Chapter 16 Practice duels
It's been a few days since Sean and the others arrived in this new universe where the Ancients didn't exist physically but rather were a card game here.
Right now Kaiba was getting a gateway prepared go get them back home and to see their world himself.
As for Sean and the others they were adjusting to this new world and its rules and technology which was more advanced than back home.
Sean right now was in the duel training room practicing against the Duel robot to further advance his own skills.
Thats when Seto walked into the viewing room.
"Hows it going so far?" Seto asked.
"Pretty good actually. Sean lost the first few times adjusting to the rules. Now he's not losing anymore. Most duels he keeps winning using the Tri Horned Dragon." Mokuba said.
"So he already has his personal favorite card. What about these Ancients he made into cards?" Seto asked.
"He's used a large number of them so far. A few God Level ones and high level ones. Even Egyptian God versions." Mokuba said.
"Does that include the Winged Dragon of Ra?" Seto asked.
"Not yet. But maybe eventually he will." Mokuba said before Sean won his duel again.
Sighing Sean decided to end the session for today before Turok walked in.
"Whats the matter? Exhausted already?" Turok teased making him snort.
"Very Funny. Ah once you get used to these computers it gets boring. I need a real challenge." Sean said.
"Thinking about testing your skills against someone else?" Seto asked walking in.
"Partially. If I'm gonna enter this tournament I need to face an actual duelist to test real skills. Machines are predictable now that I understand them." Sean said.
"True enough. If thats the case." Seto said preparing his Duel disk. "Lets see what you can do." Seto said making him grin.
"What about me? I want to enter this thing." Turok said.
"You got a deck set up?" Sean asked.
"Yeah I just set it up completely last night." Turok said pulling it out before Seto took it to examine it before raising an eyebrow.
"Turok you mind explaining what you're trying to pull. Theres nothing but Monsters in the categories you summon and turn into." Seto said.
"Yeah so? All I gotta do is cast a spell on them to make them stronger." Turok said making him scoff in amusement.
"Thats not how it works in the game." Seto said confusing him.
"What do you mean?" Turok asked.
"Turok you need to use spell and trap cards in the game. People don't actually use magic here dumbass." Sean said.
"Oh." Turok said seeing the flaw.
"Let me add some into this and it should be balanced out." Seto said taking the deck.
"Yeah sure." Turok said as Sean followed him.
"Honestly, he better not turn into an amateur like Wheeler." Seto said putting the deck into the machine to add magic and trap cards that would suit him.
"Oh please. Joey ain't no amateur. Amateurs don't get this far on their own. Dueling three skilled people and winning proves that." Sean said.
"Partially unless the others bailed him out." Seto said.
"We'll just see in the finals how he holds his own." Sean said.
"So you mind explaining what his issues are with Lin?" Seto asked making him sigh.
"A simple answer would be she fucking crippled me." Sean said making him narrow his eyes.
"Excuse me?" Seto asked.
"Exactly as I said. She crippled me and tried to kill me because she hated the Ancients at the time because they got so much praise. She became a cop to get her mother's attention but it didn't work which pissed her off. Then seeing them get in in seconds pissed her off more and wanted them gone." Sean said.
"So she tried to kill you?" Seto asked.
"Yeah but failed. Reznov nearly killed her as did he. She's somewhat changed since then...But hasn't given a fucking apology." Sean said.
"People like that don't give those." Seto said.
"Now theres something we both can agree on." Sean said before the machine finalized the deck.
"This should help him out. I'll set up some last rounds by morning. See what you both can do." Seto said.
"Right. I'll come back later for some real duels later. I'm meeting the others at some place else." Sean said.
Later
"Turok, I told you not to skip out on the trap and spell cards." Joey said.
"I'm not used to this game yet. You lot have been playing this for years." Turok said as they were at the Arcade.
"He's got a point." Yugi said before Yami took over. They already knew about the spirit of the puzzle. It was kinda awkward for him and Sean to be around each other after finding out his double was Sean's father before things settled down.
"Turok, you had to know they were there for a reason." Yami said.
"I just assumed you guys used magic in the game. I didn't think you had to use the cards for actual spells and what not. Everything in this world is so confusing." Turok said.
"Change is not an easy thing to accept." Sean said leaning on the wall next to Tea and Korra.
"So Kaiba is gonna have you two duel some left overs who still have locator cards?" Joey asked.
"Said theres more than enough for both of us." Sean said.
"Well if your gonna be in the finals hon you need some different clothes." Mai said.
"Huh? Whats wrong with this?" Sean asked looking at his robes.
"Makes you stand out like a sore thumb. Clearly shows your not from around here. You need to blend in." Mai said.
"She's got a point." Korra said.
"Oh fucking hell. I am not gonna like this." Sean said making them laugh.
