AN Here is the big battle and more "borrowed" charters, a lot going on in this chapter; hopefully, it isn't confusing.

Chapter 19: A Battle Lost
"Turn off the tesseract, or I will destroy it," Thor demanded as Loki and Saphira walked out on the balcony.
"There is no stopping it," Loki replied.
"There has to be some way," Thor said; he looked at Saphira, who held her hands up and backed away a little.
"No way, I'm not going anywhere near that damn thing again." She said; Thor frowned at her and looked her face over; he was confused about why Saphira would be scared of the tesseract.
"You do not have to, my love," Loki said, glaring at Thor. "As I said, it's too late; there is no stopping it now."
"Then I will make you," Thor said, rushing toward Loki, who held up his scepter and ran toward Thor; he ducked as Loki tried to hit him with it. Then Loki ducked Thor, trying to hit him; he shot a blast from his scepter at Thor, it knocked him back a little bit. He came back up and struck Loki; Thor stumbled back again, then sent a small lighting bolt towards Loki, he moved out of the way, and instead, it hit one of the letters on the building, making it fall to the ground.
As Thor and Loki beat each other up, a jet appeared, coming in low next to the tower and started shooting at Loki; Saphira frowned, one it pissed her off that they would dare attack Loki, second, wasn't Thor supposed to be on their side, what if they accidentally hit him, the idiots. Saphira made a fireball appear in her hand and then tossed it at the jet; the fire hit its wing, causing the plane to go out of control and crash. The commotion temporarily stopped Loki and Thor's fight. They both looked to the jet, everyone on board excited unhurt; Saphira felt terrible when she saw Enid; she wouldn't have sent fire at it if Saphira had known her sister was on it. Enid looked up towards the building then started running towards it, and Saphira turned her attention back to Thor and Loki.
Loki tried to take advantage of the distraction, and lifted the scepter and ran toward Thor, who grabbed hold of it and jerked it out of Loki's hands, tossing it aside; he kicked Loki knocking him down, then grabbed him by the back of the neck, jerked him up and made him look up over the edge.
"Thor, stop, leave him alone." Saphira cried, she walked over to them and tried to pull Thor off Loki, but he just ignored her attempt and kept his attention on Loki.
"Look at it," Thor demanded. "Look at the destruction, the carnage you did it."
"Thor," Saphira said, pulling on his arm and punching him, but suddenly Enid was there; she grabbed Saphira, pulled her off of Thor, grabbed the back of her head, and forced her to look out at the carnage like Thor was Loki.
"As Thor said, look what you two caused, Saphira," Enid demanded. Saphira couldn't believe her eyes as she looked out at all the buildings getting destroyed, the fires, their army shooting at innocent people, and she felt sick; she glanced at Loki and could tell by the look on his face, he felt the same. But then he looked her way and caught sight of Enid holding Saphira, and his expression turned to anger.
"Let go of her, Enid." Loki snarled. And if Thor hadn't been holding him down, he most likely would have tackled Enid away from his wife.
"Calm, brother, she is not hurting her," Thor told him.
"Sister, " Saphira cried, trying to pull free; Enid let her go, then jerked her around to face her.
"What in all the realms has gotten into you?" Enid demanded. "You've always been a handful, but this, destroying the realm you lived in for a hundred years. At first, I thought Loki brainwashed you or something, but now, I'm not so sure. You don't seem brainwashed to me. Never has it crossed my mind that you would be capable of something like this. You or Loki."
"Sister, please, I can explain." Saphira tried.
"No, Saphira," Enid said, holding her hand up, "There is no explanation that can excuse this; look around you, look what you and Loki did, he told me some powerful beings had threatened you, but I don't know if I believe that or not. Not after how he acted before; he isn't acting like someone forced to do this."
"Enid."
