AN: Well, I got a little bit of them getting married in this chapter; best I could do, can't imagine writing out them saying a bunch of vows and stuff. So, that part I skipped over, and this is in Loki's POV again; there is a reason like I said, there is some action towards the end, not too much, something I made up to have both action and extra chapter.

Disclaimer: I Owe Nothing

Chapter 12: A Wedding and Blue Aliens.

Loki could tell Saphira was getting annoyed by the lady's endless chatter; it was three hours since they left Selvig and the tesseract back in the underground tunnel after spending some time with Saphira showing him around Las Vegas, then an hour in a jewelry store trying to find the perfect rings, according to Saphira they had to be the perfect ones. Loki didn't mind her taking her time, though, anything to make her happy; he partly blamed himself for her getting locked in the dungeons and felt he had to make it up to her.

After the jewelry store, they spent thirty minutes trying to find a place to marry; Saphira chose a cute little chapel owned and operated by a middle-aged married couple. And at the moment, they have spent twenty minutes filling out paperwork to be able to get married; it could have been quicker if the lady, who Loki believes said her name was Jill, would stop interrupting them with endless stories of previous couples that have gotten married there.

By the time they were ready to say the vows, Loki himself got annoyed when Jill had insisted they had done some Midgardain tradition of the bride having something old, something borrowed, something new, and something blue; Loki didn't understand the point in all this, and really, all he wanted to do was marry his love and get the hell out of this place. But it was all solved quickly. Saphira's dress was something blue; Jill loaned her a bouquet to hold that was the something borrowed, Saphira's engagement ring something new, and her great grandmother's necklace the something old.

Finally, Jill's husband Bill (Loki found their name's amusing ) stepped forward to marry them; the couple had no problem with them using Asgardain vows in their language, thinking it was some small county they didn't know about, they even allowed them to take the time to gift each other something from each of their family's, Saphira had shocked Loki by giving him a pair off boots that once belonged to her favorite Uncle, the Ljosalfar themselves made them, while wearing them you could run up anything, from buildings to waterfalls. When Loki asked if she was sure, Saphira smiled and said yes, then Loki gifted Saphira a fancy jeweled dagger that had once belonged to Frigga. Jill, of course, found all this adorable. After all that, Loki was a little annoyed to learn they still had to say the Midgardain vows to make it official here, but luckily they weren't very long and took no time to get to the last parts.

"I do," Loki said, grinning at Saphira as he slipped the wedding band on her finger; it was a gold band that was covered to look like tiny leaves all around; with a small blue diamond in the middle of each leaf. After Loki slipped the ring on, he brought Saphira's hand up to his mouth and kissed it; then, she had to say the Midgarian vows, which Saphira did with a smile.

"I do, " Saphira said, then pushed the ring that matched hers on Loki's finger, and she looked as happy as Loki felt. Finally, after being pronounced husband and wife, Loki was told he could kiss his bride. He grinned wider, put his arms around Saphira's waist while hers went around his neck; Loki pulled her closer to him, leaned in, and made sure he kissed her, more passionate than he ever did before.

After being announced, Mr. and Mrs. Odinson (they had no other name they could use), Loki thought they were finally getting to leave, but Jill insisted on taking their picture; Loki would have refused if it hadn't been for Saphira liking the idea. After the photo, Barton had to sign as a witness, and because they needed two, Jill volunteered to be the second.

If this hadn't been the happiest day of his life, Loki would have been aggravated by the time they left the chapel, as it took them nearly two hours. But Loki decided not to let it put him in a bad mood on his wedding night; it was a lovely clear night when they stepped outside, the lights on the buildings surrounding them looked beautiful, and the slight breeze felt good. Yep, Loki was staying in his good mood.

"Barton, go find us a car," Loki ordered; Barton gave a nod and jogged off in search of one; he teleported the three there, but Loki felt like having a ride to Saphira's house, plus he didn't know where it was to teleport there.

"Hey, Loke Loke," Saphira said, pulling on Loki's arm to get his attention.

