Chapter 26 Clash in the Coliseum
Everyone was at the Medical room seeing Joey getting treated by Korra from Ra's Injuries.
"I still can't believe you survived that. Guess the Winged Dragon of Ra here isn't as powerful as ours." Reznov said.
"For Every universe there are similarities and differences. This Ra while still incredibly powerful is not as powerful as ours since it gains power from our universe while this one from itself alone." Sean said.
"Thats true. Still the damage could have been worse. And now Joey has the Winged Dragon of Ra." Tenzin said.
"Not like I can use it though. I can't read the language on the card." Joey said.
"Maybe not but you can brag you won the damn thing." Sean said making him grin.
"So now thats left is for you and Kaiba to duel." Tea said.
"Speaking of which." Sean said looking at the clock seeing he had to be there in 30 minutes. "I best get going. I'll see you all there." Sean said leaving.
Once outside the room Tea followed.
"Sean wait." Tea said making him stop.
"Yes?" Sean asked.
"I know Marik's lost and all but what if this only makes things worse. Now he'll be more dangerous than ever since he lost." Tea said worried before he turned around and held her face in one hand.
"Tea worrying about the future only makes those fears worse. The best you can do is focus on here and now. We'll be fine." Sean said making her smile a little before he walked off to face Seto.
"He's always been wise." Korra said next to her. "And it looks like your feelings for him are growing." Korra teased making her blush.
"I still can't believe at what you're suggesting. It sounds..." Tea tried to say.
"What? Wrong? Theres nothing wrong with it in our world. Besides...Think of it as...Strengthening relations between both universes when you come to our universe." Korra said.
"Well, when you put it that way." Tea said.
"Her suggestion isn't just for improving relations." Ishizu said gaining their attention.
"Ishizu?" Tea asked.
"She's got her own feelings you know." Korra said making her smile lightly.
"Sean is a very special person. He keeps his promises to those he makes them to. And he changes those around him for the better. Seto Kaiba is prof of this." Ishizu said making Tea blink having noticed Kaiba had changed since they arrived.
Later
Sean was on the Elevator looking at the Egyptian God Card Slifer the Sky Dragon.
"Seto would want this in my deck to make things evened out. I prefer my Ancients but having an extra couldn't hurt." Sean said putting it in while using his Magic to add new cards to it to make a whole new Deck.
Arriving at the Top he found Seto waiting with a grin.
"Where the others? I half expected them all to show up." Seto said used to it.
"Ah they'll be here soon enough. Joey may have pulled through but even damage like that ain't easy to recover from." Sean said.
"True. I was sure me and Yugi would be the ones facing off when I first started this tournament before you showed up. Funny how things work isn't it?" Seto said making him grin.
"Like I said life works in strange ways. Though even though Marik is defeated I gotta make sure he stays here until I can place this Darker Half in the Shadow Realm so the real Marik can take control." Sean said.
"I've already fixed that." Seto said pulling out some chip. "Without this the Blimp can't take off. So Marik is stuck here." Seto said.
"Always plan ahead eh?" Sean asked making him smirk.
"You don't get to be in my position without planning things in advance." Seto said before the platform went up. "Now a duel like this needs a special setting." Seto said a special hologram surrounded them.
"What is this?" Sean asked.
"I just want to take you down in style." Seto before some coliseum appeared with people cheering for both. "I don't know if your world had this culture but in ancient times here Roman Gladiators would battle to their doom to prove who was the strongest. Now it's our turn." Seto said before the others showed up.
"WHOA! What the?" Joey yelled.
"Relax. It's just a hologram." Seto said.
"I get the feeling he was saving this for you." Joey said to Yami who nods.
"Now lets duel." Seto said as their lifepoints went up to 4000.
"I'll make the first move." Sean said drawing his cards and grinned seeing he had some good ones. "I summon my Dark Blade in attack mode." Sean said as his Dark Blade appeared.

