Chapter 58: The Wedding
Enid opened her eyes to the sound of the chamber door opening; Thor was still lying next to her in bed, so he hadn't gotten up and left, but after a moment, she knew who it was right away when a seventeen-pound baby was sat on her side, an annoying way her little sister has gotten in the habit of waking her up.
"Saphira, go away," Enid mumbled as Fenrir crawled over her side and onto the bed next to her; he fell over on his back in between her and Thor, then giggled.
"You know what day it is, sissy," Saphira replied, shaking Enid, "So, get up lots to do."
Enid has no idea why, but the last couple of days, Saphira had started calling her sissy, like she did when they were children; Enid didn't mind, but it slightly concerned her, Saphira has acted a bit attached to her since the Morwen thing, and Enid has noticed a change in her since she's arrived, she's mentioned it to Loki, he said Saphira has been acting like that right after her depressed mood seemed to go away, he believes it has something to do with that, plus she's gotten calmer since Fenrir was born, he figured becoming a mother changed her a bit. However, he wasn't too worried because she still acts like herself in other ways. She's just a bit attached to everyone.
"The wedding isn't until this evening. There is plenty of time." Enid replied, "So, please go away."
"I'll just wake Thor then," Saphira said; she walked over to Thor's side of the bed and reached out to shake him.
"Do not even think about it." Thor suddenly said, and Enid smiled; she had a feeling he was awake. "Do as your sister says and go away."
"Aww, blondie, don't be mean," Saphira said, shaking Thor anyway
"Saphira, stop." Thor demanded, "Do not make me throw you."
"Brother." Loki's voice came from behind Enid. "You might as well get up; she will not leave you alone until you do."
Enid sat up and leaned her back against the headboard of the bed; she glanced over at Loki; he was leaning with his upper body against the doorway, with his arms crossed; he was wearing black jeans and a black t-shirt, he saw her looking at him, and winked, making Enid turn away, it was way too early for Loki's pretend to flirt with her to annoy her routine.
"What time is it?" Enid asked, yawning, as Fenrir crawled onto her lap.
"Not sure, but the sun is up," Saphira answered, pointing towards the balcony. Enid looked, and even though the sun was up, she guessed it was still pretty early.
"How are you so cheerful so early," Enid demanded, "You aren't usually a morning person."
"I take credit for her cheerfulness, " Loki said, smirking, "With what Saphira and I did this morning before Fenrir woke up."
"I did not need to know that," Enid replied, making a face; really, she didn't want to hear about Loki and Saphira's private marriage life; that was just gross.
"You asked," Loki replied, just as Thor got out of bed.
"We are up; now get out," Thor ordered. To Enid's amusement, he picked Saphira up with one arm around her waist and carried her over to Loki, and sat her down in front of him. "Here is your wife back, brother; you may leave now."
"That was rude, you know," Saphira said, as Thor shoved both out of the room.
"So is barging into someone's chambers and waking them up," Thor replied; he went to close the door.
"Wait, what about..." Thor didn't listen to what Saphira was trying to say and closed the door, turning around only to pause at the sight of Fenrir sitting in Enid's lap. The chamber door opened again, and Saphira and Loki came back in.
"Give me my baby, dumbass." Saphira snapped.
"Sorry," Thor apologized, walked over and picked up Fenrir, who tugged on Thor's hair, and carried him over to Saphira. "There now go, if you want, we will meet you down in the hall for breakfast."
"Fine, but if poor Fen Fen is traumatized, it's your fault," Saphira told him, hugging Fenrir to her.
"Stop being so dramatic, Mrs. Loki," Thor said, making them both get out before closing the door. Enid couldn't help it; she started laughing.
Saphira had been right about one thing, even though the wedding was hours away, and they've been preparing it for weeks; there were still dozens of things to do, or in some cases redo, like some of the decorations had fallen and needed to be replaced, Enid had to make sure the village seamstress had the wedding outfits not yet delivered, delivered, so they could make sure everything fit who it was supposed to. Then they had to make sure the kitchens were cooking the right foods and had more than enough for the guest. Enid made a note to mention to Thor the kitchen staff needed a bonus, then decided to add all the palace staff and even some villagers to that list because everyone was working overtime to make sure her wedding was perfect. Enid appreciated it, and it showed just how much respect the Asgardians have for Thor, another good reason to treat them nicely, if or when Thor becomes King, they wanted the people to respect him because of kindness and fairness, and not out of fear and throwing their power around.
