Gohan sighed as he saw the look in Karen's eyes he turned and looked at Zeldora who was smirking. 'She has no idea does she?' He thought as Karen turned and walked towards the exit of the palace.
"Where are you going?" Gohan asked.
"To fight." Karen didn't stop as she walked, Zeldora passed him and walked out as well and Gohan just sighed and snap vanished and appeared next to Karen.
"You know you don't have to do this right?"
"I am aware." She answered. "But this is a pride thing."
"Nothing you say will change my mind."
"You know that they will turn this into a spectacle right?" Gohan asked and Karen nodded.
"I would hope so." She answered as Gohan just sighed and stopped walking and watched her and smiled.
"Don't worry my lord I won't hurt her too much." Zeldora said as she walked walked past Gohan who just shook his head, he was a little angry with this turn of events but even if he wanted to stop it Karen would never let him, he understood how she felt about it as well.
King Vegeta and Bardock walked up to Gohan and Bardock chuckled at the sight. "You seem to have your hands full don't you?"
"It will prove interesting I suppose." King Vegeta spoke. "However I doubt you will change your mind regardless of the outcome?"
Gohan just nodded. "Indeed, she is already carrying my child." Gohan revealed as King Vegeta and Bardock couldn't believe their ears and just started laughing.
Gohan turned and stared at them with a sour expression but the two just couldn't hold it in as Gohan sighed and chuckled as well.
"Let us follow them." King Vegeta followed as he exited the palace.
When they exited they saw Karen waiting outside with a stern face. "So where are we fighting anyway?"
"This way- the arena." King Vegeta answered as he turned to a Saiyan. "Let it be known that the mate of the Saiyan God will be fighting Captain Zeldora for the right to bear his seed."
"Seed?" Gohan asked bewildered.
"Is he wrong?" Bardock asked with a smirk. "Well to be fair the one has already gotten it."
Gohan turned slightly red in the face as he rolled his eyes. "Who do you suppose will win this bout?" King Vegeta asked Bardock who shrugged.
"I am uncertain, on one hand I know how powerful Zeldora is, however, I do distinctly remember Lord Gohans mate catching our planet with her bare hands." Bardock answered.
"Well I suppose we will be in for quite a show then." King Vegeta answered.
Karen who could hear this conversation just scowled her ears were slightly red but nothing major as she followed King Vegeta and the rest.
Gohan flew up next to her and smiled at her which she promptly ignored as they arrived at the arena Gohan just lightly shook his head at her antics Zeldora on the other hand did not take lightly to it.
She sneered at the sight as Bardock flew next to her. "I know I told Lord Gohan I wouldn't hurt her too much but she really makes me mad." Zeldora growled.
"I understand your frustrations Zeldora, however, do not underestimate her." Bardock shared.
Zeldora nodded. "I know, in fact there is a possibility she is far, far more powerful than I but I want to see for myself the strength that Lord Gohan is attracted to and how far I have to go before he will take me seriously."
Bardock said nothing as he looked forward again. 'I just wish you would see there is a man who is hopelessly chasing after you, but now that he is no longer lingering around you I suppose he moved on.' Bardock thought as Saperos flashed through his mind. 'But nothing can be done about it I suppose, Lord Gohan is the only man alive who is more powerful than she is so he would be her ideal choice.'
When they arrived the arena was already full of viewers many Elites and Super Elite females watching from the side with stern expressions on their faces a few Super Elites were seated in the same box King Vegeta and Gohan arrived, they bowed and stood behind their King, god and General.
"It seems we have interrupted a ranking match." Bardock commented.
"Ranking match?" Gohan asked.
"Indeed due to the many Saiyans who wish to be personally trained by your lordship a makeshift ranking system fell into place by chance and now Saiyans are ranked according to their battle prowess and power level, if your power level is higher you will be higher up however you can challenge a Saiyan with a higher ranking to take their place, power levels are just a foundation for the system so battles are done to determine who is truly at the top." Bardock answered.
