Chapter 19 Awakening Evil

Everyone was once more in the meeting room.

"Welp here we go again." Sean said as the balls came out.

"Wonder who's next?" Korra asked.

"Hell if I know." Sean said.

"The First Duelist is...Number 4 Joey Wheeler." Roland said.

"Awesome!" Serenity cheered.

"It's time to kick some major butt." Joey said.

"This should be fun." Turok said as the next ball came out.

"And the second Duelist is...Number 9 Marik Ishtar." Roland said making everyone look at Odion since he was still believed to be Marik.

"It's go time." Joey said ready.

"Hmm." Sean said looking at Odion.

"This is the chance to see his Egyptian God Card." Seto said.

"Yeah." Sean said.

Everyone soon arrived at the sky deck to see Joey and Marik duel.

Thats when Marik and Joey started shuffling the other's decks.

When Odion was done however though...Joey was still shuffling while glaring at him.

"Oh brother." Sean said.

"Will you get on with it already!" Turok yelled making him yelp in surprise.

"Don't do that." Joey said before handing Odion's deck back before taking his own.

"You know since Marik is the leader of the Rare Hunters he must have a ton of Rare Cards in his deck." Mokuba said.

"Maybe but theres only one thats of concern." Sean said.

"The Winged Dragon of Ra. And Soon it will be in my deck." Seto said.

"Hmm." Sean said as the Duel began.

Thats when Joey's cards flew out of his hands shocking the others before he caught them all.

"Dude! Try holding onto them!" Turok said annoyed.

"Oh brother." Sean said.

"You guys, he needs support. Nice catch, big brother!" Serenity said making Turok chuckle.

"Serenity, no offense but your brother is a major league dummy." Turok said.

"Maybe just a little." Serenity said making him smirk while Jinora frowned at them.

"There it is again." Sean said.

"What?" Seto asked.

"Jinora is glaring at Serenity. I don't know why though." Sean said.

"Maybe she just doesn't like her." Mokuba said.

"No way. Theres something else going on." Sean said.

"Focus on that for later." Seto said.

"Now, then, where was I?" Joey asked.

"Acting like a fool." Odion said making him growl.

"Thats enough out of you, Marik. I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight." Joey said summoning one of his best monsters.

"Now lets see what you've got, tough guy." Joey said as Odion drew his card. "I'm waiting." Joey said.

"I'll play temple of the Kings A card like none you've ever seen!" Odion said as a temple appeared behind him.

"Hmm?" Sean asked looking at it.

"Something familiar about this?" Seto asked.

"I don't know. Remember most of my memories are blocked." Sean said.

"Whats going on? Whats that building Marik?" Joey asked.

"The Structure behind me is the ancient temple of the Kings. Within this 5,000 year old sanctuary lie the greatest treasures of Egypt." Odion said.

"And what does that big shack do?" Joey asked.

"To Protect the King's treasure, It limits the number of magic and trap cards you can play in one turn." Odion said.

"Aw, Man." Joey said.

"So now he can't play as many cards as before." Tenzin said.

"And in front of the temple, I'll lay two cards facedown as an extra boundary of protection." Odion said as they appeared. "And with this move I end my turn." Odion said.

"Thats odd. He didn't summon one monster." Sean said.

"Maybe he didn't have any and just has a trap waiting for him." Asami said.

"I don't think so. I think he's up to something." Korra said.

"Only one way to find out." Sean said.

'I can't let him smell my fear.' Joey thought.

"Everything all right, Joey?" Serenity asked.

"You look pretty scared, dude." Tristan said making him sweat drop.

'Thats what I was afraid of. Ok, if I'm gonna beat this guy, I gotta pull myself together.' Joey said looking at his card before looking at one in particular. 'What am I worried about? That two-bit temple's got nothing on my Giant Trunade! Once I build up an larger attack force I'll just use it to blow away all his face down cards and knock him out of the Tournament.' Joey said.

"Whats the Delay? Don't you realize that no matter what you do, You're finished, Mr. Wheeler. So make your move." Odion said.

