Ron woke up on his back in a beautiful forest. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom and falling, there was a nice breeze, and he even heard a waterfall in the distance. He felt at peace for a second before he thought back.

"Yono." He did a kip up and clenched his fists. No one was near him, and he couldn't sense anyone. Usually Bonnie at the very least was easy for him to track, he was practically soul bound to her or something, but he couldn't sense her either. He took a deep breath.

"Focus Stoppable. Focus." Maybe Yono hit him so hard he flew miles and miles away.

'It's kinda weird how there's no damage in the place I landed though….'

It didn't matter. He closed his eyes and tried to search for Bonnie, Yono, or Sensei. Their energy signatures were practically beaten into his skull so there's no way he could miss them no matter how far away they were. After a moment he found something. It felt nothing like anyone he knew but it didn't seem malevolent so he flew towards it. On his way he admired how beautiful the landscape was. It was serene. He might even take Bonnie and Shego here someday if he could figure out where the hell he was.

Ron felt that he was getting close to the source and looked around. He saw one man staring off into the horizon on a large hill, he understood given the view. It was crazy that he could be that relaxed but pumping out that much ki though. Even if he's not trying to be threatening with it. He descended and clumsily landed but remained on his feet. Whoever it was didn't perceive him as a threat since all he did was slowly turn his head to acknowledge Ron's existence then immediately turned back around.

As he walked closer Ron saw that he also had a tail. Which meant he had to at least have some connection to the mystical monkey power.

'Aren't the other chosen one's dead though.'

"Yes."

"What?"

The guy shook his head. "Sorry, accident. I can hear your thoughts. Thought you were talking."

"…...oookay. Well while I'd love to ask about you but I'm pretty sure I'm in the middle of a fight, so can you tell me where I am? I have to get back."

"You don't remember?"

"No? I just remember being in a fight with Yono trying to protect some people I care about."

"He's still kicking huh?" The guy hit his forehead with his palm. At that moment Ron noticed a thin gold headband. It looked fantastic on him. "Duh, you're human. It's been a minute. Humans erase traumatic things. Come here."

For some god forsaken reason Ron immediately complied with the strangers request despite the fact that he knew next to nothing about him. He just felt like he could trust him. It was the exact opposite of the feeling Yono gave him if anything. When Ron was next to him he stood and held up a hand.

"Hold still." He said right before poking Ron's forehead with his index finger. He should be pulling away right about….

Ron jumped a few feet back and placed a hand over his chest. His heart was beating like a drum and he was breathing heavily. He could practically see the blood dripping down his body, and hear the screams of his friends along with envisioning the shock and pain on their faces. Despite none of that being present at the moment. He remembered everything

"WHERE AM I?"

"Alright, one, I'm two feet away."

"….sorry."

"And two, I made this place for you. Like it?"

"It's perfect…..wait you MADE this? It's huge!"

"Why do you insist on yelling? Sheesh. Kids these days."

"Dude you had to have made a country at least. That doesn't even make sense."

The stranger shrugged. "No big deal. I just tapped your mind to see what you'd like."

"Why would you care about what I like? You don't even know me."

"I mean, in a way I know you. I'm kind of like your father. If you humans still call it that."

"Unfortunately I saw my birth video so I know that's not true."

He held the bridge of his nose "You'll get it later."

"Where did you build this anyway? It would show up on satellites."

"The heavens."

"What!?"

"The heavens. Most humans can't get to this plane. Just my children. You'll be able to interact with the others when you're ready, but this part is yours."

"The others?"

He lifted an eyebrow "The other chosen ones."

'The heavens. The other chosen ones.' "I'm dead." Ron said softly while falling to his knees staring at the ground. "I lost."

"Yea, a lot of the others did too. You're one of the stronger ones though so you shouldn't feel bad. Maybe even the strongest of my children."

Ron looked at him with a fire in his eyes. "Show me how my friends are right now."

He casually held up a palm and formed a circle for him that showed what was currently happening. Yono was sitting on one side of Ron's barrier relaxing while his friends were on the other. He was grinning. "You really are one of the stronger ones. I'm surprised you could make something so strong it held up after you died."

"So they're safe?"

"Oh no they're dead."

Ron's face lowered into a deadpan expression. How could he just be so nonchalant about everything happening right now? "How?"

"I know how strong he is since we fought in my younger days. That barrier wouldn't hold him if he put in some effort."

Ron looked again. "He's playing with them."

"And when he gets bored they'll be dead in a few seconds. I have to admit it is a little funny."

"I need to go back."

"You don't even know where you are kid."

Ron stood up and had an epiphany. "But you do."

"Excuse me?"

"You can send me back! Even when you're doing nothing at all your power dwarfs mine and his. You made a country like it was nothing! You can bring me back to life!"

