AN This chapter does fight in it, and since I did something different with Bruce, the Grandmaster's champion is someone else; I used the next toughest character I knew of; hopefully, it's good, and the fight is good. Enjoy.

Chapter 68: The Grandmaster's Champion.

Loki groaned as he pulled on the obedience disk stuck to his neck, but it wouldn't budge, so Loki switched to pulling on the power dampening collar around his neck, and it wouldn't budge; he knew it was useless because Loki had been trying everything he could think of to get these things off him since coming here, and nothing would get them off, it made Loki want to punch something or someone. He hated being here; he hated Sigyn; hated The Grandmaster, hated being forced to fight; he hated not being able to access his magic, being away from Saphira, away from his son, his family. He hated Sakaar, the way this collar was giving him headaches, and how it stopped his fast healing; Loki had cuts and bruises all over him from all the fights he's been in and has mange to win even without being able to use his magic.

Sigyn had the nerve to tell him if he agreed to marry her, she would get him out of here and out of the fights; Loki pointed out he was already married, and even if he weren't, he wouldn't marry her if she were the last person that exists in the Galaxy that got him a smack in the face, which Loki got a little revenge by telling Sigyn, Loki would always choose Saphira over her, proved that when he refused to go on a second date with her because Saphira had kissed him, that got Loki another slap. Now Loki was looking forward to telling Saphira everything Sigyn had said or done to him, then sitting back and watching her tear Sigyn apart.

Loki gave up trying to pull off the collar and reached up and started rubbing his temples; he hoped his family would get here soon; Loki was ready to get out of here and off this freaking planet. Loki has tried numerous times to escape, but the guards pressed the remote to the disk and sent pain shooting throughout his body. However, once he knocked out the only two guards standing near, He then took off running; Loki was able to hideout in the village for a couple of days before being found and dragged back here, where he got beaten by guards and had to lay on the ground with pain zapping throughout his body for thirty minutes, Sigyn decided to try and nurse him back to health and Loki wouldn't allow her to touch him, so she ordered him to be put back in here. With the vow that he would give in and marry her.

Loki dropped one of his hands from his temple and held it out, focused on his magic, or tried to without being able to feel it; he concentrated, but nothing, with this collar on it, was like his magic wasn't even there; he felt like half of him was missing, like he was incomplete, Loki hated this feeling, it was miserable here, and he wanted to leave.

"Hey, Loki, we have a new guy." Korg's voice carried to where Loki was; he looked up to see Korg walking his way, and to Loki's surprise, Thor was walking next to him, and he was, for some odd reason wearing Saphira's pink hoodie, with the cat ears. And it fit him tightly even though it was an oversized hoodie, looked like one false move, and Thor would bust out of it.

"Shut up, Loki," Thor demanded as Loki bursts out laughing. Korg looked between the two.

"So, you guys already know each other?" Korg asked.

"He's my brother," Loki explained, grinning; he had a feeling Saphira pulled one over on Thor to give Loki a laugh.

"So, you're Kurt?" Korg asked Thor then; he turned back to Loki. "I thought you said Kurt was blue?"

"He is; this is my other brother Thor," Loki explained.

"Oh, Thor, nope, you didn't mention him," Korg said, Loki frowning.

"Of course I did; I told you all about my family." Loki disagreed

"Nope, you told me about Kurt, your mother, your sister, wife, son, and brother-in-law, no mention of your Thor," Korg replied, patting Thor's shoulder.

"Surely I mention him," Loki said, "Well, if not, probably because I did not think the others would retrieve him to help in my rescue."

"I am standing right here," Thor announced, sounding annoyed.

"Yes, we can see that," Loki replied, "Kind of hard to miss." He started laughing again.

"That's it, I've had enough of this," Thor said; he slipped off the hoodie and threw it down, but Loki grabbed it and glared at him.

"Do not throw my wife's things on the ground," Loki demanded, "You see how disgusting the floors are here."

"Hang on, that's your wife's shirt he was wearing?" Korg asked; he turned back to Thor. "Man, your brother gets kidnapped by some crazy lady, and you move in on his wife?"

"No, I was wearing that as a disguise," Thor answered, "I would never move in on Saphira; I'm a married man."

"You married a man?" Korg asked.