"Just zip it." Joey said drawing his next Card. "I summon Tiny Guardian in Attack mode." Joey said as it appeared.

"I see what he's doing. He's building up an attack force to knock him out. Probably even has a card to blow away all those trap cards." Sean said.

"I doubt its gonna work. Marik's not so easily defeated. Especially not by some second rate duelist like Wheeler." Seto said.

"Only one way to find out." Asami said.

"I place two more cards on the field, That ends my turn." Odion said.

"Again?" Korra asked.

"He's up to something." Sean said.

"That spineless snake is just gonna sit back and wait for Joey to attack him." Mai said.

"And when he does he'll spring his traps." Turok said.

"It's the oldest and wimpiest trick in the book." Mai said.

"Old perhaps but it may be effective depending on whats on the field." Tenzin said.

"True." Yugi said as Joey drew his card.

"All right Cueball, Take this! I summon Hayabusa knight!" Joey said summoning his third monster.

"Go Giant Trunade." Joey said as a twister appeared on the field.'

"So he did have a card to get rid of those cards." Korra said grinning.

"Lets just see if it works." Sean said.

"Come on." Joey said as it neared his cards before it stopped. "WHAT! Why'd it stop? Your cards should be history!" Joey said in disbelief.

"I knew it. He has something on the field that saved himself." Seto said.

"And I'll bet he deliberately didn't play any monsters to put Joey in a false sense of Security. One of those cards is about to bite him." Asami said.

"Yes. Marik's no fool. He wouldn't leave himself out so vulnerable unless he had a plan." Seto said.

"Your Giant Trunade is no more. And your troubles have only just begun." Odion said.

"I don't get what just happened to my magic card. It was supposed to get rid of every card you had on the field." Joey said.

"Thats what I wanna know." Sean said with Korra next to him.

"When you made the very foolish decision to activate your giant Trunade, Mr. Wheeler, You in turn trigged one of the most dangerous traps I've placed on the field to protect myself." Odion said.

"Is that so?" Joey asked.

"Yes. And Now it's time for you to pay the price for your mistake. You see, with all of my trap cards in play, I knew you wouldn't attack me with a monster. You'd try to destroy my traps with a magic card." Odion said.

"Oh. So you played a trap card that destroys magic cards?" Joey asked.

"But thats not all it does. The trap you've just triggered is about to devastate all of your monsters and an extremely large portion of your life points. So prepare to feel its wrath right now. Go, Judgment of Anubis!" Odion yelled as his Trap card was revealed and covered the field in a purple mist. "Never have you experienced a trap with a destructive force such as this!" Odion said.

"Oh boy." Korra said.

"This is not gonna go good for him." Sean said.

"Judgment of Anubis will now Annihilate Every monster you have on the field. And Deduct half of their attack points from your life points." Odion said shocking him as his monsters were destroyed and Joey lost some serious life points.

"Man he just lost 2100 life points in one move." Mako said.

"Marik played him from the start." Turok said.

Sean narrowed his eyes on the Duel.

"What is it?" Korra asked.

"Something feels off. I would expect Marik to be laughing his ass off like the insane Lunatic Yugi and the others described. And yet..." Sean said.

"He's being very calm and collective." Seto said.

"Yeah. Something isn't right." Sean said.

"Marik is tough, But you still think Joey can win, right guys?" Serenity asked.

"It all depends on him but I got faith your brother can pull through." Turok said making her smile while Jinora glared again.

'There it is again. What is her problem?' Sean asked.

"I got you good. You may not realize this because your ponytail's tied too tight, but I fell into your little trap on purpose, Marik." Joey said.

"Oh my good lord." Sean said shaking his head.

"He's joking right?" Korra asked disturbed by that.

"No he is a joke." Seto said.

"On this one subject I actually agree." Sean said.

"I was just testing you to see if your dueling skills were any better than your sense of style, and it looks like you passed my exam. Now I'll kick my game up a notch and open up a big tub of duel whip all over you." Joey said.

"Oh my fucking god. That is just the most pathetic thing I have ever heard." Turok said.

"I knew it. Joey had this planned the whole time." Serenity said.