He held his chin as if in thought. "I could." Ron perked up before the next remark instantly deflated him. "But I wont."

"If I don't go. I'll never see them again. Their family and friends will never see them again. I have to go. No one else can help them."

"I know for a fact you'll see the short one again. BonBon I think you said her name was. You humans Get weirder names by the millenia."

"So I'll get out of here somehow and save her?"

"She has some of my energy so I feel a connection with her. I'll bring her here as a favor to you."

"But you won't send me back."

He rolled his eyes. "No, I'm not going to send you back to get killed again. Even if you by some miracle beat Yono humans have what? A sub century lifespan? I've seen tortoises that live longer than them."

"I DON'T CARE!" Ron said waving his arm through the air

The strangers usual smirking calm face became more reserved and stoic. He was no longer amused.

Ron thought for a second then spoke again. "I'll….I'll kick your ass until you send me back down."

And he was right back to amused, as he burst out laughing. "That was a good one."

"It may not be today, and it may not be tomorrow, it might not even be this century, but I WILL kick your ass eventually. Then you'll have to send me back down."

"Boy, you would challenge one of the strongest gods to ever bless the earth? I could erase you with a wave of my hand."

"Then do it."

"What?"

Ron grabbed his wrist and placed the strangers hand on his chest. "I'm not just going to watch them die. This isn't paradise for me without them. And earth won't be paradise For the people Yono kills for fun before he gets bored either. So do it."

He broke into a full smile. "There it is."

Ron quirked an eyebrow. "Huh?"

"The conviction to do what you believe in, regardless of what others say your limits are. You would even defy a god. I like you. You remind me of my younger days. The others kept preaching about dignity in defeat, or leaving things to destiny, but not you." Once again he raised index finger and poked Ron's head, only this time he gave him a little something extra by shooting in a beam of light.

"What was that?"

"You know."

Ron's vision blurred for a split second then regained focus. "You're sun wukong…."

"You still want to challenge the great sage, equal to heaven?" Ron's stoic expression answered the question for him. So he just laughed and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Ron looked down. "You're right about one thing though, how can I be sure he won't just kill me again? He doesn't even seem tired from killing me."

Wukong smiled and snapped his fingers, Ron felt himself turning into a ball of light. It was a really weird feeling. "I gave you a gift. You already had the power to defeat him. You just needed to know how to use it. Goobye, my son."

Shego's mind couldn't decide if she should be angry or sad. She had finally gotten the one she loved, then he gets killed by this….thing. Now she was stuck and probably about to die. At least she'd be joining him soon, and she wouldn't have to keep looking at his body along his blood trailing down the wall like some fucked up version of modern art.

"I am afraid the shield will not hold for much longer." Sensei said. His somber tone apparent to all. They had failed. He had great hope for Stoppable san, but his training was not enough. He deserved death for failing his pupil, but he was sure that he would at least want his friends, girlfriend, and concubine to live. He punched the ground and muttered out "Kuso."

"Master!" Yori said.

"Forgive me. I am angry that I cannot protect you. All of you. I have failed the chosen one several times over." Yori pat his back.

Bonnie and Kim were simply inconsolable and hugging each other while tears poured down their faces. From an outside perspective most would think Josh didn't care, but Kim at a glance could tell he was brooding. Surprisingly Bonnie stopped crying and began smiling while sniffling. She actually hugged herself.

"Daddy."

Kim grabbed her shoulders and looked at her face. It was a face of pure elation.

"Is she broken?" Josh said

"BonBon is right here. Waiting for you."

"Yup she's nutty. Not like it's going to matter when that barrier drops anyway." Josh said

An odd feeling flashed through Yori and Sensei as well and they looked at Ron's body, then back to Yono. With the veins popping into his head he looked like he was about to have a stroke. He stood up and looked at Ron's body as well. It looked the same but that did not ease his level of discomfort.

"I killed you. It's not possible." he snarled

After a few seconds a white ball dropped from the sky and the lotus blade seemed to remove itself from Ron's corpse.

"NO!" Yono screamed, he didn't bother with the game of waiting to kill his friends anymore. He had to get rid of that body, now, he could figure how to get rid of his spirit later. He lunged at Ron's body which had begun floating and slowly spinning parallel to the blade around the white ball, but he was intercepted by what felt like a giant tree landing on him then he heard the tree growl, He tried moving the animals arm off him but it would not budge. He knew for a fact that he was stronger than every animal currently living on this stupid rock, this didn't make sense. As a last ditch effort he threw a powerful ki blast at the animal's face at it removed it's paw to stroke the fur back in place and ease the annoyance of pain it had just experienced. He did a backflipped away to finally get a look at his assailant. He had been bested by a giant rodent. Wait….

