Chapter 27 Return home
The Next Day after everyone made it back to the City everyone was at Kaibacorp.
"Whoa!" Joey said seeing a large gateway that was built.
"Spare no expense. This will take us to their world. But first I need Sean to use his energy on this pad." Seto said.
"Why?" Sean asked.
"Just as the Multiverse theory exists it's also been theorized that everyone in that universe has their own unique energy signature." Seto said.
"Oh I get it." Sean said before doing just that before the gateway lit up.
"Lets go home." Korra said as they walked through.
They soon appeared in the Southern Water Tribe.
"Home sweet home." Sean said before Kuriboh appeared and jumped on him. "Hey Buddy." Sean said.
"Whoa." Joey said before Red Eyes flew over them.
"This is so cool." Mokuba said.
"There you are."
Sean looked as his mother appeared.
"Dark Magician Girl?" Yugi said.
"Hey Mom." Sean said shocking most of them.
"MOM!" Joey and Tristan yelled in shock.
"Did I forget to mention this?" Sean asked rubbing his head making Mana smile.
"What are you even wearing?" Mana asked seeing his new getup.
"Long story. Short version we arrived in a new Universe because of Meelo's screw up. Where Ancients are actually a card game." Sean said showing his deck making her giggle.
"I find this amusing more then anything." Mana said before getting serious. "Anyway we have problems. While you were gone we had no gateway to this world. And Unalaq is blaming Tonraq and Senna." Mana said shocking them.
"WHAT!" Sean yelled before rushing off.
Tonraq growled as he and Senna were chained up with Unalaq above them over a crowd.
"Unalaq! This is over the line!" Tonraq said.
"Then tell me where they are and I'll let you go." Unalaq said.
"We don't know! They went to the Ancients and never came back." Senna said.
"Then you are of no use to me. Disp..." Unalaq tried to say before Sean actually punched him down hard much to his shock.
"ARROGANT BASTARD!" Sean roared holding him up. "We're gone for a week and you try to pull this!" Sean yelled slamming him down hard.
"Mom! Dad!" Korra yelled as she rushed to them and freed them.
"Where have you two been?" Senna asked holding her as did Tonraq.
"It's a long story." Korra said as Sean fought off Unalaq's men before holding him up.
"I should send you to the Shadow realm." Sean said with his puzzle glowing making him gasp in shock.
"Thats enough." Mahad said.
"You know he deserves it." Sean said.
"We only reserve that for those who have actually committed a crime. He hasn't...Yet." Mahad said making Sean growl before dropping him.
"Where have you all been? And what are you wearing?" Senna asked looking at Sean's new getup making him sigh before glaring at Mai who giggled.
"Uh short version Meelo screwed up the spell we were gonna use to get to the Ancients. And we ended up in another universe." Sean said shocking them.
"Were there Ancients there?" Unalaq asked making him glare.
"I wasn't talking to you." Sean said.
"Please. There must have been Ancients there." Unalaq said making him scoff.
"Not in the way they are here." Sean said pulling out his deck showing his cards.
"Cards?" Tonraq asked.
"Their called duel monsters back in our world. It's a fun game." Joey said before Unalaq glared. "What are you glared at me for pal?" Joey asked glaring back.
"You need to leave. You insult the Ancients here with this mockery!" Unalaq yelled.
"Thats not how my mother saw it." Sean said shocking him.
"WHAT!" Unalaq yelled.
"She said she found it more amusing than anything. Every universe is different. Where the Ancients are as they are here. And in their universe they are just a card game. Or in another they don't exist at all. Endless possibilities." Sean said before Unalaq grabbed him.
"You are coming with me. This is exactly why I told your mother I was more fit to train you! You are becoming misguided with nonsense like this!" Unalaq said before Sean turned into Blue eyes and roared loudly at him much to his shock.
"BE GONE!" Sean yelled blasting him into a wall out cold before Sean turned human. "Fucking asshole." Sean said.
"He's no different than Gozaburo." Mokuba said making Seto nod.
"Who?" Sean asked.
"Our stepfather who was no different than him. Always believing he was right and did whatever it took to get what he wanted." Seto said.
"Hmph!" Sean said before they walked off as Unalaq's men took him away.
Arriving at their home however though.
"No offense but this is kinda small." Joey said.
"Its mostly for four people like us. May be small but it's home." Sean said.
"So what exactly happened?" Tonraq asked.
"It's all Meelo's fault. He screwed up the spell runes saying they were ugly and got transported to their universe." Sean said. "Speaking of which where is the little shit?" Sean asked.
"They went back to Air temple island when you vanished. I think Pema didn't want him to face Unalaq's judgment." Senna said.
"Not that I blame her." Korra said.
"Honestly that bastard is getting on my last nerves. I had high hopes when we got back to tear down whats left of Republic City and build the new one." Sean said.
"Build a new City?" Tonraq asked.