One good thing about keeping busy, the thought of how Saphira was going to react when their mother showed up for the wedding, was pushed to the back of her mind, with everything that happened at the beginning of the week. Then all the wedding planning, Enid had honestly forgotten about telling Saphira Odin invited her, Rogue who saw it in Enid's memories, when using her powers on her, told Loki, who told Saphira, who comforted Enid about it, then to Enid's shock Saphira hadn't gotten mad, after a moment she just sighed and vowed to pretend she wasn't there if she even shows, then promised Enid, she wasn't mad at her, before hugging Enid then walked away. If Enid hadn't been so busy and had so much on her mind, she would be more concerned with the change in Saphira's attitude but instead wrote it off as motherhood changing her as Loki said; she would come to regret that in the future.
Enid was also glad for the distractions to keep her mind off what happened to her, and being worried that Morwen could somehow come back, she was having nightmares about what happened, she felt like someone violated her mind, and it wasn't entirely hers anymore, Thor was being so understanding and sweet, whenever she woke him up because of a dream, he held her and comforted her, which was a lot of help. Still, Enid was looking forward to leaving and going back to Midgard and forgetting it ever happened.
"It's so gorgeous, sister," Saphira said as she and Enid stood in front of Enid's wedding dress, it was a beautiful grown, sleeveless, long, and puffed out a bit at the bottom, and it was gold and shimmered and shined. The matching cape did the same; they were now all starting to dress and get ready for the wedding, they were using Loki's chambers to get ready in, and Thor and the guys were in Thor's who took Fenrir with him, so Saphira could help do the women's hair and makeup.
Enid sat down at the vanity so Saphira could do her hair; she used her abilities to heat a curling iron to curl the hair of those who didn't have naturally curly hair; Enid thought it was a bit silly. Still, Saphira insisted everyone that was to stand next to her should all have similar hairstyles; the others agreed, all excited about dressing up and looking nice since they never had reasons to do so. All but Mystique, who threw on the weirdest and most revealing dress Enid had ever seen, it was long, white, no sleeves, but had a collar that came up around her throat, with a slit on both sides that came up almost to Mystique's hips, she wore tall white boots, and long white gloves, a white skull belt around her waist and a white skull in the middle of her forehead.
"Isn't there a rule not to wear white unless you're the bride?" Rogue asked; Mystique shrugged.
"The bride isn't wearing white." Mystique answered; Enid didn't care to be honest; that was a Midgardain thing, though part of her did wish her dress covered more, it was Mystique's body, her choice in what she did or didn't wear.
"Are you going to keep your hair long like this?" Saphira asked as she pulled the two braids she had done in Enid's hair back and started braiding them together.
"No, I'll probably cut it off again soon," Enid answered.
"But you look so much better with long hair," Saphira replied, "Wish my hair would hurry and grow back."
"Sister, your hair is down your back," Enid replied, "I say that is long enough."
"It's not down to my waist like it was before," Saphira replied, "Maybe I'll let it grow even longer this time."
"Go ahead." Mystique replied, "I'm sure Fen would love to pull all of that out."
"I'll have him broken from that by then," Saphira vowed. Mystique crossed her leg over the other, and Enid noticed she once again had her gun strapped to her leg.
"Odin gave you your weapons back?" Enid asked, curious; it didn't seem like something Odin would do.
"Nope." Mystique said, smirking.
"You forget, sissy, we have the greatest thief in the galaxy with us," Saphira replied.
"You mean Gambit?" Enid demanded, "How did he steal from Odin? Better yet, how did he find out where he stashed the weapons?"
"Where does Odin keep everything he wants to hide?" Saphira demanded, "In that stupid vault of his, and Remy has his ways, it was probably very easy for him; he is the best at what he does."
"I would guess some guards are walking around too embarrassed about being beaten up by one Midgardain to mention anything missing from the vault." Mystique put in.
"Should we be talking about that," Rogue asked, nodding towards Frigga; she just smiled at Rogue.
"Talking about what, dear?" Frigga asked, "I'm pretty old; my hearing does not always work as it should."
"Oh, I like you." Rogue laughed.
Saphira got done with Enid's hair, then did her makeup, then moved on to do Sif's hair; they all chatted along as they got ready; Saphira fixed Sif's hair like she did Enid's, then put her makeup on her, afterward moved on to help Rogue, as Frigga was helping Enid get into her dress; once she had it on, Enid looked into the mirror and looked at her reflection, she couldn't believe this day was finally happening. She senses no horrible feeling and likes the tarot reading she got when she did one for herself than Thor; Enid was confident this day would be perfect.
