Chapter 15 It's time to Duel
Its been a week since Republic City was destroyed by Anubis who used Amon to drain the bending energy to revitalize himself.
And Since Amon was killed by Bakura too retrieve the Eye from him since everyone was in a weakened state.
After the battle Hiroshi and every other Equalist were pardoned from their crimes seeing that Anubis used them all from the beginning for his own gains.
But as for Republic City everyone left or was in the middle of leaving since Anubis's actions had tainted the image it once had. To this day the Ancients were still finding dead bodies of those who died by his hand.
Right now Sean was watching Korra use her magic to make a transportation spell.
"Remind me again why you're doing this?" Sean asked.
"The others wanted to see the Ancients world so I'm taking them there for an hour. I haven't forgotten that the air there weakens people the first time they show up" Korra said.
"Oh I see. Well...Some time in that world might do us both some good." Sean said standing up.
"So how do you feel?" Korra asked.
"Still pissed. Bakura acted like a Coward and took one of the Seven items. Now he only needs six of the seven to complete what he needs." Sean said.
"Yeah. I'm surprised the Ancients haven't found the other four yet." Korra said.
"It's a large world. You have any idea how difficult it is to find those things? I'm sure someone keeps it as some antique or ancient treasure." Sean said.
"True. And who knows if they aren't at the bottom of the ocean." Korra said.
Thats when the others showed up.
"Oh man this is gonna be exciting." Bolin said.
"Act like an adult man." Sean said making him pout while the others laughed.
Thats when Korra activated her magic before Meelo looked at the runes on the ground.
"Whats the stuff on the ground?" Meelo asked.
"Those are runes. Thats how we're gonna get to the Ancients world." Sean said as Korra was almost finished.
"Looks ugly." Meelo said airbending it messing up the symbols.
"MEELO NO!" Korra yelled as a light engulfed them.
The only ones still there were Pema, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan who looked shocked.
"Meelo what have you done. Korra's parents are not gonna like this." Pema said shocked.
Meanwhile
Within another universe a man known as Seto Kaiba growled seeing Yugi and Joey in a death duel because of the actions of a man known as Marik.
"Seto, we gotta do something." Seto's little brother Mokuba said.
"Come on man." Tristan said.
"It's over Little Yugi." Marik said through Joey before a portal opened up. "WHAT!" Marik yelled before Sean and the others flew out.
"OW! What in the fuck just happened?" Sean asked before Seto stood above him with a raised eyebrow. "Uh hi." Sean said.
"Where did you come from?" Seto asked.
"Long story and I...Hey...Where are we? This doesn't look like the South." Sean said seeing a pier.
'Where did these people come from?' Marik asked intrigued by this development.
Sean groaned before Seto pulled him up.
"Guys you gotta stop this." Tea said getting his attention before seeing a crate above her head.
"Hey! What the hell is going on?" Sean asked.
"We can't stop the duel. If we do they'll drop that crate on Tea's head." Mokuba said.
"Is that so? Korra." Sean said making her nod before the water around them started shifting unnaturally.
"What the?" Seto said before a large Water Serpent appeared before roaring loudly.
'WHAT!' Marik yelled in shock as it charged at both his other mind slave and the crate forcing them both into the water making a splash.
"Whoa!" Tea yelled before Sean dashed at her before pulled the restraints off her.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. Thanks. But how did she do that?" Tea asked.
"What do you mean?" Sean asked.
"I hate to break this up but we got bigger problems!" Tristan yelled seeing the timer that would send both Yugi and Joey into the sea.
Thats when Sean pulled out his weapon before it turned into Vorse Raider's weapon which Seto noticed widening his eyes before he threw it at the chain before the timer went off breaking it before it could send both Yugi and Joey to the bottom of the ocean.
"Too close for comfort." Mokuba said as Seto looked at Sean in interest.
'How did he do that? Who are these people?' Seto asked before remembering something Ishizu told him.
Flashback
Before Seto could leave to prepare for the Battle city Tournament.
"Before you go there is one last thing you should know." Ishizu said.
"And that is?" Seto asked.
"Before the Semi Finals begin you will be visited by those from another world." Ishizu said making him scoff.
"Please. Now you're talking about Aliens?" Seto asked.
"I never said from space. Other worlds does have other meanings. You'll see what I mean soon enough." Ishizu said as he left.
End Flashback.
'Is this what she meant? That means her predictions are actually true. But who are they?' Seto asked before Sean dashed at Joey sensing he was being controlled.
"Who are you?" Marik asked before Sean grabbed him before he screamed.
"I don't know who you are punk but you're gonna get lost." Sean said before Joey stopped screaming before looking at him.
