Chapter 32 Southern Festival

It's been a couple months since Sean and Turok dueled against both Weevil and Rex in a new game that was in development. And won of course and burned their decks after Weevil tried to hit Turok with a blade.

Now Paradise City was finally finished looking far more Grand than Republic City ever did.

The only things left to do was to make sure the dueling equipment was completely safe to prevent any unwanted disasters.

Right now however though.

"AHHH!" Joey yelled as he got soaked from a water bucket above him.

This made everyone burst out laughing.

"KAIBA!" Joey yelled.

"Oh please. Why would I bother wasting my time doing that to you?" Seto asked.

"Plus thats too simple for him. He would make it more sophisticated." Sean said leaning on a wall.

"But if you didn't do this who did? Tristan? Duke?" Joey asked looking at them.

"Don't look at us." Duke said.

"Nope." Tristan said before Meelo yelled as Sean grabbed him and held him up.

"Boy?" Sean asked.

"What? I meant it for you." Meelo said bluntly making his eyes twitch.

"He's never gonna learn is he?" Mokuba asked.

"I doubt it." Seto said as Meelo yelled as Sean dragged him to the water and pushed his head in making him scream as he tried to come back up.

"WHY YOU LITTLE!" Joey yelled as Sean pulled him up making him yell as he ran off. "COME HERE YOU BALD HEADED MONKEY!" Joey yelled chasing him.

"Oy. That kid is never gonna change." Sean said with a bag over his shoulder.

"Whats with the bag? You going somewhere?" Duke asked.

"Korra and I are going back to the South for an old festival we always go to. Tea and Ishizu are coming along." Sean said.

"What about the rest of us?" Tristan asked.

"I have to oversee the rest of the game stadium developments so I can't go anyway." Seto said.

"But the rest of ya can...Provided you can put up with Meelo." Sean said as Meelo on an air scooter ran past them with Joey fast on his tail.

"Something tells me he's just gonna make life hell for Joey." Mai deadpanned.

Later

Everyone was on a ship heading for the South.

"I can't believe we're going to some festival in the South. It sounds like fun." Tea said.

"It is. Korra and I always went every year. Minus the one where I was gone because of them thinking I was dead." Sean said.

"I still do not understand that part." Ishizu said.

"Ok then let me simplify this. Think of the White Lotus as Marik's dark side and wanted me dead as a kid." Sean said.

"Why?" Tea asked.

"Ever hear the expression people fear what they do not understand? Well in this case many members felt that way towards me because at the time they didn't know I was a guardian. Even when they did they still wanted me dead because they fear what they don't understand. Despite the fact of what I told them. After I came back an investigation was put into effect and they found a large amount of crimes by the more arrogant members. This caused them to be disbanded and the Ancients took their place." Sean said.

"Oh I get it. So they dug their own grave." Tea said.

"Yup." Korra said.

"So what happened to the White Lotus after?" Ishizu asked.

"No idea. No one has seen its former members for years since the group was disbanded by order of certain leaders." Sean said.

"Ah I'm sure those guys are just desperate for jobs." Korra said.

Later

Soon the ship arrived at the Southern Water Tribe.

"Home sweet home." Korra said as they walked off.

"Man it's freezing." Joey said.

"It's called the Southern Water Tribe Joey. What did you expect?" Mai asked in warmer clothes.

"To be filled with Water not snow." Joey said making everyone sigh.

"Come on." Sean said as they walked off.

While the others were exploring the Tribe before the Festival. Sean and Korra dropped their stuff off at home.

"So hows the construction of the new City going?" Senna asked.

"Nearly finished. Now that the Buildings are finished and the games are in development everything is real close to finally being finished." Korra said.

"And soon it will have people coming by the millions since theres more than enough room for 4 times what Republic City could hold." Sean said.

"Sounds like you two made a new City that will make a lot of people happy." Senna said proud making them grin.

"Oh just doing what we do best." Sean said.

Thats when Sean spotted Tonraq.

"Hey Tonraq. I need to talk to you for a second." Sean said as they walked off.

"Wonder what thats all about?" Korra asked making Senna giggle. "What?" Korra asked.

"Oh nothing." Senna said.

Later

Everyone was at the Festival in full bloom.

"Whoa!" Joey said seeing some games and food stands.

"Ah I love seeing this." Sean said holding Korra close making her giggle.

"Hello my friends!"

Everyone turned seeing Mako Tsunami. (The annoying thing being here is that both Mako from Legend of Korra and Mako from Yugioh sound different but spelled the same)

"Mako Tsunami." Yugi said surprised.

"What are you doing here?" Joey asked as they rushed to him.

"I came to this new universe to start anew. The Water Tribe is indeed full of challenges for me as a fisherman. The the Water Based Ancients are amazing to see." Mako said.

"That much I can believe." Sean said gaining his attention.

"Ah you must be Kruger. I've heard a great deal about you in the short time you've joined Duel monsters and Ancients were added in." Mako said.

"Likewise. Best Ocean duelist I've heard of." Sean said.