"Darling, please don't call me that," Loki said, turning to her; Saphira ignored his request and pointed to a very tall building that was far down the street; it was a very tall building made of windows, with a goldish color tint over them, a sign at the top light up reading "The Tenth Realm Casino Hotel."

"That's Enid's casino." Saphira said, "At the very top is where our penthouse apartment is." She dropped her hand and frowned. "Though I guess it's just Enid's now."

"Do you wish to stop in and see your sister, love?" Loki asked, laying his hand on Saphira's back. She looked longingly at the casino then shook her head.

"I can't, might put her in danger; I don't want them to find out about her," Saphira answered. Loki felt bad that Saphira was upset because her sister was so close but couldn't visit her at the moment.

"Probably for the best, darling," Loki said, putting his arm around her, just then, Barton pulled up next to them in a very long car, and the smile returned to Saphira's face.

"I can't believe it he stole someone's limousine." Saphira cried, laughing; Loki frowned at how fast her mood changed; it went from happy to depressed to happy again; he tried not to worry about her mental health, but it was hard not to. Maybe he just needed to get her out of Las Vegas and away from Enid's casino so she won't be thinking about her sister.

Saphira laughing real hard brought Loki out of his thoughts, and he turned to his left to see Barton had gotten out of the car, and Saphira had reached into the driver side window and gotten out the driver's cap, and put it on Barton's head and said:

"You have to look the part."

"Doesn't the driver open the door also," Loki asked; Barton walked over and opened the back door, and Loki helped Saphira before getting in himself. Barton shut the door and got in the driver's seat. Saphira gave him her address to put into the GPS, then closed the little window between the back and front seat and sat back as Barton drove down the road.

"I can get used to this." Saphira grinned as she looked around the back.

"Yes, I do believe we will invest in one of these to get around in once we are rulers of this realm," Loki announced.

"That we will, oh, hey, look what I found," Saphira said.

Loki looked her way to see her holding up a bottle of champagne and two glasses; Loki smiled and patted the seat next to him, Saphira moved over to sit closer to him, then handed Loki the bottle, he opened it, filling one glass for her and one for him. Saphira raised her glass.

"To us, the most adorable couple ever and future rulers of Midgard," Saphira said.

"To us," Loki replied and lightly clicked his glass to hers. Saphira grinned as she took a drink of champagne. For the rest of the ride, she and Loki chatted, drunk champagne, and kissed each other.

When they finally made it to Saphira's house, Barton dropped them off and drove off, heading back to where Selvig was; as Loki ordered him, he would dump the car somewhere then catch a plane to New York. After Saphira unlocked the door, then showed Loki how to turn off the alarm, she turned to him and asked.

"Would you like a tour of our house?" Saphira asked, putting her arms around Loki.

"Our house?" Loki asked, raising an eyebrow and wrapping his arms around her.

"We are married now, so whatever is mine is yours and whatever is yours is mine," Saphira answered.

"Ah, I see." Loki leaned in and kissed her, then pulled away and scooped Saphira up in his arms. Saphira laughed as she put her arms around Loki. "You can show me the tour later; right now, I want to know where our bedroom is." Saphira laughed again and pointed Loki in the direction of the bedroom.

Loki was sitting at Saphira's kitchen table; it was the following day, and he was drinking a glass of champagne; he had taken it out of the limousine Barton had stolen in Las Vegas last night. He has been up for hours, not getting any sleep last night; even after Saphira had fallen asleep, that was okay though, for some reason, not getting much sleep never affected Loki; he wondered if it had anything to do with the jotuun blood in him, Loki really should research them, the only things Loki had heard were terrible, and probably should know how being jotuun might affect his body, what abilities he has, and everything.

Like him, his now sister-in-law loved to read, so earlier, Loki went into the room Saphira had said was hers and looked through the books Enid had on her shelves; he brought all the Norse Mythology books out of her room and to the kitchen where he has been looking through them, but so far were there not only mostly about the gods, all these stories were false, these books read like a work of fiction, and it was starting to annoy Loki. He took another drink from his glass, closed the book he was reading, and grabbed another one; hopefully, this one wasn't a fairytale.

