Neptune let out a sigh. To say he was bored would be an understatement. Sun wasn't answering his phone, Jaune was away for the weekend and Ren seemed to be joined at the hip with Nora. He had more friends of course, but he wouldn't be caught dead hanging out with Adam or Russel. He cringed at the thought.

Normally he'd be bouncing off the walls when he had the dorm to himself, but this was just boring. Nothing was going on, no one was responding and for some strange reason, he didn't really fancy any female company.

"What a drag..." Not many people knew this about the blue haired boy, but he lived for the drama. Sure, he didn't like being involved in said drama, but he liked the craziness and unpredictable nature of everyone's lives.

He just wished something... Anything would happen...

A knock on the door.

He shot up, he wasn't expecting anything? Had his wish come true? "Coming!" He called out as he skipped towards the door. He composed himself before he opened the door.

"Hello again!" Came the polite voice from his past.

"Fuck..."

"So," Ren started, staring at the scene before him "What did I miss?" Sun and a girl he had never seen before were cozied up in his living room watching Titanic. Bags of snacks, tubs of Roman and Neo's ice cream that were melting on the table and half drunk bottles of soda were dotted about the place.

"Not much buddy." Sun sniffled "Ilia, can you pass the tissues?"

Ilia silently picked up the box with tears streaming down her own face and handed them to Sun "It's not fair..." She sobbed. The girl was currently laying down on one side of the corner sofa while Sun was sat with his feet resting on that table.

"I know." Sun choked "There was enough room for both of them." He dried his eyes and continued to stare at the television.

"That's not what I meant!" The girl cried out.

"I know!" Sun cried with her.

Ren stared at the two crying idiots and shook his head "I don't even care. I just came back to grab some new clothes." He said, making his way to his room and away from the emotional scene.

"I can't believe she lied to me..." Ilia frowned, leaning more into the cushions and crossing her arms. The girl had in fact gone to see for herself if Blake and Yang were dating and wasn't very happy with what she saw. So instead of coming back to laugh in Sun's face she came to him to cry and vent. She hadn't expected him to go and buy a bunch of comfort snacks and a movie. She'd hate to admit it, but she was feeling a little better.

"I'm sure she just didn't want to hurt you." Sun continued to comfort her "I think if you really like her, you should be happy for her."

Ilia turned to face him "It's not that easy."

"Why not?" Sun asked in response "You're a pretty girl. It can't be that hard to make someone fall for you." He smiled at her and turned back to the movie "What do you want to watch next?"

Luckily the room was pretty dark otherwise he would have noticed the deep crimson her face had become "Thanks..." She muttered, turning away from the boy.

"Huh? What did ya say?"

"I said lets watch Tangled!" Ilia pulled a cushion closer to her face in an attempt to cover her blush.

"Right." Ren entered the room and stopped once he saw the Disney logo flash across the screen "I don't know what the two of you are going through and quite frankly, I don't care. But this mess better be tidied before I come back."

"When will that be?" Sun stared blankly at his roommate, knowing full well that Ren wont be back for a few days.

A sigh "Who knows." Ren shrugged "Oh, if you do anything on my couch, please burn it." He instructed, dodging the cushion that the steaming girl launched at him. He could swear that he saw literal steam coming from her face.

"D-Don't be silly, Ren." Sun managed to stutter "Please leave now!"

"Yeah, yeah... Don't stay up too late." Ren closed the door, leaving the two blushing teens alone.

"Sorry about him." Sun spoke up "We kinda always tease him so he takes any opportunity to get us back."

"It's fine..." Ilia closed her eyes and took a breath "Just so we're clear, I'm not attracted to you in anyway." She once again focused on the movie.

An awkward laugh escaped Sun "Second girl this day to reject me." He joked "But yeah, we have only just met."

Ilia instantly felt bad and she didn't know why "I'm sorry... I'm just a little emotionally exhausted after everything that happened today." She apologised.

"I get it." Sun smiled at her "We've both had a rough day, so let's just enjoy the movie and snacks."

"I'd like that." She smiled back.

