Chapter 45 Self Destruction
Dartz had a deep frown on his face as he had observed the battles between the six.
"Master? Whats wrong?" Rafael asked.
"Both Kruger and the Pharoh won their duels as did Wheeler and the avatar. But no souls were collected from our new recruits." Dartz said shocking him.
"But thats impossible." Rafael said.
"Not entirely. I warned you the Ancients have powers that can overpower the great Leviathan. Anything in the God Level Section can destroy the seal preventing us from claiming a soul. Which means we gained nothing from employing those fools." Dartz said displeased.
"But they can try again." Rafael said.
"No. The Seals they had were completely destroyed. Both of them are useless now." Dartz said standing up. "However both Kruger and the Pharaoh have vanished when the train crashed. I need you to find them." Dartz said.
"It will be done." Rafael said.
Meanwhile
Sean groaned as he sat up in some tent holding his head.
"Stupid cocksucker mother fucker." Sean said.
"Are you all right?" Yami asked also in the tent.
"Lousy. The next time I see Weevil I'm either killing him or sending him to the Shadow realm. He doesn't care who dies or gets hurt as long as he gets what he wants." Sean said.
"I know. Where are we?" Yami asked.
"Last thing I remember was someone standing over us before I passed out." Sean said. (To the Guest who made the Obi-Wan Reference NICE! I didn't think of that when he said Hello there)
Thats when Tea groaned as she sat up.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. But where..." Tea tried to ask before a silver haired wolf ran in and pounced her.
"Hey!" Sean said before Tea started laughing as the wolf licked her before doing the same to Yami before rushing to Sean who chuckled.
"Skye!"
Sean and Yami turned seeing a little girl walk.
"Thats no way to treat our guests. Sorry if she woke you up."
"No problem. We were already awake." Sean said.
"Who are you?" Yami asked.
"You can call me Chris. And this is Skye." Chris said looking at the Wolf.
Out by the River where the group landed an old man was looking at the Cards that fell from Sean's duel disk before he found one in particular.
"How Curious."
The card he was holding was the Blue Eyes Shinning dragon that Pegasus made months ago like the Rainbow Dragon.
Thats when the others approached him.
"I remember you. You were the one above us before we passed out." Sean said.
"Glad I could help. I believe this belongs to you." He said handing him his cards.
"Thank you." Sean said before noticing the Eye of Timaeus in his deck.
"I couldn't help but notice you have the Legendary Eye of Timaeus. The only one of its kind."
"Keep it. I'm not worthy of it." Yami said.
"You seriously have got to get over what happened. I told you. Humans make mistakes. We're not perfect. And we're not meant to be perfect." Sean said.
"I think I can help out with that. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ironheart. And I believe you've already met Chris and Skye." Ironheart said.
"What are you guys doing all the way out here?" Sean asked.
"Traveling. Now follow me." Irohheart said leading them
Later
The group was traveling the cliffs real close the ledge to go somewhere.
"Where exactly are we going?" Sean asked.
"Patience my young friend." Ironheart said.
Thats when Tea almost fell down had Sean not caught her.
"I got ya." Sean said making her sigh in relief before they continued.
"Our destination is not much further." Ironheart said.
"So what exactly are we doing?" Sean asked.
"Your friend there must learn to move past his mistake. And the only place to do that is where the spirits dwell. You see, my people believe that human souls exist all around." Ironheart said before they came to some kind of site seeing it filled with mist.
"This place is creepy." Tea said.
"No worse than the Shadow Realm." Sean said.
"So what do we need to do?" Sean asked.
"Not we. Him. He must enter the sacred circle on his own. After all, this is his journey." Ironheart said before Yami went in.
"Sean I don't like this." Tea said.
"He needs to forgive himself for what he did. It's the only way he'll move past what happened." Sean said.
Yami walked through the mist before strange balls of light appeared surprising him.
"The hell are those?" Sean asked.
"Lost souls from his past." Ironheart said.
Appearing in front of Yami were those who he defeated in the past. Panik, The Paradox brothers, Keith, Rare Hunters and so on up to Weevil.
Arriving at the circle however thats when they began to form together before someone appeared.
To his shock it was Yugi.
"Hey, it's Yugi!" Tea yelled about to run down but Sean stopped him.
"No it isn't." Sean said confusing her.
"I don't understand." Tea said.
"Yugi had his soul taken by the Seal. I don't think it can just come out so easily. More importantly why not tell him where he and the others who had their souls captured are so we can free them?" Sean asked making her widen her eyes.
"But if thats not Yugi...Who is that?" Tea asked.
"It's part of him" Ironheart said. "In order for the Pharaoh to move forward he must face what he has done and accept what he did. Otherwise he'll never be able to stop the rising darkness that comes." Ironheart said.
"Your not who you say you are, are you?" Sean asked.
"There is much you do not yet understand. What it is that comes has come once before...And how it came to be and how it survived for so many years." Ironheart before Yami and Yugi started to duel.
"What are they doing?" Tea asked.
"Like I said. He needs to move on. And the only way to do that is to face the one he lost." Ironheart said.
"Hmm." Sean said.
Yugi and Yami's life points went to 4000.
"I'll star things off. By summoning one monster face down on the field!" Yugi said as it appeared face down. "Now lets see what you got. Unless you're too scared." Yugi taunted making him frown.
"My move." Yami said drawing his cards.
"I summon Gazelle, King of Mythical beasts!" Yami said as his monster appeared and snarled.