Once he opened the book, his eyes fell on his wedding band; he put his glass down and thought back to last night and smiled; there was a reason Loki didn't get any sleep last night and a reason Saphira didn't get to sleep until almost time for the sun to rise.

Last night, during a bit of break from their fun, Saphira showed Loki around. Even though this house was a decent size, it was tiny compared to the palace Loki grew up in on Asgard or the large manor Saphira grew up in; Loki surprised himself by liking it; it was perfect for him and his new bride to have time alone in, and he loved how isolated it was, though it could be somewhere a little cooler. Saphira assured him if he got too hot, they could turn the air conditioner on at full blast if need to. She even showed him how to work it. So far, though, that hadn't been needed. However, it was on, just at a standard-setting.

Loki turned from his ring back to the book; he had no idea what time it was, but he would guess sometime after midday; it had been hours since he watched the sunrise, and Loki hoped Saphira would be getting up soon; but didn't want to wake her, but needed to see how things were going with the cube, he would try and be patient though, Saphira hadn't been getting sleep lately; unlike him, not getting sleep did affect her.

As he was flipping through the book, he found a page about him; intrigued, Loki decided to see if they got anything right; as Loki read, he picked up his champagne, took a drink, Then spit it back out.

"I bloody did not." Loki cried out in anger, then heard someone laughing; he looked to the doorway to see Saphira standing there; her hair was wet like she had just taken a shower, and she wearing a bathrobe. "What are you laughing at, darling?"

"I know what book that is," Saphira said, walking over and sitting across from him. "I threw it across the room once; if you are looking for useful information, you won't find any about us in those books; midgardains are freaking weird sometimes."

"And disgusting," Loki dramatically said as he slammed the book closed, deciding he didn't need to know what else was in there. He grabbed his now empty glass and walked over to the counter where the bottle sat to refill it.

"What were you looking for in these anyway?" Saphira asked, picking up one of the books and flipping through it.

"I was hoping to find information on the jotuun," Loki answered as he poured his drink, then quickly explained why.

"Sorry, sweetie, but the myth books in this realm barely even mention them," Saphira answered. "At least none Enid has read, and if they did, probably wouldn't be the truth."

"Yeah, I realize that," Loki replied. "After we win, I'll have to figure out how to get some from other realms." Loki walked back over to his seat and sat down.

"Though one of these books does have a rather interesting story about Thor having a son with a Jotuun," Saphira said. Loki paused in taking a drink and raised his eyebrow.

"I'll be reading that story." Loki grinned. "Maybe I should take another trip to Jotunheim to see if it's true." Saphira laughed.

"Thor would not be happy if he knew Midgardains think that," Saphira said, then grinned. "Maybe I'll get him one of these books as a gift."

"You know Thor, darling; he would never read it." Loki pointed out. He sat his glass down.

"Speaking of jotuun, I just thought of something," Saphira said.

"What might that be, love?" Loki asked.

"Remember how Jill insisted we do that Midgardain tradition thing?" Saphira asked with a smirk. "You could have been our something blue."

"Darling, you are not funny," Loki replied, but as Saphira laughed, Loki couldn't help but smile; he has almost accepted what he was and could even control a lot of the jotuun abilities, and turn to his jotuun form without the Casket now, Saphira accepting him, not treating him any different and even joking about it, helped him a lot, and though Loki would never regret killing Laufey, a part of him did regret trying to destroy Jotunhiam. He could go there and find out for himself what they are like; all the horror stories he heard as a child couldn't count for all the jotuun. He wasn't like that, but he also was only half.

"Sweetheart." Loki said, "Whenever you get dressed, I want to go check on the cube."

"But, I thought this week was just you and I spending time together," Saphira answered. She was pouting a little, which amused Loki.

"It will be," Loki answered, "I promise, but first, I need to make sure everything is going right with the tesseract; after today, I'll wait a few days before going and checking on it again."