The Shattered Moon was not what Weiss expected. Punks and goths moved and danced throughout the ambient smoke of the dancefloor. Nearly everyone was wearing dark clothes and had dark shades of hair which made her stand out like a sore thumb. Her white hair flowed freely as she opted to not wear her signature ponytail and her flat stomach was on show due to her white crop top. She wore a casual pair or light blue jeans that hugged her figure nicely and wore a matching denim jacket that was the same length as her top. To say she felt a tad out of place was an understatement.

Jaune on the other hand had visited this bar several times and knew several workers by name. He wore a black button up, choosing to have the top two buttons unbuttoned, and a pair of faded, grey jeans.

"Don't think too much about it." Jaune glanced at her, sensing her unease "The people here are friendly and don't care what you're wearing."

"I'm not worried." She lied, following the boy to the bar "I've just never gone clubbing without Yang. She's usually the one who drags me to parties and stuff." She admitted.

"I figured as much. You don't really seem like the type to enjoy going out." Jaune pointed out "What do you want to drink? I recommend the two for one cocktails."

"Of course you'd pick the cheapest option." Weiss teased "What do they have?"

Jaune rolled his eyes "Probably wanna go for the one with the most alcohol so I can blackout quicker and not have to deal with you." He sighed, turning towards the bartender "Long islands it is."

Weiss was soon handed a tall glass filled with an amber coloured drink, complete with a cute, tiny umbrella and two straws.

"Are you gonna drink it or just stare at it?" Jaune asked, sipping on his own drink with a smug smile.

Weiss put the straw to her lips and sipped the drink. A strong yet sweet taste washed over her taste-buds and down her throat as she swallowed the cocktail. The sharp taste of lemon creeping up behind the strong tequila was a very welcome aftertaste and helped the drink go down. "It's surprisingly good..." She muttered, going in for another sip.

"I know right." Jaune agreed "Just be careful, these are creepers." He ushered her over to a nearby pool table.

She followed the boy closely as they made their way through the various groups "Creepers?" She asked "Like from that block game?"

"No, idiot. As in they'll creep up on you." He gave an uncharacteristic laugh "There's a hell of a lot alcohol in these." He held up his half empty glass before placing it down and working on setting up the game "You played before?"

"Not really." She replied, mindlessly sipping on her drink "It's just angles though, right? How hard can it be?"

"It's more than that." Jaune added, giving the black a quick spin before having it fall in place.

"You know..." Weiss smiled, placing her drink down and picking up her cue "You seem a lot more comfortable here than at Uni. Is there a reason for that?"

"Hmm." The blonde picked up his own cue and walked over to get ready to break "I guess I don't have to live with the nickname 'Creep' up here." He smiled when she looked away embarrassed "But really, It's because I effectively grew up here." He took aim and hit the white into the triangle of balls. Yellows and Reds rolled across the table but none were pocketed. "I didn't really get along with my parents so every chance I got, I came here." He explained.

"I see." Weiss leaned over the table and took aim for an easy yellow ball "I'm sorry to hear that. I don't really get along with my parents either, hence why I'm in Vale and not Atlas." She pulled back and hit the white with the perfect amount of force to skilfully pocket the yellow. "See! Just angles." She smirked at him.

"That was the easiest pocket I have ever seen." He laughed.

"Oh? Then how about that one there?" She pointed at a yellow that was trapped behind three reds "How about If I get that one in, you buy the next round?"

Jaune snorted "Easiest drink of my life. You're on, Schnee."

"I thought we were on first name basis now, Arc." She laughed and proceeded to sink the ball.

"Oh shit!" Came a familiar voice "It's you guys!"

The duo looked up and was met with the redhead from the coach. They looked at each other, shrugged and got back to their game.

"Cold." The boy laughed "I'm sorry about earlier. Let me make it up to you?"

"Can you j-" Weiss started but was stopped by Jaune.

"Two long islands." Jaune said.

"Understandable." The boy laughed "Name's Scarlet, by the way." He introduced himself before walking over to the bar.

"See, told ya the people here weren't bad." Jaune shot the girl a thumbs up.

Scarlet quickly returned with the drinks and passed them over to the duo "Here ya go." He grinned "Hope you can forgive me now for earlier?"

"We'll think about it." Jaune replied "Did you want something from us?"

"Well, I kinda noticed you two walk in and told my mates what happened on the coach and they told me to come apologise." He admitted "I didn't mean to piss you off and believe me, I would've come and apologised without them telling me to."

