Chapter 1 The Cave
Before Time Began.
There were...The Ancients.
We know not what created them.
Only that they hold unimaginable power.
Power to create life.
That was how the Earth was born.
Beings of incredible power and capable of taking on any form of Past, Present and Future.
For a time they led humanity to an age of peace and harmony.
And then came a great darkness.
A darkness that almost covered the Earth.
To fight this Darkness the Ancients gave a small group of people a great power.
A power that brought this Darkness to defeat.
Or so they thought.
One last hope remains to defeat this darkness.
One last Chance.
Present
Three members of the White Lotus were walking in the South Pole to a small house before a man known as Tonraq approached them.
"The white Lotus has honored my family by coming. Thank you." Tonraq said before letting them inside seeing his home where his wife was cleaning.
"Welcome." Senna said before a piece fell down.
"We have investigated many claims, both here and in the northern tribe. All have turned out to be false." The leader said making them smile.
"Then you should be happy to know your search has come to an end." Senna said.
"What makes you so certain your daughter is the one?"
"Korra, please come in here." Senna called out.
Suddenly a piece of the wall flew past the White Lotus shocking them before they saw the four year old Korra.
"I'm the Avatar! You gotta deal with it." Korra said demonstrating every Bending ability minus Airbending.
Thats when the ground began to shake making Korra yell as she fell over before her father picked her up.
"Whats going on?" Senna asked as they rushed outside before they looked at one the hills before seeing a it crumble apart revealing some cave as a bright aura of lights came out of it engulfing the night sky.
"Wow." Korra said in awe.
"What is this?" Tonraq asked.
2 days later
"How curious." Tenzin said as they were outside the cave where the lights were coming from.
"What is this?" Tonraq asked.
"I'm not sure. But I can only assume it has something to do with the spirits. Only they have this kind of power." Tenzin said.
"I suggest we move in and find out exactly whats in here." The Leader of the White Lotus said.
"Korra I want you to stay out here with Katara." Senna said.
"Aw." Korra whined.
Walking inside however they saw the walls were rather smooth instead of bumpy like they expected.
And along the walls were several Carvings of either people or strange creatures.
"What are these carvings on the wall?" Senna asked looking at one that looked like an infant dragon.
"I'm not sure. But these carvings feel...Ancient." Tenzin said seeing one that resembled a human with some staff.
Walking deeper into the cave however they found something they were not expecting.
What resembled to be a shrine with several statues of people in the room surrounding some coffin in ice.
"What is all this?" The Leader asked before they saw three more carvings above them. Two of Which were dragons and another was a large monster with wings on the back.
"Hmm." Tenzin said seeing the coffin before seeing three mirrors in the room along with light hitting them.
"What is it?" Tonraq asked.
"I wonder." Tenzin said using his airbending to move the mirrors around before they all hit some large jewel at the top of the room before it glowed before hitting the coffin as it was lifted up by the statues to the jewel.
"Whatever lies within that coffin is something important." Tenzin said.
Meanwhile
While this was going on another part of the White Lotus made another discovery.
Deep in the Earth Kingdom an expedition team had found what they believed to be some ancient tomb.
Thats when a pair of Earth benders made an opening before widening their eyes.
"What is this?"
Inside was a Sarcophagus without a face chained to the wall.
When more people showed up they were fascinated by this.
"Amazing. What would posses them to chain this up?"
Inside the coffin however was a mummified corpse with white hair around him.
Meanwhile
When the the Jewel finally melted all of the ice off it was lowered back down.
"Well...Let's find out whats inside." Tenzin said as they pushed the top off.
When it came off they looked inside before widening their eyes.
"What is it?" Senna asked looking in before gasping seeing a child that looked to be five years old. He had white skin and brown hair. On his forehead was some kind of symbol that resembled an eye.
"Who would bury the remains of a dead child inside here." Tenzin asked as they walked away before Senna took a closer look seeing his fingers and eyes move.
"I don't think he's dead." Senna said picking him up.
Meanwhile
The mummified remains eyes glowed red before an evil laughter was heard as the whole area started shaking like crazy.
"Whats going on?"
All they heard was an ancient language being spoken before the top of the cave came down making them scream.
Outside the White Lotus started scrambling.
"WE STILL GOT MEN IN THERE!"
"THIS PLACE IS CURSED!"
As the whole place began to sink into the ground before the laughter resumed.
"At long last you have returned after countless years! At long last I will have my REVENGE!"
Meanwhile
"Whats going on?" Senna asked holding the boy close before dark shadows began to take form of monsters shocking them.