"Hmm. Why would he place a monster with the exact same attack and defense points as mine?" Sean asked.
Seto grinned seeing he drew his God Card on his first turn.
'I just need him to summon another monster in order for this to work.' Seto said.
"Next I play a magic card. Spell sanctuary. This allows both of us to pick a magic card from our decks." Seto said picking his before Sean picked up his.
'Now why would Seto let me pick my Gift of Sanctity? Whatever Card he just picked must be worth it. Sean said.
"I place one card face down and end my turn." Seto said.
"My move." Sean said drawing his card before smirking. "I play the card you just let me have. Gift of Sanctity!" Sean said placing it in his field slot before a treasure vault appeared making Seto narrow his eyes.
'If he's playing this to strengthen Slifer it will make things difficult. Then again he may not even be planning to summon it.' Seto said.
"Next I play my next Monster. Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode." Sean said as he appeared.

"I get the feeling Sean's trying to summon a new Fusion monster." Yami said.
"You've fallen directly into my trap. Go Soul Exchange!" Seto yelled as Sean's monsters moved to his side of the field.
"Not so fast. Go Brain control." Sean said making him gasp as his Cannon was taken from him. "Nice try. You already have Obelisk don't you? Well, you won't get to summon it that easy." Sean said amused.
"Are you sure?" Seto asked confusing him. "Go Enemy controller. For the cost of a thousand life points I can take control of my monster." Seto said taking his monster back.
"Fuck." Sean said.
"Now I sacrifice Dark Blade, X head Cannon and Clayman too summon..." Seto tried to say before his card was frozen solid. "WHAT!" Seto yelled.
"Like I said it won't be that easy." Sean said revealing another card known as Ancient Freeze. "This is another Card I made. Your card is frozen for 3 turns. Sorry but you won't be summoning Obelisk that quickly." Sean said making him smirk.
"For now." Seto said.
"Now I place one Card face down and end my turn." Sean said.
'Hmph! He may be planning to summon Slifer if he has it but I'll be the first to summon A God.' Seto said.
"Now I summon Y Dragon head." Seto said as a metal dragon appeared.

"I'll bet. When I have the third and Final Card..." Seto tried to say.
"Third? There are five." Sean said surprising him. "VWXYZ Dragon Catapult Cannon is the strongest version. All five combine into that." Sean said.
'This I gotta see.' Seto said.
"Well currently theres only the three here. Now Go attack his Dark Blade." Seto ordered as his monster destroyed his Dark Blade.

"I don't think so." Sean said. "I play Polymerization to fuse him and my Bubbleman to summon Elemental Hero Mudball man." Sean said as a larger man appeared in defense mode.

"Next I place Cost Down to summon my Millennium Shield and place two cards face down." Sean said as a shield appeared.

"Now he's got two monsters on the field that can block his attacks.
"Don't tell me you're doing this to block my attacks to summon Slifer." Seto asked amused.
"Hardly. He's not even in my hand anyway." Sean said.
"Well, now he's not going to be. Go Lullaby of Obedience." Seto said.
"Huh?" Sean asked.
"Heres how it works. I can pick any card from your deck and add it to my hand. At the cost of one thousand life points." Seto said. (He never explained that in the dub episode and I got confused by that in the second episode)
"You want Slifer." Sean said.
"Bingo." Seto said making him sigh before looking through his deck seeing it was three moves ahead before flicking it to him. "A pity you never got to use it." Seto said.
"Oh I'm not so sure about that." Sean said before his face down was revealed as Exchange.
"Exchange?" Seto asked surprised.
"You didn't think it was that easy did ya?" Sean asked making him scoff before handing it back before taking a card from his hand and smirked seeing it was Megamorph which could double the attack points of any monster. "Now I activate my second face down. Ancient God Exchange." Sean said as it was revealed.
"God Exchange?" Seto asked.
"Heres how it works. I send one high level Monster Like Slifer to the Graveyard and replace it with something of the same level." Sean said.
"Your picking Raviel aren't you?" Seto asked.
"Good guess." Sean said picking it from his deck which was at the very bottom. "Slifer was a small price to pay for something even better." Sean said making him grin.
"We'll see about that." Seto said placing one card face down and ending his turn. "Make your move." Seto said.
"Very well. I play my next Card. Soul Tiger in Defense Mode." Sean said as his new monster appeared.

"Now I play my next Magic Card. Raviel's minions." Sean said.
"Minions?" Seto asked.
"Heres how it works I can sacrifice my monsters to place three Fiend type Tokens on the field. Raviel can't be summoned unless you sacrifice three Fiends. And as an added bonus to you you get to play one level Four monster from your deck." Sean said making him place his Z Metal Tank on the field.

