Several hours had passed since lunch was finished: it was now dusk, and everyone was at the Seirei Plaza, waiting for Gabriela to start singing. The party was at the back of the stand waiting for everyone to finish up the preparations, and the monarchs, Gabriela, Kagome, Miko and Selfaia were standing at the front. Meanwhile, the lower part of the stand was surrounded by guards and knights wearing armors of all the imaginable colors and the plaza was filled to the brim with people: normal townsfolk and some that seemed to be holding some sort of cameras and antennas attached to their Dragtemns.
- "And we didn't have a chance to ask anyone how the rehearsals for the afternoon went…" – said Gerardo saddened while Iadla cooed from his shoulder and rubbed her head against his chin.
- "Yeah, but at least the king, the queen and Selfaia look very happy" – said Tiffany with Flameck growling from her head – "Maybe that means everything went well" –
- "Yeah, maybe… It's just I can't stop being concerned… after all the problems they had this morning…" – said Gerardo a bit worried.
- "Keh, Kagome's gotta do it well. She's a pretty good singer" – said Inuyasha crossing his arms and Gouka spread his small wings from behind him. This made everyone snicker due to the image they formed.
- "Though that was as part of a choir, and both she and Miko sang together with the Hourai Island kids with us, so she's never really sung alone. But yeah, I hope Miko does it great too. She's been pretty good at singing Seirei magic whenever we were practicing" – said Yasha convinced while Pyrafile nodded in agreement with him.
- "And by the way… Did you manage to complete the song, Gerar?" – asked Miguel with interest while Eolia hovered next to him by flapping her wings.
- "Ahahaha… I want to kill myself… Why Infel had to make its coding so complicated…? I spent the whole day on it, and while most of the problems are already solved, for some reason I'm still getting weird bugs during the link-up with Infel Phira that would cause severe emotional distortions in the song and to the IPDs if it was executed outside of the simulator. Under these conditions… the IPDs are sure to reject her or something worse…" – said Gerardo annoyed as he brought up the holographic screen to show them the code section that was giving him headaches. Iadla just rubbed his face with one of her wings.
- "Hmm, but are you sure it should be like this?" – said Carlos looking at the screen, leaving Chills looking at him dumbfounded – "According to what you've explained us about Hymmnos, this slash and dot should be placed at the very end, and this semicolon here seems to be causing the instruction it's in the middle of to be breaking itself prematurely" –
- "Damn, how did I miss these!?" – said Gerardo hitting himself on the forehead while Iadla went agape. He corrected the mistakes that Carlos pointed him out, and once he did and tried running the simulation, he saw how the graph showed the H-Wave flow behaving the way he was expecting and that all the bugs that had been frustrating him so much had disappeared – "Whoa, thanks Carlos! I forgot you also dabbled into programming, and you really saved me there! Well, give me a second, as I've gotta tell the king something!" –
He then closed up the program, dismissed the holographic screen and walked to the king.
- "That means we're getting a double feature now, huh?" – said Henry amused while Anryuujin cooed from his head. Then they saw how Gerardo went up to the king and respectfully called him out. The king turned around and they both began talking.
- "Yeah. Gerar was getting pretty annoyed at not being able to complete that song so Gaby could sing it during this ceremony, so you can guess how he's now he got that weight lifted away" – said Miguel smiling while Eolia made laughing sounds.
- "Heh, and Carlos really outdid himself in there" – said Kember laughing with Natura smiling and flapping her wings on his shoulder.
- "Hehe, well, any programmer makes mistakes they can't spot easily" – said Carlos smiling with pride – "It's like writing any sort of paper or fiction: sometimes you need a second pair of eyes to check out things. Plus, looks like that IDE for Hymmnos doesn't handle syntax errors as well as the ones for the programming languages we have in our world do" –
- "So, we're gonna see the power they use in that Ar Ciel place, right?" – asked Inuyasha smiling with enthusiasm – "It'd be better if it was for Kagome though" –
- "Hehe, but this isn't time to be getting envious, Inuyasha-nii" – giggled Yasha.
- "And who's that Infel person ya mentioned?" – asked Inuyasha intrigued.