Everyone was exploring the Festival having fun.

"Hey check it out." Joey said seeing some duels going on.

"Heh! At this rate the whole world is gonna be full of duelists." Korra said amused.

"That I don't doubt. Who knows maybe it might replace bending." Sean teased making her punch his shoulder making him chuckle.

"ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!" Unalaq roared stopping everyone.

"Oh man. Not again." Joey said before he spotted them and glared.

"This is your fault! All of it!" Unalaq yelled.

"Whats their fault?" Korra asked glaring at them.

"This mockery they've insulted the Ancients with. A pathetic Card game. The Ancients bring balance and wisdom and now they're a mockery." Unalaq said angered.

"They don't feel that way. Like my mother said she finds this more amusing than anything. None of them feel insulted by this. Just you." Sean said making him glare.

"This is exactly why I tried to convince her I should be the one to train you. You are now misguided. You should be spiritually enlightened like myself and far more wise. Zorc's return four months ago is proof enough you need to accept your destiny. Those monsters he created prove that." Unalaq said.

"Zorc didn't create the MUTOS. Those things came from another universe where like in theirs there are no Ancients." Sean said shocking him.

"ABSURD! There are ancients in every universe." Unalaq said.

"No there isn't. Every universe has differences and similarities. But none are exactly the same. Where in this universe the Ancients exist. In the other Meelo sent us to they exist as Duel monster cards. In this new Universe we now know neither exist and instead of Ancients they have Titans who are similar to the Ancients in guiding mankind." Sean said.

"It doesn't matter. This nonsense needs to end now. It's bad enough your rebuilding a City that never should have existed in the first place." Unalaq said pissing him and Korra off.

"And just what is that supposed to mean?" Korra asked.

"The idea of people of different cultures in this world living together is misguided. Avatar Aang made a huge mistake making that pathetic Republic City. Everyone who died there when Anubis attack deserved what happened." Unalaq said.

"What did you just say?" Sean asked glaring at him.

"You heard me. The world is meant to live separately. And when this new City is destroyed like It should I'll be relishing that as a victory. Both for the mockery to the Ancients it represents and for those who die in the rubble." Unalaq said making people glare at him.

"And you wonder why my mother doesn't trust you to train me. Your exactly like Bakura." Sean said shocking him.

"I am nothing like that monster." Unalaq said.

"No? What do you call what you just said. A kindness? This is exactly why I try to avoid you at every turn. You're a cruel and selfish prick who thinks he's better than everyone else because of his status." Sean said.

"Regardless what you may think I'm the only one who can help you achieve your destiny. And I will make that happen wether you like it or not." Unalaq said.

"And just what is that supposed to mean?" Korra asked before former Members of the White Lotus appeared.

"You are coming to the North to be properly trained. And this is not an option." Unalaq said.

"Oh yes it is." Sean said.

"Enough of this!" One said charging at him before Sean's puzzle glowed before they were engulfed in a familiar mist making them yell as they vanished to the Shadow realm much to Unalaq's shock.

"You are everything like Bakura. In every sense of the word. A vile cruel monster who thinks he's better than everyone else. Now get lost." Sean said making him glare.

"I've tried my very best to make you see the power you have. But clearly you're too far gone to see what you could be. A perfect example of enlightenment." Unalaq said.

"Oh go fuck yourself." Sean said shocking him. "I am who I want to be by my choice alone. You're nothing but an annoyance to me and the rest of the world. Now just buzz off." Sean said making him frown before leaving.

"That guy pisses me off." Joey said.

"Mmm." Sean said as the group walked off.

Sean looked around seeing the gang playing carnival games before smirking.

'Perfect.' Sean said before taking The girls somewhere else.

"If you're taking us somewhere to make out you could have just said so." Korra teased making Ishizu giggle while Tea blushed.

"Please. Thats your thing not mine." Sean said making her giggle.

Soon the four were at a cliff.

"Sean, Why exactly are we here?" Tea asked making him smirk.

"I need you three to close your eyes." Sean said confusing them. "Just do it." Sean said making them do so.

"I don't what your up to but..." Korra said.

"Korra ever since we were kids we've always been close. And 2 years ago we finally started dating and those were the best days of my life." Sean said making her smile. "And ever since I met you two things have been even better. We've all been through a lot. Fighting off evil spirits and darker versions of those we care. Dueling and much more. I'm glad Korra came up with this harem thing." Sean said making them smile. "Theres just one thing missing." Sean said making Korra scoff.

"Oh please. And whats that?" Korra asked.

"Open your eyes and find out." Sean said making them do so.

Only to gasp seeing Sean on his knees with three hand carved necklaces in hand each with the Millennium symbol.

"Korra, Tea, Ishizu...Will you three marry me?" Sean asked making them tear up.

"Yes." They said before he stood up and put them on their necks.

"Hows it look?" Sean asked.

"Perfect." Korra said.

"I should have figured you'd make the Millennium symbols on them." Tea said holding her's.

"What else would I put?" Sean asked making her smile kissing him.

"It works." Tea said making him grin.