"Now I get to sacrifice my three Tokens to summon my Final Sacred beast." Sean said making Seto widen his eyes as the tokens vanished before a black flash of lightning struck the ground as Raviel appeared and roared loudly at Seto.
"Whoa! That thing looks almost like Obelisk!" Duke yelled.
"Oh man. Seto is so boned." Joey said grinning.
"Just you wait." Mokuba said.

"Now attack his cannon!" Sean yelled as Raviel pulled his fist back to smash his tank.
"Not so fast. I activate the face down card. Interdimensional matter transport. This puts my monster out of the game for one turn." Seto said as Raviel only smashed the ground before roaring loudly into the air as lightning rained down. "Clearly he's not happy about that." Seto said as Lightning nearly struck Joey making him yell.
"HEY! Watch where you're aiming ya freak!" Joey said as Raviel looked at him making him cower behind Korra. "I didn't say nothing!" Joey said.
"Oh brother." Sean said.
"And now your Magic Card has worn out." Seto said as Obelisk returned to his hand. "Now I sacrifice my Monster which consists of three monsters in order to summon Obelisk the Tormentor!" Seto yelled as his Tank vanished before the skies lit up as Obelisk came down and roared at Raviel who roared right back. "Lets see which is stronger. An Egyptian God or an ancient Sacred Beast." Seto said.