- "Oh, she was the original creator and singer of the song Gerar was modifying, and an exceptionally intelligent person" – said Miguel. He began laughing – "She also had a sense of humor pretty similar to Roger's and mine" –
- "Dammit… Another one who tells lame jokes…" – scoffed Inuyasha.
- "In any case, you can ask Gerar for details once we're done with this" – said Henry smiling as he shrugged – "But doesn't anyone else still think it's weird that Gaby, Kagome and Miko are not wearing their Priestess outfits?" –
- "Well, the king, the queen and Selfaia told them that they should wear their normal Dragonian clothes for now, as that's part of the ceremony for it to be like that, remember?" – said Roger shrugging while Daichi tilted his head – "Maybe it's for some special purpose, it has some sorta meaning or who knows" -
At that time, everyone went silent and the chatter in the plaza around them died down: the king and queen had raised their arms to call for attention, and the workers that had been giving the final touches to the stand had already taken their leave.
The king then stood in front of everyone to address their audience as his dragon, a large green one with red markings, descended from above as if to call the attention of everyone and sat down next to his partner:
- "Good evening, our beloved citizens! We, the Royal Family stand before you all to announce the following. Tonight we gather here and we reach out to everybody living in other latitudes through the media networks for a truly blessed occasion: our Prince Gerardo Iadlase Drackma and our Princess Gabriela Illyusa Drackma have finally returned to us. However, our Princess has lost her access to her Priestess powers due to unforeseen circumstances during their journey, and likewise, her Assistant Priestess has gone missing. It is due to these happenings that a new duet of Assistant Priestesses has been chosen to serve as her companions, as well as it being the reason for why our Princess will now sing the Song of Proof, which has been bequeathed upon from time immemorial, to demonstrate her position as our current Priestess of the Dragon!" –
The townspeople began muttering among themselves surprised as soon as the king finished his speech:
- "They're really the Prince and Princess!?" –
- "I knew it! I recognized them as soon as I saw them yesterday on the monorail!" –
- "Ah! I saw them on the Seirei Plaza this afternoon!" -
- "Oh, thank Tiarrashe! They finally have returned to us!" –
- "At long last these lazy ones have gotten back…" –
- "Yay! The Princess and her brother are back!"-
- "But what happened to Miss Mihoka…?" –
- "Two Assistant Priestesses for her!?" -
- "So now we give the stand to our Princess, so she may be able to tell you a few words before she commences her song!" – said the queen, her having her large white and blue dragon fly in and stay hovering next to her husband's. Gabriela, Miko and Kagome stepped in with nervousness imprinted on their faces.
- "Umm… good night, everyone…. As His Majesty, my… father has just told you, I am here tonight to sing… again the song that marks me as the Priestess of the Dragon. I shall… do my best to save our world together with my friends, my brother and my Assistant Priestesses, both of which are very dear friends to me!" – said Gabriela. While she was very nervous, to the point she was shaking and trembling, she began gaining confidence as she talked, until she showed a very determined face to everyone. Drago also softly poked her on the back whenever she stopped so she wouldn't falter too much.
- "And similarly, here we pledge we will focus all our efforts into the salvation of this beautiful world. We vow to carry out the duties that are expected of us!" – said Kagome with decision as Shia emitted a musical-sounding growl.
- "Yeah! I haven't been in this world for very long, being a lost migrant just like my sister and our two best friends, yet I have come to really love Dragonia and the people living in it!" – said Miko closing her hands and smiling with determination as Neria growled loudly – "That is why we will be helping Her Highness Gabriela the best we can!" –
- "And so we can carry out these goals, please cooperate with us when the time comes. And for now… please listen to it… to the Song of Proof that contains my feelings for this land and everyone on it!" – said Gabriela as she clasped her hands in front of herself and closed her eyes. Miko and Kagome grabbed each other's hands at her side and closed their eyes as the three dragons that were with them flew away to were their friends were standing. The three breathed in and out a few times under the expectant look of everyone gathered in the plaza.