"I don't even know what to say, how to even get through to you." Enid went on, ignoring her. "You two have gone way past going too far; you have attacked multiple places in multiple days, killing many innocent lives in the process; I'm sorry, but you and Loki have finally done it; you got yourself in a mess that even Thor and I can't clean up for you. You both need to stop this attack now."
"It is not too late, brother." Thor put in; Loki looked at him. "You can still stop it; we can stop it. Together."
"It is too late," Loki replied. He glanced at Saphira, and she saw fear and shame in his eyes.
"Never too late, Loki," Thor replied; Loki turned his eyes from Saphira back to Thor.
"You do not understand," Loki said. "I can not stop; I have to go through with it, I have to." He began to struggle to get loose from Thor, who, after a moment, let go of him.
"No, Loki, you do not," Thor said. "Is winning worth thousands of innocent lives."
"No, brother, it is not." Loki replied, shocking Enid and Thor, "But, Saphira is."
"Saphira?" Thor question.
"I would destroy a thousand worlds to keep her safe," Loki replied.
"Loki, if someone has honestly threatened Saphira, Enid, and I will help you keep her safe," Thor said. "I swear to you end this, and no harm will come to her."
"Of course not," Enid said. "She is still my little sister Loki. Do you genuinely think I would allow someone to hurt her?"
Loki looked between Thor and Enid, then toward Saphira; she could tell by the look in his eyes that he was given serious thought to Thor's offer, so Saphira gave Loki a nod; he looked toward the scepter lying on the ground then up at the portal and sighed, and turned back to Thor. Before Loki could answer, a shadow fell over them. They all looked up; it was another jet, this one much bigger; they watched as it landed down the street and opened its door, and what seemed to be mutants came running and flying out and immediately started helping the Avengers battling the Chitauri.
"Who?" Thor frowned. Loki glared at Thor.
"You were not serious about helping me at all." Loki accused. "You were stalling until extra help got here."
"No." Thor denied. "Brother, I swear I do not know who that is."
"He's telling the truth, Loki," Enid said; she turned to Saphira. "Sister, tell him."
"So, I am back to being a sister now?" Saphira demanded as she glared at her, too, believing they were stalling until more fighters came.
"What?" Enid asked.
Loki ignored them and jumped off the building and landed on one of the Chitauri ships, then reached for Saphira and helped her get behind him; she wrapped her arms around Loki's waist as they flew off, leaving Thor and Enid standing on the building watching them fly away.
Saphira looked away from them and put her head on Loki's shoulder as they flew through the air; they weren't there for long as one of the mutants on the ground shot at them with lasers out of his eyes, it hit the side of the ship, coming within inches of Saphira's leg, the ship blew apart, sending Loki and Saphira falling to the ground.
"You okay, darling?" Loki asked as they both got to their feet.
"Yes, what about you?" Saphira asked; Loki grinned at her.
"Of course." Loki answered, "but it looks like we have to fight all of them ourselves."
"Piece of cake," Saphira said; she hooked her fingers together and popped her knuckles as Captain America surrounded them along with three mutants. Rogue, Scott Sommers (Cyclops), and Bobby Drake. (Iceman)
Saphira and Loki stood back to back as they fought anyone and everyone that came at them, using their abilities to block anything the others threw at them; they weren't only protecting themselves but also protecting each other. As they fought to win, they took turns fighting each of them; Loki also using his illusion and making doubles of him and Saphira to confuse them; Saphira was making vines grow, grabbing them, and blowing Rogue out of the air with the wind.
Every time Saphira used her powers, Loki looked at her worryingly because she seemed to be overpowering it, the vines seemed to be bigger and thinker, the wind was worse, blew away anything in its path. Her flames were larger and redder; at one time, when she threw a fireball at Rogue, and she dodged it, it hit A building, and it went up in flames instantly, but Saphira had been able to put it out before it set the entire city on fire. Loki was pretty sure it had something to do with what that bird did to her. He had to look into it the first chance he got.