"Sister, you look so gorgeous," Saphira said, walking up behind her. "It's a good thing the dress hides your hips."
"Sister, do you have to bring up my hips." Enid demanded, "I can't help it if I'm not a toothpick like you."
"I was only making a statement," Saphira replied, "You don't have to yell at me."
"Don't have to yell?" Enid demanded, "You're making fun of me, and I'm not yelling."
"Girls, please," Frigga spoke up, "No fighting, and, Saphira, that was uncalled for, be nice to your sister; she's the only one you have."
"I was only saying." Saphira defended Frigga gave her a stern look. "Okay, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been mean."
"I'm sorry, too; I shouldn't have yelled at you," Enid said.
Mystique started laughing, "Two grown women scolded by their mother-in-law; this is more entertaining than the last movie I watched. Though if it was me, I'd let them come to blows; it would be interesting to see who would win."
"Raven," Frigga warned, putting her hands on her hips, and giving her the same stern look she gave Saphira; Mystique held up her hands as if in surrounder while laughing.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready?" Enid asked, turning to Saphira; she was wearing her dress but had yet to fix her hair and makeup. "You know how long it takes you, and I don't want any of us to make the wedding start late or.."
"I promise you; I'll be ready on time; I was just about to go fix my hair," Saphira replied, "Calm down, don't turn into a bridezilla." Saphira walked over and sat at the vanity.
"Bridezilla?" Frigga asked; she was already ready, with her hair up in a fancy bun and wearing a yellow dress.
"That's what they call brides on Midgard that are demanding, over the top, and act completely ridiculous." Mystique explained.
"In other words, what Saphira would have been if she and Loki hadn't eloped ." Enid teased.
"Haha, you're so funny, sissy," Saphira replied.
"That describes how Loki acts about everything," Sif said, all but Saphira started laughing.
"Would you people please stop making fun of my husband and me," Saphira demanded.
"We are just teasing, sister," Enid replied, walking over to her, and started taking over fixing Saphira's hair, so that she could apply her makeup.
"Loki thinks I'm going to break that unwritten wedding rule of not looking prettier than the bride," Saphira said. "Not on purpose, of course."
"Well, he may think that if he wants, you are his wife, not me," Enid replied. She couldn't care less if Loki thought she looked pretty or not.
"Mind you, he didn't say those exact words," Saphira admitted, "He said he couldn't wait to see me all dressed up because I was bound to be the most beautiful person at the wedding."
"Do you have something to hold your hair back?" Enid asked; Saphira picked up a hairclip and handed it to her.
"I hope Thor appreciates it," Saphira told her. "Even though he did threaten to throw me this morning."
Enid looked down at the hairclip and smiled; it was the shape of lightning, with little blue gems. Saphira's little way of showing she supported Thor and their marriage.
"You know Thor wouldn't have done that," Enid said, smiling slightly.
"Of course not; Loki would have torn him apart," Saphira replied.
"Sister, Loki is a good fighter, near Thor's level even, but he couldn't beat him," Enid replied.
"Yes, he can," Saphira argued.
"I'm going to side with Enid on this; Thor could take Loki," Sif said.
"Thor is great, and all, but I've seen Loki fight, and I'm going to have to agree with Saphira; my brother could beat Thor if he wanted to." Rogue put in.
"He almost did." Saphira said, "That time they fought on the Bifrost. If Thor hadn't cheated by putting Mjolnir on Loki's chest, he would have so won that fight."
"No, he wouldn't have." Enid said. "And I hardly call that cheating."
"When you get done with Saphira's hair, I have something for you, " Frigga said, purposely changing the subject, stopping any fight from starting.
When Enid got done, Frigga walked over with a small wooden chest and held it out to Enid, telling her to open it; Enid did, and her eyes widened, and her mouth dropped open when she saw, in the box sitting in blue velvet was a gorgeous diamond tiara.
"it's beautiful," Enid said.
"My first crown," Frigga said, "It was a gift to me at my wedding, the only time I ever wore it; now I wish for you to have it."
"Thank you," Enid told her, fighting back the tears as Frigga put it on her head.
"Well, sister, are you ready to get married?" Saphira replied.