They then began singing… A soft combination of choruses was heard across the entirety of Dragonia as the usual emblems drew themselves at the feet of the three singers.
The voices stopped as the three grabbed a bit of air, and after a short instrumental interlude, they began singing again.

As they kept on singing, the people looked at them with a slight bit of suspicion and started talking among themselves.
- "Well, it's really similar to the Song of Proof she sang last year, even down to the lyrics being a retelling of our world's creation… But it feels like there's something different to it" –
- "Maybe it's because the Assistant Priestesses are different this time around?" -
- "And the emblems are still a bit dim for such an important song…" –
- "Hey, wait up! They're just beginning, and the emblems don't really start shining in full until the end!" -
But then, the music did a crescendo and Gabriela opened up her arms and eyes, the latter being colored in a pure white and having the elemental seal drawn over the pupils. This caught the attention of the ones that were muttering.

The elemental circles at the feet of the three girls then started shining with a bit more intensity, but they hadn't still reached the same level as even their basic spells.

As the chorus ended, Gabriela closed her eyes and clasped her hands in front of her chest once again, while Miko and Kagome kept on singing with their eyes closed and back-to-back. Selfaia was looking at this with a neutral expression, while the king and queen were worried but kept that emotion concealed from their faces. On the other hand, Gerardo and the others were worried, as they didn't know if the song was proceeding as it should or if something was wrong.

The people seemed to be a bit taken by their song, but they still weren't completely impressed by the display the three to-be priestesses were putting on in front of them. Even so, they looked at them expectant as their chatter began to die down. Gabriela just kept on focused on her singing while Kagome and Miko slowly opened their eyes and looked upwards as they also continued singing with her. Both of their eyes had taken on a shining white color too.

But when they started singing the chorus for a second time, several white lines made from light drew themselves over Gabriela's body as the elemental seal appeared over her forehead and the dragon's mark did the same over her heart, surprising everyone. Similarly, a circle made of white light surrounded Miko and Kagome, whose emblems had also appeared over their foreheads and hearts, and it then shot off a line that connected them to Gabriela. Selfaia started smiling satisfied and happy.

As this iteration of the chorus ended, Gabriela started softly floating upwards as she spread her arms open and also left her mouth slightly gaping, as if she was relaxing herself. Kagome and Miko floated upwards, and they all were surrounded by a strong light. As the instrumental bridge was heard, they emerged from the light wearing their Priestess outfits, this garnering them admiration and surprise from their friends.
But before anyone could comment anything, the song interrupted itself for a moment to repeat one of the first lines they had sung…

The song did a crescendo again as Gabriela placed her hands over her heart and opened her eyes to look at everyone around her. Kagome and Miko did the same, and the emblems that had followed them in their short trip up through the air shone even stronger, now on the same intensity as when they had sung the song to open the gateway to Dragonia. The crowd gasped.

However, they interrupted this iteration of the chorus right before the last word, the music following along with them, as they closed their eyes for an instant.

They opened their eyes and Gabriela spread her arms in full and smiled as she started doing something like a small dance on the air, twirling and spinning over one of her toes to then move from a side to the other as if she was jumping right where she was floating. They had skipped right to the second version of the chorus, and as they sang, six transparent orbs colored after the elements appeared from the night sky and circled around them, showering them in a multicolored light as their Priestess garbs started shining once again. Miko and Kagome separated but kept grabbing each other's' hands, and a pair of dragon wings sprouted on the backs of each of the three girls. Following this, more elegant, open and stylized dragon armors than the ones they used to wear for battle appeared over their bodies. The orbs then vanished again into thin air.

The crowd gasped and cheered when they saw the appearance of the armors to then kneel in front of the three Priestesses, including Selfaia, the monarchs and the party from both Earths. As the final verse came to a close, Gabriela once again closed her eyes and placed her hands over her heart as she, Kagome and Miko started softly descending back to the ground, while still singing a few simple vocalizations. The song finally came to a close with a bass piano chord and strings when they touched the ground and the emblems and lines over them vanished. They then opened their eyes, all of which had regained their normal colors.

But before they could say anything they heard another song being sung around them… It was a very simple piece, but it sounded beautiful and moving to the ears.

The three girls were still dumbfounded and they took a little long to notice where the song was coming from, but after a few seconds they saw it: all the children in the plaza were singing with gentle voices that beautiful piece, all of them with tears on their eyes, and looking at them with reverence and happiness, clasping their hands in front of their chests. The three of them felt something shrink on their chests, and both Gabriela and Miko started shedding tears as well.