"Our monsters are Even. But that may not last." Sean said as a mini Raviel appeared.
"What?" Seto asked surprised.
"Whenever you summon a monster a Token appears in defense mode." Sean said.
'Theres more to that than he's letting on.' Seto said.
"Why do you think he summoned that token?" Tea asked.
"I don't know." Korra said.
"Since both our monsters are evenly matched I'll place this one card face down and end my turn." Seto said.
'I'm willing to bet thats Megamorph. But thankfully I have the card in mind to handle it.' Sean said looking at his De-Spell magic card.
"I sacrifice my Token to strengthen my God." Sean said as Raviel absorbed the Token gaining an extra thousand Attack points before roaring loudly. "Attack Obelisk now." Sean said as Raviel went for the attack.
"Not so fast. I activate my face down." Seto said.
"Nice try but Megamorph will be useless once I activate De-Spell." Sean said making him laugh.
"Who said it was Megamorph." Seto said shocking him, "I activate Negate attack." Seto said as the battle ended. "I knew you would have an ace to block that spell and thanks to that you just wasted it." Seto said making him growl annoyed. "Now your Token is gone. I knew there was more to it than that." Seto said.
"You always were observant. But keep in mind as long as you continue to summon monsters more tokens will appear." Sean said.
"True. But now I play the Magic Card thirst for compensation. This lets me play two monsters from my hand to the field. And I choose Blade Knight and Vorse Raider." Seto said as they both appeared.
"But don't forget my tokens also appear." Sean said as two appeared.
"Thats no problem. Cause now I sacrifice my monsters to strengthen Obelisk which doubles his attack points and when he destroys a monster you lose life points equal to his. Now Attack Raviel!" Seto ordered as Obelisk went on the attack.
"Not so fast." Sean said as he discarded a card before a wall of Kuriboh's appeared blocking his attack.
"WHAT!" Seto yelled.
"Kuriboh blocked your attack by discarding him. He may not be all powerful like them but he's far from useless." Sean said.
"I still can't believe you even have that thing." Seto said.
"Like I said he's my little buddy back home." Sean said.
"Whatever. I place this face down and end my turn." Seto said.
"My move. I sacrifice my tokens like before and attack!" Sean said as Raviel was about to attack.
"Not so fast! Go Command Silencer!" Seto said revealing his trap card before some Totem activated and made some loud shriek.
"YEOOW!" Sean yelled holding his ears.
"OW! WHAT THE!" Turok yelled.
"MY FUCKING EARS!" Reznov yelled.
"What is that thing?" Korra asked.
"This prevented your monster from hearing your attack. Which means I'm safe." Seto said.
"Great." Sean said ending his turn after placing a face down.
"Now I play the Magic Card Rush Recklessly. This increases my attack points by 700. More than enough to destroy Raviel." Seto said.
"Not so fast. I play this. Vengence of Lost souls." Sean said as a magic card appeared as four of Seto's monsters appeared.
"Why are my monsters returning to the field?" Seto asked before noticing his monster was weakened by 2400. "What did you do?" Seto asked before four Tokens appeared.
"You see Vengeance of Lost souls allows any number of monsters from your Graveyard to appear and weaken your monster by 600 for each one summoned. Another Card I created. If your monster has over 3000 points it loses those points for each monster. But at the end of your turn they vanish and you regain your attack points." Sean said making him smirk.
"Not bad. I'm actually impressed you made something like that." Seto said.
"I figured it might be useful at one point. However there is a draw back. I must remove one card from my graveyard for each one brought back." Sean said removing Dark Blade, Clayman, Bubbleman and Soul Tiger.
"I place one card face down and end my turn." Seto said.
"Now I sacrifice my four tokens which doubles Raviel's attack points bringing it up to 8000." Sean said as Raviel roared loudly.
"Oh no!" Mokuba said.
"Oh man. Kaiba is so toast." Tristan said as Raviel went for the attack.
"Hold on! I activate my face down. Megamorph!" Seto said revealing the card he took from Sean making their monsters even before their fists collided making a massive ball of light as the whole place shook.
'The hell!' Sean asked.
'Kaibacorp holograms aren't supposed to do this!' Kaiba yelled.
"The hell is going on!" Sean yelled.
"I don't know! That light is stronger than anything I've ever seen!" Seto yelled as it engulfed them all.
Marik at the bottom of the tower saw all this before his rod started glowing.
"Whats this? My Millennium rod is activating! This is exactly what happened during Kaiba's last duel against Ishizu." Marik said.
Everyone soon up top minus Roland soon found themselves in a barren Westland.
"Where are we?" Mokuba asked.
"And why are we not on the duel tower anymore?" Seto asked.
"Whoa. That was intense. When both gods clashed the power was so great it sent us...Where ever we are." Sean said.
"Look at this dump!" Seto said seeing destroyed buildings by the ocean. "No one has lived here for years." Seto said.
"Wait this looks familiar." Korra said.
"How can you recognize this place?" Tristan asked before Korra looked up at the mountains.
"Wait a minute. This is where Republic City is." Korra said.
"Before Republic City actually. This is Paradise." Sean said.
"Please how can you call this place Paradise?" Seto asked.
"No I mean this is Paradise City. I grew up here a million years ago. But what happened?" Sean asked.
'This is no doubt one of Sean's memories he cannot recall. The blast from both Obelisk and Raviel was so great it managed to bring us to one of those memories.' Ishizu said.
Thats when they heard a fierce roar making them look before seeing the Ancient Gods surround a dark mist as an evil laughter was heard.
"Zorc." Sean said shocking them.
"Thats Zorc?" Seto asked in shock as he laughed at the Ancient Gods.
"You may have defeated me this time. But Mark my words. I will return. Even if it takes a million years. I will have my revenge." Zorc said vanishing.
Thats when the same light from before engulfed them all making them yell.
Everyone soon reappeared back on the tower with Sean and Seto on their knees.
"Ok...That was intense." Sean said as they stood up looking around.
'That was no doubt one of Sean's locked memories.' Yami said.
'Yeah. But how was Zorc defeated the first time?' Yugi asked.
'Whatever happened in that memory he can't remember and yet though these Ancient Gods defeated him once. But the question is how? And why can't he remember?' Seto asked.
"Lets just finish this and ask questions later." Sean said.
"Fine." Seto said seeing both monsters were gone. "Since both of our monsters are gone we're both open. I place one card face down. And End my turn." Seto said.
"My move." Sean said drawing his next cards. "I play Monster Reborn." Sean said bringing back his Millennium Shield.
"You've activated my trap card. Cloning Trap lets me make an exact duplicate of your Shield." Seto said.
"I place a card face down and end my turn." Sean said.
"I activate Cost Down to Summon my Blue Eyes white Dragon!" Seto said as the Clone vanished before Kaiba's best monster appeared and roared loudly.

"I activate Graverober." Sean said a Joey's favorite Trap appeared laughing.
"Huh?" Seto asked.
"I'm using this little guy to take your cost down card. So I can activate it and summon my Tri Horned Dragon." Sean said as his own favorite dragon appeared and roared at Seto.

