AN This is getting a bit harder to write, but I did my best with this chapter; I hope you enjoy it. It's a little shirt, but this chapter gave me trouble. This storyline is a little harder than I thought it would be to write.

Chapter 35: Ultron is in control

Enid frowned as she watched The Avengers, plus Maria Hill arguing with one another as she wrapped her arm in bandages from the first aid kit Banner brought her; Thor had gone chasing after Stark's drones. Magento and his son Pietro were still here and somehow have gone undetected. Magneto was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, looking amused as the Avengers argued. His son, Pietro, was sitting a couple of chairs down from Enid, with his feet propped up on the table and fingers hooked together behind his head, also looking amused. He and Enid were the only two sitting down. Everyone else was either standing or leaning or pacing and not doing a good job showing teamwork to the "guest" in the tower.

"All our work is gone." Banner said, "Ultron cleared out, used the internet as an escape hatch."

"Ultron?" Steve demanded.

"He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other." Romanoff replied. Magneto raised his eyebrows at that.

"He's in your files; he's on the Internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?" Rhodes asked. "We need to call someone, warn someone."

"He said he wanted us dead," Romanoff pointed out.

"He didn't say dead. He said extinct." Rogers corrected.

"He also said he killed someone," Barton said as Enid put the first aid supplies back in the box, then slammed the lid closed.

"But there wasn't anyone else here," Hill said.

"Yes, there was," Stark replied; he made a destroyed 3D image of Jarvis appear.

"This is insane." Banner said, looking amazed.

"Jarvis was the first line of defense. He would've shut Ultron down; it makes sense." Stark said Magneto snorted as if he found Stark's line of defense a joke.

"No, Ultron could've assimilated Jarvis.." Banner argued, "This isn't a strategy, this, this is...rage." At that exact moment, Thor came charging into the room; he ignored everyone and went straight to Stark, grabbed his throat, and lifted him off the ground.

"Woah!" Barton said, "It seems to be going around."

"Come on, use your words, buddy." Start said.

"I have more than enough words for you, Stark," Thor said.

"Thor put him down," Rogers demanded; Thor didn't listen. "Thor put Tony down." Rogers looked to Enid, "Enid, a little help here, please." Enid looked towards, then looked down and became very interested in the rip in her sleeve; Magneto gave her an amused look. "Enid."

Enid sighed, "Thor, honey..." That's all it took to get Thor to let go of Stark's throat, letting him drop to the floor; he turned from Stark and walked over to Enid; Thor took her arm and looked at the bandage.

"I'm fine," Enid told him, "I'll be healed by tomorrow at the latest."

"I'm sorry," Thor told her as he let go of her arm. "I should have listened to you; we should have taken Loki's scepter straight to Asgard, "

"It's not your fault," Enid told him, reaching out and gripping his hand, then glared at Stark.

"You have an awesome temper, dude," Pietro told him; Thor glanced at him, then looked away.

"Thor." Rogers asked, "The Legionnaire."

"Trial went cold, about a hundred miles out." Thor answers, "It's headed north, and it has the scepter now we have to retrieve it again."

"Fuck." Enid groaned and put her face in her hand.

"Indeed," Thor said; Pietro snickered at Enid's language.

"I don't understand." Hill said, "You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us."

Stark started laughing; Thor glared at him, "You think this is funny?"

"No. It's probably not, right? Is this a very terrible? Is it so terrible?" Stark said.

"This would have never happened if you hadn't played with something you don't understand," Thor said.

"No, I'm sorry, it is funny," Stark said, "It is funny. It's a hoot you don't get why we need this."

"That's not the point, Stark." Enid spoke up, "Yes, it would be good if Midgard had more protection, but fooling with Loki's scepter was not the way to do it."

"Then how? Explain another way to me." Stark demanded. "You're the wise ones, the goddess of intelligence, so, tell me how you would do it?"