'Will someone please buy this girl a clue?' Tea and Jinora asked with the last one annoyed.

"I don't think Marik's buying his story." Mokuba said with a sweat drop on his head.

"Oh ya think?" Sean asked sarcastically. "That was the most pathetic Thing I've ever heard since Tahno threatened to kill me when I exposed him and his team as cheating bastards." Sean said.

"I'll bet." Seto said.

"But you gotta give Joey credit for staying strong and never giving up." Mokuba said.

"The only thing I give wheeler credit for is being all talk." Seto said.

"In this yeah." Sean said.

"Enough standing around. Let's finish this duel." Joey said.

"You're in quite a rush to lose." Odion said drawing his card. "Now watch as I place two more cards facedown." Odion said.

"Again?" Joey asked.

"That ends my turn." Odion said.

"I'm getting really tired of this. You know they call it duel monsters Cause you're supposed to fight your opponent with monster cards." Joey said.

"If you can find me the rule that forbids me from playing trap cards, I'll stop, Mr. Wheeler." Odion said.

"He's baiting him again." Korra said.

"Not surprising. Wheeler is easy to provoke." Seto said.

"Is that why you always insult him most of the time?" Sean asked making him smirk.

"I summon Alligator sword in attack mode." Joey said playing his monster.

"Ok. What the hell is with her?" Korra asked.

"You know what I think I might actually know what the problem is. I can't believe I didn't think of this." Sean said.

"I'm gonna let you off easy, Marik, By holding back my attack and playing this card face down. Back to you Baldy." Joey said.

"Smart move. He knows he can't afford anymore screw ups." Asami said.

"Maybe but eventually he's gonna have to make a move against him and he could lose everything." Sean said.

"If he plays this smart that won't happen." Korra said.

"Lets go." Joey said.

"Actually, I choose to end my turn without making any move." Odion said.

'What! He's skipping his turn? He's trying to force me to attack him.' Joey said.

"Two can play at that game, so I pass, also." Joey said drawing a card ending his turn.

"Perhaps now I'll draw a card worth using." Odion said drawing his card. "No this won't do. I pass again." Odion said making Joey growl.

"Ok now this is just getting annoying. Theres gotta be some rule against this." Korra said.

"Sadly no." Sean said.

"If this keeps up this is gonna be a long duel and boring too." Mokuba said.

"I wouldn't worry too much. Knowing Wheeler's amateur style He'll crack long before Marik does." Seto said.

"You asked for it!" Joey said.

"Oh, no." Yugi said.

"Hey, come on, Joey. Don't attack. Thats exactly what he wants you to do." Mai said.

"Hold up." Sean said.

"Your not gonna know what hit ya. I summon Rocket Warrior in attack mode." Joey said summoning his monster

"You asked for it! I don't care how many traps cards you got on the field cause I didn't come to the finals to watch. I fought my way here to duel like a man and to win this, Marik. Now, Rocket Warrior, Attack his life points directly!" Joey said as his monster transformed into a rocket to attack.

"Joey, this is a big mistake!" Yugi warned.

"Activate trap card. Eye of Ujat." Odion said as it flipped up and the same symbol appeared on Rocket Warrior. "Now that the eye of Ujat appears on the front of your Rocket warrior, It is under my control, And I shall redirect its attack toward one of your monsters." Odion said.

"No way!" Joey yelled.

"Rocket warrior, Attack his alligator's sword." Odion ordered.

"Both monsters are just gonna destroy themselves." Korra said.

"Thats the point." Sean said.

"I don't think that's gonna work! Activate fairy box!" Joey said as his face down flipped up before some box with holes appeared before the Alligator Sword went in.

"Whats this?" Odion asked.

"Oh I think I get it. It's like that Whack a mole game at the Arcade." Bolin said.

"Sorta." Mai said.

"Thanks to Fairy Box. Rocket warrior's plan of attack has been short-circuited. Time to play Peek-A-Boo." Joey said.

"Rocket Warrior, attack at Once!" Odion ordered as the attack hit the box. "So much for that." Odion said as Rocket Warrior came out as did Alligator Sword. "I missed?" Odion asked.