After the children finished their song and silence returned to the plaza, the rest of the people started getting up and looking at the three newly instated Priestesses with awe and joy.
- "Our dear citizens, as you all have witnessed, Princess Gabriela and her two new Assistant Priestesses, Kagome and Miko Higurashi, have demonstrated they are the legitimate Priestesses for the current generation!" – announced the king after he, the queen and Selfaia had taken a few instants to recover from the emotional impact the Priestess instatement ceremony had caused them.
- "The Dragon Gods have given Princess Gabriela their favor once again, and they have also done the same for her precious friends! All hail our new Priestesses!" – announced Selfaia with joy. The crowd instantly started clapping and cheering for the three of them.
- "All hail Princess Gabriela! All hail Kagome and Miko! May the Dragon Gods grant them their everlasting blessings!" -
Gerardo and his friends were also part of this, as they were looking at them with pride and also smiling openly at how the ceremony had been a complete success.
- "It was beautiful. It was a really beautiful sight to behold" – said Gerardo proud of his little sister.
- "Yeah. The Song of Proof was nothing to sniff at, and the song the kids sang afterwards was very moving too" – commented Henry.
- "I'm not into that kinda music, but I gotta admit it was great" – said Inuyasha clapping – "Way to go, Kagome!" –
- "And don't forget Miko! She was great out there too!" – said Yasha with a smile. All their dragons also emitted small cries and growls that sounded very satisfied.
- "But I don't think the show's gonna end just with that, right?" – said Miguel as the applauses started dying out – "After all, you told the king about what you finished right before they started singing, right?" –
- "Yeah, so it's going to be my turn to get out on stage very soon too" – said Gerardo looking a bit nervous.
- "Ah, of course…. You gotta Download that song into Gaby, right?" – said Roger with interest.
- "But how're you going to do that? Gaby isn't a Reyvateil, and I don't think you can Download it directly from the Dragtemn, right?" – asked Carlos raising an eyebrow intrigued.
- "Luckily, the Download program is configured to link up with a dummy Reyvateil setup that will give a connection to Infel Phira to whoever sings this song, though it's limited to a single person" – explained Gerardo – "The only problem is that I need to transfer the song's feelings to a receptacle, but luckily I found a crystal shell on the Prince's room I can use for that" –
- "No way! You're telling us they've got Grathnodes here too!?" – asked Henry shocked.
- "They don't… But it seems that this type of crystal can be used for a similar role when it comes to preserving feelings, though in a much less permanent way" – said Gerardo as he took out from his shouf a rhomboidal piece of white-colored crystal which Iadla looked at with interest. He then got out the wrist he had his Dragtemn on as the programming screen appeared and he held the crystal in front of it with his other hand – "cEzYA hymmnos. #5100 -c tArm azit tn='METAFALICA' es tn= " –
A bunch of Hymmnos lines appeared around the Dragtemn and flowed from it to the crystal. When they had disappeared, everyone noticed the crystal had now taken on a soft violet color. This surprised all the dragons that were with them, and while some people saw a bit of what Gerardo was doing, they didn't pay much attention because they were focused on the appointment of the new Priestesses.
- "Hmm, like the original METHOD_METAFALICA/. crystal…" – observed Gerardo with satisfaction.
- "And looks like it's time" – said Kember pointing to the king with a gesture –"Look, His Majesty is about to address everyone again" –
And like he had said, King Yulius was standing in front of the audience once again.
- "Citizens of Dragonia, with this I declare the Ceremony of Proof for our Priestess of the Dragon and her Assistant Priestesses as complete" – said he while the audience looked at him satisfied and the armors Gabriela, Kagome and Miko were wearing dismissed themselves, leaving them in their Priestess regalia – "However, there is still one more matter to attend" –
The members of the crowd started looking at each other once again confused.
- "Huh? What could that be?" –
- "He just said that the ceremony was already complete…" –
- "Maybe they discovered something?" –
- "Are they going to do something else?" –
- "I imagine you all must have all sort of doubts and questions" – said the king with a bemused smile as he continued talking – "Therefore, I shall give the stand to our Prince, Gerardo Iadlase Drackma, so he might explain what this matter entails!" –
The king stepped aside as Gerardo walked to where he was moments ago after he was called. Gerardo gulped down from the nerves as the eyes of the crowd were all set on him.
