Hi! Pointlessness here with my first fic! In this fic Wuya goes a little too far in her bantering of Jack. She then actually apologizes! OMG! It's a sign of the apocalypse! Slight WuyaxJack. Before Chase. Slight OOC. Short and sweet.
Motherly Instincts
"I can't believe you! Why can't you win Xiaolin Showdown's? I swear you're as useless as a chimpanzee! At least they are entertaining though," screamed an infuriated Wuya.
"At least I got you a body," Jack said softly. Over the last month Jack had found a lock of Wuya's hair from when Raimundo had turned her into a human. With an experimental cloning device, he managed to spawn a copy of the body Wuya had. This, however, was not a full cloning and now the only things Wuya can do magically is fly. But she can still scratch with her claw-like hands.
"I can't even use magic in this form!" the witch yelled. "Your pathetic."
A faint, muffled, choking noise reached her ears. "What is it now Jack?"
He didn't answer. Wuya put a hand on his shoulder, her brows creased with slight concern. "Jack?"
Again he didn't answer. Wuya walked around the side of Jack's bed, hand still on his shoulder. "Jack, are you alright?" He looked up at her, tears in his eyes. Wuya's eyes widened a little.
"Look, Jack, I'm sorry." She said.
"No you're not," he said, his voice a little higher than usual.
"Yes, I really am."
Jack didn't answer, as the tears finally broke through and streamed down his face. Wuya was moved with sympathy, a feeling she didn't usually have. She also felt a sort of love for Jack.
Wuya walked around Jack, sat on his bed, and pulled him into a hug. Jack sank into the embrace. Wuya rocked him back and forth slightly, like a mother.
"Can you please tell me what's wrong?" she asked.
"W-w-well," he started, his body racking with silent sobs, "m-my p-parents cut me off of my m-money and nearly d-disowned me."
"Oh my God. …well…"
"Yes?"
"Okay, here's the deal. You work harder on retrieving the shen gong wu, and I'll be sort of like your unofficial aunt."
"You would do that?"
Of course. Anything for you."
"Thank you." Jack said, fully relaxing against Wuya's body. She, in response, hugged him tighter. Even though the front of her dress was slightly damp, she was comfortable.
After Jack had fallen asleep, Wuya tucked him in and walked towards the door. She turned around, looked at Jack's sleeping form, and shut off the light.
"Good night, my Jackie," she said, closing the door and walking to the guest room that she inhabited.
Wow! Who knew that Wuya could be sympathetic. Anyways, flame me (not that I really care) and I will gather my gothic friends and curse you to death. Please review!
