellian guards who had been running and drove straight through his back and out through his stomach.

Then all hell broke loose.

"Everyone get in formation!" Exclaimed Mattias as they began to draw out their swords and shield as many Northuldran charged with their spears, knifes and slingshots.

War had begun.

The wind spirit set Iduna down as she furrowed her brows to see where the commotion was coming from. Agnarr turned as well only to see war happening right before his eyes.

Iduna's eyes widened but before she knew it the wind spirit carried her up and away from the forest, leaving the prince by himself as he watched the horrendous scene before him.

"Protect the prince!" Exclaimed Mattias as he drove his sword inside a Northuldran man who was charging at him with a spear.

Christian was sprinting now through the other trail on the right side, trying to arrive as quickly as he can. But out of nowhere many Northuldrans jumped out from the high trees and surrounded Christian from proceeding any further.

And there in the front of the surrounding Northudlran warriors was Yelena as she pointed her spear at him.

Christian Drew out his sword and stuck his hand out. "Please. I'm not here to hurt you I'm-"

But it was too late. Several of the warriors charged all at once and began to drive their spear and knives at him.

But Christian was far too skilled. He jumped out of the way and was forced to counter every attack from left to right.

One of the warriors had the spear right on his neck, ready to slice it off. Christian closed his eyes, almost as if he was regretting what he was going to to do.

Then he drove his word across the young Northuldrans throat, having no choice but to kill him as several others charged at him again as he too killed every one of them as Yelena watched with widened eyes.

Many Arendellian guards were falling too. Many of them had spears across their bodies and rocks stuck in their forehead.

"Keep fighting! Don't quit!" Exclaimed Mattias as he blocked several rocks from a Northudlran woman who was approaching him.

He ducked down and threw her across the field with this shield before looking up again in panic. "Prince Agnarr! Prince Agnarr answer me!"

Agnarr was his responsibility and he was nowhere to be found as he looked around the horrible war scene in front of him.

But then he saw the young prince cornered near the tree as he too watched the horrible war scene in front of him.

Mattias quickly ran across the field, pushing every Northudlran and Arendellian aside with his shield.

One of the Northudlran warriors was approaching the young prince with his spear. Agnarr's eyes widened but suddenly a sword went through the man's stomach.

Agnarr gasped as he saw Mattias emerge from behind who then turned around and blocked another spear that was going his way.

He grabbed the end with his hand, holding it for resistance before driving his shield into the man's skull, leaving him paralyzed.

"Get behind me!" Exclaimed Mattias as he guarded the prince and pushed a Northudlran man away with his shield.

Christian slayed four of the ten Northudlran warriors, every one who had been attacking him as they laid in the ground of their own blood pool.

Yelena leaped from behind and wrapped her strong legs around his throat, catching him completely off guard.

She made him collide his back against tree. He struggled to breathe as she continued to put more pressure on his throat.

She pulled out the knife from her leather strap and drove it down to kill Christian. But Christian quickly grabbed the knife with his hand and held it firmly.

Yelena tried as hard as she can, pushing the knife down with her two hands while Christian held it off with one.

The remaining warriors charged at Christian to take him out before he did anything, but Christian was fast and pushed the blade up into into Yelena's shoulder.

"Ahhh!" She exclaimed. Giving Christian enough time to push her off.

She landed painfully on her back as Christian quickly leaped forward and grabbed a large chunk of her braided hair with his hands.

She screamed in agony as he pulled her hair, forcing her body to sit up from the ground. Her hands went from her head to her shoulder, not knowing which hurt he most at the moment.

"AHHH!" She exclaimed again as he pulled out the bloody knife from her shoulder and brought it to her throat.

The warriors immediately seized from pursuing any further to strike at Christian once they realized he was only an inch away from cutting her throat.

"Do it! Attack me and she dies!" Exclaimed Christian as they all looked at each other, scared of what they should do. "Tell them to drop their weapons!

Yelena said nothing as her eyes were full of anger. "Tell them!" He exclaimed as he pulled her hair back again.

She yelled in pain again and did as she was instructed, commanding her warriors in their language to drop their spears.

Christian watched carefully, making sure none of them made a move. Then he grabbed Yelena's hair again and threw her across the field with her knife as well.

The warriors quickly retrieved Yelena, helping her up to her feet as she held her shoulder from the painful stab. But when they looked up they saw Christian disappearing into the trail.

She picked up her spear, ready to follow him when suddenly they heard the loud exclaims from the camp. Her people.

"Čielgi vai två vuoluš!" She exclaimed as they ran back. Which in translation meant "Back to the camp!"

King Ruenard stood before the chief's body as he struggled for air with blood spitting out of his mouth.

He raised his sword up again, ready to drive it into the chiefs heart until suddenly a strong wind blew across the field and at the king. Taking him back as he flew and hit his head hard on the trees.

The wind spirit then came down with Iduna who had seen the man be thrown across, her brows furrowed as she looked to see if he was alive.

But then she heard the grunting of a man. And when she turned around her eyes widened and she gasped when she realized who it was.

"Áhčči?" She whispered as her lips trembled.

His body was practically trembling in pain as blood continued to squirt out of his chest and the floor was filled with a pool of his blood from the slice he took to the back.

"Nieida..." he said gasping for air. Which is to say daughter is their language.

"ÁhččI.. Áhčči.. no no no." She whispered as she kneeled down, gently placing her hands over his weak and fading body as tears started to fill her eyes.

"Leave me, nieida. Go and save yourself.." He said hissing as his stomach tightened in pain.

"No I-I can still save you I'll-I'll call the wind spirit to take us.. I'll-"

"Nobody is going to come.. you must leave me, Iduna... I am a dead man. But you must live.." he said, barely above a whisper as he coughed more blood.

Iduna whimpered as tears rolled down her cheeks endlessly. Pressing on her father wound, hoping it would solve anything. Something.

But he was breathing his lasts breath.

She looked up at him, crying harder than before as she started to shake from the intense emotion going through her. "I can't lose you, áhčči... Please... Please don't leave me!"

He reached for the staff that was next to him, grunting in pain before bringing it closer and grabbing her hand in his as he placed the staff in her palms.

"Go and lead our people. Protect them at all costs and be the chief that I know you were meant to be." He said gripping his hand on top of hers as she held the staff.

Tears fell to his bloody chest as she whimpered harder. Repeatedly exclaiming her fathers name, begging him to stay with her.

He looked at her softly as she looked at him. He lifted his weak hand and gently pressed it against her cheek, caressing her lovingly, comforting her in his last moments.

"Dahkat ii gávdnot ballat…" he breathed out.

Which in translation meant. "Don't be afraid..."

She stared at him as he stared back at her lovingly as if if he was savoring his last moments.

And indeed it was. Her father rested his head flat on the ground as his soul left his deep blue eyes and soon they were replaced with grey ones.

The great chief was dead.

Iduna screamed in agony. Mourning the loss of her father as she hugged his lifeless head. She had cried more than anything she had ever cried for. Tears rolling down like waterfalls as she called for him.

"Please don't leave me..." she continued to cry out as she rested her head on his.

Suddenly she felt the leaves moving near her as she gasped to turn where that came from, her eyes still full of tears.

There standing up and supporting himself in the tree was King Ruenard. Massaging the back of his head from the hard bump he took.

Iduna's teary eyes widened as she saw the man who had murdered her father.

The kings eyes met with the young Northudlran girl and he growled as he started making his way to Iduna, pacing forward with the sword in his hand gripped even harder that before.

Iduna gasped as she turned to her deceased father again, trying everything she could to pull his body out of the way. But he was just far too heavy.

She trembled in fear as the king got closer to her. He raised the sword above his head and it came down fast towards Iduna ready to kill her too.

She closed her eyes in fear as she held the staff tightly, thinking she would meet her end like her father did when suddenly.

"ZINNNGGGG!"

Iduna opened her eyes, touching her chest and head as if she was checking if anything was cut off.

She blinked several times, wondering where that noise came from before following her eyes to the point of the kings blade where there there was another blade collided.

She gasped and her eyes widened when she saw who it was.

There in front of Iduna and holding the kings blade with his own was Lieutenant Christian Hansen.

The king struggled and growled as he summoned all the strength he could to push the blade down. But Christian didn't budge once. Instead he stayed firm as he met the kings strength easily.

