Chapter 23 Duel tower
Most of the Finalists had something of a restless night after what happened to Bakura because of Marik.
Sean slowly awaked with a groan as he found a naked Korra on top of him making him grin before kissing her making her smile.
"Morning." Korra said before the speakers turned on.
"Attention Battle City Finalists. We are approaching the site of the finals. Be ready in one hour." Roland said making them sigh before they got up and got dressed.
Walking out they saw Marik with Ishizu before he pointed his Rod at her.
"Care to consider those words?" Marik questioned before a hand grabbed him and threw him into a wall making him grunt and growled seeing Sean who glared at him.
"Get lost." Sean said with a snarl making him scoff.
"I'll deal with you in the finals Kruger. Be certain of that." Marik said.
"Whatever." Sean said as he walked away. "You ok?" Sean asked making her nod.
"Yes, thank you." Ishizu said smiling as he walked away.
"Your starting to have feelings for him aren't you?" Korra said grinning.
"Sean is...Very Kind and understanding. He keeps his promises when he knows he can. Helps those in need. It's rather difficult not to feel something for him." Ishizu said smiling making her grin. "What are you grinning about exactly?" Ishizu asked.
"I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Tea before Marik was taken over by his darker side." Korra said.
Soon the blimp landed before they all got off looking at some tower.
"The hell is that thing?" Turok asked.
"The island we're standing on is the site of the original Kaibacorp. But I tore that down when I took control." Seto said.
"Original?" Korra asked.
"Long story for another time. We'll be dueling in the tower itself first. And believe me Yugi I plan to defeat you at the very top...If you can survive Sean's Ancients that is." Seto said making Sean chuckle in amusement.
"Look, Rich boy! I'm in the Tournament, Too! And you won't be getting past me! I'll duel so many circles around ya, You won't know your trap cards from ya graveyard, punk!" Joey said making most sweat drop.
"What does that even mean?" Sean asked confused.
"Must you insist on embarrassing yourself, Wheeler? You shouldn't even be in my tournament you amateur!" Seto said making him growl.
"Enough. Let's just get this over with. The sooner we defeat that nut job in Marik's body the better." Sean said as they walked to the Tower.
And thats when Marik showed up.
"It's such a lovely day, isn't it, Kruger? Too bad your friend can't enjoy it in the Shadow Realm." Marik said.
"Bakura ain't no friend of mine. Now stop wasting my time and get in the tower." Sean said making him chuckle.
"Then let's get on with these duels. When do I find out who my next Victim is? I doubt Kaiba set me up against you first." Marik said.
"Will you shut up. You'll find out how this works soon enough." Seto said as they entered the tower before Roland was seen.
"Your attention, please! Step to the Center of the Tower. The second half of the battle City Finals will take place right here!" Roland said.
"In this room?" Joey asked.
"Obviously not." Sean said.
"Heres the layout. The first four who won their duels on the blimp will go to one of the four doors. All four are the same." Roland said as the doors opened up. "Sean Ashburn Kruger, Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler and Marik Ishtar will you all choose a door so we can begin." Roland said.
"Hold up. What about Rich Boy?" Joey asked making him smirk.
"Just pick a door you geek." Seto said making him growl.
"I highly doubt it actually matters." Sean said picking his before Yugi got in one as did Marik and Finally Joey.
"Lets go." Seto said as they went through a door to an elevator as the doors closed.
Arriving in another room Korra rushed out.
"Well, where are they?" Korra asked before they arrived up on some platforms.
"What the hell?" Turok asked.
"I'll explain this quick. Each of them are on a platform that will ascend to the top as they lose life points. The first two to the top will duel duel second while the last two with life points will go first. I will duel the winner of the first round." Seto said.
'Oh I get it. He knows me and Yugi have a better chance of not losing our life points in this. So he wants us to duel first so he can duel one of us. Not bad.' Sean said.
"Now then all of you must limit your decks to 40 cards." Seto said making them look through their decks while Sean used his magic to select his cards with new ones he hasn't used yet.
"HEH! This is gonna be fun." Sean said putting his deck in his duel disk before plugging it into the system. "So who goes first?" Sean asked.
"In order to see who goes in what specific order you'll need to pick a card from your deck. The highest attack power will determine who goes in what order." Seto said. "However you also cannot use that monster in this duel." Seto said.
"Sounds simple enough." Sean said picking his card.
"Show the cards you have selected.
Sean had a card known as Malefic Truth dragon which had 5000 attack points.
'Another God Level Ancient no doubt.' Seto said.
Marik had a weaker monster but still powerful as Yugi had a lower one and Joey had the weakest on purpose.
"The results are as followed. Kruger, Marik, Yugi and Joey." Roland said.
"Ok enough talking. Lets get this done." Sean said as their life points went up to 4000.
Sean drew his cards before smirking.
"I play Polymerization to fuse two of my monsters. Elemental Hero Avian and Elemental hero Burstinatrix." Sean said as they fused together. "To summon my Elemental Hero Flame wingman." Sean said as he appeared.

