AN I wanted to put a warning, there is a lot of violence in this chapter; some may find it a bit gory; I know I didn't give a warning last couple of chapters, but this chapter is a bit different; plus, there is some killing, and violence on female characters, so I felt I should give a warning.

Chapter 46: An Unexpected Turn

Loki remembers Saphira's childhood home; he remembers the decorations, how the corridors were lined with old damaged suits of armor because unlike most warriors, who throw the damaged armor out, or had them repaired or melted down to use the metal for other things, Bard had to show off the ones he wore in battles he won. (Loki always secretly believed it looked tacky.) Loki also remembers the gold floors and walls; Bard did try to make himself a mini palace; the manor they called home was nearly the same size.

Loki also remembers the flowers and colorful paintings of gardens and meadows that hung on the walls, Astra's doings no doubt, and Loki can remember Saphira's chambers, the one from before Bard moved here after catching her sneaking out; her room had a large window looking out to the garden she loved to work in with her mother, Loki wouldn't even consider her new room a bedroom, oh, he remembers that room, it was in the back of the manor away from everyone, you had to walk up a spiral staircase to get to it.

Loki remembers Saphira feeling depressed and hurt during the times her father forced her to live locked up like a prisoner; though he hated her being in there, it was easier for Loki to break her out with how isolated the room was; Bard did let her out when one of her parents were home, and he was going to allow her to attend Enid and Thor's wedding so not to look suspicious. After the ceremony, Loki and Saphira planned to run away together.

Then Bard attacked the palace, and that ruined their plans; once Loki had seen what was happening, he ran to Saphira's to alert her and her mother to what was going on, he knew he had to get his love off Asgard before Bard lost, he wasn't risking her getting punished because of her father; Loki could even remember what Saphira had been wearing, a beautiful silvery dress, trimmed in light blue, her gorgeous copper hair was partly in a braid, and she like usually had no shoes on, she had been in the sitting room helping her mother tend to some plants when Loki burst into the room Saphira's face went from surprised to fearful because people saw him there. When he explained what was happening, they agreed to come with him to the Bifrost.

Loki remembers that too, standing there hugging Saphira, as she cried, not wanting to leave him, she had been wearing the flowery perfume Loki had given her a month earlier; it had come in a bottle made of pink crystal, Loki remembers what he was wearing that day too, black trousers, with a green top, and black boots, it was one of his similar outfits, nothing flashy, when he had taken the outfit off to dress for bed many hours later he had tossed it in his wardrobe and had not touched or worn it since.

Until now, that is, and it's the reason for Loki bringing up these memories, and the reason he was pissed now; one moment, he was laughing and calling LeBeau a few names, jokingly, of course, then next thing Loki knew, he was no longer in that movie or any film, or Mojoverse he had been taking out and placed on Asgard, not just Asgard, but Bard's manor, Saphira's childhood home, which means someone put Mojo up to taking them in the first place, and whoever that was had a sick sense of humor, and was going to regret this, which is why Loki hadn't escaped yet, he figured whoever was behind this was still here in the manor waiting for Loki to find him because they had to have a reason for this. He guessed where that person probably was and what he wanted Loki to do. He knew this was a trap, but if Loki was right, and he was pretty sure he was, then Loki had no choice.

Back then, the two-door leading to Saphira's old room had been kept locked, and now when Loki came to the door to the stairs to Saphira's old room, he found it locked; Loki stepped back, then kicked the door opened; he made a dagger appear, then slowly walked up the stairs. He was confident that it was not only the person who brought him here in that room but also Saphira; they had gotten a hold of his wife somehow and wanted Loki to try and rescue her, leading him into a trap.

Loki made it to the door feeling angry; Bard was dead; he couldn't do anything to hurt Saphira anymore; they won; they were together, married happily, with a son on the way. Now other people were trying to screw up their happiness. And Loki wasn't going to let that happen. Once Loki confronts whoever thought it a good idea to piss him off, he will find Mojo, kill him, get the rest of his family and get back to traveling space like they were supposed to be doing.

Loki slowly turned the knob, and slowly opened the door, and walked in; the first thing he saw was Saphira sitting on her old bed, wearing the dress she had worn that day, so many years ago, she did have her head in her hand, crying, but looked up when he came into the room.