Iduna watched dumbfounded as Christian shoved the king backwards, making him trip backwards and away from Iduna while the lieutenant guarded her with his body.

The king frowned even deeper as tightened his grip at the sword. "TRAITOR!" He yelled out.

Christian only focused his glare at the king as Iduna held unto the back of his leg and her heart skipped faster.

"I knew you would coward out last minute. And for what!? For these indigenous bastards!" Exclaimed the king angrily. He was practically spitting at this point. "You betrayed us. You betrayed Arendelle!"

"No, your majesty." Said Christian as he tightened his grip on handle. "You have."

The king exclaimed angrily as he charged at Christian. But Christian quickly shoved Iduna out of the way and kept her behind him as he countered every strike the king threw at him.

Whenever the king struck with his right, Christian countered with his left. When the king reached to grab Iduna Christian only punched and shoved the king away.

Iduna squealed as the blade almost connected with her but Christian was on the other side, connecting his sword with the kings and making sure he did nothing to Iduna.

The king tried to pull a cheap shot towards Christian as he drove the blade to go through his heart, but Christian moved out of the way and pulled Iduna with him.

Then he collided his fist with the kings stomach and threw his blade to his other hand and with it he slashed the kings face across.

"UHHH!" He grunted in pain as the king grabbed his bloody face and fell down on one knee.

Christian wasted no time as he turned to the young girl holding the staff and picked her up in his arms. "We have to go!"

"Áhčči!" Exclaimed Iduna as she watched her dead father lay on the floor lifeless, drifting further and further away as Christian ran through the forest with her.

He sprinted as fast as he could across the forest with Iduna now hanging unto his back. He jumped over boulders and fallen trees and ducked over branches. But suddenly a large spear barely just missed his face as it went straight through a large tree where they were running past.

"Whoa!" Exclaimed Christian as Iduna gasped.

They turned the direction of where the spear was thrown and there was a multitude of Northudlra natives charging at them with Northudlran battle cries coming from their mouths.

"Bissehit! Slår almmái leat mielde mun!"Exclaimed Iduna to her people, which in translation meant "Stop! The man is with me!"

She exclaimed repeatedly, trying to convince her people to stop but they would not listen. Christian readied in position to defend himself until suddenly he heard loud roars coming from his left side.

And there were a multitude of Arendellian guards charging towards the Northuldra so they can proceeded to kill each other.

They met in the middle and soon enough the sounds of metal and spears colliding filled all of their ear as they battled one another where Iduna and Christian stood. Christian set Iduna down and grabbed her hand. "Follow me, don't let go!"

Iduna had no idea what this man was saying. She didn't speak their language. Only her father did and a few of her people who picked it up.

But the only thing she did know is that this man was different from them. And so she followed his lead as he guided her through the battlefield.

Iduna watched as the man cleared the way. He would shove his own people aside, preventing them from getting any closer while at the same time countering every attack her people threw at him.

He was tremendously skilled and was easily countering every move from both parties while at the same time guiding her through the crowd.

She tried everything she could to calm her people. Yelling at them in their language to seize fighting, but there was so much hatred that no one had been listening.

And Christian knew that. That's why he didn't bother stopping the Arendellians.

They were blood drunk.

When they finally reached the camp again it was even worse than where they had just come from. There was bloodshed everywhere. Many fallen by the spear, but far more fallen by the sword.

He looked around anxiously trying to find safety for the girl. And at last when he finally did he ran towards that direction.

Christian guided Iduna to the back of the Boulder and placed her there as he made her duck down and hide. "Stay here!" He exclaimed as he sprinted into the camps battlefield.

Iduna didn't have to speak their language to know that he wanted her to stay put. And so she did what she was told as she watched in horror as the war continued on.

She watched as Christian shoved his way through the battle. He would purposely cut her people and knock them out cold, doing this purposely to not kill them. He even caught a spear in mid air as it was going straight to him and only ended up with throwing it back.

But why? Why was he doing this? It was clear to her that he didn't want to kill them. He simply wanted the fighting to end. And so did she.

Everything was adding up now. The king who killed her father was the one who instigated the whole rivalry. Turning her people and theirs against each other.

It made sense why the man who rescued her also seemed to be on neither side, only wanting to get her to safety and made sure everyone stopped killing each other.

"We were at peace. Both of our people. This war should have never happened." Said Iduna to herself as the sounds of war continued ringing in her head.

She quickly rose to her feet and began to yell again. "Bissehit fággádit!" She exclaimed in her language.

"Stop fighting please!" She exclaimed repeatedly, hoping at least one of her people would listen to her. "Our chief is dead!"

But no one would listen to her. And it seemed she wasn't the only one struggling with the same issue.

Lieutenant Hansen as was yelling orders at his men. "DROP YOUR WEAPONS! THAT'S AN ORDER!"

But the war was too far in advance that no one would listen. Not even if he used his authority as lieutenant.

He spotted Mattias just around the trees where he found him yelling out orders and a encircled shield wall of their men surrounding him and the fearful prince he had been guarding.

All of them making sure that the Northuldra natives didn't pass through to slay the prince or hold him captive. For they all knew he was the son of the king.

"HOLD YOUR POSITIONS! DO NOT LET ONE OF THEM PASS BY-"

"Mattias!" Exclaimed Christian as he sprinted towards the encircled shield wall. "Let me through!"

He shouted as he sliced and killed three Northudlran in front of him who were about to throw spears towards Mattias and the prince.

Regardless of him wanting the battle to end, he was still loyal to the prince. His fathers sins were not on his head.

"Christian! Where the hell have you been!? Our men are dying out here-"

"Mattias we need to call the battle off!" Exclaimed Christian.

Mattias furrowed his brows. "Call the battle off!? What do you mean we're under attack!"

"Mattias just trust me! This isn't what it seems, this war wasn't supposed to happen!" He exclaimed.

Mattias shook his head in disbelief, not at all understanding what his col Lieutenant was saying. Than his brows grew even firmer when he realized something. "Christian, where's the king?"

Christian breathed heavily, still trying to catch his breath from the non stop running. But the question made him freeze for he didn't know how to answer that to Mattias, let alone right in front of the kings son.

"Where is the king, Christian." Demanded Mattias with worry and skepticism in his voice as the prince widened his eyes.

"Mattias... I had to-"

Suddenly a loud horn sounded off throughout the whole forest. Catching everyone attention as they turned to the direction of where it came from.

All of the Arendellians looked towards that direction in confusion as the horn sounded off. Even Christian and Mattias were confused of what that sound was or what it meant.

But Iduna gasped and her eyes widened as she stood still anxiously. For she knew what that sound of the horn meant. "No... no no no no-"

The ground started to suddenly shake, almost as if there was a giant earthquake happening.

But there wasn't. Instead towards the direction where the horn went off, where hundreds, if not thousands of reindeer making their way to the battlefield with several Northudrans leading the way and whipping the reindeer so to go faster.

Matias's eyes widened as did Christians. They were going to be trampled to death.

"STAMPEDE! TAKE COVER!" Exclaimed Mattias as he and Christian grabbed the prince and ran towards the trees.

Many of the Arendellians ran away, trying to get away from the large stampede while many where too busy fighting.

The stampede went straight through and many who were unable to escape it were caught in the reindeers hoofs.

Horrendous screams ran through everyone's ears as many men and women were being trampled to death by the animals.

Iduna hid herself behind the boulder again and ducked her head. She watched as endless reindeer jumped over her head.

Christian and Mattias had ran into the forest with the fearful prince and hid themselves behind the the large trees just before the herd of reindeer caught up to them.

"Hang on to me, your highness!" Exclaimed Mattias as he hugged him close so you not be taking by the herd.

Christian likewise hid behind another tree, trying to squeeze himself in and not be taken himself either.

Iduna peaked her head to the side, hoping to see the side-burned blonde man unharmed. Much to her surprise he found him unharmed, hiding himself behind the trees.

And just next to them a few trees down was another man. Much darker than him and a young boy being held tightly.

Iduna's furrowed her brows as she concentrated her vision at the same young boy she had seen earlier that day.

"Iduna!" Came the sudden loud exclaim making Iduna's eyes widen as she gasped and quickly looked around, trying to find the familiar voice she knew so well.

"Iduna!" Came the loud exclaim again through the powerful stampede.

"Eadni!?" Exclaimed Iduna as she looked around.

