AN: There is fighting in this chapter; Remy and Rogue might see a little OOC at one part, but they have been leaving with Loki for years, and I changed Black Panther's plot a little, but since he wasn't in my version of CW I had to fit into the story, enjoy. A couple of chapters back, I put Saphira sent a message to go to Cap on the 13th. I should have put 12th, so when I get the chance, I'll go back and change it.

Chapter 76: Snap

Enid looked up when a dark shadow fell over the street; she sighed in relief when she saw it was the Quinjet; Steve and Bucky were here to pick her up; it had been a couple of hours since her fight with Thanos's goons, and Enid was doing everything not to fall apart, once Enid had a phone in her hand; she called Thor. Unfortunately, his phone just rung until it went to voicemail; she didn't bother leaving a message; she doubted Thor had his phone on him after using it to text Odin and handed it back to Thor; he had sat it on the control panel, and most likely that's where it still was, and there was a strong possibility Thor was not; the second number Enid tried was Loki, he didn't answer also, and Enid couldn't bring herself to call Saphira's phone, she wouldn't be able to take it when her sister didn't answer. So, Enid called Steve Rogers, and after a few rings, he, fortunately, picked up, promised to come to pick her up right away; for some reason, he was already at Avengers Headquarters; Enid hadn't realized Tony had rebuilt it or that anyone would be there. After calling him, she called Erik Lensherr and warned him of the threat. He said something about calling Charles Xavier; after her phone call, Enid gave the phone back to its owner, then sat down to wait and think as she watched everyone around her to started to leave; cops and emergency crews showed up, then electric employees arrived to try and fix it the down powerlines.

"Hey, Enid, " Steve called as he stepped off the jet; Enid picked up Mjolnir and stood.

"Steve," Enid called; she hurried to him and hugged him, "It's good to see you." Steve frowned at how shaken his friend was.

"Yeah, too bad it isn't under better circumstances," Bucky said as Steve pulled away, and Enid turned to him.

"Bucky, " Enid said, hugging him; Bucky hugged him back with his human arm; over his shoulder, Enid saw Bruce standing on the jet ramp.

"Hey, Enid, " Bruce greeted; Enid grinned and hurried to hug him, too; she wasn't usually this expressive, but she was glad to see her good friends, and she appreciated them being willing to help her.

"I'm glad to see you are doing well," Enid said, pulling away.

"Yeah, I feel no anger in me." Bruce said, "But the other guy is still angry; I haven't turned to him since Ultron, and he's not happy about it."

"Don't worry; if we can gather enough fighters, you won't have to." Enid said, "Space is where Thanos is; we need to get there and stop him from getting any more stones; he has at least four now."

"Umm, is that what I think it is?" Bucky demanded as he pointed at Mjolnir in Enid's hand; she looked down at it, still shocked about being able to lift it.

"Yeah, it fell from the sky and helped me defeat him." Enid pointed at Cull Obsidian's upper half, still tangled in the powerlines.

"Come on, let's go," Steve said; after them staring at Mjolnir, they turned and headed toward the jet as they filled Enid in.

"About going to space," Steve said, "I believe Thanos will come here."

"Why?" Enid demanded.

"Vision appeared at Avengers Headquarters earlier." Steve said, "Said he was sent by Heimdall, explained about the attack on your ship, and how Kurt teleported away with you; we were hoping you'd appear here."

"We tried calling you, but you didn't answer." Bucky said, "That was before Vision appeared, though."

"My phone got destroyed when Asgard blew up," Enid replied as she stepped into the jet, ignoring what Vision being sent to earth most means. "Is Vision still at headquarters? We need to get him somewhere safe."

"Already taking care of," Steve answered, "Us, Sam, and Rhodey were already at headquarters, making plans to protect earth; Nat showed up not long after, she saw the attack on the news; Magneto phoned us and told us a place we could go for help, said it was okay with the King, and Sam went with them to help guard Vision until we get there."

"Wait, you already knew Midgard was going to get attacked?" Enid demanded; Steve pulled out his phone, brought up a message, and handed it to Enid; it was a message from Saphira; she had set the news the night before the coronation to be sent to Steve's phone this morning at Midnight; she was warning Steve of an attack on Midgard and that Thanos was going to come looking for infinity stones.

"How did she know?" Enid asked as she sat down, feeling surprised.

"I saw that message when I got out of bed this morning." Steve said, "So, I chased Bucky up and called Sam and Bruce, and we headed straight to Avengers headquarters; Rhodey was already there; we didn't know about the attack here until you contacted us; Nat showed up while we were putting fuel in the jet and getting it started."