"Darling?" Loki cried out, rushing to her. He knelt in front of her, took her hands in his, then his eyes narrowed; she had a handprint on her face; someone had struck her. Loki gently turned her head to look at it. "Who did this to you?"

"My father," Saphira said, "Loki, he's alive; this is a trap."

Before Loki could answer, the door behind them slammed shut, and Loki stood and spun around, holding his dagger out; he took Saphira's hand as she stood next to him. Standing in front of the door was Bard, his hair the same white-blonde as Enid's and his eyes an icy-blue like Saphira's; he was not wearing any armor. However, he did have chainmail over his shirt and a sword hanging from his side, showing he'd come to fight, but he didn't see who he was fighting as a real threat.

"Looks like Odin lied again," Loki said, trying to contain his anger; he wanted to attack Bard slice his throat, but he didn't want to move from Saphira, where Bard might get to her. "Why have you brought us here?"

"Because I could," Bard said, "You want to fight me, but how about you wait and let me tell you a story? You figured it out, my wife and I weren't beheaded, no need to get into that; we'll skip to a few weeks ago when Alfheim was attacked by an old boss of yours, a guy named Thanos."

"Thanos?" Loki said. Saphira's grip on his hand tightened.

"He paid a visit to Alfheim, killed half the elves, the King included," Bard said.

"Grandfather?" Saphira demanded; Loki rubbed his thumb across her hand for comfort. Bard ignored her.

"He spared my son and me." Bard continued, "so we had a pleasant conversation with him, and now, we have joined him on his quest. I help him; he helps me, that kind of thing."

"That does not surprise me; you are like him." Loki snarled.

"You are one to talk." Bard said, "He told me what you guys did, tried to take over Midgard, failed your orders from Thanos, and stealing things that belong to him, now on the run and hiding."

"We are not hiding from anyone." Loki denied. "Unless you tell me why you brought us here, I am done listening to your so-called story and want to slit your throat."

Bard started laughing, "You slit my throat? Please, you couldn't beat me; I was once the God of battle; I've got thousands of years fighting experience over you."

"Was?" Saphira asked as Loki raised an eyebrow, then laughed,

"That was your punishment besides banishment; Odin stripped you of godhood; you deserved much worse than that," Loki told him. He let go of Saphira's hand and gently pushed her behind him; Bard was getting ready to strike.

Bard's face suddenly took on an angry look, one of pure hate; as he raised his sword and came after Loki, he made another dagger appear in time to stop the blow with them, then pushed forward, making Bard stumble back.

"You dare to speak to a true Asgardain like that," Bard shouted, "You dare stand there looking as if you are Asgardain when you are nothing more than a monster."

"Loki isn't a monster," Saphira said, stepping out from behind him; Loki held his arm out in front of her.

"You are the only monster standing in this room," Loki told him, pointing his dagger at him. "Now, are you going to fight, or are you planning to talk me to death?"

Bard came at Loki again; he swiftly dodged and stepped to the side, making Bard turn sideways to face him; Loki was slowly making his way to stand in front of the door; he didn't want Bard next to Saphira, but he didn't wish to have Bard's sword pointing the direction Saphira was standing either. This way, when Bard goes toward Loki, he will be heading away from Saphira, not towards her, and hopefully, it lessens the chance of her getting hurt.

"It was all my idea." Bard said, " Mojo taking you, putting you through hell in those moves, then having you brought here, putting you in those clothes it was all my doing, once I learned you had married that tramp, I knew you both had to die, I learned of Mojo and his little movie world, thought it the best way to get you here."

"You're sick," Saphira said, "You need help."

"Girl, what have I told you about that mouth," Bard said, voice raised.

"Do not speak to my wife that way," Loki shouted; he ran forward, knocking Bard back, then with his other hand, he blasted magic at him, sending him flying into the wall; he fell to the floor with a groan and glared up at Loki.

"I knew it was a matter of time before you cheated," Bard said, "Your kind always does."

"Cheated? We never set any rules in this fight; how can I be cheating." Loki demanded; Bard grabbed his sword, jumped up, and came towards Loki, but Saphira held out her foot, causing him to trip and fall; Loki laughed. Even though he secretly wished Saphira would stop getting involved so he could keep Bard's mind on him.

