Honestly don't expect anyone to review this. Very short one-shot, inspired by Nickelback's song 'Saving Me' (lyrics), the unhealthy amount of coke I have drunk, and the lateness of the hour. Because of this, I have probably made some horrific mistakes about something-or-other. Probably a hundred things I could do better, so feel free to constructively criticise.
Leon Scott Kennedy sat on the floor, his back against the wall in the castle. His head was in his hands, tears running thick and fast. Bodies surrounded him, blood leaking from various wounds where his weapons had struck true.
Show me what it's
like
To be the last one standing
He had managed to find himself cornered in a small room, and with no choice, had massacred the entire lot. Some looked quite young, and made heart-wrenching noises as they fell to the floor. Some had tried to help their companions, but were shot down also; falling on the bodies of their comrades.
And teach me wrong from right
He stood, wiping his eyes. He could grieve for his victims later, but right now he had to find Ashley.

Luis Sera ran down the corridor, sample clutched tightly in his hands. A tense, stabbing pain in his heart made him freeze in his tracks. He frowned, ran a hand across his jacket and stared at his fingers. Blood was dripping over his rings, and running down his hand. Alarmed, he gazed fearfully at his chest. Seeing nothing wrong, he looked back at his fingers which were now perfectly clean.
And I'll show you
what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me

Breaking into a sprint, he burst through assorted doors. Past decorated walls and the castle's startled residents, Luis put all his energy into reaching Leon, knowing that Saddler was right behind him.
And I'll leave this life behind me
As he ran, tears trickled down his face. Disregarding them, he crashed through one last door, stopping as he saw Leon turn to look at him.
Say it if it's worth saving me
00:14
He reached out his hand, trying to find one last bit of comfort. Leon walked forward and took the hand, squeezing gently, slightly confused. He looked at Luis to see the man was smiling softly, a look of resigned sadness on his face.
Heaven's gates won't
open up for me
With these broken wings I'm falling
A huge claw ripped through Luis's chest, missing Leon's face by inches. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment before Luis was cruelly hoisted into the air, and then thrown back down.
And all I see is you
The sample was no longer clutched in his hand, and he was vaguely aware of Leon shouting something, but more fascinated with the blood running across his fingers, he brought his hand to his face to watch the red liquid drip along his palm, leaving crimson ribbons in its wake.
These city walls
ain't got no love for me
I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story

Luis saw the face of the blond ex-cop; stricken with grief. He tried to talk, but his lungs refused the air required. Everything was becoming darker, and his eyes drooped with the effort of staying awake.
And oh I scream for you
00:01
With a last brave smile, the spark in Luis's eyes dulled, and they finally closed.
Come please I'm
calling
And all I need from you
Hurry I'm falling, I'm falling

Leon crouched down, entwined his fingers with the Spaniard's; red fluid covering them. All past uncertainty about killing these people was blown away in a spray of gore and blood. Leon now had no objections to gunning these bastards down, and he vowed to make Saddler suffer as much as he could.
He stood, staring down at the body with anger and pity etched on his face.
They'll pay for your death. I promise. Leon swore silently.
I promiseā¦
