Chapter 52 A breath of Fresh Air
Its been 8 months since Dartz and the Leviathan were defeated by both the Egyptian Gods, The Ancients and Godzilla.
Finally ending that chapter in the Titans dark history that somehow escaped destruction so many years ago.
And Seven months since the others found out about Korra's pregnancy with quadruplets of all things.
Right now however though
Sean was testing the new Turbo bike in a newly built Arena that would be showing this kind of duel in a couple months. (Sora I already knew about Turbo duels. I never said I never watched other Yugioh series before. Just not interested in writing about any beyond the first two series)
"Hows it look on your end?" Sean asked on the radio in his helmet.
"Looks pretty good. I'd say we're nearly ready for the Test duels in a week or so." Seto said.
"With all these new dueling Arenas your gonna have to expand to other cities and nations in a few years. Too bad the Air nation is gone cause this might have caught their attention." Sean said.
"Oh that reminds me. Don't forget to check into the residential district to clear out those spirit vines." Seto said.
After Aknadin had attacked Paradise City some of the districts were covered in vines. Most were cleared out because of the Ancients but some were still around.
Korra initially wanted to have the portals closed to spite Unalaq for all the pain he caused but Mana and the other Ancients convinced her to leave them open to reestablish the old ways with the spirits.
"Part of me wishes Korra had just closed those portals. But at the same time I know it was for the greater good." Sean said.
"Whatever the vines are blocking construction and I need them out of the way to make way for new projects." Seto said.
"Relax. I'll have them gone in a minute." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Bumi was chasing his Spirit friend before climbing a tree.
"If you don't wanna wear the sweater I made you, Thats fine. I'm sorry I got mad." Bumi said climbing towards him but he flew away. "I'm running out of tree here." Bumi said before it began to break.
"Oh boy." Bumi said before it broke making him scream moving his arms around like crazy before he shockingly airbended.
"What? I'm airbending!" Bumi yelled before crashing down. "Ow. Why didn't I catch myself?" Bumi asked himself.
Meanwhile
Sean on Exodia's shoulder walked to the residential district.
"HEY!" Exoida yelled making the spirits yelp in surprise. "You all know the rules. No living in the residential districts. No vines inside the Cities either. OUT!" Exodia yelled making them whine before leaving as did the Vines.
"Was it like this in the old days?" Sean asked.
"No. They never really were as much a problem as they are right now. Back then they listened without question but because we've been gone for so long and they are just now returning things are a little complicated." Exodia said.
"I guess that makes sense. That reminds me. What are you all planning to do to Wang Shi Tong? He did after all help Unalaq because of his Ego." Sean said.
"We have plans for him. And we've also destroyed that other spirit who's been a problem before. Koh the face stealer. Can't have him around causing trouble and murdering innocent people just to add their faces to his pathetic collection." Exodia said before Sean jumped down.
"Can't argue with that. Welp. I better tell the press that the Spirits won't be causing any problems." Sean said as Baby Dragon flew to him before he got on and flew off.
At the press meeting Raiko was once more trying to convince people to join him.
"Don't you see! This other universe is responsible for all of this nonsense! They brought these vines to our City! I beg you all to see reason. Vote to have me back in office so I may declare war and destroy this universe once and for all!" Raiko yelled but only got the people to boo him making him growl.
Thats when Sean landed making a gust of wind that blew off his glasses making him growl.
"Lord Kruger. Are the Spirit vines and the spirits going to interfere with KaibaCorp plans?"
"No. Listen, The Ancients are dealing with the Spirits and the Vines. They won't be a problem. We've been separated from the spirits for the last 10,000 years. It's gonna take time for us to adjust to this. But everything will work out in the end." Sean said.
"Absurd! This all the proof we need to show us the Ancients are setting us up so they can control us! Not only should we destroy the other universe but we should destroy them too!" Raiko yelled.
"Then destroy yourself. You got an ancient inside you like everyone else does. Speaking of which lets see what yours looks like." Sean said casting a spell before what he knew from the Card game known as Thousand eyes Idol appeared.
"AHHH! Thats disgusting!" Raiko yelled in horror while everyone else laughed.
"And weak as hell. In the game that thing has no attack or defense. So like you it's pathetic." Sean said making him growl before trying to slug him but Sean tripped him making him fall over the stairs falling down repeatedly as everyone laughed at him making him growl before stomping off.
"What a loser." Lin said.
"So it seems like Crime is near non existent since things have settled down." Sean said.
"Yeah. I guess Mako was in the right to leave the Police since we've barely gotten any calls like we usually did when Republic City was around." Lin said.