"Watch it, Stark," Thor warned. "I'm not in the mood right now; Enid got hurt because of you."

"Me?" Stark demanded. "Hey, I'm sorry Enid's arm got cut, but that's not my fault." Thor let out what sounded like a growl and stepped towards Stark, but Roger's stepped in between them.

"Guys, calm down," Rogers ordered. "Who's to blame isn't the point here. We still have to work together to fix this."

Enid decided to help Rogers out and got up and went over and grabbed Thor's arm and pulled him back a little as she laid her other hand on his chest.

"Calm down, okay, I'm fine; my arm will be good as new by tomorrow." Enid told him, "Steve is right; we still have to get along so that we can stop Ultron and get Loki's scepter back."

"Alright, for you, I will try and stay calm," Thor told her, then looked at Stark. "But when this is all over, Stark, you and I will have a chat about what you shouldn't be messing with."

"Why am I the only one getting the blame here," Stark demanded. "I'm not the only one who made Ultron."

"It was your idea, Tony." Banner said, frowning at him.

"An idea you went along with," Stark replied; he walked out to the middle of the room, then turned around looking at everyone. "So, I may have made a mistake with Ultron, okay fine, but what about the good I've done? Does no one remember the nuke I rode into an alien portal?"

"Not this again," Rhodes mumbled, rolling his eyes. Tony brought this up a lot.

"We all remember that." Enid replied, "And I'm sure the city is thankful, but you are not the only one who had a hand in saving New York, most of us here..."

"Really?" Stark demanded, "Weren't you the one who told Cap you weren't going to fight your sister? Even though she and her husband was attacking Earth and killing a lot of innocent people?"

"Saphira is my baby sister; I wasn't going to hurt her," Enid replied.

"And you visit her every visiting day while she was still in prison and took her gifts, hell I bet you know where she is right now," Stark said.

"Saphira is my only family unless you count Thor; I wasn't going to turn my back on her, besides who I do and don't visit in prison isn't any of your concern," Enid told him. "And no, I have no idea where she is; I can only assure you that she is no longer on this planet. And no longer a threat."

"This has nothing to do with what is going on now," Rogers spoke up. "We can talk about where Saphira is and Tony saving New York another time; right now, we need to come up with a plan to stop Ultron."

"I realize that, but aren't you the less curious as to how Saphira escaped Earth and who helped her?" Stark demanded. Magneto started laughing as he uncrossed his arms and straightened up off the wall.

"We should feel honored, Pietro; we get to witness the mighty Avengers in action," Magneto smirked. "What amazing teamwork."

"Oh, yeah, truly amazing," Pietro said, laying a hand over his heart. "My heroes, I feel safe knowing they are guarding my city."

"I'm sorry, but why are you two still here?" Stark demanded. "How did you even get in my tower?"

"Learn to lock your doors," Magneto said.

"Who are you?" Barton demanded.

"His name is Magneto," Thor said, "He was harassing Enid at the party."

"Harassing is a bit of a strong word, isn't it?" Magneto said, "I merely had a conversation with the lovely goddess. I am here now because I came to see why she did not show up for our meeting."

"What meeting?" Thor demanded. He looked to Enid.

"He wanted me to meet him somewhere; I wasn't going to go; I didn't even look at the address, and to be honest, I had forgotten about it anyway," Enid told Thor.

"Wait, Magneto?" Hill asked, "Aren't you the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? SHEILD has kept an eye on you for years."

"We prefer to be called The Brotherhood," Magento answered. "We aren't what you would call evil."

"Really?" Stark demanded, "I know you who you are now; I've heard your name before; believe me, you have done a lot of bad things."

"We did terrible things?" Magneto demanded. "Who destroyed New York acting the heroes? The way I see it, you guys did more harm than good fighting Loki and his army."

"Yeah, man," Pietro spoke up, "I believe it was you who just let loose a team of murderous robots heading who knows where."