"Go ahead, be amused." Bard said as he stood back up, "After all, I found how tiny you look as a Frost Giant very amusing. You have always been so pathetic."

"No, he's not," Saphira told him. Bard acted like he was going after Saphira but turned at the last moment as Loki stepped forward to stop him and caught him on the timple with the sword handle, causing Loki to fall to the floor. Saphira rushed to his side, covering him and holding her hand out; as Loki blinked a few times, the hit left him dazed. "Leave him alone, you freak."

"Girl, do not talk to me in that matter," Bard demanded.

"You're supposed to be dead!" Saphira shouted, standing up; Bard raised the arm with the sword up, about to come down on Saphira's head with it; she caught it, then pushed Bard's face forward, as she brought her knee up, and hit his face with it, causing his head to fly back, then, still holding onto his arm, Saphira turned the other way, pulling Bard with her, and flipped him over her shoulder and right through her old vanity and onto the floor below.

"Asshole." Saphira spat. She made the mistake of thinking he was out of it and turned around to head towards Loki, who stood there with a shocked look on his face. Bard recovered fast, though, and got up and went for Saphira; Loki pushed Saphira aside and tackled Bard to the ground, and laid into him with his fist. Until Bard tossed Loki off him, and he hit the side of Saphira's bed, he picked up his sword as Loki just sat there; he had one hand behind his back pretending to be hurt but was conjuring another dagger.

"Leave her alone." Loki spat, "If you want to kill me, go ahead. I do have to warn you; you will not only have Thor after you but also my mother." Bard snorted.

"Frigga?" Bard demanded, "Please."

"Oh, I do not mean Frigga, I mean my birth mother; I have met her recently, we've formed a bond, and believe me, you do not want to piss her off; she can be a real evil bitch, she's who I get it from after all," Loki smirked as Bard went silent a moment.

"Hakon put an enchantment around this place, keep Heimdall from seeing anything, so Odin and that big brother of yours will not be here to save you," Bard told him.

"Odin wouldn't give a shit, and Thor is on Midgard with Enid," Loki told him, "She knows what you did to Saphira, locking her up; she now hates you too; I would not visit her any time soon. "

"Yeah, I figured Saphira would run her mouth and turn my daughter against me." Bard turned and looked at Saphira. "But it matters not to me now; I have a son, Hakon; he is worth ten of you."

"A son?" Saphira asked.

"Did you not hear me moments ago? I have mentioned him three times now." Bard said, "Does not surprise me though; your voice is the only one you ever hear."

"Bastard," Saphira said; Bard glared.

"You keep running that mouth," Bard told her; he turned back to Loki. "That is not surprising. Her legs weren't the only thing she couldn't keep closed."

Loki growled, jumped up, and drove the dagger into Bard's side or tried to; the chainmail stopped it from going in, and Bard knocked Loki to the side, then brought his sword down, getting Loki across his eye. Loki fell to the ground holding it; as Saphira cried out and rushed past Bard to his side, blood was already running into Loki's eye, making it hard to see.

"You're making me sick; get up." Bard cried and grabbed Saphira by the curls and jerked her away from Loki and to her feet, where he pushed her back.

"Do not put your hands on her." Loki cried out, trying to get to his feet; Bard turned from Saphira and headed towards him, and Saphira rushed forward to stop him.

"Leave him alone." Saphira cried out. She attacked Bard, hitting and punching him; Bard brought his hand back and shoved her to the ground; he put his foot on her shoulder and held her in place.

"Just because you have that thing growing inside you does not mean I will not give you the whipping your mother would never allow me to give you," Bard told her; Saphira's eyes widened in surprise.

"Yeah, I know about that; I was watching your movies play out; that last one made me physically ill," Bard told her; he reached down and grabbed her hair again, pulled her to her feet, and pushed her into the wall. "You are the sick one, allowing that monster to touch you; in that way, you are a whore."

. "I am not. Loki and I are married," Saphira told him "married couples do have children together." Bard grabbed her under the chin with a tight grip.

"That thing inside of you is no child." Bard told her, "It is an abomination. A betray to me, your family, and a betray to Asgard."