"No one has used it in a long time." Bruce put in as the door closed, and Steve sat in the pilot seat, getting the jets ready to take off; Bucky took Steve's phone out of Enid's hand, brought up a different message, and handed it back to her; Enid frowned at the screen; it was another message from Saphira asking Bucky to buy Fenrir, a wolf cub for his birthday, and that she wired him the money to buy it with and left the information on where he could get one.

"You didn't buy one, did you?" Enid asked, handing Steve's phone to Bucky.

"No," Bucky replied, "I bought two."

"Bucky, " Enid rolled her eyes, trying not to think about what it meant that Saphira asked Bucky to buy Fenrir a gift instead of doing it herself.

"Where are we going?" Enid demanded, changing the subject, as Bucky sat in the co-pilot seat.

"Wakanda," Steve replied.

Wakanda was a country that Enid had never heard of before. For a good reason, it had only made itself known about a year ago, which would have been sometime after she and Thor left Midgard when the King got murdered by his nephew, who was trying to gain the throne after his son won the battle and was made King he decided he wanted to help others instead of staying hidden, before now very few people outside of Wakanda knew about it. He had reached out to one of the X-MEN, a woman named Strom, who had been from Wakanda but left years ago, and offered her and the X-MEN a place to stay; the only ones still together were all the older ones who had been together long enough to be extremely loyal to each other; most of the others had taken off, to unknown locations, most likely, off of the planet.

When they got to Wakanda, two people stood outside waiting for them, a man who Enid figured was the King, and a woman, who had white hair and eyes. Enid hooked Mjolnir to her side as she followed Steve and Bucky off the jet.

"You must be Enid, " T'Challa said, turning to Enid after greeting Steve and Bucky, "I am T'Challa; it's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," Enid replied; she turned to the woman.

"Ororo Munroe," She said, "I'm more commonly known as Strom."

"I'm Enid, just Enid," Enid replied; Strom's eyes went to the tiara on Enid's head, causing her to reach up and take it off, "I was the queen of Asgard for less than a day, and then we have to flee because my planet blew up, Thanos attacked our ship, and now I have no idea if my sister or husband is alive or dead or hurt."

"I am sorry," T'Challa replied; he reached out and gripped Enid's hand, "Are your people okay?"

"Yes, they were heading to a safe place when I ended up on earth," Enid replied.

"Then be strong for them; you are still their queen; they'll need a leader when this is all over, and you can go to them and start rebuilding your Asgard," T'Challa said.

"Thank you," Enid replied, "And sorry, I didn't mean to throw all my problems on you; we are here to help Vision."

"Don't be sorry; it's completely understandable," T'Challa said, "Vision is this way."

T'Challa led them into the building, down the hall, and into a room that didn't have much in it, a metal table and computers. Enid walked in; she saw a young girl that she guessed was T'Challa's sister, Sam Wilson, who smiled and waved at her, Charles Xavier, Hank McCoy, Wolverine, Romanoff, and Vision, who, when he saw her walked over to ask if she was alright.

"Saphira, or Thor, do you know," Enid didn't finish her sentence when Vision shook his head.

"I am sorry, " Vision replied, "Heimdall sent me here early in the fight; all I know is he was hurt badly, and after getting me out of Thanos's hands, he most likely killed him."

Enid nodded, not being able to bring herself to say anything; it hurt to hear Heimdall was gone; he was always like an uncle or even a second father figure to all of them growing up; Enid wished she could find out what happened to Thor and Saphira, where are they, were they still alive. She didn't want to believe Ebony was telling the truth about her sister.

"Enid, my dear." Erik's recognizable voice said behind her, "It's good to see you." Enid turned around to greet Erik and was surprised to see he wasn't alone; not only were Wanda and Pietro with him, but Rogue, Remy, and Mystique were too. "I'm late because I called in for some help."

Enid gave Erik a quick hug; she knew he had feelings for her, but they were still good friends, and she was happy to see him; after greeting Erik, Rogue assured her the Asgardians had made it to Alfheim; Fenrir was safe and left in the care of Frigga and Vera, Enid's grandmother, Enid was a little annoyed to hear her mother was there too, knowing Saphira wouldn't like her being anywhere near her son but decided not to mention it; after they gave their news to Enid, she admits she had no idea where Saphira, Thor, Loki, and Kurt were, explaining how Saphira tricked Kurt into thinking Enid was her, so he teleported away with Enid instead, and how last she saw him he was abducted by an alien, Enid deciding they had a right to know what Ebony said about Saphira since they were her family; Rogue looked shocked and close to tears, Remy had a look like he was about to kill someone. Mystique showed no emotions and just stared at Enid for a moment before leaving the room; Rogue and Remy followed her, then, after a moment, everyone got to discussing the best way to get the stone out of Vision's head while Enid stood and listened.