"No," Thor snapped, as Loki snickered at him, "I married Enid;.."

"And Enid, is a man?" Korg cut in.

"No, Enid is a woman; I married a woman," Thor said. "She's Saphira's sister."

"You married Loki's wife's sister?" Korg asked. "But you put the moves on his wife when Loki gets kidnapped."

"I did not...Saphira isn't even my type; even if I was not married or she was not married, I would have no interest in putting the moves on her." Thor said, Loki frowning at him.

"Hang on, what's wrong with Saphira?" Loki demanded, putting his hand on his hip. "You think she's not good enough for you?"

"Oh, for Odin's shake, brother, think of what you are saying," Thor demanded, "You are seriously upset because I would not put the moves on your wife."

"Oh, yeah, never mind that," Loki replied; that was dumb. "What's the plan? How are we going to get out of here? Who is all with you?"

"Everyone is with me," Thor answered, "Well, everyone but Fenrir and Mantis, I believe, her name was, they are back on Asgard, Frigga was watching them, Mantis was going to annoy father."

"Annoy Odin?" Loki demanded, "Mantis was planning to annoy Odin? "

"Yes, it was Mother's idea," Thor replied, "Anyway, here is the plan; I was to get myself thrown in here, which I did. Remy was to steal some of the remotes that go to the disk things on our necks, which he did, Enid text me told me so not long before getting myself captured, and they are hoping we have to fight each other. They release everyone from their disk, and the contenders can escape, the guards will try to stop it, and we escape in the chaos."

"That's not a bad plan," Loki admitted, "Just one thing. What if we are not fighting each other?"

"They still release the disk, and whichever isn't in the arena can escape out with the contenders," Thor said.

"Alright, but what if I'm not the one in the arena," Loki asked, "It'll still be hard with me wearing this." He pulled on the collar. "I can not use my magic; I can still get caught or worse."

"I'll call Enid," Thor said, "Tell her not to release them until you are in the arena."

"Thank you," Loki said, slipping Saphira's hoodie over his head, then sticking his hands in the pockets.

"Why did you put that on?" Thor demanded.

"It's cold in here," Loki replied, "I can not access my jotun abilities; I can feel the cold; I do not like it." He pulled the hood onto his head. "Laugh all you want, Thor; I know the ears are there. I am the one who bought it for Saphira."

"Speaking of Saphira, Mystique said to tell you you need to have a long talk with your wife," Thor said; Loki raised his eyebrow.

"Why?" He asked.

"She used your jacket to make herself invisible and ran off from everyone," Thor explained. "Enid thinks she believes she failed you because she didn't get to save you in the maze, and Mystique was blaming her also; Enid threatened her over it."

"Enid threatened my mum?" Loki asked, "That was brave of her." He frowned; when this was all over, Loki would have to talk with Mystique; she couldn't blame Saphira for things she had no control over.

Thor opened his mouth to say something when three guards walked towards them, calling Loki's name.

"The Grandmaster wants to see you." One said.

"What for?" Thor demanded, turning around and stepping in front of Loki.

"It doesn't matter what for," Loki said, "I'm not going anywhere with them." One of the guards held up a remote; Loki shrugged, "Go ahead, press it; I can take the pain."

"Really?" He asked, then pressed the button, and Thor dropped to the ground gasping in pain.

"Hey, man, don't," Korg said, "Let him up."

"Stop," Loki called out, "Stop, I'll go see what the idiot wants. Let him up."

One of the guards grabbed Loki's arm and pulled him along; as Korg helped Thor up, the guards led Loki out of the circle room and through the rest of the building until they made it to the room with the big giant window. The Grandmaster sat to watch the fights; Loki has been there a couple of times, dragged there to see Sigyn, he much weather stays in the cold circle room, then have to see the two of them.

"There he is." The Grandmaster said as the guards opened the door and dragged Loki in. Sigyn was standing next to him, with her arms crossed. "We have a visitor here, you might know."

The Grandmaster snapped his fingers, and two guards dragged a beat-up Mystique out from around the front of the couch and dropped her a few feet away from Loki; she groaned in pain.

"Mum!" Loki cried; he went to rush forward, but a guard grabbed his arm.

