Saving A Friend From Negativity

Chapter 1: The Girl Too Scared To Sing

Deep within the darkest parts of Wonderworld, Lea Thompson appeared to be asleep on the ground. The blonde teen was dreaming about a song played by a music box she was holding. Her dream self stood in front of a large, detailed, theater doorway. The door was black, purple, and gold colored with an odd white bird-like skull mask above.

Before entering, Lea's dream self heard a faint voice.

"My dear girl, before you enter my domain, please leave behind your bracelet to surrender all pain."

Not hesitating, she did just that. The bracelet was removed from her wrist and dropped to the floor. Lea's dream self also placed two more jewels, her Wolfblood necklace plus teardrop pendant, along with an inactive Crystal-Shifter inside the music box that was still being carried in her own arms. The dream then ended with her going through the door and everything became super bright before becoming black as night.

Soon, she slowly woke up with a long yawn before noticing her surroundings. The blonde teen felt confused and less scared while picking herself up.

"Huh? Where am I? What is this place?" Lea wondered, looking around. She decided to keep moving forward.

While still having her everyday clothes on and not pajamas, her magical jewelry appeared nowhere in sight. Her Wolfblood necklace and teardrop pendant were missing...but Lea didn't notice nor realize that. Same with her missing magic bracelet.

It felt like hours when it was only less than a few minutes. But Lea still didn't feel afraid. More curious. Even hoped to find something or someone. To keep herself from being bored, she started humming a tune that just popped into her mind. The same melody from the music box in her dreams. Lea didn't know why she enjoyed this random song. It just seemed to soothe her.

Then, out of nowhere, the blonde teen started singing her own lyrics. Her voice gentle and sincere when beginning the first lyrics.

Lea then twirled and slightly danced in happiness, as she continued singing her heart out on the next verses while not stopping. Her voice getting stronger. The blonde teen barely noticed she was crying when singing towards the final verses. And, strange enough, these were not happy tears.

What she didn't know, was that someone was watching the young girl.

After finishing the song, the blonde teen finally noticed the tears found in her own cheeks for some reason. She was about to wonder why until the sound of clapping coming from behind startled her.

"Bravo! What a performance! Your passion for this song appeared enormous," a voice spoke.

Lea turned around to see a tall, thin man just a small distance in front of her. He had pure white waist length hair, pale white skin, blue eyes, thick black eye shadow with a single black marked tear, and a tight-fitting jumpsuit with a long-sleeved sweater that were accustomed to white and purple colors. Gold outlines were found in his hips and legs of his suit, too, that looked like a heart when put together. Along with tattered cuffs in black and pink. His shoes appeared gold heels with some small rust.

To Lea, he reminded her of someone.

"Why, hello, my dear. What brings you here?" The tall being asked with a gentle smile, giving a small curtsy to her. "Please, do not be frightened of me at first glance. I am the Maestro of Wonderworld, Lance."

Lea titled her head a bit on this, giving an awkward wave. "Uh…Hi, Lance. I honestly don't know why I'm here. What about you? Also, you said you're a maestro of what again?"

"Wonderworld. It is my domain, of course. I was led by your beautiful voice as the source," he answered, taking her right hand gently before kissing it. "Never have I heard such gorgeous singing in all my years. You have a gift that is such a treat for the ears."

"Oh. That's…very flattering," she said, lost in her words while blushing a little. "Um, thank you?"

He grinned, only to look concerned suddenly. "Forgive me in being rude, but are you not feeling cold? While we are not in very high altitude, few ever come to this area unless they are bold."

The blonde teen shrugged in response. "I never noticed this place being cold. Guess I'm just used to it. Not to mention everything here looks the same and I feel like I've been going around in circles."

"Well, I can show you around, if you like. I do not wish to leave you with sickness ready to strike," Lance offered. "I know the perfect place to warm you and your heart. A cozy cabin to stay inside and admire the landscape's natural art."

"That does sound very nice," Lea noted, believing her options are limited here. "All right, Lance. Lead the way."

"Splendid!" He exclaimed, scooping the young teen up without warning when using his arms to secure her. "Be sure to hold on tight. For we are about to take flight."

"What are you-AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Lea didn't finish that sentence, as she felt herself being lifted in the air so quickly. She closed her eyes in fear while pressing her face against Lance's chest. It's as if the blonde teen never flew in her life before.

An amused chuckle was heard from the maestro carrying her. "I understand this may start out hectic, but there is no reason to panic. Open your eyes on what you see, for Wonderworld is your home to be."

Although unsure, Lea took a small glance with one eye to witness the magical view from below. Both eyes were open wide with wonder, as many neon color swirls stood out in what looked like night skies. Dazzling magenta crystals formed in the shape of a heart moved the same way as a working grandfather clock. She even saw giant snowflakes and crystal roses growing in a certain area. To her, it looked like a garden made of glass.

"Lance, this is beautiful!" Lea shouted, no longer scared. "I've never experienced anything so exhilarating before!"

"I knew you would, as was my aim," Lance said, not leaving his grin. "By the way, what is your name? Sorry for not asking earlier, but I was distracted in being a worrier."

