Chapter 62 One Step ahead
Turok was going over his deck to select his new cards.
After Zigfried was defeated the next round of duels took place quickly.
Turok won his duel in three simple turns easily against his opponent
However unfortunately Rebecca lost her duel against Leon.
Now Turok and Leon would be facing each other to duel against Sean.
Right now Sean sighed as he was injected again with Duel Energy before sitting up perfectly.
"Finally." Sean said stretching.
"How long is this gonna last?" Korra asked holding Alex who cooed in her arms.
"As long as he's getting regular injections he should be just fine." Mokuba said.
"Until we can find a way to bring the Ancients back at least." Yugi said.
"There has to be some plans to making a gateway to bring them back." Sean said.
"You really think they left something like that laying around?" Joey asked.
"They did plan in advance. So it is possible." Korra said.
Soon everyone was at the Kaiba Dome with Turok getting ready to face off against Leon.
"This is exciting. Turok is this close to dueling against you." Tea said making Sean chuckle.
"THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!" Joey whined.
"News flash yet again. Kaiba doesn't like you." Tristan said.
"It's not fair. I wanna be number one!" Joey cried making the babies laugh.
"Do not turn out like him." Sean said.
"I heard that!" Joey yelled.
"You were supposed to." Korra said holding Alex who yawned.
Thats when the Match was about to begin.
However before it could start the wind began to pick up making them look seeing Seto hanging on a ladder from his chopper.
"What is he up to?" Sean asked as he landed.
"Stop the Duel! As president of Kaibacorp I declare this match Invalid!" Seto yelled.
"What are you doing? What is going on?" Turok asked confused.
"Leon is disqualified." Seto said shocking him.
"I am...But why?" Leon asked.
"You broke your tournament contract. Entering a false name. Leon Wilson. Or should I call you Leon Von Schroeder! Of the Schroder Corporation!" Seto yelled shocking him. "Both you and your brother entered under false names! Therefore you are both disqualified!" Seto said.
"Schroeder? Isn't that a rival company of yours?" Turok asked.
"It is. I know Zigfried is the reason this whole place has been acting up. He implanted a virus into our network." Seto said making Leon look guilty.
"Leon." Sean said getting his attention. "Is that true?" Sean asked making him sigh.
"Yeah...It is." Leon said.
"Why would you go along with that? Peoples lives were in danger because of that." Sean said.
"I didn't think it would get that bad. I swear." Leon said.
"You have nothing to apologize for Leon." Zigfried said walking to them. "I'm surprised you caught on so quick." Zigfried said.
"Titan Technology never fails to impress. Mako used their tech to make the links. The most heavy competitor of KaibaCorp shows up and everything goes haywire. I knew you were a snake the second we met. And my instincts are never wrong. Both you and your brother broke into here to sabotage this tournament." Seto said.
"So what? The fact of the matter is right now is your letting this...Failure win by some minor technicality. Truthfully the matter is you know he's going to lose since thats his nature. A failure in all..." Zigfried said before Sean punched him down which shocked him before he picked him up and strangled him.
"I'm going to enjoy this." Sean said as he looked in horror.
"Stop." Seto said getting his attention. "I have something much more appealing in mind." Seto said.
"Hmm?" Sean asked before noticing Pegasus with his wife. "What are you up to?" Sean asked.
"I'll make a deal. Zigfried wins a duel and Leon duels Turok. He loses however though and they leave." Seto said.
"Dueling against you? Humiliating you will make my time well spent." Zigfried said.
"I never said you'd be dueling against me." Seto said confusing him.
"Then...Who?" Zigfried asked.
"Me."
Everyone turned seeing Titan Sean grinning.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" Joey asked.
"Seto asked me to come here to duel against this guy. I dislike people who lie and deceive others to achieve their own personal needs with others hurt along the way. Reminds me of Mark." Titan Sean said.
"You can't compare me to that murdering monster." Zigfried said insulted by that.
"Actually I can since your a lot alike. You'll both do anything to achieve your goals. Even if people are hurt or worse in those ambitions. You only care about yourself and you used your own brother to achieve your revenge. I can't let that slide." Titan Sean said before Godzilla took over.
"Normally the price for actions like yours would be simple. A quick death." Godzilla said shocking him.
"Fortunately we're not in our universe so the rules are soft...For now." Titan Sean said.
"Hence why he's dueling against you." Seto said making him grin.
"Fine by me. Defeating the King of the Titans will add good fortune for my company." Zigfried said as Godzilla snarled at him.
"Keep your mouth shut. It's people like you who prove my point that Man can't lead man. And I'll prove it even more here." Godzilla said as Titan Sean took over before getting on his platform with his deck.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." Pegasus said making Cecelia giggle.
"What are they up to?" Joey asked.
"Wait a minute. I just remembered. Pegasus made him a deck of Titans. This isn't just a duel. This is a demonstration to show them off before Pegasus releases them to the public." Yugi said.
"Hey thats right. So he's using Titans in his deck to smack Zigfried to the ground." Joey said.
"Let the Duel begin!" Roland yelled.
"I'll allow the King to Go first." Zigfried said.
"Very well." Titan Sean said drawing his cards before smirking. "I think I'll play something special from my universe." Titan Sean said confusing him. "I play Titan City." Titan Sean said as The City that existed before and replaced Republic City in his universe appeared in a high tech fashion.
"Whoa. Thats Titan City?" Alister asked.
"Oh yeah. Only saw it once after Vaatu was defeated but it puts Paradise City to Shame." Joey said.
"And I play a small Titan known as Doug in Attack Mode." Titan Sean said as his first Titan appeared and snarled.