"No, no, let him go to her." The Grandmaster said, and the guard let go of Loki, and he rushed to Mystique's side; she had a busted lip, and they had one of the power dampening collars on her neck, along with one of the obedience disk, Loki felt nothing but anger at seeing her this way.

"Who did this?" Loki turned to the Grandmaster and yelled. "Who did this? Whoever did is dead." Mystique reached out and gripped his arm.

"Listen to him, yelling his threats; that's cute." The Grandmaster smiled, "Sigyn had that done; she also has something she wants to talk to you about." He turned to her, "Go ahead, Sigyn."

"Loki, my beloved," Sigyn said, walking towards him.

"Do not call me that," Loki ordered. He moved in front of Mystique as she got closer; Loki felt her grab hold of the back of his hoodie.

"I wanted Saphira here instead of your new mummy but couldn't find her for some reason, so I had to make do with what I could find." Sigyn said.

"What do you want, Sigyn?" Loki demanded. "Why won't you leave me alone?"

"Do not be like that, my beloved." Sigyn said she reached out to touch Loki's face, but he moved away as Mystique slapped her hand. When she went to hit Mystique back, Loki moved in front of her to block her, and she accidentally hit him instead.

"Keep your hands off, my son," Mystique warned.

"You had me dragged up here, now tell me what, you want," Loki demanded; he was getting frustrated and angry.

"Loki, you love your mum, right?" Sigyn demanded, "She gave you life; she found you years after abandoning you; you want her safe, right? Unharmed, then marry me, that's all you have to do, is marry me, and your mother will be set free, not, well, you see what I've done to her."

"Go to hell, you wrench," Loki said before Sigyn could say anything else. The Grandmaster started laughing.

"He sure doesn't like you, does he?" The Grandmaster said, "How about I make you a better deal?"

"What deal?" Sigyn demanded, "He's here for me."

"Sigyn, dear, who rules Sakaar, you or me?" The Grandmaster demanded, "I believe the answer you are looking for is me. Now hush while I talk to Loki" The Grandmaster turned his attention back to Loki. "What she wants is boring, marry me or this will happen, or I'll do this to you, blah..blah. Blah, I have an idea that'll be more exciting than a boring wedding. " He turned to the woman that was always with him. "Topaz, let me see the melting stick." She walked over and handed it to him. "See, this, do you know why I call it a melting stick?"

"No," Loki replied.

"This is why." The Grandmaster said, touching the guard next to him with the top; the guard screamed as he turned into a pile of purple goo.

"That's disgusting," Loki said, making a face.

"Yes, well, here's my deal." The Grandmaster said, handing the melt stick to Topaz. "You want off Sakaar. You want to get away from Sigyn. Take your family with you? The Lord of Thunder, your mom there, and your other family wandering around, you already have a wife; I'm sure you don't want another one bossing you."

"He does not." Sigyn snapped, "That slut isn't his wife; I doubt that brat she calls his son is even belongs to Loki."

"Do not talk about my family," Loki yelled, standing. He went for Sigyn, and one of the guards punched him in the stomach, causing Loki to fall to his knees.

"Loki," Mystique said, crawling to him; she glared up at the guard. "That just cost you your life." The guard grinned at her and pressed the remote button; Loki bit his lip as pain shot through his body. "Stop, you bastard."

"That's enough; I need him able to fight." The Grandmaster said. The guard turned off the disk, and Mystique sat next to Loki, checking if he was okay, "Loki, I have heard around that people have been talking; they say my fights have been boring. Lately, they have grown annoyed that my champion hasn't fought in weeks; I have to keep my crowds happy, so here's your deal, fight my champion tonight, and win the fight, and you're free to go you, your brother, and mom there, along with whoever else runs around my planet may leave, lose and mom gets the melt stick."

"And if I refuse," Loki demanded. "I refuse to accept this deal."

"Mom gets the melt stick." The Grandmaster replied; Loki glared at him as he stood, then helped Mystique to stand.

"Fine, I'll fight this champion," Loki said, "But you have to let us go the moment I win. Plus, while I'm down there fighting, nobody touches my mum."

"No problem." The Grandmaster said, "Mom is in safe hands."

"Keep your hands off her. That means everyone," Loki replied. "Anyone touches her; I'll kill you all."

