Chapter 19:

Yield or Die

Christiansen Farm, Many Years Ago

Light rain fell and covered all of Arendelle. A light boom of thunder could be heard every couple minutes. The young Iduna stirred and slowly opened her eyes.

She blinked several times to make her vision clearer, and was surprised to notice that the bed across from her was empty. This bed belonged to Nora, as she and Iduna now shared the same bedroom.

*Sniff...*

Iduna heard a sniffle and turned to the window in front of the beds. There, she saw Nora curled up in a ball with her head on her knees, sniffling slightly. It was obvious that she had been crying which shocked Iduna to the core.

She stood up very slowly before she started making her way over to Nora's bed and crawling toward the end where she had been curled up. She joined her side and crossed her feet together as she watched Nora worriedly.

"Sniff sorry..." Said Nora as she quickly wiped her tears away and flashed a forced smile at her. "I didn't mean to wake you."

But Iduna didn't care she only continued to stare at her. She was always so positive and heart warming. She was so patient with her and understanding. But seeing Nora like this made her sad.

She was not one to cry. The only time she'd seen her cry was the day her father died. But that had been months ago already.

"I just..." sighed Nora as she looked up to the stormy clouds before she finally spoke. "Today's his birthday."

Iduna furrowed her brows at hearing that strange and new word. Nora noticed this and she too furrowed her brows at seeing Iduna's weird expression but then realized why she was confused.

"Oh, that's right. You probably don't even celebrate that back in the forest do you." Said Nora clearing her throat. "A birthday is when you celebrate the day you were born. Typically with your family... or loved ones."

"Celebrate?" Asked Iduna.

"Yes. Many families celebrate birthdays in many ways. Parties, food and get togethers..." said Nora as she looked up back to the sky.

"We had a tradition when we celebrated birthdays in our home. We would always sneak in in the morning while they were still asleep and sing Hurra for Deg. We made sure to bring breakfast in bed and even ate with them there.

Than we would unveil gifts and spend the day together in the market, ride horses up to the fjord and do all sorts of fun things planned for the day."

Iduna paid close attention as Nora continued to explain every detail regarding birthdays.

"Mother would make bløtkake and we would sing Hurra for Deg again, this time with all our closest family and friends around..." she said bitterly as her sad eyes filled with water once more. "And now... we can't do any of that."

Nora inhaled a shaky breath. "I miss my father so much... And I've tried be so strong, for you, and for my mother, but I can't stop thinking about him..."

There was a long moment of silence. Iduna watched as Nora cried, tears running down her face as the light rain continued to fall in front of them.

Just then, Iduna reached for Nora's hand and gently set it on her lap. Then she gently grabbed Nora's head and set it on her shoulder as her tears continued to put down her cheeks.

Iduna then inhaled and started to sing.

"Where the North wind meets the sea

There's a river full of memory

Sleep, my darling, safe and sound

For in this river, all is found

In her waters, deep and true

Lie the answers and a path for you

Dive down deep into her sound

But not too far or you'll be drowned

Yes, she will sing to those who'll hear

And in her song, all magic flows

But can you brave what you most fear?

Can you face what the river knows?

Where the North wind meets the sea

There's a mother full of memory

Come, my darling, homeward bound

When all is lost-

Northuldra, Present Day

-then all is found"

GASP!

Hans let out a huge gasp as his eyes shot open. He found himself staring at the sky as he continued to gasp for air as his glowing emerald eyes darted side to side.

It wasn't long before he realized he couldn't feel the ground beneath him. And the trees and sky's above him were moving at a fast speed.

He looked around in panic and it didn't take long until he realized he was floating in mid air and seemed as if he was being pulled by some strong yet gentle force.

WHEWWWW

His brows furrowed when he recognized that familiar sound. He looked down where he could see the ground at least a good ten feet.

He looked down wheee he could see placed leaves over the open stabbed wound that he had received from his fight from Ra's. The fight in which he drove his sword and pushed him off to his death. The fight in which he had lost.

Or so Ra's thought. For Hans was even more surprised he was alive. He watched as Gale brought him down back to the front of the cave. The same place Hans had been living in.

He grunted as Gale slowly set him down beside the rocks to lean on. The wind spirit whistled once more as the leaves started to depart and uncover the cut he had received by Ra's.

Suddenly he heard a weird critter noise. Hans looked around with furrowed brows until he suddenly saw a little salamander crawling from some rocks nearby. It was that same magical salamander Elsa showed him.