"Iduna, over here!" Exclaimed Sárá as she waved her arm around. She was at the opposite side of the forest right in between the battle and the stampede of reindeers.

"Eadni!" Exclaimed Iduna again, finally able to see her.

"Stay there, Iduna! I'll come to you!" Exclaimed Sárá with worried eyes as she started making her way towards the battlefield.

But Iduna's eyes widened. Her mother was trying to get to her as fast as she could that she didn't see the reindeer coming at full speed and it collided with Sárá as it knocked her backwards and back to the floor from where she had started as she tried to regain her conscious.

"Eadni!" Exclaimed Iduna with worry at seeing her mother take that hard hit.

Then suddenly three Arendellian guards appeared from behind Sárá. They looked at her up and down and even smiled scummily as she slowly rose to her feet. "Hey there pretty lady."

Her eyes widened at the three men in front of her. They tried to grab her and hold on to her but Sárá immediately started to kick them and even scratch their faces. Everything she could do to escape their grasp.

She succeeded and was headed back to get her daughter until one of the guards grabbed Sárá's hair with a full grip, causing her to yell out and fall backwards.

"AHHH!" She exclaimed as they started to drag her away. She put in one final fight, even successfully making one of the guards eye bleed.

He exclaimed in pain but it was too late by then. Sárá was being dragged away by her hair again by the men as they groped her inappropriately and laughed with one another.

All while Sárá screamed for her daughter as she scrambled with pain, only for her scarf to fall the ground.

"Nooooo!" Exclaimed Iduna as tears filled her eyes again. A reindeer was about to collide with her and so Iduna quickly ducked and took cover again.

"AHH!" Came the sudden horrendous screams. Right in front of Iduna was an Arendellian women guard being trampled.

The painful sounds of her bones breaking as the hooves drove into her body. She screamed in agony, calling for help from anybody or in this case Iduna as she noticed the young Northudlran girl hiding behind the rock.

Suddenly a hoof connected with the back of her skull and smashed her to pieces as if she was a watermelon as her bits blood splattered on Iduna's face.

Iduna's breath escaped her as she backed away, gasping fearfully at what she just witnessed.

Mattias looked around, seeing if he can spot an opening but the herd reindeer didn't seem to stop at all.

Instead he saw an Arendellian guards corpse hanging on a reindeers antlers. Chills ran down his spine at the horrific image as he covered Prince Agnarr's face so he wouldn't see what he just witnessed.

Christian likewise was trying to find an opening. Wondering to see when this herd of reindeer would end. But then he realized something, he saw that there in the front of the reindeer were the riders who had been using their whips to control the reindeer. And they were returning.

"They're encircling.." he said to himself before turning to Mattias. "Mattias! They're encircling!"

"What!?" Exclaimed Mattias, not able to hear him from the large hoofs and grunts the herd of reindeer were making

"They're encircling! They're going around in circles. Reindeer do that when they move with the herd!" Called out Christian.

Matias's eyes widened when he realized what Christian had been trying to tell him. And he was right, the reindeer were indeed moving in a perfect circle.

"We've already lost half our battalion! I only see one way out of here!" Exclaimed Christian.

"I agree!" exclaimed Mattias.

"Good!" Exclaimed Christian as he drew out his sword again. "On my signal!"

Mattias Drew out his sword too as he readied himself. Christian waited for the perfect moment, looking for small opening. And when he saw it he charged onward.

"Now!" He exclaimed. Christian charged forward and sliced the throat of a reindeer who grunted in pain and fell to the ground.

Iduna watched with widened eyes as the two men guided the way, stabbing and killing many reindeer who got in their way as the young boy stood near the other man.

When the remaining Arendellian soldiers saw what their lieutenants were doing they followed along and did the same.

Iduna's heart broke at seeing the poor reindeer fall to the earth. For they were nothing but innocent, only following commands from their owners.

But it worked. The path was clear and many of the frightened reindeer scattered elsewhere. But as soon as there clear path, the fighting returned once more.

Iduna watched as her people returned to battle. It was hopeless she thought to herself. No one seemed to be in the right mind set to seize the fighting.

She needed to get her mother. Wherever they have taken her, for they were several others who were taking even more women deep into the forest, fondling them inappropriately too.

But her ear propped up when she started to hear light steps approaching from behind. She turned around at to view the strange noises and she gasped at who was in front of her.

Christian sighed heavily as he looked around the bloodshed. So many men had fallen on both sides, but now it was more for the Arendellians.

A man went to stab Christian but he quickly countered that and sliced the man in half. He continued to look around, hoping to see the young girl from before. But his eyes widened when he found her.

There were three Arendellian guards surrounding her. And it just so happened that two of the same ones who initiated the whole war to begin with held their swords pointed at her. The same guards who had taken Iduna's mother away and did unspeakable things to her.

"Haha, this one's a young one." Laughed one of the disgusting guards. "Let see how good she tastes."

But Iduna quickly moved out of the way and before she knew it she was running for her life to not be caught by the men.

Christian ran to her as fast as he could.

"You're not going anywhere." Hissed one of the guards. "We're going to have our way with you child. And then we're going to kill you.

They jumped forward trying to grab Iduna. She quickly moved out of the way and ran. But one of the men grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back in the same manner they pulled Sárá.

"Ahhh!" She screamed in agony as the guard laughed and pulled her harder.

He threw her to the ground on her stomach. He kneeled down and suddenly his hand found her waist, ready to pull her tunic completely off and have his way with her.

She kicked, screamed and did everything to get him off but it seemed hopeless for she could already feel him starting to unloose her leggings and pull her trousers down.

But suddenly a long blade went straight through the man's eye as that had been cut by Sárá and he immediately got off Iduna and began to squirm around in pain as blood squirted out of his eye uncontrollably.

"AHHHHH!" Exclaimed the man in pain as he continued to run in circles.

Iduna quickly rolled out of the way and adjusted her tunic back on before securing it with her leather strap. She looked up and her eyes widened.

There he was again.

The guards watched with widened eyes as their lieutenant beat their comrade senseless. Christian punched the guard repeatedly in the chest and in the face until his hands were covered in blood and his face scattered with it too.

He stood up and turned to the guards who's weapons dropped in fear. "L-lieutenant?" Christian jumped forward and disposed of them, even cutting the head clean off one.

He turned around to Iduna who still laid on the floor looking up at him dumbfounded from what he had just done.

It's as if this man was her guarding angel, saving her at her worst moments. She watched as he approached her and kneeled down.

"Are you okay?" He asked with worried eyes.

Iduna didn't know what to say. She couldn't understand his language. She only stared back at his concerned emerald eyes who looked at her curious icy blue ones.

Never in her life had she seen eyes like his. It's as if they were glowing.

He reached his hand out for her to take and help her up. She looked down at his hand then back at his soft emerald eyes.

And so she stuck her hand out, ready to accept his help up.

SLASH!

"Mmmmm!" Grunted Christian suddenly as his emerald eyes widened. Iduna screamed and gasped all at the same time.

A large sword had gone straight through his heart from his back. Iduna panicked and quickly grabbed the man's chest. Thinking her sustaining him would do something but it was all happening so fast.

The sharp blade drew back and left Christian's heart as he continued to stay in the same place, staring at Iduna as she stared back in shock.

Finally after several seconds Christian fell backwards and his back collided with the boulder as he sat up, his chest open and his heart exposed. Iduna quickly rushed to his side, speaking in her language to the man to get up.

She quickly looked around in panic and followed the trail of blood and the sword that came with it as she looked up. Her eyes widened.

It was King Ruenard.

His face full of hatred with a giant scar that ran from the right right side of his neck all the way to the left side of his forehead, even passing straight through his bloody eyeball.

Iduna trembled in fear as she scooted backwards.

Ruenard ignored her and simply focused his gaze on the dying lieutenant as he kneeled down and looked him straight in the eyes while Christian gasped heavy breaths.

King Ruenard stared at him with such hatred, such anger. He placed his hand on the right side of his face as he forced him to stare into his eyes.

"Look at me. I want you to see this face." Said Ruenard with a deep and chilling voice. His left eye scarred and red from the viscous cut Christian had given him earlier. "I want you to hear what I'm about to say before I leave you to die like a dog."

Iduna breathed heavily in fear as she watched the king speak to him with such hatred as she could tell there was hatred by the tone of his voice.