"Now what in the world is that? I thought Titans were supposed to be big and fierce." Zigfried mocked.
"Not all Titans are huge like Godzilla you know. If they were the world would be out of room. Only the big leagues like him are in that size. And like the ancients not all are equally powerful. There are low, Mid and High level Titans." Titan Sean said. "Anyway I place one card face down and end my turn." Titan Sean said.
"A shame since this duel is now over. I play Ride of the Valkyries." Zigfried said before a bright light appeared above them.
'What is he doing?' Godzilla asked.
"This allows me to summon every Valkyrie in my hand to the field. Valkyrie Zweite, Erste and Dritte." Zigfried said as they appeared.

"In one move?" Titan Sean asked.
"And now comes the best part. Zweite allows me to destroy a monster automatically." Zigfried said.
"Hate to break it to you but thats not happening." Titan Sean said.
"And why not?" Zigfried asked confused.
"As long as my Titan City remains on the field. My Titans are protected from all monster, Spell and Trap effects. However I must give up at least 100 life points every time I activate this effect." Titan Sean said making him frown.
"Fine. Now then Valkyrie Zweite! Destroy that pathetic Excuse for a Titan!" Zigfried yelled as she roared going for the attack.
Only for Doug to smack her with his tail.
"WHAT!" Zigfried asked in shock.
"You didn't think it would be that easy now did you? Doug might be a low level Titan but he's not powerless. When attacked he automatically switches to defense mode." Godzilla said making him growl. "Your starting to get just as frustrated as Mark did in his living days." Godzilla said grinning.
"Be silent!" Zigfried said.
"Make us." Titan Sean challenged making him growl.
"Now this is more like it." Seto said observing it all.
"Now I believe its my turn." Titan Sean said.
"No so fast! I activate my face down card. Mischief of the Time Goddess. This lets me keep my Valkyries and skips your turn and back to me." Zigfried said.
"Go ahead. It won't matter. I told you already. As long as Titan City Remains your can't target any of my monsters with Magic, Trap or Monster effects as long as I have life points to give up." Titan Sean said.
"Very true. But this was mostly to keep my Ladies on the field. I'll end things there." Zigfried said.
"Hmph!" Godzilla said drawing the next card before chuckling. "I activate another ability of my City. This allows me to automatically summon any Titan in my Hand. And I summon Gigan." Godzilla said as the two bladed Titan appeared and screeched.