The salamander crawled towards him and then he grunted in pain again as it slowly set little fire into his wound to keep him warm and take all the puss out.

Gale went straight work again as they returned to the wound. Hans took in a deep breath as the burning sensation continued.

He thought getting stabbed was painful, but getting treated by it was worse.

"How... long was I asleep?" Breathed out Hans as he hissed at the final warm compression from the salamander. He furrowed his brows when no one answered but soon remembered why. "Oh that's right. You can't talk human can you?"

None of them said anything as expected, only light whistling from Gale. As soon as the salamander jumped off, Hans slowly began to rise up out of the ground as he leaned in the rocky cave for support.

He stood up on his feet, holding the side of his stomach. He then slowly tried to enter the cave but the discomfort from the open wound made him stop.

"Damn it.." he whispered to himself as he held unto his stomach tighter. He couldn't take a step any further. He was too weak.

Gale whistled again and approached the auburn haired man, almost as if she herself was telling him to stay down and rest.

"Do me a favor.." grunted Hans. "Inside the cave is an old tunic. Grab it so I can wrap it around."

Much to his surprise, Gale whistled again and headed inside the cave as if she understood him. Her joyful whistling echoed as she explored the inside of the cave.

Bruni the salamander also stepped inside the cave but flashed his colorful and fiery scales, providing light for the wind spirit.

Gale whistled again joyfully as she scooped the tunic that had been hung to dry with the other small pile of tunics and cloth. She came back out and whistled as she displayed the brown and used tunic before Hans eyes.

"Ah, you can understand me." Said Hans as he weakly reached for the floating tunic. "Thanks."

He leaned on the cave for support again and ripped the tunic straight down the middle. Than with all the motion he could summon, he began to wrap it around his stomach as tightly as he possible could.

He hissed again and but his lip at how tight he pressed it on his stomach but it was necessary for such an open wound as his.

Now finally wrapped around his stomach, Hans threw the other ripped piece back into the cave before he settled himself back into the ground with the wind and fire spirit still staring at him.

Bruni would blink occasionally while Gale's leaves would circle in delicate motion.

"He missed." He said after a long sigh. None of the spirits made a noise but Hans only shook his head as if he was agreeing with himself.

"His sword struck inside my stomach and failed to hit any artery. He also completely missed my kidney by three inches. So I'd say this was complete luck or he's a terrible swordsman."

The spirits continued to stare as he sighed again and held his hand delicately at his side while he looked out to the grand landscape in front of him. "Or.. it could be life's just playing some kind of cruel and sadistic joke.. still keeping me alive on this earth, again and again."

His emerald eyes grew heavy as the spirits watched the man slowly close and open his eyes again. His head would nod and began to fall until it wouldn't trying to prevent it as if he was scared he would fall asleep.

And indeed he was. He didn't want to sleep. He didn't want to rest. He wanted to go back to the camp and finish what he started. Just like he had planned.

But he knew deep down inside that he wouldn't be able to fight. His body that was quite literally commanding him to rest and he had no control.

"Wake me up... If I sleep more than an... hour..." he said slowly as his head leaned back into the caves wall before he fell fast asleep, completely exhausted and still pale in the face.

Sweat was starting to run down his whole face as shivers began to take control over him. His body was starting to heal any sort of pain or discomfort he was feeling. Which in his case were many.

And so the spirits watched and waited.

Northuldra Camp

Night time had reached and the forces of Ra's still surrounded the ever so melting ice wall that Elsa had constructed where she and the rest of the people were on the other side.

Everyone seemed to be whispering within themselves as if they were trying to find a way to escape this horrible situation.

Any minute now they feared Ra's was going to shout the command to finish barricading through the ice wall and lay a fiery pool of blood upon everyone in the forest.

They were completely outnumbered.

Elsa and Anna had huddled just a little ways off where the rest of the group also remained. Unlike the others, none of them even said a word. All of them seemed uneasy with what they just witnessed become of Hans.

Yet at the same time... everyone was confused...

It all happened too fast and so unexpectedly yet it seemed it was some sort of cruel plan. But was it?

Elsa wasn't even anxiously biting her nails. She kept repeating everything she witnessed over and over again in her mind, trying to see if she by chance missed something but she couldn't find anything.

Finally she looked over towards Hanna who she was expecting to find covered in tears.