"I want you to know that your wife, you're daughter and all of Arendelle will know what you did today." Said the king as he tightened his grip to make sure Christian looked at him. "That you, lieutenant Hansen are a traitor."

The king shoved Christian's head back as he rested it back on the boulder, breathing heavily but slowly once again. "And because of that they shall always be cast out and looked down upon in Arendelle... all the days of their lives, even you're future generations."

The king stood up on his feet again as he turned to Iduna who had been staring at the scene in front of her with fear.

He stared at her as she stared back. And for a brief second he thought he would kill her too. And perhaps he was going to until he heard his son.

"Father! Father!" Exclaimed Agnarr as he continued to hide behind Mattias.

The king turned to his son and showed no emotion. Only staring at him before returning his serious gaze back to Iduna.

Iduna watched with the staff in her hand as she waited for him to do something to her. She was ready to run if need be.

But instead he slowly opened his mouth and said words that haunted her forever.

"Long live Arendelle." He said before he turned around and walked away back into the battle, leaving a heavy breathing Iduna speechless.

The second he had disappeared into the remaining war, Iduna quickly rushed over to the man who had been struggling to inhale breaths.

She was kneeled down in front of him, looking at his open wound. But she knew there was nothing she could do. She could practically see the heart stabbed through.

She hesitated at first grabbing unto him but hands quickly found shoulders as she tried to at least comfort him and raise his chest to help him breathe.

But what was strange to her was that he seemed calm. In obvious distraught and pain but his breathing was difficult yet calm.

She watched as he looked around the forest as if he was seeing the greenery and and view in front of him for the first time.

"It's so beautiful here..." he said softly as he continued to look around. Iduna stared at him as he continued to speak. "You're home... is very beautiful."

Iduna swallowed and watched as the man breathing began to sound slower and slower. She reached for his hand and wrapped it around hers. Not knowing exactly why but she just did.

"She would've loved it..." he said softly as he looked at the breeze passing through the trees leaves. "Nora, would've loved it."

And it was at that moment that Iduna's head rose and her brows furrowed. She didn't understand anything the man had been saying except that one word.

Nora.

She understood that word.

"That's her name... that's who you remind me of." He said slowly. "Nora..."

Her brows twitched again as she listened to the word and his breathing slow down.

"Nora... Nora... N-nora... N..."

Iduna's eyes widened as a long silent breath escaped his lips. His hand that had been holding hers fell slipped and fell to the earth.

Lieutenant Christian Hansen had died.

Iduna's mind went blank. The man was not breathing anymore and his emerald eyes were no longer shining beauty. He was as still as the boulder he was leaning on.

She said nothing. She couldn't think anything at all because he looked so at peace.

Then a small tear escaped her eye as if fell down her cheek. But she did not cry. Just tears ran down for whoever this man was.

Her head rose slowly up to where she saw her people still engage in the war. None of them stopping for they all weren't going to.

She turned back to the man and leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss of gratitude on his cheek before she stood up and ran back into the battle.

"Retreat!" She commanded. "Please everyone retreat!"

"Please everyone, we have to retrea-- Oww!" Exclaimed Iduna as a Northudlran warrior had accidentally shoved her out of the way as the war engaged on. She quickly stood up on her feet and dusted herself of.

No one was listening and she was fed up with it. They were practically going to be extinct if no one stopped this battle. But suddenly she saw a familiar woman fighting several guards with her party right next to where the garden was.

"Yelena..." she whispered.

She ran to her aunt, sliding through the peoples legs and even jumping over bodies until she finally got to her side. "Yelena! Yelena!" She exclaimed as she picked up her mothers scarf from the ground she was taken from.

Yelena's eyes widened as she turned around. "Iduna? What are you doing here? You're moms been looking everywhere for you!"

A man charged at Yelena but she quickly turned around and drove her spear into the man's chest cavity.

"Yelena we must retreat! We shouldn't be fighting this battle!"

"What? What are you talking about child, we're in war! Now get out of here before you get--" Exclaimed Yelena as she blocked an Arendellian shield and tossed the guard aside with a hard shove.

"Yelena my father is dead!" She exclaimed suddenly. Yelena's eyes widened as she slowly turned around to Iduna. "And my mother was taken away!" Her heart heavy at what she had just heard.

There she noticed Iduna holding her brothers staff in her hands with her mothers scarf wrapping around her bosom. She started to form tears in her eyes.

"Beahkká?"

Suddenly the Arendellian shield collided against Yelena's head, knocking her out unconscious as Iduna gasped.

"Yelena!" Exclaimed Iduna as she jumped forward to help her up but the guard stepped forward, stopping Iduna from approaching any further.

Iduna swallowed as she watched the guard get closer to her. She looked around to see where she could go but was surprised when she found the king killing many of her kind.

He was engaging in duel with as many as he could attack until suddenly one of the most skilled Northudlran warriors stepppee forward. He was known to be a veteran among her people.

The king threw strikes with his word at the warrior who was countering every attack as they showed their strengths through many ways. They held in position as the king tried to shove him further.

But the warrior pushed aside instead, causing the king to lose his balance and slide forward. He collided against the warrior and both men fell over the edge of the cliff.

Iduna was taken back at what she just saw, and suddenly her eyes followed back to the same young boy she had been seeing earlier. "Father!" He exclaimed trying to go after him.

All while the guard was fast approaching Iduna. But then suddenly she felt the ground shake again. All of them felt it. But this time it was different.

A huge torrent of pink fire emerged from the trees that filled the whole forest with a loud crackling sound. She could feel the wind starting come towards all of their direction and then suddenly all at once with all the spirits combined, a white flash of light filled everyone's eyes, blinding everyone for several seconds including her.

The spirits were angry.

CRASH!

She was finally able to blink and see again but immediately gasped as she heard the loud sound of a giant boulder smashing into the ground.

Then powerful and aggressive wind, much like that of a tornado filled the whole forest, blowing everyone away, both Northudlran and Arandellian.

Iduna's chest filled with worry. She remembered her mother telling her that the spirits would cause a deep fog to trap those it chooses forever.

And that's what she was seeing as a deep fog began to descend like a sand storm in the desert.

Suddenly the wind pushed her backwards as the staff escaped her hand and flew frontwards. She sat up, grunting from the hard push and was about to run to get retrieve her father's staff.

But from the corner of her eye she noticed something again.

The young boy had falled backwards and his head had collided with a rock, knocking him unconscious. She gasped and something came over her and she wanted to run to him to make sure he was okay.

But then she remembered her fathers stuff was just across, ready to be devoured by the fog.

"Oh no.." said Iduna, realizing that she could be stuck here forever if she didn't head back inside the forest before the fog settled.

But as much as she wanted to go and run, she couldn't. Because the safety and well being of that prince was concerning her.

And so she made the most difficult decision she has ever made. She looked at her father staff somberly, already about to be devoured by the heavy fog.

"I'm sorry, áhčči..." she whispered as she turned around and ran towards the prince.

She slid to him and kneeled down, quickly pulling his head into her lap, checking his skull and his breathing. He had a giant bruise on the back of his head and she didn't know what to do.

She looked everywhere for help but all of her people were gone. And then suddenly she noticed fog start to fall and move foreward from where her camp was to where the Arendelle border remained.

There was still enough time for her to head back into the fog. She could just leave him here, he would would probably die from his injury anyways. After all, her father killed hers.

But after what the man did for her, sacrificing his life for her, she couldn't possibly leave the prince behind. This young boy didn't deserve to die as well.

And then an idea filled her heart. Something her mother taught her to do.

"Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah" Iduna called.

She didn't know if this would work, but she had to try.

"Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Oh, Oh" She called again.

WHEEWWW

She looked up at the trees as they rustled with the breeze, suddenly leaves followed and they descended from the clouds, whistling in return as they came to Iduna's aid.

The wind spirit answered her call.

The spirit stopped in front of her. It was as if the wind spirit was witnessing Iduna hold the young Arendellian boy in her lap.

Iduna didn't have to say anything, the wing encircled her and the unconscious prince and suddenly carried both of them high into the clouds.

Iduna turned to see where home once was. Destroyed and abandoned as her heart heart grew heavy with pain. Unsure if she had made the right choice or not. When she looked down again she saw structures she had never seen before.

The wind spirit descended and gently placed the prince gently down into the cart. With Iduna still holding on to him.