Saphira jerked her head away and smacked Bard across the face, "Don't you dare say such things about my baby."

Bard brought his hand back and smacked Saphira across the face, knocking her back into the wall; her head struck it hard, and she slid to the floor, almost knocked out. Bard then came down with his sword; Saphira covered her face thinking he was aiming for it, but instead, Bard took his sword through the front left side of her hair, cutting it.

"My hair." Saphira cried, staring in shock at the copper locks now lying on the floor; as she felt her head, Bard burst out laughing. He knew how much Saphira loved her hair, how much she put into it, and her looks, Saphira even as a child, had always been a little vain.

"Looks like I ruined your hair." Bard teased, "Maybe your face will be next; nothing worse I could do to you than ruin your looks."

Saphira made a cat-like hiss before jumping up and attacking her father; she laid into him with hits and kicks; surprised Bard started backing up, then Saphira gave him one good push, he stumbled back and ran right into Loki, who had taken so long getting up because he was healing his cut, he didn't have time to clean his face and was too pissed off to care.

As Bard turned around, Loki grabbed him, and tossed him across the room, then walked over to him and kicked Bard in the side hard.

"How dare you speak to my wife that way, how dare you hurt her," Loki said, then picked Bard back up and slammed him against the wall. "How dare you talk of my unborn child that way. My son will grow up to be far greater than yours."

Loki grabbed Bard's head and shoved him across the room, then made a dagger appear, and as Bard tried to get his feet, Loki grabbed him and just cut away at Bard's hair before shoving him to the ground.

Bard glared up at him as Loki put his foot on his chest and held him down.

"You bastard ." Bard cried, "You had no right."

"Only fair, you cut of Saphira's hair," Loki told him. Bard growled and threw Loki off him; while he stumbled back, Bard was able to get to his feet and come after him, picking up the dagger Loki had dropped, but as he went to stab him, vines shot up, wrapping around his arms and legs pulling him back to the ground.

"What the hell?" Bard said, looking down, then back up at Saphira, who had walked up next to stand next to Loki. "Are you doing this?"

"You always said I was going to be a weak goddess; my powers were nothing special," Saphira said, "Well, I prove you wrong; it turns out I'm even more special than anyone realized. "

"Girl, you better let me out of here," Bard warned.

"I'm not afraid of you, Father; I am not weak," Saphira said. "You are."

"You have always been a disgrace, a shame on the family," Bard said, "You disgust me."

"Go to hell?" Saphira told him. Then Bard gasped and grabbed at his throat with one hand; as he tried to breathe, Saphira used her air manipulation to pull the air from his lungs.

"I did nothing wrong, but you locked me up anyway; you were cruel and heartless. Saphira shouted, "You had no right to treat me that way. I was your daughter. You were supposed to love me, support me, not see me as a disappointment; you don't deserve me as your daughter, and especially not Enid; she is too good for you; we are better off without you."

"My love." Loki cut into her rant, laying his hand on her arm. "Think of the baby; you should not get so upset." That got Saphira to calm down a little, and she took a few deep breaths.

Saphira let the air go back into Bard's lungs; he took a deep breath and coughed; Saphira laid her hand across her stomach and took a few more deep breaths; Loki was right; she didn't want to risk getting too upset.

"I'm sick of hearing you run your mouth," Bard said after recovering. "I do not know what you just did to me or how, but you're going to pay." He remembered he had a dagger in his hand. He started cutting at the vines with it.

Loki wanted to torture Bard for a while but knew this had to end before Saphira got seriously hurt, so he had Saphira get back into the corner by the door and made his scepter appear, and waited as he allowed Bard to cut himself free and when he finally got loose, Loki kicked his sword to him, wanting him to take it, Bard did, then stood, and looked towards Saphira.

"Eyes on me," Loki told him, "You fight me, leave her out of this, want revenge or whatever else you think you are entitled, you come after me, not her."

"I can do that," Bard said, then raised his sword and rushed at Loki, who stopped the blade with the scepter then pushed Bard back; he stumbled, straightened up, and came at Loki again, who moved to the opposite direction then Saphira was standing. For the next ten minutes or so, Bard and Loki had a bit of a sword fight with Bard's sword and Loki's scepter, both at times getting the other with a cut or hit.