- "Calm down… You can do this… You didn't spend all this time reprogramming the song just to mess up an address…" – he told himself as he breathed deeply. His friends looked at him with worry and Iadla growled at his side.
- "Gerar…" – said Gabriela anguished as Drago alternately looked at Gerardo and at his partner. After coughing a little to clear up his throat, and gathering all his courage, Gerardo started speaking…
- "Dear citizens of Dragonia… Good evening to all of you…" – he said moving his hands nervously. Iadla screeched from his shoulder while telling to him to his mind that everything would be okay – "I know this is an unusual situation… but it is because there is something I must inform you all of. From the travels me and my friends have been carrying out, and the research we have done, we have reached the conclusion that defeating Tenebross just with the power that is available in this world will be an impossible task" –
He stopped for a moment so the crowd could swallow down what he just had said.
- "I-Impossible!?" –
- "No way! He's saying we can't do anything!" –
- "We're doomed!" –
- 'Man… They took it worse than I expected…' – thought he as he sweatdropped. He kept himself just looking at the crowd until they quieted down, though their gazes were filled with despair and fear.
- "Therefore, we shall have to make use of powers borrowed from another world, and we already have the methods to do so at our disposal" – announced Gerardo with a smile, which made the crowd look at him with skepticism as Iadla loudly growled – "As a demonstration of it, I will make my sister manifest some of these powers right here and now! Pay close attention, as you will now bear witness to the songs and power from the world of Ar Ciel!" –
The crowd then started muttering among themselves again, but this time with enthusiasm, as Gabriela stepped in front toward Gerardo.
- "Whoa, another world where they use magic through the songs?" –
- "And I was thinking we were the only ones!" –
- "Prince Gerardo really gets some interesting ideas!" –
- "So you could do all of it, Gerar?" – asked Gabriela nervous while the crowd continued commenting on what Gerardo was about to do.
- "Yup, it's complete. You'll be able to sing that song as soon as I Download it into you" – said Gerardo smiling.
- "Okay! I'm ready for it! Download it whenever you want!" – said Gabriela jumping up and down.
- "I'll be going ahead then!" – said Gerardo as he put out his Dragtemn and the makeshift crystal in front of him – "cEzYA hymmnos. #5100 -x tArm azit tn='METAFALICA' es tn= "
A line of Hymmnos glyphs surrounded Gabriela and a ring of light went downward from her head to the ground whenever Gerardo pronounced one of the lines. When he finished, the crystal he had on his hand shone briefly, and Gabriela emitted a beautiful and radiant light.
- "This is… so beautiful…" – said Gabriela trying to hold back the tears – "I had heard it so many times… But I never thought the feelings this song had…. were so pretty and strong…" –
- "The Download was a success… I'm so glad…" – said Gerardo sighing relieved – "Well then, I'll be counting on you Gaby. Make sure to hit the IPDs with the strongest and most sincere feelings you can muster up!" –
- "I'll do it! I'll show you that I can sing this song to the end!" – said Gabriela regaining her composure as she prepared herself to sing.
- "Oh, I almost forgot…" – said Gerardo as he pulled out a piece of paper from his shouf – "As you won't have the support of the Hymmnoserver until you manage to successfully connect to Infel Phira, you won't be able to understand Hymmnos instinctively. That's why I have written down the initial blocks of lyrics to the original version of the song so you can have something to start off" –
- "Infel Phira could get fussy if I don't sing in Hymmnos, right?" – asked Gabriela with a partly bemused, part nervous expression.
- "Yeah… But I think that only the initial block will be enough, as long as you also sing these lines" – said Gerardo pointing to a couple parts of the sheet.
- "Lemme see… REPL/. = 1x01 MIO? OVERRIDE/. 0x11100101?" – asked Gabriela puzzled. Additionally, the parts that came right after the REPL/. line and that segued with another one a little more below didn't sound like anything she remembered from that song.
- "I'll explain what they're for once you're finished singing it" – said Gerardo. He then hugged his sister – "I'm sure you'll do it great just like you did with the Song of Proof, and I'll be here monitoring the song's execution to make sure nothing unexpected happens" –
- "Okay…" – said Gabriela. She took a deep breath to then turn to look at the people, who were looking at her in confusion and expectation while Gerardo, Iadla and Drago stepped away – "Dear people, here is the song that will allow us to borrow power from Ar Ciel. Please listen and feel it deep within yourselves!" –
Gabriela then placed the lyrics sheet that Gerardo had handed her in front of her face and started singing.