Enid felt nervous as she walked towards the throne room with her group of people; by now, the guest should be waiting, and Thor, and his guys, which included Loki, would be standing on their side next to the throne's platform where Odin should be standing, all waiting on them, once Frigga and Mystique stepped inside. They would follow one by one; what Enid wasn't expecting was to walk up to see her mother and grandmother standing outside the throne room doors, waiting to be able to greet her.
"Enid." Astra cried out when she saw her and rushed to her, "You look so beautiful." She hugged Enid, holding her a little too tightly, "I was so happy to get the invitation; I thought I'd never see you again."
"Mother." Enid greeted, "It's nice that you could make it."
"Your uncle Alaric is already inside," Vera told her, stepping up and hugging Enid; as she did so, Astra suddenly gasped, and Enid turned to see she was looking at Saphira.
"I did not think you would be here; I thought you were on the run and hiding." Astra cried.
Astra rushed forward and hugged Saphira; Enid chewed on her lip, hoping she didn't say anything that would start anything; thankfully, Saphira just stood there, not moving, before Astra pulled away.
"I can not believe my eyes." Vera said, "You could be Aurelia's twin."
"Grandmother." Saphira smiled this time and hugged Vera back as she hugged her. Enid saw hurt flash across Astra's face; Frigga must have seen it too, as she stepped forward with a smile. Welcomed them, then suggested they all find seats together because Thor was waiting on his bride.
"You okay," Enid asked Saphira once the door closed behind the others; she smiled at Enid and nodded.
"I'm fine." Saphira replied, "What about you?"
"I'm nervous but fine," Enid replied.
Rogue was the first out of the three of them to enter, as she would be last in Enid's line, Sif would go next, then it would be Saphira; Enid felt even more nervous as it came her time to enter the throne room and walked down to stand in front of Thor, who smiled at her as she stood across from him, he looked handsome with part of his hair pulled back, with tiny braids in his hair, he too was wearing a crown. He was in gold armor and a red cape and black boots; he had a Mjolnir hanging from his side.
Standing next to Thor was Loki; he looked odd in all gold armor and red cap, with a gold helmet sitting on top of his head, with wings on the side, and his hair was fixed similar to Thor's, he didn't see Enid glancing at him, because he couldn't take his eyes off Saphira who stood across from him, next to Loki stood Hogun. Fandral, both dressed similar to Loki, Fenrir was with Kurt and Remy, in Kurt's lap, who sat in the crowd both wearing a tuxedo, Fenrir too was wearing a little tux, and Mystique and Frigga had set next to them. Astra and Vera sat behind them, next to Enid's uncle Alaric, who gave Enid a wave.
Enid's Nervousness went away as their ceremony started; Odin first did the routines and blessings, while magic from Gungnir surrounded them, then Enid said her vows as Thor stood there smiling at her, after her vows, she placed a gold wedding band on Thor's finger. It was Thor's turn to say his vows, as he told them, tears slipped from Enid's eyes, as she smiled back at him. He put Enid's gold wedding band on her finger; Frigga then came up and blessed their union surrounding them in more magic, then Odin pronounced them husband and wife, and everyone cheered as they kissed.
"You finally did it, sissy." Saphira said, hugging her, "Thor officially belongs to you now." Enid laughed.
"Thor doesn't belong to me." Enid smiled.
"Yes, he does," Saphira said, "Just like Loki belongs to me." Enid looked over at Loki, smiling and shaking Thor's hand, congratulating him; Thor held his arms out, wanting a hug.
"Fine, just this once." Loki gave in, and Thor hugged him as Loki awkwardly patted Thor on the back; Saphira and Enid laughed at them. Then Loki pulled himself from Thor and turned to them and took Saphira's hand, and the two-headed towards the grand hall, where the other guests had gone to wait for Enid and Thor to arrive. The newly wedded couple turned to each other and smiled.
"You look beautiful," Thor told her, walking over to her for a kiss.
"Thanks." Enid replied, "You do too."
"Handsome." Thor said, smiling, "Women are beautiful; men are handsome."
"Okay." Enid laughed as they leaned in to kiss again. "We better get in there; everyone is waiting for us."
"A part of me wishes we didn't have to," Thor admitted.
"Yeah, but, without us, who will keep Saphira from killing my mother," Enid replied, "You know Loki won't."
"No, Loki, will just stand there and watch," Thor replied; Enid agreed and put her arm through Thor's as they headed towards the grand hall.
When the two of them walked into the hall for the wedding feast, they found Astra, Vera, and Alaric sitting at the royal table, along with the others that were Odin's guests, plus Frigga, Remy, Mystique, Rogue, Kurt, Loki, and Saphira They took seats next to them; Thor sat next to Saphira, who had Loki on her other side and Enid sat next Thor, with Astra across from her.