"Nyah Nyah! I guess you haven't hung out in the Arcade for a while. I'm on to your little game, Marik, I found out the weakness of your Trap strategy." Joey said confusing most.

"Whats he on about now?" Sean asked.

"You don't even have one single Monster card, Just a deck overloaded with Trap cards, Marik. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket you egg head." Joey said.

"Insult all you like you've already fallen into another of my traps." Odion said.

"What?" Joey asked.

"Oh boy." Sean said.

"You see while I may be short I on monsters, I posses a card that is both a Trap and a Monster." Odion said.

"I think the barber clipped some of your brain when he gave you that haircut." Joey said.

"Is there such a card?" Korra asked.

"Maybe. There are a large Variety of cards here. Anything is possible." Seto said.

"Go Embodiment Of Apophis" Odion said as three of his traps revealed themselves as these cards.

"You can't possibly hope to stop my beasts." Odion said.

"We'll see about that. I put my Alligator in defense mode and place this face down." Joey said making his move.

"This doesn't look good." Jinora said.

"No kidding. Those things back home are a lot stronger than they are here. Not to mention he's got three of them in one go." Turok said.

"My brother can get through this though right?" Serenity asked.

"That all depends on him. If he can draw the right cards he might be able to turn this around." Turok said.

"Now My Embodiments of Apophis attack his monsters." Odion ordered.

"Not so fast. Go Scapegoats." Joey said as his scapegoats appeared from his magic card. "Thanks to these guys my lifepoints are safe.

"Are they?" Odion asked concerning him. "Go Magic Jammer." Odion said revealing his final Trap card. "By Discarding one card from my hand I can negate your spell card." Odion said as his card vanished shocking Joey. "Now where was I? Ah yes. Your demise." Odion said as Odion destroyed both monsters and attacked him directly leaving him with only 200 life points.

"Joey!" Serenity yelled as he fell to his knees.

Joey groaned as he looked at the field.

"I'd suggest forfeiting to avoid humiliation." Odion said.

"Is that how you're gonna let your sister see ya?" Sean asked stopping Joey. "You did all this just so she could watch you duel and you're gonna back down?" Sean questioned.

"Just because things look bad doesn't mean it's hopeless. We didn't give up when we fought Anubis and neither should you. At the very least you can go out fighting." Korra said making him narrow his eyes before nodding standing up.

"I ain't going out giving up you freak." Joey said.

'Hmph! Those fools don't know what they're talking about. It is hopeless.' Marik thought.

"It seems you're more foolish than I thought. Time for you to lose shamefully. So make your final pathetic Move." Odion said.

Thats when Yami took control.

"Save the world." Yami said.

"Hmm." Sean said looking at Odion again.

"What is it?" Asami asked.

"I keep getting this nagging feeling something ain't right." Sean said.

"When it comes to Marik I don't blame you." Seto said.

"Whatever it is we'll be ready." Korra said.

"I should hope so." Sean said.

"I place two cards face down. And then I summon swordsman of Landstar in defense mode." Joey said as he appeared.

'His determination is indeed surprising. How could he retaliate with only 200 life points?' Odion asked.

'What are you waiting for you incompetent Buffon? Finish him off' Marik said through his Millennium Rod.

"I hope you've enjoyed your brief experience as a battle city Finalist. And now, My embodiments of Apophis, triple attack!" Odion ordered.

"This is it." Korra said.

"Not so fast. Time to skin your snakes. Revel magic card." Joey said as one of his face downs was revealed.

"Foolish burial?" Seto asked.

"The hell does that do?" Asami asked.

"Your about to find out." Seto said.

"My Foolish Burial magic card lets me pick a card from my hand and place it in your graveyard. And then I activate Grave robber." Joey said as his Grave Robber appeared and laughed. (This is one of my favorite cards)

"Now you plan to rob my graveyard?" Odion questioned.

"Wow? Did you guess that on your own or did someone hand you a cheat sheet? Yes, Einstein, I'm gonna rob your graveyard!" Joey said as a card appeared on in his grave robber's hands. "And its the same card I just put in there. Now take a look at this. Reveal Jinzo!" Joey said.