"Fine, just let me go get ready." Saphira stood, "I'm starving anyway and considering there hasn't been anyone living here for months, I doubt there is any edible food here."

Saphira left the room, and Loki finished his drink, then stood; and as he walked into the living room to wait for his wife and get his scepter, green magic swirled around him, and the t-shirt and boxers he had slipped on after his shower that morning, turned into the black leather outfit he had on last night.

Saphira took forty minutes to get dress, and of course, put on makeup and fix her hair. Loki was sitting in a chair in the living room, looking around, when Saphira finally showed up. She chose to wear black leggings and a pink blouse, and of course, she was still wearing the Phoenix necklace she has become attached to wearing. Loki frowned when he noticed her bare feet.

"You'll need shoes, darling," Loki told her; Saphira looked down at her feet then rolled her eyes.

"I forgot." She said, leaving the room and jogging back down the hallway; Loki shook his head with a smile but then heard Saphira cry out, and there was the sound of something hitting the floor; Loki jumped up and went running down the hallway to come up on Saphira on the floor.

"Darling, what happened," Loki asks as he helped her to stand; Saphira's face turned red.

"My stupid bare feet slid on the hardwood floor," Saphira replied. "It made me fall." Now that Loki knew his wife was okay and that no one was attacking her, Loki started laughing; he didn't mean to; it was a combination of Saphira's red face and his relief that someone hadn't broken in and attacked her.

"It isn't funny," Saphira said, entering her room; Loki followed, trying to get the smile off his face.

"I am sorry, love, I'm just relieved you are okay," Loki told her, "I heard you cry out and thought you were being attacked," Saphira said nothing as she slipped on a pair of shoes, then turned back to Loki.

"You remember this is our honeymoon week, right?" Saphira asks, "Not a good time to get your wife mad at you."

With that, Saphira left the room, and the smile dropped from Loki's face as he followed her down the hallway, apologizing. When Loki entered the living room, Saphira turned to him smiling and kissed him. The smile was back on Loki's face as he picked up his scepter and then put his arm around Saphira's waist; they disappeared and reappeared in the tunnels. Selvig was working on the cube.

Loki and Saphira held hands as they walked down the tunnel; when they came upon Barton, Loki stopped and told him to steal him the blueprints to Stark Tower; Barton had nodded and walked off, and Loki and Saphira walked on into the tunnel to find Selvig. They found him where they had left him last night; he looked as if he hadn't slept all night as he worked around the tesseract, building something.

"I talked to Barton," Selvig said the moment he saw them. "So, you guys went through with it, eh?" Saphira held up her left hand, and Selvig shook his head.

"We are not here to talk about our personal life," Loki told him. "I came to see how things are coming along with the cube."

"Everything is going great." Selvig said, "I have done almost all I could until I get the iridium; but, it's still going a little slow; there is one thing I could use that might help out a lot."

"Go on, explain," Loki demanded.

"I had a buddy some years ago, worked for the military, back then I didn't believe a lot of what he claimed, but after New Mexico, I have become more open-minded," Selvig said. "There is this one thing my friend used to go on and on about, even though it was supposed to be top secret, but he knew he could trust me and had to tell someone."

"Get to the point, or we are leaving," Loki ordered, getting annoyed by his endless story.

"Anyway, this unique tool, I guess you would call it." Selvig went on, "My friend told me the government thought if they learned to work it, operate it, that it might be the key, a doorway to other worlds or dimensions. My friend and his colleagues never were able to get it to work, figure out how to use it, but they never had the tesseract; what if it could get it to work? It could help make the portal big enough to let your entire army in and might even speed up our work, get it done faster."

"Where is it?" Loki demanded, "What does it look like?"

"I have a picture," Selvig said; he walked over to the side. "My friend gave me proof to hide just in case he said; then disappeared on me, never saw him again. I haven't thought of this in years, but last night I went and got this out of its hiding place." He came back over to their side, carrying a picture and what looked like two rolled-up maps, and spared them out. Selvig showed Loki the photo first. It was a device of some kind. About four to five feet tall, and round at the top and a square concert bottom. "It will not be easy to get."