"Seto owns a billions dollar company. And he plans to tear down whats left of it to build a new city. No one is gonna move back to an old city thats stained with blood of millions." Sean said.
"I suppose not." Tonraq said.
"The only way for people to come back and move in is to build a new one. Both from here and our universe." Seto said.
Later
A portal opened up before everyone stepped out to what was left of Republic City.
"Oh my god." Tea said covering her mouth seeing the devastation.
"And Anubis did all this in a minute?" Marik asked.
"Sadly yes. Thats the kind of power this world holds." Sean said kicking some rubble before more came down.
"I don't believe this." Tristan said before seeing the Ancients moving the rubble.
"Like I said the guy was a madman. Killed millions in a minute. No one is gonna come back to a wasted City. Even if it was rebuilt the place with the same name no one is gonna come back. The only way they will is if they have something new to come back to." Sean said.
"Hence where we come in. I plan to turn this place into something similar to Battle City. Not just with duel monsters but with other games related to it or new games we can create." Seto said.
"I get it. They'll come here for something new that they haven't seen." Yugi said.
"Exactly. The Ancients will help clear all this out. It'll speed things along." Sean said.
"What about all the good things this City has. Like the people who found it?" Joey asked.
"Statues and such will remain. It would be a crime to remove them." Seto said.
Soon everyone made it to Air temple island before Pema saw them.
"Tenzin?" Pema asked shocked.
"Hello, Pema." Tenzin said as she held him.
"Where is he?" Sean asked looking for Meelo.
"Oh boy that kid is in trouble." Joey said.
"AHHHH!" Meelo yelled as Sean came out holding his head.
"Lets go you little shit." Sean said.
"I said I was sorry!" Meelo yelled before Sean arrived at the water.
"You could have gotten us killed." Sean said. "And you did it because I say in your exact words. The Runes looked ugly. How fucking stupid are ya?" Sean asked.
"But they were...AHHH!" Meelo yelled as Sean shoved his head in the water holding him there for a little while whistling.
"Oh wow. I thought he was just gonna scold his ass. But this is way better. How are you related to the idiot?" Turok asked Jinora who sighed.
"I have no idea." Jinora said.
"Ok thats enough." Tea said as Sean pulled him out as he breathed hard.
"Learn your lesson?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...You suck." Meelo making him gain a tick mark before shoving his head back down again.
"Somehow I don't think he's ever gonna learn." Mokuba said sweat dropping.
"On that I agree." Seto said.
Later
"So you guys were sent to another universe?" Pema asked as they were inside.
"Yes and Meelo's fault." Sean said making him hide behind his father.
"You better start making sure he doesn't do something stupid again." Joey said.
"Like you're one to talk." Seto said making him growl.
"So now you plan to make a new City?" Pema asked.
"The only way we can bring people back is to make something new." Sean said.
"So what are you gonna call this new City anyway?" Joey asked.
"I was thinking along the lines of New Paradise City." Seto said making Sean chuckle
"Now theres a good one for all of us." Sean said.
Later
Sean was outside looking at the remains of Republic City with a frown.
"It's really sad isn't it?" Korra asked walking next to him.
"Mmm. Aang had high hopes for this place. And Anubis destroyed them in less than a minute when he turned into that thing." Sean said.
"Yeah. But I think he'd agree that this new City would be better. Who knows. Maybe it'll outshine Republic City ten times over." Korra said making him chuckle. "By the way." Korra said as Tea and Ishizu showed up making him raise an eyebrow.
"What are you up to?" Sean asked concerned.
"Oh while we were in the other universe I noticed without a doubt them having feelings for you." Korra teased making him look at her.
"Yeah?" Sean asked making Tea blush while Ishizu smiled lightly.
"What if I suggested a way for them to express how they feel?" Korra asked.
"What in the fuck are you up to?" Sean asked confused.
"A harem?" Korra said making his eyes widen.
"You want to suggest I date them and you?" Sean asked in disbelief making her giggle.
"Come on. Who says no to that?" Korra asked making him open his mouth. "And before you think of saying something think of it as improving relations between this universe and ours." Korra said making him stop.
"She does have a point." Ishizu said.
"I thought you were supposed to be the sane one here?" Sean asked making her giggle.
"Come on at least give it a shot. Whats the harm?" Tea asked smiling.
"Um." Sean tried to say.
"Plus it will get Mana off our backs so much." Korra said making him think on that knowing she would be more pleased to know she'd have more grandkids to spoil when they had them.
Sighing Sean looked at them.
"Ok you win." Sean said making Korra cheer. "But Keep in mind you have to explain this to Tonraq that it was your idea. Not mine." Sean said making her freeze.
"Oh I forgot about that." Korra said sheepish making him smirk.
"I was surprised by her suggestion at first but there are benefits to it." Ishizu said.
"Benefits to us or both universes?" Sean asked making her grin.
"Both." Ishizu said making him sigh lightly knowing his life just took a drastic turn.