"The structure is polymorphic," Shuri said; Vision was now lying on the table as Suri ran scans on him.

"Right. we had to attach each neuron none sequentially." Banner said,

"Why didn't you just preprogram the synopsis to work collectively?" Shuri asked.

"Because, we, didn't... think of it?" Banner replied. Enid smiled a little; of course, they didn't; she had thought but never tried it.

"I'm sure you did your best," Shuri said.

"Can you do it?" Enid asked; Shuri turned to her.

"Yes. But there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures." Shuri replied.

"How long will it take?" T'Challa asked.

"It will take time, brother," Shuri answered.

"How long?" Steve demanded.

"As long as you can give me," Shuri said.

"Cap, " Rhodey's voice spoke over Steve's ear price, "We have company."

Thanos's army had arrived without Thanos; they quickly made a plan; Shuri would get the stone out of Vision's head while they held off the bad guys, Hank, and Xavier, would stay behind to guard the room so that Shuri could work, Wanda was waiting behind too, so she could destroy the stone once it was out of Vision's head, having been exposed to it for a while when being held captive by Ultron, she had gotten more powerful, and they believed she would be able to do it. Everyone else was to head out to fight.

Enid turned around and led them all out and down to the battlefield; T.'Challa was trying to hold off fighting by having a protective barrier over Wakanda; Enid stood in the front of those willing to fight, Steve to her right, Bucky to her left, Erik stood next to him, then Sam was next to Steve, everyone else that was in the room lined up next to them.

"They have the Chitauri with them," Steve said, watching their ships hover over the doom.

"I thought we killed all those sons of a bitches." Wolverine said.

"Looks like they were more," Bucky replied.

"The woman in the front is looking at us," Enid said to Steve, "That's Proxima Midnight. She was with Thanos when he attacked the ship, I believe; she's usually with a guy, I think; Loki said he was her lover, maybe husband, I'm not sure."

"I didn't need that information," Sam said, looking sick.

"The point is, him not being with her could mean he's up to something," Enid said.

"Got it," Steve replied. Enid started walking down the hill; Steve followed.

"So, where's your friend?" Steve demanded.

"That isn't your concern," Proxima replied.

"If you do not wish to die like Cull Obsidian, you better leave while you can," Enid told her.

"If you do not wish to die like your sister, you will give up that stone," Proxima replied.

"Bitch!" Enid cried, and if it hadn't been for Steve holding her back, Enid would have found a way to break through the barrier and kill her; they turned and headed back up to the others.

"You are in Wakanda now!" T'Challa yelled, "Thanos will get nothing but dust and blood."

"We have blood to spare," Proimxa said; Enid made it back to the others and turned around, just as Mystique pushed her way up to Enid, Rogue next to her; she had a red and wet face like she had been crying, and Mystique looked upset.

"Kurt is alive." Mystique said in a low voice, "He ran into Loki. He was with some other friends; they went to Titan, fault Thanos, and lost; the only infinity stone he doesn't have now is Visions."

"Does that mean?" Enid didn't finish the question; the Chitauri had started killing themselves trying to get in; T'Challa decided to let them in and fight.

"I'm sorry," Mystique answered before turning and walking off; Enid fell to her knees in tears just as the protective barrier was lifted and Thanos' army came running through, and all around her, a battle broke out; her friends wanted to make sure she was okay, but couldn't because they had to join the fight.

Enid brought her knee up and laid her face on it and cried; Magneto stayed next to her and fought off any Chitauri coming near her or any other nonearthly creature in Thanos's army; overhead, War Machine flew around, shooting from the air; Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon, had improved his wings during his exile from America; he had added small missile-like weapons to his wings that he was now shooting as he flew around; Captain America was fighting with his hands and shield, Bucky was firing his large gun, and using his metal arm the warriors from Wakanda and those that came to help we're fighting with hands and spares and other weapons, Remy was tossing cards, and using his bo-staff, Rogue was flying around and coming at them with her fist, Wolverine was going through them with his claws, the other X-MEN were using their powers, and Mystique was using her martial arts skills. Everyone was fighting, some winning, some losing.

Enid raised her head when she heard thunder to see it was coming from Strom; Enid looked away, and her eyes fell to Mjolnir hanging on her side and decided it was time to get up and fight.

"Are you alright, dear?" Erik asked as Enid stood and pulled Mjolnir off her side; she nodded.