"Loki, it's been a while," Astra said, "I heard the two of you got married, but I did not expect you to be here."
"Astra." Loki nodded his head slightly. "Why would I not be here? Thor is my brother, is he not?" Enid wondered if everyone else felt as awkward as she did.
"I was told by someone you two were in hidden from him," Astra explained.
"I hide from no one," Loki said, frowning as his eyes narrowed; he knew who she was talking about, so did Enid, Thor and Saphira, who was glaring at Astra, who just looked down at her food, picking at it with her fork, until Thor started explaining that Saphira and Loki were living in a spaceship traveling the galaxy for fun, not hiding which wasn't entirely accurate. Still, Astra didn't need to know that.
Astra turned to him to listen. And Enid looked around the table. Fenrir was down the table with Mystique, and Enid had a feeling that it was on purpose. Her grandmother Vera and Uncle Alaric was sitting towards the other end of the table, having a conversation with Frigga and Odin; Vera smiled a lot, but it didn't reach her eyes; Enid had noticed the same sadness lingering on her mother and uncle's face, and she understood they were still grieving over her grandfather and uncle's deaths along with half of Alfheim.
Enid had never been so glad for a meal to be over and to move to the ballroom for the party; it felt so awkward she could barely eat; every few minutes, Astra would switch from talking to her to talking to Saphira when she finally realized Saphira was not going to answer her, Astra switched to only talking to Enid, just little things, whatever came to her mind. At one point, Astra brought up their brother Hakon and started bragging about how advice in magic he was and how she wished he could have been there to meet them; at that point, Saphira had got up and left the hall without a word to anyone, a moment later Loki followed, Enid, would have loved to check on her too but was stuck staying where she was.
Everyone seemed to be having a good time, dancing, laughing, and drinking; throughout the evening, there were many sounds of breaking cups with the word another following, Loki and Saphira stuck around their group, and Enid and Thor were standing at the bar over to the side Thor was having a beer and Enid wine, they were trying to get a few moments alone together when her mother and her family walked up to them.
"We are going to catch the Bifrost back to Alfheim now," Vera said, "It was a lovely wedding; congratulations, I wish you two nothing but happiness."
"Thanks, grandmother," Enid said, hugging her. Vera turned to Thor.
"It was nice to meet finally; the Thor." Vera teased him; Thor smiled at her and thanked her for coming.
"My daughter hates me," Astra said; Enid glanced over at Saphira, who was hanging on Loki's arm, laughing, at something Remy was saying. their little family was gathered in a circle talking to just each other and Frigga, who was holding Fenrir, he had his head on her shoulder like he was trying to go to sleep. After a moment, Frigga and Mystique left the room with him; Enid guessed they offered to put Fenrir to bed.
"She's angry, mother," Enid replied, taking a sip from her wine. "And she's been through a lot; please leave Saphira be." Astra frowned at her.
"Give her time, Astra, " Vera said, "We did ignore the girls for over a century; maybe at some point, they'll be willing to visit Alfheim."
"I swear to look at her; it's almost as if grandmother Aurelia walked right out of her portrait," Alaric said, "And I found out my little niece is a thief; look at her husband's feet; he wears the boots I invented, the ones that can run up anything that disappeared years ago." Alaric laughed, "I now know where they went."
"Well, you made another pair," Vera replied, then turned to Enid, "I hate to bring this up, but when Thanos attacked us, he said something about Saphira and Loki used to work for him, please tell me that is not true."
"It is not." Thor replied before Enid could, "My brother was captured and tortured by Thanos, then he forced him into doing his bidding by threatening Saphira. Loki had no choice. Thankfully they were able to escape him."
"Oh, I am so sorry," Vera said, "Yes, I'm glad they escaped that monster; unfortunately, he has Hakon and Bard working with him now; please warn Saphira to be careful. " She looked at Enid, "Your father was not happy upon hearing the news about Saphira and Loki."
"We know," Enid replied, "While back, he kidnapped Saphira and Loki, tried to kill them, even cut her hair off; Loki beat him in their fight, they were able to get away, and Saphira was pregnant, Bard knew, but didn't care, called her a whore, said their baby was a monster."
"Dear God, the poor girl," Vera said, looking towards Saphira.