Yet instead she found her worried but not worried about what may become of their deaths. Instead Elsa could see she was thinking of something else. Better yet, waiting.

"Princess Hanna?" She finally asked.

Hanna blinked several times before she turned to face Elsa who was now standing over her. "Hmm?"

"I... just wanted to check up on you. If you're doing okay.." Said Elsa nervously, not sure what the appropriate thing to say even was.

Hanna nodded. "Thank you for inquiring, your majesty." She stood up quickly and started to walk away from the group.

Everyone was confused.

Even Cassandra who had been watching couldn't read what was going though Hanna's mind. She was so quiet and this whole time Hanna hadn't said a word to anyone. Not even Cassandra.

"Hey." Whispered Anna as she pulled her sister in back to the huddled group to where they were originally sitting. "So I'm a little confused right now... or maybe that's just me."

"It's definitely not just you." Sighed Elsa frustratedly. "I have no idea what just happened."

"Oh good! So it's not just me. Like what the heck was that?? Did we really just see Hans lose like that??" Maybe she's going through a shocking stage right now... I mean she just saw her brother die right?" Asked Anna confused as if she saw the real Hans or not.

"It's not shell shock, your majesties." Said Damien who stepped forward still at a respectable distance away.

"Shell shock?" Asked Ryder confused by the strange term.

"It means you're alarmed after experiencing such a traumatic event. I've seen it in most of my fellow comrades when they come back from deployment. But what Princess Hanna is going through isn't she'll shock." Explained Damien.

"I agree with bozo here." Said Cassandra signaling towards Damien as she too leaned over and joined in the conversation. "Hanna would be crying a waterfall if she just saw her own brother die.."

"What do you mean?" Asked Honeymaren who gently and slowly came from where Yelena was. "Isn't that just what happened? He died... right??"

"I'm not sure... but this smells like Westergaard all right." Said Cassandra.

"It smells like Westergaard? What kind of smell is that?" Asked Anna with furrowed and confused brows.

"Figure of speech, your majesty." Smirked Cassandra. "But if you want my honest input, Hans is not easy to kill."

"You just saw him be thrown of a cliff!" Argued Honeymaren.

"Trust me when I say this that I wouldn't put it past him to even survive a building on fire... What I saw just moments ago, that was not Hans. And even if it was.. he's alive. He's got to be." Sighed Cassandra, even somewhat worried herself.

Even Elsa could see the care Cassandra had for the former prince.

"Look even if that were true, which it's not. What makes you think what you just saw wasn't him??" Asked Ryder who sat next to his sister.

"Like I said... Hans is not easy to kill." Said Cassandra as everyone looked at her like she was crazy.

THUD THUD

The whole camp silently snapped at hearing that thud hitting the ice wall. There in the other side was Tadashi as if he was present to deliver a message.

"What do you want." Scoffed Honeymaren as she leaned on the crutch and walked towards him.

"A truce." Responded Tadashi.

"A truce? Now you want a truce? Pah. After what you all did? After the innocent lives were taken. After finally killing your worst enemy, NOW you're offering a truce." Said Honeymaren with angry and furrowed brows.

"Maren, let's hear him out." Said Yelena as she came from behind her with the rest of the group following behind.

"Ra's is patient enough to give you forty-eight hours to make an oath with him." He said before he took another step forward with more seriousness in his expression. "I would think carefully on this offer"

"Or what?" Retaliated Honeymaren once again before she turned to walk away, not before looking back at Tadashi one final time. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but Hans was right about you. You are a traitor."

"Just leave us alone." Said Ryder bitterly as he followed his sister behind.

Tadashi watched as all of them disappeared from his presence as they returned back to the forest as if they had accepted their fate. Leaving him with a worried expression.

His eyes slowly opened until he started to blink several times trying to locate his surroundings.

Everything looked familiar. The cave and the great landscape in front of him. Except this time the sun was rising. It was morning.

He wouldn't be surprised if he had been asleep for days at this point.

He reached for his side where the tunic was wrapled tightly and felt the smooth edges. He breathed in deeply before letting it out. He looked to his left where he could hear Gale fast approaching with Bruni.

"Been waiting on me?" Asked Hans sarcastically to the two spirits while Gale only whistled. "I thought so.."

He slowly started to rise on his feet. He still had enough strength on his feet as be leaned on the giant cave.