Then it did the same with Iduna as she laid next to him. She looked around, not able to control her breathing with anxiety coming over her, afraid someone might see her but then the wind spirit quickly covered her with a blanket and gently pushed Iduna down to stay hidden.

And so Iduna did as tears formed around her eyes again.

Arendelle

The horses immediately slowed down their fast pace as they approached the large dam. Many Arendellians were already there, ready to enter the enchanted forest.

But it wasn't even a site of celebration. Nora and Amma furrowed their brows as they watched many Arendellians lamenting. Nora looked to her mother as she too was confused at the strange view in front of them.

"Nora, stay here. I'll go see what's going on." Said Amma as she gently tapped the horses stomach, commanding it to go forward.

Nora watched as her mother disappeared into the fog. She looked around, hoping to see perhaps her father nearby.

The first thing that came to her mind was that there was a forest fire and that would explain the sudden evacuation. But was anyone hurt? And why were many people lamenting?

Her curiosity got the best of her and before she knew it, she too tapped on her horses side and the horse gently jogged forward into the fog.

At first she could still see her surroundings. But as she trailed deeper into the fog, the harder it was for her to see.

"Mom?" She called out as she looked around. But suddenly she turned towards a horrible cry that had almost startled her. She furrowed her brows and saw a figure kneeling down.

She moved forward with her horse and her eyes widened when she realized what was going on.

A woman was crying over a dead corpse. And not just any dead corpse, an Arendellian guard. And she knew better than anyone he was guard by the uniform he wore. The guard looked young and his body was being held by an older woman as she cried out repeatedly.

But then her heart nearly stopped when she realized something. The guard was full of blood as if he was ruthlessly stabbed and his face was practically unrecognizable.

It almost made Nora gag as she quickly moved away from the scene but only to come across even worse than what she had just saw and heard.

The lamenting grew louder and there were many families crying over dead and bloody bodies of Arendellian guards.

Some of them were crying and yelling at others if they have seen their son or their husband, anxious to see if they were alive or not or where they had gone.

Not all the guards were dead. Not yet anyways. There were some that were slowly choking out their last breaths. And there were some who were being carried or dragged away.

Some were badly injured and some were missing limbs. The smell that filled the air was horrendous and Nora had to cover her mouth and nose for there were piles of dead carcasses everywhere.

She quickly commanded the horse to go faster because she was already regretting her decision of passing through here.

She thought at first this could be a forest fire but now she wasn't so certain. No forest fire would leave such a horrible scene such as this she was witnessing.

"Excuse me... excuse me?" She asked a guard who was being carried away. But when she got closer to him she could see a large dagger sticking inside his eye.

Chills ran down her spine and she almost fell backwards at she saw the poor man. And then she noticed he was mumbling.

Her brows furrowed as she listened to his mumbling. She could barely manage to hear anything. "What?" She asked.

"They trampled her to death.. and left me for dead.. t-they showed no mercY... no mercy!" He cried out.

Nora's mouth was open in shock. Not only was the poor man traumatized, but what he was describing was a war scene. But then she realized. There were only a dozen guards alive and none of them she recognized.

Because none of them were her father.

Her eyes widened and heart stomach flipped upside down as a uncomfortable feeling filled her chest.

"Papa!" She exclaimed jumped of the horse and started to run across the dam, passing many wounded and dead bodies as the lamenting grew louder.

"Papa!?" She continued to exclaim, looking around anxiously hoping to see her dad at least breathing.

But her heart began to beat faster and her breathing did too. All of the worst thoughts coming to her mind all at once.

And then suddenly she heard it.

A cry of pain filled her heart. A cry she recognized so well.

She slowly turned around to the direction of the cry and walked forward. She could manage to see a group of people in the fog just on the other side where the dam ended.

As she got closer the fog started to slip before her eyes and she could see who it was and who she had a feeling it was going to be.

There on the floor, crying painfully was Amma, her mother. There were two badly injured guards there as well as they looked somberly at Amma.

Next to Amma was Helima, the same one who was supposed to have her date with Mattias at the feast today. She too filled with tears as she comforted Amma.

But nothing could comfort Amma as she continued to cry out with endless waters falling from her eyes and to the ground. She was shaking uncontrollably and could barely manage to breathe from her cries.

Nora's breathing became heavier as tears started to form in her eyes. Her mom never cried. But if she did there was a reason to it.

And she had a feeling why.

She ran off, heading back to the direction of Arendelle as she passed the multitude of her people.

"Papa!" She exclaimed. "Papa please where are you!?"

But she got no response. And after several minutes of continuing yelling she knew what had happened. And so her tears finally fell to her face.

"Papa..." She choked out as she walked away from the fog and back towards the entry where Arendelle was.

Her heart shattered into a million pieces as she kept walking and passed the many curious and worried Arendellias that were heading towards where she had just come from.

She had lost her father. She didn't have to see his dead body to believe it. Her mother wouldn't be crying if it was so.

And she could feel the loss of her father deep in her stomach. For her father and her had a deep connection that she could sense the permanent absence of his presence.

She continued to cry as she approached the front of a cart and laid her head on the seat as her body cried with her.

Never had Nora felt such pain like she did now. She lost her best friend, her compass, the first man she had ever loved.

Her father.

Sniff...

Suddenly Nora heard a sniffle that sounded like someone was crying. She looked up with furrowed and puffy eyes from all the crying she had been doing but that sniffle didn't come from her. She slowly walked to the back of the cart as she waited and listened for the sound again.

Sniff...

There it was again. She came around the cart and her eyes widened when she saw a young boy knocked unconscious about the age as her, as least it looked that way.

She gently reached her hand to touch the young boys face and turned him to face her so he can get a better look at him.

"Prince Agnarr?" She said with furrowed brows. She easily recognized the handsome prince. Who didn't?

But she'd seen him close by many times when her father had a great event to look after while the royal family was present. But the sniffle didn't come from him. He was clearly knocked out.

She turned her attention to the blanket next to the prince, there she noticed a slim figure that was she could see through the blanket.

She blinked several times, making sure if it was her own imagination. But something inside her told her it wasn't. She reached out and pulled the blanket away and she gasped as her eyes widened.

There in front of her and right next to the prince was a brown hair and fearful blue eyed girl with tears in her face as well, looking back at Nora's emerald yet fearful eyes.

She looked about her age and her clothes were nothing she had ever seen before. In fact the tunic was a material she had never before seen and there were drops of blood the covered part of it.

Both the young girls stared at each other. Both of them had been obviously crying from the similar expressions on their faces.

This girl was obviously not Arendellian. And from the looks of it she looked like the people her father had described from the enchanted forest. High cheekbones and rare beauty. But in that moment as Nora looked into her icy blues, her heart could do nothing but ach for her.

She was obviously alone, fearful and lost. Like she had been abandoned by her parents in a place she knew nothing about and no one at all.

Nora turned back to the prince and remembered what the citizens were saying. That the king and the prince had both perished. But the prince was right here in front of her.

And as a dedicated citizen to Arendelle she knew that the right thing to do was to make sure the prince was returned safely back to the castle. For he was her royal monarch.

She looked back behind her where the remaining guards and the Arendellian citizens gathered. Many of them being treated for wounds and identification. She knew she had to tell them.

Iduna watched as the auburn haired girl looked back at her people and at her as her heart skipped faster. She truly thought this would be it. She was going to turn her in, a Northudlran who had battled with her people. She would truly die she thought to herself.

But suddenly Nora put one finger to her own lips and the other to Iduna's, quietly shushing the girl.

Shhh...

Iduna's eyes widened. She had no idea what had just occurred. She was certain the girl was about to yell to take her away. Or worse, blame her for the prince being injured.

But Nora continued to make the shushing sound, repeatedly reminding Iduna to stay quiet as she made sure no one was watching them before she waved the girl to follow her.

It took Iduna a few seconds to register what had been happening. But when Nora waved to her again, Iduna held tight unto her mothers scarf as she slowly exited the cart and stepped down, following Nora who was leading her away from the guards nearby and behind a pile of pumpkins where she pushed her down to hide.

Then Nora sneaked back towards the cart and looked back at Iduna and then back at the people nearby. Once she saw the coast was clear she yelled.

"The prince! It's the prince! Prince Agnarr! He's right here!"

The whole multitude turned to the loud exclaims front the young girl. They widened their eyes at what they were hearing and immediately ran towards Nora.