At one point, the fighting paused as Iceman shot ice at Loki, completely covering him in ice; everyone just stood and stared a moment; Iceman laughed as Sommers patted his back. Saphira was beginning to worry until suddenly the ice around Loki burst apart, and he stood there smiling in his jotuun form, arms held out almost laughing.
"Peek a boo." Loki joked, still laughing.
"But...how?" Drake demanded; he tossed more ice at Loki only for him to block it.
"Loki is half jotuun, dumbass." Saphira laughed at him. "That's a Frost Gaint, in case you didn't know."
Saphira saw Rogue looking at Loki with a shocked look. Loki ignored the reactions around him and sent ice toward Bobby Drake, which did nothing to him, being immune to freezing, even by the half jotuun God of mischief.
"Interesting," Loki said, then he and Iceman got in a sort of ice battle, throwing and tossing ice at one another, which did nothing but cause ice to form on everything around them. He made an ice blade and went at Drake with it; he dodged out of the way, causing the edge to hit the ground and break, before trying to freeze Loki again, which did no good.
Knowing Loki could take care of himself, Saphira turned back to the battle to start fighting Sommers; she got him down by flipping him over her shoulder, she went to punch him while he was down, but he lifted his glasses and shot his lasers at her, Saphira jumped out of the way. As Sommers tried to get back up, thick vines burst out of the ground, wrapping around him and pulling him down. Unfortunately, he could get an arm free and try to blast Saphira with his eye lasers again. She jumped out of the way, landing down on her hands and knees; Loki witnessing what happened, ran forward and started battling Sommers.
Saphira sat up and leaned against a building, deciding to take a little break; she was starting to feel tired; it never happened before, but then again, she and Loki has never been in a battle this big, nor has it ever been just her and Loki against over a dozen people, the Chitarui didn't count they were no help, they just wanted to destroy everything. Saphira looked up as Iron Man went flying by; Hulk was jumping from building to building. The ones that came with the mutants fighting them were helping take out the nasty creatures; Thor and Enid were going from one large Chitarui ship to another, destroying them. She had no idea where Black Widow was or Barton, but it didn't matter; she and Loki were most likely to lose and be separated again. And her chest hurt just thinking about it.
A shadow fell over Saphira as someone walked up next to her, thinking it was just one of the "heroes" wanting to fight her; she ignored them, then became a bit surprised when that person sat down next to her on the ground.
"Why would you want to take over the world, Ma Soeur?" A very familiar voice demanded; Saphira turned her head and was shocked to find herself looking into the red and black eyes of her once-good friend Remy Lebeau.
"Sounded like fun at the time," Saphira answered. Remy laughed a little, pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and stuck one in his mouth. Then as a Chitauri went running past, Remy pulled out a card, tossed it at it, blowing it up.
"Sounds like too much work to Remy," Remy answered, lighting his cigarette. Remy's smile dropped, and his face took on a more serious look. "So, all those years ago, when we befriended each other when I brought you into the guild, taught you to play cards, use a staff, steal, cheat, pick locks, you were lying and pretending that whole time?"
"No, Remy." Saphira denied, "I let you believe I was just a kid because I liked you and wanted to be friends and hang out; you were the first Midgardain on this planet I liked."
"I considered you my little sister, and not just because of the guild," Remy said.
"It was kind of nice to have a big brother looking out for me, even if I was much older than you," Saphira replied. "I...didn't mean to hide anything from you, wasn't using you or anything, you were my first true friend after being stuck in this realm for around seventy-eight years."
"Tell me, Saphira, what's your real reason for doing this?" Remy demanded.
"My reason is so Loki and I can be together," Saphira said, then quickly explained everything she and Loki have gone through to be together. Remy said nothing, just sat and listened to her. "If we are the rulers, the boss, people have to listen to us, leave us alone. Let us be together."
"And Loki's?" Remy replied.
"Partly same reason as mine, partly because he's still trying to prove he's just as good as his brother Thor, and mostly because he was held hostage for six months with endless pain and torture, and those who hurt him sent him here to get the tesseract, with threats of doing the same to me," Saphira confessed; Remy looked at her in concern.