"Thinking about Retirement? Might suit you." Sean said.
"Fat Chance." Lin said.
"Well, it's retirement or visit your sister." Sean said making her glare. "Oh come on! You've been holding a grudge for something she never intended for 30 years. Let it go." Sean said.
"Easier said than done." Lin said making him sigh before leaving.
Later
Arriving back on Air Temple Island Sean sighed as he sat down next to Korra, Tea and Ishizu.
"Hey. So how'd it go?" Tea asked.
"Ah the vines and spirits are leaving. Raiko however tried to get people to turn to his side to destroy your universe because of his dumb reasons." Sean said.
"I'll never understand why he wishes to do that." Ishizu said.
"He's no different than Sozin when he wiped out the Air Nation." Sean said
"Only he's Pathetic." Korra said as Bumi was moving his arms around trying to do something.
"What is he doing?" Sean asked.
"He says he's an Airbender now. But he hasn't done anything." Duke said.
"Did you see that? I think the napkin moved." Bumi said.
"You blew on it." Kya said annoyed.
"Maybe I can only do it when my life is in danger." Bumi said.
"Oh for crying out loud. How can you be an Airbender now? That makes no sense." Sean said.
"Maybe he just hit his head one time too many." Serenity joked making most laugh.
"That I can agree on." Tenzin said.
"I have not!" Bumi yelled before Meelo threw a plate at him making him yell in shock as he swung his arms around and airbended it. "I TOLD YOU!" Bumi yelled shocking everyone.
"What?" Sean asked in shock.
"Unbelievable. Your actually an Airbender." Tenzin said.
"Oh Mom! I hope this is your gift." Bumi said before it dropped and broke. "Sorry." Bumi said.
Later
Everyone was outside as Bumi was trying to Airbend again but nothing was happening.
"Why can't I figure this thing out!" Bumi yelled.
"Do you think him being in the spirit world caused this?" Korra asked Sean as she held her stomach.
"No thats not it." Sean said.
"Maybe Unlce Bumi is just a late bloomer." Ikki said.
"I have been noticing a change in your aura lately." Kya said.
"And you didn't tell me?" Bumi asked making her glare before Lin walked to them.
"Invisible spirit monster attack?" Lin asked.
"Not even close. He just started airbending." Joey said making her widen her eyes.
"Then he's not the only one." Lin said.
"Meaning what?" Yugi asked.
"Last night I got a call about an Airbender. I thought it was a joke but went to investigate it anyway. Some shop owner started airbending uncontrollably." Lin said.
"He's not the only one." Seto said walking to them with Mokuba.
"Let me guess. More right?" Sean asked.
"I caught some of the construction workers on camera doing Airbending. Both of them are from this universe. What is going on? I thought Tenzin and his kids were the last Airbenders." Seto said.
"Hmm." Sean said rubbing his chin.
"Something you wanna add?" Tenzin asked.
"Well, it is possible that because the spirit portals are once again opened the energies from it are trying to find balance in this world." Sean said.
"So those energies are making new Airbenders to bring back balance." Yugi said.
"Maybe. This is still an unknown to us." Sean said as Kuriboh jumped on his shoulder.
"Hold up. I thought those Giant Turtles gave bending to people." Joey said remembering a story.
"Lion Turtles." Sean said.
"Can't you get anything right?" Seto asked making him growl.
"Technically speaking he is right. But I do think this is the spirit world's way of balancing out the elements by making new Air Benders." Sean said.
"Maybe we should ask Unalaq. He knows more than anyone about the spirit world." Jinora said.
"Hell no! I'd rather be uninformed than ask him anything. Besides he'll most likely keep it to himself to spite us." Sean said.
"But what I don't get is why now?" Tristan asked.
"Yeah I mean that whole Convergence thing was a year ago." Joey said.
"Not everything is immediate. Some things have a delayed reaction." Seto said.
"Probably took time for the energies to fully develop inside people into new Airbenders." Asami said.
"Regardless we need to find these new Airbenders before someone else does too misuse it for their own gains or worse Bakura finds them and kills them to spite us." Sean said .
"I'll have Roland and Mako look for the new Airbender that got away." Seto said walking off.
Later
"Can you actually believe it? New Airbenders after almost 200 years." Korra said excited making Sean chuckle.
"Yeah. It's exciting to know a near extinct group is coming back because of keeping those portals open." Sean said as they sat down holding her stomach.
"And to think I wanted to close them to spite Unalaq for what he did to my family and the tribe." Korra said making him nod.
"For understandable reasons." Sean said as they looked at the City.