"Look he's right here!" ExclaImed Nora as she stepped aside and let the people pass as they gasped and spoke with another.

"It is the prince!"

"He's still alive!"

"Is he breathing!?"

"Hurry! Take him back to the castle!"

Practically the whole kingdom of Arendelle gathered when they heard the prince had survived after being assumed dead.

The people reached for prince Agnarr and carried him in their arms. They cleared path through the large crowd, yelling orders to let his highness pass through.

And this was Nora's chance. As Iduna watched with widened eyes of how the whole people carried the prince away, the auburn haired girl returned immediately and began to whisper instructions to her in a language she didn't understand.

"Hurry! This way!" Nora reached for Iduna's hand and pulled her up from the pumpkins.

Iduna gasped at the young girls strength and ran behind her as Nora led the way, holding her hand tightly so she wouldn't be lost or separated from her as they avoided being seen by everyone.

She had no idea what she had said but the only thing she knew was that now she was running through the rather mysterious kingdom without trying to be seen.

There were many buildings and homes around with cement floor she had never beheld in her life. In Iduna's eyes it's as if she was in a real life dream when she was in deep sleep.

She quickly turned around just as they were about to turn the corner and watched as the prince was carried inside the large castle, wondering if he was okay or if she would ever see him again.

It seemed like they were running hand in hand for several minutes until Nora finally slowed down the pace and let go of her hand.

"Okay, we should be in the clear now." Said Nora catching her breath while Iduna coughed and did the same. "You're lucky no one saw you, especially on a day like today."

Iduna said nothing. She had no idea what strange language the girl was talking with. But it was obvious it was the same language that the man who saved her had been speaking.

The Arendellian language as she called it.

"So... is your family here?" Asked Nora after a long moment of silence. Iduna said nothing, she only stared shyly. "I understand you aren't Arendellian... in fact you resemble the people from the forest... so is your family here too?"

Iduna said nothing again. She only stared at the young girl in silence. Not at all knowing what she was saying.

Nora raised her brow up in confusion. "Are you mute?"

Iduna looked around, her mouth opening, wanting to say something but she didn't know what she could say that could possibly help this situation.

"Do you speak Norwegian?" Asked Nora. But when Iduna said nothing she nodded slowly. It was clear she didn't.

"I'll take that as a no..." said Nora as she scratched her head before suddenly her expression turned somberly. "I lost my father today.. at the forest.. and from the looks of it seems you may have lost yours too.."

Iduna furrowed her brows as she studied her eyes. The color of her eyes resembled something she had seen before. Nora almost jumped back when she looked up and found Iduna practically standing inches away from her face.

"Whoa! What are you doing!?" Exclaimed Nora, making Iduna jump too as she didn't realize how close she had gotten. Silence filled the air again as the two stared at each other.

Finally Nora sighed. "Let's go to my place.. maybe we can figure something out after we get there or something.

Nora turned back to the trail and began to walk. Iduna looked around in confusion but soon thereafter started to follow close behind until she was with her shoulder to shoulder.

"So, do you have a name?" Said Nora as Iduna looked at her. "Is there something they call you?"

Iduna spake nothing as expected. "Here in Arendelle we are all given a name.. I'm sure you were given one too."

They stared at their feet as they continued to walk side by side. Nora sighed as she looked back up at the mound they were approaching.

"Well in case you need anything, you can just call me by my real name." She said as they started to walk up the mound. "Nora."

Iduna stopped dead in her tracks as her heart dropped at hearing that word. Her eyes widening as she had a sudden flash in her memory, taking her back to the man she saw die at the hands of the king.

"Nora..."

She didn't take one step as she stared at the auburn haired girl who had begun to walk up the mound. When Nora realized she wasn't being followed she turned around to Iduna with furrowed brows.

"What? Is something wrong?" Asked Nora. But Iduna stood silent. Her mouth was open but no words came out and her eyes looked as if she'd just seen a ghost. "Umm.. are you okay-"

"Nora." Now this time Nora's eyes widened.

"D-did you just talk?" Asked Nora as she quickly ran back down towards Iduna.

"Nora." Said Iduna again.

"Yeah! Yeah! Nora! that's my name!" She said nodding with a smile.

"Nora." Said Iduna again, nodding with a small smile of her own in the corner of her lips.

"Yes, Nora. Is that a word you use in your language?" Asked Nora impatiently, eager to see what Iduna would say.

"Nora."

Nora's smile faded away. It was clear the only similar language they shared was her name. "I see.."

"Nora--"

"Yeah, yeah I get it okay? Nora. Yes my names Nora yes.." sighed Nora as she grabbed the bridge of her nose. "This is going to be a lot harder than I thought."

She looked around her surroundings and up at the sky as she started to tap her chin. Iduna watched as the young girl paced back and forth. It was clear she was thinking of a strategy of some sorts.

Then Nora's eyes widened as a lightbulb went off in her head. She grinned as she quickly ran to the tree in front of her and pointed at it. "Tree!"

Iduna's eyes furrowed and her head tilted in confusion as Nora looked at her again but this time with a smile. "Tree!" She said again. "This here is a tree, what about you what do you call it?"

Iduna watched as Nora used her hands to speak. "Tree." She said as she pointed at the tree and than at Iduna. Her expression as if she was waiting for Iduna to answer something.

Nora pointed once more at the tree again and then back at her. Then Iduna's eyes widened. She was trying to communicate with her.

"Tree." Said Nora as she pointed at the tree once more and then pointed back at Iduna. "And you call it-"

"Muorra."

"Yes! Perfect!" Exclaimed Nora happily. "Muorra! You call this a Muorra!"

"De, muorra!" Replied Iduna with a nod and a smile of her own.

"Great! So my name, Nora." She said as she pointed at herself. "Noorraaa."

Iduna nodded again. She understood now that she was telling her that was her name. A name also used with their people as well as a word.

"My name is, Nora." She said as she pointed at herself and then back at her. "And your name is-"

"Iduna."

Nora gasped as a large grin appeared on her face. "Iduna... your name is Iduna?"

The Northudlran girl nodded as she pointed at herself. "Iduna."

Nora smiled again as they looked at one another. "Iduna..."

"Nora!" Came the sudden exclaim from afar off. The two girls gasped as they turned around. There coming down from the green hill they could see a ginger haired woman riding her horse with another horse tied next to it.

"Mother!" Called out Nora as she ran off to greet her.

"Nora!" Said her mother as she quickly jumped off and raced to meet Nora half way who immediately jumped into her mothers warm. "Oh Nora you frightened me I thought I had lost you!"

"Mother!" Exclaimed Nora as she hugged her mother deeply. She couldn't control it, suddenly tears fell down her face again as did her mother.

"Oh mother... papa is gone..." cried Nora harder into her mothers bosom.

"I know, Nora..." said Amma as she cried with her daughter and held her cheeks, wiping her tears away. "I'm so sorry, my love.."

"Now I'll never get to see him again-" cried Nora as Amma wiped her tears away again and gently shushed her daughter.

"Shhh. There, there, my love." Said Amma as she sniffed and quickly wiped her own tears away. "He will always live in you, Nora. You are still his daughter, his greatest legacy."

Nora cried again as Amma embraced her tighter.

Iduna's brows furrowed as she watched the two embrace as she realized something had hit her to her core.

It was clear that was her mother. For her having been the daughter to a mother, she knew the relationship of a daughter and mother so well, especially one of love.

But she also realized something. The word daughter came to mind because that was the same word the man had used before the man slipped away.

Her eyes widened again. The emerald eyes, the familiarity in the face and the name. The act of kindness... Her heart beat harder again.

This was the daughter of the man who saved her. And not only that, but there in front of her was also his wife.

She was panicking all over again. They would surely want her dead now when they realize his death was ultimately her fault.

She slowly took a step back, ready to turn around and run away to wherever fate would take her. But Amma saw the young girl from the corner of her eye and quickly faced her.

Iduna's heart fell to her stomach.

"Nora... who is this..." said Amma with widened and alerted eyes. The tunic she was wearing however already gave it away who she was.

Nora swallowed and turned around. "This is, Iduna mother. She doesn't speak our language. I found her hiding behind a cart next to prince Agnarr with no family and no place to go.."

Amma slowly stood up, her stare still serious as Iduna swallowed nervously.

"She's one of them mother... one of the Northudlra."

Iduna's hands began to shake. She understood the word also. Northuldra.