"What!" Sean yelled as Jinzo appeared on the field.

"Let me guess in the Ancients world he's one of the strongest isn't he." Seto said.

"Oh yeah. One of the high level ones." Sean said.

"Oh no." Odion said.

"I remembered your snake creatures are a special breed of monsters that also happen to be trap cards. Your slimy reptiles have all the strengths of trap cards, but they also have the same weaknesses too." Joey said.

"Weaknesses?" Odion asked.

"Jinzo destroys all trap cards on the field. Jinzo, wipe out his serpents!" Joey said as Jinzo blasted all three of them to nothing.

"Way to go Joey!" Tristan cheered.

"You know I won Jinzo in my very first Battle City Duel against a real opponent." Joey said.

"Looks like this duel is still on. Perhaps I'll get the chance to see Ra after all." Seto said.

"Only one way to find out." Sean said.

"Now, then, do you still think I'm an Amateur or did ya learn your lesson?" Joey asked.

"I'm not through with you yet, Mr. Wheeler." Odion said.

"Things are getting interesting." Turok said.

"I knew my brother would come around." Serenity said.

"I still have all my life points." Odion said.

"Not for long. See, with my man Jinzo on my side, You and your trap cards are ancient history." Joey said.

"Here we go, Look out." Joey said drawing his next card. "Check it out, Bald wonder. I summon Battle Warrior in Attack mode." Joey said summoning his monster.

"And then I switch my swordsman of landstar in attack mode." Joey said switching his monster to attack mode.

"With this attack he'll lose most of his life points." Mako said.

"Now Jinzo attack his life points." Joey said as Jinzo blasted Odion who growled before the other two attacked him making him lose 3600 life points.

"Now he's almost finished. One more attack and he's done." Lin said.

"Don't feel so tough now do ya, Marik?" Joey questioned.

"Attack me all you want. You can't win. Remember I still possess my temple of the Kings card, A card that has ancient powers so strong, It can't be stopped." Odion said.

"Your palace doesn't scare me. I think I've already proven That Joey wheeler doesn't sit back and let people walk all over him." Joey said.

"True enough." Sean said.

"So go ahead and make your move." Joey said.

"With great pleasure foolish boy." Odion said drawing his card.

'Listen to me, Odion! You've allowed Joey Wheeler to come too far. Now destroy him at once or face severe consequences.' Marik said through the Rod again.

'Not to worry, master. I already have a plan to render his monsters useless.' Odion said.

"Lets go Potato head." Joey said getting impatient. "Whats the hold up?"

"This should hold you up. I play swords of revealing light." Odion said as swords appeared freezing Joey's monsters.

"Not this again." Turok said remembering his duel with Yami.

"Now he can't attack for three turns." Mai said.

"Thats true but Joey can still sacrifice his weaker monsters for stronger ones. And Jinzo's special effect is still in place. Meaning he can't use traps cards." Yami said.

"Make your move." Odion said.

"Gladly." Joey said drawing his next card. "I may not be able to to attack but I can still do this. I sacrifice my Battle Warrior to summon the Legendary Fisherman." Joey said as his Battle Warrior vanished before his new monster appeared.

"Heh." Sean said seeing mid level Ancient.

"Another High level one?" Seto asked.

"Mid level actually." Korra said.

"And then I put all my other monsters in defense mode." Joey said ending his turn.

"Prepare to lose." Odion said drawing his next card and panicked.

'Whats this!?' Odion asked shocked.

'Why do you seem so shocked, Odion? If your posing as me, you should have my God Card in your deck, Right? Thats why I slipped it in before the Duel.' Marik said.

'But, Master, This card is too dangerous. And I'm not meant to control it's great power. You can't possibly expect me to play this. Please reconsider, I beg of you.' Odion said looking at Marik.

'Stop whimpering, you sound pitiful. I command you to play that card.' Marik said.

"Hmm." Sean said looking at Odion seeing the shocked look on his face. "Now what?" Sean asked.

"What is it?" Asami asked.

