Emmett POV.
Its been a couple of weeks since I saw Bella and it has been hard not seeing her, but I need to know who
the rat is. Hunting the rat is very difficult because he is smart. I just hope it is not someone I know very well like my
brother, but you never know. All I know is it has to be another vampire as it did not smell like one of the pups that is
good to know as I did not want it to be one of my mate's family. It was difficult enough to try and woo her when
somehow, she is oblivious to me liking her, having to hurt her family would make it impossible. In order find out who
the rat was and who they worked for I layered a trap for them. I called all my men and told everyone that I had a
shipment coming in. I gave different men different locations and times. Everyone got something different a unique
time and place, and I am monitoring all their calls. This included my brothers. As soon as they tomorrow falls, I will
find the rat and exterminate them. I called my father and told him that I need to see him today if he could get away
from ma.
He told me that he and jasper are on their way as he wanted to talk to me about something anyway. I said
okay I will see them in a little bit. then I called John and asked him if he could come over as I wanted to talk to him
about Bella, he said that would be fine. He would be over later that night with Paul as it had to be later as Paul has to
run around Rez and Forks too. Paul wanted to be in the loop and is very protective of Bella. They wanted to talk
about what I was going to do about Bella as she is my mate. I told him that is what I wanted to talk to him about
anyways he said okay then he hanged up on me. I muttered prick miffed he hung up on me like that. After I was done
talking to John my father and brother walked into the house.
Jasper said that might have a rat problem and I said that I already knew that. Then he surprised me by
saying he thinks it might me Edward as he has been not around that much. When I called earlier to tell everyone that
I had a shipment coming in he called someone after that and told them what I told him. When Jasper told me that I
was so mad how could my own brother do that to me I had no clue. I told them of my plan to trap the rat and that if
people showed up at the time and place, I gave Edward we would know for sure. My father said that let's see if it is
him before we light him of fire, I hope the hell it is not him. Deep down however we all knew that tomorrow was likely
to be very painful for all of us. Ma was going to be heartbroken.