"Yeah, I think I'll feel much better after killing Thanos's army," Enid replied; she tossed Mjolnir and then caught it before running into battle; she took out anyone and everyone that was near, she hurled Mjolnir at the enemy, she used it to strike them down. Enid didn't forget her abilities; she used her magic and telekinesis to defeat her opponents. Also, she was allowing her grief and anger to fuel her fighting as she went through Chitauri like they were nothing. Then Enid somehow ended up standing next to Strom.

"I saw you had the storm's power within you too." Storm said.

"Yeah, I borrowed them from my husband," Enid replied, showing her Mjolnir.

"Oh, yes, the Mighty Thor, I've heard of him and you." Storm replied, "My point is we could combine our abilities and take out some of these monsters."

"Okay, " Enid agreed; Storm took off, flying into the sky; Enid followed, using Mjolnir to do so, then she used her telekinesis to stay in the air; she and Storm looked at one another and nodded; Storm started calling fourth lighting, and Enid raised Mjolnir to do the same thing, all around them was lit up with blue and white lightning, Storm and Enid were back to back, throwing lighting out everywhere, taking out the Chituari ships, Enid was starting to gain a little hope, they might win this fight, Enid spotted Scott Sommers being surrounded, trying to keep them all back with his lasers, Enid flew to him, and raised Mjolnir, as Storm call forth her lighting, then Enid slammed Mjolnir on the ground as Storm shot her blots down, all around Sommers the aliens were taking out.

"Guys, we have a Vision situation," Steve said over the earpieces; Enid looked to see Vision getting chased by Corvus Glaive; and without a word to the two X-MEN, Enid took off flying towards Vision; she landed next to them, then landed next to them and hit Corvus with Mjolnir knocking him down.

"Vision, get out of here," Enid yelled, then turned back to Corvus and tossed Mjolnir at him again; she went to hit him again, only to get knocked down, and looked up to see Proxima Midnight standing over her with her spare pointed at her.

"Your sister died with people around here, but you, you will die alone and in pain," Proxima said.

"She's not alone, sugar," Rogue said, landing next to Enid with a blue sword with a white handle in her hand, "And she ain't going to die, you are; you all messed with the wrong family."

Proxima turned to Rogue to say something when Mystique suddenly came up behind her and grabbed from behind, wrapped her arms around her head, and held her still; Enid stood and picked up Mjolnir as Remy walked by dragging a badly beaten Corvus Glaive over, then Rogue and Remy held him in place by his arms.

"You think you can get by with killing a member of our family and get by with it? Then cause my son pain; you are about to see how wrong you were." Mystique said, then she jerked Promixa's head so hard her neck snapped. Mystique let go of her, and her body crumbled to the ground; Corvus looked on in horror, his eyes wide, staring at Proxima's body.

"You feel that, don't you?" Mystique demanded, stepping over Proxima and grabbing Corvus by the jaws and forcing him to look at her, "That's what my son felt when you stood by and did nothing as Thanos snapped his wife's neck; this is the pain, my son is still feeling, don't feel very good, does it? My daughter spoke the truth; you messed with the wrong family."

"You all killed our sister," Rogue said, "You want that daddy of yours to snap away half the universe; you all are monsters, so we feel no guilt from this." she handed Mystique the sword, and she used it to slice Corvus in half. Enid wenched as she watched in shock; Mystique tossed the blade to the ground and looked at her.

"Kurt said Loki wasn't taking Saphira's death well." Mystique said, "We all loved that crazy brat; we couldn't let them get by with being a part of her death." She turned and walked off; Rogue and Remy followed, the latter squeezing Enid's shoulder as he walked by; Rogue gave her a quick hug, Enid herself, then rejoined the battle; she wasn't sure where Vision went.

They started off winning, and even though Proimxa and Corvus had been taking out, the other creatures on Thanos's side didn't seem to care, especially the Chitarui, who kept coming and coming. The ones standing their ground were soon growing tired and battle-worn as they soon became overwhelmed and were starting to be beaten; Enid herself fell to the ground with three Chitarui on top of her. Then suddenly, the Bifrost, or what looked like the Bifrost, came down, lighting up all around it; then, a giant ax came flying out of it, taking out the creatures all around, including the Chitauri above Enid; she sat up, as the ax flew back to them at the same time, the light disappeared, and there stood Thor holding it, standing by him were a raccoon and a tree.

"Bring me, Thanos!" Thor yelled; he swung his ax and took off running; even though her heart ached for her sister, Enid smiled, called Mjolnir to her hand, and took off flying towards Thor; she hovered over him as he made lighting strike everything around him, then she dropped down in front of him.