"Whatever he just drew shocked the hell out of him. Why is that?" Sean asked.

"Perhaps he just drew the Winged Dragon of Ra." Seto said grinning.

"If so why is he so afraid? He should be grinning like the mad man he is. Instead he's afraid. Why?" Sean asked making Seto narrow his eyes on that seeing the logic in it.

"Hey, Marik, I'm getting tired of waiting around." Joey said.

"First I'll place this card face dow on the field. Now Prepare yourself, Mr. Wheeler, For the next Card I play will be the final instrument of your destruction. I play this card in temple of the Kings." Odion said placing it in.

"That must be the Third Egyptian God Card." Seto said.

"Hundreds bucks says so." Sean said.

"Whatever it is was enough to put him on edge." Korra said.

"Here I go! I play monster Reborn to bring back my Alligator Sword and sacrifice him and my Landstar to summon my Insect Queen." Joey said as she appeared screeching.

"Another high level one." Sean said impressed.

"My tournament's done wonders for Wheeler's deck." Seto said grinning.

"All those from this tournament alone? Oh yeah. I'd say he's got this duel in the bag." Korra said.

"Don't be so sure." Sean said.

"Once your next turn ends your swords will be gone and then I'll be free to attack you with either one." Joey said.

"Your wrong. For I am about to summon a monster so powerful it will end this duel in my favor." Odion said playing a card. "Cup of sealed soul." Odion said as it appeared. "Then I play my face down card. Seal of Serket. When both cards are played and Temple of the Kings is on the field It allows me to summon this. Mystical beast of Serket." Odion said as a massive Scorpion like monster appeared roaring at Joey.

"Oh boy. This is a high level Ancient back home." Korra said.

"I can see why." Seto said.

"That monster is nothing compared to whats in the temple." Odion said.

"And whats that?" Joey asked.

"Within the Sacred Arc lies the Winged Dragon of Ra." Odion said making Sean, Seto and Yami narrow their eyes.

"Thats not good." Korra said.

"And now my Beast will attack your Jinzo." Odion said as his monster destroyed Jinzo before he actually started to grow.

"Whats the deal?" Joey asked.

"When my monster destroys another he gains half of their attack points. So his power just increased." Odion said shocking them.

"Thats not good. The more that thing destroys the stronger it gets." Asami said.

"Joey's in a tough spot. Unless somehow he can make his monsters stronger he's not gonna last long." Sean said.

'Master, Marik. Why did you put your God Card in my deck?' Odion asked.

'For one we need to deceive these fools into thinking you are me. Second I never said it was the real Egyptian God Card. That is just a mere copy. My Rare hunters made hundreds. But when testing them there were some difficulties. Eventually I realized that only certain individuals could control such power. Such as you since you know the ancient ways.' Marik said.

'Thank you. But I am confident I can win this duel without it.' Odion said.

The Duel pretty much continued before Joey lost his last two monsters making it more powerful up 5825 attack points.

"Hey played his best. But Marik just did better." Mai said disappointed.

"I'm not sure it's over. Look in his eyes." Turok said making her look seeing the determination in his eyes.

"Your turn." Joey said.

"Your right." Mai said.

"I think Joey can still win this. Something is gonna happen." Sean said.

"Nonsense. Theres nothing in his deck that can pull that off." Seto said.

"Don't be so sure. If theres one thing about life is that it's full of surprises. Both here and our world." Asami said making him look at her.

"Perhaps. But I find it very hard to believe he can win this since he's got nothing left on the field." Seto said.

"We'll just see." Sean said.

"I'm not gonna lose." Joey said gaining everyones attention. "I can't explain how I know. But I got this strange feeling That I'm gonna win this duel. It's kinda like a voice inside my head. So go ahead and take your best shot, Marik." Joey said.

"Oh, I will." Odion said.

"This is it." Tenzin said.

"Say goodbye to the Finals." Odion said.

"Before you make your final attack and try to win this duel, I got something I wanna say to you." Joey said.

"Whats he doing now?" Seto asked.

"I have no idea." Sean said.