"You know...Once we defeat Bakura and take down Zorc for good...The world isn't gonna need me anymore." Korra said making him scoff in amusement.
"You know...My Counterpart told me something interesting about you in his universe." Sean said.
"And whats that?" Korra asked.
"After Keizer was defeated for good in his universe...You and Raava separated since she felt the their universe didn't need the Avatar anymore. You thinking of doing the same?" Sean asked making her smile.
"I don't think so. While I may not be needed as much when that time comes...I know their still might be threats out there that may need me in years apart." Korra said.
"Well...Whatever you decide to do when Bakura is finally defeated...I'll support you the whole way." Sean said making her smile.
Thats when Bolin rushed to them.
"Mako just called. They found the new Airbender on top of Kyoshi bridge but he won't come down." Bolin said.
"Figures." Sean said as they got up.
The three arrived at the bridge seeing Lin's officers trying to bring him down peacefully.
"I got this." Sean said flying up.
"How many new Airbenders do you think are there?" Asami asked.
"That is what we are gonna find out." Seto said as Sean came back down with the new Airbender.
"We need to start finding these guys before someone else does like." Sean tried to say.
"Is this the deal now? We have a Crisis every other day now because of you?" Raiko asked walking to them.
"Look pal! Your the only one..." Korra tried to say before he tried to smack her before a hand grabbed his making him look seeing Rafael glaring at him.
"Not a smart move pal." Rafael said before Sean grabbed Raiko by the neck and slammed him into the railing making him groan in pain before Sean grabbed him by the neck.
"You dare?" Sean asked snarling.
"You two have caused me nothing but trouble since you both arrived! I had grand plans for this universe to put it under my leadership. But you and this other universe ruined everything!" Raiko yelled before Sean held him over the railing making him scream in shock.
"Judging from your weight and this height the fall would kill you. Normally I hate the idea of taking a life unlike my counterpart...But because of what you just tried to do to my pregnant wife...I'm willing to go that far just once." Sean said letting go of one leg making him scream in shock.
"NOO! PLEASE PULL ME UP! I'M SORRY! DON'T DROP ME!" Raiko screamed in fear.
"Lucky for you I..." Sean tried to say before Godzilla's brother Dagon appeared from the water and snarled at Raiko.
"Oh great you again." Dagon said.
"Hmm?" Sean asked.
"His double ganger in my universe almost brought the end of the world. Your better off just getting rid of him here and now. Before he can do something similar here." Dagon said.
"In that case." Sean said as his puzzle glowed before engulfing him in dark shrouds of the Shadow realm.
"AHHHHH!" Raiko screamed in horror as he vanished to the Shadow Realm.
"What a pathetic Loser." Seto said.
"You know some time away from here would do me some good." Korra said holding her stomach.
"In which case we can look for new Airbenders." Sean said holding her close.
"Don't think I'm not coming with you two." Tenzin said making them smile. "It's so exciting. Who knows who's out there right now, Discovering the joys of airbending." Tenzin said. (Open mouth insert Foot)
Meanwhile
Deep in the Mountains was a cell big enough for one on a large mountain to prevent the prisoner inside from escaping.
The prisoner was none other than Zaheer who remained in this cell for 15 years after he and the others tried to kidnap Sean and Korra but failed because of the Ancients.
As Zaheer was waiting for his next meal however though he heard explosions outside.
"Hmm?" Zaheer said walking to the cell door before one of the Ancients was knocked out making him widen his eyes.
Thats when it was blown open by something.
Looking outside Zaheer widened his eyes seeing Diabound and Bakura with the Later laughing.
"So. Your Zaheer. I've been looking for you." Bakura said.
"What do you want?" Zaheer asked surprised to see him.
"Call it a favor to continue your work. Unalaq failed me so Perhaps you will do better. But for now why don't we get you across the bridge." Bakura said.
"Thats not happening." Zaheer said before he actually Airbent him away much to his shock.
"Last I checked you were powerless." Bakura said.
"Nature is changing like the Wind. A new age is coming. I appreciate you getting me out. But thats as much as I'll say to the likes of you." Zaheer said before jumping down the mountain.
"HMPH! Not exactly how I pictured this encounter...But the end results are all the same." Bakura said grinning.
Authors Note: Here we go again. Now Next Chapter we go looking for new Airbenders. And Bakura has set Zaheer free since theres no way he could take the Ancients by surprise like the Idiot White Lotus Members. Now I'm gonna take a break from writing for a week since I'm exhausted and I have a week off to myself so don't expect any new updates till say the 18th. Read, Review, Fav and Follow.