"So, Loki is trying to keep you safe?" Remy asked; Saphira nodded.
"We still want to rule, too, though," Saphira replied, "Loki has this plan to double-cross them; he wanted the so-called heroes to show up and fight the Chitauri, to take out this thing called the Other's army. That way, not only would they be getting rid of them for us after we used them to help us win, then the Avengers, as Stark called them, would be too tired and hurt to fight us, making it easy for us to take over. Loki would refuse to hand over the tesseract, instead use it to close Midgard off to The Other and his boss, and Loki and I would be King and Queen of Midgard. Ruling the whole realm."
"Wow," Remy replied. "Such a thought-out and complicated plan."
"Yeah, but Loki and I didn't expect mutants to show up and help fight us," Saphira replied.
"X-MEN." Remy replied, "We are the X-MEN."
"Nice name." Saphira giggled.
Remy didn't say anything for a moment, just poofed on his cigarette, again he pulled out a card and tossed it at a Chitauri going by, blowing it up without even looking. Then Remy stood, reached his hand down to pull Saphira to her feet, and surprised her by smiling and holding his arms out.
"Sounds like you could use a hug from your big brother?" Remy said; Saphira grinned, took the cigarette out of his mouth, flicked it away, then hugged him. "Good to see you, Soeur, even if you and your lover boy are trying to take over the world, who, by the way, just glared at me like he wants to murder me."
"He probably does." Saphira laughed, pulling away from him. "Good to see you too, Rem Rem, even if we are supposed to be beating the shit out of each other."
"I know better than to fight you," Remy answered.
"You won't be able to beat Loki either," Saphira told him. Remy looked around Saphira at Loki. He was doing a pretty good job fighting on his own. As Remy watched, Loki dodged Captain America's shield hitting him, by jumping on a nearby building and running across the side, able to because he was wearing the boots Saphira had given him.
"I will stick to fighting the aliens, no," Remy said.
"You do that, Rem," Saphira said As Remy pulled a deck of cards out of his pocket and shuffled them.
"Before we go back to our respective teams, how about doing our old trick." He nodded to one of the large Chitauri ships heading up the ally they were standing near. Saphira grinned.
"Alright." Saphira agreed. Remy smiled and held the cards out towards Saphira.
"Light them up," Remy told her. Saphira touched the end of a card, and they all caught fire; Remy then did his thing before throwing them at the Chitauri ship as it went by, then grabbed Saphira arm and pulled her back, as it exploded into flames, with a loud noise, shaking the ground, and causing debris to fly everywhere; Remy covered Saphira as dust, ash and metal fell all around them.
"Well, that was fun, but I need to get back to helping Loki." Saphira turned to go back when Remy grabbed her arm.
"You know I will always see you as my sister." Remy said, "But the X-MEN are my family too, Rogue; she's my wife. Could you maybe stop now before either of you hurt the other or worse?"
"We don't have to fight each other," Saphira said, "You and your friends can join us, I can speak to Loki, he's always held respect for power, you can help us, with Loki and me ruling the realm, mutants can finally have respect, not be mistreated and hated by humans." Remy gave her a half-smile.
"No, Saphira." Remy replied gently, "I understand your reasoning, but what you two are doing is still wrong, all the people being hurt around us is innocent lives; sorry, I can't be a part of that, nor would the X-MEN, who have spent years and years protecting this planet."
"I had a feeling you would say that, Remy," Saphira replied. "And I understand, you'll always be my friend; the guild was like family, I'll always be grateful to you for making me one of them, so I guess I do owe you."
Saphira turned around, got on one knee, and touched the ground. It shook, and the ground cracked up as a large weeping willow tree grew up out of it, behind the three X-MEN. Then the hanging limbs reached and grabbed the three she and Loki had been fighting, trapping Rogue, Cyclops, and Iceman, who were all now danging from this massive tree in the middle of the road, unable to move. Loki stopped fighting them the moment they couldn't fight back.