"Hi," Enid said; Thor stood and stared at her a moment before rushing forward and lifting her into his arms; Enid laughed and wrapped her arms around him.

"Enid, my beloved, I was so worried," Thor said, squeezing her tighter.

"I was worried about you too," Enid replied, "God, Thor, I love you so much."

"I love you too," Thor replied, sitting Enid down before either could say anything else; Thor's eyes fell on Mjolnir in Enid's hand and widened, then he pointed at it and yelled, "I knew it!"

"Yeah, it fell from the sky into my hand," Enid replied. Thor grinned and pulled Enid to him and kissed her head.

"I already knew you were worthy; I don't need a hammer to tell me that," Thor told her; Enid smiled a little, then looked away as it dropped. Thor reached his hand out and laid it on her cheek, and ran his thumb across it, "Enid, I am afraid I have some terrible news."

"I know." Enid interrupted, a tear falling down her face, and Thor whipped it away, "Thanos's bastards keep throwing it in my face." Thor pulled her to him and allowed her to cry on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Enid; I tried to help her, but she had those vines of her holding Loki and me down," Thor explained, "Something wasn't right; I felt thorns sticking all in my body, it was somehow taking away our strength and abilities."

"I have reason to believe she knew," Enid said, pulling away, "Saphira knew it would happen; I don't understand why didn't she run and hide or tell anyone?"

"We'll find the answers," Thor replied, "After we stop Thanos and kill the rest of his army."

"Then let's go kill them," Enid replied; she grinned at Mjolnir, and Thor gripped Stormbreaker, and Enid and Thor flew into action. Flying around, bringing lightning, taking out whoever was left to take out, unfortunately, more just kept coming; at one put, Storm joined them, and the storm all three brought was a sight; it turned dark and windy, then the lighting was everywhere.

"If anyone can get to Cap, he needs help," Sam said over the earpiece; Enid looked around until she found Steve; he was lying on the ground, not far from Vision, who was dead, the stone ripped from his head, standing over Steve was Thanos, Steve was trying to push Thanos back, he was trying to do something to him with the gauntlet.

"Bastard," Enid said; she took off towards them, landed behind Steve, and tossed Mjolnir at Thanos; it hit him in the face, making him stumbled back; she called Mjolnir to her, then ran towards Thanos, hitting him with Mjolnir, he stood up straight, pointed the gauntlet at her, and fired purple light at her, it only missed because Remy came out of nowhere and pushed her out of the way, then jumped up, and started tossing cards at him. Rogue flew in, punching Thanos back, then Mystique popped up behind him, shifted into Thanos's form, and started using his strength to beat him up; the three together were doing a good job, beating the living daylights out of Thanos.

"The gauntlet." Steve cried, "We need to get the gauntlet from him."

Enid rushed forward and grabbed hold of Thanos's arm and started trying to pull it off; Steve jumped up and ran over to help, but with a bust of strength, Thanos pulled his arm away, shot at Mystique with the power stone; she landed on the ground, shifted back to her and form, laid there, he then tossed Rogue away, then Remy, then Steve, he pointed the stones at Enid.

"Go ahead, do it." Enid challenged; before he could, though, thunder roared, lightning came down along with an ax; it got Thanos right in the chest as Thor landed in front of him; he pushed the ax in a little more.
"I told you, you would die for that," Thor said, pushing harder; Enid walked over and joined him; she put her hands on the ax, and together she and Thor went it further into Thanos's chest.

"You should have." Thanos gasped out, "You should have gone for the head."

To Enid's complete shock, Thanos raised his hand with the gauntlet and snapped his fingers, the sound echoing around them. Enid let go and stepped back as Thanos disappeared; something felt wrong.

"Remy," Rogue said, "I don't feel right, sugar." Enid looked her way to see Rogue turn to dust, leaving nothing but a pile of clothes.

"Rogue," Remy screamed, running to Rogue's clothes, "Where did she go? Where?"

Enid turned from Remy and looked; all around them, people were disappearing; War Machine's armor came crashing out of the sky, so did the white outfit that belonged to Storm; Enid heard something hit the ground behind her, she looked to see Steve's shield and uniform lying in a pile of dust; they all looked around in shock, someone came running up to them, Enid turned to see Erik and Pietro.

"Oh, thank God," Erik said, upon seeing Enid, "Wanda, she turned to dust, so did Charles, I don't understand."

"Thanos won," Enid replied, then turned from Erik and looked to make sure Thor was still there; he was; he looked up at Enid with wide eyes.

"What have I done?" Thor asked.

AN, I had their clothes or anything on them stay behind because their clothes and Loki's metal arm turning to dust with them never made sense to me.