"Not bad." Seto said.
"And with that I end my turn." Sean said.
"Ha. That card has nothing on my Newdoria." Marik said summoning his monster.

"My move and I place Big Shield Gardna in defense mode." Yami said placing his greatest defense. "And place two cards face down." Yugi said ending his turn.

"Last but not least." Joey said looking at his hand seeing he couldn't summon a monster since the three he did have were too high to summon. "I place a card face down and end it." Joey said.
"The hell was that? I expected a monster to attack. Oh well." Sean said before drawing his card and grins. 'This will come in handy for later. But for now.' Sean said. "I place one card face down and attack with my Flame wingman." Sean said as it rushed at Joey making him yell.
"Joey doesn't have any monsters to defend himself." Tristan said.
"Joey!" Serenity yelled.
"Not so fast. I activated my trap card. The Regulation of tribe. It allows me to stop the attack of one type of monster. I choose warriors." Yami said.
"Pure luck. Next time you won't be so lucky Joey." Sean said looking at the card he drew before hand. "And this card will make sure of that." Sean said.
'I wonder what he has in his hand?' Yami asked.
'No doubt another powerful Ancient.' Yugi said.
"It's my move and I place two cards face down and Summon Lord Poison in attack mode." Marik said

"And I attack with my Newdoria against Flame Wingman." Marik said confusing them all as it was destroyed by Sean's monster.
"The hell was that?" Sean asked before his monster blew up. "HEY! What the fuck?" Sean asked.
"What just happened?" Mokuba asked as Seto growled.
"If I had to guess Newdoria has a special ability." Seto said.
"Indeed it does. Once destroyed I can destroy any monster I wish. And it's clear which one I destroyed." Marik said.
"You still lose life points." Sean said.
"Not exactly. I activate the magic card known as Spell of pain. This directs the battle damage directly to someone else. Like Little Joey." Marik said freaking him out as he lost 900 life points before his platform went up. "HAHAHAHA! Enjoy your trip up there." Marik said while Sean chuckled which caught his attention. "Whats so funny?" Marik asked before Marik lost 1200 life points and went up. "WHAT! What is the meaning of this Kruger!" Marik yelled.
"I'm confused. Did Sean do something?" Mako asked.
"HA! My Wingman had a special ability. Whatever monster he destroys and sends to the Graveyard you lose life points equal to the Attack points of the monster it destroyed. In other words." Sean said making him growl annoyed seeing his plan backfired.

"Nice work, Sean." Yami said impressed.
"Yeah but now I'm defenseless." Sean said to himself but luckily he was prepared.
"It's my move. And I sacrifice my Big Shield Garnda to summon my beast of Gilfer." Yami said.

"Now my beast. Attack Sean's life points directly." Yami said as it attacked.
"I don't think so. Go Attack Guidance armor." Sean said as a set of armor appeared on Lord Poison. "Thanks to this your attack is directed to Marik's only monster." Sean said.
"Really?" Marik asked activating his face down. "Mirror force." Marik said.
"I don't think so. Go seven tools of the Bandit. At a cost of 1000 life points it destroys your trap card." Yami said.
"Oh no." Marik said as his wall was destroyed before his monster was destroyed making him lose 700 life points.

Marik growled as he and Yami went up.
"Now it's my turn." Joey said drawing his card. "I summon Gearfried the Iron knight." Joey said as he appeared.

'Now I could blast Marik and make it even close to him losing. Nah I got a better idea.' Joey said looking at Sean.
"Oh boy." Sean said.
"Attack Sean's life points directly." Joey said as he slashed him making him growl annoyed.
"You ok Sean?" Korra asked.
"Joey you are so gonna pay for that you cocksucker." Sean said making him laugh as he went up.

"My move." Sean said drawing his card. "I told you this card would make sure I win. I summon Cyber Dragon in Attack mode." Sean said as he summoned his new Monster that roared.

"HEY! Thats a five level monster. You need to sacrifice a monster first before summoning it." Joey said.
"Not true." Sean said confusing him. "If my opponent already has a monster I can special summon it. And now. Cyber Dragon attack Marik's life points directly." Sean ordered as his monster tried to blast him making Marik growl.
"Not so fast. Negate Attack." Marik said activating his face down which ended his battle phase.
"Oh man. If Sean's attack went through he would have taken Marik down for good." Mokuba said.
"True. But Marik's trying desperately not to lose so soon." Seto said.
"HA! A cowards tool when you're in the position you are now. Never mind that anyway. I place three cards face down and end my turn." Sean said making Marik growl looking at his Cyber Dragon.
'These Ancients are more powerful than I realize. If monsters like these exist the power I could obtain could be limitless. I could rule the Multiverse with them.' Marik thought.
"Go!" Sean yelled making him growl.
"Fine. I summon Dark Jaroid in attack mode." Marik said summoning it.