"Are you sure this object is still there?" Loki demanded, "These maps look old."

"They are over twenty years old, but believe me; these people never get rid of anything," Selvig said. "I wouldn't doubt if they still have people working on it. My friend did for nearly fifteen years."

"Where is this?" Loki demanded.

"Military base in Nevada, known as Area 51," Selvig answered.

"Area 51." Saphira demanded, laughing, "you must be joking."

"What is Area 51?" Loki asks.

"As Selvig said, it's a Midgardain Military base." Saphira explains, "Very secretive, for years the government denied it exists, it's become sort of a myth, Midgardains believe they have alien spaceships there hidden, some even think they have bodies of aliens, experimenting on them. There are even pictures online of little green aliens that are supposed to be who they are experimenting on."

"You're right, darling." Loki said, "Midgardains can be weird."

"They'll be fun to rule over, though," Saphira told him; Loki smiled at her, then turned back to Selvig.

"Look, all that alien stuff is probably false, but there is a base there, and it's untelling what goes on inside it," Selvig said, "Saphira, you lived in Las Vegas; I'm sure you drove by it a time or two."

"It's not too far from my house." Saphira answered, "They have armed guards all over, signs all over warning you if you step foot there, they will shoot you."

"Do you know where this device is in this building?" Loki demanded."Be a lot easier if we didn't have to search for it."

"There is a map right here." Selvig unfolded a small hand-drawn map and pointed to a room circled in red ink. "This other map is a map of the surrounding area thought it might come in handy. Won't be easy, might need more than you two."

"Dr. Selvig, Saphira, and I are gods," Loki replied, then turned to Saphira. "Feel like invading a secret military base with me?"

"You mean sneak into Area 51 to steal something?" Saphira grinned. "I have wanted to do that for years." Loki put his finger under Saphira's chin and leaned her head up a little to look at him; he gave her a peck on the lips; when he pulled back, he grinned at her.

"Darling, I think you have spent too much time on Midgard," Loki told her.

"Hey, are you calling me weird?" Saphira demanded.

"Of course not, love," Loki answered, then he gave her another kiss before pulling away.

"Neither of you is what I would call normal," Selvig said, folding the map up; Loki turned to him.

"Normal does not exist, not in the way you think of it," Loki told him. "What is normal for one person may not be to another."

"What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly," Saphira replied. They both turned and looked at her. She shrugged. "I got that from Morticia Addams."

"Who?" Loki demanded, looking confused. Saphira dramatically sighed, as if him not knowing who Morticia Addams is disappointed her.

"I know what we are going to be binge-watching later, " Saphira said. Loki said nothing; he turned back to Selvig.

"Give us four or five, maybe six hours tops, and we will bring you this device you need," Loki replied, taking the pictures and maps from Selvig. "My wife wants food first; then we'll go to this base and get this machine." He turned back to Saphira and handed them to her, then put his arm around her. "Ready, darling."

"Yep," Saphira answered, "I'm starving."

When Loki and Saphira appeared back in Nevada, they first found a store and did a little grocery shopping, then went to a fast food place and got them some food, then went back to Saphira's to eat as they went over the maps and planned. Or more like Saphira watched Loki go over the map and plan.

"I think our best option is for me is to put a concealing spell on you; I distract them, and you sneak in and get the device," Loki said. "Put it in our pocket dimension; it will be easier for you to get back out, not having to carry it."

"And what if this thing isn't even there?" Saphira answered.

"We go back and kill Selvig," Loki answered.

"That would have to wait until he gets the portal open." Saphira replied, "Then you can kill him."

"Indeed," Loki replied.

They spent about two hours at Saphira's house eating and planning; then they decided to get the device Selvig said he needed and appeared on the street right next to Area 51, Loki learning the street's name from the map Selvig gave him. They stood in front of the fence, looking in as Loki used magic to hide both of them so as not to be seen until they wanted to be.

"How will you distract them?" Saphira asked.