"I think she's lost, mother... I don't think she has anyone-"

Amma began to walk towards Iduna with her stare not once leaving Iduna's eyes. Iduna swallowed nervously as the woman approached her. This was it. She was going to die or worse, be turned in.

She stared into her brown eyes as she looked at her as well. But Amma's eyes weren't angry. They were soft and Iduna could see understanding of love in her orbs.

"Iduna..." she said gently as the Northuldra girl blinked in confusion. Amma turned around to Nora who was staring at her mom anxiously too.

Amma inhaled deeply as she turned around see if anyone was around, making sure there was not one person nearby that could see them.

Then when the coast was clear she turned back to Iduna and stared at her again. "Nora, let's go home." Said Amma as she turned to her daughter and then back to Iduna. "All three of us."

Nora with a surprised expression quickly went back to Iduna who had still been staring at Amma nervously as she watched her make her way up to the mound and stopped as she looked back at the two young girls as if she was waiting.

Nora turned to the fearful and curious Iduna again. She gently raised her hand up and extended it to Iduna for her to take.

Iduna looked at Nora's hand and then back up at Amma who was waiting patiently with soft eyes. Than she looked back at Nora's emerald eyes once again.

The same manner her father extended her hand and the same eyes she inherited from him.

And so Iduna placed her nervous and bruised hand in Nora's palms as she guided her up the mound until they crossed it.

And then Iduna's eyes widened as she saw the grand fjord in front of her. So close by she could practically touch it, and in front of her a green and beautiful farm full of animals and not one neighbor nearby.

Amma turned to Iduna who's hands were still interlocked with Nora's. Amma crouched down to Iduna's eye level and gently smiled at her.

"Welcome home, Iduna."

Ahtohallan, present day

Elsa and Anna were in complete shock, jaws dropped and eyes wide when Iduna had finished the story. They were so dumbfounded they couldn't even breath for several seconds.

"And that's how it happened.." said Iduna who had her eyes closed and her head down. Her face somber all at the same time. "So now you see why the spirits and I allowed Hans to enter..."

Anna sighed deeply as she rubbed her headache that was starting to come back again. Suddenly it didn't feel so cold in here anymore.

Meanwhile Elsa had begun to slowly walk back and forth. Playing with her fingernails anxiously as she took deep breaths, trying to process everything.

"Are you all right my darlings?" Asked Iduna, already aware that they clearly were not.

"W-we're fine, Mother. It's just..." Anna began as she looked back at Elsa who had her arms crossed, hoping she would have the answer.

"...This is a lot to take in, mother." Elsa finished as she sighed deeply.

"I know it is and you have every right to feel confused and conflicted at the moment. But now you see, that's why we let Hans into the forest. How could I turn away the son of my sister? The woman who took me into her home."

"I understand, mother. But that doesn't excuse Hans' actions against us three years ago. Nor does it mean we should help him-" Elsa replied firmly until she was cut off by Iduna.

"Elsa. Without Hans' mother, you two wouldn't have been born." Iduna retaliated firmly yet calmly.

"But you're the one that saved papa, mother. Not Nora." Retaliated Elsa.

"And she's the one that saved me." Retaliated Iduna calmly.

Elsa didn't have a counter to that, instead she pressed her lips and looked away in shame. If there was anyone who could be just as firm and cool than she was it was her own mother. And she had forgotten about that.

Anna sighed. "Mother, I think what Elsa is trying to say is that we can't risk having him here. He's caused... so much damage to our kingdom. Many of our people can't even get behind the idea of us meeting with the Southern Isles. They've already marked me as delusional and unstable for allowing such a thing."

Iduna smirked as she looked at both her daughters lovingly. "It seems to me my parenting has failed the you two."

Elsa and Anna furrowed their brows as they turned to their mother. "What?" They both said in union.

"Yes. After all I always taught you to never worry of what other think of you, or what the world is telling you what is right or wrong. But it seems to me you both still haven't applied that." Said Iduna.

"Mother please!" Said Anna as she stepped forward. "We're talking about Hans Westergaard. The man almost sliced Elsa's head off and overlook the whole kingdom by himself. He even ruined our food supply!"

Elsa looked away with shame. Technically it was her fault not his but she didn't want to admit that.

Iduna looked at her daughters and smirked still staring at both of them yet her eyes serious.

"And yet, who was the one who suggested alliance with the Southern Isles and Arendelle. Who was the one who looked after our people when you went to find your sister in the north mountain."

Both sisters said nothing. None of them dared to unless they wanted to build a bigger hole for themselves.

"You see my darlings, the only way our two kingdoms will succeed is if they both work together. Just as you two need to work together to help each other grow, as sisters.

And that means Hans and you two working together as well. Putting your pride aside and putting your duties over you're problems first."

"Mother..." sighed Elsa. "Sorry, but with all due respect we are putting our duty first. And our duty is our people. I already cut a deal with Hans that we would grant him safe passage and secure him in a place where only Princess Hanna will visit him. That should be more than enough."

"I agree!" Added Anna.

"Well I don't, darlings." Said Iduna as she stood firm while the sister listened with widened eyes. They couldn't believe that their own mother was defending Hans Westergaard out of all the people. "Do you really believe that it'll just end there?"

"Well yeah-" Said Anna before Iduna continued.

"That there won't be bloodshed? Neighboring kingdoms wanting to take over and many of his brothers and enemies wanting to go after him?" Said Iduna as she smiled at them. "There will be many great trials ahead, my daughters. But I know that if you two can work together with Hans, anything is possible."

"Mother-"

"But if you truly wish not to, I won't stop you." Said Iduna as she looked at her two daughters.

Now they were really annoyed. How would she not stop them? It's as if their mother knew all of their weak spots, even making them feel conflicted at a time such like this.

Elsa and Anna looked at each other. None of them said a word but they were both thinking the same thing.

We have to do this.

"Fine." Said Anna as she looked back at her mother. "So, what do we do now?"

"First you must tell all of this to Hans' twin sister, Hanna. Then you must tell Hans himself." Iduna explained.

"Mother... is that really necessary?" Asked Elsa.

"Right now it's about what's best for our kingdoms, Elsa." Said Iduna this time more firmly. "So set the past aside for a moment and handle this like I know you two will."

Elsa and Anna looked at each other as they sighed deeply and then looked to the ground as if they were hoping they could find a counter.

But they couldn't. Because she was right.

"My darlings." Said Iduna as she walked towards then. Her smile proud and loving as she looked at them. "You can't comprehend how proud of you two I am."

Elsa and Anna looked up at their mother as they smiled at back at her. Emotion filling their hearts.

"And you don't realize how beautiful you two are. The most beautiful women in all of Arendelle." Said Iduna as she smiled at them again. "Now go and conquer like I know you will."

Arendelle

After saying goodbye for now to their mother's spirit, Elsa and Anna went straight back to Arendelle. They dismounted the Nokk at the edge of the Fjord and respectfully bowed to it before it returned to the water.

"Okay, so, let's go over what mother said. Her father was the Northuldra chief that was murdered by our grandfather, King Runeard, who then tried to kill her, but was stopped by the heroic Lieutenant Christian Hansen, Nora's father. Who was then also murdered by our grandfather for protecting our mother, who then saved our father, and then was taken in by Queen Nora and her mother, Amma-" Anna recapped until Elsa cut her off.

"Anna, for the millionth time yes." Sighed Elsa stressfully as she rubbed her eyelids stressfully.

"I'm sorry, okay!" Said Anna loudly until Elsa shushed her. It was too late to be speaking out in public like this. "I-- just... sigh this is all too much!"

"I know. I... can't believe this..." Elsa whispered as she rubbed her neck.

Anna sighed again deeply as she closed her eyes and she began to massage her head with her two index fingers. "I need a long vacation after this."

"You can always come visit me." Smirked Elsa. "I'm always going to you anyways."

"Yeah well after todays long story I can't even go back there and look at the place the same again." Said Anna as she crossed her arms while Elsa chuckled. "Seriously, what the hell is up with our grandfather? Why was he such a... prick!"

"Anna!" Hissed Elsa as she and her sister walked to the castle.

"What!? You know it's true!" Retaliated Anna as Elsa shushed her again. "The guy literally ruined everything! I mean he makes Hans look clean and innocent. Oh God. Please slap me if I ever call Hans clean and innocent again."

