Chapter 51 End of an old Era
Its been a couple weeks since Sean and his wives returned from the Ancients world to relax from all the hell they've been through.
Now things were getting back to normal again.
KaibaCorp was in the middle of making a new dueling game known as Turbo duels.
Sean would be testing that soon enough after all the bugs were worked out.
Right now Sean and Korra were heading for Air Temple island.
"Ah. It feels good to have things back to normal." Sean said.
"Except Raiko is still being a pain." Korra said making him snort.
That was true.
Raiko had kept trying to convince people to support him to put him back in office so that they could go to war with the other universe but no one was supporting him since they liked the way things were much to his anger.
Arriving on the island they headed for Tenzin's home.
However they spotted Pema looking depressed much to their confusion.
"Pema?" Sean asked getting her attention.
"Oh hey you two. I didn't know you were coming." Pema said trying to be cheerful.
"We came for a quick visit. Whats the matter? The kids being a pain again or Just Meelo?" Sean asked making her giggle lightly.
"No...The kids are fine...It's well." Pema tried to say.
"Pema? Whats wrong?" Korra asked concerned.
"Um...Korra I think you should head inside. Theres something you need to hear." Pema said making them more concerned before they went inside.
Inside the house they saw Tenzin and his siblings gathered around a table.
"Ok now I'm really concerned. Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"Um...Korra you should sit down." Tenzin said as they sat down.
"Tenzin...Your scaring me here. Whats going on?" Korra asked.
"It's about our mother." Kya said.
"What do you mean? Is something wrong?" Korra asked concerned
"Well...You know she's very old now. And because of this...She's gotten very weak lately. The Doctors think...Her time is almost up." Tenzin said shocking her.
"How...Long?" Sean asked holding Korra close.
"We're not sure. We were just about to go and get you two to tell you both." Kya said.
Later
Everyone was heading to the South on either a Jet, Oogi or flying Ancients.
Sean was on Tyrant Dragon with Korra next to him.
"It's gonna be ok Korra. Who knows she may pull through this since she has survived two wars after all." Sean said.
"No...I think we both know whats going to happen. Your just trying to cheer me and I do appreciate that. I really do. But I think we both know whats about to happen." Korra said
"You never know. Life is full of surprises. I'm living proof of that when I came out of the ice." Sean said making her smile lightly as he held her close. "It's gonna be ok." Sean said.
Soon the group landed down before Tenzin and his family rushed inside while the others got off their perspective rides.
"Mom, Dad." Korra said hugging them.
"It's ok Korra." Senna said.
"How is she?" Sean asked.
"It...Doesn't look good." Senna said sadly.
"Hey I just thought of this. Sean, why don't you just use your magic to heal her?" Joey asked.
"Yeah, She'd be better in no time." Tristan said.
"Do you dorks really think its that simple?" Seto asked.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Joey asked ticked off.
"He means its not that simple. True I could heal her...The question however is though...Would she want me to do so?" Sean asked.
"I don't get it. Why wouldn't she?" Tea asked.
"Because she's lost a lot over the years. Her Husband, Her brother and a lot of her friends are gone. Whats better? Living in a world without them or living in a world beyond with them?" Sean asked.
"I get it. You mean to say she might want to move on in this world. And rejoin those she's lost in the last 18 years." Yami said.
"Exactly. All we can do however though is accept what happens." Sean said as Korra rushed inside making him sigh.
He knew exactly how much Katara meant to her since she's known her for just as long as she has him since he came out of the ice. The idea of losing her was heartbreaking to her and knew it would send her into a seat of depression for a time.
Still Sean knew she wouldn't make him do anything to help her against her will since it wasn't in her nature to do something like that.
Heading inside Sean saw her waiting outside her room holding her legs making him sigh as he walked to her before he sat down and held her.
"It's gonna be ok." Sean said making her let out a shuddering breath as she held him close.
Later
Sean and Korra waited for a while before Tenzin and his siblings walked out as they stood up.
"How is she?" Korra asked.
Tenzin tried to speak but couldn't as Bumi held him knowing how hurt he was by this.
"It...It doesn't look good." Kya said trying not to crack up.
"She's...Waiting for you Korra." Tenzin said as they left.
Korra stood outside Katata's room before Sean held her shoulder.
"It's all right. I'll be at the hut." Sean said.
"Your not coming?" Korra asked surprised.
"This is between you and her." Sean said as he walked off making her sigh as she walked inside.
Inside the room Korra saw Katara laying on a bed looking so weak and exhausted.
The very sight broke Korra's heart to see her mentor like this.
"Korra." Katara said weakly.
"Katara." Korra said sitting next to her.
"How are you dear? I hope your enjoying your marriage." Katara said making her smile.
She remembered how she greatly enjoyed the time she had with Sean and the others after the wedding. At one point she would have just thought it would be them alone but after she met Tea and Ishizu she was happy things worked the way they did.
"Yeah. I always figured Sean and I would get married one day together. Just not with some others from another universe." Korra said making her smile.
"Life works in many strange and beautiful ways. I learned that a long time ago." Katara said making her nod. "So are your parents expecting Grandkids soon?" Katara asked making her blush.
"Oh not you too!" Korra said annoyed making her giggle before coughing. "Seriously I blame Mona for this." Korra said.