"Where he is going is a good question," Hill said as she looked at a computer. "He's all over the globe. Robotics labs, jet propulsion labs, reports of a metal man, or men, coming in and emptying the place."

"Fatalities?" Rogers asked.

"Only when engaged." Hill replied, "Mostly guys left in a fugue state going on about old memories and fears."

"Could it be that girl?" Barton asked, "The one that got to Nat in Sokovia, she did that, think Ultron found her."

"Could be possible," Hill answered. "You guys said she was under the control of the scepter; he has it now; maybe it led Ultron to her if she was still under control."

"Think he'll join up with Strucker?" Banner asked, "They seemed to have something in common."

"I'd say the answer is no," Hill replied, then she brought a picture up on the big screen of Strucker, dead; the word peace, written in blood, was on the wall next to him.

"What's this?" Stark demanded.

"A message, Ultron killed Strucker," Rogers replied.

"Is there...anyone else?" Magneto asked; they all turned to him, "That girl you mention, do you know if he's killed her?"

"Why do you care?" Stark asked; Magneto's worried expression turned to a glare.

"That is none of your business." He said Pietro put his feet down.

"Wait!" Enid said, "Your daughter, the one taken; she's the one that was at Sokovia."

"Taken?" Rogers asked, "What do you mean taken, as in kidnapped?"

"Yes, my daughter Wanda is the one you guys abandoned in Sokovia," Magneto replied, looking at Enid, and ignoring Roger's question.

"Abandoned?" Stark demanded, "We didn't abandon anyone; we aren't the ones who took her there."

"No, but aren't you suppose to be the heroes? You show up and find a young girl, at the enemy's place there against her well, and being controlled to do God knows what, and you don't even try to help her." Magento replied.

"Are you sure this girl in Sokovia is your daughter?" Rogers demanded.

"Yes," Magneto answered, "Charles Xavier helped me track her there, but he couldn't get her exact location."

"Charles Xavier?" Hill asked, "Leader of the X-MEN?"

"Yes, if you must know, Charles and I go way back," Magneto answered. "We are old friends."

"More like frenemies," Pietro said to Enid.

"I have been feeling bad about leaving the girl; I know how it feels to be controlled by that damn scepter, but we had no choice; she got in our heads, then ran off," Barton told him.

"Maybe we can make amends for leaving her and help each other out," Rogers said, looking at Magneto, who shared a look with his son then turned back to Rogers.

"Go ahead; I'm listening," Magneto replied.

"You and your son come with us, help up defeat Ultron, we help you get Wanda back," Romanoff offered.

"So, you want us to work together," Magneto asked, "I help you take out this Ultron, and you help me get Wanda back."

"Hang on," Stark said, turning to Rogers. "You can't seriously be considering letting him come along?"

"Why not?" Rogers asked.

"Because he's the bad guy, hello, we can't trust him," Stark replied.

"Tony, he just wants to save his daughter." Rogers replied, "Besides, we need all the help we can get."

"I repeat, he's the bad guy." Stark said, "We can not trust him. That's like if we were to team up with Loki."

"You still have a lot to learn, Mr. Stark." Magneto said. "hero, villain, babyface or heel, whatever you call them, they don't exist, this is not a movie or a comic book, it's the real world, there are no bad guys or good guys, there are only people, we all believe we are right. There are only those that go a bit farther than others to prove it."

"You are the one that has a lot to learn," Stark replied.

"You stand there and judge us when you have the same amount of blood on your hands, maybe even more." Magneto said, "You are so blinded by what you think is right; you don't see the truth."

"And what truth might that be?" Stark demanded.

"That we aren't that different, none of us, we all do what we think is best for everyone, we all have regrets, that one thing that makes someone else see use as the bad guy, we all have a past, if not a future, because we all do something bad at least once at some point in our lives and we all have done something good," Magneto replied. "Every so-called villain does something heroic, and every hero does something villainous, remember that."