"I hear you." The Grandmaster said, looking more amused than scared by Loki's threat. "I keep her on the couch with me; no one will touch her."

"You'll pay for this," Loki warned, "My family is not the people you want to mess with."

Not long after that, Loki was led back down to the circle room and told to get ready for his fight later; Thor jumped up and hurried to him when he saw Loki walking towards him.

"What did that nut want?" Thor demanded.

"He has Raven," Loki replied, "He has my mum, and now I have to fight his champion in the main event, or he'll melt her with that damn melt stick."

"I'll tell Enid," Thor said, pulling out his phone and immediately calling Enid. Loki watched as Thor frowned, nodded his head, then answered, and said a few more things, then hung up.

"What did she say?" Loki asked.

"They know but are going on with the plan; once the obedience disk is off, she should be able to defend herself until someone gets there to save her." Thor said, "Mystique had sent a text telling everyone if one or more gets caught to go on with the plan, we'll all still be able to get away in the end. Everyone also has to lay low because they know we are here for you; they'll sneak into the arena when the time for the fights, though we still don't know where Saphira is or what she is doing."

"Because she's in my jacket," Loki replied. "The Grandmaster said if I win, all my family and me will be set free; I am not sure if I believe that, but we'll see, I will fight this champion and win, then if he doesn't set us free, we fight ourselves out."

Not long after that, the guards showed back up and led the fighters to the arena. Thor was the third person to fight; he won quickly, the poor guy he went up against had no chance, and the fact Thor still had his powers was a good thing; Loki stood there trying to think of a way to use that without getting zapped with pain. If they ended up having to fight themselves out and Loki couldn't get the collar off.

"Alright, fans, it's time for that special main event I've been telling you about." The Grandmaster announced as his giant hologram appeared. "On one side, we have the Prince of Mischief, that wacky, loudmouth Loki."

"I'm the God of Mischief, you fool," Loki mumbled as he walked out onto the field; two long daggers he picked out to fight with were in his hands; he now had metal breastplates on for protection, and a helmet sat on his head. Loki looked around at the crowd; he could see Mystique seated at the end of The Grandmaster's long couch; Loki looked around at the groups and spotted Enid, Rogue, Remy, and Kurt sitting next to each other, then Loki turned from them and looked forward, getting ready for his opponent as he flipped his knives.

"His opponent, you all know and love him." The Grandmaster said, "My beloved champion, he's the unstoppable Juggernaut."

Loki frowned as the crowd cheered; he had no idea who The Grandmaster was talking about, but Rogue and Kurt seemed to as they jumped to their feet, yelling out, as a guy wearing head to two metal armor came bursting through screaming about being the Juggernaut, the guy was huge, not only tall but muscular and big built too; Loki couldn't help but feel a little intimidated as the guy came charging at him.

"Oh, shit," Loki said as he dropped the knives and rolled out of the way. The Juggernaut went running by seemed hard for him to stop, as he almost went through the wall on the opposite side of the arena, Loki got back up, wishing more than ever that he had his magic, but still had on this damn collar, as he once again rolled out of the way of the charging Juggernaut, the crowd was booing. Loki knew he couldn't keep this up; he needed to fight back, find a way to beat Juggernaut, whoever the heck this guy or thing was.

Loki decided to charge at him, as he charged his way might catch him off guard, but no, that wasn't the case; when Loki collided with him, he sent Loki flying into the air, a few feet where he then came down, slamming hard onto the ground, causing pain to shoot through his body; Loki groaned and rolled over on his side, then slowly got to his feet, the crowd cheered as the Juggernaut came charging at him again, knocking him into the air, making Loki slam down on the ground again, this time the Juggernaut didn't give him time to recover as he stood over him, pounding him with his fist, Loki tried to block the blows, with little to no help.

"Fuck, that hurts," Loki said, trying to roll out of the way.

"It's supposed to, dumbass." The Juggernaut said that it dawned on Loki that this guy was Midgardain; he spoke English.

"You're Midgardain," Loki mumbled. "What are you doing here?"

"I fled Earth on a stolen spaceship to keep from being lockup and somehow ended up here." The Juggernaut said, "Now, enough with the questions."