"I'll never forget when you controlled my mind and made me fight my best friend. You didn't have the courage to face him yourself. You used others to do your dirty work like a little coward." Joey said.

"Theres something thats truthful." Sean said.

"I'm facing you now, Aren't I?" Odion asked.

"Yeah." Joey said.

"And look at the score. I'm destroying you in a duel Face-to-Face!" Odion said.

"Funny you should mention that. See ever since we started this duel, I've had a weird feeling about you. I can't put my finger on it, But you don't seem like the same guy who controlled my mind. The Marik I know was a slime ball but you? You dueled a really fair duel, And one of the toughest ones I ever fought. Just like I got a voice in my head telling me I'm not gonna lose...It's telling me your not who you say you are. And I'm sure of it." Joey said making Marik growl.

"Nonsense! Wheeler's insane! Of course that Duelist is Marik." Seto said.

"I don't know I think he's actually right. He's not acting like the sick twisted freak who kidnaped Mokuba and the others before we arrived. Not mention he doesn't really seem evil. He feels more calm and collected. I don't think thats really Marik at all. I think thats just someone pretending to be him." Sean said making Seto narrow his eyes.

"He may be right. The best tool in life is deception." Asami said. "Like how my father decieved others thinking he supported the bending Government when he was working with the Equalists." Asami said.

"But if thats not Marik...Then where is he?" Mokuba asked.

"Wait a minute!" Seto said before looking at the Real Marik as did everyone else.

'NO! If I'm exposed my plans are ruined. In addition to Yugi's puzzle and God Card I also need Kaiba's. Obelisk the Tormentor.' Marik said.

"ENOUGH OF THIS!" Odion roared pulling out a Replica of the Rod.

"Only the real Marik holds the Millennium Rod. Think of that before you listen to those senseless voices in your head." Odion said.

"If that is the Rod it must be the real Marik." Korra said.

"I don't think so. I'm not sensing any more from that thing." Sean said.

"It is from another universe so you might not be able to sense that power." Seto said.

"And yet I can feel the power of Yugi's puzzle and Bakura's ring. So thats not true." Sean said.

"Now then, it's time to end this duel." Odion said as his beast was ready to attack.

'WAIT ODION! STOP YOUR ATTACK!' Marik yelled making him stop which shocked everyone.

"Now what?" Sean asked.

"Whats the deal? Why isn't it attacking?" Joey asked.

'I held back my attack as you requested. But why?' Odion asked.

'I want you to destroy Joey with the Winged Dragon of Ra! It's the only way to convince everyone here you are me.' Marik said shocking him.

'But it's too dangerous! Please! Don't make me release the Winged Dragon from the Sacred Ark!' Odion begged.

"Now whats going on?" Korra asked.

"I don't know but something feels off." Sean said.

'If thats really not Marik and this Namu really is then why does whoever this really is hold the Winged Dragon of Ra?' Seto asked.

"Alright, Mr. Wheeler. Prepare to experience an ancient power That only an Ancient God could Rival." Odion said shocking them all. "I am Marik. And I will now play my Egyptian God Card to Prove it." Odion said.

"Oh no." Turok said alarmed.

"This isn't good." Jinora said.

"Now in order to release my Egyptian God monster from the Ark. I must sacrifice my Mystical beast of Serket first." Odion said as his monster vanished. "And then I must sacrifice half my life points." Odion said.

"Here it comes." Korra said.

"Come forth my winged Dragon and reveal your awesome strength in the name of the next Great Pharaoh. King Marik!" Odion yelled as a green light shot into the skies before lightning rained down as the Winged Dragon appeared though Shadowed.

"Something doesn't feel right." Sean said narrowing his eyes.

"Let anyone who doubts my power feel the wrath of my great beast." Odion said.

"I'm waiting." Joey said.

"That thing absorbed his monster's attack points so it has the same. Giving it 5825." Turok said.

"Yeah. This isn't good." Sean said.

"Dragon of Ra! Attack his Life points directly." Odion ordered.

"What the?" Sean yelled as his Duel disk started glowing as did Marik's.

"Whats going on?" Seto asked.