"Okay come on." Said Elsa as they entered the great ballroom. "Let's just go to Princess Hanna and get this over with."

"Okay, you're right, you're right. Let's go.." sighed Anna as the sisters made their way to the grand stairs.

They were greeted by Kai and Gerda, after assuring them that they were alright, they went to the guest room that Hanna, Cassandra, and Kristina were staying in. Anna then went to knock on the door.

"Okay, you ready?" Sighed Elsa as she turned to Anna.

"Pfft, no. But why does that matter anyways." Said Anna as leaned forward and knocked.

Knock-knock-knock

Hanna, Cassandra and Kristina sat up from bed immediately after hearing that knock. The three young women had decided to have a sleep over in Hanna's room that night for safe measure.

"Yes? Whoa!" Said Hanna as she jumped from her only to slip in Cassandra's boots. It was so dark and there were no candles at all nearby.

The sisters from the other side of the door looked at each other in confusion.

"Ahem, Princess Hanna? It's Queen Elsa-"

"And Anna." Said Anna cutting off her sister.

Elsa rolled her eyes. "May we come in?"

"Y-yes. Yes!" Said Hanna as she was helped up to her feet by Kristina and Cassandra. "Of course, please come in!"

When Elsa and Anna entered they were surprised to see the lady in waiting and Cassandra's inside Hanna's room. Not that they weren't judging, they just didn't expect more company.

Each of them were in wearing night gowns. Which made sense since it was so late at night already.

"Your majesties." Hanna greeted with a deep bow as Cassandra and Kristina did the same. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Should I grab my sword--" Whispered Cassandra until she was cut off.

"Shh, Cass." Hanna whispered back.

"Princess Hanna." Elsa said with seriousness. "We.. need to talk."

Hanna immediately furrowed her brows as she looked at Elsa than back at Anna. At first she thought it might be because she found out she had snuck out and went to visit Hans but now she wasn't so certain.

Anna nodded. "You might want to sit down for this.."

"...And that's everything she told us." Anna finished. She was sitting down next to Elsa in the guest chairs.

Hanna sat in silence next to Kristina and Cassandra who also shared the same shocked expression. Hanna's eyes were wide and her mouth open. Not not able to conjure up any words

"I know, it's a lot-"

"Yeah... It is." Hanna said as she stood up and started to walk around. Her bare and soft feet making the a solace sound with the wood below. "How could've my mom never told me this?"

"We feel the same as you." Said Anna with a stressful sigh.

She couldn't believe it. Elsa and Anna's paternal grandfather murdering their maternal grandfather, as well as her and Hans' grandfather. Her and Hans' mother taking in Elsa and Anna's mother and becoming adoptive sisters. The intertwining of their fates seems so coincidental, yet it was all true.

"Whoa. Sisters? Pah. And here I thought your family couldn't get anymore crazier." Said Cassandra to Hanna.

"Princess Hanna. This explains also how you know the lullaby." Said Elsa.

Hanna furrowed her brows. "Lullaby?"

"You know, the one where the north wind meets the sea..."

"Wait, what?" Said Anna with widened eyes.

"Oh! That one! Wait... you know that lullaby too?" Said Hanna suddenly.

"We all know that lullaby." Said Elsa. "It's what Northudlran mothers sing to their children since they were born."

"Are you kidding me? I thought it was just some fairy tale from a book or something!" Exclaimed Hanna with outstretched arms.

"Oh not it's real." Added Anna. "We literally just came from there too."

Hanna sighed as she leaned on the bed frame and rubbed her head. "God bless my mom and let her remain resting in peace but I don't know if I should feel angry with her or..."

"Yeah. How are you gonna tell this story back home? Can you imagine your brothers after they hear this." Chuckled Cassandra.

"Don't get me started on that." Sighed Hanna with rolled eyes.

Suddenly Anna's brows furrowed as she noticed something rather odd. And she wasn't the only one. Even Elsa was noticing it too.

"Um, Hanna?" Anna asked suddenly as she leaned forward.

"Hmm?" Said Hanna as she still leaned on the bed frame upset.

"Your eyes..." Elsa replied with widened eyes.

"Huh?" Hanna furrowed her eyes as she leaned forward. Now confused what the sudden interest of her eyes meant.

Even Cassandra and Kristina were confused by the sudden comment.

"T-they're... G-glowing..." Anna said with a hint of fear in her voice.

Hanna' eyes widened as she instinctively touched her eyelids. But soon thereafter walked over to the large mirror and looked at her reflection. She saw that indeed her eyes were glowing.

"Your highness?" Asked Kristina worriedly. She and Cassandra finally caught on and saw how Hanna's eyes seemed to change.

They were deep emerald. Deeper than its original color.

Hanna sighed. "This only happens when something important is about to happen to someone in our family."

"Wait, what?" Anna said shaking her head in confusion as she looked at Elsa who was sharing the same expression as her.

"Hans..." Hanna whispered. "I need to go see Hans."

Elsa's eyes widened with worry. "Wait, why?" Anna asked.

"Anna." Said Elsa suddenly as she realized something. "Mother said to tell him right after we told Hanna, remember?"

"Yeah, but-"

"So maybe there's a reason why mother wanted us to tell him soon.."

Anna's eyes widened at the realization. They heard a scramble of clothes from behind the changing screen. They could see through the reflection that Hanna was naked and already jumping into a tunic.

"Your highness?" Asked Kristina as she and the others stood up.

"I'm going." Said Hanna as she stepped out. She was wearing tight leather pants with boots strapped on and her dark tunic over her.

She was dressed like her shield maidens like she was ready to head to war and her hair was braided uptight and with cornrows on the side of her head. She was suddenly a different person entirely. Elsa and Anna's eyes widened, they'd never seen anything like it.

"Princess Hanna-"

"I'm going to see my brother. I'm not leaving him by himself." Said Hanna as she headed to the door. Her eyes were still glowing emerald. "Not after what you just told me.

"Then I'm going with you." Said Elsa as she followed Hanna.

"Elsa!" Exclaimed Anna.

"I'm the only capable of getting us there quickly with my powers." Said Elsa as she turned to the others.

"Then I'm going too!" Said Anna as she followed Elsa and Hanna out the door.

"No, Anna-"

"I'm going, Elsa. There's no way in hell I'm letting you be around Westergaard alone after finding out he's alive! No offense Princess Hanna..."

"None taken." Smiled Hanna.

"Anna, you have a kingdom to run. You can't just-"

"Remember what mother told us?" Said Anna as she looked at her sister in the eyes. "We work together. We do this together."

Elsa sighed and pressed her lips annoyed. Using her own mothers words against her. Works every time. "Fine. Just.. stay close to me."

"Welp. Since it seems we're going to be up all night I'll tag along." Said Cassandra as she stepped out of the changing screen. She too wearing her armor and cape. "Besides, you'll need a bodyguard."

"And I'll come too!" Exclaimed Kristina as she suddenly rose to her feet.

All the women turned to look at the shy and suddenly loud lady in waiting with raised brows. "Uh-uh I mean.. if you'll have me I would love to accompany her royal majesties and lady Cassandra..."

Hanna shrugged. "Sure. Why not the more the merrier."

Kristina smiled. She could almost jump with excitement until she slowly realized something.

"Oh, umm. Just give me two minutes so I can change." Said Kristina as she ran to the back of the changing screen.

Cassandra smirked. "Maybe we'll see Rudolph-"

"Cass!" Hissed Hanna.

Elsa and Anna furrowed their brows as they looked at each other. "Who's Rudolph?" Whispered Anna as Elsa shrugged.

The Four Peaks

Hans was in the cave, staring at the fire he had started. He was still processing what Honeymaren had told him about the lullaby. He hadn't fully confirmed his theory yet, but he had damning evidence for it.

Suddenly he felt something unusual in his gut as he looked up to the great landscape before him.

His eyes were glowing again.

"Something's wrong." He said.

Northuldra

At the shore of the Dark Sea, multiple boats came ashore. The boats were the exact same as the ones that Tadashi and his men had arrived in.

Suddenly a man disembarked one of the ships. He had Black hair on the top of his head, with white on the side as a good covered his face.

He walked to the shores slowly with a huge fleet of men following behind him as they stepped into the soil. His expression serious and ready to get what he came for.

How's that for a chapter? Just to clarify, Amma (Nora's mother) literally sounds the way it is spelled.