"Hey. Who are ya?" Joey asked making him smirk.
"I guess you can call me a friend." Sean said.
Later
"Thanks for saving both of us." Yugi said to Sean and the others.
"No problem...Now where in the hell are we? This is not the Southern Water Tribe." Sean said confusing them all.
"Southern Water Tribe?" Tristan asked.
Thats when the Spirit of Yugi's Millennium puzzle was seen by Yugi.
'What is it?' Yugi asked.
'Look around his neck.' Yami said making him do so before seeing the Millennium puzzle shocking him.
"How do you have the Millennium Puzzle?" Yugi asked before Sean saw he also had one.
"I was about to ask you that. This is the real deal. What is that a knock off?" Sean asked.
"Hey! Thats the real puzzle." Joey said.
"Will someone please explain whats going on?" Mako asked.
"I think I know." Seto said gaining their attention.
"What a shock." Tristan said.
"I don't suppose any of you are familiar with the Multiverse theory?" Seto asked.
"Multi...What?" Joey asked.
"Why do I even bother?" Seto asked.
"Multiverse. It's the concept of more than one Universe." Sean said.
"Well, Clearly we know who the smart one is." Seto said impressed.
"Nah thats Asami. I just know that from studying." Sean said pointing his thumb at her making her grin at the praise.
"I see." Seto said looking at her.
"So what is this Multiverse theory?" Duke asked.
"Uh Hold on." Sean said using his magic to make two Earth projections which surprised them. "Ok this Earth right here." Sean pointing at the left. "This is the Earth we're from. The other is the one we're on now which is yours. The Multiverse is basically an unlimited number of universes. Some have only minor differences between each others. Others are more drastic like this one." Sean said looking around.
"Exactly. Each one is different from each other but some have similarities with others depending on the universe in question." Seto said.
"I get it now. Thats why you have Millennium Puzzle like I do. Both are the real deal. Does that mean you also have the other seven?" Yugi asked.
"Yes but we only know about three. The others are lost for the moment." Sean said.
"So how did you get here?" Seto asked.
"Answer: It was Tenzin's son Meelo's fault for screwing up the transportation spell." Sean said annoyed making Tenzin sigh.
"So you have magic in your world too?" Tea asked.
"It's everywhere. Makes life very easy for everyone when any problem can be solved with it." Korra said.
"Is that what you did earlier?" Mokuba asked.
"No that was Bending. Something not as old as Magic but old nonetheless. I'm the only one who can use all four elements of Water, Earth, Fire and Air. I'm known as the Avatar." Korra said.
"Whats the Avatar?" Joey asked.
"The Avatar is meant to keep balance in the world. When the Current one dies he or she is reincarnated in the next nation of the Cycle." Sean said.
"Really?" Seto asked interested.
"Yup. I'm assuming you guys don't have that here." Sean said.
"No. The only thing we do have thats normal to people are Duel monsters." Seto said.
"Duel Monsters?" Sean asked before Seto pulled out his deck showing his cards. "Huh? Differences but similarities." Sean said.
"Meaning what?" Mai asked.
"We don't have Duel monsters but these creatures exist in real life called Ancients." Sean said shocking them.
"You mean the cards are real in your world?" Mokuba asked.
"Yup." Sean said.
"Thats awesome." Mokuba said.
"Does that include this one?" Seto asked showing his Obelisk the Tormentor.
"Oh yeah. This is a God Level Ancient." Sean said.
"God Level?" Seto asked.
"There are four levels of Ancients. The low ranking ones which mostly make life easier for people or just entertain them. The Mid level ones are battle types that protect people from real threats. The High level ones makes rules for people to keep them in line and make life good for the innocent. And Finally there are God Level Ancients like Obelisk." Sean said making Seto grin.
"Is that so? I look forward to seeing these Ancients when we get you back home." Seto said.
"How can you do that?" Tenzin asked.
"My brother is a Genius. He owns the biggest company on this world known as Kaibocorp. He'll get you back in no time." Mokuba said.
"Really? Thanks." Sean said.
"For now though I'll have to extend the time length of the Tournament. I need to make a gateway to get you to your Earth. And by the Time the Tournament the gateway will be opened up." Seto said.
"Tournament?" Korra asked.
"Yeah we play duel monsters for Tournaments like this. Last one was in Duelist Kingdom where Yugi won the King of Games tittle." Joey said.
"Sounds like fun. Might help pass the time." Sean said.
Later
Sean was looking at the City at Kaibacorp's company building.
"Enjoying the sights?" Seto asked walking to him.
"Very. Lot more advanced than back home. Nowhere near this advanced." Sean said.