Bruni made his way over to Hans boots and then looked up at him as if he was wondering why he was crazy enough to get up so quickly.

Hans ignored the little salamander and walked past him, making his way into the cave while holding the side of his stomach. The two spirits looked at each other as they heard his struggled cough echo inside the cave.

"Hey lizard. I'm gonna need some light to see, do you mind?" He exclaimed as his voice echoed.

The little salamander blinked several times in confusion before he walked forward and lit up his whole body with pink flames.

"There we go. Thank you." Said Hans as he looked around the cave that was reflecting Brunie's pink and enchanting flames. Hans bent down and began to ruffle through the piles of leaves and rocks.

Gale flew inside the cave next to Bruni and whistled at Hans

PHEWWWW

"Of course. This is the only thing I have left to wear... good God." Said Hans with annoyance as he rose up with a tunic and coat in his arms.

He placed them down on the boulder and began to strip his breachers off. Bruni continued to light up the cave as Hans slowly slid the new pair of breachers up to his waist.

Than he grudgingly placed the new tunic over his defined and hurt body before turning to the strange looking coat. He opened it up and it was rather large for his whole body.

But then he began to put it on himself and even wrapped it around his body as if it was originally designed for that very purpose.

He tied the coat perfectly and it fit him without hesitation. Then he tied his waist with a skinny but think cloth, making sure it was firm.

Then he bent down and placed his boots on top of the boulder and strapped them on firmly. Once he was done he turned back to the entrance of the cave and made his way to where the spirits were waiting.

The spirits moved back and Bruni's flames disappeared until suddenly he was no longer seen inside the cave.

The spirits no longer saw Hans. They knew he was just there but when Bruni's flamed died it's as if he had vanished.

But he didn't. Because his loud footsteps echoed the closer he walked towards the entrance until he appeared in front of the spirits.

He wore the exact same tunic and armor the league were wearing. The exact same coverings, dark coloring and the piece of cloth that would cover his face.

He was wearing everything he once wore before when he was a league member.

"Well. Thanks for saving me and all I suppose." Said Hans as he began to walk away while still holding unto the side of his stomach.

WHEW! Came the fast whistle by Gale as she suddenly appeared in front of him.

Hans furrowed his brows and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the wind spirit floating in front of him.

"What?" He asked with annoyed and furrowed brows. He began to walk around Gale only to be blocked by her again.

He tried going the other side but she met him there. Then he tried sprinting past her but she pushed him back instead.

"Come on! What are you doing?? Why aren't you letting me go?!" He exclaimed angrily before grunting again and hissing at the pain his stomach was in.

Gale only whistled in response as Bruni crawled towards Hans foot and began to climb up his leg until he reached his shoulder.

Hans with annoyance looked at Bruni and then back at Gale. He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Look. I need to head back to the camp and I need finish what I started. Those men down will not let anyone live."

The spirits looked at each other and then back at Hans as if they were listening to him and trying to find something he says they can agree on.

"I can't do it on my own. We're outnumbered. But... if you and the other spirits help me we can save them. We can save everyone."

Gale slowly whistled as her leaves starting to twirl in circles. Suddenly she let out a loud whistle yet high pitch whistle that made Hans hold his ear and grunt.

Gale's whistle echoed throughout the whole forest. Suddenly a loud thud caught Hans attention as it followed with the earth below his feet shaking.

His eyes widened as the loud thuds continued and the ground shook. It's as if he was in an earthquake. But suddenly he realized that was not the case. Because he realized they were giant footsteps.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Just around the mountain appeared three large creatures. So large they even covered the morning sun. Hans remembered what they were.

All three of them shook the earth as they stopped right in front of him. They're large faces in front of Hans. "Oh shi--" He said to himself until he was interrupted by a thunderous noise.

ROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!

Hans and Bruni held unto dear life as the loud roar sent them backwards that they hit the cave wall. After the loud and long roar finally ended Hans and Bruni blinked several times trying to find they're composure.

"Ahem, well... I'll take that as a yes then..." Said Hans as he dusted himself.

NEEIIIGGGGHHHH!

Hans turned to the familiar neigh of the horse. Except he knew better than anyone that there were no horses in the enchanted forest. All except one.

NEIIGGHHHH!

The water spirit neighed again as it majestically appeared from the giant waterfall where Hans usually bathed and collected water from.