"Thank you," Remy said, reaching out and gently squeezing her hand before walking off towards the tree.
"Nice one, darling," Loki called to her, laughing as he looked up at the tree; Saphira smiled as she walked back to him; Loki reached out, took her hand. They both disappeared only to reappear on top of another Chitauri ship; this time, Loki was behind her with his hands wrapped tightly around her waist; Saphira leaned back into him and closed her eyes.
"Who was that guy you were talking to, love?" Loki asked.
"My friend Remy LeBeau," Saphira said, "I told you about him in my letters."
"Ah, yes, the thief," Loki replied. Saphira smiled, guessing that Loki had been a little jealous of her hugging Remy.
"No need to be jealous," Saphira said. "My heart belongs to you."
Loki smiled and looked down at her; she opened her eyes and smiled up at him; Loki leaned in and kissed her; as they kissed, Loki took one hand off Saphira's waist, reached up, and caught an arrow that had been flying to him, he pulled away from Saphira and looked over toward a building and gave Barton a smirk only for the arrow to blow up in his hand, sending him and Saphira flying, they both landed on top of Stark tower again.
"Maybe we should stop getting on those things," Saphira remarked as she and Loki got to their feet, only for the Hulk to jump up from out of nowhere and knock Loki through a window and inside the building.
"LOKI," Saphira screamed, running in after the Hulk who went after Loki. "STOP! Leave him alone, you big freak!" Hulk stopped and turned to her and let out a roar and went to charge for her, but Loki yelled out.
"Enough!" The Hulk stopped and looked between Saphira and Loki, trying to decide who to go after, then Loki spoke again. "We are gods, you dull creature, and you should be kneeling to us."
Hulk roared, went to grab Loki's leg, but it was an illusion, and his hand went through it, and Loki disappeared, then a dozen Lokis appeared around the Hulk taunting and teasing him, Hulk roared and strumbled around, going nuts, smashing and breaking anything in his path. The real Loki appeared next to Saphira as they watched Hulk.
"I think you drove him mad," Saphira told him.
"Indeed," Loki said as Hulk stopped, grabbed his head, fell to the floor, then slowly turned back into Bruce Banner, lying on the ground naked; Saphira tilted her head to the side a little.
"Not too bad for a nerdy scientist," Saphira commented; Loki reached around the back of her head and covered her eyes.
"You are a married woman, darling," Loki whispered in her ear.
"So are you, Loki, so you better not be looking either," Saphira replied; Loki dropped his hand from her eyes, put his head on her shoulder, and laughed.
"God, I love you," Loki said; he then raised his head, kissed Saphira's temple, then slipped off his jacket and tossed it to Banner. "Cover yourself, Banner; there is a lady in the room."
Bruce looked toward them, and his face turned red, and he grabbed the jacket and slipped it on, holding it closed; it looked weird on him as he sat on Stark's sofa looking confused.
"Does my jacket look that ridiculous on me?" Loki asked.
"No, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask for it back," Saphira told him; Loki nodded.
"I need a new look anyway," Loki replied; he and Saphira looked at each other and smiled; he was about to say something when the elevator door opened, and before either could even look that way, a red laser beam blast hit Loki, knocking him back across the room, where he landed hard on his back. Then some of the X-MEN came running into the room. Loki got to his feet and made two daggers appear in his hands, as a mutant named Wolverine was running towards Loki, wanting to fight him, swinging his claws at him. Loki dodged them and came at Wolverine with his daggers; Wolverine blocked them with his claws, making a loud cling noise.
"Well, the alien knows how to dance," Wolverine commented.
"I'm a god, not alien," Loki replied, pushing Wolverine back; he tried to come back up with daggers to be stopped again. "And soon to be your king. So you might want to kneel to me now."