"Is that so?" Gohan said somewhat impressed by their ingenuity.
"It goes without saying that Zeldora is currently number 1 as the legendary super saiyan, followed by myself as the king of saiyans." King Vegeta answered, the pride in his voice evident.
Gohan nodded. "Who are currently the top 10?" Gohan asked.
"Zeldora, King Vegeta, myself, Super Elite Saperos, Super Elite Yasai, Super Elite Eshalot, Super Elite Liss, Elite Narma, Super Elite Kahlif and 1st Class Seripa, in that order. " Bardock answered.
"It was a great surprise to see one elite and a 1st Class saiyan to make it into the top ten strongest fighting warriors of New Vegeta." King Vegeta said. "I say this because we have about a hundred super elites and a thousand elites and ten thousand 1st class saiyans."
"By my understanding being a Super Elite is not because you are inherently powerful it's because of your parents being Super Elite." Gohan spoke and Bardock nodded.
"Elite Narma and 1st Class Seripa are just incredibly powerful warriors, years of service honed their skills and power to where it is now." Bardock explained. "By that definition I myself am a 3rd Class Saiyan warrior." Bardock explained, even though it was a phenomenal achievement his voice didn't seem to carry any hint of pride which made him seem even greater, simply, he knew that he would become powerful enough to lead the Saiyan army ever since he was a child and never doubted it.
"In fact Super Elite Saperos is in this very box behind you along with a few others," Bardock said as Gohan turned and saw five people, they all saluted at Gohan who just nodded as he sensed their ki.
"Impressive and you are?" Gohan asked as he looked at the other person who was next to Saperos.
"Elite Narma my lord!" The female saiyan answered, she was somewhat short with long black hair and black saiyan armor that complimented her pale skin, she was quite beautiful as well.
"What brings you to the arena today?" He asked.
"Just spectating the battles with Super Elite Saperos my lord!" She answered.
"Your number 8." Gohan answered as he nodded and smiled. "You are strong I suppose, but your power level is actually not among the highest of the ten maybe around the rank hundred and that's me being kind." Gohan said as he sensed all the power levels on New Vegeta.
The surrounding saiyans looked at Narma in surprise and a few eyes seemed to take delight in the words.
Elite Narma's fist clenched at the comment. 'What? I fought the hardest battles of my life to be where I am! I don't care if he is a god! It's no fluke that I am rank 8!' Her blood boiled at the comment but she dared not open her mouth.
"I find it somewhat hard to believe that you a nobody with such a mediocre power level would reach such heights, did you cheat perhaps?" Gohan asked as her jaw clenched, King Vegeta and Bardock kept quiet as they watched the exchange Bardock was very surprised at this turn of events, neither willing to say anything as Gohan seemed to be serious.
'I didn't think Lord Gohan would be so forthright with his words.' Bardock thought.
The surrounding Saiyans seemed to whisper among themselves but Super Elite Saperos spoke. "My lord Elite Narma is a great warrio-" He didn't get to finish as Gohan looked at him.
"I am talking to Elite Narma, it would be best to stay your tongue Super Elite." Gohan said
"It's alright Saperos- I, Elite Narma reached my rank through my own merit! I fought countless battles to reach where I am and-" She was cut off.
"I am not asking for your life story I am asking if you cheated." Gohan pressed. "I will be paying the 1st class warrior a visit as well, it is impossible for you two to have reached where you are without some underhanded tactics." Gohan spoke as he glared at her. "A true warrior would never lose to someone with such a puny power level you must have cheated."
Elite Narma felt a warm liquid drip off her knuckles as she clenched her fist in anger at the words as her energy fluctuated at the words.
Saperos stared at her as his opinion of Lord Gohan dropped considerably, he knew better than anyone because he trained with her, he even helped her grow as a warrior, the surrounding Super Elites seemed to be taking delight in her misery.