It stood among him with it's glowing blue eyes staring at his soul. It's presence was somehow more powerful than all of them combined.

All four spirits were present and each of them looking at Hans, ready to assist in any way they can. But not for him. Not in the least. They were there to help the fifth spirit and the Northuldra.

And he knew that.

"Okay. Here's the plan." Said Hans.

Northuldra camp

"Last chance!" Exclaimed Tadashi as he stood before the ice wall where now icicle spears were pressed on the top and numbering the men.

"You can't win this. You have all seen how we outnumber you." He exclaimed.

Yelena stepped forward and stood her ground with the staff in her hands as she calmly stared at the approaching league together.

Rha's was in the back with his arms behind his back as usual. Calm and with no worry in his face at all. Master Hanzo the was approaching Tadashi eager to attack already.

"They are fools. If it's death they want than it's death they'll get." He said sadistically.

Tadashi swallowed his saliva nervously as he watched the men ready to charge at their Master's command.

His nerves were starting to build up as he watched the remaining children be guided into the forest while even young teenagers had weapons in their hand ready to defend by request of Yelena.

Elsa with every able person available to fight stood behind her as she raised her hands up ready to blast them into ice they second they broke through the walls.

"No matter what happens, Anna. Promise me you'll return back to Arendelle." Said Elsa.

"Not without you." Replied Anna firmly as she adjusted her composure with the sword made of ice in her hands. "And not before helping the people of Northudlra first."

Damien walked towards the Queens of Arendelle and drew out for sword. Ready to die for the sisters if need be. Elsa nodded her head as if they were accepting their fate.

Hanna who had come back from inspecting the forest with her shield maidens Torvi, was immediately welcomed by Cassandra who went to greet her halfway.

"They're about to barricade through the whole wall. Our forty-eight hours is about to run out in one minute." Explained Cassandra

"What do we do, Princess Hanna?" Asked one of her shield maidens. Gunnhild, the mighty large one of all her warriors.

"The only thing we can do." Said Hanna drawing out her sword. "We fight."

Cassandra and the rest of the woman followed pursuit and they too drew out their swords to join Hanna's side.

Honeymarenand Ryder stood in the front of the assembly next to Yelena. Kristina was carrying the last toddler in her arms as she too followed the group of children into the forest.

That's when suddenly his conscious kicked in. He did not want to do this.

He looked towards his fellow friends in the league who also seemed concerned like him. Then he turned to Ra's who was waiting patiently still, eager for the next move.

Tadashi was struggling to open his mouth and say something until suddenly a small yet gentle breeze started to build up as it glided through the many forests trees making a peaceful noise.

The wind carried on and soon the winds started to pick up. No one thought anything of it as they realized the wind was growing stronger.

But suddenly a large gush of wind blasted through the whole camp and threw every single league member to the ground. All except Ra's who stood as firm as he could while covering the face with his wind.

Elsa's eyes widened when she realized what it was that was creating a huge wind affect to send everyone except her and the rest of the people behind her falling to the ground.

She could feel it. She could feel the magic.

Many of the league members tried getting to their feet but would keep falling as the wind blew them harder.

Suddenly the winds picked up so hard that a twister started to form directly above the league members. It started carrying many of them. This time not even Rha's could avoid it.

Honeymaren and Ryder watched speechless and jaw dropped with Yelena and by their side.

Tadashi was thrown around in circles trying to find a way to escape but the powerful wind had them all in its grasp.

As some of them started to fall to the ground, they quickly rose to their feet in panic trying to find a way to escape this sudden but powerful twister.

Many of them began to run away but suddenly large pink flames shot out in front of them, practically completely surrounding all the panicking league members.

The pink flames were even jumping from tree to tree as if it were some sort of squirrel on fire.

"What is going on?!" Exclaimed a angry Hanzo as he grabbed Tadashi by the neck color.

"I--I don't know what's going on--" but suddenly he couldn't talk as there began to be a giant shadow that covered the whole men and woman.

There was a giant shake in the earth as everyone slowly turned around to see where the noise and rumbling was coming from.

And there suddenly from the fog came out three large monsters. For that's what it seemed like to them. Large monsters made of rocks with low noises or grunts escaping them.

Anna knew that noise anywhere. "Earth giants..." She said.

ROOOAAAAAARRRRRRREE!

The same large noise blasted through all of them again, sending all of them to the ground and with fear.

All of the Northudlra were in awe as seeing the spirits of the forest come help them.