"And where do you come from back on your Earth?" Seto asked.
"Well, Technically I came from Paradise City. But that was a million years ago before I got put on Ice." Sean said shocking him.
"You were on Ice for a million years?" Seto asked.
"It was to protect me from Bakura. He worked alongside the greatest evil my world had ever faced. Zorc. The Creator of the Shadow Realm." Sean said.
"Why?" Seto asked.
"I can only assume for selfish reasons. Zorc threatened not only Earth but the world of the Ancients to Corrupt them to his side. They had no choice but to destroy the original gateways they used to enter the world. But before that they made a different kind that would prevent Zorc from following." Sean said.
"What kind of Gateway?" Seto asked.
"A living Gateway. People made into Gateways called Guardians. Like me." Sean said.
"I see. So you allow the Ancients to come into your world. Thats actually clever." Seto said.
"True...And I'm half Ancient because of my mother." Sean said.
"Oh yeah? I guess that explains that power of yours." Seto said.
"Partially. It's not as simple as you might think. Heres how it works in my universe. An Ancient is born inside a human when they are born into the world. And when that person dies the Ancient is sent to their world while the person who carried them is sent to the other side. People can carry an Ancient in one of the four categories." Sean said.
"So for every person who lives and dies a new Ancient is born. Thats unique. But how are you half exactly?" Seto asked.
"The Guardians when they died merged with the Ancients inside them. When my mother died however though she didn't realize she was pregnant with me at the time. When she became an Ancient a Human looking one I might add...She was still pregnant with me. It was a complete shock to everyone since that has never happened before. When I was born I was half Human and Half Ancient. Part of where my power comes from. The rest from training." Sean said.
"I see. So kind of Ancient do you hold?" Seto asked.
"Korra and I hold a God Level Ancient inside both of us. We knew that for a long time now. And both of them helped destroy an old enemy of my father's known as Anubis when he completely destroyed Republic City." Sean said.
"Destroyed?" Seto asked.
"And killed over a million people for a sick laugh. Anubis used a man known as Amon who viewed Benders as the source of all evil in our world because of all the pointless wars. So he gave him the power to absorb their bending energy. Only it was a front to revitalize himself. When he was fully revitalized he attacked and destroyed the City." Sean said.
"But clearly failed I'm guessing." Seto said.
"Yeah. And Amon actually had one of the seven Items. The Millennium Eye." Sean said making him frown which he noticed. "Is something wrong?" Sean asked.
"Lets just say I have a bad history with that one after the stunt Pegasus the creator of the game pulled on my brother and me to take away my company. Thankfully Yugi defeated him and helped me gain it back." Seto said.
"I see. I'm rather interested in this game. Sure it'll be popular in my world when we get back." Sean said making him smirk.
"Is that so? Why not learn to play it? After all since the Tournament timeline has been extended you could learn to play the game and have a shot in the tournament." Seto said making him grin.
"I'm always up for a challenge. But lets make this interesting. You have any blank cards?" Sean asked confusing him.
"Yeah why?" Seto asked.
Seto had set him up with hundreds of Blank cards.
"Why do you need Blank cards?" Mokuba asked before they began floating in the air. "Whoa." Mokuba said before they began to glow before images of Ancients appeared on the cards along with Spells and Traps making Seto grin.
'Something tells me the game has just taken a powerful turn once these cards become official.' Seto thought before they floated down into a case.
Thats when Sean however noticed the Case Seto usually has with him seeing it open before seeing one card in particular that caught his attention before taking it.
"Tri Horned Dragon." Sean said looking at it.
"Like it? It's a super Rare card." Mokuba said making Sean grin.
"Mind if I take this?" Sean asked.
"Be my guest." Seto said looking through the new cards. "These cards will be introduced into the system as prototypes. Once the Tournament is over Industrial Illusions will finalize them." Seto said.
"Sure. I'll come by tomorrow. I'm gonna head out to see the others." Sean said leaving.
"How cool is this. A whole new world where Duel monsters are actually real and the good guys." Mokuba said.
"Yes, I look forward to seeing this world. It provides unique and great opportunities. And a City to rebuild in a new image since the old one was destroyed." Seto said.
"Your gonna rebuild Republic City?" Mokuba asked.
"Not Rebuild exactly. Fully tear down for a new and better city. One that will invite people by the millions. After all no one is going to move to a City where millions of people got killed by a monster so the only way to bring people back is to make a new City." Seto said.
"Yeah. That sounds like a Good idea." Mokuba said.
Meanwhile
Sean arrived at Yugi's Grandpa's game shop.
"Yo." Sean said walking in.
"Finally. Was starting to think Kaiba brainwashed ya." Joey said.