"Sorry. I couldn't help it. But believe me from experience that having children in a marriage is the best part." Katara said making her smile lightly while rubbing her arm. "Is there something you wanna say?" Katara asked.
"Um...I've been getting a little sick lately since we got back from the ancients world. It's probably nothing but..." Korra tried to say.
"You think you might be expecting don't you?" Katara asked making her nod. "Let me have a look." Katara said.
"I don't think your in any condition to..." Korra tried to say.
"I know when I can and can't do something. Now let me look." Katara said making her sigh before getting closer.
Katara used Water from a vase to inspect her abdomen before she found what she was looking for making her smile.
"It's very strong." Katara said making her widen her eyes. "You weren't planning to have any yet were you?" Katara asked.
"Honestly no. Sean and I both agreed not to try till we were in our 20's or until Bakura was defeated for good. But I used protection spells to prevent this." Korra said making her smile.
"Not everything goes according to plan. Some things are meant to happen for a reason. You don't think its a mistake now do you?" Katara asked.
"Course not. I just wasn't expecting to have one just yet. But...I can make it work." Korra said smiling as she held her stomach.
"Tell him when your ready." Katara said as her doctors walked in as Korra hugged her.
"Aang misses you." Korra said making her smile.
"I know. He'll be seeing me soon enough." Katara said as Korra left holding her stomach.
Later
Korra arrived in her home seeing Sean asleep on the bed before he woke up seeing her.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...She's dying." Korra said sitting next to him.
"She might still pull through this since..." Sean tried to say.
"No. You didn't see her. She's weak and real close to it." Korra said as he held her close making her sigh. "I'm gonna miss her real bad." Korra said.
"I know. But think of it this way. What she taught you stays with you forever. And you'll always remember her for the good times she's given you." Sean said making her smile as she kissed him before getting out of her clothes getting into bed with him.
"I love you." Korra said making him smile.
"I love you too. And I promise everything is going to be just fine." Sean said as he felt her tears on his chest as he held her.
Later during the night Katara peacefully passed away in her sleep. Reunited with those she loved.
a Month Later
"What the hell is this?" Sean asked seeing some new device.
"Its something My company has been working on for medical purposes." Asami said.
"Oh yeah? Whats it do?" Joey asked before he was hit with a Green light. "HEY! WHAT IS THIS! I DON'T WANNA SHRINK!" Joey yelled like crazy making Tea sigh.
"I seriously need more female friends." Tea said.
"You always say that." Sean said. "So what does it do?" Sean asked before a chart appeared showing Joey's weight, height, heartbeat rate and so on.
"This can show us more about ourselves than we currently know." Asami said before aiming at Korra who looked nervous.
"Uh wait a minute here." Korra said before it scanned her showing her statistics before it said extra heart beat detected which confused them.
"Extra heart beat?" Seto asked before it hit him. "Are you Pregnant?" Seto asked making her chuckle sheepishly.
"Korra? Is that true?" Sean asked.
"I uh...I've been meaning to tell you." Korra said making him raise an eyebrow.
"How long have you known?" Sean asked making her sigh.
"A month." Korra said shocking them.
"You knew for a month and you didn't say anything?" Sean asked.
"I was trying to find a way to tell you but I didn't know what to say." Korra said making him shake his head in amusement.
"You are so hopeless." Sean said holding her close as she smiled.
"Wait a second." Asami said looking through the heart beats before snickering.
"Whats so funny?" Sean asked.
"Um...How do you feel about having four in one go?" Korra asked shocking them.
"Come again?" Korra asked.
"It shows four extra heartbeats. Meaning your pregnant with Quadruplets." Asami said making Korra widen her eyes as she stuttered for a minutes before fainting in Sean's arms.
"You couldn't have broken that to her a little more gently?" Sean asked making her and the others laugh.
Meanwhile
Mana was going over Bakura's sightings when.
"MOM!" Sean roared making her blink as he crashed through a wall. "WHAT DID YOU DO!" Sean roared.
"Huh? What do you mean...AHHH!" Mana yelled as he nearly smashed her.
"Don't play games with me! I know you did something while the four of us were here a month ago. It's obvious since Korra's pregnant now!" Sean yelled.
"Huh? You mean you two are?" Mana tried to say before smiling as she held him. "Oh I'm so proud! I'm getting Grandchildren!" Mana yelled.
"You mean you didn't do anything?" Sean asked.
"Course not. Why would you think that?" Mana asked.
"Cause Korra and I used magic to prevent this." Sean said.
"Oh well for Humans some magic tends to weaken. I guess I forgot to mention that since I never thought you two would do it here." Mana said.
"Yeah well she's expecting four in one go." Sean said.
"Oh." Mana said before giggling.
Later
Sean sighed as he held Korra close as they were outside looking at the stars.
"Well...I may not have planned for four but I can live with it since theres four of us to handle this." Korra said holding her stomach.
"Yeah. Might not have been planned but some of the best things in life were unplanned." Sean said making her smile.
Authors Note: And with that Korra is now Pregnant with FOUR kids this time around. At least Tea and Ishizu will help them to make sure they can handle them. Next Chapter we get into season 3 and boy do I have something special planned for it. Read, Review, Fav and Follow.