He moved back for Loki could stand, only to punch him in the face and send him flying a few feet. The crowd roared in cheers as Loki rolled over. Juggernaut came upon Loki and went to punch him again; this time, Loki moved out of the way, and the guy's fist went through the ground; he quickly recovered and swung down at Loki again, who, for a second time, moved out of the way.

"Stop doing that, you little weasel," Juggernaut ordered.

Loki frowned; the first time someone ever called him little, he noticed he was next to one of the knives Loki dropped and picked it up, as Juggernaut came at him, Loki cut across his ankle with the knife, Juggernaut cried out, and turned and charged at Loki, who this time raked the blade across an exposed part of his arm, Loki did this a couple more times, getting him in his other arm, and on the side of the neck before he was able to dodge and grabbed Loki by the legs and began swinging him around before letting go. Loki went flying and crashed into a wall before falling forward onto the ground; with a groan, he started to feel angry as he heard laughter in the crowd. This whole thing was humiliating.

Loki slowly sat up, trying to regain his sense so he could try to fight off the Juggernaut's next move. As Juggernaut went charging towards Loki, suddenly, out of nowhere, Rosey appeared, getting in front of Loki and swinging her vines out, slapping towards the Juggernaut who paused, looking confused, then backed up, trying to avoid the exposed parts of his skin getting hit by long thick vines covered in thrones. Loki couldn't help but laugh. Good old Rosey to the rescue.

"That's my girl." Loki cheered as Rosey took off rushing forward; almost every vine on her body lashing out, she seemed a little bigger than usual, Loki didn't think much of it, though as flames burst up out of the ground, in front of him, blocking Juggernaut from Loki, as he felt rather than saw someone drop down beside him.

"I thought I was your girl?" A familiar voice said into his ear; Loki grinned bigger.

"You are more than that, love." Loki told Saphira, "You are my Queen."

"That's better," Saphira replied; Loki felt her move slightly behind him, as he could hear Rosey still smacking at Juggernaut, keeping him back, then the sound of the collar around his neck clicked before sliding off and falling to the ground, Loki gasp and leaned over, as he started laughing, he looked at his hands and could not only feel his magic tingling in his hands but could also see a bit of green in his fingers. He felt complete again.

"Are you alright?" Saphira's voice asked in his ear; she was still invisible, but Loki could feel her hand on his back.

"Oh, I'm more than alright, now, darling," Loki replied.

"Good," Saphira replied, pulling out a remote to the obedience disk; Saphira pressed a button, and the disk on Loki's neck fell off, and from the shouts and cheers from where the fighters were, it sounded like theirs came off too, Saphira then pressed another button, and Loki heard cries of pain, coming from different directions.

Loki decided Saphira could explain that later, as he felt her move away as his green magic swirled around him when it was gone, Loki was standing there in his Asgardain armor, hair long again, his scepter in his hands, helmet with horns on his head. He gave the scepter a flip as Saphira appeared next to him when she took off his jacket and sent it to their pocket dimension.

"You look much better, baby," Saphira told him; Loki nodded.

"Are you going to help me take care of this guy, beautiful?" Loki asked.

"Of course," Saphira replied as the flames went out in front of them. "We are a team."

"Hey, where did she come from?" The Juggernaut demanded. "Don't matter; I'll just hurt her too."

"Shall we silence this fool, love?" Loki asked.

"Of course, we'll get your mom back," Saphira replied. "Oh, here he comes."

The Juggernaut had charged at them, but Rosey had gotten behind him and grabbed his legs, surprisingly stopping him, but she wouldn't be able to hold on long; as Loki shot magic out of his scepter, hitting him in the chest, Rosey pulled back. The combination of the two sent the Juggernaut flying back, landing hard on the ground; he just popped up again and came charging at them; Loki shot magic at him as Rosey hit him with her vines. Saphira held her hands out and made a big gust of wind blow him back; the three worked together, knocking about the Juggernaut; Loki shot a magic blast at him as Saphira sent wind, then she ran forward a little, and vines shot up out of the ground; she and Rosey worked together and had the juggernaut down on the ground, more vines shot up, trying to wrap around him, but he just burst out of them and was back on his feet.