"I figured an attack by aliens should do it," Loki replied; Saphira looked at him. "I'm no little green alien, but how about a tall blue one?" And with that, Loki turned into his jotuun form, and Saphira grinned.

"That should do it," Saphira replied; she then stepped closer to him and kissed him before pulling away, "Good Luck, and be careful, please."

"Same to you, my love," Loki replied. He kissed her again. "Try not to worry over me; it'll just distract you, sneak in, get the device and get out."

"I'll try." Saphira replied, "And the same goes for you."

Saphira took off into the base, Loki the only one able to see her, watched until she got out of his sight. Then trying not to worry about her, Loki entered the base himself, whispering a spell that sent dozens of his doubles all over Area 51 as Loki walked until he got to the area a lot of military people were walking about hanging by trucks and fooling with machines. Loki dropped his concealment and walked right into the middle of them; at first, they didn't notice, all being too busy doing various things, so Loki pointed his scepter at a jeep parked a few feet away, the jeep exploded with a loud bang, making some people duck and cover others turned towards Loki.

"Hello." Loki grinned; "In a few short days, I'll be your new King, so if you would like to go ahead and kneel to me, great. Bows and sworn oaths are also acceptable." At first, they all just stared, then pulled out their guns and aimed at him.

"Freeze." One cried; Loki turned to him.

"Well, if you insist," Loki said, then thrust out a hand and froze the man.

The military people started shooting at Loki, but like back at SHIELD, the bullets did not hit him, they bounced off him; as he blasted back at them with the scepter, then ran forward, blasting soldiers with either magic or his scepter, at one point he even sent ice circles at them. The longer Loki was in his jotuun form, the colder it got around him, as the ground was icing over wherever he walked. A few military men came up to Loki, who flipped one over his shoulder, got one with a dagger, and blasted the other away with magic.

An alarm soon blurred, and he could hear more trucks coming and people shouting orders; something announced that there was an attack; Loki ran into the opposite direction as to where Saphira would be, hoping to draw them away from her. Loki left a trail of ice behind, causing the trucks and jeeps to have to stop as they slipped and slid all over the pathway.

Loki came upon a big field, and stopped running, and turned back to the guys chasing him and waited; behind him were dozens of his fake doubles he had sent out all over the base, all holding a scepter in their hand, and when Loki blasted at them with it, so did the doubles, of course, they couldn't hurt the soldiers, but they gave off the illusion that they could, Loki planned to use them to escape. He just needed to provide Saphira with enough time to get the device and get out.

As Loki stood there waiting to make his escape, the ground was rumbling; and dozens of armored men, even a few tanks, surrounded him; Loki decided Saphira should have gotten the device by now and that he probably should get out of there.

"Well, to most men, this would be a problem." Loki said, "but I am not like most men." And with that, Loki disappeared, reappearing on the road; he got a little worried when Saphira wasn't out there yet, then there was an explosion towards the way Saphira was Loki looked and saw lots of smoke and flames. He was about to go back to the base to find his wife, hopefully alive and well, but then he heard a car coming and turned and saw Saphira driving up in a jeep she had stolen; seeing him standing in the road, she slammed on the breaks.

"Need a ride, handsome?" Saphira demanded, smiling; Loki got in, and Saphira speed off as Loki turned back to his usual form.

"I saw that explosion and got worried; what happened?" Loki demanded.

"I got to the machine just fine; it was on my way back. I ran into trouble." Saphira explained. "Your spell wore off me, baby; I panicked and started throwing fire everywhere and ran; I guess it spared to something explosive after I got out."

"Wore off?" Loki frowned; he couldn't remember a spell of his just wearing off before, then again, he and Saphira did get pretty far from each other, and he was using more magic. He will have to come up with a way to solve this, in case she ever has to hide from view again.

"It's okay, sweetie, don't feel bad about it; I got out," Saphira said.

"Do you always drive like this?" Loki asked as Saphira made the jeep go even faster.

"Yep, " Saphira laughed as she speeds up; she looked in the rearview mirror. "Especially when being followed."