"Of course there is a catch. I can't attack you this turn when I use this ability." Titan Sean said.
"Whoa. I remember this guy when Zaheer got his butt handed to him. He does not mess around." Joey said.
"If thats the best you can do then I will have no problem defeating an amateur such as yourself. Your counterpart may be the current King of Games but you have no training nor any skill involved." Zigfried said.
"It's a silly Card game. What skill do you need to play it? Your playing pathetic mind games to attempt to mess me up. It's not working. I've lived for 30,000 years and games like yours are just sad." Titan Sean said.
"We'll see about that." Zigfried said drawing his next card and chuckled. "Your little Titan Friend is not going to last long I'm afraid. I play the Magic Card Axe Of Despair." Zigfried said as it appeared on Erste making her a thousand points stronger. "Now destroy Gigan." Zigfried ordered as she roared charging in.
Only for Gigan to blast her to nothing.
"Again? But how?" Zigfried asked as Gigan roared into the air.
"Think of him like that Jinzo card. But instead of Traps he destroys spells when I discard one card from my hand." Titan Sean said placing one away as Zigfried growled in anger. "Now I'm still new to the game but if I'm right you've lost about a thousand and fifty life points...And I only lost a hundred by my own hand." Titan Sean said amused.
"Pure luck! And it will run out soon enough." Zigfried said placing one card down.
"Whatever you say Mark Junior." Titan Sean said making him growl. "Now then since clearly thats the end of your turn I can begin mine." Titan Sean said drawing his next card and grins. "You know Gigan alone is difficult to beat. But he's almost unstoppable when his partner is on the field. Megalon!" Titan Sean said as his third Titan appeared. A Large Bug like Titan with drills for hands as he growled.

"Awesome. he's already got some really good Titans on the field." Joey said grinning.
"However I'm not done. As we told you my City lets me automatically summon any Titan from my hand. But the effect works only once. So Now I play cost down and sacrifice Doug to summon a relative of mine. I summon Yonggary." Godzilla said as the Leader of the Northern Water Tribe now known as Crystal City appeared and roared loudly.