"You two have some serious issues." Sean said making most laugh.
"Oh you have no idea." Tristan said.
"So what exactly were you guys doing before coming here?" Yugi asked.
"Well...We were trying to get into the Ancients world which is simple enough. But Meelo the idiot Airbender fucked up the runes we use." Sean said making Tenzin sigh again.
"Runes?" Tea asked.
"Their designed to prevent dark forces from entering. It's a security measure to make sure Zorc can't follow." Sean said as Yami's eyes widened as flashes appeared in his mind.
'Whats wrong?' Yugi asked.
'Something about that name sounds familiar.' Yami said.
"Who's Zorc?" Tea asked.
"The creator of the Shadow realm. He ended the golden years of the Ancients rule a million years ago before I was put on Ice." Sean said shocking them.
"Your a million years old?" Mai asked.
"In number yes. Biologically I'm 18 because I was unfrozen 13 years ago and Korra's parents found me." Sean said.
"Why were you frozen?" Duke asked.
"Because I'm the Last Guardian. I act as a living gateway for the Ancients to enter our world. The old gates were destroyed to prevent Zorc from following." Sean said.
"I get it. So this way he can't follow them and corrupt them." Tea said.
"Yeah. I didn't find out about that until I was 10 when they faked my death to protect me from a group known as the White Lotus who wanted to kill me...Because they fear what they don't understand. No one knew what I was at the time." Sean said.
"Sounds like a group of stuck up jerks if you ask me." Mai said.
"Oh you have no idea. When I came back they were exposed and the whole group was disbanded and the Ancients took their place in keeping order." Sean said as Tenzin looked away not wanting to bring up Zaheer.
"And clearly did a better job I'm guessing." Duke said.
"Ten times better actually. Crime was low in Republic City when they took over."
"Except one person didn't seem to care." Turok said looking at Lin who frowned.
"What does that mean?" Tea asked.
"Tell them." Turok said making her sigh.
"I hated the fact that they got so much praise from people. I worked my butt off to get it from my mother for years and never got one praise. And yet they got it the second they arrived. I wanted them gone and I wasn't thinking straight on my actions." Lin said.
"Turok." Sean warned.
"They should know the kind of cruel person she is." Turok said.
"What did you do?" Yugi asked.
"She fucking crippled him about to kill him." Turok said shocking them all.
"You did what!" Joey yelled.
"I said I wasn't thinking straight." Lin said.
"But you didn't fucking apologize. Not even a half assed one. Your just as bad as Tarrlok." Turok said before she grabbed him.
"You are really starting to piss me off!" Lin yelled.
"ENOUGH!" Sean roared stopping them. "Outside." Sean said dragging his brother out.
"Yikes. And I thought Kaiba was strict." Joey said.
Sean shoved Turok outside.
"Look I get it. You're pissed at her for what happened. We all are. But there is such a thing as taking it too far." Sean said.
"No too far would be flat out killing her." Turok said.
"Look Turok. You need to control your anger. Eventually you're gonna do something over the line and regret it. Just let it go. I think she partially redeemed herself for sacrificing herself to try and save Tenzin and his family. Only reason she doesn't have her bending back yet is because My mother still holds a grudge but knows how to control herself." Sean said leading him back inside as Lin left.
"That was kinda Harsh Turok." Jinora said.
"I don't care." Turok said looking at one of the games.
"Little protective brothers. What are ya gonna do?" Sean asked them.
"Hmph." Joey said.
Turok however held one of the packs before opening it before holding some cards in hand with a grin.
"Interested in the game are we?" Yugi's Grandpa Solomon Muto asked making him chuckle.
"Yeah. Looks like fun." Turok said before holding up one of the cards. "Sword Hunter. This is my favorite back home." Turok said.
"You seem like you prefer the Warrior types." Solomon said.
"I'm a Sentinel. I can summon three types of Ancients back home. Warriors, Beasts and Beast-Warriors. There were other Sentinels back in the day that could summon more than one. It all depended on their personality I suppose you could say. Since I'm always ready for a fight I got those three." Turok said.
"And clearly have a temper." Solomon said making him nod. "I understand why you have issues with Lin but ask yourself. Is hating her forever really gonna solve anything?" Solomon asked making him sigh.
"No." Turok said.
"So Kaiba wants you to enter the Tournament?" Yugi asked.
"I'm always up for a challenge. And." Sean said pulling out some of the cards he made showing one with Exodia shocking them. "I made my own cards based on home." Sean said.
Authors Note: I told you I had something special planned. So Sean and the others are in another Universe where the Ancients are a card game. And this is where the Harem will begin.