"You think I care about you!? You can take your training and shove it up your arse!" Elite Narma yelled at Gohan in anger as she transformed shocking everyone. "I don't care if you are a god, I fought and bled for my achievements and trained longer than any of those Super Elites to get better at fighting and to grow as a warrior even if my power level is not as high as a Super Elite I can for damn sure make them eat dirt 100% of the time, so you can suck a dick you prick! And for your information Mr god power levels do not dictate the caliber of a warrior only fools believe that!" She growled as it went quiet a few seconds went by and she realized she had burst, she had only seen red when she broke.
Her blood suddenly drained from her face as she. 'Oh fuck…' She thought as she steeled herself, she was sure she would die that very moment. 'I guess all the training and sacrifices were for nothing.' She thought as she lowered her head.
Just as things were about to erupt laughter broke out from Gohan as he walked up to her. "I couldn't have said it better myself Elite Narma…or should I say my 1st apprentice, that's if you still want it of course?" He asked as she stared at him dumbfounded.
"I don't understand?" She said as Gohan pointed at her hair.
"You have immense potential, I could sense it so I pushed you and I was right." She was still confused.
"Narma…" Saperos said as he handed her a scouter and she saw a very high power level. "Who's power is that?" She asked as he pointed at her.
"Me?" She asked.
"You were on the verge of ascending so I pushed you a little I am sorry for that, and for the record I completely agree with what you said." Gohan said. "Congratulations on being the first Saiyan of New Vegeta to reach the next level of evolution: Super Saiyan 2." He said as static electricity jumped around her lightly.
She stared at her hands and looked at Saperos who was smiling her. "You are now one step closer to your dream." Saperos smiled at her.
'I have the second highest power level on New Vegeta!?' She thought as excitement rushed through her. 'Maybe now?' She thought as she powered down, her long black hair dropping. 'No not yet…'
"What do you say? Do you want to continue your training with me?" Gohan asked as she stared at him with wonder in her eyes and nodded vehemently.
Saperos watched with a smile on his face as a thought dawned on him. 'I suppose she will now hopelessly fall in love with Lord Gohan as well.' He mentally sighed and looked at Gohan. 'One day I will become powerful enough to not be so easily forgotten.' He thought. 'Just you wait!'
He knew he was cursed with strength high enough to be at the apex of the universe unfortunately that meant that he would be competing with those at the same level and even greater, if he was born weaker he wouldn't have this problem but competing at this level was incredibly difficult almost impossible.
'The search for a mate begins again.' He thought.
"Great!" Gohan smiled as he turned and saw the looks on everyones faces.
"For a second I thought you were being serious my Lord." Bardock said as Gohan chuckled.
Narma turned to Saperos and smiled. "I guess I am stronger than you now huh?" She smirked as he just rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Not for long, I will be back training twice as hard!" He said as she turned and walked towards Gohan, Saperos made his way back to where he stood and relaxed as he stared at the arena waiting for the battle to begin, his eyes glancing one last time at Narma.
Karen and Zeldora flew to the center. "Now that that is over, are you ready?" Karen asked as she glared at the Saiyan who dared question her place.
"Since the day I laid eyes on Lord Gohan." She taunted which seemed to piss Karen off even more.
"At this point I feel like a piece of meat." Gohan commented as he watched from above with Bardock, King Vegeta, Narma and a few super elites among which included Super Elite Saperos.
"I do admire Zeldora's resolve to challenge Lord Gohan's mate." Narma said.
"Are the combatants ready?" King Vegeta called out to which they both nodded.
"You might want to transform I wouldn't want to accidentally kill you." Karen said.
"I wouldn't worry about anyone other than myself if I were you." She said as her eyes turned to a muddy brown before shining golden.
Gohan leaned forward in surprise. "She found a way to merge and share motor functions as a single being?" Gohan said.