Loki turned in the seat and looked behind them, and sure enough, they were a couple of military trucks and jeeps chasing them.

"I don't think we are going to lose them. Damn, take the wheel." Saphira demanded.

"What?" Loki demanded; he looked at her in time to see her jump out of the driver seat and kind of float in the air; the jeep swerved toward the side of the road, and Loki jumped in the driver's side, and turned the wheel trying to put the car back on the street, then slammed on the break, not knowing which was which; he was lucky he guessed right.

Loki turned around in time to see Saphira land on the ground, then to Loki's shock, she punched the road as hard as she could. The ground began to shake, and the road cracked, then caved in and pulled apart; she had made a mini earthquake to break the road so they couldn't follow. The first truck that came upon it fell in with the back sticking out; it was then hit by the one behind it, all the other though was able to stop.

Saphira turned around and headed back to the jeep, where Loki moved back into the passenger set. Saphira speeds off, driving as fast as the jeep would go until she reached her house, then turned into her driveway, drove on past the house, then turned and parked the jeep in the back, turned it off, then grabbed her right hand and cried out.

"Fuck, that hurt." Saphira rubbed her hand and checked it over.

"Of course it did; you punched concert," Loki replied. He reached over and gently took her hand in his and looked it over. It was okay, no scarps, cuts, or bruises, nothing, which was good. "What possessioned you to do such a thing?"

"I got caught up in the moment, I guess," Saphira replied, pulling her hand back and looking at it.

"Obviously, " Loki replied, "You did jump out of a very fast-moving vehicle, telling your husband to take the wheel when he has never driven before."

"Sorry, " Saphira winched. "I didn't think I forget you don't drive, baby."

Saphira looked down at her hand; the pain was gone, but she was feeling bad. Yeah, if Loki had wrecked, it wouldn't have killed him, but still, she needed to start thinking things through; she turned to Loki to apologize again, to see him smiling at her.

"Life with you sure isn't going to be dull, is it, my love?" Loki asked her, taking her hand and kissing it.

"You should have known that before marrying me." Saphira grinned at him. "We have known it is other for centuries." Then she leaned and kissed him.

"Let's go get that machine to Selvig, then go home and spend the rest of the day in bed," Loki suggested.

"I like that idea," Saphira answered, leaning in for another kiss.

Erik Selvig was still in that tunnel working with the tesseract, the thing he sent Loki and Saphira after; he could probably build himself, he had instruction and stuff from his friend, plus all that work he did with Jane Foster, but a part of Selvig was still there, and even though a part of his mind still obeyed the ones controlling him, apart of his mind did not. He sent Loki and Saphira to get that machine, partly hoping they would get caught. But the part of him under control was hoping to get it to save the time and effort of building his own.

Selvig turned around to get a tool and jumped, startled; Loki and Saphira stood there, both grinning; the device he sent them after was sitting in front of them.

"Was this what you needed?" Loki demanded, patting the top of it with the hand that wasn't holding that damn scepter.

"You did it?" Selvig cried out, a little surprised and a little disappointed; Loki smirked.

"Do not sound so surprised, Dr. Selvig," Loki told him. "As I said, Saphira and I are gods."

AN I know probably a little silly; I made up the device thing to have something for Loki and Saphira to do, and yes, I put it in Area 51 as a joke; it's supposed to be that thing the tesseract is in when opening the portal, Selvig has a little control of his mind, I get from how he was aware enough to make it where the scepter could close it.

AN I looked up Viking weddings once when starting this story and read they used to gift each other something that belonged to their families; I thought that was sweet, so I added it in.

The boots Saphira gave Loki, he actually has a pair like that in the comic is series Loki: Agent of Asgard; he briefly mentioned stealing them from the Ljosalfar, so, in my story, this is how Loki gets them.

I have been trying to make Loki a mixer of MCU Loki and comic Loki, newer comics Loki anyway. However, I am not sure if I am doing a very good job with I hope this chapter was okay, I just wrote it wasn't one already written.