"Attack his face down card!" Yami ordered as his monster did just that.
Only it was the same monster.
"What?" Yami asked shocked.
"Strange. He had the same card on the field. I think they got card for card in hand." Sean said.
"We're both holding the same cards, aren't we?" Yami asked.
"Lets find out." Yugi said drawing his next card. "I'll summon another card face down." Yugi said making Yami frown.
"My move. I play Alpha the Magnet Warrior in Attack mode." Yami said as his monster appeared.

"And then I play Polymerization to fuse Gazelle with Berfomet to summon Chimera the Flying Mythical beast." Yami said as his fusion monster appeared.

"Now Alpha attack his face down monster!" Yami ordered as Alpha slashed his monster which revealed to be a Sangan before he attacked him directly with Chimera bringing Yugi's life points down to 1900.
'Strange. If we have the same hand why didn't Yugi play monster Reborn to bring back Sangan before I attacked again? Is he playing a different strategy or he is toying with me?' Yami asked.
"When you destroyed my Sangan, you activated its special ability. Which lets me pick a card from my deck and then shuffle." Yugi said doing just that.
"I'm aware." Yami said.
"Hmm." Sean said before going down.
"Wait." Chris said.
"I'll be fine. Tea stay here." Sean said going down to them.
"I place one card face down then Play Card destruction. Now we discard out entire hand and redraw the same number of cards we just sent to the Graveyard." Yugi said.
"Why?" Yami asked as Sean was right behind him.
"So I can start over and this way you can't cheat knowing what I got." Yugi said.
"He's not wrong." Sean said making him face him.
"What are you doing down here?" Yami asked.
"Observing. I know what this is about. Just keep your mind on the duel and so will you soon enough." Sean said.
"Why are you acting like this Yugi?" Yami asked.
"I'm just a reflection of you!" Yugi said.
"What do you mean, Yugi?" Yami asked.
"Isn't it obvious? He's acting the same way as you did when you used the seal." Sean said shocking him.
"Yugi, I wish I could take it back." Yami said.
"Too late. You've already shown me who you really are...An Evil Pharaoh who cares only about himself! Face the Facts. You didn't care what happened to me so long as you had power." Yugi said.
"Yeah this is not the real Yugi. He would never say that." Sean said to himself.
"Now it's my turn." Yugi said.
"Yugi wait! Are you holding the card I think you are!" Yami asked.
"It sounds like your starting to catch on." Yugi said.
"Hmm." Sean said.
"This duel is a chance for you to look at yourself from the outside. And theres only one card that can make that happen." Yugi said.
"Yugi wait!" Yami begged.
"I play the seal of Orichalcos!" Yugi said playing it as it appeared on the field. "Now its payback time for taking my soul!" Yugi said.
"This is a mistake!" Yami said.
"I said the same thing before you played it and you didn't listen to me! Why should I listen to you?" Yugi asked making him look down before drawing his new hand since he had discarded his old one. "Now I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Dark Magician Girl!" Yugi said as she appeared.
"Oh mom." Sean said annoyed.

"And thanks to the Seal they get even stronger." Yugi said as the seal appeared on them and increased their attack points by 500.
"Now attack his monsters!" Yugi ordered as they destroyed his monsters with ease making him lose 900 life points.
"I use Chimera's speciality ability to summon Berfomet in Defense mode." Yami said as he appeared in defense mode.

"Big deal? What else have you got?" Yugi asked.
"I've got this. I summon Big Shield Gardna." Yami said summoning his greatest defense.

"Somehow I doubt thats gonna hold." Sean said.
"I play Queen's knight in attack mode. And then I play Magic Formula to increase Dark Magician Girl's attack by 500 bringing it up to 3000." Yugi said shocking him.

"Queen's knight attack Berfomet and Dark Magician Girl attack Big Shield Gardna!" Yugi ordered as Yami's monsters were destroyed. "And now Celtic Guardian attack his life points directly!" Yugi ordered as Yami grunted losing 1900 life points.

"It won't be long now, Pharaoh!" Yugi said.
"You gonna let him kick you around or you gonna man up and win this? Cause if you lose you'll never be able to save him." Sean said.
"I know I..." Yami tried to say.
"Then stop feeling sorry for yourself and win this duel and prove Rafael wrong about yourself that your no evil Pharaoh and that you did save the world 5000 years ago." Sean said making him narrow his eyes and nods.
"My Move." Yami said drawing his card. "I place one card face down and summon Giant Soldier of Stone in defense mode." Yami said as his defense monster appeared.