"You say Saphira was pregnant?" Astra asked; she looked towards Saphira, "The baby she, Loki and their friends were playing with all night, that's Saphira's baby? Am I a grandmother?"
"Yes, his name is Fenrir; he's a little over seven months old," Enid replied, "And I'm sorry, mother, but Saphira will never let you near him."
"Give the child time, Astra." Vera encouraged. "Surely, she can not stay mad at you forever." Enid wanted to ask Vera if she wanted to bet on that but kept her mouth closed.
They chatted for a little bit more, then left to head back to their realm; once they disappeared out of the room, Loki and Saphira walked up to them.
"Are they leaving now?" Saphira asked.
"Yes, they are gone," Enid replied. "And, sister, I thank you for just ignoring her and not starting a fight; I know it couldn't have been easy."
"No, and she kept bringing up Hakon; I wanted to hit her," Saphira said, "My own mother."
"That's what Bard did when we fought," Loki explained.
"It brought all that make to my mind; I thought I was over it," Saphira said. Enid reached out and pulled Saphira into a hug. They stood like that for a moment before pulling away. "Sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your wedding party."
"You didn't," Enid replied, and Thor patted her on the back, and Saphira turned to him and smiled.
"Come on, dummy, dance with me," Saphira said, grabbing Thor's arm and dragging hI'm off.
"I am sure you realize my wife pulled your husband away to threaten him," Loki said.
"Let me guess; she's threatening him with being burnt alive if he breaks my heart or hurts me in any way." Enid guessed.
"Indeed," Loki replied, "Well, since they are dancing?" Loki held his hand out to Enid, she took it, and he pulled her away from the bar, and they began to dance with one another.
"I guess I should probably threaten you." Loki grinned, then twirled her. "Umm, I will stab you a dozen times if you hurt my brother. That should be good enough."
"I'll keep that in mind," Enid replied, smiling. "I should warn you; I don't find you scary."
"Ah, but that is because I am without a dagger." Loki joked.
"Is that why?" Enid laughed, surprised at how easy it was to talk to Loki at that moment.
"Honestly, though, I am happy for the two of you," Loki said, "do not tell Thor I said that. I will deny it."
"Your secret is safe with me," Enid replied, "thanks, and thanks for making Saphira so happy; she deserves it."
"You both do," Loki replied, "We all do, and Saphira has made me the happiest I've ever been; I do not know what I would do without her. She and Fenrir, they are my life." Loki gave Enid a grin and twirled her again.
"Loki, please, you're making me a bit dizzy doing that," Enid complained; Loki rolled his eyes, and after a second, the two stopped dancing, and Loki gave her a slight bow.
"Thank you for the dance, your highness," Loki said.
"Please don't call me that," Enid said; Loki only laughed gave her a little wave before turning and heading towards Saphira; a second later, Loki and Saphira left Thor, and the two started dancing to a romantic song that started playing. Thor walked back to her, and the two of them began to dance together.
"Your sister threatened me," Thor told her.
"Your brother threatened me." Enid told him, "Though I don't think he was serious."
"Saphira was completely serious," Thor said, "It would have been frightening if she wasn't such a tiny little thing."
"I hope you didn't say that to her." Enid laughed; Saphira was tall, but she was also slim, and compared to Thor's height and muscular build, she looked small.
"Of course not," Thor replied. "Being burnt alive does not sound pleasant."
Enid laughed, they stopped dancing, and Saphira and Loki walked up.
"Guys," Saphira said. "Loki and I are going to head to his chambers; check on Fenrir."
"Yes, and I'm sure my mum and mother want to go to sleep; it is getting pretty late," Loki replied.
"Okay, " Enid replied, "We'll be up to see you guys off in the morning." When Saphira and Loki walked of, Enid turned to Thor smiling and put her arms around his waist.
"You know there aren't many people left; we could go to bed ourselves," Enid suggested.
"Great idea," Thor said, putting his arms around Enid and pulling her in for a kiss.
With a grin, Thor held out his arm, Enid slipped hers in his, and they walked to Thor's chambers together; Enid laughed when Thor insisted on carrying her through his chamber doors; they then shut and locked them. Besides the awkwardness around her mother and Saphira being a little upset, Enid was happy with how her wedding went and was the happiest she had felt in a long time.
AN: They'll be back in space in the next chapter, and my version of Civil War will be happening in a few chapters; after that one little plot that shouldn't belong, then IW, though updates could be slow at times, getting a little writer's block, I know what I want to happen, writing my ideas out is what is becoming hard to do.