Yono looked and saw that The blade and body were both now fully engulfed in the orb of light. He wouldn't be able to reach it now, he could still make him suffer with his friends. And conveniently enough the barrier came down just as he had the thought. They flinched when he looked at them and he smirked. Although as soon as he began stalking towards them the animal headbutted him into the nearest building.

The team scooted a bit away until they swore the giant Rodent talked. "Booyah!"

Kim's eyes bulged. "Rufus!?"

"Uh huh." He said with a nod.

Kim hugged his massive neck and gave him some pats. He kinda looked like a giant attack guinea pig or something. Kinda. "Thanks for saving us."

The building Yono had been knocked into exploded in a giant red flash. He was now breathing heavily, and was clearly displeased. Kill another chosen one, destroy some towns, go back to sleep. That's how he thought his day would go. This day just seemed to get worse with each second, and now he had been bested by a RODENT. "I will not be bested by a RODENT of all things. I am a god!"

"You're right, a Rodent won't best you." The white ball touched the ground then exploded into many tiny white ones. It was quite beautiful. "I will."

Bonnie and Shego hugged as they took it all in. He lived, They had no idea how he changed clothes though. He had a gold headband, a shoulder guard, and shingaurds over his baggy mission pants. He still had possession of the lotus blade Whatever, they didn't care about that, they were just glad he was back.

"Also, as I was saying before you so rudely killed me, you're just an asshole on a power trip. "

Yono's eye twitched. "You dare disrespect me? I am a god boy. Which I have shown you once alr-"

Ron grew tired of listening to him prattle on about how great he was and waved his hand causing Yono to fly through another wall comically. "Man he loved the sound of his own voice." He walked over to his friends and looked them over. Given that there wasn't a barrier anymore he figured he came back just in time."

"Ron?" Kim and Shego asked simultaneously. They could not sense it was truly him, no tricks.

"Yea it's me. Sorry I put you guys through that. It wont happen again."

Shego looked at the giant hole Ron made with a wave of his hand and Yono's body. "I can see that."

Ron looked down at the Lotus Blade in his hand. When his forehead got tapped the second time he was sure he didn't receive any extra power. It was just knowledge. Intuitively he just knew that the object in his hand was off in some way.

"Show me." He spoke to as if it was a person. It complied with his request and became a red iron rod with gold tips on each end.

Sensei's eyes widened, a true rarity. "It can't be."

"Ruyi Jingu Bang." Yori said in almost a whispered

"How about some english so those of us that don't train here can understand what's going on."

"The great sage's staff."

Yori and Sensei prostrated themselves before Ron. He instantly became fidgety. "NO! No bowing! Guys we talked about this!"

"You are the reincarnation of the great monkey king! We must!" Yori said.

Ron thought for a second. He knew how seriously they took this stuff, he had one idea even though he hated it. "I order you to not bow before me, and to keep calling me Ron."

They groaned a little, but obeyed. Stoppable-san really was a different breed in terms of humility.

Ron heard a deep growl and knew he had to hurry.

"Josh. I saw you doing something funny with your knives a few weeks back. This will sound ridiculous…."

"Something ridiculous coming from the glowing firey blue guy with a tail? Nooooo."

Ron ignored the sarcasm. "Hypothetically if Sensei or Yori got you a piece of steel right now, could you turn it into a sword I could use with your nanites? Kim's thing seems a lot weirder."

"So you just assume I know how to form a specific metal at a molecular level, then that the first thing I did with my new abilities was figure out how to make more lethal weapons?"

Ron and Kim stared at him in a deadpan fashion.

"Just get me some steel. Titanium would also be nice."

The ground shook and black flames started shooting from the building Ron had knocked Yono into. Someone was not pleased. Ron gave Rufus a pat. "Make sure to protect them from any stray debris." Rufus responded with a nuzzle and Ron faced his foe.

Yono had gotten a bit larger. Now he looked closer to the demon sensei had referred to him as. He almost looked like one of those characters in a wrestling game that put all of their points into strength. His canines increased with his size and his face looked somewhere between human, monkey, and demon zombie thing. He also grew some rather gnarly looking horns Ron didn't bother with the quips anymore. He could feel the intent radiating from Yono's ki. He wanted to kill him in the most violent and painful way possible. Yono was of a single mind.

Ron extended his new staff to a slightly larger size then prepared himself. Even with Josh's level of knowledge with his new tech he probably couldn't just instantly make a sword. Hopefully what the sage said about him having all the power he needed was true. Yono charged him and he held up the staff horizontally to block him. As soon as he heard the metallic clang his feet dug into the ground and he slid a few feet back, Yono was stronger now, definitely stronger. That transformation was not just for show. He would not lose this time though. From an outside perspective he was sure the look in his eyes would register as crazy, but he was committed. He leaned back then headbutted Yono's nose with his forehead as hard as he possibly could, it forced him to elicit a battle grunt but while his opponent was writhing in pain he spun to pick up speed then swept his legs with the staff. Ron tried bringing the staff down from overhead for an incredibly painful blow, but he was forced to dodge the black fire spewing from Yono's mouth. Normal fire probably wouldn't do much to him but this one gave him bad vibes. It almost sounded like…

"Are those...souls you're burning?"