While the song had the backing instrumental and choruses being heard at the same time as Gabriela's own voice, no magical circles or emblems appeared at her feet or over her.

She also started feeling like something was entering her mind and that her concentration was starting to reach the same levels as when she sang normal Dragonian songs.

- "That voice…" – Gabriela instantly recognized it, even though she had never met its owner in person – "Is that… Lady Chroche!?" –

The song then stopped completely while Gabriela's feelings wavered, trying to respond to Chroche's questions.
- "It's because the deities of our world… And my brother… Did everything to try and get me this chance to establish a connection to Infel Phira… And we need it to save our world…! Our world is about to be destroyed so…" – said Gabriela as she begged Chroche – "Please, Lady Chroche! Please grant me the connection to Infel Phira…! We really, really need it to save our world!" –
- "These are such unusual circumstances…" – said Chroche in a serious voice – "Unfortunately, I cannot grant you the Queen's Authority over Infel Phira, as that would mean I would relinquish my position as such, and the IPDs and Metafalica still need me. Plus, there is no telling about what you would do to our land, given you apparently don't even live in the same world as us" –
- "No… Please… I'll do anything… But please, don't reject us…" – said Gabriela in a tearful voice. The shock was so great she was about to cut off the conversation completely and break down crying over having failed.
- "…But I have no objections to allowing you to use a copy of my register. That way, you will be capable of using the powers of the Song Server while I get to keep my authority as the current Maiden of Mio" – said Chroche in a bemused voice.
- "Then… Will you accept me? You're really going to let us do that!?" – asked Gabriela surprised but also radiant from joy.

I have felt the strong feelings you have been emanating, and while I have some qualms about the song you are using right now to do so, I see your need to use our powers is very well-justified" – said Chroche in a pleasant voice – "Therefore, I shall allow you to call upon us whenever you see fit, as long as it doesn't cause us any problems" –
- "Thank you! Thank you, Lady Chroche! You won't be disappointed!" – said Gabriela in a crying voice.

The people looked at it in amaze and awe.

However, the next system message appearing in the log was "Authorization granted. Emotional flow complying with spectrum flow requirements. Please confirm the song completes successfully to avoid any possible errors", so he sighed relieved and continued watching over Gabriela as she sang.

- "Dear citizens of Dragonia, with this we declare the ceremony for the Song of Proof complete! Both Prince Gerardo and Princess Gabriela have carried out a splendid job both in the Song of Proof and in the singing of this alien song. I am very sure that it will be of a great use to the salvation of our world!" – said the king smiling.

- "Ah, of course…" – replied Gerardo with a wavy smile – "The REPL/. line is the one that orders the Song to use a replicated Hymn Code. Since IPDs don't have that system, it instead replicates the authorization rights used by the Maiden of Mio, though she has to agree to let you use them first" –
- "Got it" – said Gabriela nodding – "And the second one?" –
- "The OVERRIDE command is used to modify part of a song's program while it's in execution" – said Gerardo – "Depending on how and where it's input, it can be used to change its effects in different degrees and also to cancel the song completely" -
- "It sounds like that Ar Ciel world is quite the interesting place. And we are glad as well that both the ceremony and your experiment were a success" – said the king walking to them – "Now, would you all accompany us for dinner? This is an occasion that deserves to be celebrated" –
- "Yes, of course!" – said Miguel rubbing his hands together. All the others were also nodding with joy imprinted on their faces.
- "Meh, at least we're getting something from this!" – said Inuyasha with his eyes shining.

But as they walked back to the castle escorted by a group of guards and knights, a figure was watching them from high above without them realizing it.
- "Hihihi, interesting…" – said a voice identical to Gabriela's own - "She did manage to replace me as the Priestess of the Dragon… And the other Gerar also set up something interesting for her… Hihi… The fun is just starting… Okay, I'll be looking forward to meeting you both for real… Other Gerar… Other Me…" –
The figure then vanished into the cold night air.