"Hmm. I play three cards face down and end my turn." Sean said.
"It's my move." Seto said drawing his next card. 'Knowing him he's got something that will either increase his Dragon's attack points or lower mine. But that doesn't matter. All I need to do is summon my legendary beast. The Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. And then this duel will be mine.' Seto said laughing.
"I play lord of Dragons." Seto said as he appeared.

"And next I play my Flute of summoning Dragons. I play my two remanning Blue eyes." Seto said as two of them appeared and roared loudly.
"Oh boy." Sean said before grinning. "You know the card lets me summon two dragons as well." Sean said. (It doesn't actually say that on the real card but they did this in the Anime)
"I know. If you have something let's see." Seto said interested.
"Very well. I summon my Armed Dragon Level 5." Sean said as his new Dragon appeared and roared.

"Whats the matter? Don't have those yet?" Sean asked.
'What is he up to? He wouldn't summon a weak monster unless he was up to something.' Seto said.
"Blue Eyes destroy his Armed Dragon Level 5." Seto ordered before his first destroyed it making Sean lose 600 life points. "Now attack his Tri Horned Dragon." Seto said.
"Don't think so." Sean said playing his face down Negate Attack.
'What! Why didn't he activate that last turn. Does it have a special ability?' Seto asked.
"I was hoping you'd destroy that one first. Now I can special summon Armed Dragon level 7 which is one of the highest levels." Sean said shocking him as a new Dragon appeared and roared loudly.

"It's still weaker than my dragons." Seto said.
"Maybe...But it has a special ability. By discarding a monster with more attack points than your monsters it can easily destroy them." Seto said shocking him. "Fortunately for you I only have cards that can destroy your Lord of Dragons." Sean said discarding Celtic Guardian before Armed Dragon blasted him to nothing.
"I get it. So it can automatically destroy anything as long as the cards on the field are weaker than the one you discarded. Clever." Seto said impressed.
"Now I end my turn." Sean said.
"My move." Seto said drawing his cards and smirked. "You fought well but not well enough. I play my polymerization magic Card!" Seto said as all three Dragons fused together before forming Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

"And Now I activate my Magic Card Quick Attack. Now destroy his Armed Dragon!" Seto Ordered as Ultimate dragon blasted him to nothing making Sean groan as he lost 1700 life points.

"HAHAHAHA! You fought well but theres nothing you can summon that can defeat my ultimate dragon!" Seto laughed making Sean chuckle making him narrow his eyes.
"I wouldn't say that just yet. Go Premature Burial. By giving up 800 life points I can bring back my Armed Dragon!" Sean said as he reappeared.

"And then I activate my final Face down. Level Up." Sean said shocking him.
"But you said Level 7 was the strongest!" Seto said.
"I said one of the higest levels. This next one is the Highest. As you will soon see. GO ARMED DRAGON LEVEL 10!" Sean yelled as a massive explosion occurred before the Final Armed Dragon appeared and roared.

"True but last time my dragon required a monster that was stronger than those on the field to destroy them. What do you think this one does?" Sean asked shocking him.
"It destroys all monsters!" Seto yelled shocking everyone.
"Thats right! Now I discard a simple trap card in order to activate his special ability!" Sean said discarding one more card before Armed Dragon blasted Ultimate Dragon to nothing making Seto gasp in shock.
"Now My Tri Horned Dragon...ATTACK!" Sean yelled as his Dragon charged at Seto who gasped before yelling as he was hit making him lose all his life points and lost the duel.
"Seto no!" Mokuba yelled as the duel came to an end.
Seto groaned before Sean stood over him and chuckled.
"Out of all the duels we had that one was the most intense." Sean said making him face him before a small grin came on his face.
"Don't think this means anything just yet. I still got nine victories over you." Seto said making him chuckle.
"The winner of this Duel is Sean Ashburn Kruger. He'll go on to the final Round to face Joey Wheeler." Roland said making everyone cheer before rushing up.
"All right. Way to go!" Joey said.
"Nice work." Yami said making him chuckle.
"You did really good Seto." Mokuba said.
"True. Still These Ancients are full of surprises. I may not have won like I planed but this could work to my favor." Seto said before Taking Obelisk out.
'I originally wanted to win this to have all three. But these Ancients are a far better prize. And making a new City. A new Paradise City.' Seto said before tossing this God Card to Sean who smirked.
"Thats two of the Egyptian God Cards." Yami said.
"Now all I gotta do is Beat Joey and then I'll have all three." Sean said grinning making him scoff.
"You wish. I'd bet I could beat you in 3 turns." Joey said before Korra elbowed him hard making him grunt.
"Please you wish." Korra said.
"Why don't we just get this over with." Sean said.
"Yeah sure." Joey said as they stood across from each other.
While this was going on Marik was at the bottom of the Tower growling.
"I don't believe this! Ultimate Power was within my grasp!" Marik roared before a purple portal appeared behind him making him look and saw someone coming out.

