Title: Waiting
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
Summary: He's been waiting for his lover. Slash.
The wind blew softly, tussling his hair and making him shiver. Not that it mattered, he didn't feel the cold. He didn't really feel anything anymore. He watched as the sun rose and the sky became pink and orange. He saw pink and orange give way to a clear blue and clouds gather to sprinkle a little rain onto the surrounding hills and countryside. He witnessed the small yet clearly visible rainbow as it appeared and disappeared with the rain. He sat, and he watched. He watched as the days turned into weeks and weeks into years. He never moved from his comfortable position, he just sat back and watched as the days became nights and the nights became days. He watched, and he waited. But his lover didn't show up. He waited in heaven for what seemed like eternity, but his lover didn't come. He sighed and stood, stretching his muscles for the first time in decades. He turned around and was surprised to see his lover watching him.
"Where have you been?" He asked, not angry with his lover, instead excited to see him.
"I've been on Earth. I was living, but since my...departure, I've been watching you watch the world." His lover responded.
"Why didn't you let me know you were here?"
"Because I like watching you." He considered the answer, and found it acceptable.
"Okay." He and his lover embraced, and he finally felt something for the first time since he died.
"I love you, Sirius." He pledged quietly.
"I love you too, James."
Okay, so obviously James is the one who was watching the world from heaven, and waiting for Sirius. I thought it was sorta short and sweet. Tell me what you think. Read and Review.