"Big deal. It's the weakest monster on the field." Joey said.
'Somehow I doubt it stays that way.' Sean said.
"Now I attack Gearfried the Iron knight." Marik said before his knight lost 800 points.
"HEY! What gives?" Joey asked.
"My Jaroid has the ability to take 800 attack points away from the monster it attacks." Marik said as his monster moved in.
"Not so fast. Go Skull dice." Joey said as a little devil looking monster appeared holding a red Die appeared before it dropped. "Skull dice reduces the attack points by how high I role. I need a two or higher." Joey said as it rolled on a two. "All right. Now it's reduced by half making my monster 400 points higher than yours." Joey said as his monster was about to attack.
Only to shrink.
"WHAT! What happened to my monster. It's a Mini Gearfried." Joey said as Marik look just as confused.
"What happened?" Yami asked while Sean chuckled getting his attention. "Sean? You did that?" Yami asked surprised.
"I told you I'd get even for that attack from earlier. I activated Shrink. It reduced your attack points by half." Sean said as his monster was destroyed making Joey lose a hundred life points.
"I won't forget that. You're going down." Joey said.
"And you're going up which is way worse. Nothing personal. Just whats comes around goes around." Sean said chuckling.
"My move. Now I attack with my beast of Gilfer. Attack Cyber Dragon." Yami's ordered as his monster went in for the kill before an explosion occurred.
"Awesome. Bye bye Dragon." Joey said before the smoke cleared and Cyber Dragon remained while Yami's monster was destroyed.
"What? But how? Gilfer was a hundred points stronger." Yami said as Sean chuckled.
"Did you forget about my other face down cards? I activated my magic Card Machine Conversion Factory." Sean said as it appeared.
"Whats that?" Joey asked.
"It increases the attack points of Machine monsters by 300 and defense points as well. So in other words my monster was stronger by 200." Sean said as Yami lost 200 life points before going up.
"Awesome move. Maybe Sean was right about Him winning with that Cyber Dragon." Mokuba said.
"It's definitely a powerful card." Seto said.
"My move. And I play my Axe Raider." Joey said playing his monster.

"Not so fast. I play my final face down. Trap Hole." Sean said as his monster was destroyed making Joey yell in shock.
"I don't believe this!" Joey yelled in shock.
"Sean's doing pretty good." Tea said making Korra smirk.
"He's always thinking things through very carefully." Korra said.
"Now it's my move." Sean said drawing his card. "First I place this face down and then I activate Card of Sanctity. This allows us all to draw until we all have six cards." Sean said as everyone drew. "Next I play the field spell Fusion gate. This lets me fusion summon without the magic card. And I fuse my Cyber Dragon on the Field with the one in my hand to Fusion summon Cyber Twin Dragon." Sean said as a two headed Cyber Dragon appeared on the field and roared.

"And next I play the Magic Card Limiter Removal. This doubles my Dragon's attack points making it 5600 and Then I activate quick attack to Attack now. Now go attack Marik's monster." Sean said making Marik yell as his monster was reduced to nothing and lost all his life points making him go to the very Top.
"All right. Goodbye Marik!" Joey said.
"Your next." Sean said shocking him.
"What are you talking about. You can only attack once." Yami said.
"Not him. He can attack twice." Sean said shocking him. "Besides Joey wants to duel Marik anyway. Isn't that right?" Sean asked making him nod.
"Joey." Yami tried to say.
"Look I gotta do this. He's caused enough trouble." Joey said.
"Now go." Sean said as his dragon blasted him making him groan as he lost all his life points and went to the top.
"Well, that was fun." Sean said.
"The duel is now over. Sean Ashburn Kruger will face Yugi Muto in Round one while Joey Wheeler will face Marik Ishtar in Round Two. Seto Kaiba will face the Winner of Round one." Roland said.
"Perfect." Seto said grinning as the platforms went to the top.
"Whoa!" Sean yelled.
"Here we go." Korra said.
"I don't know who to cheer for in the first round. I want them both to win." Tea said.
"You could always stay neutral." Mai said.
"No." Tea said sighing not knowing who to support the most.
"Just be yourself. It's all we can do." Korra said.
Authors Note: Wow that was intense. More Gx monsters appeared. Now the Next duel is a fight for the Title of King of Games. This is gonna be really intense. And I got special surprises in store for all of you. A reminder theres a massive storm approaching tomorrow so Power may go out and I'll be unable to update or work on the story.