When both Life points went up to 4000 thousand Joey started things off.
"Ok Buddy lets go. I play Landstar forces which lets me summon as many Landstar monsters I got in my hand. And I got three. Swordsman of Landstar, Knight of Landstar and Grappler of Landstar and Now I sacrifice all three to summon my Gilford the Lightning!" Joey said as he appeared and roared loudly.

"Yeah sure." Sean said before looking at his hand and smirked. "Remember how I took out Weevil in one turn?" Sean asked making him blink. "I play my powerbond to fuse my three Cyber Dragons together to make Cyber End Dragon." Sean said as one of this best monsters appeared.

"And thanks to Power Bond his attack points are doubled." Sean said as they went to 8000 and roared loudly.
"Hey you still can't attack till your next turn." Joey said before Sean held up Quick Attack making him gasp in shock.
"I normally hate having these duels end so quick against a friend but being honest I'd like to go home." Sean said making most from his world agree.
"Now Cyber End Dragon end this Duel!" Sean yelled as Cyber Dragon blasted Gilford to dust making Joey yell as he lost.
"Aw man. It's like my early dueling days all over again." Joey said annoyed.
"HA! Like you could defeat something of that level." Seto said.
"Just save it!" Joey yelled before giving him his God Card. "Would have been nice to use it just once you know." Joey said.
"Ah. Maybe some Ancients versions might pick ya." Sean said.
"I highly doubt that!"
Sean and those from his world widened their eyes turning to face their Bakura.
"Bakura!" Sean yelled.
"Whoa! thats you're Bakura?" Joey yelled in shock.
"I must say I was rather surprised to find you in another universe because of that brat. But just as you have gained your allies here so have I." Bakura said before Marik appeared behind him.
"Great." Sean said before he pulled something behind him which was actually the real Marik shocking them all.
"Bakura has given me my own body for this alliance." Yami Marik said.
"Release my Master!" Odion yelled appearing shocking them all.
"You can have him." Yami Marik said throwing him to Odion who caught him before Ishizu rushed to him.
"You arrogant fuck." Sean said making Bakura chuckle.
"I'll be seeing you again real soon." Bakura said creating a portal before they vanished making them glare.
"Man he's even worse than the Evil Bakura here." Joey said.
"The hell was your first clue?" Reznov asked as they went down to the blimp.
Later
Marik regained conciseness before he apologized for everything he had done having found out what he did through Tea's eyes.
Thats when Sean looked in the storage room seeing the Bakura of this universe.
"Oh hello. I don't think we've met." Bakura said.
"Found him." Sean said as the others rushed in.
"Hey Bakura. What are ya doing in the Pantry?" Joey asked
"I was in the Shadow realm for a short while. Not much to eat there." Bakura said.
"Why am I not surprised?" Seto asked. "Ok thats everyone. Tell Roland to take off while Mokuba and I set the charges." Seto said.
"Charges?" Sean asked.
"This whole island is set to explode. To move on from my step father's shadow. Think of him as a counterpart to Korra's Uncle Unalaq." Seto said walking off.
"Theres a scary thought." Korra said.
"Hold up. How you gonna get out?" Turok asked.
"We already have something here to get us back to Kaibacorp. By tomorrow the gateway will be finished." Seto said leaving with Mokuba.
"Well, thats the end of that." Sean said as the Blimp began to take off.
Not soon after the tower exploded by Seto and Mokuba were on a Blue Eyes Jet.
"SAY WHAT!" Joey yelled in shock.
"Where does he make all this?" Turok asked.
"I have no idea." Korra said.
"I'll see all of you tomorrow." Seto said flying off.
"Home sweet home here we come." Sean said making Korra grin.