"Next I activate Swords of Revealing light." Yami said as they appeared. 'This gives me three turns to turn this around.' Yami said.
"Your swords mean nothing. I have the card that can blast right through them!" Yugi said as he sacrificed Celtic Guardian to summon Catapult Turtle.

"It's almost exactly like what I did last time." Yami said.
"Exactly. So it's time for you to experience the consequences of your own evil. I sacrifice my queen's knight to attack you with Catapult Turtle." Yugi said as she got on the Turtle before it fired her at Yami who groaned losing more life points.

"One more attack and its all over." Yugi said as Dark Magician Girl appeared on the Catapult before firing.
"NO! I'm sorry Yugi but you leave me no choice! I activate the Trap Card Divine Wind!" Yami said as his attack was reflected right back at him.
"He did it!" Yugi said before yelling as he got hit.
"What have I done!" Yami asked in horror.
"Will you relax." Sean said confusing him. "This was a test to defeat the Darkness within you. I told you before. You need to move past what you did. And this was the only way to do so." Sean said.
"He's right." Yugi said standing up. "Sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. And I know you'll make this right." Yugi said vanishing.
"I'll never understand why you can be so forgiving to those who commit acts like mine." Yami said.
"You never judged Seto fully for his actions so why should I for you?" Sean asked making him nod. "Humans are complicated creatures. We do things that sometimes we're not proud of. Have difficulties telling the difference between order and Chaos. But there is always hope for us." Sean said making him nod.
"Your right. And its time I made amends for what I did." Yami said.
Thats when Sean sensed something and snarled.
"What is it?" Yami asked before they both looked seeing Rafael before suddenly some strange creature appeared with the seal on its head.
Thats when the spirits surrounded them.
"The past." The spirits said before both saw images of the past showing monsters like the one in front of them facing off against what looked like Duel monsters led by Chris and Ironheart.
"The ancient war. This thing was part of it thousands of years ago." Sean said as it tried to strike them but they quickly dodged.
Thats when the seal surrounded them.
"Nice knowing you both." Rafael said before Sean had his Duel Disk activated.
"Lets see if this works again." Sean said about to summon a God Level Ancient.
"Wait." Yami said stopping him. "Allow me to handle this." Yami said.
"Your call." Sean said as it summoned a monster of its own that only had 400 attack points. but increased by 500 thanks to the seal.
"I summon Gazele and Berfomet and then fuse them together to make Chimera." Yami said as his two headed monster appeared before slashing this weaker one to nothing.
"Wait thats way too easy." Sean said as it came back from the ground and roared before gaining more attack points.
"It's back. Chimera!" Yami ordered as it was destroyed again.
Only it came right back again.
"Stop doing that. Brute force ain't the answer." Sean said as they dodged a strike from it.
"Then perhaps magic will work. I play my fissure magic card." Yami said as it was destroyed. "It worked." Yami said.
Only for it to come back and was even stronger.
"You and your big mouth." Sean said before they recieved more visions of the past seeing Timaeus along with the other two legendary dragons fighting some massive monster that roared loudly at them.
"Whatever happened in ancient times is most likely happening again." Yami said before the vision ended.
Sean drew his cards before holding both the Eye of Timeaus and the Blue Eyes Shinning dragon.
"Yami." Sean said throwing his card back. "Now's a good time to see if you've earned his trust back." Sean said making him nod before narrowing his eyes at this beast.
"I summon the eye of Timaeus!" Yami said as the legendary Dragon appeared and roared loudly.
"And I summon the Blue eyes shinning dragon." Sean said as it appeared and roared loudly into the air.
"Combine!" Both yelled as they fused together.
Timaeus appeared in the Shinning Dragon's armor with incredible power as he roared loudly into the air.
"Shinning Timaeus! End this monster!" Yami ordered as his armor powered up before blasting this monster and it's master to nothing and destroyed the seal.
Rafael groaned from the impact of the blast before seeing the two standing.
"So they survived. Good. It means I can end them myself." Rafael said.
Later
"Hey where are Ironheart and Chris?" Tea asked not seeing them.
"They aren't here. They never were. Look." Sean said finding some old carving showing the two along with the three legendary dragons. "They were just spirits waiting for us. But this leaves me with more questions. Like how was this Leviathan defeated and where did it come from?" Sean asked.
"We'll find our answers to that soon enough. Right now though I fear things are only going to get worse." Yami said.
"Yeah. And something tells me Dartz is more dangerous than we realized." Sean said.
Authors Note: Now that was intense with the last battle combining the two dragons. If only that card existed it would be amazing. Now Next Chapter Seto and Turok face off against Alister.