Bard, however, was able to get the upper hand and was soon backing Loki up; he was able to push Loki back, then come at him with his sword, aiming to kill, Loki defending himself by sending Bard back with a blast of magic; he flew back and slammed into the wall, then fell to the floor. Bard got up almost immediately.

"I am going to end you now, you Jotunn fifth." Bard snared and raised his sword, and ran towards Loki.

Loki stepped sideways as Bard made it to him; came around his behind him with his scepter and drove it right into Bard's back; whatever kind of metal LeBeau had given him to make the blades had been tough enough to go right through the chainmail and into Bard's back, his chest arched out, eyes widened in surprise, and he dropped his sword. Loki yanked the scepter out of his back, causing him to gasp then he fell to the floor. Loki stood over him a moment then got down next to him.

"I'm going to let you in on a little secret," Loki said, "All those years ago when you tried to keep Saphira and me apart, it didn't work, even when you moved her to this room, I would come to save her take her to the palace, or I would shift into one of our other friends and hang out here with her, so, if you could not keep us apart, then you sure can not now, I'm going to leave you lying here whatever happens to you happens."

Loki stood back up had to look around to find Saphira, who had went over and sat on her bed; the scepter disappeared from his hand as he walked over to her and knelt in front of her.

"Darling?" Loki asked, laying his hand on her knee.

"I'm okay," Saphira said. "Just tried."

"Are you sure?" Loki asked. He reached out and lifted the cut part of Saphira's hair; looking at it, Bard's sword had cut part of the left side of her hair off; she'll have to give herself a haircut to fix it.

"Yes, I'm fine, but your eye?" Saphira asked, reaching out and laying her hand on his cheek to look at it. That side of Loki's face had blood all over it.

"Do not worry, I've healed the wound; I'm fine," Loki told her; he took her hand in his, and Saphira looked over at Bard.

"Is he...is he..dead?" Saphira had to hold back a sob; yes, this man treated her like shit, but he was still her father; it was hard not to feel a little sad.

"Not yet, but unless he finds a way out of here to seek help, he'll probably lay there and bleed out."

Loki wasn't sure how bad Bard's wounds were; he wasn't a god anymore but still Asgardain, who are born tough and known to survive some nasty injuries; even though his specter had been able to go through the chainmail, the bottom of the blade got caught so, he didn't get to push it in as far as he wanted. Though if Bard didn't get the help he needed. He'll most likely lay there and bleed to death before his wound starts healing.

"I just want to go," Saphira said; Loki nodded in understanding, and stood up, and helped Saphira to her feet; he then kissed her forehead and put his arm around her.

"Feel like making one more stop?" Loki asked.

"If it's to save our family from Mojo, then yes," Saphira replied.

"We've been there, so I should be able to teleport us to where Mojo is, find him, and get our family back," Loki said, and with that, he teleported away, holding Saphira against him.

Loki was right. He was able to teleport right inside Mojo's television studio; he used magic to change them both into the outfits worn during the Battle of New York, before taking Saphira's hand and heading off to find where Mojo was, didn't take them long to find his central control room; Loki let go of Saphira's hand and didn't even try to open the door he just kicked it down and entered.

"Knock, Knock," Loki said, walking across the door, "Whose there, the big bad wolf."

One of Mojo's people rushed at Loki, who just flipped him over his shoulder, then slit his throat with one of his daggers, then jumped up and turned around in time to drive the same dagger through the skull of another guy coming at him, then grabbed another and threw him out of the window; Saphira just stood by the door letting Loki have all the fun, as he slit the throat of another guy. When the last one came at him, Loki grabbed him, turned him around, and snapped his neck; in a matter of minutes, all the guys in the room where Mojo was in were now dead on the floor, and Loki turned his attention to Mojo.

"Hello," Loki gave that creepy smile that makes him look insane.

"What the..." Mojo cried out, surprised, "How'd you get in here." Mojo had to be the ugliest, most disgusting thing he had ever seen; his entire body was that of an obese..something, the lower part was a robotic spider leg.

"Are you draft? Or blind, perhaps?" Loki asked, pointing towards the door. "I just walked through the door."

"Look, I know you are a little mad, but no reason to ." Mojo tried but went silent at the look Loki gave him.