"You don't look like a God to me, bub." Wolverine said, "And I have no king; I bow to no one." He ran at Loki, and jumped into the air, and came at with a set of claws; Loki dodged out of the way but not before Wolverine's claws caught his arm. They both circled each other, then Loki came at him with his daggers, causing Wolverine to step back, and hold up his fist, claws still out.
"Come on, String Bean," Wolverine taunted, "You can do better than that." Loki chuckled.
"Really? You're going to make a remark on my appearance when you are no taller than an ant." Loki replied.
Wolverine growled and came at Loki with his claws, and nearly got his face, then the two went on slicing at each other, sometimes missing, sometimes hitting their mark.
Saphira made a flame appear in her hand and went to throw it at Wolverine, but Rogue came flying in, knocking her out onto the balcony; as she was getting to her feet, Rogue came flying at her again and knocked her off the balcony onto the top of a car parked below, where she bounced off and landed on the ground below. She rolled over on her stomach to get up when Rogue landed in front of her, and she stood there with her hands on her hips, waiting for Saphira to stand before doing anything else.
Saphira got to her feet and came at Rogue; she dodged her and sent Saphira over her shoulder where she landed hard on the ground; she reached out, grabbed Rogue's ankle, and jerked her leg forward, making her fall onto the ground; Saphira climb on top of her to try and punch her only for Rogue to stop her hand, and give her a shove, knocking Saphira off her, the two women then rolled around throwing punches, at each other. Rogue ended up the one on top and held Saphira's arms down, trying to get her to surrender.
"How are you so freaking strong?" Saphira demanded, trying to get her arms free, she thought about burning Rogue's hands, but she didn't want to make Remy mad; she felt as if she was on thin ice when it came to their friendship.
"That's a long story," Rogue said, as Saphira tried to push her arms up but could barely move.
"You better be glad you're married to Remy," Saphira told her. "Or you'll be flames right now," Saphira told her. Rogue didn't seem to like Saphira mentioning her husband as she tightened her hold on Saphira's arms and slammed them back down hard onto the ground, which hurt like hell.
Saphira was able to bring her leg up and knock Rogue off her with a kick; they both got to their feet; Rogue swung at her but missed as Saphira ducked and flipped Rogue over on her back, Rogue got back up and got Saphira with a pouch, she then punched Rogue back, she stumbled holding on to her jaw, which made her mad as Rogue came forward punched Saphira knocking her back a few feet, she landed hard on the ground, and decided just to lay there, as all around them, the Chitarui started falling from the sky as the portal closed up.
"Looks like you lost, Sugar," Rogue told her; standing over her, Saphira glared at her as someone name Jean Grey came walking over carrying some mechanical collar and handed it to Rogue.
"Put that on her; she won't be able to get away," Jean told her; Rogue frowned at it, then reached down and pulled Saphira to a sitting position and put it around her neck; Saphira frowned as she felt her strength leaving her.
"What is this?" Saphira demanded as she pulled on it.
"A power-damping collar, we hate them as much as you probably will, but can't have you trying to escape or using your powers on us," Rogue answered, pulling her to her feet just as Barton walked up.
"I'll take her," Barton told her; Rogue noded then flew off; Barton then grabbed Saphira's arm. "Come on." He pulled her towards Stark Towers.
"Hey, Barty." Saphira couldn't help but mock.
"Don't call me that," Barton said, scowling. Saphira only grinned.
"You're just mad because I kicked your ass in New Mexico." Saphira taunted. She couldn't help it; she just lost, she and Loki would undoubtedly be separated, and her sister was mad at her, so why not take it out on Clint Barton.
"You didn't win that fight." Barton denied. "It ended with you being taken in by SHIELD."
"Who is the one with the burnt arm?" Saphira demanded as they walked into Stark tower.
"Shut up." Barton snapped as they got on the elevator in Stark Tower; Remy had already been getting on; he frowned at Saphira as she stood between him and Barton.