"Oh, that's okay. My name is…is…," she looked a bit lost in that subject to a point of placing her right hand on her head. "I…I honestly don't know. I can't seem to remember anything about myself. My name, where I'm from, not even if I have a family or not."

"No need to worry, my dear. I will help you with that, when the cabin is near. Until then, as we pass the horizon, you shall be called Snow Siren," the maestro announced.

"Snow Siren?" Lea questioned, finding it a little odd.

"Something that matches your cold endurance and lovely voice," Lance explained." However, if you do not agree, then I will let you pick a name of your own choice."

Lea gave it some thought before answering, "Nah, I like the name you gave me. Sounds unique."

And so, the blonde teen, who now goes by Snow Siren, continued her flying journey with the friendly maestro. Little does she know, that everything in this place is not all positive as it seems.

In a regular night at the city that never sleeps, New York, around the streets, a figure was pedaling in a hurry on their bike. Whoever was riding it appeared to be breathing heavily and had on a jacket. The figure didn't stop pedaling until they reached the entrance of the Golden Goose bookstore. The person quickly got off the bike, went up the door, and started knocking vigorously.

From the other side of the door, Katherine came out the back in her robe plus dagger.

"Who would be coming here this late in the hour?" The storekeeper questioned, being cautious while heading to the door. "This better be another one of Jack Frost's pranks and not the alternative."

Katherine has been a guardian long enough to come across enemies locating her and trying to take her down. So, whoever might be at her front door could be dangerous.

She reached the knob, unlocked the door, and opened it while keeping her guard plus dagger up.

To her surprise, the person knocking at her door turned out to be Jamie Bennett. And he looked tired plus worried. Not to mention still wearing his pajamas with a jacket covering him.

"Jamie? What in Ghost Writer's name are you doing here?" Katherine asked, sensing it's not a nightmare creature nor anything bad disguised as the young boy. "You shouldn't be out in the city this late at night. In fact, aren't you supposed to be back home in Pennsylvania enjoying your family reunion?"

The Bennett family and Thompson family recently started having a reunion, after many years of not being together since losing two eldest members close to them. Although their children had been keeping in touch for a long time, the adults felt like they needed this in catching up. Lea and her cousins convinced their own parents in having this in order to make up for lost time and spend the next few weeks together at the Bennett house in Burgess, Pennsylvania.

"Couldn't...wait...had to...find the Guardians," Jamie said, still catching his breath.

Knowing the boy needs time to recover, Katherine brought Jamie plus the bike inside so it wouldn't get stolen. She set the young boy down to a comfy chair and gave him a glass of water. The Guardian of Imagination watched Jamie drink it all down. She waited until the boy was ready to talk.

"Thanks...I needed that," he said, finishing his glass of water.

"No problem, Jamie. So, what brings you here to the Golden Goose bookstore so late that couldn't wait until morning?" Katherine questioned gently; a bit curious. "Didn't Lea tell you how unsafe it is to be in the city this dark alone? She'll be scared out of her wits, if she hears what you did."

Jamie looked down in sadness, as if what Katherine said struck a nerve.

"...Is this about Lea?" She questioned, studying the boy's body language.

"Yes. She's gone missing and I think she's been kidnapped!" Jamie replied in panic, placing his hands on his head. "I don't know what happened! One minute, after feeling like getting a midnight snack, I heard noises coming from the guest room at my house. Then the next, after I opened it, she wasn't in there! I used a snow globe to see if Lea ended up at her own house first. Maybe she teleported to her room or something. Since I didn't have another snow globe nor found one in Lea's room, I used her old bike to get here and tell you."

"Okay, calm down, Jamie. Let's not jump to conclusions just yet," Katherine said, rubbing the boy's arms to help him relax. "How do you know Lea is in danger? What makes you think she's been captured?"

"Because I found this when I entered at her guest room!" Jamie said, taking something out of his jacket pocket to show. "Lea never leaves without it!"

The object revealed to be Lea's Crystal Bracelet. This shocked Katherine and made her realize Jamie may be right about Lea kidnapped.

"What about Nightlight?" She asked.

"I didn't see him either," the boy said.

Now the Guardian of Imagination began to get a sinking feeling. "Come on," she said. "We're going to the get the Guardians."

Redbat132's words: The song Lea sings is called 'Promised Neverland - "Isabella's Lullaby" | Original Lyrics | AmaLee'. You may find that in YouTube.

Also, to be clear, it's my first try in doing Lance with the rhymes while trying to gain Lea's trust. Think of it as Lance's return after the end of the game/novel. When being back in his shadow/corrupted form again, he made a deal plus alliance with Pitch Black aka The Boogeyman. Lance may keep Lea forever while having her memories locked up and, in return, Pitch gets revenge on the Guardians in Wonderworld who plan to rescue the blonde teen. Hope you enjoy this.

To Redbat132: I think it's safe to say this is going to be quite the adventure. :)

To everyone else: Please leave Redbat132 and myself a review, but no flames! Any flames will be used for North's forge to help create more toys. :)