"So that's what she was doing." Bardock muttered as he smirked.
Karen shrugged. "Your funeral."
"Begin!" King Vegeta commanded from above as they both charged forward.
Karen threw a punch at Zeldora who simply tilted her head to the side and unleashed a lightning fast jab into her solar plexus the moment it made contact a violent shockwave erupted and shook the arena causing the Saiyans to scream in excitement.
Karen stared at Zeldora who was grinning at her only for her eyes to widen as she backed up. "How are you still standing?"
Karen finally put her fist down and wiped the metaphorical dust off of her stomach. "Don't tell me that's the hardest you can hit?" She mocked.
Zeldora growled at the taunt as she powered up and transformed into a Super Saiyan her hair now a light green and a green aura enveloping her.
"We'll just see about that!" She charged at Karen this time far faster than before when she arrived the two collided and traded blows Karen turned and avoided the punch as she threw a punch of her own.
Zeldora raised her arm to block the punch but at the last second her instinct told her to avoid the fist at all costs- which she did the blow missed her by an inch just to create air pressure that dug a trench through the arena and destroyed the stands of the arena blowing a portion of the arena to pieces.
The saiyan bystanders who were there took the brunt of the blow, a few were knocked out and injured by the impact as they tried to block it.
Zeldora chuckled as she nodded. "Now this will be a fun battle!" She said as she transformed into her legendary state and shock the planet, she grew taller by two feet as she bulked up to twice her size, she was now just as tall as Karen just slightly buffer.
Her aura licking her as she pushed her power to the absolute highest it could go and charged forward, Karen's eyes widened slightly as Zeldora's fist made contact with her face.
The impact cratered the ground and blasted Karen through the arena wall and into a mountain that shattered upon impact as well.
Zeldora grinned. "I know that didn't finish you." She said as she flew upwards ignoring the Saiyans who were flying in the air to avoid the destruction.
Karen flew up and cracked her neck although she was mostly unscathed. "Not bad that punch was solid." She complimented and leaned forward. "So I take it I can fight like I mean it now."
She blasted forward creating a sonic boom shocking Zeldora as she had never experienced one before, she recovered just as Karen reached her, she threw a punch and Zeldora raised her arm and blocked the punch and traded.
The two punched and kicked at one another just for Zeldora grin. "Good your arms aren't broken." Karen commented as she flexed her arm and Zeldora knew this next punch would be harder, she raised her forearm and coated it in ki and boy was she right, the punch rattled her teeth as she blocked it but she had no room to breathe as another punch came.
'It's like she turned up a notch.' Zeldora thought to herself as her other half spoke for the first time during the fight. 'Yes, that means we need to as well.'
Zeldora growled and dug deeper as her aura burned brighter as her power level rose up to match the intensity her legendary form living up to its reputation.
But before she could get used to the punches she felt a foot plant itself in her abdomen blowing her out of the air and into the ground.
She quickly got up to intercept Karen who was already on top of her she punched at Zeldora who jumped up, Karen's fist dug into the ground shaking it tremendously as her Zeldora charged a ki blast and threw it at her.
Karen looked up - her eyes glowed red and heat vision erupted challenging the ki blast, a large explosion ensued as the heat vision ripped through the blast.
Thick beams of red raced through the sky as it chased Zeldora who avoided the beams.
(So its not omega style beams for anyone wondering it's still just normal laser beams that Zeldora is dodging.)
She shot a ki blast out to her left and dodged to her right Karen didn't let up and followed her with the heat vision ripping through everything Zeldora tried to hide behind.
'What the hell is that? It isn't ki!?' She thought as she narrowly avoided the beams. 'It's blazing hot.' As she flicked her fingers and the ki blast she shot out crept up behind Karen and made contact causing Karen to winch in pain momentarily cutting off her heat vision.
Everyone watched from the sidelines being careful to not get caught in the crossfire again as the battle had escaped from the arena.