Stark started laughing, "Oh, that was a good one; you almost had me there."

"You are hopeless." Magneto replied, "An arrogant fool, and what you did tonight will teach you nothing; you'll keep making mistakes. And never own up to them."

"Let's all just stop, now." Rogers spoke up." We need to focus on Ultron and stopping him."

"And getting Loki's scepter back," Enid spoke up.

"That too." Rogers reply then turned to Magneto. "What do you say? Going to help us?"

"Alright, I'll do it." Magneto agreed.

"No, no, absolutely not," Stark argued.

Their argument was stopped when three Iron Men armors suddenly came crashing through the wall, one hitting Magneto from behind, sending him a crossed the room where he landed and laid unconscious; Pietro speed over to check on him, as the armor circled the rest of them, holding out a hand each as if getting ready to fire at them.

"Um...Tony? Rogers demanded.

"This isn't me," Stark said.

"Ultron must have hacked the system." Banner replied, looking a little scared, then at once, the armor started firing at them, making them all either duck under a table or hide behind something.

"What does he want now?" Barton demanded, "He has the rest of the Iron Legion and Loki's scepter."

"My suits, probably," Stark replied, just as two more came crashing into the room.

"How many of these damn things do you have?" Hill demanded.

"A few, theses aren't finished yet," Stark told her.

"They look finished to me," Barton replied, then had to duck out of the way as one a blast at him. Rogers tossed his shield at it, taking off its head, and the body crashed to the floor with a loud bang; Stark winched.

"This is why they knocked out Magneto." Thor realized, tossing his hammer at one, but it moved out of the way.

"With his ability, he would do to them what he did to the legion and Ultron earlier." Rogers finished.

That's when the armor decided to stop playing and start attacking for real; they flew around real fast, shooting at everything and everyone; it was chaos as they tried to hide or fight back; Enid ducked under a table to avoid getting hit; they were too fast, and she was unable to get any good hits on them with any of her abilities.

Enid watched as Thor hit one with his hammer when the table she was under was suddenly thrown off and across the room; Enid looked up as it hovered over her staring down, not doing anything. Enid didn't move, not wanting to make any sudden movements that it might take as a threat; as the armor stared at her, another appeared, next to him, then another, now three Iron Man suits stood over her.

"Why are they doing that?" Barton asked; everyone turned to Enid.

"I think we now know what Ultron wants," Stark replied. "Thor, you might want to get your girlfriend out..." He didn't get to finish as the armor in the middle flew forward to grab Enid, but Pietro was quicker, speeding by; he picked her up and sped away, causing the armor to hit the walk instead.

"Thanks," Enid said as Pietro sat her back on her feet; funny enough, she was was a couple of inches taller than him.

"Thor, get her out of here; we'll keep them distracted," Rogers called. Thor flew over to where Enid stood and grabbed her around the waist.

"Put your face into my shoulder," Thor told her, as Enid held on to him tightly; Thor took off using Mjolnir to fly; he crashed through one of the windows and flew up to the roof where he sat Enid down. "If Ultron wants you, you are not safe on Midgard."

"Thor?" Enid asked, frowning; Thor leaned in and kissed her before pulling back.

"You'll be safe on Asgard; they can't get to you there," Thor told her.

"Thor, I can take care of myself," Enid replied. "You know I can fight. We have fought in battles together most our lives."

"I know, but no one we have fought as ever targeted you, and we don't know what Ultron or his drones can do, please, for my peace of mind," Thor said. He kissed her once more than looked up. "HEM..." He didn't get it all out as he was suddenly hit from behind and tossed across the roof.

"Thor." Enid cried, running over to check on him; she made it to him as Thor sat up. "Are you okay?"

"I am fine," Thor said; getting to his feet, he pushed Enid behind him, as he called Mjolnir to his hand, then ran towards the armor to fight it, having to dodge out of the way of lasers and throwing his hammer at it, Thor knew to avoid using lightning as it would just charge up the suit more.