"A little mad? A little?" Loki turned towards Saphira. "He thinks I'm just a little mad."

"He's a dumbass." Saphira said, "And ugly."

"Oh, I'm more than just a little mad," Loki said; turning back to Mojo, he walked towards him and raised his foot, then put it on the metal part under Mojo's stomach and gave a push forcing Mojo to walk backward.

Loki turned around and walked over to the controls, then looked towards Saphira.

"Darling, do you know anything about computers? Can you send our family back to the ship before I destroy all this and kill Mojo?" Loki asked.

Saphira walked over and started looking the controls over. Something over in the corner caught Loki's eye. He turned and looked to see a young man, white-blonde hair, bent down trying to hide behind a table in the corner; he stared up at Loki with wide, frightened violet eyes; Loki knew right away who it had to be, and for a split moment wanted to call him out, but decided against it, he was only a child and not worth his time, so Loki turned his attention back to Mojo.

"Okay, more than a little," Mojo said. "It's a joke, that's all, nothing personal."

"A joke?" Loki demanded, stalking him, "Nothing personal? You kidnap my wife; you kidnap me; you kidnapped my sister, brother, mother, and friend then put us in your movies, where at times we were fighting for our lives, and you don't think I should take that personal? What about sending us to be attacked by Bard?"

"This was all Bard's idea. I only wanted to mess with the Guardians of the Galaxy; Bard is the one who wanted me to bring you here; I wanted no part of it." Mojo tries to explain.

Loki stopped Mojo's ranting by making his scepter appear and using it to destroy the monitors hanging on the wall to the right, which made loud popping and sparking noises, and sparks flew everywhere; when Loki turned back to Mojo, he had backed away more.

"It does not matter who put us there; Bard failed to kill us, and now it's time for you to pay because nobody messes with me, my wife, or our family," Loki told him.

"I did it." Saphira cried, "I sent them all back to where our ship is, even the Guardians."

"Excellent, darling." Loki praised. "Now, do me one more favor and go stand by the door."

"Okay, baby," Saphira said, knowing Loki just wanted her where she wouldn't accidentally get hit with anything while he destroyed the controls. And the moment she was standing over there, Loki turned around the room, destroying all the monitors and power buttons; before turned back to Mojo, smiling, he flipped his scepter.

"You...that stuff was expensive." Mojo cried, "I can't have my shows and movies without it."

"Oh, it's nothing personal," Loki said. Then tossed the scepter like someone might a boomerang; it went turning through the air, slicing off Mojo's head, blood gushed up everywhere along with a few wires, Mojo's robotic legs made a nose then collapsed, leaving the dead body leaning forward, blood dropping on to the floor.

Loki held his hand out, and the scepter turned and headed back towards him; Loki caught it by the handle, flicked the blood off, then sent it back to his pocket dimension before turning and heading back towards Saphira.

The boomerang-like trick the scepter now had, was just Loki calling it back to him like Thor did Mjolnir; Loki accomplished it by putting some of his magic into the scepter, in a way, it had a part of Loki in it so that he could call it back to him, even if it somehow got separated by a significant distance he could call it to him by it going through his pocket dimension, after a while of Loki not using it, it disappears on its own into the pocket dimension, especially if someone else takes it, it may no longer have the Mind Stone in it, but was still a powerful weapon on its own, thanks to the work Loki put into it.

Loki gave Mojo no second thought as he made it to Saphira; he put his arm around her, and they teleported away, over behind the table. Hakon stood up, glaring at where the two had disappeared; his fear and shock now turned to anger; he couldn't teleport, but he was able to travel through magical passways, so he could go straight to Asgard and find his father, hopefully alive.

AN: I don't have anything to say except they'll be a bit of a time jump in the next chapter, probably an even bigger one in the next chapter or two. And Saphira didn't bother sending Nebula back anywhere, but we'll say when they destroyed Mojo's control's she went back to wherever she was when taken; I admit she was only there so I could give her a fight scene with Saphira.

Passway thing I mean is like what Loki and Thor did in Thor the dark world; going through that, I guess you'd call it a passway, anyway not sure if I explained that right or not, but for him to do it, they have to be one there to pass through.