"Did you call them??" Exclaimed Anna to Elsa.

"I.. n--no.." Elsa was speechless. The wind, fire and earth spirit were there, helping all of them as they continued to torment the men

But suddenly there was a loud and magical neigh that rang through everyone's ear.

NEEEEIIIGHHHHH!

Elsa gasped. She knew the neigh anywhere as she turned to the direction of where it came from.

And although she was fully expecting to see the nokk, her brows furrowed when instead she saw a man slowly appearing up the hill of where the neigh came from.

Everyone watched for the all thought it was one of Rha's men for he had wore same attire as the other league members.

His face was even covered like all of them and he seemed to be the only one on his feet compared to he other league members that were just manhandled by the spirits.

Everyone furrowed their brows trying to see what in the world was going on. But Hanna had a feeling. And suddenly her lips started to form a smirk.

With the magical flames burning behind him, the man slowly reached for his face cover and removed it completely, exposing the man's auburn hair, his beard and his handsome features with his glare focused right on Rha's and his emeralds glowing.

It was Hans. And he was back from the dead for revenge.

To say that everyone practically gasped and felt goosebumps run though their arms and back was an understatement.

Elsa's mouth never closed from pure astonishment. Even Anna had a hard time believing what she was seeing as she joined Elsa.

The Northuldran twins were completely taken back. Even Honeymaren was blinking several times to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

"He's back." Cassandra as she began to form a smile on her lips.

"Ra's!!!!!" Exclaimed Hans angrily as he began to descend from the hill while Ra's and every one of the league members watched in horror as if they were seeing a ghost.

"I never yielded! And as you can see, I am NOT dead!" Exclaimed Hans.

Ra's couldn't even speak for a momennt until he finally blurred out with with exaggeration and panic. "Attack them NOW! Kill all of them!!!"

Immediately all of the league members rose to their feet and began to charge at Hans. Allow except Tadashi who continued to stare at him in complete shock.

"What are you doing!? Attack him!" Exclaimed Ra's to Tadashi as he forced him to stand on his feet.

One by one Hans took them all. Countering every attack and quickly knocking them out cold as fast as he could.

"This our chance!" Exclaimed Yelena. "Defend our forest, defend our people!"

"CHARGE!" Exclaimed Hanna as her shield maidens followed behind with roars of war.

Elsa quickly thawed the wall and created a large entrance for everyone to pas by as she and Anna also began to charge forward.

And before anyone knew it, war erupted in the forest once more. This time the Northudlra and Arendelle were fighting together and not one another.

Hans countered a viscous spear that was about to go into his eyes before he drove his axe straight into the man's skull.

Than Hans took out three star shaped blades from inside his coat and sent them flying forward as they collided to three league members faces.

One of the league members was about to come from behind by surprise and knock Hans down until suddenly a large shield collided with the league member and knocked him out cold instead, immediately causing blood to squirt out of his noise from the impact.

Hans knew that shield anywhere. Hanna.

Hans turned around to where his sister was fighting beside him as she too countered and would strike with her skillful fighting technique.

"Nice to have you back." She grunted as she knocked another league member of his feet and drove her sword into his chest.

"We'll we didn't want you ugly crying over me now would we?" He said as he drove the back of his daggers handle into a league members eye, completely blinding him.

Hanna rolled her eyes as the twins continued to fight. And not just them, every single one of them had gotten involved. Every Northuldra and even all the spirits were doing their part.

Elsa was shooting her magic at them. Anna was striking men one at a time to make them go unconscious. Cassandra and Damien were even teaming up at times. And Honeymaren although injured still managed to get to the battlefield to cut and drive her spear into as many men as she could.

It was a battle to save the forest. A battle to save Northuldra.

Hans quickly countered another viscous spear that was headed his way and grabbed it with his hand before he kicked the man so hard in his stomach that he fell to the ground holding it.

Then he quickly turned to Ra's who was partaking in shedding as much blood as he can.

When Ra's sensed someone was watching him, he turned to the direction of that feeling grudgingly.

But Hans wasted no time and quickly threw the spear at him and landed inches next to his face where a nearby tree was.

Ra's eyes widened at seeing this as he turned to the direction the spear had flown from. As expected it was Hans who was glaring at him and his eyes glowing brighter.

A clear message was sent. He wanted to challenge him again. And not once did he look away.