"That is a pretty nasty bruise on your face," Remy said; he gently got hold of her chin and raised her face to look it over.
"Your wife hits like Thor," Saphira told him.
Remy laughed a little and patted Saphira on her back. He chatted with Saphira until the elevator dinged and they got off at Stark's top floor, where everyone had gathered; Barton led Saphira over in front of the bar where Loki was already sitting in front of, Wolverine was standing next to him, leaning against the bar with a drink. Saphira could tell he was keeping a close eye on Loki; both of their clothes were slashed up from the fight they had.
Saphira looked Loki over for signs of injuries; he looked okay, just a few cuts and scraps. They had gotten one of the collars on him also. Loki looked up to see Barton bringing Saphira over and went to stand looking relieved, but Wolverine brought out the claws on one of his hands and pointed at him; Loki stayed where he was as he watched Barton make Saphira sit down next to him; he told Saphira to stay then joined Wolverine at the bar for a drink. Loki and Saphira looked at each other.
"I'm okay," Saphira assured Loki when his eyes widened as they looked over her bruised face. "Just a girl fight, that's all."
"Are you sure, darling?" Loki asked; he began to look her over everywhere. "Not hurt anywhere else?"
"A little sore is all." Saphira said, "What about you?"
"I'm fine," Loki told her; they looked each other over a moment before they were satisfied the other was okay, then their eyes locked together, and Saphira felt a tear go down her face.
"We lost," Saphira said as Loki laid his hand on her knee, and she moved closer to him.
"I'm sorry I did not win you the Earth, darling," Loki said. Both Barton and Wolverine snorted; Saphira glared at them before turning back to Loki.
"I don't care about that; that big blonde jackass is going to take you back to Asgard and away from me," Saphira said; Loki reached his hand up and pushed Saphira's hair out of her face.
"It will not be for long, my love," Loki promised. "I'll find a way out of Asgard's dungeons and come for you, I promise."
"If you take too long, I'll find a way to Asgard and get you," Saphira said. Loki laughed a little.
"I do not doubt that," Loki said, grinning despite the tears in his eyes. Saphira glanced out at Enid, who was now standing next to Thor, as he and she talked to Scott Sommers and Jean Gray.
"She won't even look at me," Saphira said; Loki glanced at Enid and Thor, then reached out and rubbed her back.
"I will be worried about you; they might try to come after you for my loss," Loki warned. He was mad at himself for getting caught off guard; with these collars somehow taking away their godlike abilities, they felt pretty weak and tired after their long battle, and wouldn't even be able to take on this many in the room, and couldn't get away if they tried. And Loki wanted to grab Saphira and disappear somewhere. But he was unable.
"I can take care of myself." Saphira said, looking at him, "Let them come. I still owe them for hurting you." Loki closed his eyes a moment; when he opened them, he gave Saphira a gentle smile as he wiped her tears away.
"I love you so damn much," Loki told her; Saphira smiled at that and leaned closer to Loki.
"I love you so damn much too," Saphira replied; they kissed. After the kiss, Saphira laid her head on Loki's shoulder, refusing to move from her spot, and Loki held her tightly in his arms, Saphira wasn't willing to give Loki up yet, and he wasn't ready to give Saphira up at the moment, either.
AN Well, there it was. Hopefully, it was good; according to google Ma Soeur is French for my sister, Soeur is sister. I hope that is right. Sorry is it is not. Gambit calls her that because he thinks of Saphira as his sister, and about him being married to Rogue, they do get married in the comics; there's 2018; I believe it is comic series based on just their wedding and honeymoon, it's really good, so the events in those comics already happened by time Saphira and Loki attack NY, they haven't been married long though. We'll say close to a year. And Enid doesn't know whether to believe if Loki is telling the truth about Saphira being threatened, mostly because she hopes it isn't true.
And I thought about and wanted Saphira and Loki to escape and not be locked up, but I needed Saphira to meet a certain someone and couldn't think of any other way of her meeting her.