Rosey grabbed hold of his legs again and crawled up his front; Juggernaut cried out and tried to knock her off him; as she wrapped her vines around Juggernaut's head, covering his face where he couldn't see, letting Saphira get a couple of hits in as she seems to walk on air around him, Loki also got a couple of magic blasts in. Still, their upper hand didn't last long; Juggernaut was able to get Rosey off his face and toss her away, then grabbed Saphira and threw her across the field, but got confused as dozens of Loki's suddenly surrounded him, he yelled out, trying to catch the real one, the real Loki was standing too back for him to get, as Saphira got him in more vines, Loki blasted him with magic, but whatever they did, didn't seem enough to keep him down.

Then clouds gathered in the sky. Thunder erupted, and lightning struck across the sky, as Thor suddenly dropped down in front of them, Mjolnir in hand; he tossed it at Juggernaut, knocking him down, then called the hammer back, and went running towards him. Juggernaut and Thor got into a fight, hitting and punching each other, Thor using both his hands and hammer, Juggernaut using his hands and charging at Thor, sending him flying back, like he did Loki. He soon started helping Thor, but still, they couldn't keep the Juggernaut down.

"You need more power," Saphira said, walking up next to Loki; he saw her eyes were glowing purple, as he looked into her hands to see her holding Ronan's hammer, which still housed the power stone, Loki made his scepter disappear and took the hammer from her; Saphira rushed forward, picked up Rosey, and ran off to the side as Loki turned to Juggernaut and held up Ronan's hammer.

"Hey, asshole!" Loki yelled, "Over here!"

Loki gripped the hammer as Juggernaut charged at him; as he got near, Loki swung the hammer, his magic glowed purple as he used the power stone. The hammer hit Juggernaut on the chest, causing him to flip over it and land on his back, just as there was an explosion of powerful energy. Loki got thrown back, landing hard on his back, Juggernaut was still lying on the ground, half his armor gone, and he was moaning in pain but not moving.

"Loki," Saphira cried, rushing over to him. Just as Enid, Kurt, Rogue, and Remy came running onto the arena.

"I'm fine," Loki assured them, as Thor dropped down next to him and pulled him to his feet; Loki stumbled, but Saphira held him up, then picked up the hammer and put it back in their pocket dimension.

"You fought the Juggernaut," Remy said, "I thought he would kill you."

"You know him?" Loki asked, pointing towards him, "He's from Midgard."

"X-MEN have had a lot of run-ins with him," Kurt explained, "Real name is Cain Marko, the professor's step-brother."

"Sister," Enid came hurrying over and hugging her. "Next time we go on a rescue mission, don't run off."

"Hey, it all worked out," Saphira replied, "While you guys were hiding, I was sneaking around and placing obedience disk on the guards without them knowing."

"I helped steal the disk and the remotes," Remy said, "After I separated from Enid and Thor, I found Saphira; she told me of this plan, and I helped out before finding Rogue and Kurt."

"I figured with the guards out of commission; it'll be easier to get our revenge before leaving," Saphira replied. "I talked to Mystique after talking to Remy too; she thought it was a good idea too, and we decided we needed them to offer Loki a deal to make our plan work, so she allowed herself to get caught."

"Wait, Mum allowed herself to get taken?" Loki demanded.

"Of course," Saphira said, "You don't think these idiots could have taken her themselves? Why do you think she sent that text telling everyone to go on with the plan? We needed them to do their part so that we could do ours."

"You are genius, darling," Loki told her; he wrapped his arm around Saphira's waist and pulled her to him. And they started kissing. "Come on, let's go save Mum."

They all headed into the building, where Korg and Meik joined them and followed them up to The Grandmaster's top box, but when they entered the room, it was to see Mystique hadn't needed saving; she was sitting on the back of the couch, leg crossed, and filing her nails, looking bored, while everyone around her except for Sigyn and the Grandmaster was lying on the ground out cold, Loki noticed the guard that had punched him in the stomach was lying on the ground dead, most likely from a broken neck, with the disk off Mystique had been able to take out the entire room, even though she still wore the power damping collar.

"I saved those two for you two." Mystique said, pointing at The Grandmaster, then Sigyn and talking to Saphira and Loki." Then she pulled on the collar. "Now, can someone get this off me? It's giving me a headache."

AN: It did leave off at a cliffhanger, but next, Saphira will get a little revenge on fighting Sigyn. Hopefully, it'll be the last in this plot; then, we have a time jump.