Ra's glared back at Hans. He then picked up the first sword he could find and held it over his left shoulder with the blade curving downward, and charged at Hans with a battle cry.

Ra's leaped in the air, attempting to bisect Hans with a downward slash, but he dodge rolled out of the way in time and countered with a strong punch to Ra's left cheek.

Ra's stumbled back, but quickly refocused himself, coming at Hans with several slashes, all of which he evaded. Hans then saw an opening and hit Ra's with a roundhouse kick that sent Ra's flying backwards.

Hans ignored the pain increasing at the side of his stomach and instead pulled out his axe. He charged towards Ra's but this time Ra's drove his fist right at Hans stomach to which Hans hissed in pain.

This continued for several minutes as the two fought in the heart of the whole battle. Right dead in the center.

Everyone around them slowly stopped fighting as they paid attention to the two men. But more so at Hans who was beginning to see stars.

He could feel the inside of his stomach burning as if he could puke all of his intestines out right now.

Ra's drove his sword at hans but he quickly countered with his axe and jumped out of the way. But the pain Hans felt was too much and soon Ra's was able to grasp him again and threw him over his shoulder and hard unto the ground.

Than Ra's quickly jumped on top of Hans and began to punch him repeatedly in the face and sometimes into the side of his stomach causing him to spit blood occasionally.

"Come on Hans, get up!" Exclaimed Hanna with fury as a powerful punch rocked his world again. This time causing immediate bruise on his left cheek.

Hans quickly grabbed his long and sharp dagger out of his own boot and brought it down to pierce Hans heart. But Hans quickly grabbed a hold of Ra's wrist, preventing him from going any further.

It was a battle of strength at this point and Hans quickly took advantage and kneed Ra's right in the parts where a man suffers most pain.

With Ra's grunting from pain, Hans quickly wrapped his legs into Ra's neck and installed pressure and even grabbed a hold of his arm.

He had wrapped Ra's into a triangle submission which blocked the air from his respiratory system. Ra's began to panic because he was unable to breathe.

He quickly summoned all the strength he could and raised Hans up before he slammed him to the ground, causing Hans to collide the back of his head to the roots of a tree.

Ra's quickly escaped his grasp and went for another punch but this time Hans countered again and grabbed his grandfathers dagger from his own boot and cut Ra's wrist, immediately causing blood to spill.

Hans quickly rose to his feet and began to counter every kick and punch Ra's sent his way, this time with the sword in his hand as he tried cutting Hans head.

Ra's grunted in anger as he dove to grab Hans again but Hans this time collided his knee to Ra's chin. Sending him backwards.

Hans quickly took advantage and jumped to grab Ra's arm. Than with one powerful motion Hans threw him over so hard that it snapped Ra's arm, forcing him to let go of the sword.

He cried in anger but that didn't stop Hans. He got on top of him and began to beat him repeatedly. The beating grew so intense that Hans began to go berserk, even driving his own skull into Rha's brain.

Blood completely covered Ra's as Hans continued to punch again and again. Never had Elsa seen Hans go so rogue like he was going right now.

The only ones who knew about this sudden burst of anger was Hanna and Cassandra.

Finally after a few seconds Hans stopped as he breathed heavily from the constant beating he had given him. Ra's was barely breathing.

Hans rose to his feet in obvious exhaustion as he walked towards his right and very weakly grabbed a hold of Tadashi's sword that was lying on the ground.

Ra's saw from the corner of his eyes where he could see Hans looking down at him with a threatening glare. He was holding Ra's sword in his hands. He raised his hands, the sword's blade pointing straight at Ra's throat.

Everyone watched with wide eyes as Hans looked like he was about to end Ra's life. Hans thrusted the blade down but instead of stabbing Ra's in the chest, Hans stuck the blade in the dirt next to Ra's head. Ra's looked at the blade with widened eyes before turning back to Hans wondering if he had died or not.

But he hasn't. Hans didn't kill him.

Instead he was met with a viscous and ever glowing glare from the man who had just spared his life. His dark tunic beginning to feel warm snd wet underneath.

"Leave." Hans breathed out.

Ra's eyes widened again.

"Leave now and never return." He warned.

Hans very weakly and slowly stood back up and started to walk away, holding his even worse damaged stomach.

Everyone had stopped fighting and were in complete shock, especially the league. They just witnessed their leader be handed by none other than Hans himself. A weak and injured Hans.