"Relax. We'll make sure you get something that suits you." Tea said.
Later
"Suit you or try to upstage me?" Seto asked amused making Sean groan as he was dressed in black clothing. (Picture's Zane's dark look)
"I hate shopping. No matter what universe it always sucks." Sean said making Mokuba chuckle.
"I think it looks good." Mokuba said.
"Whatever. Lets get this dueling over with." Sean said.
Later
Sean sighed as he fell on his back from his tenth defeat from Seto.
"Jeez. No wonder you're up on the top." Sean said making him smirk.
"And once this Tournament is over I will be at the top again. And with Cards like the ones you've made nothing will stand in my way." Seto said.
"I'm not much for titles nor power to be honest. Never suited me." Sean said.
"I can easily tell. You prefer the simple things in life." Seto said.
"Mostly." Sean said.
"So the last amount of duelists with Locator cards will be here tomorrow. Both you and Turok will have a shot in getting into the finals." Seto said.
"Anyone I should be on guard around?" Sean asked.
"That all depends on your point of view." Seto said.
Next day
"Man look at all these people." Joey said seeing less than a dozen duelists.
"These are all thats left?" Yugi asked.
"Most have either lost their duels and rarest cards." Mai said.
"Yugi I thought I saw you."
"Oh no." Joey said annoyed seeing Weevil Underwood with his usual smug look.
"I'll be seeing you in the finals. I guarantee it." Weevil said.
"What are ya talking about? I took away your rarest card and your locator cards." Joey said.
"I had an extra." Weevil said showing five Locator cards.
"Liar." Sean said shocking him. "You didn't win those you stole them." Sean said making him widen his eyes in shock.
"Why you slimy no good cockroach." Joey said ticked off.
"How mean." Serenity said.
"This world is full of people like him." Turok said next to her making her smile while Jinora seeing this frowned.
"Since you're the new guy I'll duel you." Weevil said sneering at him.
"Fine." Sean said.
"Whoa wait a minute Sean. This guy fights dirty." Joey warned.
"I know. I've read the guy's file. Lets get this over with." Sean said as everyone cleared out.
Seto and Mokuba watched all this from the sides.
"Seto? Shouldn't we disqualify him. If he did steal those then he shouldn't be here." Mokuba said.
"Under normal circumstances I would agree. But something tells me it wouldn't even matter." Seto said.
"Lets duel." Both said as both life points went to 4000.
"Since I'm not the rookie I'll go first." Weevil said drawing his cards before snickering. "I summon my Leghul in attack mode." Weevil said playing his monster

"And then I'll place two cards face down." Weevil said snickering.
"Whatever." Sean said drawing his cards and grinned.
"What are you grinning about Three eyes?" Weevil demanded.
"I've already won. I play Heavy storm which destroys all your face down cards." Sean said destroying them much to his shock. "Then I play Lord of Dragons in attack mode." Sean said as the Lord of Dragons appeared.

"Then I play this Flute of Summoning dragon. Which allows me to play two dragon type monsters from my hand when Lord of Dragons is on the field. And I play Tri Horned Dragon and Serpent Night Dragon." Sean said summoning both dragons who roared loudly in the air.

Weevil screamed in fear before Lord of Dragons destroyed his insect.
"Now that your defenseless both my monsters can take you down in one turn." Sean said as Weevil screamed as he was defeated so easily.
"That didn't just happen." Weevil said on his knees in disbelief he got defeated by a rookie in one move.
Everyone else cheered.
"Not bad." Seto said before Turok also won against some movie star in a few short turns winning five locator cards.
"Wow that was fast." Mokuba said.
"Nice work both of you." Mai said impressed before Weevil tried to punch Sean but he didn't even look phased.
"YOU CHEATED! I DEMAND A REMATCH!" Weevil roared.
"Who's the real cheater? The guy who lies and cheats at everything or the guy who had a good hand by chance?" Sean asked making him growl as people started mocking him much to his rage.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS KRUGER! MARK MY WORDS!" Weevil roared running off.
"That was the easiest win I've ever seen. You made Weevil look like a joke." Joey said amazed.
"Then you two have something in common." Seto said.
"KEEP TALKING KAIBA!" Joey yelled annoyed.
"Knock it off." Sean said.
"Now that both of you have the six locator cards you have a seat in the finals. I'll see you all tomorrow." Seto said leaving with Mokuba.
"Hmm." Sean said looking at his deck looking at his Tri Horned Dragon.
"Your favorite right?" Joey asked.
"Yup." Sean said. "You got one?" Sean asked.
"Yeah but Yugi has it for good luck. My Red Eyes black Dragon. His is the Dark Magician and Kaiba's is the Blue Eyes." Joey said.
"Hmph. I see." Sean said.
Later
"Remind me again why are we here?" Sean asked as he, Yami and Tea were at the Museum.