"It's fine." Weiss spoke before Jaune could reply "We accept your apology."

Jaune rubbed the back of his neck and sighed "Yeah, water under the bridge." He agreed.

"Awesome!" Scarlet cheered "Hey, how about you two join us for the night? We were planning on going to karaoke once we finish up here."

"Weiss?" Jaune turned to the white haired girl.

"I could go for some karaoke." She spoke up "Although that could be the alcohol talking..." She added.

Sun's eyes shot open and focused on the only light in the dark room, Frozen. Tangled must've finished and Frozen had come on automatically. He wiped the sleep from his eyes and looked over to the girl who was quietly snoring away to his left.

Ilia was out like a light as her chest gently rose and fell in part. Sun smiled at the girl and ran off to his room, retrieved a blanket and came back. He gently draped the cover over the sleeping girl, careful not to wake her.

He made himself comfortable back in his own spot and pulled out his phone, being greeted with 33 unread messages "Jesus..." He whispered, opening up the messages.

Neptune: 'Problem!' 'Guys!' 'CODE RED!'

Sun shook his head, choosing to ignore his idiotic friend and opting to read the other messages. The group chat seemed to be popping off.

Blake: 'Just saw that weird girl following me again.'

Yang: 'She's lucky I didn't catch her!'

Neptune: 'Code Red Code Red!'

Yang: 'The hells a code red?'

Neptune: 'SUNNN!'

Sun locked his phone and put it back down, taking a quick look at the sleeping girl next to him "Sorry Nep, but I have my own problems at the moment..."

A frantic pounding came from the hallway "SUN! LET ME IN!" Neptune shouted from outside the room "SUNNN!"

"What's that noise?" Ilia's yawn quickly replaced with a look of annoyance, not to happy with being woken up.

"Dammit, Neptune!" Sun called back, getting up to let his friend inside "It's 2am, get in and shut up!" He pulled the panicked boy into the room "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Don't try and flip this on me! Why the hell haven't you been answering your phone?" Neptune countered.

"Can you keep it down?" Ilia moaned from her place of rest, sitting up to glare at the new person in the room.

"Woah." Neptune held his fist out for Sun to bump.

"Focus up, idiot!" Sun frowned "I've been busy. Just tell me what's going on."

"She's back..." Neptune said solemnly and held his head down in failure.

"Who's back?"

"Pyrhha."

"Oh..."

Ilia, who was now fully awake, stretched her arms out "Oh, the creep's ex? So, how does that affect you guys?"

"Seriously, how long did you stalk me?" Sun asked "And we're worried for Jaune. They didn't end on great terms and it really fucked him up."

"And?" Came her reply "Is he the same person as before or has he grown?"

"We can't help but be worried." Neptune answered "Especially after the other week."

"When he had a panic attack?" She asked.

"Seriously?" Sun was once again ignored as Ilia continued.

"He's an adult, you can't coddle him from every little bump he's going to face in life. People can't grow and mature while being pampered and being told everything will be okay." Ilia explained "You got to let the guy figure out his own solutions to his own problems."

"...I guess you're right." Neptune took a seat on the couch, much to Ilia's disgust "I just worry about him. Kind of wish Pyrrha would leave our dorm though..."

"Wait, what?" Sun rushed over and took a seat next to Ilia, who seemed much less annoyed than when Neptune sat down.

"Yeah, she said something about wanting to speak to Jaune as soon as possible and said she'd just wait in the room until he got back." Nep explained.

"Isn't he away for the weekend?" Ilia asked.

"For someone I've never seen before, you sure know a lot about our friendship group." Neptune eyed the tanned girl.

"I'm a psychology student." She puffed her chest out proudly "I take note of what's going on around me."

"That makes sense to me." Neptune smiled.

Sun looked dumbfounded "Does it?"

"I don't really have a problem with her, if I'm honest. It just feels like I'd be betraying Jaune's trust if I was all buddy buddy with her." Neptune sighed "What should I do?"

"Be a man." Was all Ilia said, but it seemed to trigger something within Neptune.

"You're right!" He got to his feet and nodded towards the two "Thanks for all the help." He rushed over to the entrance "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" He called back before exiting the dorm.

"Idiot." Ilia and Sun said in unison.