Zigfried looked in shock seeing this.
"And I activate Yonggary's special ability. By removing one monster from my Grave Yard he Can Automatically destroy every Card on your side of the field. So go and destroy those Valkyries!" Titan Sean said as his mouth glowed before blasting them with Atomic breath and destroyed every Monster Zigfried had which shocked him to the core.
"All right! Way to go big guy!" Joey cheered.
"This almost makes me wanna duel him to see if my Ancients are better than his Titan Cards." Sean said as Katara giggled making the parents smile.
"He was one step ahead of him from the start!" Mokuba said grinning making Zigfried widen his eyes.
'One step ahead? I swore that would never happen again!' Zigfried yelled looking at Titan Sean in rage.
'I know he and Mark are miles apart from being very similar but he's got that bitterness and jealousy like him.' Godzilla said.
'Believe me I noticed. Every universe has someone similar from another or has the same person with nearly identical views like both Zaheers. Only difference between Mark and Zigfried is he's not willing to kill in cold blood. He'd rather destroy what someone else has and take away what he has for himself.' Titan Sean said.
'True. But I can't help but wonder how this all started.' Godzilla said.
'Lets find out.' Titan Sean said. "Zigfried." Titan Sean said getting his attention. "I have an honest question for ya." Titan Sean said getting his attention along with the others.
"And that is?" Zigfried asked curious.
"What exactly are your issues with Seto's family and yours? I don't understand the problem." Titan Sean said.
"If you must know our families have been rivals for many generations. And his always had the upper hand. It was humiliating. In my family, losing is not an option. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. My goal was Simple: Booost Schroeder Corp to Number one, And leave the Kaibas in Ruins. Sadly that proved to be a task that neither I Nor My father could accomplish. In fact, it drove him mad!" Zigfried said.
"You mean he went nuts?" Titan Sean asked.
"In a manner of speaking yes. He's retired these days in good hands. Anyway after which I was put in charge of the Company and my first order of business was to get out of the Millitary business and into the gaming world which at the time was untapped by any other company. However not long after KaibaCorp also joined the business. So I spent all my time to one up them. And finally it happened. Holographic monster projects. And I planned to show it to Industrial Illusions...But Herr Kaiba somehow stole it and got the deal With Pegasus!" Zigfried yelled.
"Not true." Titan Sean said confusing him. "I know people just by their voice and appearance. And Seto does not show any signs of being a thief. And people have similar ideas all the time. It doesn't mean they stole the ideas from each other. He simply had the same idea as you. Probably longer actually. And if it was stolen why wasn't there any signs of theft?" Titan Sean asked making him frown looking away. "You see my point?" Titan Sean asked making him grumble.
"Wow he seriously just shut him up big time without kicking his butt." Joey said impressed.
"Theres Titan Wisdom for ya." Mai said.
"Fine. So perhaps he didn't steal it like I first thought. But I have had enough of being defeated in an endless cycle with his family and mine." Zigfried said.
"You know your story reminds me of my family and Mark's. Only difference is Mark's family and mine were really close. All the Royal families were before the end of the original Golden years of the Titans before Mark screwed everything up. My family helped build the original Titan City during when Technology was very new at the time. My family even created the Transfiguration Matrix which rebuilt Titan City and the others when the Titans emerged from Slumber. And yet none of us hated each other for our Success. Except Mark because he was insane." Titan Sean said.
"Where exactly are you going with this?" Zigfried asked curious.
"My point is you can't let hatred consume you or you'll end up like him. He even murdered his own parents to get sympathy like mine did when our parents were killed in the labs just to get the same treatment." Titan Sean said shocking him and the crowd. "However it backfired since no one liked him because of his attitude. And if you keep this up you'll end up like him and cause nothing but misery for everyone else around you." Titan Sean said making him look away listening closely to his words. "Now lets continue this. Yonggarry's ability ended my turn so your move." Titan Sean said.
"With pleasure." Zigfried said drawing his next card and chuckled. "I hate to bring bad news but it looks like your Titans are about to have some bad luck. Allow me to play this. Vengeance of the Valkyries. Now normally your City would protect your Titans but in this case it won't work since by removing one of them from play I can negate that ability and send them to the GraveYard. At least two that is. So I send Gigan and Megalon away." Zigfried said as they vanished.
'Hmph! If they actually saw that they would try to crush him.' Godzilla said.
"Next I play Nibelung's treasure. This lets me draw one Magic card. And I pick Nibelung's ring which lets me equip it to Yonggary." Zigfried said as it came on his neck making him roar as he tried to take it off. "Not as fashionable to human sized monsters but oh well. Now I get to draw five cards. And thanks to this I can now Play my three Goddesses." Zigfried said.
'Why do I not like this?' Godzilla asked.
"Skuld, Verdande and Urd." Zigfried said as they appeared. "Now the first lets me see the top three cards on your deck and arrange them in any way I choose." Zigfried said as they appeared before he gasped in shock seeing what they were in order.
Godzilla, Ghidorah and Destroyah.
"Judging from your face I'd say my future is looking pretty good." Titan Sean said.
"Place the top card on the field." Zigfried said making him do so. "It's the King himself." Zigfiried said as Godzilla appeared before being removed from the game.
"Not a smart move." Titan Sean said before drawing.
"Ah Ah ah. Now my ring makes you draw another card and if both of them are monsters they go to the GraveYard." Zigfried said.
'Oh thats not fair.' Godzilla said as Titan Sean placed them in the Graveyard.
"I activate my face down." Titan Sean said making him look seeing the card he placed down when the duel began before it was revealed.
"Mothra's gift. Heres how it works if Godzilla was removed from play I can bring him back to the field." Titan Sean said shocking him as the King himself appeared and roared loudly into the air making the crowd cheer.

"Of course it does come with a catch. Every Monster you removed or put in your Graveyard comes back." Titan Sean said as they came back in defense mode. "Now I play my Titan Emergence. This allows me to bring back any number of Titans in my graveyard back to the Field. And I only need two." Titan Sean said as Destroyah and Ghidorah appeared and roared.

"And Destroyah can destroy one spell card per turn. So your little ring is gone." Titan Sean said as it went away.
"No!" Zigfried said in shock.
"Now you see why the Titans out class the Ancients. Nothing stands in their way. Yonggary, Destroy and Ghidorah! Destroy his Valkyries." Titan Sean ordered as they blasted his monsters away easily leaving him defenseless.
"It's fun watching myself beat someone in a duel. Now have a taste of Atomic breath." Godzilla said as his duel monster version powered up before blasting Zigfried who yelled in shock as he got blasted and lost the duel.
"Let this be a reminder. Act anything like Mark and attacks like that become real and end you." Titan Sean said as people cheered.
"Now I really wanna duel against those." Sean said.
Now only one duel was left.