Enid and Thor both had their minds on the one suit Thor was trying to fight when a second suit came flying in, grabbed Enid around the waist, and took off into the sky with her.

"ENID!" Thor cried out before being blasted and knocked crossed the roof by the other suit; Enid was afraid to struggle, not wanting to be dropped thousands of feet to the concert below.

Enid must have blacked out at some point because the next thing she knew, she was no longer being carried away by one of Stark's Iron Man suits but was lying on hard ground, in a cell. Enid groaned and rolled over onto her side; she felt swore, so she raised her sweater to see bruises around her stomach. It must have been from the suit gripping her so tightly.

"Sorry about that." A voice said, startled, Enid dropped her sweater and looked up, staring at her throw bars; it was a silver robot. "My friend here may have accidentally held on to you a little too tightly." He motioned towards the Iron Man suit that was standing next to him; on his other side was the girl, Wanda, her eyes still blue, so she was still under the control of Loki's scepter, which Enid just noticed was in Ultron's hand.

Enid tried to use her ability to call it to her but was surprised to find it didn't work. She couldn't feel any of her powers, not even her magic; she frowned in confusion until Enid reached up and felt a collar around her neck, one like the collar the prison had kept on Saphira so she couldn't use her powers.

"I thought it best we have our talk without you attacking me," Ultron said. Wanda stepped forward and unlocked the cell. "There now, follow me."

Enid had no other choice but to stand and follow Ultron down the hall, where he led her to a room full of computers; it reminded her a little of Stark's lab; Ultron walked over and pulled out a drew, lying on it was an unfinished robot body he had gotten from somewhere, possibly Avengers Towers.

"I brought you here to help me finish this guy." Ultron turned to her and said. "This is to be my new body. "

"I'm not helping you with anything." Enid frowned. " especially with a new, more powerful body."

"Oh, and why is that?" Ultron asked, amused.

"For one, you attacked my friends and me twice then kidnapped me; Stark should have never made you," Enid replied, "You were a mistake; you shouldn't exist."

"Oh, honey." Ultron laughed, "According to some people, you shouldn't exist either, nor any God, but here you are."

"What makes you think I can even help?" Enid demanded, "I come from a time way before any of this technology."

"But yet you know, all about it, goddess of intelligence." Ultron answered, "Don't play a dumb blonde with me. I know you were the one to invented every security system and computer program you use, from the one's used in your casino to the one on your smartphone; you can help, and you will."

"No, I won't help you." Enid snapped, backing up, but the Iron Man suit came up behind her and grabbed both her arms, and held her in place. "What are you doing? Let go." Enid tried to get free, but it didn't work, and before she could stop him, Ultron was touching her chest with the tip of Loki's scepter. Enid stopped struggling as her eyes turned black, then back blue, but a darker, different shade of blue than her standard color.

"You may let her go now," Ultron said; the suit let go of Enid's arms. "Now, you are going to help with my new body."

"Yes, of course," Enid answered, nodding her head; Ultron patted her back.

"There was that so hard," Ultron replied, "I don't think this is needed anymore." He reached up and took the collar off her. "Now, what will you do if the Avengers show up?"

"Stop them," Enid replied, then frowned; she didn't want to do that, but something was telling her she had to.

"And Thor, if he gets in the way?" Ultron demanded. Enid narrowed her eyes; she couldn't do anything to Thor; Enid loved him, but there was that voice again telling Enid she had to do it.

"I will stop him." Enid replied, "No matter what it takes."

AN I know this chapter is short, next hopefully be longer, and probably either be back to showing Loki and Saphira for a chapter or maybe showing something happening somewhere else. If I can get it written right, I've also been rereading some chapters and noticed some mistakes. If I have time when having writer's block or trouble getting a chapter right, I'm going to be fixing some of the older chapters or try anyway.