Thats when one of the statues began to glow before a person appeared.
A man who had tanned skin a mix of Blonde, Black and Magenta hair and violet eyes. The most noticeable thing was some item around his neck.
"SHADOW CREATURES! BEGONE! I COMMAND YOU! RETURN FROM THE DARK REALM FROM WENCE YOU CAME!"
The monsters soon vanished in a bright light blinding everyone.
When it vanished everyone looked around the room seeing nothing as Senna held the boy close.
"What was all that?"
"I have no idea. But clearly theres more to this boy than..." Tenzin tried to say before they heard some kind of squeaking sound.
"What was that?" Tonraq asked.
Hearing it again Senna looked down seeing some furry looking creature with purple eyes looking at her as it bounced up and down.
"Hello." Senna said as it squeaked again.
"What in the world is that?"
Tenzin approached it as it continued to bounce.
"How Curious. I have never seen such a creature before." Tenzin said.
"Maybe we should leave before anything else happens."
"Right." Tonraq said before they all left.
When they finally left the cave however though they were surprised to see several strange creatures both on the ground and in the air. Some even had human appearances.
"You think this has anything to do with those carvings on the wall?" Tonraq asked.
"Perhaps. We need to investigate further before we make any claims." Tenzin said as they arrived back at the house where Korra was seen playing with some small animal with ruby eyes and had a large ruby on the tail.
Once Inside they placed the boy down while Korra looked at him curiously while the little furry creature sat next to him squeaking.
"So what do we do with him?" The Leader asked.
"I say we place him in a small outpost and study him." One said rather arrogantly.
"Absolutely not. This is a little boy not some animal." Tenzin said offended by such an idea.
Korra got closer to him before he slowly opened his eyes showing they were forest green before he sat up and looked at her.
"Hi." Korra waved.
"Hello." The boy said kindly.
"Whats your name?" Korra asked.
"Sean Ashburn Kruger." Sean said before the arrogant member grabbed him. "HEY!" Sean yelled as the others rushed in.
"I'm taking him to a facility to be studied so don't try to stop me!"
"Put him down!" Tenzin yelled before the little creatures pushed him down hard making him yell as Sean fell.
"Ow." Sean said annoyed as Korra held him.
"YOU WORTHLESS FREAKS!"
Thats when something came through the door and pulled him out making him yell in shock before he looked up seeing several of the new creatures glaring at him making him sweat before he was contained by Tonraq.
"Whatever these creatures are they sure seem protective of him." Tenzin said looking at the house seeing Sean and Korra close.
Deciding to head back into the cave Tenzin had one last look around.
"Strange...Why was he in that coffin? And why did these creatures appear when he did?" Tenzin asked himself before a bright glow was seen in some chest.
Approaching it he opened it up before finding some golden container inside and opened it seeing several golden pieces inside.
"Curious." Tenzin said before leaving.
Arriving back at Tonraq's home he placed the box down and talked to them about what to do with Sean.
Getting up to the box Korra picked it up before bringing it to Sean who looked inside.
"So what do you plan to do?" Tenzin asked.
"Senna and I will take him in for now. Korra's already gotten close to him. She's always wanted a friend anyway." Tonraq said smiling.
"Tonraq, Tenzin. Have a look at this." Senna said making them walk to her before seeing Sean with the pieces in hand putting them together. "It's a puzzle?" Senna asked.
"How strange. It's like he knows what to do right away." Tenzin said seeing Sean putting it together with no issues before he was halfway finished.
When he was nearly finished all had left was the center piece before Sean held it.
"Wonder what happens now?" Tonraq asked as Sean put it in before it glowed for a second but nothing else happened.
"Cool." Korra said holding it.
"I was expecting something else." Tonraq said.
"Wait a second. Isn't that the same item we saw on that man's neck?" Senna asked.
"Yes. Curious. I've never seen such an item before." Tenzin said.
"We'll find out more later right now it's getting late." Tonraq said.
Both Sean and Korra were in the same bed with the two creatures they had next to them making Tonraq and Senna smile before Tonraq held the item in hand.
"Whatever this thing is Sean seems to know something about it. We'll find out soon enough." Tonraq said as they went to bed.
As Sean and Korra slept however the same man from before appeared above them with a smile.
"At long last you are finally free." He said before vanishing.
Authors Note: And with that...The new crossover begins and with some questions building up. Why was Sean inside this tomb? Who was the other guy who awakened when Sean was discovered. And why did the monsters appear when Sean came out of the ice? Find out in later chapters. Now this was part of a massive update to introduce this story.