"You said some of your memories were blocked. Theres something here that might help you remember your past." Tea said.
"She may be right. Both our worlds have similarities. Theres a tablet here that might help you remember some of your past." Yami said.
"If you say so." Sean said as they went in.
Walking further into the Museum they went to the basement.
"Uh should we be down here?" Sean asked.
"We've been here before. Theres something you must see." Yami said as they arrived at some tablet. On the Tablet was Yami and Seto's past life.
"Does this look familiar to you?" Tea asked.
"No. I recognize Seto though. I knew his doubleganger Personally back in the day. He was a Guardian like me." Sean said.
"He was?" Tea asked.
"Oh yeah. For every universe they have similarities..." Sean trailed off.
"And differences." Ishizu said gaining their attention before Sean saw she had the Millennium necklace.
"Ishizu." Tea said.
"I have been expecting you Kruger." Ishizu said.
"I can see how." Sean said looking at the necklace.
"If you'll give us a moment." Ishizu said as the two walked away.
"So you knew we would arrive in this universe." Sean said.
"Indeed. I told Seto Kaiba before the finals others from another world would arrive. At first he didn't believe me till you showed up." Ishizu said.
"Your the one who told him about the Egyptian Gods. Why? What are you really up to?" Sean asked.
"I knew if I told Kaiba about the cards he would throw a tournament out of greed. But the real purpose of this tournament is to save my brother Marik from his own evil." Ishizu said.
"Who's Marik?" Sean asked.
"The leader of the Rare hunters and my brother. My family has been keepers of the Pharaoh' tomb for 5000 years. Until my brother broke his oath due to certain events. He always resented the fact he was forced to become a Tomb keeper against his will because of our father. As someone who has a younger sibling yourself I know you can understand why I did this." Ishizu said making him nod.
"Yeah. So you want to help Marik before he goes too far." Sean said.
"Yes. I ask for your help to achieve this. My necklace can predict many things but the future is clouded around you and Marik." Ishizu said.
"Ok. I'll do what I can...But understand some people cannot be saved...Because they don't want to be saved." Sean said.
"I know. But I have faith you can accomplish this." Ishizu said leaving.
"Hmm." Sean said leaving.
After that was over They went their separate ways.
As Tea was walking home however she felt she was being followed before looking around.
"Ok this isn't funny." Tea said before she got grabbed by Rare Hunters shocking her.
"Your gonna tell us everything about Kruger and his friends or else..."
"Or else what?" Sean asked shocking them all as his puzzle glowed. "Unless you want a one way trip to the Shadow realm I suggest you beat it." Sean said before they ran off before he rushed to Tea. "You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. Thanks. How did you know they were coming for me?" Tea asked.
"I noticed them when we left the Museum so I followed to be on the safe side. They won't come by again." Sean said making her smile.
"Thanks. It was sweet you were making sure I was ok." Tea said.
"It's my job. I'll see ya tomorrow." Sean said walking off making her smile.
Meanwhile
"YOU FAILED!?" Mairk roared.
"It wasn't our fault. Kruger was there and threatened to send us to the Shadow Realm. He even had an exact replica of the Puzzle." One of his minions said.
"Replica?" Marik asked before looking at a photo seeing him with it.
'That is too well detailed to be a fake. Something is going on and I want to know what. Those powers and abilities they have. And why he has an exact duplicate of the puzzle.' Marik thought.
Later
Sean sighed as he entered the hotel room Seto had rented out for him and Korra as the others had their own.
"What kept you?" Korra asked in her bra and panties.
"Those Rare Hunters went after Tea so I tailed her until I was sure she was safe." Sean said making her smile as she kissed him.
"Your sweet. Let's get to bed. I can't wait for the finals." Korra said as they got in bed and fell asleep.
Meanwhile
Seto was going over some of the new cards Sean made.
"It's incredible. A whole new world where Duel monsters are actually real and keep people in line from all the problems that others make here. And an opportunity to tear down an abandoned City to remake a new and better one. Not only will this increase my company's reputation and the amount of money it makes 10 times over but it could also help my company in other projects I have planed like KaibaLand. The Possibilities are endless." Seto said.
Thats when he came to Three specific Cards that caught his attention.
"The Sacred beasts. Uria, Hamon and Raviel. They look like duplicates of the Egyptian God Cards. And they are god class Ancients. I look forward to seeing them in a duel." Seto said.
Authors Note: And with that the Finals begin next Chapter and I have special plans for all of you. The Finals begin next Chapter. And now Tea has begun growing some feelings for Sean which will soon lead to the Harem. The harem is Final. Korra, Tea and Ishizu. I already have Asami set up with someone some of you can probably guess. Mai...I think we know who deserves her here. Oh and another thing The pole will remain up till the end of this story.