Tadashi especially was left without words. Hans had done the unthinkable and offered mercy to Ra's even if he did not deserve it.

But Ra's was too enraged to care about his warning. He grabbed his sword and charged at Hans to stab him in the back.

Everyone held in their breath at what was about to come. Hanna had already began to charge forward to try to save her brother.

But suddenly there was a flash of blue light, followed by the sound of something sharp piercing flesh, and the loud scream of a man in immense pain, followed by bloody gurgling, and then... nothing.

Hans had heard it all. He turned around and his eyes winded when he saw that Ra's had been impaled by a giant ice spike.

With his sword still in his hand, Ra's gave Hans one final glare and rose his sword up as if he was hoping he could finish him. But then all at once Ra's arm collapsed as did his lifeless corpse.

The leader of the league of shadows had died.

Hans turned to his right to look at the person he knew had created the spike with his expression still shocked as to what just occurred.

Elsa stood there, her left palm outstretched in front of her, shaking and trembling. Her face full of pure horror at what she had done.

Anna was in just as much shock as Elsa was, but someone had to say something to what was left of the league. So she walked forward until she was in between the league and the Northuldra.

"I'm only going to say this once. Get the hell out of my country! Leave! And never come back!" Anna warned with the authoritative voice of a Queen.

Hanzo, Ra's right hand man quickly jumped forward and was about to go and end this Queen's life, but Tadashi grabbed his arm and held him back.

"What are you-?!"

"We need to leave now."

"But what about-?!"

"It's not worth it, Master Hasashi."

Hanzo glared at Tadashi. Unsure as to what he wa a getting at. But when he saw how serious Tadashi was he grudgingly have in, knowing he was right.

"You're in charge now. Hanzo." Said Hans as he followed it with a weak cough. "The league... it's yours.."

Silence still filled the camp as the two men looked at each other. Finally Hanzo looked away and sighed deeply.

"Grab Ra's body and let us go. We are leaving." Hanzo declared to the league.

Immediately all the league members did as they were told as a few man grabbed the body of their former leader and carried it with them as the Northuldra watched in relief as the people who had invaded their home were now leaving forever.

Hans and the others watched as they disappeared into the dark forest where they could no longer be seen ever again.

All except Tadashi and his few men who turned to Hans who was starting to turn pale.

Tadashi was about to call out to him until Hanna came over to check on him, she too realizing her brother seemed off right just about now, and that's besides the fight he had just been in.

"Hans? You okay?" She asked.

Hans said nothing. All at once he could feel his whole body shutting down and his world spinning in countless circles.

He couldn't even move a muscle. It's like his body had lost full control.

"Hans??" Called out his twin sister again.

THUD!

"Hans?!" Hanna exclaimed as her brother suddenly collapsed to the ground. "Help! Somebody please help!

Tadashi raced forwards next to Hanna and soon enough Hans was surrounded by the large group. Rhanda quickly started to give demands.

"Hold up his head!" Shouted Rhanda as Hanna grabbed her brothers bloody head and placed it on her lap while Rhanda lifted up his drenched and warm tunic. "He's losing too much blood!"

"What can we do?" Asked Tadashi with a worried expression as everyone else surrounding him also grew worried.

"Just, keep pressure on his wound right here!"

"Okay! Come on, Hans! You are NOT dying on me today!" Exclaimed Hanna as she reached forward only for her and Elsa to touch hands.

Hanna didn't even realize that Elsa without question immediately placed her hand on his bloodied stomach to sustain pressure. Almost as if it was a natural instinct.

All the while, Hans' vision began to get blurry. The voices of those trying to keep him from dying became more faint.

"I can't get a pulse!" Exclaimed Rhanda.

Hans could hear his frantic sister yelling at Rhanda and Tadashi also trying to find a solution with Cassandra also demanding answers. He could see Ivan and the remaining league members pacing in circles with their hands on their head with worry.

Everyone was shouting at everyone at this very moment and soon enough he wouldn't be able to hear or see anything. He could feel those two senses leaving his body.

He couldn't feel anything anymore. He couldn't hear his heart and he couldn't make out a thought. And the last thing he could barely feel was a cold blast coming from someone's hands.

And last thing he saw before he went unconscious was the concerned face of Elsa.

Hans..

Came a strange and motherly voice he had never heard before.

Hans..

He suddenly heard it again.

And then everything went black.