"Your mate has a very strange way of fighting." Narma pointed out.
"Well she is Kryptonian of course she wouldn't fight exactly the same." Gohan pointed out.
"Kryptonian?" Bardock questioned. "It explains her eye beam."
"Well it's one of her many bag of tricks." Gohan said just as Karen inhaled. "Exhibit number two, might want to hold your breath." He said as all the air in the surroundings was suddenly siphoned as some Saiyans started coughing from the lack of air.
And in one swift movement she exhaled, it was like a tornado tore through the sky as Zeldora was assaulted with high speed wind that blasted her into a mountain.
"Did she just inhale all the air in the area and blow it out?" King Vegeta asked incredulously. "Her lungs must be made of other worldly materials."
"If there is one thing about Karen, she is very strong." Gohan bragged as Zeldora flew at her and the two fought at close quarters and broke apart to which Karen dug her hands into the ground, rumbling started just as a large mountain like piece of land was lifted.
Zeldora's eyes widened at the massive plot of land as it rose with Karen beneath it. "No way that's an efficient way of fighting you can't even see me." Zeldora pointed out and Karen laughed.
"I can see you! I can see through anything with my eyes." She said as she dropped the mountain on her one arm and pulled back just to yeet the land at Zeldora at break neck speed.
Zeldora surprised at the speed at which the mountain was thrown charged up a ki blast and fire it at the mountain destroying it.
"Did she just throw a mountain at Zeldora with one arm?" A Super Elite said with wide eyes. "That must weigh like two million tonnes!?"
"What strength…" Narma muttered as she watched on, she glanced at Gohan who was watching with a smile.
"You must truly be fond of her." Narma pointed out with a smile.
"I am, I love her."
'I know how you feel.' She thought as she sighed and glanced back at a lone Super Elite who was fixated on the fight. 'If I push just a little harder I can be confident when I talk to him about my feelings, once I master the next level there is no way he won't find me attractive!' She thought as she clenched her fist.
Gohan noticed this and saw her longing eyes staring at a Super Elite. 'So she is in love.'
Zeldora was panting and they both seemed to have some scratches here and there. "I see you have stamina." Zeldora pointed out as Karen shrugged not out of breath.
"Not a problem I can keep fighting at this level indefinitely forever." She said.
"What? Impossible." Zeldora denied.
"It's in my biology, as long as a yellow star is nearby I will never run out of energy, in fact I haven't really been exerting myself enough to cause strain." She answered.
"So what I am hearing is if the star is gone you will run out of power? What a glaring weakness." She mocked.
"Not really, even if the star is gone I can still keep fighting at this level and higher I will just not have an infinite supply of energy but even then I can still fight for a few months maybe even years before tiring out completely and that's a big maybe I have never tested." She confessed.
"As for any real weakness I might have? Well someone stronger than me I suppose." She said. 'Not like I will willing tell you about red stars or magic.' Karen thought.
"But I haven't found anyone other than my cousin and I suppose Gohan."
Zeldora powered down. "Than I suppose this fight is pointless if I want to win I'd have to fight with the intent to kill you." She said. "I am not crazy enough to believe I'd be able to knock you out or directly over power you…at least not yet."
Karen shrugged. "I will say you are quite powerful though."
Done, sorry it took longer than usual to post but I have started posting Justice Rewritten on Royal Road under Percival Black and will update that next before I update this as well and also I will start a Discord but this one will be for early access to chapters and any questions you guys might have I will also periodically ask for input on how you guys would like the story to go but ultimately it will still be my decision at the end of the day but expect lots of polls, I am going to have a lot of free time on my hands in the July so I will probably spam chapters, I hope you all have a blessed day! And thank you for still reading and reviewing on my 4 year old story I appreciate every single review I get at this point my aspirations for being a writer is gone along with my musical aspirations of going 'big' so I will sit in this corner of the internet with you guys and entertain you all!