"Yes, and soon you will join them!" Yono said before stomping towards Ron spewing fire.

On the sidelines Rufus batted away any rocks that came their way, and Josh was hard at work on the new weapon for Ron. The way his eyes were working and looking over the details almost made him look like a terminator or something.

Bonnie turned to Kim. "Is he always like that?"

"When he's working on weapons or mission plans yea. I think him acting normal is just for my benefit." Kim kissed his cheek. "But I really appreciate it."

"Thanks Kim." He said, never breaking eye contact with the sword. His eyes were still quickly darting between several parts. From an outside perspective it didn't look like much was happening.

" What are you doing?"

"I'm combining the titanium with the steel to form a blade durable enough to handle is strength. Interestingly enough the steel has enough carbon content for me to be able to reshape them into nanocarbon tubes. This is obviously a more traditional school so I assume the steel blade they gave me was hand forged. It's very fascinating really. Here try to take a…..."

"Oh my god I do not care. Can he use it or not?" Bonnie said. Shego held in a laugh by covering her mouth while Kim gave Bonnie an icy glare.

Josh was clearly not paying attention to her. He was putting the finishing touches on the blade. He placed the edge between his forefinger and thumb and just for a moment made them hard enough to sharpen it with his nanites. "Now this," He held up the katana with a black wrapped handle. "is a beautiful weapon."

The issue now was getting the weapon to Ron. Two super beings trying to kill each other in various ways including but not limited to explosive magic blasts of varying size isn't exactly something he wanted to get close to. His healing factor probably wouldn't matter if he got a hole blasted into his chest or something. He felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Shego's determined green eyes looking back at him.

"Give it to me."

Josh placed the sword in her hands with no qualms. There were a few questions about if she could do it from the others but she quickly shut them down.

"If anything goes bad I'm the only one that could survive a hit is me, so I'm going. Ron can't exactly get distracted again now can he? Come on you giant rat."

Shego hopped on his back and off they went. The distance wasn't really that far but it felt like crossing the beach at normandy or something. Yono was batting away blasts from Ron that landed dangerously close to her and put dust in her face causing her to cough, Yono was spewing fire and forcing Ron to beat it away with his staff. When she was close enough she gave rufus a signal with a pat and leapt into the air. It felt like she was kicking stone when her foot connected with Yono's face but she put every ounce of power she had left. Thankfully it knocked him over and he slid dazzed a few feet away. She swore it would have killed anyone else. He really was a monster

"Here's your new blade, master."

Her emphasis on the word caused him to blush. Everything about her was so sensual, she was so distracting. He blushed. "Not now Shego I'm in the middle of a fight. Rufus, please."

Rufus stepped up to Shego and let out a throaty growl. It would probably sound cute like a guinea pig or something if he was smaller, but now it was quite intimidating.

"Ok ok I get it. Damn." She said before hopping onto his back again and riding away.

Yono shook his head of the cobwebs and stood up. He would rip out her intestines and feast on them while she watched after he finished with this boy. Wait what was he….

Ron was surrounded by waves of his fluctuating blue ki. His energy was flowing like tendrils into the blade. It retained the glow once he was done pouring in energy, but it coated the entire blade. Ron smiled. While he was staring at the sword Yono once again tried to speed blitz him, thinking he was distracted. This time he was ready.

"Not this time."

This time, Ron sidestepped just enough that Yono stumbled, unable to stop his forward moment. One moment, one moment was all it took to lose a fight. When he looked up from his slight misstep Ron's fist was already hitting terminal velocity for an uppercut to his chin. As Yono floated back and his eyes rolled into his head, Ron appeared above him. One hand on the sword handle, the other and the other with his palm placed onto the hilt.

Yono's eyes refocused on Ron right before the sword pierced his heart and he was slammed back to the earth. He began to cough up blood, but oddly enough he smiled. "You think this will make a difference? I can't die. I will have my revenge when I recover."

Honestly, Ron had no idea if what he was about to attempt was possible, but it was worth a shot. He maintained his grip on the handle but held out his hand towards Yono. He focused on pulling Yono's Ki towards him.

"What are you doing?" Yono felt himself being separated, he tried to fight it but the pull was too strong. Soon his meatsuit was just a husk turning to dust, and he was a red hue being sucked into the sword. A disembodied voice ranted and raved about him one day escaping and having his vengeance until he was fully inside the sword. All that could be heard was the wind rustling in the trees.

"Maybe one day, but not this one."