"I don't know but my winged Dragon of Ra is royally pissed off for some reason. Something about that card is making him real mad." Sean said taking it out as it glowed before it appeared before them which shocked them all.

"Fake!" Ancient Ra said before vanishing.

"Fake?" Korra asked.

"Thats not the real Egyptian God Card at all! Its just a cheep copy. That proves he's not really Marik at all!" Sean yelled shocking Marik and Odion.

'Of course. Thats why the copies never worked. It's because there can only be one. Only reason the Gods don't act towards his is because they aren't copies but counterparts from his universe.' Marik said.

Thats when lightning began to ran down on the field before Odion was struck and his Rod was destroyed.

"Even more proof. That was just another cheep copy. End the duel!" Sean yelled.

"Roland!" Seto yelled.

"Due to using an Illegal Copy the winner by default is Joey Wheeler." Roland said as Sean and Korra jumped up before rushing to Odion as did Joey.

While this was going on Marik was holding his head groaning.

"Wake up." Sean said holding him up as he awakened.

"Please forgive me Joey. I'm sorry. It was an honor for me to duel with you." Odion said.

"You dueled pretty good yourself. But who are you really?" Korra asked.

"My name is Odion. I am but a Humble servant of the real Master." Odion said pointing to Marik who was holding his head.

"I knew it." Sean said seeing him holding the Rod. "Enough games you fuck head! Admit who you are!" Sean said making him face them.

"Yes, it's true. I am indeed the real Marik, you fools!" Marik said.

'Then he must have the third Egyptian God Card.' Seto said.

"So Namu lied to us all along?" Tea asked.

"Namu is just an Allies he used to fool you all. He just wanted to get closer to me and Yugi." Sean said.

"Very True. Once you showed up last week I knew I needed to gain more information on you and your friends. Imagine my complete surprise you all are from another Universe where Duel monsters are Real and known as the Ancients. Once I drain the power of the Pharaoh I'll conquer this world and yours." Marik said making Sean laugh which annoyed him. "Whats so Funny?"

"You think even if you gained this great power you'd win against my world? You'd be crushed in a second. There are billions of Anceints of every power Level. Some that even make the power you're after look like a joke." Sean said shocking him.

"We'll just see about that." Marik said before some projection came to his face before groaning as he held his head.

"Oh, no. I was afraid of this. We're all in great danger." Odion said.

"What are you talking about?" Sean asked.

"Master Marik has a greater evil inside him. And I am unable to contain it any longer." Odion said passing out.

"Oh great." Korra said before Marik started groaning seeing the projections becoming stronger.

"Let me out! You can't restrain me anymore."

Marik groaned louder before.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" Marik screamed as a bright green light appeared on him.

"Oh brother not this again." Korra said remembering how Anubis was the greater threat than Amon.

"Marik! Whats going on?" Yami asked before Marik laughed as his hair was looking more sinister and his face had a true evil look with the Millennium symbol on his head just like on Sean's was painted.

"I'm finally free again. I was restrained for many years by that fool Odion. But now I can do things my way." Marik said or rather his darker side.

"Who the fuck are you?" Sean asked.

"I'm the true Marik. And I'm not as kind as the one you've come to know. And soon I'll finish the job he couldn't complete and strip both of you of your powers. For I deserve to be Pharoh." Marik said.

"Oh please." Sean said.

"So get ready for the Real battle." Marik said before walking away.

"Things just got worse didn't they?" Korra asked.

"Way worse." Sean said.

"What just happened?" Seto asked walking to them.

"Think of it as a split personality. This is a darker version of Marik. One who's not afraid to use even Darker tactics on people." Sean said.

"Great. As if we don't have enough problems." Lin said.

"All we can do is defeat him and hope that after this and bring the real Marik back things will go back to Normal." Sean said.

"Somehow I very much doubt it." Turok said.

Authors Note: Man I really struggled with this since it was more Pointless Dialogue than action like the last two chapters that had mostly action in it. Now Next Chapter Mai vs Evil Marik. Hopefully I won't struggle as much as I did this. I love the game and all but I hate how things are dragged out in the original unlike GX. By the way I want to make something clear.
